they were still in the hospital by the time doctors came and saved johnnys life

they just didn't hear it,and yatta yatta dally knocked off a conveanince store or however you spell it and got himself killed for no reason

then when ponyboy got really sick, they put him in the same room as johnny, the gang was so flipping confused that johnny was still kickin causw he was supposed to be dead

and when ponyboy woke from his coma, johnny was home, in his house, only difference was that he was wheelchair bound n stuff

so pony got even more sick, like he cried till he threw up he was so distraught

Okay, so look. In the Officer Down arc, Bruce is out with Dick, and they're fighting some Joker henchmen. Then Bruce hears over the television that Jim Gordon has been shot, and he starts absolutely going to town on the Joker henchman he's fighting. Dick comes around the corner, sees him, realizes he's about to kill him, and pulls him off. And Bruce backhands him across the room and yells at him not to touch him. And then Oracle comes through to call all assets to her, and Dick goes, and he's bleeding, and when he gets there he's still bleeding, and she asks, "Why are you bleeding?" and he says, "Ah, I guess one got past me." And I'm not - look. I'm about to explode about this. Bruce in this arc REFUSES TO EVEN HELP THEM look for Jim's shooter, he plants himself by Jim's bed and just... is there, being upset. And meanwhile. Dick is helping Babs through her reflexive desire to get revenge by killing the guy who shot her dad by talking her through what it's like to lose a parent and how you have to live up to what they would have wanted you to be.
