inspired by this post and fleshed out in @majestictortoise's DMs, but warehouse AU where Kim and Chay don't quite clear the warehouse before Tawan blows it. maybe Kim was sticking close to the edge of the building for cover, maybe he wasn't ready to hand Chay over to his father's men, maybe Tawan blew the building early--idk, not important! all that matters is: Kim and Chay are far enough away they don't get hurt by the blast itself, but close enough a chunk of the building or debris can fall over their head.

naturally, Kim shields Chay. gets hurt.

and THAT's when Chay wakes up.

now, they don't stay trapped for long. they're the first two people Porsche and Kinn look for after they brush off the clothes embers, and their brothers are FRANTIC to find them. they find them quickly, but not before Kim gets Chay frantically patting him down to check if he's alright (he's not) and asking him a thousand questions (what he's actually worried about). the only questions answered are "where are we?" and Chay's "do you hearing ringing? my ears are still ringing" (cue Kim frantically checking his head, which Chay very much likes but also P'Kim, you're bleeding, P'Kim!). there are 998 unanswered and unresolved questions still waiting when their brothers uncovered them, then Chay's scooped up into Porsche's arms and Kim's scooped up into Kinn's, and Kim's OVERWHELMED by brother's affection but also pretty pissed Kinn's bullshit hurt Chay and he just told Kinn that instead of thank you for coming like he'd meant to say but he doesn't know how to tell him that NOW--

listen, Kim's house of cards lies in shambles, he's dealing with approximately 300x his usual gamut of emotions, Kinn manages to wrangle him into the hospital and knows not to leave him alone until the nurses have finished stitching him up, but then Kim sneaks out in the time it takes Kinn to turn his head long enough to thank the nurses (the nerve of that boy!).

meanwhile, the rest of them are putting out literal fires and cleaning up rubble and trying to figure out how the fuck they're going to bury this bullshit, but all of that is secondary because Chay Has Questions. some of which Porsche genuinely can't answer ("WIK is MAFIA?!") and most of which Porsche doesn't want to answer ("why are YOU mafia hia!!"). Porsche is very uncomfortable, up until Chay learns Kim is missing from the hospital and he gets distracted worrying over him.

which. Kim running away when Chay has firm proof he cares and knows where he lives? genius plan Kim.

and Kim thinks his brothers are going to leave him alone after a building fell on him?

it's been a long two days basically, it's time for Kim to cry on his brothers' shoulders where it's safe. there are tears. there is snot. there is CLUTCHING and CLINGING. Porsche and Chay show up idk, eventually, and there is even MORE crying and clutching and clinging. all roads lead to patricide so that happens too eventually, but i am not writing this so who knows how that happens. Korn can be a footnote in this anyways, the important thing here is Kim and Chay getting trapped bleeding feelings, Kim and Chay getting scooped up by brothers before anything's resolved, and finally Kim crying with snot on brothers while brothers conspire to kill their father because seriously, fuck this bullshit.

5. Stacklands (Sokpop Collective)

Sokpop managed to combine the perfect mix of mechanics to keep me hooked for hours. Luckily this game has an "ending" of sorts, or I probably would still be playing. It's a card-based village-building game with fun twists and Sokpop's signature whimsical art style. There have been two free expansions released already, with more on the way.

4. Deep Collar (uncle_specter)

This was a micro-indie game submitted to a game jam that I also entered. It's a free 2D pixel game conveyed mostly through dialogue. It's only a few minutes long. It fucking ruined me. I didn't expect to care about these characters so much - they all feel like real people.

3. Pentiment (Obsidian Entertainment)

I haven't finished this game yet, but I can just tell it's going to be one of my all-time favourites. Josh Sawyer is a wizard and he and Obsidian have done it again. It's a Disco Elysium-esque blend of humour, mystery, and long blocks of text, with a gorgeous marginalia-inspired art style. I only wish it wasn't a Microsoft exclusive, but that's capitalism I guess.

2. Tunic (Tunic Team/Finji)

My favourite game of 2021 was Death's Door, and Tunic follows in the same vein of isometric Souls-like Zelda-like action-adventure. I did need to use a guide for some sections, but it's overall not a difficult game. It's a beautifully designed world with some truly horrific secrets, and excellent gameplay mechanics.

1. Elden Ring (From Software)

This is my most boring take. Look, anyone who says Elden Ring isn't the Game of The Year is kidding themself. It's everything people love about FromSoft games, but more of it. Yes, some of the bosses are badly designed, the story is less coherent than other games, and the open world reuses a lot of assets. It's definitely not the platonic ideal of a video game. But it is quantitatively and qualitatively the best game of 2022, and a step forward for games as a medium.

3. Least favourite things to draw?

Buildings. Especially cities. It's just so much straight lines and boxes. It's very uninspiring to me. An occasional gothic castle or a witch's cottage in the woods I don't mind, but city buildings feel so impersonal and boring to me I don't even feel like trying to get creative to unlock their potential because there just doesn't seem to be much there for me personally. My style is kinda impressionistic and my impression of city buildings is "boring grey box" so. I have no desire to persuade myself to see it otherwise.

6. Which artists inspire you right now?

DrMistyTang whose comics I've been reading on DeviantArt for a long time is always an inspiration, her style is such a great mix of soft and dreamy but colourful and intense, it pulls you right into the story. There's a Finnish artist called Helene Schjerfbeck who is absolutely brilliant with faces, emotion and atmosphere and has such a distinct style that is always interesting to look at. She continues to be a long-term inspiration. Also a newer inspiration is Annika Hiltunen, I have a collection of her fairytale-like post cards, they are an absolute delight.

15. Biggest artist pet peeve?

Since I got this ask twice, I'm going to think of something different to answer this time. Somehow I find it difficult to know what would count exactly, and if a pet peeve is supposed to be a small or big thing, and this isn't about artists specifically but... I find it particularly annoying when non-artists think I'm being modest or self-pitying when I say I'm not that great at drawing. It's annoying when people immediately go defensive like "If you're not good at drawing, then what am I?". It annoys me when people don't get that it's relative. I'm not that great compared to what my goal is, what the vision in my head is. I'm only comparing myself to where I want to go, not to you. I couldn't care less which one of us is "objectively" better, if you're not trying to get anywhere with art, then what is it to you how good or bad I am? It's not being modest or self-pity, it's a realistic assessment of where I am compared to where I want to go, and if I was sitting here satisfied with being "better than you" then how would I ever improve?

24. How do you deal with art block?

I look for outside inspiration. If I have art block, it's almost definitely because I've been looping with the same information and same set of skills for too long, it means it's time to get some new information in there, it's that there isn't anywhere new to go with what I have in my brain already, and once I have some new tips, techniques, details I haven't noticed about reality before, those will begin to naturally mix with what I already know and at some point a new idea will form. Sometimes it's as simple as looking out of the window and noticing some bit about colours that I haven't consciously noticed before because I didn't have room for that yet when I was too busy noticing other things that were more relevant at the time.

just wanted to mention that I actually do have like. vibes, i guess. that i (choose to) associate with the numbers, and those are consistent in these readings

(again, this is just an intuition pump thing; it's... there's nothing supernatural here, this is just a ttrpg of sorts. if you want it in more mystical language, the cards don't reveal the future so much as they help you find that which you already know but have not realized yet.)

4: orthogonality. things being unrelated, happening at the same time but without interacting, coincidences (4 is the smallest nontrivial square)

"So here you're going to turn and he'll make you do a parallel park in the street. You remember how to do that right?" Oikawa asked as he guided you to the next turn. As you turn the steering wheel, you spot a crowded curbside.

"No, can you please please park for me? I hate parallel parking," You pleaded.

"Only because you asked so nicely," He teased.

Ever since you told your best friend that you wanted to learn how to drive, Oikawa never let it go whenever you wanted to hang out. Having you drive him around for practice and giving you tips as you went. He's helped you a ton while you drove around, the only issues you had were parallel parking and merging onto the highway.

"Maybe we should try the highway again," Oikawa said after you two switched seats.

"Are you asking for a death wish?" You joked. "I drive too slow and I'm scare to merge into lanes."

"We can practice on smaller freeways if you want," He asks.

"No," You growled.

It was always a terrifying thing to drive on the highway. You always saw those horrid accidents and feared being in one. Oikawa would always put his hand on your thigh as you merged to calm you down. Just having him be there was enough to get you to get onto the highway. All your fears just faded with him beside you.

Just having this intimate driving lesson with him was enough for you. You grew to fall in love in your best friend. A cliché thing, yet you couldn't say anything. Only you and your girl friends knew about your big crush. It was a funny thing, falling for your childhood best friend. Iwaizumi always joked about you doing so but you never admitted to liking Oikawa. What would that do to your friendship?

Today was the day, it was your test day. The scariest thing you anticipated was finally here. The thing you practiced days on end with Oikawa. The thing that could either make or break you. Today, you'd either come out with your license or you'll be walking home.

The nerves crept up your body like spiders leaving a trail of anxiety webs. You bounced you leg as you waited in the lobby looking out for your driving instructor. As your sweaty palms go to check the time, you notice a text message from Oikawa.

butthead: hey! good luck on your test today!

That's what cooled you down. A simple saying of good fortune will help, right? Sure enough, the test was a breeze, minus the parallel parking as it was the one mistake you got. You happily drove home to tell the news to your parents.

"Have you told Tooru yet?" Your mom asked.

"I'll wait until my actual driver license to prove to him I got it," You smiled.

"You like him don't you?" Your mom gestured to the joy on your face. "I can tell."

"No," You looked away from your mom as she raised her eyebrow. "Okay, maybe but you can't say anything. I'm going to my room now." She chuckled as you dragged you feet to your room.

Two weeks passes and you finally received your license in the mail. You smiled happily down at your new card as you walked outside the school building. You looked up to search for your best friend. Your eyes scanned the courtyard before landing on Iwaizumi. Assuming Oikawa was nearby, you headed towards him.

"Hey Iwa, where's Oiks?" You asked. Iwaizumi raised up his hand and pointed across to the gate. You looked over to find Oikawa talking to Kasumi, a classmate of yours.

"He's asking her to go on a date with him again," Iwaizumi says.

Again? He's done it before?

"Are they dating?" You ask.

"Not yet, Oikawa wants to ask her to be his girlfriend on the date," Iwa explains. "What's that?" He points to your hands as you fiddled with the corner of your driver's license.

"Oh," You said solemnly. "I got my license."

You waved goodbye to your childhood friend before going into he parking lot. Without thinking, you started the car and just began to drive. Out of the school and onto who knows where. Your mind grew blank as you drove.

How could he not mention Kasumi to you? He used to tell you everything but lately he'd been so distant. Maybe that's why he hasn't texted you all week, you thought. Who could blame him for liking Kasumi? She's so pretty and not to mention how smart she is. She's the class representative and she's one of the nicest girls around.

You fell for the one man you shouldn't have. It was too late to even confess how you felt. He was already falling for another while you were left behind. You felt a sharp pain in your chest as you drove by familiar buildings.

The laundromat where you and Oikawa would go to help with the laundry. You both would end up messing around and your parents would have to kick you two out. You and Oikawa would go across the street to the convenience store to buy steamed buns.

He doesn't like you.

The library where you would wait for Oikawa to finish practice so you two could study together. He'd bring you a bottle of tea and some sort of snack to keep you from burning out. Those study dates where you'd stay until the library was closed.

Give up, stop thinking of him.

The ramen restaurant where Oikawa would take you if he won a game. It was a great celebration and you two had made so many memories there. You two had gone there so often, he convinced the owner that you were his girlfriend.

Let him go.

All the feelings you had for him began to ache in your heart as you reminisced in the memories. You gripped tighter on the wheel as you saw an highway exit. "Fuck," You whispered as you merged into the fast lane. Suddenly all those fears you had of driving, just disappeared. You felt this peace as your eyes locked on the long highway. It was like, nothing hurt anymore. Your tensed shoulders relaxed, yet you felt tears roll down your cheeks. You took deep breaths as you drove attempting to stop your tears.

Soon enough, driving on the highway had shifted from a phobia to an escape. Everyday after school, rather than meeting up with Oikawa and Iwaizumi before practice, you'd drive on the highway and on backroads. It was the only thing that kept you sane when you see Kasumi with Oikawa together.

You became accustomed to the fast pace of the highways. Occasionally you'd speed if you felt some type of pain grow in your chest. You'd blast music to drown out any thoughts or feelings you had. You knew Oikawa could never be yours, so why bother crying over him, right? The thought of being around him began to make you uncomfortable. If you kept your distance, you wouldn't get hurt. You wouldn't be considered a distraction.

butthead: hey?

you: what's up?

butthead: it's been a while since i've seen you :( i miss my best friend

you: are you sure you mean to text me or iwa?

butthead: you, y/n i miss hanging with you

butthead: you didn't come to the restaurant after our game

you: i was busy, sorry

butthead: :(

you: i gotta go, ill talk to you later

Oikawa sighed at his phone and looked across the table to Iwaizumi. "Have you talked to Y/n lately?" He asked.

"Yeah, she borrowed gas money from me," Iwa says before slurping his noodles.

"Gas money? She got her license?" Oikawa tilts his head. "How long has it been?"

"A month? You got caught up with Kasumi," Iwaizumi says.

"Hmph," Oikawa huffed as he sipped his drink. He'd been spending so much time with Kasumi that he forgot about you. Or was it, you started to forget about him? He glances at the window behind Iwa and noticed a familiar car parking.

You parked your car across the street of the restaurant next to a convenience store. You quickly got out and went into the store looking for something to drink. As you began to scan the fridge, you heard the door open. "Y/n?" You turned to find Oikawa.

"What are you doing here?" You turned back to grab a soda.

"Iwa came to eat with me since you didn't make it," Oikawa says. "He's still there, did you want to join us?"

"No thanks, I'm kinda busy at the moment," You say dully. Oikawa goes to speak but you had already walked to go pay for your drink. "Later Oikawa."

"Oikawa?" He watched as you left the store and into your car. He follows suit and watched you speed off. Oikawa quickly makes his way back to the restaurant and seats himself disgruntled. "Y/n called me Oikawa..."

"That's your name isn't it?" Iwaizumi raised his eyebrow.

"She always calls me Oiks or Ru, never Oikawa," He says. "Did I do something wrong?"

Iwaizumi shrugged even though he knew the answer well enough. After Oikawa had asked Kasumi to be his girlfriend, your demeanor had changed. Iwa was the first to notice too. Typically, after school you'd see the duo before practice started, yet since you learnt Oikawa had eyes for another, you stopped.

One day, Iwaizumi decided to follow after you when school was over. He trailed behind as you walked to your car door. You pulled open the door handle only for Iwa to shut the door immediately after. You turned to find Iwaizumi with scrunched eyebrows. "What's wrong with you?" He asked. "Why haven't you came by before practice?"

"No reason, I'm just busy," You lied.

"Liar, what's wrong?" He asks yet you remained silent. "I won't tell Shittykawa just tell me why you're being so distant...and also why your eyes are always puffy."

You paused before answering, "I'm just...upset with Oikawa...and Kasumi.."

"Do you..?" Iwaizumi implied. You nod and looked at the ground. "What have you been doing since you found out about them?"

"Driving," You sighed. "Just driving...It's keep me off my mind all week. I bear the fact that he looks so happy with her and not...me. God I'm so stupid."

"Don't say that-" Iwa started but you immediately lashed out.

"It's true! I was too late to confess! And I fell for the one boy I can't have!" You felt tears well up in your eyes. "I can't even drive by certain places without getting upset. I take backroads and I avoid them completely. I hate driving by his house but it's the only way to my own. He just treats me like another fucking fan girl! I'm just so stupid for falling for my best friend." Since that day, Iwaizumi kept to his promise. Not word about your feelings were said to Oikawa.

butthead: hey are you busy right now ?

you: no, what's up?

butthead: can you help me with something?

you: depends

butthead: meet me at the library so i can tell you more :)

You locked you phone and tossed it into your passenger's seat. You looked up to see the light change to green, allowing you to speed into the highway. Your hands rested at the bottom of the wheel as you drove. The slow, lo-fi music surrounded your car as you drove which let you get out of your trapped mind.

It was a crazy thought to think that you and Oikawa were so excited to drive together. Yet now all you want to do is drive alone. You turned up the volume of your music as you merged into your neighborhood. You leaned further back into your seat as you were driving around the suburbs. You glance at the white cars lining one street leading to the library. You scoffed at the sight as a repressed memory resurfaced.

"Why do you like white cars so much?" You chuckled.

"Because they look clean and nice? Sorry I don't like your basic silver car," Oikawa raised his hand to block your face.

"I'm basic? Says the one who wants an automatic," You pretend to throw up to mock him.

"For someone who can't drive yet, you talk big," Oikawa pats your head only to be smacked a few seconds late. Oikawa drapes his arm over you as you walked down the street to the library The entire walk was filled with mocking and talking about the future. "Let me teach you how to drive, that way we could go out together more."

You finally arrived at the library, spotting Oikawa before parking the car. He watches as you easily parallel park and is stunned by how casual you are as you drove. You set out and approach him. Oikawa holds out a snack to you but you politely refuse.

"Let's go inside?" He asks. You shrugged and followed him in. Rather than sitting beside him like usual, you sat across from him. You still had those feelings for him but you couldn't stand sitting next to him. Your heart was pounding out of your chest as you anticipated his next words. "I was wondering if you could help me with Kasumi?"

Ouch.

"With what?" You ask.

"I want to give her a gift, right?" He starts. "A gift that goes along with me telling her I love her."

He loves her?

Your heart aches but you decide to move past that. "Isn't it a bit early to say I love you?"

"Well, we were long time friends before we started dating and I feel like it's the right time to, y'know?" Oikawa leans forward on the table. "Can you help me find a gift?"

This feels familiar. Helping him find a gift for a girl that isn't you. It seems like anytime he does have a crush he'd come to you for advice. This is the first time that you didn't want to give into his favors.

"No," You sighed.

"No? Wait why not?" He raised his eyebrows at you.

"Because," Say it. "Because I-"

"Because?" Oikawa tilts his head at your response.

"Because I can't keep doing things like this for you," You stood up and began heading for the entrance. Oikawa followed afterwards as he could see the pain in your voice.

"Y/n, talk to me, we haven't talked in forever. Tell me what's wrong," He says as you exit the library. You ignore his voice and reached for your car door. He grabs your arm but you shove him off.

"Would you just- leave me alone?" You snapped. "I don't want to help you, okay?"

"What did I do?" Oikawa was beyond confused at your response.

"I- You- Ugh! Just go away, I don't want to see you!" Your voice cracked as the suppressed feelings began to rise again.

"Why not!" Oikawa grabbed your arm again, this time you weren't able to break free.

"Because I fucking loved you idiot!" You yelled. Hot tears streamed down your cheeks as you stopped struggling in his hold. Oikawa paused and stared at you in wonder.

"You...loved me?" He asked.

"I still fucking love you! God, I hate you- I just- Let go!" You pulled off him. "I'm leaving. If you try to stop me, I'm never speaking to you again." You wiped your tears as you entered your car. Driving off into the neighborhood, crying at the red lights knowing you could've ruined your whole friendship.

Oikawa watched as you sped off. Those words lingered in his ear as he stared down at his hand where you let go. His mind was lost in thought, how could his best friend love him? Was he that blind that he couldn't see your admiration? "She...loves me?" He thought.

The plane had begun its long slow descent, "You look kind of green are you okay?" Your best friend squeezed your hand. 

"It's just...usually Guk does this thing...he sings to me and rubs my neck when we land."

She looked at you and shook her head, "Yeah, I'm not gonna do that."  

You laughed, "I don't think you're taking your maid of honor duties very seriously." 

"Ughh, I can't believe you're getting married before me." She sighed, "It's not fair, Yoongi and I are the ones who introduced you. It should be us." 

You couldn't help the grin that formed on your lips. Sworn to secrecy, she had no idea you'd gone shopping with Yoongi, the ring had been in his pocket for weeks. "It'll be you soon babe, maybe this weekend will inspire him."     

Checking the key card you stopped at 303. Why you couldn't stay in the same room together was beyond you. 

The door was just about to click closed when his running footsteps echoed through the empty hallway. Strong arms wrapped around you and soft lips fell on yours. He did his trademark hum while he kissed you, his happy song for his happy place. 

"I can't believe how much I've missed you."

Pulling him closer you inhaled him in. He was the scent of home that had been lacking for the last four days.

His smile got bigger until his dimples finally showed up, "It's late are you tired?"  He tucked your hair behind your ear, "We've got a pretty big day tomorrow." 

"Can I just enjoy you alone for a few minutes?" 

"Is everything okay?" He sat on the edge of the bed and pulled you onto his lap. 

Nuzzling into his neck you curled into him. "It's so stupid." 

"Tell me," he rubbed circles on your back. 

"I'm happy and I love you so much but I'm terrified and nervous and I haven't been able to talk to you about it because you've been here planning the perfect wedding for me ... and I'm selfish because I just wanted you to hold me and tell me it was all going to be okay."

He sighed in relief, "Of course it's going to be okay," he gently laid a kiss on top of your head. "Don't you know every fairy tale ends with and they lived happily ever after?" 

You couldn't help but smile, Jungkook was such a hopeless romantic. "Why can't we stay in the same room tonight?" 

Changing the mood he tickled you while pulling you back into the bed, "Because it's bad luck, and it would ruin the surprise." 

"We live together, I've seen you naked a million times so unless you've been hiding something really well I don't think I'll be surprised."

Just being back in his arms draped you in a sense of calm. His loud heart beat accompanied by the rise and fall of his steady breath lulled you into a much needed sleep. 

Your eyes crept open and looked at the clock, only 11:43. Laying your head back down you looked at Jungkook snoring peacefully. As much as you longed to keep him here until morning you knew he was superstitious. Leaning in to wake him with a kiss he  smiled and pulled you back against his chest. 

"Hey sleepy head."

He groaned under you as you poked him.

"You'd better get out of my room Jungkook, it's almost midnight."

Sitting up he rubbed his eyes and checked the time, "Shit."

He grabbed your hands in his and walked to the door.

"I guess I'll see you in a few hours?" 

Wrapping your arms around him tightly you really didn't want to let him leave.

"Nothing to be nervous about. You've got a dress right?"

You nodded.

"Then all I need you to do is show up." He kissed your forehead and stepped into the hallway. 

"Jungkook" he turned back, "I'll see you soon." 

You were glad that from the moment your feet hit the floor there was a barrage of things to be done. Mimosa's with a massage, nails, hair, makeup. Jungkook had made sure you wanted for nothing. 

You had no idea what to expect, you'd heard vague phone calls and caught small glimpses when he was planning but he'd really kept you in the dark.

Jungkook loved surprises and to his credit he was tremendously good at them. He wanted you to have a perfect stress free wedding giving you only two tasks,

1. find a dress

2. show up and say I do

The door swung open and your best friend stood grinning from ear to ear. 

"I know I'm your maid of honor but I hate you so much right now," she pouted. "I don't know how anyone will ever top what Jungkook has done for you down there." 

You laughed and it felt good to break the tension. "You specifically mean Yoongi topping it for you? Don't worry he already asked for my help."

Her jaw almost hit the floor. 

"Shit, damnit, I didn't say that! Don't tell him you know, he'll kill me!" 

Dancing around the room she squealed in happiness. "Would you be mad if I asked Jungkook to plan it?" 

"Is it that good? Is he already down there, did you see him?"

She nodded, "Everything is amazing, and he's so happy and he looks so handsome" 

You exhaled deeply, "I guess there's only one thing left to do."

She threw open the door, "Let's go get you married!" 

Sunset in Jeju, there wasn't a more perfect time or place.

Wooden boards lay across the sand leading to the exact spot Jungkook had proposed. There, up the row of candles under the fairy light arch stood the man who would be your husband.

Nothing but him existed beyond that. All you could see was his handsome face and small nervous smile, his hands wringing together to keep from fidgeting and  the reddening of his ears as you got closer. 

Surrendering the bouquet you had to touch him, you needed his hands in yours. Steady and firm, together you grounded each other. 

"Y/N,  People think our story started on a rain soaked camping trip. I don't believe that's true, that's just where it got good. Our story began in the stars,  It's the only possible way to explain how much I already knew I loved you. I promise to fill your life with happiness, love, and blanket forts for as long as you'll let me. Y/N, I love you so much and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

"Jungkook,  Not a day goes by that you don't make me fall in love with you a little more. Not a day that you don't make me laugh or that you make me feel loved, and from here on out there will not be a day that we'll be apart. I can't wait to see what our future holds, and I hope that 50 years from now our grown children will think we're crazy because we're still building forts in our living room.  All that matters in my life is that I get to love you. Jungkook, you'll always be my iron man and I love you 3000." The tears started but he managed a laugh at your private joke.

You swept his tears away with a brush of your thumbs and he kissed you. Husband and wife. 

Everyone was gone. The last goodbye was said and you made your way back to the reception area. 

You stopped to watch him. He was sitting by himself, a smile on his face staring up into the sky. Your husband was so beautiful.

Walking towards him you caught his eye and his face lit up like all the stars in heaven. You held out your hand, "One more dance?" 

He wrapped his arms around you and you swayed together under the night sky. Waves rolled in place of music and the moon shone a personal spotlight down on you.

"Today was perfect Jungkook"

"It's not over," he stopped to lay a sweet kiss on your lips before smiling and taking your hand. 

Walking through the sand he led you to the seaside suite and slid the door open.

"This is the part where I'm supposed to pick you up and carry you inside." 

You couldn't help but laugh, "Are you asking me or warning me?"

"Close your eyes"

"So warning me?"

"Please Y/N."

Sweeping you up he carried you into the room and set you down. 

"Open!"

There in front of you the entire room was draped in white sheets and hanging lights. The bed sat inside the biggest fort you'd ever seen.

In complete awe you turned to look at him, tears in your eyes yet smiling from ear to ear. He knew he did good.

"Jungkook this is amazing!" 

He was so excited to show off.

"And look," he pointed to the tray beside the fireplace. "We've got champagne and all the stuff to make S'mores."

He buzzed around the room pointing out all the little details. 

"Jungkook, you forgot one thing." 

His face fell as he tried to figure out what important thing he'd missed. 

"What did I forget?"

Walking towards him your hands ran down his crisp shirt and undid his belt. 

"The part where you're supposed to make love to your wife for the first time…" 

Waking up to walls of white sunlight while wrapped naked against your husband's warm body you'd never felt more content. His dark hair was wild against the pillow and you couldn't help but stare and wonder how you were chosen to be the luckiest person alive. 

Soft snores let you know he wasn't deep in his sleep and he easily woke when you kissed his swollen lips. 

"Hey," he smiled, "what time is it?" 

Pulling the sheets off it was exactly what you'd hoped to find. Despite the evening's satisfaction his cock stood firm, thick and ambitious. 

"More?" he questioned with a smile.

You nodded while straddling his hips. "Sorry, I guess this is your life now." 

He sat up to wrap his arms tightly around you as you took him in. Bare chests pressed together and the feeling of your hearts beating in unison.

Gorillaz: Humanz

SHere it is, the comeback tour! I was so excited for this album, I sucked all the singles that came out before I could download the album. This album basically reminded me of the reasons I love Gorillaz. All of them. One particular reason a little too well...

Okay, let's get the elephant out of the room. This album is a bit controversial among the community for playing a little too hard to one of Gorillaz' strengths: showcasing cool artists. There are more than a few tracks where Damon doesn't even show up. Hell, my favorite track doesn't even have it on him. Me, I honestly don't care about that as long as I get to hear good music but for the rest of you die hard Gorillaz fans? Just think of this as a compilation album like NOW That's What I Call Alternative/Indie Hip-Hop/R&B/Electronica/Pop.

See? Rolls off the tongue. Now let's get started.

1. Intro: I Switched My Robot Off

Nice. Real ominous. Gorillaz really know how to build up a presentation. Feels like you're walking through the doors of the doors to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Anybody remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? Were there doors on that stage? Anyway, awesome.

2. Ascension

Holy hell, Vince really knocks it out of the park on this one. Different beat, nice flow, social commentary...He was not fucking around on this track. Damon's barely on the track but Vince makes up for it with his existential rhymes and chorus back-up. Man, Gorillaz has gotta take advantage of gospel more often.

3. Strobelite

That didn't take long, did it? Anyway, this is my favorite song on the album. Peven has an incredible voice, the music psychically compels you to dance and...that's it. Sometimes, well usually with me, you just need to go with Simple Yet Awesome. Have a good voice and a good beat. This song has both and I'm pretty sure that one day, a scientist will hear this song and will be inspired by it to cure diabetes.

4. Saturn Barz

Ah, the lead single from the album. Remember the 360 house, everyone? Yeah, you remember. Glad to have Gorillaz welcome back Reggae into their line-up with Popcaan manning the helms. He and Damon tag-team the eardrums with the power of dread as the instrumentation makes you feel like you're in a haunted house. Welcome back, guys.

WELCOME BACK, GUYS! De La Soul returns to say some real shit about time and how you should, respect and stuff. Seriously, awesome track. Kicks so much ass and you can even dance to it as you wonder if this MOMENT will be one of the last times when you feel really happy. Nice...

This song had to grow on me but years after I got the album and after I learned to appreciate Danny Brown a little more like all humans should, this song became one of my favorites off the album. Don't worry Kelela, he doesn't carry the whole song. Her voice is so beautiful that it can calm a charging rhino or a coked-up Connor McGregor. These make the song a lot classier than it had any right being.

She's beauty, she's Grace...she's also Jones. Man, I haven't heard from this woman since Corporate Cannibal and she has clearly been keeping up practice. God, how can a woman's laughter both scare and arouse me? Damon's no slouch on this track either, singing about the monster that keeps us all tethered: the charger. I kid, I kid. Hey, did Damon really get a boner on stage when he sung this or are you guys messing with me? Message me if you know.

Four of Wands is a card of celebration and victory, signaling that you are on the way towards your goal or the right path if not have already reached it. However, there is still work to be put in and places you can go-- your achievements do not stop here, and neither does your journey. With the eight of cups and "i am becoming consciously aware of my inner being" i see that people who group 3 are being called to do introspective work. Some of you may have already done it, and this is what brought you to your path. Once you bring what is inside to light, your path will be illuminated clearly, and you'll know you're going in the right direction. For those of you feeling lost (though it doesn't seem that this group is) introspective work will help you to find your way again. Justice and "my slightest improvement is of such great value" are showing me that some of you who chose group 3 have recently made an adjustment to your lifestyle, your plans, or yourself. This message is here to let you know that this adjustment was for the highest good, and it has placed you right where you need to be. Even small adjustments can have a great impact, and can begin to lead you step by step in the correct direction. The King of Wands card may serve as a confirmation card that this message is for you. If you are a fire sign (aries, leo, sagittarius) or resonate with the qualities of initiative, commanding, energetic, leadership, manifesting, and creative, this is a confirmation for you. If you do not resonate with these things, this card could point towards your ability to weave your reality and forge the path you truly desire. The world bends to your will, and if you're unhappy with where you are, you are more than capable of changing it. The "future" cards lets me know what where you are right now will bring you to an assured future. Direct your intentions and actions, and your future is assured. The path you are on will lead to fulfillment, which is solidified by the "prosperity" card, telling me you will feel secure and abundant both materially and physically where you end up. To know you're on the right path, notice feelings of inspiration-- when you feel creative, inspired, and energetic, this is confirmation you are headed in the right direction. Numbers to look out for are 54, 46, 22, 12, 11, 8, and 4.

Tarot Lessons for Beginners - Part 4

My dear student - I feel like I should apologise for the title! You are a "Beginner" no longer!

By now, you have a grasp on the system that Tarot is built on, you have at least a basic idea of how each card may be interpreted, you can work with your deck in the manner you choose - without clinging to myths and superstitions. You have done some background reading, you (hopefully) have found a deck that suits your style, and you are beginning to use your cards in a spread rather than regard them individually.

I am so proud of you!

Now it is time to learn how we can get more information from the cards that are dealt.

We will do this by looking at a practise-spread, applying what we have learned so far and then looking beyond...

I have chosen a simple 3 card spread, looking at my Past, Present and Future - and you will be surprised how much information can be gleaned from it.

To start our Reading, we look at the story being told in each card and apply it to my particular situation. This will give us insight in to where I am coming from, how my life is progressing right now, and what I can expect from the future. We try to connect each card to the one before, so they form a coherent story rather than little separate puddles of information.

In the Past position we have The Fool. We see a young witch, excited about leaping off a cliff. She is fully trusting that her broomstick will carry her soaring in to the sky, off on an adventure to see the world. She pays no attention to the clouds on the horizon, they are far behind her and she doesn't think they will catch up. Her trusted cat can see the possible dangers here, yet does not leave her side. I like that in this particular card, we get a view of what lies beneath the cliff-edge. We see water (indicating emotion), and a boat. So even if this great leap of faith does not go as planned, there is a safety net there. The young witch will likely bruise her pride, and experience some emotional turmoil, but will land in the sea and be rescued by the sailors... to apply this story to my life, we can say that I used to be a happy-go-lucky individual, not afraid to take some risks and trusting in my abilities and skills to help me take off in life. I had friends, family, people I could trust by my side and I even relied on the kindness of strangers to help me out should I stumble and fall. And fall I did, on several occasions!

In the Present position, we find the 6 of Swords - the mood has changed... gone are the clear bright skies, there is some darkness now but I can still navigate by the light of the moon and stars. It is autumn and the wind is blowing... the fields below are still looking fertile and green, but the trees are shedding their withered leaves as I too must shed that which no longer serves me. I no longer try to go it alone, but have learned it is okay to rely on others and accept their help and guidance. I am leaving, looking back at what is no longer for me, but being pushed along by the brisk autumn breeze. I have bagage now, so carrying a heavier load I do not fly so high... My carefree and trusting younger self lead me in to a relationship that was unsafe. I had to flee, literally, relying on my family back home to support me as I find my feet again.

In the Future position, we see the 9 of Pentacles. We can see the witch, a little older and wiser. She looks relaxed and so does her trusted cat. She can afford to enjoy some rest and take time to expand her mind rather than worry about where the next meal will come from. The tree next to her is bearing it's fruit - she has tended it well and now she can rely on it to feed her, and bring in some money when she sells what she does not need for herself. She is enjoying the wine that was made from her past harvests, but it has grown better, richer, more balanced with age. She has put down her broomstick, it will be there should she choose to move on, but she seems settled, enjoying her life. What this means for me is that my hard work will pay off, I can build a nice, comfortable home and will have enough to get by - more self-sufficient now, I no longer have to rely on others to bail me out.

These are the bare bones of our reading - but what more information can we provide?
As we discussed before, we can turn over our deck and look at the card that lies at the bottom for some more information.

In this case, my Shadow Card was the 5 of Cups: This card shows the witch looking forlorne, filled with sadness and regret at the spilled wine in front of her - paying no attention to the lavishly set table behind her. The sea in front of her signifies how emotional she is feeling. There are trees behind her showing she is well rooted, she has stability and grounding, but right now she doesn't feel any of that... to me, this card warns me that I need to turn around. Stop mourning my past and that which I have lost, get up, dust myself off and look at all the riches my life has to offer that I can be grateful for. It is true that I suffer some melancholly, missing Scotland and the people, places, material things I had to walk away from to put myself out if harms way...


What else can we see?

We see that this reading consists of one Major Arcana card and 2 Minors. This indicates that in our youth, we were ruled by the Fates - we followed the Rites of Passage, being pushed out of the nest and learning to fly for ourselves - we accepted the opportunities Life offered to us and questioned little, going with the flow. Then, as we got older, we were more concerned with the day-to-day ups and downs of our life, we made more conscious choices and took control of our own destiny. A majority of Minor Arcana cards tells us that we hold the key to our future and there are not subject to those big, life changing events that are beyond our control.

Next, we take note of the Elements and Suits represented. The Fool card shows a body of Water, as well as clouds massing in the sky - so we can consider both Water and Air represented here. The 6 of Swords again brings Air, the Suit of Swords representing Thought, Clarity and a Sharp Mind. The 9 of Pentacles brings in the element of Earth, where we can put down Roots, grow fertile Crops, and find Gold to satisfy our Mayerial longing. The Shadow Card teaches us that it is Water, Emotions, that may keep us from enjoying all that we have. Wands are not represented, that is something to be mindful of too! Maybe we are lacking some Fire, some Inspiration?

Now - Lets look at how the characters in the cards are interacting with eachother.

The young Fool has her eyes closed, she is boldly turned towards her future, but is not really thinking ahead. She lives in the Now, the joy and exhilaration of the moment. If we look at the next card, we can see the figure glancing back, is she looking at her younger self with some sadness? Or is she reproachful? Does she mourn for how carefree she used to be? Or does she blame her young, naïve self for leading her here, to this point in her life where she has to leave everything behind except what she can carry in her bag... and even then, she chose to bring sharp swords, the pain of what happened to her. Or is she in fact looking straight at us? Now, here? Are the swords there to defend herself should she need to? Maybe she would do well to look ahead... There her future self is facing her way, but not in distress or anger. She can see where she is coming from, and she knows that her experiences made her who she is now - Maybe she still keeps her travelling-hat and broomstick close, because she has learned to be prepared in case life forces her to move on, but she can be content with her lot. What advice would she have given her younger selves if she could speak to them now? Something to think about...


As you can see, looking at the card interactions gives us more information than if we had just considered each card individually.

But we can see even more! We looked at the story within the cards, and at the people in them. But we haven't yet looked at the numbers!

In basic numerology, each number has it's own meaning attached. Numerology is a broad and complicated subject, and would be a study in itself should you wish to learn more. But knowing a few basics can already provide us with more insight.

So, going by the (brief) insights above, we can choose to consider each card individually:

In the Past, The Fool carries the number 0 - all opportunities are open to us, we have endless possibilities.
In the Present, the number 6 tells us that we are making changes based on our aknowledgement of the facts - we are emerging triumphant because we are not suffering our situation but rather taking the necessary steps to improve our wellbeing. We might feel some pain as we think of our memories, but we know we are heading for better things.
In the Future, the 9 speaks to us of satisfaction, knowing we have come a long way and are almost at the end of our cycle - where we have come to terms with the path our life has taken and can see, looking back, that our struggle was necessary to lead us here, to this point. Now, enjoy! Who knows what the next cycle brings?

We can also choose to give an overall number or value to the spread - we do this by adding up the individual numbers (note that I do not add the Shadow Card, as it was not technically part of the spread but rather an adendum, providing extra insight and information):

0 + 6 + 9 = 15

As the outcome is greater than a number between 0 and 10, we add the numbers again:

1 + 5 = 6

6 is the overall number for this particular reading, telling us that no matter what has happened or what is still to come, we can be proud of our accomplishments and we have triumphed over adversity!


As you can see, a simple 3 card spread has given us a lot to work with! I will recap for you the different ways we have used the cards to get insight in to the situation:

- Read the story depicted in the cards
- Apply it to the individual situation, making connections so the story flows
- Look at the Shadow Card at the bottom of the deck
- Note the amount of Major and Minor Arcana cards
- Look at which suits/elements are represented (and which are lacking)
- Inspect the way the cards interact with eachother
- check basic numerological values


If you do all of this when executing a reading, you will have a wealth of information at your disposal!


I sincerely hope that you have found at least some of my guidance useful, and that you take pride in how far you have come. You are now no longer a Novice, but a real Tarot Reader, ready to practise your craft!


My advice is: Keep practising and studying - there is always more to be learned! Don't be so vain as to think you know it all, but stop second-guessing yourself and thinking you don't know enough...

Overall Energy: It's safe for you to let go & move on, Scorpio, as things may seem to be falling away. I think, for some, these are control issues & insecurities. It's best you move forward with little resistance possible. I get it, Scorpio, you can't handle when certain shit is out of your control, but it's best to be comfortable with the fact that some things you can't control. The sooner that is learned, the better. You may need to say sorry to someone, or vice versa. In the 'vice versa' instance, let go of the need for that apology & just be okay with moving on without it. Releasing emotional baggage is recommended now, do energetic work like yoga, or meditate. In releasing, you call back power to you; power this situation took away from you. Protect your energy & cut any necessary cords. Your energy, & energetic space are sacred, so treat them as such. Check into your body now to see which chakras need a little bit of energetic clean-up, maybe look up some 'soul retrieval' healing methods.

Love: The moon cycle may be significant in regards to your love life. If single, there will be a new opportunity to build with someone & it'll be instant infatuation! If you're inquiring about a preexisting individual, there is a new opportunity to work on things. Things were left unsaid & you may have been manifesting this person back into your life. You may have parted ways to work on yourselves, but there is a renewal (the world kept flipping out as I was shuffling on love & I picked up renewal when I got these cards). In a relationship, I assume things are progressing swimmingly. Some may even be working on a new project with your person, but that could be a stretch.

Career: You are on your King of Pentacles shit, being stable af whether that be financial or your energy toward where you are in the moment, all while trying to balance either your finances or your job options, which you do with great skill.
