Heya Ash!! Oof you're giving me a project lol thank you so much for the ask!!!

1. How big is your mods folder?

That is a really great question. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, but it got to the point where I had to put all my mods on a thumb drive and only move them around as I need them because I'm computer was running so terribly. So I'd say it's a lot 😅.

2. How would you describe your style?

Uh, I would say very graphic novel type vibes. I'm a huge graphic novel buff and the story I'm actually working on I intended to be a graphic novel, but it really got away from me and is much too big for that now (not a brag, just my legitimate crack head antics) so when I got into Sims editing the thought was always to kind of keep the drawn/comicbook-y feel to it.

3. What is your favorite challenge?

Thus far it's been the stereotype challenge ! It was a lot of fun and I got to do it with four of my OCs who ended up fitting the criteria pretty well! I just think it came out really well both as an edit and as my OCs.

4. Do you make CC?

Aahahaahahahhaahahaah!!!!!! No. I tried to make poses one time! One singular time and it ended so poorly that I decided to swear off making anymore off my own CC for the distant future. Maybe I'll try it again, maybe I'm scarred for life, only time can tell!

5. What type of CC do you hoard?

I had answered this one before, but I FUCKING LOVE POSES!!!! And like I said I didn't have the best experience making my own so I prefer to use downloaded ones. But I never really clean out my poses in case I need them for something else! So my pose folder is astronomical at this point.

6. What default eyes and skin do you use?

You know.... This really is a question I should have the answer to but I'm totally drawing a blank right now so I'll go ahead and put a link to the eyes here and the skin here when I can look it up! ✌

7. How many URLs have you had, and what are the meanings behind them?

On this blog I've only had the one? And I feel like it's pretty self explanatory, I love Morgyn because 1.) They're the absolute best 2.) Untamed magic? Yes ma'am! 3.) They're gender fluid / nonbinary like me!! And 4.) They're an absolute snack!!!! So it was a perfect fit for me.

8. Who is your favorite gameplay blog?

Why would you do me like this??????? I can't choose!!! I love them all and I'm friends with all of them because they're absolutely amazing people that I love so much!!! I don't have a favorite! 🥺

9. Favorite story telling blog?

10. Who is your favorite CC creator?

I don't really want to answer this one either 😭 but I think the only person I know that makes CC is the awesome @barbieaiden they made a really kick ass emo glove CC that I absolutely love and you should check out. (Sorry if the rest of you make CC I'm sure I've probably seen it, probably even downloaded and reblogged, but this is all I can think if right now 💜) Also my go to for all pose stuff is the glorious @katverse they do incredible poses for pretty much anything you could think up, highly recommend.

11. How do you edit you photos?

This is certainly going to get a few gasps, but I make all of my edits on my phone!!!!! I use just a basic free photo editor app and kind of bend it to my will to get what I want out of it! I'm really bad at figuring out stuff like Photoshop and I'm not willing to pay the expensive price when I can do it and get just as good as a result as I want from something free easy and portable.

Once again it has to do with an edit I'm working on so here's the last one I put up if you're interested.

13. What do you do when you are unmotivated?

Honestly, this! Editing and the Sims are my escape from the real world. It helps me when I'm having a hard time with my anxiety because it gives me control over something, it helps me a lot with writer's block I can't tell you how my stories have been inspired because of it. But I guess if I'm bored in the game I usually just start a new save or play another game for a bit, I always come back after like a day though! To be fair I haven't been doing this long enough to feel unmotivated yet, maybe we should revisit this when I've been doing this longer than two months 😅

14. Who is your current favorite Sim?

Ugh!!! As you guys have found out about me I don't like to play favorites......... But if I had to say maybe my OC Parker's Sim, he just came out perfectly and is just spot on.

15. Who is your current favorite Sims that isn't yours?

Guidry!!!! He's frickin' hilarious and just so great. I honestly didn't expect them to put as much into him as they did but I'm glad they did!!! He's the best!! He's no Morgyn, but he's pretty great too.

16. Recreate someone else's Sim in your style.

So this sounds like a lot of fun! But I really don't want to change anyone else's Sim, I know how much we all put into them and they're basically like our babies. They mean a lot, so unless I get explicit consent from someone saying I can use their Sim in my style I'm going to pass out of respect this time.

17. Do you talk about the Sims with people in your life?

Yes! One of my really close friends is the whole reason I'm into editing and mods and stuff! She showed me everything I know and is totally awesome for that. (@jennifermakesstuff on Instagram, go check out she's absolutely amazing and a crocheting god, go do it)

18. How many packs do you own?

.......... I don't want to answer this..... It's honestly a problem..... But I have them all.... Minus the star wars one I just I cannot bring myself to get it, it just looks terrible. But yeah I collect the packs and it's a problem 😅 but if you need advice on what pack to get next I'm your person!

19. How many posts do you have on your blog currently?

141 👀 I uh.... I have nothing else to say about that lol

20. How many drafts do you have currently?

Too many. But they're all like ask games and stuff for my OCs so yup!

21. How many posts are currently in your queue?

Only two 🙃 I need to get back to editing so I can hopefully have some more but I'm sick right now so... Maybe it's time for me to start that gameplay I've been threatening.

22. Have you ever moved blogs?

Okay yes, but not intentionally but I've moved three times? I had a blog for when I first started on tumblr it was for music stuff but I forgot to pass code to it so now it's just there, the other one I had was for my art & make up stuff but it wasn't doing good at all so I just turned it into my personal blog, and then from there I moved to this one! Also I'm avoiding my personal one like the plague right now because of a whole disaster that happened with someone I followed and I don't have the balls to unfollow them so I'm just pretending that account doesn't exist 😅.

23. Are you in any Sims related discords?

Yep! This one right here by the very amazing @clumsyghostie I'm really new to discord so it's the only one I've been apart of (EVER) but everyone has been really nice and friendly!!

24. What are your thoughts on the most recent pack? (Paranormal)

I like it! It added more to the gameplay than past packs have, but I always felt it left something to be desired in the way of CAS and build mode. Spoilers starting here if you care: Also it would've been cool if you could have had more interactions with Temperance like you can with Guidry, and if the specters did more that would be cool too. Either way I think it's good, I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking for the game experience, but it is fun.

25. How many hours have you played the Sims?

Let's find out 3,215 hours 😅 that's board line a problem hahaha if my math is right (it probably isn't because I'm gay and bad at math) that's a hundred and thirty three days straight? Jesus I might need help lol.

26. If you play gameplay, do you play with mods?

I used to! But I play on a regular laptop so it can't really run gameplay mods unfortunately so unless I'm doing edits my game is vanilla.

27. What's the furthest you've gotten on a challenge?

So I'm really bad at challenges! My favorite lately has been rags to riches it's a lot of fun but I always get bored after they get married and pregnant :/ I never know what to do after that because like the challenge is over but I'm so invested in these Sims 😅

Okie Okie Sorry About that I got really Excited there, Because my other art and post either got little likes + Reblogs or Noun of them stuff, And This? I didn't really expect to get this much likes and some reblogs on my Mavis x Rosie Art ;;v;;.

Alright *takes a deep breath* Allow me to introduce myself For all time sake, For those of you Who don't Know? Hi My name is River K.C., However you can call me R.K.(Mainly), Rio, Keithlyn, Keith, Kei, R.K.C.M., or any nickname as long as it's not rude. I'm a user who post a lot of My Art for the most part, sometimes shitpost and Personal stuff(Not all, Since I rather not reveal most of them and Will for the most part, keep things a Secret. I'm very protective towards my Life and History, So NEVER EVER! ask me questions such as my age, my real name, or even asking me to do a face reveal -.-, So Please Don't ask me those type of personal questions~). As of Recently I've been getting a Tons of likes, Some Reblogs, on my Recent Art and Honestly I can't Thank you all enough. This Is just Beautiful, Like Really Beautiful, That I didn't expect That I would get This much Likes. Like I said from the started I haven't get too much likes on any post form my other stuff for a very long time. Before I made this account I was once formerly using keixblade, Reason why I didn't uses Account anymore because I felt like I need a new Fresh Start of my blog and Things have been changing over the Years so That's why I decided to make a new blog and you know after making a new blog I've been starting to post again, such as my previous art, older post, welcoming myself, and I started to finally reblog for the first time which I haven't done in my old previous account. After that, I checked out my favorite artist, have plans to follow them soon. I don't usually post at the weeks but I'll definitely try my best to post my stuff at the weekends, You know Saturday, Sunday, But Sometimes Friday, I might be able to sometime post on the week of I had the free time to do so.

Story Time~! Before I made this Account and During Late March 2021, when I started to have some interest in TTTE for the first time, I looked up at some websites to research on the series and watched abit of Episodes about it(Thanks to Steve' Reviews Tugs, Thomas for PS1(Highly Recommend you all check it out if you had the JP PlayStation or an Emulator ;), and a Fan Animation That I won't tell because I'll talk about this in the Future, it's that one Fan Animation that I'll give a review on soon it's a pretty controversial one 😅 Yeah you know Exactly Why I'm Talking about, So DON'T Bash on me for this) So far It's Interesting, For the most part I Mostly got some Thomas info from the Wiki, Reddit, and Tumblr as well. When I did got to Tumblr, I check out some of the TTTE Art Most of them that I came across from my experience are really good :) But out of all the artist in the site? One Actually caught my interest and decided to check their blog out, their art is Beautiful and how amazing their Humanized Version of TTTE style is. And that blog I'm talking about is none other than @asktrio516, I always looked up to them, so much so that this was before when I started to come back to tumblr to started fresh. This blog gave me so much nostalgic feelings for some reason, not because of Thomas But Because of the human Version of these Characters, In Fact? This isn't my First Time That I look up to an artist for their art and for their humanized version form Another Show I'll take about soon(I Even alot of Fanart of this person's Human Version of these Characters, Again will make a separate post about it). So 2 months after Getting into Thomas for real, I saw the asktrio516 blog posting the Official Ships in their blog, Obviously I was very Excited when I saw it and In Fact? I Actually Loved Most of these Pairing that is Featured in this posted(Stay Tuned for the next post ;))). After reading the post, I saw one Pairing that Interested me and it was Mavis × Rosie, I always have this feeling that ngl? I always see them being together and wish they can have some Screen Time Together(Yes I know What's Going on but we don't Talk about that Disaster...yet....😤.....Damnit just God Damn You Mattle). So For A while? I've actually been planning on making an Mavis and Rosie Drawing in Emma's TTTE Human Designs. So it only took a quite for a while to get there, Reason I didn't do this sooner because of work, I had to help with my Friend, and I was very nervous yet shy at doing Mavis and Rosie being together at first. Thankfully with enough confidences and encouragement? In August, I ask the asktrio516 admin on Instagram if I can Asked something on tumblr, Fortunately they respond with yes(Honestly I was so Happy About It 😁) so at the same month, That's where I officially got my new Tumblr Account since I felt like my old Account is a bit dated and This is where I also have the confidence to ask the asktrio516 admin if I can draw Mavis with Rosie being together(Since Again they mentioned of having interested of doing this ship) and That's how the story goes c:.

You know Because of that? I might post some more Thomas the Tank Engine stuff soon and Even at some point? Might make a Full on TTTE Side Account for both Normal and my TTTE AU(Since There's at times that I will posted other things that isn't Thomas related(Also more info of my TTTE AU Coming Soon-) Heck! I might do some more TTTE Ships Later, If there's a high demand for them from Me? I might able to do Murdoch × Arthur, Gordon × BoCo, Proteus × Lady, and Hiro × Henry Next(4 of one of my Favorite Underrated Pairings, there's more I will do but for now I'm putting the ones that people haven't heard of or haven't talked about that much, Yet~ ;;))).

Hell! I might even do my favorite popular Thomas the Tank Engine pairing soon.

A Formal Report To Staff

I’ve emailed the support team three times, each with strong feedback. Each containing MORE PROBLEMS than the last email. I begged them to take me off the beta. In fits of frustration, I’ve demanded to be taken off it too. I was told I’d have to deal with it. I was given responses that were little or no help at all. And I’m not the only one having these issues. These issues have been so severe and frustrating, I have been the least active on the site I have ever been. I have heavily contemplated leaving Tumblr altogether, and have been extremely displeased (to say the least) that these issues have prevented me from enjoying my blog, interacting with my friends/mutuals, and more.

This beta was forced onto users without warning, without user’s consent, with no insight as to what would change, how it would change, why it would change, what was new, or any other changes/additions the beta would give. This lack of communication is unprofessional, inexcusable, and irresponsible. And the fact that they don’t give you an option to turn it off or opt out is, quite frankly, bullshit. Implementing a "beta” that feels half-assed and has this many issues in the first place without any kind of communication is irresponsible.

Their only semi-decent answer to this problem has been XKit. Which is not compatible/available with all browsers!! And really, it should be a big sign they SHOULDN’T CHANGE/ADD SOMETHING if their answer to it is “oh, just use XKit to undo it/turn it off.” JUST DON’T DO IT! You shouldn’t be relying on an extension/add-on to make your users happy! And if the users who don’t want these changes/additions are somehow the minority in all this, I certainly don’t see a single peep of any kind anywhere from the users that want/are supportive of these things! I’ve seen nothing but problems with this beta being reported, and frustration/hatred of it being expressed. And 0 action taken by the staff to fix any of it. If it’s still being worked on, it never should have been released to users in the first place. They should not be forced to put up with the bugs that this beta still has. The staff should not be randomly selecting users (not every user has had the beta forced upon them) to be beta testers. This is also irresponsible of them.

The staff’s communication to users about updates is AWFUL. The way they implement new things or change existing things without any mention of it or warning of when these things officially implement is AWFUL. 99% of the time they add or change something, nobody wants it or asked for it, and/or it’s a tiny change that didn’t need any attention whatsoever to begin with! They seriously need to start remembering the saying, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!“ The staff should be holding polls or ASKING users their opinions on something before they do it, not just throwing it in and forcing them to deal with it! And if they don’t want to wait for feedback on an idea before they do it, then they should ALWAYS make an option to turn off/opt out of whatever it is!

Tumblr’s most BASIC FUNCTIONS: posting, reblogging, editing posts, a user’s personal settings, HAVE BROKEN. They will not open or load, and if they do, the user has to wait several seconds before it FINALLY opens. When it doesn’t open, this happens:

This can/will appear 2-5+ TIMES (aka, the user will have to try and click “Aa Text/etc,” the reblog button, or the edit button 2-5+ TIMES, and on top of that, the window takes several seconds to load each time before you even know if it’s going to actually open or not!!) before Tumblr lets you open the posting window, the reblog window, or the editing window. It might even be happening with other functions on Tumblr that I just haven’t personally experienced yet.

Tumblr’s most BASIC FUNCTIONS should NEVER be malfunctioning, no matter what. A half-implemented beta/update, some random issue, NOTHING. NOTHING should make these functions unable to be used or any sort of hassle to use! This shouldn’t be happening, and shouldn’t be allowed to happen! It honestly makes the staff look incompetent when these simple things aren’t developed to a point where they don’t break. At the very least, they should not break as often as they do. And speaking of basic functions breaking, don’t even get me started on how often tags break and malfunction. That’s been an issue forever, and a highly reported and complained about one at that. And yet here the staff are, once again changing the whole appearance of Tumblr instead of working on more pressing issues; thus once again making its userbase feel unheard or ignored.

And as if those basic functions breaking aren’t enough, there’s YET ANOTHER ONE that (at least for me) keeps breaking! THE DASHBOARD ITSELF.

Anywhere between 2 seconds and a few minutes, if I scroll any longer than that, this happens to my dash, and nothing will load. And if I try to scroll back up for it to load, the things that HAD loaded are no longer loaded OR the dash just straight up disappears and all I see is the dash’s blue background. At that point I can’t even refresh my dashboard to fix it or click anything whatsoever. I have to close Tumblr and reopen it in a new tab. And most of the time, I can’t even do that, because this BREAKS MY ENTIRE BROWSER.

MY ENTIRE BROWSER WILL STOP RESPONDING 1-3+ TIMES BEFORE I CAN DO ANYTHING AT ALL. Sometimes it will crash COMPLETELY. Not only that, but when Tumblr lags my entire browser and makes it stop responding, then EVERY OTHER APPLICATION ON MY LAPTOP will lag out or stop responding as well! My laptop is admittedly old, but even in its old age, it DIDN’T DO THIS BEFORE THE BETA WAS FORCED UPON ME. The beta is literally screwing with my WHOLE laptop because its issues start with the site, extend to my browser, then spread to anything else I have running at the time! While some of that is most likely my laptop’s age showing, again, it never did this before the beta started to mess with everything.

Being on Tumblr just... isn’t worth this much frustration. This needs to change. It needs to be taken off user’s accounts until it’s completed or (preferably to me) not implemented at all.

On top of all of these issues, I personally have been suffering another huge problem with this beta. My add-on Tumblr Savior will not work. I use Tumblr Savior to blacklist URLs of blogs I don’t want to interact with (and have blocked, but Tumblr’s blocking system is awful and doesn’t keep blocked blog’s posts off your dash or anything. Blocking a blog should COMPLETELY wipe the existence of a blog you block out of your sight EVERYWHERE. But that’s a whole other issue I won’t even get into... Again, a highly reported and complained about issue that the staff haven’t done anything about). I also use it to blacklist tags I don’t want to see, or a tag that people I follow use for their followers to blacklist a specific type of content. I use it to blacklist words and phrases so posts containing them don’t appear. I use them to blacklist triggers and things that make me uncomfortable. I know many users who also use this add-on to properly blacklist URLs, tags, words, phrases, and more to keep it off their dashboards. Many use this to blacklist triggers and sensitive material that Tumblr’s filtering systems do not properly take care of. This add-on not functioning with this beta could be harmfully affecting users. I personally cannot enjoy being on Tumblr without Tumblr Savior functioning to properly filter all that I need filtered.

This is every URL, tag, word, phrase, or otherwise that I have to blacklist to comfortably be active on Tumblr. NONE of those things are being properly blacklisted by Tumblr’s filtering system (especially blacklisting URLs to properly block a blog since Tumblr doesn’t) and are appearing on my dash and bothering me. Not only that, but Tumblr Savior ALSO does the following for me:

Since Tumblr Savior isn’t functioning, my radar, sponsored, suggested blogs, etc are all crowding my dash and also bothering me. Those checks mean they should be hidden. They are not hidden. I’ve had to unfollow some tags that I was following because they’d keep suggesting random annoying posts to me.

I even restored defaults and reloaded all of my saved blacklists and settings. It didn’t work. I’m assuming its obviously not up to the staff to make Tumblr Savior work because it’s not theirs. But on the other hand, it was working fine until they forced the beta on me. The beta is what’s making it not work. The beta, between all the issues I’ve mentioned before, and making me unable to use Tumblr Savior to enjoy being on the site comfortably, is making it basically impossible for me to be on the site at all. I’ve mentioned all of this information in the three emails I sent and none of it was effectively acknowledged, let alone fixed.

And lastly:

I just... I really REALLY hate this. I hate it on mobile (but I tolerate it), and I REEEALLY hate it on desktop (I REALLY want it gone!!). Desktop and mobile don’t need to be similar!! Desktop is desktop and mobile is mobile, stop changing them to be the same constantly!! AT LEAST give users an option to turn this stupid number’s visibility off! I get tons of notifications from all my blogs, I get a TON (99+) on my main blog alone! I don’t want this here!! I don’t need to be notified I have notifications, I know! I don’t need to be pressured and pestered to look at them every frickin time I get one!! This is one of those changes that didn’t need to be added!

Instead of breaking everything on the site, and focusing on the appearance of Tumblr, here are just SOME of the suggestions/requests that TONS of users have mentioned in the past, all of which (to my knowledge) have been ignored or unseen by staff:

The ability to change what blog is your main blog.

FIXING THE TAGS, so posts ACTUALLY appear in them and none of the other issues happen.

When all posts containing a certain tag are deleted, the tag stops appearing in your tag history.

Fix the problem where posts with links in them don't show up in tags.

PROPER BLOCKING. If I block a blog, I don’t want to see it ANYWHERE. I don’t want to see it in tags I look at, I don’t want to see it reblogged onto my dash by people I follow. I want it completely GONE so I don’t have to blacklist URLs.

THE F*CKING BOT PROBLEMS!!!

Add the different text fonts and colors available on mobile also available on desktop

When a blog is reported, DONT JUST GIVE THE OPTION TO BLOCK. They're being reported FOR A REASON.

When a blog is hidden from Google search results, you can no longer search for tags/posts on that blog's search bar. FIX THAT.

There's been a glitch lately where if you click a notification about a post to see said post, it says the post no longer exists/has been deleted when it hasn't.

Make it so when you block a blog on your main blog, it blocks that blog on all your sideblogs too.

When the OP is deleted, delete all reblogs of the post.

After I finished this post, TAG CRAWLER STOPPED WORKING. FIX THAT! Unbelievable.

There's plenty more ACTUALLY helpful things that could be changed or added, but these are the ones I see talked about the most. Anyone who reblogs this, please don't add more because it's not the point of this post, thanks.

How did you come into the Trapped fandom?

Hahaha I was watching Right or Wrong and happened to tell my best friend about it and I didn’t know that she was following the series? And she explained the whole concept to me and was like “DID YOU KNOW THERE’S AN UPCOMING ONE IT LOOKS LIKE A COP X GANGSTER ONE” or something like that, and “FOLLOW THIS ACCOUNT THAT’S DOING UDPATES ON IT” (@florbexter it turned out to be) and yeah the moment the 6 minute trailer was out in like Feb? Mar? I was hooked. Then I did my very first translating thingy on Tumblr with the Trapped character profiles and never looked back XD

Who’s your favourite character?

Hmm that’s a tough one but it’s gotta be Shao Fei for sure? I mean Tang Yi comes really close but gosh I love everything about him — how dumb he is, FiFi, his jawline, the way he huffs and puffs when he gets angry and annoyed, the way he rolls his eyes, the way he dozes off while shopping with Hong Ye, the way he’s so competent at work even if he’s the one creating the most trouble. I LOVE EVERYTHING.

What do you like about writing for Trapped?

I think it’s definitely that I can imagine the characters better? It’s my first real fandom ever! My favourite one too, and it’s honestly the first show I’ve watched literally from start to end including all the interviews, variety shows, BTS, and then actually seeing the boys in real life — I think writing all the summaries every week helped too, because it’s frickin hard for me to write them in character I think? Even now I wonder if I’m doing it right, but I’ve definitely got a better grasp on the characters in Trapped than anywhere else so it makes writing flow a little smoother. Besides, so many characters with so much potential, like Dao Yi, Hong Ye and ah, my fave two boys Jin Tang and Andy.

Care to elaborate on your writing process?

Okay so far… definitely I come up with prompts first? I’ve got a list of… ooh 16 prompts in my list right now, and then I try to go through them when I feel like it? I have to say that a lovely anon I call headcanon anon has been integral in kickstarting my fic writing because I think the very first fic I published last Sept/Oct was a prompt from them!! I digress, but in any case, yeah there’s no… exact process really? But definitely need to have prompts. And then I pray that I'm struck with some burst of motivation to finish writing a one shot in a day.

y’know i think the whole reason that I hated using wordpress (who has now ironically bought this hellsite) in that first year of the comms & media course i began at uni.... was because it’s another social media platform, like twitter etc, where you had to make yourself open to the mortifying ordeal of being known.... and that it‘s also perceived as the “professional blogging website” bc it has competent coding etc.... and you’re also kinda forced to find your niche to pump out content to write.... so that you might get noticed by their “explore” feature/filter.

you also have to sound “professional” when you write on wordpress. wordpress makes it seem like you’re meant to be devoid of your personality for the sake churning out content and subscribers (or at least that’s what it felt like to me tbh).... and possibly eventually sell your services or have advertisers apply for ad space on your blog so that you get paid. and maybe you also sell merch through your blog/website. you have to have a professional sounding URL to sound adult and business-like. you have to have a pro profile pic of yourself or your blogs brand name or whatever the fuck as your display pic or header. it’s really built for you to make your blog a business or for a business to have a blog. it’s not built, in my view, for someone like me, to “authentically”, if you will let me permit to say, express who they are.

whereas on here, i’ve been anonymously posting under the same URL that i started with in my late teens/late high school. people think im just a simple mysterious roaring pikachu (until i post a selfie lmao); that likes mid2000s emo/pop punk etc bands and any random new tv show/movie/media and political posts that come up on her dash.... so that her blog isn’t focussed at all.

in terms of content here on tumblr, i can reblog any random old jackshit posts in a row and still get reblogs/follows; and it’s the same with my own original posts. im in my own little corner of the internet and it’s nice. im allowed to be myself. have my meltdowns and swear like a fucking sailor, like i’ve always done lmao. no professional jargon bullshit here. no language sanitisation to make it sound professional.

i don’t have to sell my hobby. i don’t have advertisers asking for ad space (or however it works lol) bc absolutely fucking no one has cracked the tumblr advertising code yet (except for those frickin scummy scam survey websites, lol. which i’d never join. or those ugly clothing websites as well). like, okay, yeah, obviously in the past i’ve wanted to get paid for wasting my time here on this hellsite; and have actually wanted to employ someone else to maintain my blog, by cleaning out my old blog posts and liked posts lmao..... but i’ll never do that bc it’s my fucking blog and it’s my baby that i’ve had since 2011 lmao. then it’s not authentic.

i can yeet out my internet personality here which i’ve built for almost 10 years (or at the point mentioned at the beginning of this post, it was 4 years) lmao. why the fuck should i/do i have to do that again on wordpress??? the effort and time is too much. i don’t have to have a brand name or even have a display pic on my dash that’s me. i could be hermione granger. spongebob. pikachu lmao. who the fuck cares??? it’s tumblr. like fuck, i don’t even fucking know what my branding would actually be for this fucking blog lmao 😂😂😂 let alone my WP one.

but the anonymity on tumblr is so freeing when every other social media platform forces you to have a profile that’s painfully open & public, even when you have good privacy controls on. like some of the things that i still haven’t done on facebook, for example, are adding a cover photo. and filling out the stupid “about me facts” or whatever the fuck section. as well as filling out my location/where i live. so, that everyone i know, can know everything about me. and those things? in this age of data hoarding and exploitation/selling for ad services??? fuck no. they already have enough of my data as it is. they don’t need any fucking more than what they already bloody well have.

anyway. just. i’ll never move to wordpress. and if wordpress ever starts to charge for the use of tumblr or takes away the feature of anonymity by telling people to make some type of professional sounding URLs and wanting professional display pics..... i will fucking leave this blue vortex hellsite, stat..... and will miss the former anonymity that tumblr had.

as an addendum:

i just realised that the only other kind of social media site that i used, that had the same level of anonymity as tumblr (if you don’t count neopets as one lmao), was stumbleupon.... which let you build a profile of all the random pages that it suggested to you on a certain topic that you picked.... and it eventually let you talk to people through your account and add people, and added profile suggestions for people who had similar interests to you. it’s such a shame that stumbleupon shut down about 2 years ago or something now. that was such a wonderful site, even though i never talked to people on it 😂😓.

usually im not the type of person to air out laundry but my uncle is in and out of the hospital my bfs family is a bunch of assholes and im gonna go wrap presents which costs half of our grocery money for that said undeserving assholes.

ill most likely rewamp my blog next year if not make an entirely new one.

my new rules will be harsher than the ones i have now because i love my hobby, writing with my friends is fun but ill most likely have a timestamp because as my number of threads get lower i loose passion. i get pissed off if my muse gets let on, and i only honestly treasure @insoucicnce and @despairforme no shade but thats what im here for.

i kind of am miffed about so many muses i have not even being requested and even if i did get starter request they literally sit there unanswered for MONTHS. and i stopped a long ago reminding anyone to reply, i aint your momma to remind you to brush your teeth and reply to my frickin starter and anyway if you dont feel the same passion to write as i did why bother even hitting me up for it? i never understand others wasting peoples time and still manage to feel offended about it.

those who belong to the mentioned category ill outright block no unfollow softblock youll follow me from another account. no. you can fuck right off. sorry but not sorry. im just sick and tired of being nice and pleasing others when i only get back the same amount of enthusiasm from my friends which im thankful for and love them whole bunch but thats about where my patience love and support ends.

the reason to rewamping my blog is really because my original first muse lost all its flare. the blog name doesnt even have anything to do with the content anymore since Ren is not present 98% of the time,

im not one to bitch moan about being hung out to dry ruin everyones holiday but i myself have had enough. its not a one person deal where i do go to a person if i have problem with them this is a slowly built up problem that just makes me want to be more secluded more private and honestly tumblr with its fucked up bots did 30% add to my annoyance. it made me develop a really unhealthy repetitive checking obsessive habit that i dont want to do. im not bitching about the number of threads i have, im bitching about the number of times tumblr gives me “new notification” that turns out to be a pornblog bot following , commenting , or liking something on my blog.

i also did state in my rules that ill NOT follow you if you have repetitive offense on not cutting your posts and if i see frickin 1 liner everywhere. its fun to unhinge with them every once in a while but if your blog CONSISTS of 1 liners you can show yourself out. im a quality over quantity person and as seen on my threads im not about the icons and no context. im about the context and sure graphics are nice but they dont make the plot. they dont make the character they dont make the relationship.

I hope you all have a good time during the holidays (im online as per usual) , and lets not give shit each other next year. i wish for 2020 to be a year of not fucking over other people on the internet and not blocking someone when they check you on your toxic ass jealous behavior. also lets not count numbers next year just enjoy ourselves.

Hey I just need to get something off my chest and idk why I’m dumping this all on u but u seem like the nicest person on tumblr that I know but if ur uncomfortable or anything pls feel free to look over this. Lately I’ve been trying to stay away from bts and the fandom bc I feel like it’s toxic for me. It’s not like where I listen to them and follow them and obsess on a religious level but I feel like I’m more occupied w them than I should be. 1/?

After all they’re all just humans who get tired and lonely and miserable and aren’t perfect, yet we idolize them and depend on them for our happiness. Of course we should support them, but it’s to the point where it’s frickin ridiculous, like nothing exists without bts, u know what I mean? 2/?

And I’m at the point of life where t depends on me to make my own decisions and make choices that will shape my future, and I really don’t want to look back and regret wasting time watching videos and thinking about things that will essentially have no impact on my life. What I like about bts is that they seem to have a deeper motive behind just simple Kpop, but I think I’ve taken that too far to an extent where it’s become my excuse. 3/?

Bts are seven people who have worked hard to deserve recognition and truly deserve it, but they’re also seven men who have separate lives from me that I have nothing to do with. They’re people that I’ve never even met and I don’t know tbh, we only see the filtered and edited sides of them. It just feels wrong to look at the packaged versions of them and expect them to live up to my expectations or fantasies. 4/?

There’s also the aspect that they’re kpop idols, as in regardless of how different and unique they may be, they’re still going to follow the formula and act like idols who are polished and made as perfect as possible. The whole industry is based on us going crazy over their looks and dance and singing and whatever, and it’s so messed up to me that we r supposed to like them for something so superficial and in genuine. 5/?

Idk if I’m making a lot of sense rn. I just don’t think it’s right of me to force them into a mold that I’ve created in my mind and then get disappointed when they don’t comply, and expect them to be something different when this whole time, even I’ve been idolizing them based on their appearance and talents. 6/?

And then there’s the fandom, filled with a variety of people from all different backgrounds, races, ages, genders, etc. and while it’s cool to have something in common with someone, I’m just tired of having army be the only thing that defines me. I don’t know how to phrase this … the diversity and tolerance is amazing, but at the same time, I’d like more genuine friendships than fangirling over someone’s biceps and thighs u know. Lately I’ve been kind of falling out of listening to bts and stuff, but I find myself continuously going on social media so I can keep up with them in habit, more than being interested. I deleted Twitter and unfollowed all bts accounts on insta and tumblr, but without it I feel like I’m missing something 8/?

It’s just a cycle of me trying to discipline myself, not being able to do it, and getting sick of myself for being so pathetic. Even with fanfic, ur writing for example is literally better than like an average author, but I feel so stupid to fantasize about someone without even knowing them first. hi, honey bee, it’s totally okay to talk to me about anything you want and also, you’re incredibly sweet for thinking that i’m the nicest person on here, thank you :’) but i really understand how you feel towards the whole fandom and bts.

yes, bts are just humans who get tired and lonely and miserable and aren’t perfect, but rather than idolizing them, it’s perfectly okay to like them for who they are as people and for the music they produce. it’s okay to appreciate someone for the work they do, like how we enjoy artwork and appreciate the artist for creating them or how we like the flowers planted in the park and appreciate the gardener for planting them.

i wouldn’t say that my happiness depends completely on them, but they do make up a little part of it because their music makes me happy. and music is supposed to make you feel things. their funny videos can make you happy, and that’s okay, too. i see stanning bts as a hobby i enjoy at times, not as my only source of happiness, because there’s so much more that makes me happy, like flowers, food, art, etc. however, depending on one thing for happiness is unhealthy, so i do agree that an obsession with bts is bad. there’s nothing wrong with supporting them, but yes, having a mindset that only bts exists is unhealthy. i just found this post that better explains how stanning a group is good and bad through the psychological point of view, and it’s pretty interesting! :D

i don’t think you’re wasting time watching videos of them. if they made you happy at the time, if they made you laugh when you were sad, then it was worth it. unless you’re choosing to watch videos 24/7 and neglecting your family, friends, academics, job, health, etc. then i don’t think it’s necessarily bad that you’re watching videos. it’s like watching your favorite tv shows or playing sports. it’s just another hobby. it has an impact on your life because it makes you happier.

i do understand your concern though as you move into a new chapter of your life. personally, i’m not as into them as i once was back in high school anymore. i did spend a good deal of time writing and posting a fic about them once a week. it really changed when i went to college though since my priorities and time commitments changed. i think you might be more occupied with them when there isn’t something else to fill that aspect in your life if that makes sense? i wasn’t particularly academically simulated in high school, so i had a lot of time on my hands even after spending time with friends and doing clubs. i got into kpop because that’s something easily accessible and it’s entertaining. but with the freedom that comes with college and harder classes, my time is filled more with going out with friends, studying, painting, spending time with my roommates, etc. and bts got less of my time.

yes, bts are people with separate lives who you may never meet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate and like them for what they do. and, they might not show everything about themselves to the public, but we can learn from the good examples they do show, such as their UNICEF work and lyrics that talk about more than just romantic love. i personally think that most of what they show is genuine, but there is a line to be drawn between enjoying the work they do and believing they are gods. but yes, i do get that their personas to the public can be fake, which is a bit /: because yeah, there are people who are in love with them and dedicate their lives to them, but we really don’t know who bts actually are.

i think, rather than idolizing them, it’s better to see them as humans and as people just like us. that tends to take away any fantasies or expectations i have of them. yes, they are kpop idols, and that’s their job. they’re just working to make a living doing what they love. yes, the industry is built upon the fans, but it’s like that with any music artist or celebrity. i think it’s okay to like bts, but not to the point where your love for them surpasses the love you have for people who are actually in your life.

and you’re making sense, don’t worry! i hope my answer makes sense, too. i think every fan goes through where you’re at right now. i had felt that way about bts and exo before, but i moved on from that and now see them as people whom i appreciate. it was just a process for me, but i think it has to do with me filling my time with other things and spending time with people i thought were more important, and my love for kpop is now just something that brightens my day a bit if i ever need it.

some fans can be very… enthusiastic, but that might just be because they don’t have anyone else to talk to about bts. but yes, i get what you’re talking about. sometimes, it’s exhausting to just talk about one thing all the time and be seen as just a bts fan, and not as your own person. but even myself, i think it’s exciting to find someone else that listens to kpop since for me, there aren’t that many people around me who do. but after the initial excitement, i’ve made many friends through our mutual love for bts. as friendships grow, we talk about other interests we have and other things we like, so we don’t always talk about kpop. many of my friendships started from a mutual interest, whether it be bts or art or a mutual dislike for a teacher or class subject haha, but it grows from there as we talk about other things and get to know each other.

it’s fun to have someone to talk about comebacks and mv’s with, but yeah, i get that there’s more to talk about. maybe you can try introducing a new topic? or going out with friends who don’t listen to bts? and hey, we can be friends if you want :D you can talk to me about your day, your favorite foods, your favorite tv shows, any pets if you have them, anything else you want! i haven’t listened to bts for a while now either, i only follow their official account on instagram, and i don’t check my tumblr for days, even months during the school year. i don’t think you have to cut them out entirely to the point where you feel like something is missing. but if you are no longer interested in them, do you have any hobbies you can use to fill up that missing feeling? maybe baking or cooking? drawing? going out with friends?

and you are not pathetic!!! you don’t have to cut off something entirely at once. it takes time, but you’ll get there. and omg alsjdhflaksdhfd thank you for saying that about my writing :’) and there’s nothing wrong with reading fanfiction! please don’t feel bad for reading it. fanfictions are just like any other stories out there, except you already have a face and a name for some characters. i personally don’t read them for the idols featured; i read them because the writing is so much better and there are so many more interesting concepts involved in fics than in books i can get from the library.

ARTISTS BEWARE

Avoid collaborations with dubious monetized YouTube channel GeekyComTV

I’ve held my tongue about this channel for almost a month and I can’t frickin’ do it anymore. This is a call out post.

[WHY?] To make a long story short, this user has been posting videos for over a year now, using miraculous art. Although in some cases he has asked permission to repost, he began monetizing [making money off of] his videos at some point without notifying any of the artists.

None of the artists agreed to monetization.

@maristoryart is only one of many artists that reported him upon finding the monetization, but for some reason, Geeky has focused on her as the reason his channel is being reported [for a second time at least, since this isn’t the first account he has lost]...

GeekyComTV’s creator has resorted to blackmail, to defamation, to actual threats, and finally to identity theft, in an attempt to bully mari and others into complying with his wishes.

It’s gross and it is NOT okay. [short version of this post]

[WHY? part 2: the long version] And now the entire thing. Strap in and get ready to get real damn mad. And apologies in advance for the lack of a read more, but I need to avoid censorship of this post. So yes, this post is VERY LONG, but this needs to be seen.

For ease of reading, I will do a bullet list+screenshot setup.

July 9th, GeekyComTV’s channel is linked amidst 4 others by a discord user on a small ml server.

Geeky’s is shown to be directly monetizing most of the videos.

Maristoryart is the only one active at the time whose art is on there, so she reports the videos using her content.

[censoring names for protection from this creep]

A few days later [the 13th], the owner of the channel begins to message Mari via her social media and email

He reminds her she gave him permission to post the artwork on his channel and asks why she reported him; he reveals her reports put two strikes on his account

He says he will remove the videos if she retracts her claims

^^^ to explain: He has 2 strikes on his account. He counterclaims them, which means he is disputing the strikes and youtube cancels the deletion of the videos. If he deletes the videos now, the strikes remain on his account. If Mari retracts her claims, his account is in the clear.

Mari asks for advice from the chat and we unanimously tell her not to retract her claims, since he monetized without notifying her OR ANY OF THE 100+ ARTISTS HE IS STEALING FROM

During this conversation, another user who dealt with him previously points out Geeky’s previous channel was shut down for the same reason, so we learn he is a repeat offender

Mari ultimately decides to tell Geeky she will not retract her claim due to the monetization of hers and others art without their permission

At the same time, I share Geeky’s channel with the main public ml art server and begin to contact artists on tumblr

[in which a user lets us know geeky tried to find out who ‘told on him’ lol. spoilers: it only matters cos he wanted to send threats and blackmail to the person lol]

[lol yea that 2 years of hard work putting songs on top of ppl’s art and making money off it, boo hoo lol]

[^^^ talking about his previous channel, which is deleted now. jan 11 is when the posts about his new [current main] channel started to appear for a while.]

Immediately after Mari sends her explanation, Geeky tries to claim he only monetized a month ago

Another user calls bs; she had tried to contact him several months prior about removing videos with her art because she didn’t allow monetization

Geeky offers to pay Mari the money he made off her work, if she will remove the strikes

Geeky begins to message Mari incessantly, repeating that he will pay her

He tries to claim it wasn’t he who ‘decided to monetize the videos’ ... [note: heartbeat indicates nearly all his videos are monetized by him DIRECTLY, save for one or two, which are monetized by WMG for music used]

Meanwhile, I have gotten in touch with one of the artists on tumblr and explain the situation to them

This artist chooses to contact Geeky personally

When this artist asks Geeky to remove the video with their content, he claims he can’t remove any videos until Mari removes her strikes from his account [note: this isn’t how youtube works lol. this is also part of the blackmail aspect]

During this convo, Geeky has caught on that artists in this community actually talk to each other and he begins to set his videos to private so that no one else can claim their artwork

Thankfully I still have the window with all the videos still loaded, so I begin to send individual urls to the artists i recognize from the thumbnails, so they can remove their work from his channel

The third and final strike on Geeky’s account comes from @ferisae, who sometimes allows dubs, but does not allow monetization

Despite being private, Feri still had the URL, so she was able to report her video

Geeky emails Feri, saying she made a mistake, she doesn’t want to do this etc

Feri clearly tells him she never gave approval for her work to be monetized, and he repeatedly messages her and tries to tell her he wasn’t monetizing, that she is making a big mistake, etc

Feri lets him know she has an app that lets her see when a video is monetized and by who, says she won’t talk about it anymore, and blocks him

Geeky begins to message all the people who contacted him to remove their art, asking them if they know Feri and Mari, could they message them about the issue, etc etc

He begins to message Mari multiple times per day, interrupting her daily life

[she ignores the messages]

He also makes a new email account and begins to message Feri again, begging her to resolve this

Finally, when no one responds, he resorts to threats [on the 14th and 15th]

Mari asks for advice on how to respond, and one of the users in the chat helps her craft an email to send him.

We advise her to do what Feri did, to simply block him, but he responds again before she has a chance to and threatens her again

Mari is understandably stressed out and logs off for a while

After seeing this, I am raging, so I start looking into this guy, hoping I can find his family and show them the emails he has been sending to Mari, so maybe they will straighten his ass out :P

I don’t have luck finding his family [aside from a possible sibling], though I do find out where he lives and works

I kick it up to a friend of mine [@seibatooth] who digs up a lot more info on him, including work history

We learn is a college student from Morocco, who hasn’t held a stable job for more than 6 months

It is sent to Feri, Mari, and a Third Artist who did not want to be named in this post

It claims he is seeking legal action against all three artists and lists an email, a website, and a linkedin url

A quick search shows this lawyer to be a real person, but that the contact info in the email is incorrect

So here, we learn here that Geeky is impersonating Real Lawyer [which is where we get identity theft]

Seiba calls Real Lawyer to appraise him of the situation

Seiba and Feri then respond to Geeky [on the fake lawyer email] to let him know that Real Lawyer will be contacting him soon

When I check on Friday, his account is still up, but monetization appears to be disabled ... YAAAAAAAAAAS

Also, the Third Artist who did not want to be named offered some screenshots from an exchange they had with Geeky:

In each post, he publicly announces that Mari is the reason he is losing his account, that she doesn’t love the miraculous fandom anymore [????] and that he is just a poor wee bab victim who did no wrong guys really ;0;/

Literally in the past 24 hours, heck, in the last HOUR, he is still screwing artists over and taunting everyone about it. Today, I found out that Geeky has counter-claimed Mari, Feri and the Third Artist

This means his account is still active, despite the previously pending deletion

He has turned on monetization again, so he is again making money off everyone’s artwork

He is publicly taunting everyone about what he has done

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting a OneShot kind of deal thing on tumblr. I just love writing and I honestly daydream about Cullen more than I should since he’s fictional. “It’s so fucking cold, it’s miserable, and I’m so done with this place.” Belle scoffs, blowing heat between her hands.

“You’re the one that wanted to leave, m’lady’quisitor.” Sera laughs.

“I know, I just, I wanted to clear my head.” Belle sighs. Belle tries to clear the images of the man she swoons over. She tries to clear the images of his godly build, that smile, those eyes, everything. She wants it gone.

“Ya, ya. I get it. You miss pretty boy don’t ya?” She says, a smile creeping on her lips.

“Sera... that’s ridiculous.” She lowers her head, pulling a strand of hair behind her ear.

“I hate that nobility pish you have to put up wit. Cantcha just not follow rules?” Sera asks, annoyed.

“It doesn’t matter, even if I wanted to. The commander and I, we come from two different worlds.” Belle huffs, looking out over the wall that cascades over the snowy mountains underneath them. The sun was slowly making its way into the sky after a long, hard, night of negotiations in Redcliffe.

“Isabelle.” Sera protests.

“Sera, enough. He... he doesn’t think of me that way, anyway.” Belle turns around and crosses her arms against her chest. “It’s just a simple infatuation.” She thinks back to the day in the war room where she was blatantly watching the commander as he spoke about whatever she wasn’t paying attention to. She knew she wanted him, she was just so scared. The way he gripped the firm pommel grip, the way his finger wrapped around it. The way he stood, so strong.

“Infatuation my ass! You know damn well those rich tits don’t give a rats ass about you! Your parents sent you to the frickin’ chantry for fucks sake. Now that you’re miss save the world from damnation, everyone and their mother wants you to marry their half-wit sons. It’s your life, innit?” Sera says, more annoyed than before. “Cullen feels the same way as you. Everyone in skyhold sees it.”

“It might be my life but it will never be MY life, Sera. Let’s go home. I’m sick of this shitty weather.” Belle sighs, pulling her hood full of fur over her long, brunette locks. She pulls the letters from her bag, examining them sadly, then stuffing them back deep down.

“Did we miss something?” Cassandra asks, her and Solas trying to read Belle’s stoic face under her hood.

“Nah, Miss tits over here ain’t in the mood.” Sera says.

The party hops onto their mounts after a good job done and over with, heading back to skyhold to finally be warm and get fed. It’s been two weeks since they’ve been home. They were away not only because Belle wanted to clear her thoughts of the commander but because the mages requested her presence. It was never easy dealing with their constant demands and bitching about the templars.

The group returned to a warm welcoming at the gates, they were met by Josie, Dorian, Vivienne, Varric, and the rest of the residents in Skyhold. Everyone always wanted to see Belle, she was the Herald of Andraste! She was everything anyone wanted to be. She was the embodiment of grace, of kindness, and beauty. She was a sight to be seen and a flame never to be dimmed.

Even though Belle wanted to clear her mind of the man she admired, she was disappointed to see that he was not at the gate waiting for her like usual.

“It’s good to have you back home, my lady.” Josephine smiles, greeting Belle as she walks through the doors of the war room.

“Yes, did your negotiating go well, Inquisitor?” Leliana asks, her hands behind her back.

“Mhm.” Belle replies, tiredly.

“Go get some rest, Isabelle.” Josie says, putting her papers down onto the table.

“I guess the commander has decided our meeting wasn’t good enough to attend?” Belle retorts.

“Well, you see, the commander is actually dealing with some paperwork in his room.” Josie replied.

“Oh, yes, Cullen has been receiving marriage proposals from woman all over Thedas. From what I understand he’s turned down four very nice young ladies this week.” Leliana giggles

Belles fingers grip the edge of the table, breaking a piece of wood off. The loud snap echoed through the room as if it was a pin dropping in a silent room. Belle was shocked to see what she had just done, looking at her hands, she throws the small piece of wood across the room.

“I’m sorry, I’m still getting used to this dragon blood shit. Bull has been trying to help me but I’m still not used to the new strength.” Belle sighs.

Belle takes her leave and heads for her favorite spot on the battlements. She practically runs out of the war room. She is angry, fuming actually. What was she feeling in her chest? Disappointment? Sadness? Rage? It was so empty in her lungs, the crisp air of Skyhold greeted her as she whizzed past anyone who walked by her outside. The guards greeted her at every spot they were stationed, it only annoyed her more. “It’s fucking Isabelle!” She yelled inside her head, trying to shake the divine title from her head. She wasn’t anything special, she just happened to get magic, she just happened to fall through the fade, it was all circumstance. Not some divine bullshit.

Belle was so consumed by her thoughts and her anger, she didn’t care who she walked by or who she bumped into. The tears were blurring her vision, the rage blurring her thoughts, her heart was aching at the thought of Cullen getting married. She loves him, from the moment she laid eyes on him fighting demons at the very first rift she closed, he was her salvation. All because of her noble birth, she could lose him, lose the life she wishes for so terribly. It can all be taken away.

Belle started to run, she was almost there, that broken piece of stone over the stables. That was her spot. That’s where she went to scream, to cry, to be by herself because that’s all she can count on. Herself. Life has taught her that many times.

But before she could reach her little piece of peace, a hand gripped her elbow and pulled her off her path. It was like she was being coathangered off of a mount, it took her breath away for a moment. Tears flying out of her eyes into the thin, cold air. Her long hair, flying in front of her face as she is pulled back into someone.

“I’ve been calling you, Inquisitor!” The deep, sweet, honey-like voice echoed through her head.

She stopped dead in her tracks, hearing the ONE voice she was afraid to her coming back home. All she wanted to do was get her thoughts in order but no, mr.handsome hair HAD to come after her.

“Good evening, commander.” Belle replied, keeping her head down and her hair covering the mess smeared across her face.

“I’ve been writing to you while you were away, why didn’t you respond? I was getting anxious.” He said, worry in his beautiful voice. Belles heart cracked even more knowing she caused him any kind of anxiety.

“I, uh, I’m sorry. I might’ve just forgot I had them, we were so busy. You know?” She says, tapping her foot, squirming under Cullen’s gaze. She could feel his eyes on her and it made her heart race and her face heat up like a campfire. “But I gotta go.”

“Wait!” He says, pulling her back again, this time by her hand. “Maker! You’re freezing, Isabelle. Why aren’t you wearing anything for this kind of weather?! Wasn’t it ten times colder in Redcliffe?” He disapproves.

“Commander, with all do respect, you’re not my father. I will dress myself how I wish.” She huffs. “I really have to go now.”

Cullen grabs her by the shoulders enough to stand her still, he wipes her hair from her face and sees what she had been trying to hide the entire time. His chest tightened at the sight of such a strong woman reduced to tears from some unethical reason. Cullen had never seen her cry, ever.

“Isabelle... what happened?” His voice lowers with concern written across his face.

“It’s nothing.” She sighs, looking away from him.

Cullen had just finished writing more replies to the many who were writing him, his hands were bare and untouched by his leather gloves. He missed the inquisitor while she was away. They had always enjoyed each other’s company until now, it worried him.

“Isabelle, come with me to my room and we can talk like we always do? Okay?” He says, trying to smile in reassurance to her. Cullen knew she liked hot black tea, he thought back to the many times they stayed up late drinking it.

Belles heart was beating so fast she could feel it behind her face. The commanders hands were calloused but they felt like heaven resting on her frozen cheeks. She was melting under his skin, oh she wanted him to touch her more but it was only going to happen in her dreams.

She nodded following him into his office/bedroom. He opened the door for her, allowing her to sit in the chair adjacent from his desk as he sat in front of her.

The atmosphere was thick, awakward, and was like watching paint dry. Belle felt stuck and so did Cullen.

“Now talk to me.” He says, staring deep into her.

Belle was fiddling with the pieces of skin on the sides of her fingertips, a nervous habit she always had since childhood.

“How have your many proposals been treating you, Commander?” Belle asks, treading hazardous waters.

“What does that have to do wi- oh.” He says, his face reddening, his breath catching in his throat. “Please tell me I didn’t cause your discomfort so much that it made you cry?”

“Well, no, I-“

Cullen shifted in his seat, running his fingers through his curly tufts of hair, letting out a deep sigh.

“You haven’t been writing to me, you ignored me on the battlements until I chased you down, and you looked like you wanted to kill something. You haven’t even addressed me by name, like we agreed weeks ago. This is my fault.” He says, interrupting her. “I’m sorry.”

“No, comm-Cullen, I’m sorry. I have been imagining stupid things in my head like any young maiden would... just stupid girl stuff. Not your fault.” Belle defends. She felt stupid now that he felt this way.

Cullen rose from his desk, making his way to Belle as he galantly strode across the room. Belle immediately stood up, making her way to the door trying to leave before he could reach her.

Cullen took her by her upper arm and turned her into his chest. He looked down at her, into her tear stained, bloodshot eyes. His beautiful amber eyes pierced through her, it felt like he was looking into her soul. She always felt that with him and nobody else, he was special, he was who she wanted.

He backed her into the now closed and locked door, placing an arm over her head. She was shorter than him, like actually shorter. Belle was at least five foot two and Cullen was a literal beast towering over her.

He lowered his head, his nose brushing hers. A hand snaking up her hip onto her side, pulling her close. “This is my fault.”

“H-how?” Belle stammers, shocked by his actions.

“You didn’t come home when you said you were, you were only supposed to be gone for a week and you were gone for two weeks and three days. I was worried sick, you know.” He smiles, his voice lowering once again.

At this point Belle thought her body was going to spontaneously combust.

“Cullen, I’m sor-“

“Don’t be sorry, I know. Did you think that the way I’ve been with you, I’d be the same with anyone else? I know how you feel, love.” He replies, cutting her off again.

What?

“Wait, what?” Belle asks, surprised.

“Oh, sweet maker. You know I’m not good with words, Isabelle...” he says, frustrated with a smile.

In one swift movement Belle’s lips were captured in one sweet, long awaited, moment by the commander. His strong hands were gently wrapped around her face, his fingertips in between her hair, pulling her into him as close as he could get her. Belle’s hands found their way at his sides, the cold plates shocked her fingertips. Their lips danced playfully together. Both Belle and Cullen had waited too long for this moment, the fire between them only just starting to fully become one flame.

“How long have you waited to do this?” Belle asks, in between breaths.

“Longer than I should admit, my love.” He smiles, rushing back into their heated passion.

On 7/24 I was at a Dairy Queen drive thru the person behind me hit the truck I was driving. I was looking at her in the rear view mirror the entire time. She had a cigarette hanging from her mouth that was unlit and she eventually backed up after hitting me. I got out of the truck and looked and I did not see any damage. She then said I didn't move you hit me I then told her No I did not hit you I am in front of you and this truck was never in reverse. Since there was no damage to the truck I did not bother getting any of her information since it was not my fault. On 7/27 I got a call from the police saying she told them I hit her. I gave them my side of the story and they said she had a witness who was a passenger in her car and they will be in touch. I also let them know I had a witness as well. The cop called me back yesterday and wanted to get my insurance information so her and I could exchange information. My question is do I have to give my insurance information to this cop? I did not hit this woman and I think she is trying to get one over on the insurance company. The cop said yesterday I'm surprised the truck does not have any damage because her car does have damage. This truck was a rental truck which was inspected at the time it was dropped back off at the rental company obviously there was no damage to it. This woman looked like she was on something to begin with and I'm guessing she was not paying attention probably looking for a lighter and let off the break and hit me. Which I still don't see how her car would be so damaged. I don't want this con artist having my information. So should I tell the cop I am not giving him my insurance information and tell her to take it to court? Should I get a lawyer? Media Diet: Jolie Kerr

How do people deal with the torrent of information pouring down on us all? What sources can't they live without? We regularly reach out to prominent figures in media, entertainment, politics, the arts, and the literary world to hear their answers. This is drawn from a conversation with Jolie Kerr, the Ask a Clean Person columnist, and author of My Boyfriend Barfed in My Handbag . . . and Other Things You Can't Ask Martha, which comes out this week.

So I'm going to tell you there are two that I love, love, love love. I love Family Circle. Feel free to use this, because I don't hide this at all. Maybe like eight or so years ago, I was in pretty intensive therapy for severe depression. Saved my life, blah blah blah, but the best part of therapy — other than having my life saved — was they always had copies of Family Circle in the waiting room. And my therapist was a chronically late person, so I always got there early so I'd have all this extra time to read issue after issue of Family Circle. I've always been like this. I'm not normal. So Family Circle is like, whatever you think of Family Circle is right. It's a grandma magazine. (This is not the comic strip.) Its competitors would be Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal, Redbook, all that. What I call Grey Hair Ladies Magazines. Or, possibly better would be like Mom Khakis Magazines. (I don't wear Mom Khakis.) Of those titles — I read all of them, I love them — Family Circle is definitely a long time favorite. Redbook, on the other hand — Kathy Griffin talks about this in one of her stand up specials, that she was asked to do an interview with Redbook and she was like, "uh, Redbook, do you know I am? I don't think you want that," but then she went and read Redbook, and she was like, "Woah! This is not my Grandmother's Redbook!" — so Redbook has pivoted a little bit, and it's still for that core audience of like, I would say, I don't know how they define it, that 35-60 or whatever, the middle-aged generation. But they're much more modern about that generation. Like, they have sex articles, you know what I mean? I know! I KNOW! Redbook! It's frickin' great. The other ones, I think, are still staid. They're trying to kind of evolve, of course they have to, but they're a little bit more staid. But yeah, Redbook. Good for Redbook.

I open email and then Twitter and then Facebook, in that order. Email because I always want to check, file and organize anything that comes in after my 9 pm curfew. So if it's Ask a Clean Person questions, I read them. I file them. I have a file for all my Clean Person questions. I read every question, I do. And then, you know, dash off emails to friends. One of my best friends lives in Australia, so a lot of time when I wake up in the morning he has sent me links and cute videos, blah blah blah. So then I open Twitter and immediately have a panic attack, and then I open Facebook because it makes me less panicky.

I hide people on Facebook all the time. I realized that if I have negative thoughts about someone, I hide them. Because that's not nice, it's not nice to have negative thoughts about people. I just kind of scan Facebook and then by the time I'm done that I'm ready to face Twitter. I'm really compulsive, like, I have to go all the way back through my timeline until I hit the very last tweet I read before my 9 pm curfew. I am constantly re-evaluating what and who I'm following. So right now I follow about 150 accounts. I keep it really low. It's a mental health thing. I get very easily overwhelmed. A lot of this cleaning stuff comes from the fact that I'm very easily overwhelmed, so keeping things clean and in order helps me to control that. You know how you can go into someone's account and turn off so you don't see when they're retweeting things? Like, contstanly doing that. That's like a daily activity for me. Just beacuse it's like, oh god, there's so much to read, what did I miss. It's the fear of missing out. Of course I rationally know. It's just feels like so much, which it never really is.

If I didn't go through Twitter the way I do, I would have missed this New York Times story, "Do Curlers Make Good Housekeepers?" It was posted last night, at some point after 9 pm Eastern.

My commute is, I get out of bed and sit at my kitchen table so usually during my commute I'm not consuming any media. I don't have a cable connection — we have a TV with an Apple TV connection, and that's it. I don't watch any live TV or anything like that. All of my news is online. Everything is online. I think the only thing I still read in print is Vanity Fair. It's just like, an old habit of mine, to read Vanity Fair in print. I had a subscription to Texas Monthly. That was the last magazine subscription I had, which was great. I loved it in print because of all the little weird ads in the back. They were so great, and Texas, and weird, and like, blah blah blah. I still read paper books, though. I haven't switched to kindle or anything like that. That's my one weird hold out.

You know, maybe two thirds of my day is working. Either that's writing, following up on press requests, dealing with stuff with my publisher, that kind of stuff. The other part of my day is, you know, so my cleaning, cooking, going to the grocery store. On some days, generally it's Wednesdays and Fridays, are my laundry days, so those days in the afternoon I pack up the laptop, pack up the laundry. I go down to my laundromat, get the laundry started and sit at my corner bar and work from my corner bar. That's a typical day.

I have a 9 PM curfew for any interactive or social media. At 9 PM, off goes email, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr — I don't really use Tumblr any more, but I used to use Tumblr — anything that I can have any interaction with people. I'll catch up on anything that I snooped during the day that I didn't have time to read. Katie Baker's stuff on Grantland is a good example of stuff that, when I see it come up on Twitter, I say, "save that for tonight to read in bed." If I get through all that stuff really fast, or don't have any stuff to catch up on, I go to the Longform tabs page and cruise through the tags and like, "oh, tonight I'd like to read about organzied crime. Let me see what they have." They never have enough about organized crime! I'm always like, "come on!" I'm an organzied crime junkie.

I'm obsessed with Deadspin. I love sports gossip! There's so much frickin'.... sports culture is hilarious to me. I was this way in college too. I really like men's magazines. I don't read a lot of women's titles beyond those "old lady" titles, which, a lot of that I do because of what I do for work. But in terms of general interest stuff, I read a lot of Esquire, GQ, Details, Deadspin. I'm a frat boy at heart.

I was totally sorority girl. I was the hair-bow-wearing pledge mom of Kappa Alpha Beta. I went to Barnard College, of Columbia University. Let's detour for a minute and talk about my parents sending my to New York when I was 18. Me, of all people. People are always like, "you're so clean. How do you know how to do all this stuff?" Um, pleeease, I was a party girl. I'm older now, and all that stuff. But I was a paaarty giiirl. For sure. A lot of knowing how to clean this stuff came out of like, living through making the messes. Or if I didn't make them myself I was at parties where someone had to clean the barf off the floor and guess who was doing that? Pledge mooom! Pledge mom Jolie. That's where a lot of the empathy for the column comes from. I was always the person who cleaned up someone else's barf that needs cleaning up. Like, people barf! It's OK! Barf happens. I barf! I don't like barfing. I'm a bad barfer. But, you know, yeah!

Used bike shorts comes to mind. It was an early column. Personally, as Jolie, the idea of used bike shorts is horrifying but when I sit and think about it for two seconds I feel badly that I’ve even said that because I understand that those things are expensive and I understand that someone might need to buy those second hand, you know what I mean? And then it's like, "you're being a bitch. Don't be a bitch." I wouldn't want someone to be bitchy to me! I told them how to clean them. I zipped my lip. I think I opened it with a note, like, "let's just put aside whether you should or should not buy these. They were already purchased. What are we gonna do? We're gonna clean them." [Setting aside personal hangups] is the most important part of my job.

You can get cleaning advice a ton of other places. I'm not the first person to dispense cleaning adivce. The difference is two things. One, is the Q&A format. You're reading the stories behind how the messes were made. A number of people aren't doing that! And that's the fun of it. That's why people wanna read the column, it's funny. But the other thing is that people know when they come to me that they're not gonna get judged. They're not gonna be kicked around for a choice they've made — good, bad, ugly, whatever. I'm just here to help.

The other thing is, people are always like, "oh, I'm so scared to have you in my home." And like, I don't care if you don't make your bed every day! It's not my bed. I don't live in your home. It doesn't matter to me. It doesn't matter to me if you don't do your dishes. But it you want to know how to do your dishes, I'm here to help. If you want to know why I think you should make your bed every day, I'm here to tell you. But I'm not here to jam anything down anyone’s throat, for crying out loud.

I am not a doctor. I don't want to cross the line into encouraging people to write to me thinking I can offer psychological help or anything. So I never run those type of questions but I always write back personally to those people. I offer to help, and acknowledge that they've written to me, and ask if they're seeking out professional help. I feel that there's some responsibility on my end if someone comes to me. I've had people who are cutters write to me. So what they're writing to me about, is they're asking about blood stains, and I'll say, "ok, here is a researched body of work about blood stains that I'm sending to you for help, but also you have now told me you're engaging in behaviour and I wanna make sure that you are seeking help, have help, if not, can I give you some resources? Can I encourage you to seek help?" And again, oftentimes, I'll share and say, "I don't think I should run this question." And I'll tell them that, "This is a problem I've had and you're talking to someone who understands, so please seek help if you can. Things can be better. Things can get better." Things are better for me.

The things I read most often other than the big magazines is, like. I love a regional interest title, so like Garden and Gun, or Texas Monthly. I love Texas Monthly, it's so good. Sunset Magazine, which is like a western magazine. Yankee Magazine, which is a New England-based magazine. And Down East, which is Maine-specific, and I love Maine. Maine is such a weird state, and everyone from Maine is just a little bit off but in the best way possible. So of course there are a million stories.
