as someone who became interested in Stellar Blade when its 2022 trailer dropped (where its name was changed from Project Eve) watching the lead up to the game become hijacked by the incel squad claiming it was gonna be the downfall of modern gaming because it brought back sexy female protagonists, to the subsequent "censorship" (it is not censorship) debacle that saw most of the same squad turning on the game, and the entire conversation surrounding the game in general, has been maybe the funniest, most bewildering thing to witness.
on one hand you have the incel gooners trying to use the game as a political mouthpiece to push a certain agenda, usually being misogynistic or bigoted in other ways in the process. also mixed in are misguided critiques of certain double standards (example, regarding bg3 and how it handles sexual content vs stellar blade and its fanservice) and just overall a lack of actual care for the game outside of using it as a bludgeoning tool in their dumb culture war.
on the other hand you have people who only know this game through the conversation the incel gooners have started and think the game is some hentai coomer simulator with no other substance. I believe this group is mostly well intentioned, but at the same time are allowing the incel gooners to be the authority on the game and aren't doing any actual research of their own. I have seen so many people gobsmacked that stellar blade has actual polished gameplay and that the sexy costumes/boob jiggle aren't at all representative of the game as a whole. there's definitely some good faith critiques of the character design mixed in here, but also please stop allowing the gooners to shape your perception of the game and letting them dominate the conversation.
and finally you have people like me who have ACTUALLY PLAYED the game (in my case I'm 22 hours in so I haven't finished it yet) and know what the game is actually about. it's a highly polished single player action game, with no microtransactions, on console (which is a HUGE deal in the Korean market, which is dominated by mobile games) and it's overall just a really fun experience. the sexy stuff you can take or leave, there's a bunch of costumes that cover her up if you don't like the skimpiness, but aside from the blatant fanservice with Eve, it's just about the most sexless game I've played in a while. seriously, there's not even romantic hints, aside from a female shopkeeper hitting on Eve.
anyways, it's just interesting (and borderline incomprehensible) what the conversation surrounding this game has become lol

PUPPY IFRIT!??!?! PLS SAY MORE 🗡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@atmosghoul @arkeusruin
I turned my phone off for 10 minutes and now I’m being threatened
Good thing that’s the best way to get content out of me
Anyways puppy ifrit and yall know DAMN WELL I’m making his owner zephyr
Zephyr getting him a pretty collar that they don’t even use a leash with, expects him to be recall trained like a smart pup. May tug him around by the ring in front but oh ifrits a good boy he doesn’t need to be manhandled like a bad dog.
Makes him sit pretty and cockwarm zephyr for as long as they deem fit, petting his hair and calling him a good boy even if he whines and squirms, poor dog can’t help it, he’s trying his best!
And when ifrits bad and lets his instincts get the better of him, humping zephyrs leg and talking too much of them in his mouth when he knows he’s no allowed I think zephyr uses a slip lead on him
Takes his collar off because he doesn’t deserve it right now, replaces it with a cheap woven rope with a loop at the end to create a leash and happily tugs it over his head so if he moves it’ll tighten!
Makes ifrit fuck them, but everytime he moves past zephyrs strict limits it chokes him out and tightens even more around his throat till he gets back to where zephyr wants him. Head down and submissive like a good boy.

What I Think Each Member of the Bad Batch’s Favorite Taylor Swift Album(s) Would Be (Plus Bonus Phee and Bonus Fives)
Hunter- Taylor Swift
Wrecker- Tie between 1989 and Fearless
Tech- Red for “All Too Well” alone (he’s very into lyrics and their meanings; also enjoys Folklore and Evermore)
Crosshair- Reputation (he’s also a really big fan of Red and Lover, but Reputation has a special place in his heart; he’s a huge Swiftie though so he likes all of them)
Omega- Speak Now (Reputation is a very close second because Crosshair likes it so much)
Echo- Folklore (followed very closely by Midnights and TTPD)
Phee- Tie between Red and Evermore
Fives- Midnights

Marcille has a really nice expensive gaming laptop but she constantly hand waves away any praise for it, saying it barely compares to her rig at home. Elvish strategy games usually allow the player to leave the game open and running for decades so most elvish gaming set ups are huge clunky hardware in ugly towers that weigh 5 tons so gamers can lead battles, siege states, and grow an empire in real time always. With a small 32-bit monitor. Graphics don't matter much to Elvish gaming which is why Marcille is immediately so drawn towards human gaming for its visual heavy styling

i have a very very specific idea of what fight club if it were women would be like and here's a few things just about the narrator and Tyler
narrator
-tells herself its a win that she gets to wear slacks and a blouse and only slight heels
-looks/is extremely dead inside
-wears makeup to cover up dark circles and damage from fight club, like every other woman who cant risk getting fired (key component of female fight club is the fact that unlike men, women are absolutely punished for visual deviance)
-is immensely jealous of Tyler's jobs letting her get away with not wearing makeup
-wants to die buried in Tyler's pussy
-tall
-pretends to like men
-talks about living with Tyler. lets people assume
-shaves armpits. stops upon living at paper st
-low voice. not confident, scratchy/crackly
-limp shoulder length/low cut bob
-deep unending rage
Tyler
-somehow was her nickname from childhood
-wears a beat up oxblood leather jacket
-pretty much just wears men's clothing because it's more durable cheaper and also dyke hot
-wears jeans. in the summer it's jorts
-wears steel toe boots
-carries a multitool
-wears hawaiian shirts
-hair exactly like m.tyler. ends up with a mullet a lot because she forgets to cut it. occasionally trims the hair out of her eyes. when it gets long enough to be something like a bob she gives herself a buzz cut.
-low voice. sexy crooner
-pretends to be a man for work. more accurately does not disabuse peoples notions. gets away with it and takes wholehearted advantage
-puts period goop in the fancy steak sauce. slimes all the silverware
-constantly on the edge of converting fight club to a lesbian bathhouse. believes in the equalizing white towel
-walks around paper street house shirtless. sometimes just in boxers. the narrator feels a lot of ways about this
-does not shave at all
-does indeed burn bras. burns the narrators bras
-philosophy different to m.tyler but that's a separate post. still an idealist violent fuck

Is Sam Submissive or Dominant? An Analysis. (wincest edition)
so let's talk about a couple of things: canon portrayal of sam hooking up, and during what season it's happening.
early on when we see sam hooking up with someone, he appears to be more aggressive in the way he touches and kisses. he looks hungry for it, maybe even a little forceful or overly eager. he uses his strength and his size to his advantage and effectively seizes control, so i can see how portraying or seeing him as dominant is evident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now in relation to wincest, i think sam could lean either way here in terms of top or bottom, though i still think he's got that 'i want to call the shots' attitude so maybe he initiates or leads. he's not afraid to ask for what he wants.
seasons 1-4, we're getting sam dealing with the loss of jess, and on top of his trauma response being guilt, it's also anger as a mirror to john and how he handled losing mary. he got dragged back into the hunter life, but he had spent 4 years away from the oppressive thumb of his father (and brother at times) and he wants to hold onto what independence he had discovered in his time away. he wants to prove that he can make good decisions on his own, that's he's strong, and that he's inherently good despite being corrupted demon blood when he was a child. he still wants to make the calls, he still wants control and autonomy, and i think that translates into the bedroom as well.
fast forward to season 6, and we got soulless sam. obviously without a moral compass, he's quick to satisfy carnal desires regardless of circumstance in a take what he wants kind of fashion, so i see the dominant aspect at play here. side note but relatable tangent; considering we've seen plenty of people lose their soul a la amara's insatiable appetite, i'd like to say it's pretty impressive he went an entire year without going off the proverbial deep end. people knew something was off about sam, but he was smart and calculated enough to play off empathy and concern for a good chunk of the year.
season 7 is where we start to see the switch. at first when he gets back and he doesn't remember hell, he feels redemption at first. he atoned for his sins and got satan back in solitary, and he got to come back to his brother. but then the memories come back from his time without a soul, and we get guilt guilt guilt in heavy hitting waves. just when he thought he finally did something right, the narrative screws him. just when he thought he had finally washed his hands clean, they're drenched in blood yet again. then he remembers hell and we've got a full blown case of battered woman (person) syndrome. he's jumpy, he makes himself smaller, he loses the ability to defend himself, sex is now associated with violence (i mean really, the poor guy seems to be sexualized in most torture scenarios), and now he's gotta save face and keep up the illusion that he's managing alright on his own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
once he opens up to dean regarding the visions of satan and dean can see just how badly he's handling it (especially with the lack of sleep), i think he'd try to offer as much comfort as he could afford. sam needs that comfort. he needs softness. and dean is the only one who knows what hell is truly like, he's the only one who understands, and i think submission to dean is imminent. dean deserves his submission, he deserves his apology for trying to do things on his own, because look at how much worse he made things thinking he could do it without dean. we see this carry on into later seasons as well. after the whole amelia debacle, everyone else is really off the table. he can't afford to let dean down again, can't do anything that would drive him off to anyone else, and we see this carry on especially towards the end of season 8 with his confessions before completing the trials. 'i'm sorry for everything i did, i'd rather die than you let you down again.' -> i'll do anything to make it up to you, please tell me what to do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i also think it's interesting to look into how dean deals with his trauma. it's almost flipped compared to sam's, because when he got back from hell, it took some pushing on sam's part to get him to open up and we see vulnerability, we see tears and remorse for the things he did, but everything else after that evolved into deep rage. he became more controlling of sam, kept secrets, told him we're doing this my way because i said so, end of discussion, and sam has no choice in the matter. he treads carefully for some time until it comes down to dean's survival, then he starts making bad decisions again (i.e. roping charlie into getting the mark off of dean's arm which effectively gets her killed and then releasing the darkness in the process) because existence without dean doesn't make sense.
another thought, as the seasons go on, we don't see sam nearly as interested in sex (though he wasn't very much at any point by comparison to dean), and who would blame him?
anyway, point of the long drawing on of thoughts and reflections~ top or bottom, i don't think it matters. i think sam is completely capable of being both dominant and submissive in relation to his mental/emotional state of mind and what kind of trauma he's processing along with how dean is treating him.
but in regards to drabbles/roleplays/fics/what have you, hey man whatever floats your boat.
-> i wanted to reblog and comment on this post but i didn't want to hijack op's post.

Hiya I just recently found you and i gotta say I love your work
Idk if you do requests/fic suggestions, (feel free to ignore me if you do)
But to continue on from Rattle, Liv, and Astarion haven't really talked since that night
They go to confront Cazador, astarion is forced into the ritual and the fight begins.
After he is freed and Cazador is defeated he goes to carve the symbols on his back when he notices Liv lying on the floor not moving, gravely injured in the fight against Cazador
He would drop everything and rush to her side
Nonny, thank you for the delicious angst fodder. You really are a real one. Apologies for the delay on this. I'm a high school teacher and this week was the end of term, and it was a mess of students begging for better grades and long hours of grading. I enjoyed exploring this alternative to what might have happened in Haunted House, and I like to think that with this scenario there's a bit of internal horror because he doesn't rush to her side immediately. You know, because power. Anyway, I hope I did your prompt justice, thank you for sending it my way <3
Magic and Blood
Astarion x Liv, 1.6k, angst and spoilers for BG3 Act III.
________________________________________________________
With one last thrust of his dagger, Cazador dissolves into mist, and Astarion is triumphant. Shadowheart’s orb of daylight still hovers above the platform, casting grotesque shadows around fallen ghouls and werewolves and bats. But he is so close to victory, to power. The air is thick with it, a heady mix of magic and blood and promise.
There is but one last step, one last thing he must do in order to snatch this ritual away, to best Cazador. He wastes no time going to Cazador’s sarcophagus and pushing it open, revealing Cazador’s resting form.
“No, no. No healing sleep for you. Wake up!” He rips Cazador from his sleep, throwing him to the ground. The relative ease of the movement is intoxicating. He is the powerful one now.
“Get your hands off me, worm,” Cazador spats.
“I’m not the one in the dirt,” Astarion sneers, picking up Cazador’s dagger. “One last thrust and I’ll be free of you. I’ll never have to fear you again. But if I finish the ritual you started, I’ll never have to fear anyone, ever.” He is so close, so, so close to freedom, true freedom. He will take the power meant for Cazador and he will make it his own. He will be the most powerful vampire to ever live.
There are seven thousand souls on the line, but he doesn’t have to consider them, he didn’t gather them, did he? That was all Cazador’s doing. And they must die, they are wretched miserable things, begging for death anyway. Why shouldn’t he use them? With this sort of power he could help save the city, be a real hero. He could protect Liv from their enemies, from her family. He and his companions would be more than successful against the elder brain, they would be triumphant.
Cazador grins. “You think me a fool? That I would allow anyone to usurp me, speak the words, and ascend in my place? Mmm? The runes I carved into your flesh bind you and all seven thousand souls to the ritual. Complete it and those bearing the scars will be sacrificed - you included. You are simply a means to an end. I made you to be consumed!”
“I am so much more than what you made me!” Astarion says leaning over Cazador before turning to his companions, to Liv. “I can do this, but I need your help.” Only, Liv isn’t there. Behind him, Shadowheart kneels beside Gale, hands glowing with healing magic. Lae’zel is limping to them, clutching her side. But where is Liv?
At the beginning of the battle, she had freed him. Dispelling the magic that held him bound. It had been chaotic, spells and arrows and claws, but she had appeared out of mist-like magic and immediately began unraveling Cazador’s spell, saving him like she had so many times before. Once free, he hadn’t hesitated to wade into the fray, and she had been right behind him, casting spells and throwing up shields. She’s probably fine; she’s always fine. She’s always been good at getting herself to a safe vantage point and casting her spells. She’s always been so good at protecting herself and others. She’s fine, and he’ll find her after he has taken care of Cazador, after he has ascended.
He just needs to link his tadpole with one of their companions, see the runes on his back and carve them into Cazador’s. It’s so simple, it’s so close, it’s so easy. Lae’zel is injured, but he’s sure she’ll help him. He just needs to ask. The words are on the tip of his tongue, and he’s already shoved Cazador further to the ground when he sees Liv’s unmoving form.
It’s no wonder he missed her before. She’s half covered by what remains of a werewolf. She’s covered in blood, but from this distance he’s unsure how much of it is hers. He can’t tell if she’s breathing, if a simple health potion will be enough to rouse her or if she’s going to need Shadowheart’s divine magic. He knows that it’s a ticking clock either way, revivify is only an option for a few moments. The longer it takes for someone to help, the higher the chance they lose her. Gods, he can’t lose her.
“Liv needs help!” he calls out, but one glance behind him tells him that his companions aren’t in much better shape. Shadowheart is still working on Gale, who somehow looks to be in even worse shape than Liv, and Lae’zel sways in place, using her greatsword to balance.
Gods. He can do this. He can do this. She’ll be fine. He can ascend and then go get her, and it will be fine! Cazador is right here, sprawled on the ground at his mercy. He has waited for a moment like this for two hundred years. Two centuries of using his body, at following every fucking command that Cazador gleefully made, and suffering either way. The end of this is so close, perhaps if he can ascend, become more than this, more powerful than Cazador even, all that suffering will mean something. He wants it to have meant something.
Lae’zel is moving towards Liv, but not quickly enough. It becomes more and more apparent that he must be the one to go or risk it….risk her. There are some prices even he’s not willing to pay. An ascended vampire will have may powers, but the power to bring Liv back isn’t one of them.
“Damn it all! Lae’zel get over here! Kill him if he so much as moves the wrong direction,” Astarion yells. He waits just long enough for Lae’zel to limp over, holding her sword out to Cazador’s chest.
She seems steadier for the order, and that’s the only reason he feels like he can turn his back on Cazador in this moment.
“It is done,” she growls.
And then he’s running across the bloodstained platform to Liv’s side. Now that he’s here, no longer looming over Cazador, he can see just how bad her injuries are. She’s covered in blood, and there are deep, jagged cuts across her abdomen and arms. She’s lost a lot of blood. He lifts the werewolf off of her, careful not to jostle her as he does.
“No, you can’t die! Get up, damn you!” he yells, hoping that simply getting her free might be enough to rouse her. He has no means of healing, nothing on him, his bag and supplies all stripped away and Gods know where now. But Liv always has healing potions on hand. He reaches into her bag, fingers frantic and soaked in her blood. His other hand rests on her neck, searching desperately for her pulse because no healing potion can restart her heart. Gods, he wasted so much time getting over here.
She can’t die, not here, not now. They haven’t really spoken since the other night when his siblings came to collect him. She’d been so disappointed in him and his lies. It had only compounded here, wading through this house, with every shameful deed of his on full display. She’d looked so glad, so hopeful when he’d promised Sebastian they’d be back, only for that hope and belief in him to sputter out the second he mentioned ascending. She’s never wanted him to complete the ritual anyway.
His fingers close around the small, tapered bottle at the same moment he feels the light fluttering of her pulse, it’s faint, too faint. He doesn’t hesitate to pour the potion into her mouth, and watches with profound relief as the worst of her wounds stitch themselves closed, but barely. She was far closer to death than he’d thought. And he had stood over Cazador contemplating vengeance while she was bleeding out.
Liv’s eyes open in what seems like an intense effort, and she is a bloody mess, but she’s here. He could leave her now, just for a moment, just long enough to take care of Cazador and ascend. Lae’zel would help him, and Liv will be safe, right?
Liv takes in the scene, looking around with wide eyes, at Shadowheart healing Gale, at Lae’zel holding her sword at Cazador and he can see the second she decides there is more work to be done. She tries to get up. “We have to finish this.”
Of course her first thought after nearly dying is to help in whatever way she can. Liv would set fire to herself if it meant keeping others warm. And his first thought upon seeing her bleeding out was that he could still have power. That she’d be fine. A sick, roiling feeling has settled in his gut.
“You’re not getting up until you’re properly healed,” he gently presses her shoulder back, to keep her down.
It’s a testament to how hurt she is that she doesn’t fight him. “I…alright.”
But then, Shadowheart is there, hands already glowing with healing magic and he draws back to give them space. Gale and Lae’zel stand over Cazador, still awaiting his judgment. He’s not alone in this. Not anymore.
He had been so ready to sacrifice everything that truly mattered for power. He is the only one who gets to decide who he becomes now. He doesn’t want to become someone who would be willing to ignore the pain of someone he cares about - no matter how much power is on offer.
He can be better than that. He is better than that.
He approaches Cazador and picks back up the dagger. “I am better than you,” he says. “But I’m not above enjoying this.”

I’m still thinking about how in All of Our Demise Alistair was so clearly ready to kill or be killed that the the authors had to give him the “kill people and you die” curse and it was still barely enough to stop him from saying fuck it and burning the tournament and remaining champions to the ground in Hendry’s name

p5 suou au microwaving in my head thinking about shiho's parents' change of heart eventually lead to katsuya and maya taking her in. hmm. oh i could be so unhinged about this. akechi has shit to Say about this and none of the Phantom Thieves are going to enjoy it because they always strive for the ideal outcome and. well. akechi does not. and i think too much peace so suddenly with her parents would just leave Shiho on edge after so long under their scrutiny anyway.
#p5 suou au#like. imagine living with the same two parents that threw you under the bus#just because they had a forced change of heart#you still vividly remember how they've hurt and wronged you#they've apologised and expressed remorse and Everything#so now everything is meant to be all hunky dory and whatever#[akechi voice] that is bullshit the best thing you guys can do for each other is Cut Those Fucking Ties!!!!!!!#idk i just think of the mementos quest where you help futaba's online friend#when her parents are basically sex trafficking her or whatever?#and idc how much a change of heart someone could have#sometimes it's best to just leave it at that and then Never Fucking Engage With Them Again#the obligation to is ultimately dissolved#and in Shiho's case? yeah. yeah i just think something like that happening and being the real result of her parents change of heart.#i have a lot of thoughts on this#mostly bc i think the dynamic between shiho and akechi could be very interesting.#something something ''do you actually want to bother wasting your time with family that already betrayed you''#''do you think haru here is cordial with me because she wants to be no it's because it's an occupational hazard now''#''could you all cut the hallmark movie shit. holy fuck.''#they already ruined their relationship with shiho and#if shiho isn't AWARE of the thieves doing this for her the change of heart would be disconcerting anyway and she'd STILL be on her toes#around them!!! tell me she wouldn't!!!#not to mention katsuya and maya would be out for their blood anyway#i do also think ryuji would have a thing or two to say about this#given his own shitty dad#dude would NOT want him back in his life just because he made amends or whatever#get that boku no academia endeavour shit outta hereeeeee

Some more thoughts about Roger’s retirement:
1. Rafa cried more than Mirka because Mirka was getting her husband back after 20+ years of tennis, while Rafa was losing his tennis husband. In some ways, Mirka has probably been dreading but also looking forward to this day for a very long time, while Rafa never wanted this day to come, ever. Mirka gets to keep Roger after his retirement; Rafa will never get to compete against him again. They will most likely play more exhibition matches in the future, but that’s not the same as facing each other on the biggest stages when the stakes are high and your entire existence is narrowed down to you, the court, and the person on the other side.
2. A hundred bucks says Roger cries at Rafa’s retirement when it comes, but not nearly as much as Rafa cried at Roger’s. This isn’t because Roger is a dick or because he doesn’t care about Rafa deeply, but because of the asymmetrical timeline of their relationship from the very beginning. Roger came first and he left first; he left Rafa behind. When Rafa retires, he’ll be joining Roger in retirement. Roger won’t be feeling bereft. I think Roger will cry because he’ll be so goddamn proud of everything Rafa has done in his career and what he has meant to the sport, but that’s different from Rafa crying at the devastation of losing Roger.
In short, we’ll never see such an outpouring of emotion at a tennis player’s retirement ceremony ever again. Roger and Rafa are just Different and everyone knows it.
3. Because I’m mean: everybody claps but nobody cries at Novak’s retirement.
