I read these concepts for Prime Silver by @krafterwrites and liked them so much I made designs of my own based off of them
And maybe gave them a few headcanons of my own :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
New Yoke Silver adopted the nickname “Ghost” from the citizens when he would vanish after doing a good deed. The resistance tried to recruit him on multiple occasions, but he refused, choosing to stay on his own, for better or worse. He’s not unkind, but he can get so wrapped up in his missions that it’s hard to get through to him. He has a little bunker of his own, similar to Nine, in the outskirts of the city. He only lets himself be seen when absolutely necessary, as his powers make him a major target for the council. He has the most developed skill with his powers compared to his alternates.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spending so much time alone on his small boat means that No Place Silver (Skipper) is quite excitable when meeting anyone new. He did have a crew once, but the ship caught fire and sank, leaving him as the sole survivor on his little dinghy. That incident is why he needs the eyepatch too. While his boat does have a sail he crafted himself, he can move the boat while in the water with his powers. His powers help him survive on the open ocean where many others couldn’t, like he can simply grab fish from underwater (with marginal success) to eat. He loves to help but can sometimes go a bit overboard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boscage Silver (Sliver) wants to be left alone. Period. Never mind that he just stole your stuff, get within 10 feet of him and you are getting a tree flung at you. Ironically though, he’s really good friends with Mangey. He’s a man of few words, with only the occasional grunt to be heard. He’s terrified of Thorn, but prefers dealing with her to living with the other scavengers. His powers are really bright in the dim of the undergrowth, which means thorn can find him easier, so he doesn’t use them regularly, mostly for fighting and fleeing. Sometimes he disguises himself as a bush with how fluffy his head spines are.

What's your take on Hiram and Archie?
Oh god I love getting anons so much so I'm now worried I will disappoint you with this answer but here goes.
My take is that Hiram is a macho man who is physically incapable of producing a son, and this aggravates him, constantly, in a Henry VIII way. This leads him to really despise and want to destroy other men's sons. He has a son-fetish. He goes for Archie, he sets up Jughead to be killed, he adopts Reggie then abandons him. Hiram is deeply invested in Archie because he's the kind of son he can't have - an all American football playing white boy made of apple pie wholesomeness - but he wants this son, yes, but he also hates that he wants that. So there's always an insane push and pull impulse going on there from Hiram's side - wanting to have, to consume, to destroy.
(Aside: Jughead is the kind of son he's afraid he'll have, if he had one, esp. bc he's so similar to Veronica. Reggie is the son whose fraught, guilty relationship with his father Hiram can empathize with.)
Archie is a very binary thinker which is funny because everyone around him is not at all black and white, but this binary thinking makes him very absolutist. To him, his dad Fred is 100% all good, and therefore deserves a 100% good son. But Archie is often confronted with the fact that he's not 100% good, therefore he concludes he cannot burden his father with a less than perfectly good son. So he goes immediately to the worst person he can think of, which is Hiram, whom both people he listens to the most (Veronica and Jughead) talk about as being The Greatest Evil Ever. You see, if Archie can't be Good, he will subsume himself to Evil, and if he is in fact Good, he must destroy Evil because ambiguous coexistence with Evil is unacceptable. Depending on whether Archie thinks himself Good/Bad at any particular moment is what drives his relationship with Hiram, who stands for Evil and Archie's relationship with that concept.

I got two thoughts tonight:
Vulcans who’ve become so good at regulating their emotions that they still have a pretty good hold on them even when compromised, like under the influence of chocolate, and being quietly happy about that fact
And
Human partners/friends/coworkers/etc, not just other Vulcans, understanding how important it is to the Vulcans they know to not show emotion outwardly, and how humiliating it must be to not only show emotion in public but to have that choice + control ripped away from them, so whenever a situation where their control slips, like chocolate/weird plant pollen/emotionally compromising event/etc happens, they focus on helping that Vulcan get away from people and into some privacy (even from them) instead of using it as an opportunity to “find out how that Vulcan really feels about them”

Really sad omori headcanon I have (small spoilers) (Basil thing)
So, it’s never said which side of the family basils grandmother was on, but in my head she was basils maternal grandmother (as in his mom’s mom) and while this was something I just arbitrarily decided one day and didn’t give a lot of thought to…. Thinking of it now I can’t help but imagine that towards the end of her life Basils grandmother began to mistake Basil for her daughter,
And Basil wouldn’t correct her, wouldn’t tell her how she was mistaken and he was not his mother, he would let her believe that her daughter was there for her, that she had not abandoned them both … because not only did Basils parents leave him in the darkest days of his life, but they left Basils grandmother in the dying days of hers
Basils mother left her son to take her place, to let his hair grow out more then usual, to let his grandmother call him “daughter” when her real daughter had left them both behind :(
(We may not know much about Basils family but where there is potential I will FIND the angst and I will share it with everyone I can to make you all sad too)

ive been thinking about the horror aspect of woe.begone, and how the show has both visceral horror and more abstract horror related to the time travel nature of the show.
in the latest season specifically, listening to episodes i would sometimes think they were just the mikes talking & not too 'horror'. but thinking more, the horror this season comes from how far mike is removed from himself, from having a sense of self. hes been used by so many people (including himself!) that he no longer knows who he is. and weve seen michael & mw deal with this in part by being cowboys, but its a problem all the mikes still face.
worrying about mdawg is what made me write this, cause thinking about him being made to do things, then forget, takes away his agency so completely that he gets hurt and isnt even allowed to know why. and since theres so many interations, hes seen as dispensable, which is proved by the tragic army of michaels. but while someone like ty may see his iterations as dispensable, mikes always seen iterations as their own people, so it feels especially cruel for him to be the one used this way.

OKOK I know you said youre doing prep and shouldnt be doing markposting so feel free to ignore this till later but i saw the ask about marks humanity and i wanted to ask Does mark do anything special to hold onto his humanity? like endowments/donations or protection of humans or the like? or is he just trying to slow his decline
no its good i gave up i shall prep tomorrow AUGH hehehehe
and uh thats a good idea! LMAOOO but for now he's only like 8 months dead so he still teaches his class as an adjunct which def helps him stay in touch because his students love him :) being a vampire helps ur charisma according to my ST so his classes are going very well. so thats the main thing.
His friend Kenny, who is a touchstone, recently moved to Detroit and he initially put off meeting up but he relented and did so. Im worried that put him in danger as does Mark but he wanted to see him bad : ( and the St said if he hadn't he would have lost touch with his humanity lmao so he did that too
Long term he should do somethin like that but i feel like donations would feel too impersonal to help and I think Mark would agree - he should Ponder what he's gonna do to stay in touch once he's been dead too long to teach classes.. maybe ask cassidy about it.. hm hm much 2 consider. I could totally see him protecting specific humans later on.
He also hopes to stay close w sampson which can help him cling to his humanity but they aint on great terms rn... sampson is his ex/accidental ghoul who hates kindred but was Okay with mark but idk the blood bond is fading and its complicated and. Ok too much history here to summarize sorry salkdjflkfds.
i know mark already wants to start chronicling the history he plans to unlive during! he wishes other kindred cared more about human history and so he's resolved to keep track of stuff :D I think long term he'd wanna write essentially "A Full Kine History" book haha nerd.

Headcanon that howl gives sophie a lovespoon. Not just that he gives her a lovespoon but that he makes her one. It's slightly uneven and a little misshapen but carved with intent. The love behind it is clear. Sophie's soft smile as she slowly turns it, taking in the detail is everything to howl. (a wonky heart shaped bowl, the handle extending into a wheel with four sections (matching the wheel for the door) a small flame etched into the center of the wheel, the handle splitting into two pieces that criss cross before joining up again and coming forming a second heart at the top of the handle, there is a hat and a falling star etched into the handle towards the bottom and towards the top there is a flower and a feather etched in) it proudly hangs on the wall next to the hearth

What is the Melodrama plot?
OHOHOOOROWJQHQ WHERE DO I BEGIN. HOW DO I EXPLAIN THIS. UUMMMMMMUHHH. ITS?????? THERES A LOT. I can't explain EVERYTHING(half because I havent made it up yet LOL and half because I don't want to spoil what I HAVE made up for anyone who'd possibly be interested in maybe reading it in the future once it's in production, or if there's like someone completely new to M...! and doesn't know what it's about yet and doesn't want a massive info dump(if that's you, hi, I'm sorry)), I'm not too sure how in depth I should go into this but BASICALLY,,,, like the main synopsis is that uhhhbnjj...
Cadenza Manor is sort of a place where ghosts and angels live or just use it as a place to rest before moving on. There are people who are able to see and interact with these spirits(called mediums). Mediums aren't very common and are generally not known about, the previous owner of the manor was one of these people. After his passing the manor falls under new management, that being Carmen (the worst character and also our main protagonist). The first problem is that Carmen is not a medium, the second is that he brought a poltergeist with him(which in this universe if very different from a normal ghost, they are basically that but worse), and the third is that he's incredibly immature and not at all equipped to run such a place (he inherited the manor). At some point Simon(another medium but it's a bit more complicated than that) shows up and fixes like one and a half of these problems but not without things flipping upside down and getting worse. There are weird relationship/self-image/legal issues, a detective is after Carmen now, and there's some freaky body horror, and also angels that eat each other and the manor itself. Not directly because of Simon (at least not all of it) but it was bound to happen anyway.
I said I didn't want to info dump but AACKKK THERE IT IS. ITS SUCH A MESS AND I COULDNT CONSENSE IT ANY MORE. There's a LOT more to it, I've been working on worldbuilding a lot lately and a lot of things have changed and gotten better, I'm really liking where the story is going and I'm super excited to work on a full comic!!! There's also a lot that I haven't come up with which is why I'm working on a smaller project set within that universe, just to get an idea of what I'm in for
TL;DR: the series is about ghosts, angels, and some funny guys that live in a big ol house

Been having idle playlist thoughts about three of hearts for the past few days and "real men by mitski for spar" and it hit me like a TRAIN (very light spoilers)
Like on one hand applying the song to a masc dude with masc dude problems seems surface level, and it kind of is! But set in a queernormative world (and observed from a no queernormative one) the song asks the question of what forces besides masculinity gave Spar his outlook and the contrast between "little boys" coming from someone who burnt bridges with folks he loved young and lost his parents younger.
And then the turn of the song! The moment that contrasts independence and self assurance with desire and a need for validation that in the original idea plays on those who don't hold themselves to masculine standards (in what I feel is a derogatory manner though obviously the subject is complex) but in this one is moreso about wanting the love and support of people who let themselves be vulnerable, wanting the "please tell me I'm going a good job being strong so you can be weak because sometimes it doesn't feel worth it" and yk the resident bitterness of giving and giving and giving and giving and receiving very little in return (even if that was self inflicted!)
And the AGGRESSION of the ending, my god the BRACING of it, the challenge. The "I know this'll hurt but I need it" and the way it can be seen as both a step forward and a continuation of the status quo? UGH.
I'm gonna tag @citrusandsalt directly and ofc no need to respond I just wanted you to know he is making enough laps in my head to wear grooves into the tarmac

It’s so wild to me that some cis people really don’t get that there’s no way they could really understand some of the issues I have- and that that’s ok as long as they accept that these issues still exist for me, no matter how little sense they make to them.
My cello teacher has no way to comprehend why I can’t sing a song in a higher key, and trying to get behind it isn’t going to lead to a solution. Sometimes you just have to accept things, and I don’t expect her to transpose it just for me, but then I simply won’t sing it. That easy
