The only physical reference I'll make will be reader's silver hair

Viserys, for totally not selfish reasons wanted to keep the princess in KL, saying Rhea should not be made to raise his bastard

>Daemon said he'd rather be exiled again than to leave his daughter in Hightower hands to go try to fuck his wife. Viserys was greatly offended by the implication that the Hightowers truly ruled and schemed while he reigned

>To his outmost displeasure, he finally had to let his niece go to the Vale with her father

>Rhea loved you as soon as she set eyes on you, completely separating you from your father's actions, and seeing you as a pure angel in this horrible situation

>But it was so difficult with Daemon around, she just wanted to whisk you away and love you, she'd pray to the mother to be able to breastfeed you, crying when she heard you wail in frustration of your hunger, since it took several wet nurses to get you to drink milk

>But Daemon was always around to remind her you were not hers, that he considered her lowly, not worthy of you. He'd correct you when you learning to speak, and dared to refer to her as "mama"

>But this joy to Rhea was short lived, as Daemon sent you to KL when he had to fight in the war of the stepstones, saying the "nest of vipers" was more deserving of you than she was. >It was Viserys greatest pleasure when you were left at his care, his adorable baby niece was now an infant, and somehow you were even more charming, being able to speak, sing and walk

>To no one's surprise, Viserys' reaction was not generalized, with many not being keen on having a bastard running around the castle playing with the princes, by that point, Aegon was 8, Haelena was 7, Aemond was 5, and Daeron was 1, and almost all of them could see people treated you differently

>Rhaenyra was welcoming, baby Lucerys had just been born, and she was delighted to have a girl to spoil, it only helped that Jacaerys loved you as well, and would often fight his uncles for the chance to be with you

>Alicent in particular was not pleased with your presence, thinking you were an uncomfortable conversation to have with her children, especially resentful of the fact her youngest son would be attached at the hip with you

>Even though the Hightowers were tougher than the king, they did eventually succumb to your spell, and became just as enamoured with you as everyone else, in their minds, you were almost a product of spontaneous generation, completely ignoring your shameful father and prostitute mother

>Your arrival also caused the birth of Lucerys (who was again, born with a striking resemblance of Harwin Strong, just like his older brother) to be less gossiped about, after all, your case was much more interesting

>Some people in court starting referring to you as "The princess of flea bottom", this title costed quite a few tongues around the castle, ordered by Viserys, happily approved by Otto

>The Hightower hand was careful not to show too much affection to you, as it was improper and he knew how zealous was Viserys when it came to you

You know how everybody says that no things and events are coincidences?

This sorcerer definitely and deliberately got you transported back in time to solo you.

You don't need to know that though.

At first, he indeed got a bit guilty from isolating you so suddenly and without a warning from your beloved demon brothers.

But the more he saw the beauty of you and him living like a domestic couple together?

It eased his guilt almost immediately.

Back then in the original world, he spent most of his time gazing at you from afar. Wishing that it was he who was closest to you.

Not those demon brothers that he can't seem to shake at all.

Sure, he became your master/mentor, but that's it. You never saw him more than that.

And it frustrated him greatly.

So he had no choice. I hope you forgive him for that :(.

Solomon definitely got more closer to you once you went back in time.

But it was still hard not to frown when he sometimes hear you cry in wanting to go back to the present.

So, he does his best to distract you from everything.

Solomon definitely manipulates everything to his whims if it means getting closer to you.

I can also see Solomon being nicer to you and a distant coldness to him when somebody speaks to him that's not you.

Two-faced Solomon is a thing i've been thinking about for quite a while, and it fits him so well.

If he had a choice, he would just keep you from rekindling flames with the past brothers at all.

But he's too nice for that.

That, and he can't afford your image of him to break at all.

People will warn you about him and how he's shady.

But you know him best! He would never force a demon on a pact at all! All of these demons only knew the sorcerer Solomon, and not him.

Oh he would definitely use tears also. He will not hesitate to do so once he knows tears are your weakness.

He will build an image of a mischievous but good sorcerer in your eyes.

And he will not hesitate to eliminate those who threatens to break that image at all

Both of you are human! Only you and him are all the both of you got. The others cannot be trusted that much.

Even the brothers! They're not your demon brothers that's for sure.

So only rely on him.

He went back to the present and he can hear the present demon brother's bemoans of agony from not having you.

They were about to tear the whole devildom apart trying to find you.

Then, there's Barbatos in both the past and present to bring you back to the present to not mess with the timeline anymore.

But Barbatos foresaw this already. So what's the point?

This only made Barbatos frown and say "He's gonna regret that."

When Solomon went back to the hall, he realized you weren't there.

Strange, you're usually home by this time.

He asked the demon brothers, nothing.

He asked Simeon and Diavolo. But nothing also.

He even went as far to ask Thirteen, only to get a face full of octopus.

He's getting frustrated, not until he saw little Luke acting fidgety.

Oh. He knows where you are.

Unfortunately for him, you ran away from the hall because you figured out that he deliberately transported you here.

You screamed at him, asking him why.

And you started to question everything about him. About how if he's really as nice as he is, as to why he's so adamant on helping you, on how he knows every solution to everything!

Solomon can feel his whole resolve crumble. All his hard work down the drain.

A Side Chapter That Takes Place During Diavolo and MC's Impromptu Vacation After The Kingsblood Crucible

I should have known this was coming. We've pretty much exhausted all other topics of conversations during our time here at the villa. Still, I didn't expect him to broach the subject so...abruptly. We were simply sitting outside and watching the sunset when he glances over at me and states calmly,

"So, you've fucked my butler." I nearly choke on my drink.

"I-Is that a bad thing?" I ask, setting it on the table between us.

"Not necessarily. I just want to know how it happened. He's normally not one to indulge in such pleasures." I pull up my text conversation with Barbatos on my D.D.D. and show it to Diavolo. He gently takes the phone away from me as he reads that particular string of texts between the two of us. When he finishes, he hands the phone back to me.

"I didn't realize you were attracted to each other," he remarks.

"He's a nice-looking man."

"That's all?" I nervously swallow.

"Well...we've managed to bond over metal music in both timelines. In fact, it's what led to it happening the first time."

"Really?" I nod, proceeding to tell him about the events leading up to and after the Severa concert I went to with my version of Barbatos.

"I see," he responds once I'm finished. "The main reason that I asked is because I've noticed Barbatos growing more attached to you. His scent's grown a lot stronger since your arrival, to the point where it seems as though he's not trying as hard to hide it as he once did." He briefly pauses before adding,

"It's also beginning to overpower yours, which is a bit of a shame. You smell nice." Out of context, this would be very creepy, but I know his comment is innocent enough.

"Is he this territorial over you in your timeline?"

"Not usually," I answer. "He was pretty handsy before the concert, but I think that's only because he felt like he could get away with it in that context, if that makes sense." Diavolo nods his head.

"He likes keeping his professional life separate from his personal." We each take sips out of our drinks. "So, obviously Solomon and you are like an unofficial married couple, but what's your relationship like with the others? Is it similar to what you have with Barbatos, or do you merely see them as friends and colleagues?" I swallow nervously. Having the future king of the Devildom wanting to know this aspect of my life is nerve-racking, to say the least. Would he think less of me after this?

"Well...to put it simply, I'm a wee bit of a whore when it comes to them." Diavolo hums lightly in response.

"Wouldn't have pegged you as the type."

"I didn't use to be, but then the exchange program happened, and as I got to know everyone, feelings naturally began forming, and one thing led to another, resulting in me wanting to engage in those activities more and more often."

"Interesting. Is there anyone in particular that you feel the most drawn to?"

"There's three."

"Including Solomon?" I nod my head. "And the other two?"

"Well...there's Lucifer." Another hum, this one deeper and more drawn out. As if he's displeased.

"That's always been a bit of a sore subject between us," I tell him. "In fact, I think that's part of why we really didn't get along at first. I felt like you were taking advantage of him, and you thought that I was taking him away from you." Diavolo sighs.

"Lucifer...he means a lot to me. He's unlike anyone I've ever met, which makes me all the more attracted to him. But even if I'm successful in implementing my goal of uniting the three realms, I doubt there would ever come a time where I'd..." He trails off, appearing to collect his thoughts.

"At the end of the day, I have to consider who'd be fit to rule by my side, and even if I didn't have to abide by tradition, I just don't think he has it in him to be able to do it successfully." Well, this is interesting. I was under the impression that he'd marry Lucifer in a heartbeat if he could. He certainly acted that way in my timeline.

"You seem confused," Diavolo observes. "Is the relationship I have with Lucifer that much different where you come from?"

"In a word, yes." He sighs again.

"The biggest problem is the mark. Its influence is making him act increasingly subservient towards me, and I want my future partner to feel like they're equal to me. If I'm being stupid, I'd want someone to tell me that and help me change my behavior. That wouldn't be possible if I'm constantly surrounded by yes men.

"As it is, it's difficult to find objective people. They're either too afraid or too enamored to stand up to me. My father used that to his advantage. I won't make that same mistake."

"I see." I'm a bit surprised that he's being so open about all this. I mean, it's not like I'm going to tell anyone, not even when I get back home, but still. My Diavolo and I have never been able to get this close. We've had deep conversations, sure, but never about this.

"So, Solomon and Lucifer. Who's number three?" I find myself hesitating to answer. It's not that I don't want to; I'm simply too nervous about his potential reaction to be able to form words.

"It's okay, MC. Just move your head. Sound good?" I nod.

"Is it a member of royalty?" Nod.

"Is it someone from the House of Lords?" Shake.

"Is it one of their servants?" A confused shake.

"We generally treat them as part of the royal family," he explains. "After all, they help ensure that things run smoothly for us." Nod.

"Is it someone that I'd know?"

"Kind of?" Oh, so now my mouth decides to work. Diavolo tilts his head and studies me. A couple minutes later, he gets up from his chair and walks over to me. Leaning over me, he gently lifts my chin up so that I'm looking directly into his eyes.

"Is it me?" His voice is much huskier than it was before, making my heart begin racing. I'm afraid to tell him the truth, but I also know that he's going to see right through whatever lie I tell him.

Might as well be honest with him. It'd be better than the alternative.

"Yes." He smiles softly.

"Good."

Good?

Diavolo's lips touch mine, causing my brain to shut off momentarily. He's pleasantly warm. Makes me all tingly inside.

Even though the kiss doesn't last very long, I still find myself slightly out of breath when he pulls away.

"Strange," he whispers, taking a step back to give me space.

"What?"

"I thought that would have satisfied my curiosity, but I..." Is he getting nervous?

"You were curious about me?" He nods.

"After I first told you about my trial, I had a vision. It appeared as a brief flash of color at first, but when I was able to focus on it, it showed you and me sitting beside each other on thrones. Your behavior at the Kingsblood Crucible proved to me that you'd be more than capable of ruling alongside me, but then I began wondering how we'd even get to that point in the first place. If the House of Lords didn't like me allowing the seven brothers to live here, then in what world would they accept me marrying a human?"

"That hasn't stopped you from broaching the subject before."

"I figured as much, but I still wanted to know why."

"And?" Diavolo takes a deep breath.

"You taste ridiculously sweet. It's awoken something in me, and I find myself wanting more. In fact, it's making it increasingly harder to concentrate on anything else."

Oh. Is this how the others feel about me? It'd certainly explain some of their behavior towards me; I'm like a drug to them. Whether it's due to my powers, my ancestry, or something else entirely, I'm not sure.

But that's not really that important right now.

"Do you want me to enable you, or stop you?" I ask Diavolo.

"I...I don't know." A blush develops on his face, and he suddenly seems unable to look at me. I'm not used to seeing this side of the prince, but I can't say I mind it. It's rather adorable.

"Do you trust me enough to make the decision for you?" He nervously swallows before nodding his head, and I get up from my chair and stand in front of him. Standing on the tips of my toes makes me just tall enough for me to kiss Diavolo.

The next thing I know, I'm sitting in his lap as we practically devour each other. At least that's something that stays consistent across time and space.

I'm sure both of us are going to be littered with marks by the time we're done.

Obey Me Nightbringer Theory Time: MC is an Unreliable Narrator

Part 1: MC is an Unreliable Narrator | Part 2: A Clash of Ideals

What if the MC knows more than they are letting on? What if the MC's motives is different from ours, as the player?

(Disclaimer: Long post. Different from my meme content. Contains spoilers for all of NB and OG content. Also I may wake up tomorrow and cringe at this, but hopefully you can enjoy my delirium?)

NB = Obey Me Nightbringer

It all starts from the beginning

We can see traces of this from when we first launch the game, with MC's first text messages with Nightbringer. And I'm not talking about the messages that we saw when the game first launched, but the new re-write of those same messages. You can compare the differences between the old texts and the new texts on @impish-ivy 's post here (thank you for allowing me to discuss it here). I'll include some of their screenshots as reference.

Let's take a look at the new version of the text exchange. Now, I don't know about you, but I have no idea what Nightbringer is talking about. But Sheep-chan apparently does! If MC answers that they think they understand what he's talking about, they get to keep their memories when they get sent to the past. But if MC says they don't have a clue? The game assumes that they have lost their memories. This seems like a strong indicator that MC knows something that we, as the player, do not know about Nightbringer and their powers. This exchange is very different from how things played out in the original version of these text messages where:

Yes I know them. Really well, actually = MC has their memories.

I don't know who they are = MC has no memories.

[The official reason for this change was "to make the game more enjoyable for new players", but I don't buy that. In the original version, it was quite clear which option you had to pick to signal to the game that you have not played OG. While in this version, it's way more convoluted, since the player will have no idea what Nightbringer is actually talking about. It just causes people who have played OG to accidentally signal to the game that they haven't. Why change the text to be even more confusing, when the original version would have sufficed for newer players?]

Now let's follow this line of thought for a moment. Nightbringer states that the MC has received "a second chance at a fated meeting", and MC has to answer that they think they know what this means if they want to keep their memories during the time jump. If they don't, then Nightbringer assumes that they have lost their memories.

Which leads me to believe that Sheep-chan is not entirely an innocent victim who was unwittingly sent to the past. Instead, they were a willing participant of the time jump. Maybe they have some understanding on how Nightbringer's powers worked and wanted to meet the brothers again. Maybe they too were curious to see what their ideal world looked like. With this idea in mind, let's re-evaluate everything MC has said and done in NB.

MC's interactions with Nightbringer (and Michael, I guess)

After the intro, the next time MC directly interacts with Nightbringer is in Lesson 12 of NB, where they get sent into a coma after breaking the rules at the Fountain of Knowledge. Let's look at what he says here for a moment.

The first thing Nightbringer asks MC is what they think of this world, a rather unusual thing to ask someone who is kinda sorta dying. If MC says they want to go home, Nightbringer expresses some confusion as to whether the brothers of this world are not to MC's liking. It makes sense for him to be confused here, since he sent MC to this timeline under the impression that they would like this world (or at least, view this world as a stepping stone to reach their "place of joy").

(Then again, if MC responds that they are enjoying this world, Nightbringer is even more perplexed that they can remain upbeat in such a precarious situation. But knowing what canon Sheep-chan is like, why is this surprising?)

After this, he explains that his motive is to lead MC to a place that will "bring [them] joy like no other". This fits what he had said in the beginning of the game:

"Shall I take you someplace you will be happy? Somewhere that will bring you more joy than any other."

"A world you desire, and where you will be desired."

He then goes on to emphasise that both he and MC want the same thing. He comments on how MC has done a splendid job getting closer to Lucifer and his brothers. This is where I feel that Nightbringer was never MC's enemy, as both parties have similar goals, and they need each other to some extent. MC needed Nightbringer and other mysterious forces to set the gears in motion so that MC can become closer to the brothers, forge pacts with them, and reach their "ideal" world. Nightbringer wants to bring MC to this place of happiness, and he sees MC forming pacts with the brothers as the way to get there. In this case, Nightbringer is a co-conspirator here.

This idea then gets brought up again when MC sees Michael in Lesson 13, when he saves MC from their coma. He warns MC that the Celestial Realm would be less willing to tolerate their behaviour if they ally themselves with Nightbringer (which, is exactly what MC has been doing so far). Is Michael afraid of the MC trying to forge their ideal world together with Nightbringer? Or is he afraid that MC is getting tricked by Nightbringer?

This also explains why Nightbringer never interacted with MC again after this incident. Everything MC had done in NB was what Nightbringer had wanted as well. Nightbringer didn't need to intervene because everything was going according to his plan.

Comparison of MC's actions in OG vs NB

When we consider the fact that MC may have actually wanted to go back to the past and meet the brothers again, a lot of their actions (and even their inaction) makes more sense. When Solomon tells them they need to make the pacts to get back to their own time, MC is in no rush to obtain these pacts. In fact, they don't even think about making those pacts until Season 2 when they are faced with an ultimatum to make those pacts, which is, they have to forge the pacts before MC and Solomon lose their connection to their original time. This is different from the usual behaviour in OG, where they were extremely motivated to make a pact with every brother from Beelzebub -> Asmo -> Satan and employed help from multiple people to acheive this goal. They even took the initiative to ask Lucifer for a pact on the day before they left the Devildom, when they had no reason to do so.

This is very different from how Season 2 of NB played out, as MC simply waited around until each brother went beserk (in the case of Mammon, Asmo and Satan) before they even thought about proposing the pact. In Lucifer's case, even though MC (after much prompting) spoke up about needing to go back to their home, it was Mephistopheles advocating for MC that ultimately convinced Lucifer to let MC go. And later on, MC remained on the sidelines and let the other characters take the reign in rescuing Lucifer from Cocytus. Compared to the original game, where MC takes on a more active role in forming their pacts, MC is more passive in Nightbringer, simply biding their time until the opportunity to make a pact falls onto their lap. Is this how somebody who desperately misses their home and wants to go back ASAP would act?

Regardless of how you choose to play the MC as, they always express some hesitation in leaving behind the brothers of the past. No matter how many times you try to make the MC say they want to go back home ASAP, Lucifer will gaslight-gatekeep-girlboss MC into admitting that they do not want to leave. Simeon in Lesson 35 of NB even reaffirms this by saying "I'm sure you really feel that way deep down inside. Even if you don't realise it". Bruh.

But why? MC should know that their home is with the boys of the present timeline. Why has the MC never considered the repercussions of staying in a timeline that they don't belong in? Or even considered how Solomon could lose his powers for good because of MC's hesitance? Why had MC never once stopped to consider how the demon brothers they had left behind would feel about their absence? This shouldn't even be a dilemma.

Unless... this past was the place they wanted to end up in the first place. That, like Nightbringer had said, this place will bring them joy like no other.

As an aside: One of the few insights we get about Sheep-chan's inner thoughts is the nightmare they have about the brothers trapping them in the attic and preventing them from leaving (in Lesson 33 of NB). Which has horrific implications, considering the attic still did not exist at this point of time. Was Belphegor's imprisonment and the Lesson 16 incident so traumatic for MC that the attic is the place that they associate with imprisonment?

Note how some of the brothers keep suggesting that THIS is the outcome that the MC really wants. But this also provides another possible reason for the MC's hesitation to leave: The fear of how the brothers' of the past would react. The fear of brothers turning against them, despite everything MC had done to protect them. Speaking of what MC had done to protect them...

MC forging their place in the past Devildom

MC hasn't taken active measures to forge their pacts to return home, but you know what they have shown to be more interested in? Asserting their place in the Devildom of the past, and spending time with the past version of the brothers.

The best example of this is Lesson 11 of NB, where the MC hesitates to promise to Solomon to protect humanity, but with no hesitation, promises to take care of the brothers even with full knowledge that they would be punished for doing this. If we remember Lesson 35 of OG where MC, Solomon and the demon brothers went to the reaper's cave to break Beel's curse, Solomon was surprised that the demon brothers' punishments for breaking the reaper's rules (turning into a Little D) were so mild. It was implied that without MC unconsciously protecting them with their magic, the brothers could have died or been wiped out from existence upon breaking the rules.

A weakened MC of the past who retains their memories of this incident in the reaper's cave would know just how severe the backlash would be if they make promises in the cave. But this did not stop them from doing so anyway. This shows where MC's allegiance truly lies: Not with humanity, not with any mysterious forces at play, but with the demon brothers. It's hard to tell what the MC hopes to get out of making such a dangerous promise.

The most optimistic take is that they felt forced to prove their loyalty to Lucifer and his family by taking such a drastic action. After all, MC is used to sacrificing their life for the people they love. Throwing themselves at death is nothing new to them.

The most cynical take would be that this bold decision was actually a calculated move by the MC to assert their importance and their role in the demon lords' lives. To show just how bad things can get without them. To guilt-trip Lucifer and Belphegor who had doubted the MC's allegiance, so that they never doubt MC again.

Regardless of their motivation, the MC's actions showed that they are inseparable from Lucifer's family, and this incident served to further cement the MC's importance to them. This allowed MC to strengthen their bonds with the brothers once again. So that they can create a world they desire, and they will be desired.

Putting this all together

Obey Me: Nightbringer paints the image of a MC being ripped from their home and being thrust into an unfamiliar world. Yet, the MC's actions in NB tell a different story. It shows us that Nightbringer is turning the gears so that MC can go to a place surrounded by people that they love, and who will love them no matter what. Because it wouldn't be enough if the characters of the present were hopelessly in love with them, but the characters of the past should also feel the same way. Even if that is a world the MC does not belong in.

All I'm saying is, Sheep-chan is sus as heck.

Obey Me Nightbringer lesson 36: aka Lucifer third wheeling on MC and Mephisto's date

No but fr I always get so happy whenever he appears, this lesson is such a blessing!! There was even a small romantic moment!!! Thirteen and Raphael have also been having their moments lately and I genuinely feel that with how close we're getting to season 3, they might finally debut as LI!!!! Honestly I just mostly want Mephisto,,, But Raphael and Thirteen are really fun characters too and I just know they'll be great romancebles too

This post has been in my drafts for a bit so now lesson 37 came out and!! Oh my god I am so jealous of Belphie, I wanted to make a deal with Mephisto wtf :'(

Anyway after this lesson I feel a bit more confident about season 3 being the one to finally introduce Mephisto, Thirteen and Raphael as LIs, because they really all seem to be perfectly placed for it rn- Mephisto joined us on a mission to save Lucifer, Thirteen has once again established herself as a trustworthy confidant to MC, and Raphael is showing doubts toward the Celestial Realm... All of them are the closest they've ever been to the MC rn (at least in NB, I'm still in early season 3 of OG and have to constantly use rainbow lights hhh) while we're super close to the end of season 2... Idk the cards just seem to align!!! I'm honestly really hoping I'm right on this because fr the past two lessons only further reinforced for me how badly I wanna romance Mephisto lol

Also, I was half expecting Simeon to get sentenced too but obviously that hasn't happened yet and Barbatos, Solomon, us and Simeon himself are the only ones who could possibly know rn about how his future is to fall sooo. Makes sense that he didn't but... It really made me think of him lol.

Also I genuinely think THIS is the moment where the timeline diverges too much for us to be able to go back to our future. Everyone is at the edge of some sort of breakthrough that contradicts how they start off in OG, and like. Obviously Lucifer is gonna make a pact with us by the end of the season, and? Either that ends NB and continues the OG story which will be about dealing with the fact that all of the cast now has different memories of the past which now includes us, which is why OG is still active (unlikely, I think it's pretty much abandoned and they're just keeping it up for as long as possible rn which. I'm cool with, NB is much more fun, they should just add an archive in NB so the OG stories aren't lost and take it down imo), or... We find out that our future no longer exists, which is how we return at the start of season 3 of NB after departing at the end of season 2- there's no going back anymore after how long we've stayed and how much we've changed.

we've barely heard any characters talk about god at all except for mainly the brothers' discussion of their lives in the celestial realm, is he asleep like dia's dad??? like where is he

Ok so so, this one depends on how far you might be in Nightbringer, but how likely do you think Michael is close to appearing in the NB game?

This might be wishful thinking, but I think he's pretty close.

I've noticed he's been coming up more and more, gradually becoming more of a significant character over the course of the series. Whereas in the early seasons of the OG, he was really only mentioned every once in a while and usually by Luke, he's gradually been making himself known. At the end of S2 he had his first distant conversation with MC, throughout S3 he started being mentioned more and had another conversation with MC, in S4 he had his first real influence on the overarching plot, and in Nightbringer we actually get to directly talk to him in person (albeit in disguise). He's gradually become more and more incorporated into the story over the seasons, and with him actually showing up in the flesh (even if not his own) last season was a HUGE step in this upward trend.

There was also the end of that last season, where it's heavily implied by Raphael and himself that he's planning on joining the exchange program at some point in the future.

None of this is really new, but I do have one thing to add to the discussion, and it's some more subtle foreshadowing from outside the main story. It's a Nightbringer phone call from Levi, talking about some random in-universe anime character. By now, we know that a lot of the in-universe media has parallels to the actual Obey Me story, and this one stuck out to me.

Hm... an angel who keeps randomly popping up. That sounds a little too familiar to be a coincidence. They even go as far as to put the dialogue, "I can't help but think he's going to play an important role in the story later."

This feels like pretty on-the-nose foreshadowing.

I think Michael's definitely coming soon, and will play a major role. My only question is which timeline.

I believe we've interacted with both timelines' Michaels in Nightbringer. NB timeline Michael was the one messing around in disguise as Raphael, but I believe it was OG timeline Michael who brought MC out of their coma. His mood seemed completely different in that coma conversation- he seemed stressed and frustrated, an understandable reaction to having someone incredibly important to your timeline tugged away. The Michael we saw later in the season seemed more or less indifferent to MC, more focused on the brothers than anything else- an understandable reaction for someone who had literally just lost them.

It's NB timeline's Michael who seems the most interested in showing himself. However, MC seems pretty damn close to remaking all their pacts and returning to their own timeline. So I have to wonder: which Michael are we going to meet? What's coming, and how exactly does he tie into it?

OKAY So I've had an idea that could be either funny, angsty, or smutty depending on your mood. So imagine Mammon and MC had sex before Mammon became invested in them back when he was kind of a shit to them (I'm imagining the in original Obey Me timeline, not NB). Mammon didn't care much abt them so he was pretty selfish and it was kind of shit for MC... but imagine if it was MC's first time!

It could be funny if later they don't hold it against them and use it to tease him, could be angsty if they're upset abt it or it just kinda leads to them being uninterested in him, or could be smutty if they tell him he can have a second chance :D)

I just like to imagine all the ways this scenario could go lmao

I feel like my response to this depends on whether or not Mammon knew it was MC's first time. Like to be fair, I'm pretty sure most first times aren't exactly a transcendent experience, but if he was aware of it and still didn't care, that's pretty bad. I could only go with angst for that scenario because any MC who would forgive him for that is a bigger person than I lol.

BUT I think the other two options could work if Mammon found out it was MC's first time later. Like he didn't know at the time, but then MC tells him in order to tease him and then also possibly elicit a second try? I think Mammon can be kind of oblivious in general, so it makes sense to me that he wouldn't even be aware of the fact that it was MC's first time. Uh oh. I actually like that idea. Oh what have you done, anon? Fine, fine, here's a drabble. I had to work really hard to keep it under 500 words and it's only missing that number by two.

It was a quiet night in the House of Lamentation while you watched Mammon counting the Grimm he had earned from his latest modeling gig. You were sitting next to him on the couch in his room and he seemed to almost forget that you were there. This gave you the chance to observe him, to watch how serious he became as he calculated his finances. A look that said he was focused only on his task.

It was a look you wished he had given you back then, when you found yourself beneath him.

You smirked, nudging him. "Hey. Remember that time we had sex?"

Mammon froze for a moment as a blush exploded across his face. He frowned and put down the Grimm he'd been counting.

"'Course I remember," he said, not looking at you.

You leaned toward him. "Did you know you're my first man in more ways than one?"

Mammon's eyes snapped to you. "W-what-? MC!"

You laughed at his dumbfounded expression.

"Why didn't ya tell me?!" he demanded, covering his face with his hands. "Damn it, I was such a jerk. How can ya even stand to be around me?"

You pulled his hands away from his face. "Don't say stuff like that. You sound like Levi."

Mammon still wouldn't look at you.

You turned his face so he would meet your eyes. "How about I give you a second chance?"

His expression became determined and he grabbed your hand in both of his. "You'd let me make it up to ya?"

You answered him with a kiss.

Mammon wrapped his arms around you, pulling you onto his lap, his hands already beneath your shirt.

The kiss became hot and heavy so fast your head began to spin. You pulled away with a gasp and Mammon's lips fell to your neck. Then you felt yourself being lifted. He carried you over to his bed where he wasted no time removing your clothes and his.

Here you were again, beneath the Avatar of Greed. You looked up at him and your heart swelled when you saw that look of concentration, the glimmer of feeling in his eyes. You saw a demon who wanted nothing more than to take care of you, to do what he should have done back then.

That night, Mammon fucked you gentle and slow, taking his time and savoring every moment. You would never forget the sound of his moans mingled with yours, the way he listened to whatever you asked for, how he couldn't stop saying your name.

When you woke up in his arms, Mammon was watching your sleeping face. You blushed a little at the memory of the night you spent together.

"I'm sorry about back then, MC," he said quietly. "Did I… did I make it up to ya?"

You smiled at him. "Don't worry. I don't regret that you were my first man."

Mammon blushed furiously and then tried to hide it by kissing you.

Some more thoughts on Obey Me! Nightbringer up until lesson 41 (with many more spoilers)

We are so back with new lessons oh my gosh

This is the background art for lesson 33 but I'm showing it to you cause is my favorite art so far 🩷

I don't have any screenshots this time, I may go back and look for the receipts and then edit this post, but I have many thoughts:

I finally finished the first game!! 🥳 Which is great because lesson 41 starts and they immediately quiz you if you remember how that game ended. I haven't finished the hard lessons for it tho so no spoilers for that.

Ok so the time travel seems to be working in a slightly different way than how it did in the first game, which is great because we all know that was questionable to say the least. The way I get it is more like traveling between AT's and they all inform on one another. So changing the past doesn't change the future but it does leave an effect on the people you interact with, so what it does is make an alternate branch timeline where the past changed slightly but the future (our present) ends up unchanged for the most part.

We're now back in our present and I'm intrigued by how the time travel will affect everyone. Specially Simeon. Btw, can we just let Simeon alone? This guy has done nothing wrong in both games and he seems to keep getting L's and I'm worried. He was MVP of the first game by far and I'll be sad if anything else happens to him. Simeon stans must be biting their nails.

I have a new theory but no screenshots so bear with me for a sec. The times Nightbringer has talked to us they always sound sorta playful, mysterious cause they know more than we do but there's no hostility. But there is one extra story in hard more (somewhere around lesson 10-15 iirc) where Solomon speaks to Nightbringer.

Honestly no surprise there. Solomon is Sketchy with capital S. This tells us he lied about not knowing what was happening and it's at least partially collaborating with NB, cause tbh I don't think Solomon is on anyone's side except his own.

BUT the way NB talked there was different. And I don't think it's just because they were talking to Solomon instead of us. The way they talked quite honestly reminded me of the way Michael talked to us, or how Barbatos talks to Simeon in the past.

So my new theory is that Nightbringer is not a person but a group. A group Solomon is helping for whatever reason, most likely because we're involved. Nightbringer is the name of the founder of the Devildom and honestly I don't think is them who we or Solomon are talking to, but someone (individual or group) using their name.

Barbatos was hinted at during the first trailer, and in lesson 40 is made obvious he knows that we came from a different world/the future. As the demon of time, is obvious he'd know about us and possibly be involved in it, since is thanks to him that we time travel in the first game. But I don't think he's NB, that'd be a bit too easy, I think he and Solomon, and perhaps Michael too, are working together for some reason that needed is going to the past.

Sorry I'm just rambling perhaps I'll be more articulated in another post

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m probably trans femme/trans woman

Like I really do want to transition at this point. All of my euphoria/dysphoria points in that direction, far more than it does with me being non-binary, and when I see people on trans timelines, all I keep thinking is that, I wish I looked like them.

But I can’t really do anything about it until I come out to my family about it (as I currently live with them), and coming out as non-binary was hard enough. I only was able to come out because they were talking about being accepting of trans people and gender identities. And frankly coming out as NB is way easier, being non-binary is very fluid, there aren’t any major expectations of presenting, but if I want to be a woman, that requires some very explicit things I need to do/wear, etc, and its just really hard for me to know if people would respect that.

Also frankly the situation in the US/UK/Canada with genocidal rhetoric around being Transgender makes me very scared to even want to admit any of this to anyone, but at the same time. I’m not happy at all with how I look, present and identify so I feel I have to do something to make me happy eventually even if its risky.

I don’t know if another opportunity like that is going to come up. I think I could come out to them in like a family group chat, but only if I was living elsewhere. Just right now, my Autistic brain does not want to talk about this in person, even if I know they’d probably be accepting. I have a lot of social anxiety.

Just the uncertainty of how they’d react, and not wanting to deal with any arguments/pointed questions, judgement in person is stopping me from doing it now. Also I’m in a rural area with no local LGBTQ representation, so that’s difficult as well.

Anyways, bottom line, I don’t feel I can do anything about it now, but probably in the near future, I’m going to pursue transition, when I feel comfortable coming out.

Now thats done, some more stuff about just some general relationships people have with each other. Olimar and Louie when Louie first joined HF were pretty neutral about each other even after 4 but after 2 and deeply apologizing for leaving him behind scared, Louie and Olimar got much friendlier with each other. They started carpooling and even spending some time outside of work together. While Terry thinks Louie is cool if a bit strange sometimes, Lebe is rather more skeptical and scared of him. Penelope worries he might be a bad influence but can't help but worry about Louie as much as Olimar does when Oli vents to her about Louie.

Alph and Brittany are best friends but their relationship isnt the most balanced at times. Brittany is quite quick to getting emotional and blaming others for things. Alph tries not to hold it against her too much given hes aware of her issues and why she is like that in the first place but it can rub off on his timid nature. Though he admired Charlie all through 3, Brittany's negative comments eventually changed Alph's perception on Charlie to just being someone he works with.

Now some of my own world building brain rot wo! a time system, joy. I was just thinking about how do people keep time between every other planet so i propose: Galactic time. Galactic time is not based off anything but purely numbers. 1 "day" is 20 hours long and there is no PM or AM. Its based of a single founding clock that all the other galactic clocks follow now and is usually exclusively used for interstellar work and jobs or meeting up on different planets. The galactic months are all 25 days long with only 10 of them. a galactic week is 5 days long and though i don't have names at the moment the months and days also have different names as not to get confused with any planet names or calendars they might have.

Okay so- we all know how the au ends, so I wanna ramble a bit on how it started

Venti and his mom moved into town because Reasons (Istaroth may or may not be on the run from something and is trying to just live her life in peace) where Venti meets NB (name still pending) and the rest of his rebellion friends in canon

It honestly just plays out as much as you'd expect. Everything's fine until it isn't

So I still haven't worked out this part yet, but it involves a collapsing building and everyone being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I mentioned before somewhere that Venti came home all dusty and covered in blood that day and yeah this is why

And then the demon cat himself shows up offering a solution at the low low price of Venti's soul. Venti, being an impulsive 14 year old at the time who just found 2 of his friends dead and is riddled in guilt, takes it up

All the og 7 were already magical girls by the time they met. They all had their separate territories and never interacted until a few of them ended up coming across each other hunting a witch. Venti was the one to suggest they all keep in contact and one of them managed to get the last few into the group

Makoto taught Venti how to make paper stars and throughout the au, Venti is filling up a bottle with them that has the Seven's colors, though it never gets finished

Ei isn't a magical girl and never ends up as one, she's just a teenage girl with a naginata fighting horrors beyond comprehension

They think Venti's magic involves splitting because of how some of his attacks have him appear at several places at once. It's actually just the timeline getting messed around with a bit

Also, almost everyone thinks being around Venti makes them luckier when in reality Venti's just using magic to make things more convenient for his friends sometimes

Venti's witch form can completely regenerate from his familiars since they're also a part of him and could immediately manifest in another area as soon as he gets defeated, bringing the grief seed along with him. The fight would've been quicker with Venti's magic allowing everyone to destroy the witch at the same time but.

Missing persons cases went up significantly during the week the rest of the Seven were fighting Venti

Venti, Vennessa, NB, and Dvalin all go to the same school and sometimes have lunch at the roof. Their school has no rooftop floor, they're literally just on the roof of one of the buildings

Istaroth regularly swings a bat at Kyubey whenever the thing shows up near their house while Venti isn't looking

Zhongli is very much intimidated by Venti's mom, but he won't ever admit that

Venti knew about the witches but never told anyone until just before he became one

Nightbringer Theories & Spoilers!

I have a theory, that Simeon and Luke, or just Simeon are actually the ones we know from our present timeline.

If you have Solomon on the Home Screen, he makes a comment wondering why Simeon is in the Devildom and why Luke came along. Meaning he’s acting differently than expected.

This nods at is something I had been under the impression of, that Luke’s first time in the Devildom was for the RAD exchange in the OG game. Now, I’ve been replaying all the lessons, and I have to say they do seemingly already have the nickname of Chihuahua for him. The dialogue we get in NB where they decide to call him that doesn’t happening in the OG, so it is possible that this is actually Luke from the past… but Simeon, we know he can lie and deceive based on his actions in the OG game..

So, I think it’s a high possibility that this is present/our Simeon. The NB scene between him and Sol is raising alarms for this. There is also a comment Simeon makes to Solomon, something about knowing what he’s doing (aka monopolizing our time because he can now), which only further makes me believe this is our Simeon.

However if it is our Simeon, and not our Luke, why did he bring him? To maybe help give us reassurance from the sidelines? I doubt this for many reasons, primarily it’s just not feasible. However, if Simeon was going to the past, I know damn well that Luke would demand to join him.

One other thing to note though, I know Luke and Barbs got friendly pretty quickly in the OG, bonding over the love of baking, but it felt too quick in NB. I would believe if Luke was pretending to be like he was before, to then slip up in wanting to spend time with his favourite demon.

As much as Luke denies it, he is still a child and might need another person on his side to help him through this journey he’s taken with Simeon though time.

Plus if you think about it, both Simeon and Luke have become MC’s guardian angels. Would our guardian Angels truly leave us in the past without coming to our aid or to at least keep watch over us?

As for Barbs I’m like 99.999% sure he knows and is acting dumb. It would check out too, that if Barbs is acting like he doesn’t know and allowed the angels to come back in time, that he’d have them do the same. Obviously there’s the whole preserving the timeline thing to keep in mind, but he knows something much bigger and is staying silent because he knows the role that we will play. He can’t interfere with that.

Either because he is nightbringer himself OR, he works with/for/owes a debt to nightbringer.

But who is nightbringer?

I’m thinking either an upper Angel or a past demon King or something else.

Nightbringer asked if we knew the brothers in the unregistered text. Barbs would know if we know them if it were Barbs pulling us to the past. I just can’t imagine he would have restrained himself from looking into who we are, even just a bit, if he was a barb we never met? If he was being commanded to bring us back in time, he would need to know some basic info about us to feel okay with such a demand.

Which makes me ask a genuine question…

We know some demons are created from fallen angels, but what of the first demons?? Who created them? Because I’m also toying with the idea that nightbringer is the father of the original demons (and Barbs was the first demon he made).

Another thing about Barbs, it highly possibly with his powers, he has been waiting for MC to grow powerful enough to be brought to the past. After he and Diavolo discovered who MC is in S1, he must have seen this coming. He’s been watching, waiting, for our growth in order to come to this pivotal point in the past for some grand purpose.

Solomons involvement with the grand plan Nightbringer has eludes me but since he has a pact with Barbs I think it’s somehow related.

My final note that I haven’t seen anyone explicitly acknowledge yet, is the detail that the three brothers we first made pacts with, the ones we have had the longest and possibly strongest connection to, are the ones that come to our aid and believe us when Lucifer is hunting us down in L11.

nightbringer lesson 40 was bittersweet 🥲 the hard mode reunion felt indicative of something but we'll see.

spoilers but also not really but just in case under the cut

also this lesson more or less put lucifer in the forefront of my nightbringer suspects. i talked about having a theory about that months ago but i never got around to making a post about it 😵‍💫 the basic premise of the theory is that irl lucifer is also known as the light-bringer (morning star also calling to this, the phenomenon of a planet or star (most prominently sirius) appearing on the horizon before sunrise) so nightbringer might be a play off of this OR the fact that the moon's light itself is a reflection from a star (sun) etc etc i cant really explain the nuance of my thought process here LMFAO

anyways one of my biggest calling points that made me think of luci=nb again is that during the scene when MC spends time with him in his study, he gives an angel's blessing and the game specifically highlights the moment he says "now... and the future" (too lazy to grab screenshots i am at the airport LMFAO) and while yes it could have simply been an overall statement of him wanting MC to be happy always, something about the way it's highlighted AND the fact that he also talked about being trapped forever in cocytus if not for the fact he met MC made me think about nightbringer's motives.

anyways. so now the finalized form of that theory is that nightbringer is lucifer of an alternate timeline where he (and his brothers) never got to meet MC and thus he never fully escaped cocytus

anyways. what really made me think of luci=nb in the first place was nb's mentioned reason for doing it in the first place - happiness. literally. and what does lucifer prioritize more than anything? his brothers' happiness (and after meeting MC, also theirs). it's literally the foundation of his character. his pride doesnt allow him to freely say it but literally everything this guy does is bc he thinks it's the best way to both protect and keep his brothers happy.
