part one: love made me crazy

It happened too fast, you were always aware when outside the gate, more so after convincing everyone to let Negan come out searching for resources with you, just four of you scurrying about the woods for cans of food you'd never find. You'd never been one to volunteer, much more comfortable organizing things at home but you were losing your mind wondering about Negan in that little cell while were you on the other side with not even a second with him. These little trips were routine, always the same, a few stray walkers that were easy to take down, always finding nothing in the process but things got out of hand too quickly.

Stuck in a room with three walkers, no weapon, nothing but an overthrown cupboard separating you, and without even a second of consideration you called for Negan, pleaded for him and it was like a bolt of lightning struck right through his spine at the shrill sound. He'd never cleared a house so fast, not a care in the world for who was behind him, yelling at him for not staying close, he'd found a knife along the way and the zombies grabbing at you were gone within seconds.

"Y/n," you didn't register the sound, kneeled against the wall, shaking despite your best attempt at staying calm, blood on your clothes and you weren't sure it was truly over. Negan was slow when he moved the wooden frame away, it wasn't an easy task with the dead weight slumped against it, but he wasn't thinking, not a thought going through his mind other than getting you into his arms. "Baby," the gentle tone made you snap back to reality, tremored hands reaching for him before you could register the gesture. "I've got you," he promised and he bit back a surprised puff of air when you launched at him, taking him with you to the ground in the process, holding him impossibly tight as you lingered in his lap.

"You came," you mumbled into his neck, he was cooing softly, hand bushing up and down your back, your arms circling around his neck as you fought against any possibility that he'd let go.- he kissed the side of your head as a promise that he wouldn’t. "You saved me."

"Course I did,” he couldn’t believe your surprise, not that he came, it was more than that, it was revealing a weakness which was something he’d never dreamed of doing, letting people know there was something to hold over him and he couldn’t care less. “Baby,” the word felt foreign a second time, it was deliberate, laced with so many consequences and hidden meanings but he wanted to say it again, a thousand times just to taste it on his tongue. “You okay?” you were, he’d checked before you were in his arms, he had a fleeting moment to do so but the blood wasn’t yours and the scratches weren’t made by the dead, just from the struggle of trying to get safe.

“You saved me,” you pulled away, looking him over, you’d never seen that look before, the concern, the relief at looking at you, you’d always been the one to fuss over getting him an extra blanket or saving him some of your food so he stayed healthy, made sure no one too bad gets put on guard at his cell. He had his moments too though, and would worry about you being on the night shift, or dealing with some idiots letting their egos get in the way but at least you weren’t alone, there was someone to step in if you needed it, someone to keep you safe since he couldn’t. So seeing you like this, scared and seconds away from disaster, made something in him shift. A realization maybe, he was being reckless with you, putting your safety in someone else’s hands when they were more bothered keeping a gun on him than saving you from danger.

“You scared me,” his tone was soft, dipped brows over darkened eyes, the weight of the world drawn black in his irises and you hated being responsible for that. He’d grown hard before you, numb to such senseless emotions like fear and you didn’t want to be the reason he felt it again. You’d wondered if he’d be able to feel, truly feel, what you felt for him yet somehow knowing he could felt worse than thinking he couldn’t. “When I heard you screaming...” he shook his head, cupped your cheeks in his own shaking hands and your fingers were desperate when surrounding his wrists. “Haven’t felt that terrified in so damn long,” his hands fell to your neck, thumbs brushing hair away from the back of your ear.

“I’m sorry,” you didn’t have to apologise, he’d tell you as much soon so you interrupted his thoughts, nodding, pleading for forgiveness. “I didn’t mean to do that, I didn’t mean for any of this,” you didn’t mean to fall for him is what you didn’t say, he heard it even though you didn’t. “Of all the people, it had to be you,” you rested your forehead against his, he sighed, you bit your lip, if only words could describe it, if only the moment could last forever.

“Negan! Y/n!”, Carol’s voice was like a shock to the system, robbing you of your peace, forcing you right back into reality and after the gentlest, purest little kiss placed to you cheek, Negan jumped back, hands in the air in surrender as he stood up.

“In here!” he didn’t look away, gaze stuck on you, taking you in just one more time, making sure, slightly pleased with himself to see your breathing has evened out. “I’m going to change for you,” he promised and you swore your heart stopped, his hands now at the back of his head as if he was preparing to be cuffed. “I’m going to be better, baby, you deserve better,” he shook his head, agreeing with his words, his heart. “Please give me a chance to earn your heart?” you never thought you’d hear him beg, plead for you, your heart something he’s had for longer than you’d ever admit.

“You already have it,” you nearly whispered, footsteps coming closer. “You don’t have to earn it, .”

“Then give me a chance to deserve it, let me be good for you.”

Carol had her gun pointed at him as soon as she came into the room, too busy with him to even take in the dead zombies at your feet or the blood on your clothes, biased, priorities in place. Your priorities were far too different, flinching as she pointed the gun at his head while forcing his hands behind his back.

“He saved my life,” you blurted and the softness in his face was enough to give you whiplash, so different from how he’d looked at her, you were trying to make him human again, to them at least and it was almost as if he was pitying you for having to try so hard. “Carol, he saved my life.”

“I don’t care,” she bit back and your soul ached. “He’s still a monster.”

He’s not, not to you, a monster wouldn’t be kind to you, save you, a monster couldn’t make you fall in love with him. Maybe he was a monster once, maybe he’d changed, maybe he just allowed himself a little too much humanity with you and it ruined everything. You did love him despite all logical reasons, but you did also wish he’d change, not just for you, but for him too, for everyone.

There wasn’t a line he wouldn’t cross for power, maybe this line he’d cross for you, for weakness.

Hi...if you don't mind, can I ask something from SVSSS? What do you think are Shang Qinghua and Mobei-Jun’s greatest personality strengths and weaknesses? Why? What do you love about their dynamic? Sorry if you've answered these questions before.....Thanks.

Sorry for the delay! I first read this half asleep and was waiting to answer when I was more awake and then forgot but I really wanted to answer this

Shang Qinghua's biggest weakness is his self loathing

You get more perspective on that when you know Bingge was a self insert power fantasy and that Shen Qingqiu was meant to be very like Bingge as well.

The dude hates himself because of trauma and doesn't see anyway to change his miserable life partly because deep down he doesn't think he deserves a good one. That's why he's fundamentally unable to change the book on his own.

He hides his self loathing under a mask of not caring and only caring about himself (similar to a certain OG scum villian) because that's the only way he can live with what he did to survive and the people he hurt and his own hurt. By diminishing it

His greatest strength is he is actually extremely loyal. Like Binghe if you pour the slightest kindness on him he blossoms. Even when Mobei Jun was beating him three times a day he also protected him. And let's be fair how much did writing about Mobei save him in his first life? The only thing he created for himself.

The second greatest strength is his adaptability/flexibility. He can adapt and change to new circumstances like lightening (ha!). It served him well as an author who relied on his novel to eat and as Peak Lord of An Ding and surviving Cucumber's affect on the plot

Mobei Jun's biggest weakness by contrast is lack of adaptability. Yes he can adapt quickly in battle by using his shadows but he doesn't bother to learn about human customs until almost too late. He demands and doesn't know what to do when his demands aren't met.bHe is used to getting his way and just stone walls until he gets it. He's spoiled (by airplane) and it shows. He just moves in a metaphorical straight line and makes Shang Qinghua move shit out of his way

His greatest strength however much like Shang Qinghua is his unwavering loyalty. Once he is loyal he is loyal until you betray him. He is utterly devoted to Shang Qinghua and has been for decades. Unwilling to let anything happen to him.

His second biggest strength is well he is slow to adapt on his own he does pay attention and listen. He listens to Shang Qinghua tell Binghe that the way to a man's heart is being pathetic. He listens to his rant even as he yells back at the Ascension. He even picked up what Shang Qinghua was muttering to himself. He doesn't always understand or agree with Shang Qinghua but he listens to him.

What I love about their dynamic is the fact that it has the intensity that you would expect of a god and a king who have sworn undying loyalty to each other. But also has idiot to idiot communication AND old married couple vibes

They are intense but they have been together for decades but they were on completely different pages for most of it while also kinda being on the same page. They are the most unhealthy dynamic in the book and the most well adjusted ship in the book. They are such layered contradictions and I love how on the surface it's kinda fucked up because the power imbalance in that Mobei is a powerful demon king and Shang Qinghua is his servant BUT Shang Qinghua is literally this world's creator and made Mobei Jun specially as his ideal man so that kinda flips it

I also like that at the end of the Airplane extras you see Mobei Jun trying to be softer and kinder and give back to Shang Qinghua and you see Shang Qinghua being more confident and happy and asking for things. it shows how their dynamic can improve

thoughts on disventure camp e4:

tom and jake

seeing people complain about tom being a hypocrite for snarking at jake here and i agree that it is hypocritical. but i don't think it's bad writing (i honestly really like it?)

like. tom and jake are messy. they have no communication. they overreact to everything. that's like their whole thing.

idk why tom ghosted after the first season, or while he's continuing to be distant (and now, more openly hostile). this is because the show hasn't told us yet. i assume, given that it's only episode 4 and this plot is getting a lot of attention, that there will eventually be some explanation. it doesn't really feel out of character to me at this point, just that we're missing information.

also specifically the reason i like this interaction is because it makes it very clear that tom is also being shitty here! like imo that was clear from the very start with the ghosting and dodging confrontation stuff, but more recently the focus has been on jake's jealousy. and while i do think jake is being unreasonable as well, tom is not innocent. as before, they are messy!!

villians' alliance and elimination

first off: i so called miriam being out this episode. didn't know the exact context, but in order for the alec helping fiore plot to work long term she needed to be out of the picture.

i like that she played well here though. like she did exactly what she should have done in the situation and it just didn't work out. sad to see her go, but not surprised.

poor connor tho :( my man's all alone now. i'm hoping that with grett turning on yul (you go girl) that maybe he'll last a bit longer

also yet again reminded why i love alec as a player and a villain. he's so good at planning and thinking things through, and he's not just thinking in terms of his own best interest. man plays this game like chess.

like. the rest of yellow team would have happily let ellie or fiore lose and get booted despite the alliance. alec's main goal was to get rid of miriam, but at the same time he was proving to ellie (and less so fiore) that he was also looking out for them.

i also like that it's not working out as cleanly as he'd like. miriam exposing him may not have been a problem here, but it will be later. in s1 he was able to largely fly under the radar for a while, and now is having to change tactics.

other thoughts

aiden and tess made me smile :) i want them to be friends

like ally's apology and hunter's non-apology (and fiore's wtf response). i think ally's really sweet and i get why fiore doesn't buy it but i'm glad someone on this team was like "maybe bullying a child is wrong"

ashley's backstory :(

predictions for next episode

elimination is harder to predict because the teams are even again. i'm thinking yellow team again makes the most sense, given the inevitable fallout of the villain reveal and the vote for yul. my guess would be connor vs. yul (vs. alec?) and of those three i see yul as most likely.

(could also be connor but the letter from miriam might save him somehow; i'm mainly doubting that they'd take him out of the competition here bc that'd be pretty unsatisfying for the connoriya drama. kind of leaning this actually bc yul being betrayed but not eliminated could also be juicy.)

if it's not yellow team... i could see gabby on cyan, mostly through process of elimination. tom and aiden need to stick around for the drama with jake, ellie's got the villain thing, and tess hasn't really gotten to do much other than be stuck in the middle of things.

gabby also hasn't really gotten to do anything besides support ellie, but i wouldn't be surprised to see her go early- like with james and lake, it feels like her character so far this season has been more in support of another character, and the impact her elimination would have on ellie feels like the most likely plot direction for this team to take.

that said idk why anyone would vote gabby out at this point. but i digress.

i really doubt it'll be magenta. fiore and jake have their own plots happening that i doubt will be wrapped up next episode, hunter and ally's relationship feels like it needs slightly more focus and deterioration before either of them goes home, and ashley just doesn't really seem likely?

aside from elimination

jake's gonna be sad about miriam. i think tom might be too, but unclear how exactly he'll react. will definitely make their whole thing worse, because for some reason they decided miriam should hold the brain cell of their relationship.

yellow team is definitely gonna have drama: fallout from miriam telling everyone alec was untrustworthy, the whole situation with grett and yul's relationship, connor being the only outsider to the alliance.

not sure what else- hunter and ally might have some plot progression, but i think those top two bullets will be the main points.

also whatever advantage connor got will definitely come up- seen speculation that it's like the "make people switch teams" card riya got in s2 but idk how that would play out

About Clones

So I wanted to rant about the different kind of clones in Ducktales (I have nothing else to do right now)

1st Is the most obvious one: Gyro's clones

There is no actual explanation to how they are made, except that he has a clone spray. The why is also never actually explained (at least when they are first made, during the moon invasion he used them to increase manpower wether those were already existing clones or not). We can probably assume he mostly did it simply cause he can, but partly probably to protect himself (After being electrocuted by Gandra) and/or get more work done in the lab.

Important about the Gyro clones is that they are exact duplicates. With the exact appareance and memories the original had during the cloning process and even the same personality. This is probably the most important fact of all, especially cause it's Gyro. Normally ethical questions would be brought up of who is "the true Gyro", but since it's Gyro he (they) don't even care. This for once shows Gyros more clinical side of his personality considering science: "Doesn't matter who the original is or was". Furthermore it's a rare opportunity to just let it be a funny thing in the background, thanks to his personality.

the 2nd: Webby (YES just Webby, not May and June yet)

Again, we don't actually have any information of the how just that she is an exact genetical clone of Scrooge (Trans Scrooge canon cause Disney doesn't know how cloning works lmao), but from the context it was probably the process of creating an embryo, or egg in the case of Ducktales, with the help of some sciency tubes, maybe some donatet or artificial organs (Cartoon science y'know, I almost failed my chemistry class).

Basically: same DNA but own personality and memories unlike Gyro. Also artificially born through Herons sciencing, but physically grew up normally. The Gyro clones meanwhile seemingly just spanned, maybe the Clone Spray starts some sort of super fast mega meiosis to make the clones.

Last but not least: May and June

Yes, technically they are the same as Webby, and the first picture gives proof that Webby was "born" in a tube like that, there actually might not have even been an egg, just an embryo.

Important difference however: May and June are technically only a few weeks or months old, it depends on how much time passed between getting the sword of swanstantin and the series finale. As they were created with the help of Webbys DNA sample taken from one of her feathers (maybe it was Scrooges feather, I'm not sure anymore). This means that they were not only "born" through Herons tube embryo method, official name from now, but that they also had accalerated aging. This also gave them individual personalities but also affects them in terms of social skills, concepts ( mentally they are the same age as Webby still) and furthermore, not to forget being "raised" by a villian scientist.

To simply summarise:

Gyro: Clone Spray, super fast meiosis, copy and past

Webby: Tube embryo, normal aging, only genetical

May and June: Also tube mbryos, accelerated aging, only genetical, they are basically like Star Wars Clones

Question I'm asking myself now after writing this: If Webby is "April", does that mean there were three failed clones named january, february and march?

Author's Note: I saw this post by @rottenstyx and it inspired me to write this fic, apologies if someone has already written it. Also, sorry this took SO long to write. I'm always busy and I never managed to find the time.

Summary: With graduation just around the corner, the senior members of the pack will soon be leaving Beacon Hills High School. You suggest the entire pack take a road trip together and just do some normal teenager things for a change, but what happens when you take a break from hunting evil and go on vacation?

The end of the school year. It was that time of year again, that time of year that normally brought a sense of joy along with it. That time of year that you and the rest of the pack would normally wait for eagerly... But not this year. Because this year, it was your last school holiday before college.

You had two things on your mind. Firstly, an unforgettable time with your friends. You wanted to spend one last, villian-free trip together before the end of an era dawned, and the majority of you would officially end your tenure at Beacon Hills High.

Secondly, and most importantly, you had a college decision to make. A hard one. Your girlfriend, Malia, had been placed on the waiting list at Santa Ana. While you were on the waiting list at both Santa Ana and Stanford. However, in a moment of madness, when questioned about it by Malia, you froze and only mentioned Stanford. Why would you do that? Because Stanford had always been your dream school. That was until you got another dream, to go to the same school as Malia. It was all you talked about for the past month. Sharing a dorm, walking each other to class, coming down together for the holidays; and now you were split between worlds.

You walked into your room to gather the last of your things for the trip. You were all driving up to Lydia's family's Lake House for the weekend. You sighed as you packed some clothes into a suitcase when Scott walked in.

"Ready?".

"Almost".

"What're you planning on doing when we get there?", Scott asked curiously.

You paused, "...I thought we were just gonna hang out. Why? Is there some serious conversation you needed to have?".

"Yeah... With Kira".

"Right! She's taking a gap year to go on that Asia trip with her parents".

"...And I dont know what we're gonna do since we were supposed to go on all those campus tours together. I can't just do nothing for a year".

"But you also don't wanna be a year ahead of her".

Scott nodded his head, "What about you and Malia? You guys probably have some stuff to clear out since you're going to different colleges".

"That's... Not the only problem we're having", you said shyly.

"Meaning?", Stiles said as he entered the room.

"Well... We've been dating for a while now. And we've said 'I love you', but we haven't..."

Scott and Stiles looked on in confusion.

You sighed, "Y'know, we haven't... Done it yet".

"Ooohhh", they said at the same time.

"Yeah, you ought to have that talk", Stiles said.

"Oh, Please", you responded, rolling you eyes.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Stiles asked.

"You've had a crush on Derek for years and you haven't even talked to him about it yet".

"I have a pact".

"With?", Scott asked.

"Liam. I'll talk to Derek when he talks to Theo".

You and Scott laughed under your breath and Stiles rolled his eyes, "Can we go now?", He asked impatiently.

"Yeah, Let's get moving", you said as the three of you headed outside.

About an hour later, you all arrived at the luxurious cabin. You shuffled inside with multiple bags in hand and threw them inside an empty room.

"Hi!", A voice called out enthusiastically. You turned around to see Malia, with her arms outstretched, moving towards you. She placed her arms gently around your neck and gave you a peck on the lips.

"Hi", you said, as you kissed her back.

"How was your drive?", She asked.

"Fine. Where's everyone else?".

"Outside. Mason and Corey are starting a barbeque".

You walked outside, hand in hand, and found Mason had already set up the barbeque stand while Corey prepared the meat.

Later that evening, you sat on a fold-up chair and praised a hotdog, possibly the best you've ever tasted. "Oh my god, Mason what is in this?".

He smiled, "It's Corey's secret recipe".

You looked at Corey expectedly.

Corey put his hands up in defence, "A magician never reveals his secrets".

You laughed, took another bite of the delicious hotdog and noticed something out of the corner of your eye. On the edge of the dock, Scott and Kira were sitting side by side on the wooden platform above the water, engaged in a conversation; and it looked serious.

"I... Don't know what I'm gonna do next year", Scott said.

"What'd you mean?", Kira asked.

Scott sighed, "We were supposed to go on all those campus tours together, pick one and start the year together. Now you're taking a gap year... I don't wanna do nothing for an entire year but... I also don't wanna start a year before you".

Kira sighed, "Right... The Asia trip. It meant so much to my parents I didn't think about how it would affect... Us. Do you want me to not go?".

"Only if you don't want to".

Kira sighed, "But I do want to, Scott... But I also want to start freshman year with you... Together".

"...Are we gonna be together next year?".

"Yes! God, yes... I love you, Scott McCall".

"I love you too... So... What are we gonna do then?".

Kira thought for a second, then, an idea sparked in her head, "Come with me".

"What?".

"Come with me. On the trip, and we'll do the campus tours after. That way you don't have to spend a year waiting for me and we can still start freshman year together".

Scott considered the idea, then he smiled. A big, bright genuine smile. "Okay", he said, as he leaned forward to cup her cheek with his hand and kiss her passionately.

You couldn't hear what they were saying but you were happy they made up, and seeing them have the tough conversation they were avoiding made you realise there was a talk you'd been avoiding as well. You looked around for Malia but couldn't find her. Excusing yourself, you headed inside the house to look for her. You opened the door to the room you had kept your bags in, and at the very same time caught Malia exiting the shower; completely naked.

"Oh--Sh--Sorry!", You exclaimed as you turned around.

"*your name*, I'm fine with you seeing me naked", she said with a chuckle.

"I'm not"

Once again, she chuckled, "You're cute... What's up?".

"I... Wanted to talk to you about something".

"Okay then", she said as she waited patiently for you to speak, although an impending silence filled the air.

"Can you put a towel on please?".

"Ugh, fine"

You waited a few seconds for her to cover herself up. "You can turn around now".

You turned around and saw Malia wrapped In a white towel, folded neatly just above her breasts and her hair still slightly damp. "So... You had something on your mind".

"Yeah. I was thinking... We've been dating a long time...".

"We have".

"And I was thinking... Before we graduate. There's something we haven't done before that I think I'm ready to do... But not sure if you feel the same way about--".

"You wanna have sex", Malia says quite bluntly.

"Yeah", you say, with a hint of embarrassment.

"Why're you so nervous about this".

"Because I... I haven't...", You sighed, "I haven't done this before".

"You're a virgin?".

"Yeah".

Malia paused, and observed the situation carefully before speaking again, "You said you were ready", Malia said, with her big, brown, soul bearing eyes staring into yours.

"I am. I just wasn't sure if you were".

"I am", she says, with absolutely no hesitation. "So...."

"I don't know", you say shyly.

Malia leans forward and kisses you, then she leans back, and slowly, seductively, removes the towel and let's it fall to the floor. She's completely naked. "Now you", she says.

You start removing your clothes. Following her moves, you take them off slowly and let them fall to the floor, letting her watch and enjoy and allowing her lust for you to grow stronger. Soon you're both completely naked.

Malia leans forward to kiss you again, this time you place your hands around her waist and push her down onto the bed. All of a sudden, the door swings open and Stiles and Derek barge in, half naked and kissing each other.

"Stiles!?", You scream out.

"*your name*!?", Stiles responds.

"Derek!?", Malia exclaims.

"Malia!?", Derek shouts.

"WHAT!?", Derek and Stiles scream simultaneously.

"GET OUT!", You and Malia yell in response.

Embarrassed, Stiles and Derek stumbled out of the room. You sighed, "Maybe we should take this somewhere more private?", You asked.

"Agreed", Malia said desperately.

You both streaked naked out of the room and ran into a nearby closet. Inside, it was pitch black. Despite not being able to see a thing, you started again. You took Malia in your arms and, chest to chest, you started embracing each other in passionate kisses, earning small moans from each other along the way.

You felt a hand reach around your neck and pull you in.

Then a second one around the small of your back.

And then another one touch your leg.

"Wait, what?"

You turned on the lights and turned around to see that Theo and Liam, also naked, were also in the closet.

"Liam!?", Malia exclaimed.

"Malia!?", Theo shouted.

"We are NOT doing this again", you said with a hint of annoyance. You grabbed Malia by the hand and once again, streaked across the house naked back to the room you were in originally. You placed a tie on the handle for privacy before shutting the door. You knew you were going to be in there for a long time.

You woke up the next morning wrapped in the sheets with Malia asleep next to you. You leaned down to kiss her on the forehead. Her eyes fluttered and she smiled. "Good morning", you said, as you kissed her again.

"Good morning", she replied, and paused before speaking as if to say something emotional or meaningful "I was hoping we could do this for the first time before we leave. Since we're going to different schools, y'know?"

"Yeah... I know exactly what you mean", you say with a hint of guilt.

You walked outside, hand in hand, both with untidy hair and joined the others for breakfast. You noticed the twins laughing about something.

"Ethan, Aiden, What's up?", You asked. They both signalled for you to be quiet as Jackson entered the room. He had a magic marker moustache and goatee drawn on his face and yet still, he walked with his usual sense of self confidence.

"What's wrong?", Jackson asked as he noticed everyone staring.

"Nothing, babe", Ethan said as they kissed.

Everyone laughed under their breath and you heard a sound come from your laptop. You opened it up and noticed that there were two notifications from your emails. You opened them and horror fell upon your face as you read them.

An acceptance letter from Santa Ana.

And...

An acceptance letter from Stanford.

"Shit!", You exclaimed

"What was that?", Malia asked.

"Hm? Oh, nothing".

You knew this decision was going to be hard. Do you go to your dream school or do you go to school with Malia? Both would be amazing. In truth, you were hoping fate would make the decision for you by getting you accepted by one and rejected from the other, leaving you with no choice. Well, here you were with a choice, and you didn't wanna make it, but time was running out.

"Hey guys, I invited a few people over to have a party later tonight", Jackson said.

"Should be fun", Aiden says, with his arm around Lydia's shoulder.

"Nothing too crazy, Jackson. My parents will kill me if this place gets trashed".

"Relax, it's just a few people".

A few hours later...

Literally every 12th grader from Beacon Hills High is stuffed into the cabin. Loud pop music plays in the background as people dance and play party games.

At the dart board, your team needs a bullseye to level things up, and Isaac has been your shining star so far. He's hit the centre on 7 out of his previous 9 attempts. Allison's team watches on in anticipation, if Isaac misses, they win.

"Miss, Isaac! Miss!", Allison screams in the background.

Isaac turns to her before throwing the dart. "Sorry babe, nothing's making me miss this shot".

Allison lifts up her shirt and bra and reveals her breasts to Isaac. Drooling over them, he doesn't pay attention to board and throws the dart completely wide.

"NO!", you scream in despair as the other team begins to cheer.

The party went on late into the night as people played spin the bottle, truth or dare and beer pong. Alot happened but somewhere in the night, Malia kissed Lydia causing everyone to cheer. You were asked to tell the truth about when you lost your virginity, and when you replied "Yesterday", it was met with silence followed by uproarious laughter and Allison proved to have a surprisingly high alcohol tolerance.

The next morning, everyone besides the pack had left, and you were all just about finished cleaning up the cabin. When you were done, you threw the garbage bags aside and sat around a fire. "I've got the strong stuff!", Lydia says as she joins the rest of the pack with a bottle of Jager in hand.

"This is it", you say in a gloomy tone. "This is the last thing we do together before we leave for college".

The statement sends a ripple effect of sadness throughout the pack. An impending silence fills the air for more than a minute as you all reminisce about everything that's happened over the last few years. "To Beacon Hills", Lydia says as she takes a large sip of Jager and passes it along. Soon everyone has taken a sip of the strong alcohol and said, in various different tones, "To Beacon Hills!".

As everyone finished up their conversations, you pulled Malia aside asking if you could talk, and she obliged. "What's up?", She asked.

"Malia... I haven't been completely honest with you. There's alot I need to tell you, so... You need to promise to let me finish. This is important".

"Oh...okay", she says softly.

"I was on the waiting list for Santa Ana, but what I didn't tell you was that I was also on the waiting list for Stanford. I didn't tell you because even though I really really wanna go to the same school as you... It's always been my dream to go to Stanford. And I've just been accepted to both. I've made My decision...

... and I'm going to Stanford. Look, I know what they say about long distance relationships, but we're special, we can make it work--"

"--*your name*", she says.

"--Because if you think about it were going to be really busy with classes anyway, and I know you really wanted to share a dorm and I'm sorry--"

"--*your name*", she says again.

"--But I swear I'll come and see you every holiday and every time I'm free and I'll call you all the time as well--"

"--*YOUR NAME*!", She exclaimed, much louder than before.

"Yeah?", You asked, expecting the worst.

"I'm happy you're going to Stanford".

"Really?".

"Yeah... 'cause... I haven't been entirely honestly with you either".

"What'd you mean?"

Malia reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of paper, "This", she handed it to you and you unfolded it. It was an acceptance letter to Stanford.

"YOU GOT INTO STANFORD!?".

"Hey!", She said as she squinted her eyes, slightly offended.

"Sorry", you said with an apologetic chuckle. "...Why didn't you tell me?", You asked.

"The same reason you didn't tell me about Santa Ana".

You laughed, you laughed in relief and then Malia joined you, placing her hands over your shoulders and leaning her face closer to yours. "So... What're we doing?", You asked.

"We're going to Stanford, *your name*, and we're going together".

You smiled a huge, beaming smile of relief and pulled Malia in for a long, tantalizing kiss. You looked out into the sunset, unsure of what your futures hold, but grateful you get to experience it together.

The moment is interrupted by Stiles' police radio message, "We need all units available to make their way to the woods we have found half a dead body, I repeat we have found half a dead body, over".

Stiles raises his finger and opens his mouth to speak but is cut off.

"NO!", Everyone yells at once.

Naff! Naff! I finally read the last chapter of Song Fish!! Let me just start with saying that I am not normal about this chapter, not at all. There's so many things happening here that make me go INSANE in the BEST WAY!!!

I HATE (hate-love you know~) how Circus forcefully gives y/n air and then drag them underwater again. She's so insanely cruel. Treating y/n like they're nothing more than a tool. I love how you made her into just a villain. Part of me for some reason thought that she would be some kind of anti-villian who didn't wanna just straight up kill you for personal gain, but man I was so wrong! Djfkfjhfjr

The dread and hopelessness we're immediately thrusted into and have to endure through the first half of the chapter is so well done and sets the tone so well! The glimpses of hope through the living nightmare y/n is going through keeps both y/n and the reader hoping for all this to end, it was hard to breathe sometimes and I could imagine the absolute darkness so vividly.

The absolute terror of being stuck in a sunken ship at the bottom of the sea.. that's the most terrifying place to be. It's like being stranded in space. Y/n really got the iron lung experience huh..

The visual I got whenever Circus was in the air pocket was striking. The way she lights up the entire space and water below in red is terrifying and in ways beautiful. Her giant green eyes have been seared into my mind and retinas somehow, I can visualize them so clearly against the red glow of her body.

Her tentacles snatching up y/n, squeezing and tossing them around in this already claustrophobic space sounds like literal hell and how y/n tries desperately to wipe the slick slime from Circus' tentacles away after she's let them go makes me cry :'0

It's terrifying how she can manipulate and control y/n so easily. Mers have all the control over their humans, knowing that fact makes me melt more over how sweet and caring Sun, Moon and Freddy are (and also Eclipse♥️). Just thinking back to Vanessa now and how Glitch controlled her like a puppet... I'm glad Circus never got that far with y/n..

Freddy saves the day!!! Aw Freddy, he's so sweet c': and oh my god Gregory what the hell are you doing out there with so many broken bones! I appreciate your help immensely but DAMN!!

Oh man and here's the fight! HERE'S THE FIGHT!!!

No no!! It's not fair, Sun stands no chance even when fighting back! Circus is a coward for forcing y/n to tell Sun not to fight,, she has the power to make it easier for herself yes and it's smart of her to use that power, but man it's cruel...

I feel like I say the same thing every time, but the way you write fight scenes between monsters is always so spectacular, bloody and filled with so much anger and heavy emotions. I'm blown away every time!!

When Circus's jaws opened up and her face pealed back I had to stop and celebrate! I'm so happy you kept that terrifying feature of hers and used it exactly like I did with my drawings of her! I'm just over the moon that my weird design turned out to be accurate to the fic! XD

Thank god for Freddy being there to stop Circus. The glimpses of fright finally being felt from her is SO SATISFYING! She screwed up majorly by messing with this group of mers and humans, and finally she's feeling that regret and fear for what she's brought upon herself.

I try to imagine how much that'd hurt but it's impossible. To Circus the pain stopped once her neck broke apart, but for y/n it persists. To feel every nerve snap, the skin tear, muscles rip and spine break and then the fading of consciousness on top of it all. And have all that pain stay after you're supposed to have died from it.. yeah I have no way to describe it and no way of imagining how that must feel. ....I'm not surprised y/n fainted.. though I do believe it was something more than just a faint..

THEM!!!! FISHER AND ECLIPSE!!! IT'S THEM!!!!!!!

Oh I am not normal over our two y/ns meeting each other!! I screamed and cheered and nearly cried I was so happy to see those two again!!!

The way fisher is there to greet y/n and help guide them is PERFECT! And Eclipse being there too in his full glory, his beautiful red and orange colors against the bright white sky and dark star dotted ocean is striking. Absolute eye candy (which is funny to say cause it's writing, but you paint everything up so well so I can visualize it without any problems!)

I love this afterlife, or in-between life and death you've created, it sounds so peaceful and otherworldly.

Excuse me for a second as I scream into my pillow. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THEY TURNED INTO YOUNG VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES BEFORE THEY LEFT!!!! AAAAAAA MY HEART!!!!! I'M CRYING!!!!!! I love them so much,, fisher and Eclipse are so precious to me and I'm SO HAPPY TO SEE THEM AGAIN!!!

Yup, that's what poor Vanessa went through! Fisher Y/N thankfully never had to find out what a terrible mer could do with such a bond, but I wanted to explore that concept more, and who better than our fearful little Y/N trying to do their best?

BABE I'M SO HAPPY YOU LIKE THE RETURN OF ECLIPSE AND FISHER Y/N!!! It was one of my favorite scenes to write!

As for what the boys felt when Y/N was gone, it was a stark emptiness. The strict feeling of something needing to be there but wasn't. It was so out of place and terrifying. The boys were truly scared that they had lost their little seashell.

The next sailboat is a sloop as well! Y/N got pretty attached to that type hehe

Aizawa: Wolf quirk - #6 Pro Hero Luna

I internally groaned and grumbled as I moved silently through the alleyways. I had overheard Iida about confronting Stain but wasn't fast enough to stop him or the two boys that followed. I had let Shota know before following myself. I listened intently for any clue of where they were exactly.

"Once I find those boys..." A loud scream echoed and darted. I come to the open area. I saw Iida motionless on the ground with Stain standing over him. 

Without thinking, I shot forward as Stain went to strike. My claws and canines extended as I went in to defend Iida. Stain looked at me in surprise as I attacked. The scuffle was short but I got him away from the boy. But not before recieving a blow myself.

"Shit." I groaned. I pushed up to sit on my knees, holding onto the stab wound on my side. I could feel the blood dripping past my fingers. I looked over and saw Iida still laying on the ground. I tried to get up but fell back down. My arm gave out and my cheek hit the ground.

"Luna-san!" I heard Midoriya yell. I looked up and Stain was standing over me.

"You jumped in the way. To save this false hero-in-training." He said slowly, pointing his sword at me.

"Of course. Nobody deserves to die like that. Especially when they can't defend themselves." I panted. I pushed back up on a shaky arm. "Everyone has the right to defend themselves. And Iida is just wanting to avenge his brother, maybe not in the best way but he loves his brother enough to want to set things right." He stared at me for a minute in silence.

"You are an admirable person and a true hero." He lowered his sword. "I will spare you."

"Then you should do the same for them." I saw Midoriya and Todoroki running up. Black started to form in a ring in my eyes. "They are as much of true heroes as I am."

"Get away from her!" I collapsed back down and blacked out.

"Y/N!" I heard a distant calling. "Y/N! Please wake up."

"Huh..." I opened my eyes and saw a blurry picture of Shota. "Sho... I shit, it hurts." Pain was pulsing from my side.

"I know. Hold on for me." He cupped my face. He continued to talk to me but I was teetering on the edge of consciousness.

When I woke up the next time I was in the hospital. I could tell with the heavy alcohol smell. I looked around and saw Shota sleeping in the chair next to me. I reached up and brushed my hand through his hair. He stirred and looked up at me. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"You scared me." He whispered.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be." He shook his head. "You are alive. That's what matters." The boys came to mind.

"The three?"

"Battered and beaten but alive." I relaxed. I heard some commotion outside before three boys came in. They all looked nervous and sorry. I gave them a Stern look.

"What you did was stupid and small minded." I said. They flinched at my words. "You all could have been Killed. I would say you were lucky I showed up but I wasn't much help. Just because you wanted Vengeance for your brother doesn't mean you should have put yourself up against that villian... But I am glad you're alive."

"We're so sorry, Luna-san." They all bowed.

"It's alright." I said. "Just let this be a lesson to you not to rush in head first and with high, unstable emotions. You're all going to be great heroes but you still have a ways to go."

"Yes, Luna-san!" Iida bowed again.

"Thank you." Midoriya and Todoroki left first, saying they'll let the doctor know I was awake. Iida left after more apologies.

"Can you take over my class? They listen to you better than me." Sho groaned and I giggled. He leaned over and gave me a soft kiss. "You are taking a vacation after getting out. No arguments."

"Fine. Fine. There's a full moon coming up anyway. That will help with healing."

Hawks: Smoke manipulation quirk #8 Pro Hero Wisp

I was taking a break on a rooftop While on the phone with Hawks. He was back in his office. there wasn't much to the conversation outside our normal barter and flirting. I was in the middle of a comeback to him when movement and noise caught my attention.

"Babe? Are you there?"

"Yeah just a second." I got up and looked around. A quick flash of two figures on the ground caught my eye. One I recognized immediately. "Shit it's Stain."

"Stain!? Be careful! You could seriously..." I got a clear look at the other figure.

"And Ingenium's younger brother. That one from UA. Shit! I got to go!"

"Y/N!" I hung up and leapt from the building. I jumped and swung from fire escapes and ledges until I made it to the ground. I ran after them and found them with the younger on the ground.

"Stain!" The tall man turned toward me. There was an underlying fear of what this man could do. "Leave the boy alone."

"He is parading around, saying he is a hero. But he is not. I must put a stop to false heroes." He said plainly. "A true hero wouldn't be out for vengeance."

"He is a young man in a very emotional state after his brother was nearly killed. By you! I would be out for vengeance too if a person I loved was in a similar state. He's not a false hero, just a hurt child." Stain stored at me for a moment then lifted his sword.

"Then you must be stopped too." He charged at me. Before his sword could touch me, I turned to smoke. He skidded to a stop after passing right through me.

"I won't let you hurt him or anyone else." I set out a smoke screen and led him away. I sent out a few explosive smoke bombs before a green flash distracted me.

"Got you!" Pain exploded down my back.

"Wisp!" I fell to my knees, gasping. My eyes rolled back as I fell forward. The world was blurred out by the roar that took over in my ears. I opened my eyes in time to see ice fly by me before I lost all sense of time.

"Wisp-san!"

"Y/N!"

"It's my fault. I distracted her."

"Calm down kid. It's alright." I heard people talking but couldn't tell who was who. I felt warm hands moving me. "Come on, Y/N. Stay with us, with me, baby."

"Keigo..." I whimpered. I felt a kiss on the back of my head.

"I'm right here. You're safe." I felt the brush of feathers on my fingers. I latched onto them. "That's it. Hold onto me."

I blacked out after that. I woke up later to a dimly lit hospital room. The first thing I noticed was the bright red wing draped over me and that I was clutching it for dear life. I followed the wing to a dazed Keigo looking out the window.

"Kei." I relaxed my hand and threaded it through his feathers. I saw him shiver before looking at me. "Hi."

"Heyo." He said softly. He took my hand and kissed it. "Are you in any pain?"

"No actually."

"Good. They came and gave you some pain meds a little bit ago. So I wanted to make sure." He rubbed circles into my hand.

"The kid?"

"Kids actually. All three are fine. A little beaten up, but fine." He said. "Iida, Todoroki, and Midoriya. All from 1-A."

"Why am I not surprised?" I chuckled.

"You've been credited with helping take down the Hero Killer. The four of you are the talk of the town." He said playfully. His smile dropped though. "You really scared me, Lovebird. I'm glad you weren't hurt more than you were."

"I'm sorry Kei." I cupped his face. "You know I couldn't just stand by though. Even if it was the Hero Killer."

"I know and I'm so proud." He poked my nose."I'm just happy I was on the phone when you saw them. Hell, Eraserhead was happy to know you were there with his students too."

"I'm glad too but please tell me someone ripped those kids a new one for being idiots." He laughed out loud.

"Oh yeah. Eraser had a few choice words."

"Okay." I smiled before closing my eyes. I relaxed again while running my fingers through his feathers.

"Get some rast, baby." He kissed my head before nuzzling into my neck. "Everything is fine now." He tightened his wing around me. I signed in contentment as I drifted off to the sound of his breathing and the distant sound of three boys muttering.

hi!! i wanna preface by saying i agree with you, i just want to add one thing bc i don't want to make my own post or be perceived in any meaningful way

i feel like the nature of specifically horizon's dlcs is a direct continuation of aloy's story. frozen wilds was how we got truly introduced to the heph storyline and why we know we need to go after it, also introduction/context behind apex machines etc. when i first played forbidden west i was surprised that it took the DLC so strongly into account, which led me to believe it was meant to be a necessary step in aloy's story bc it didn't felt like exposition - it felt like assumed, already known information (which it would not be if you didn't play frozen wilds).

i also think that's what they were going for with burning shores. unfortunately, GG alienated a large portion of their playership by making it ps5 exclusive (whatever their reasoning may be, likely technological) - also the points you brought up about other reasons players can't get a dlc. I'm not saying it's a good model to base a franchise on, but that is the sense i got.

i have nothing to say about the shipping aspect bc it truly does not matter to the overarching narrative outside of hooray!! representation that is important for a lot of people!! shipping wars are stupid as hell. you're playing barbie with other people's characters, everyone, calm down

Yes I've gotten multiple asks bringing up the Frozen Wilds, but it only proves my point. So in that sense I still disagree with you and others. FWs is still not necessary to play. It adds dramatic context. But all of it's lore is still re-explained, admittedly to a lesser degree, in HFW.

Heph running wild is still reiterated via exposition during the plot of Forbidden West. Characters that were important to implementing the lore never make a return - CYAN is mentioned once in a dialogue wheel with GAIA. Aratak is a battle easter egg. Ourea is dead. Even Gildun is not an exception. His reappearance was EASTER EGGED in HFW and then he ONLY showed up in -- another DLC, which is again, optional.

I'm not making up rules here folks. This is how DLC works for any franchise. They can absolutely expand lore, tack on characters and important plot points but at the end of the day they are NOT necessary to play the main story. And will always be rehashed/reexplained for players who did not play the DLC. Or who couldn't.

That's one of the reasons they made up another Zenith that somehow escaped the final battle. Londra is entirely expendable as a villian. One off monster of the week special episode villain.

Look how hard Guerrilla pushed the Sunhawk comic, going so far as to include it digitally in an edition of HFW -- and still Talanah's entire quest retells the events of the comic via dialogue wheels.

Because ---- Guerrilla HAS to account for the fact that s o m e fans may not have read it and won't know what's going on. And every fan must be allowed to be clued in.

Mass Effect DLCs are another great example - and ME is even MORE open choice than Horizon is.

I completely agree with you that Guerrilla narrowed what it can do with Burning Shores moving forward bc of the ps5 exclusivity as well. For whatever reason they did it doesn't really matter the point is it restricts it's audience from playing.

I ALSO had an issue with the writing in HFW because it was written very very obviously to allow NEW players into the series. To START with HFW, not HZD, and not be totally lost. Even past the first cutscene, Aloy spends a ton of time rehashing events with old characters. I think 3 will play out much the same way. Because they have to develop it like that. Their goal as a company is to appeal to a large crowd of gamers, for money. Capitalism, they do not want their games to fail. Especially after queer clapback. So three will rehash undoubtedly the events of HFW, HZD AND BS. And that's a lot to cram in without forcing players to have played or make assumptions.

I have nothing to say about the shipping aspect either. Despite the many asks today for some reason interpreting my objective take on the nature of a DLC is an attack on representation OR the ship in general - i have zero issue with it. I will say yet AGAIN, i thought it was cute and enioyed the story.

That does not change the fact that a DLC is skippable, choices with Seyka were in a flashpoint aka optional, THIS IS NOT DENYING THE ROMANCE - but Aloy's reaction to it is different and would effect a player's game -- and at most I assume she'll be reintergrated in a fashion similar to Gildun. Because again, Guerrilla MUST account for the fact that THEY chose to introduce her in a DLC and thus people/new players will not know her or the story.

anyway! as promised to the few people who saw this post I was going to go into detail about this AU.

So! im sure you have spotted theres a size and obvious age difference between the turtles, Raph is 11, Leo and Donnie are 4 and Mikeys 1.5 in this au ( at least in the beginning, they will grow as the story unfolds itself)

So! onto the juicy fun bits, Raph is their parent, he was mutated first in Draxums lab and was the villians servant as he was too small to be a warrior, He was seven when Leo and Donnie were mutated, they just like him were too small to be warriors and had to grow, and since Draxum didnt want to raise two babies he handed them off to Raph and told him to figure it out and don't let them die or there will be consequences to pay, so, Raph took care of the twins. making sure they were fed, bathes and overall taken care of.

Mikey was the last to be mutated, Leo and Donnie were three at the time and Raph had just turned ten and was getting to be big enough to finally be a warrior for Draxum, to fight along side his "Father". Mikey was another failed ooze experiment as again, another infant. Draxum did the same thing he did to Raph as he did with the Twins, handing off the infant to be watched by his oldest.

about a year after Mikeys mutation, Raph is now eleven, the twins are four and Mikeys halfway to two Raph realized he will be fighting along his father soon, so, he takes his kids and he runs. he doesnt know what hes doing or where hes going but he runs away from the lab and way from the man who claims himself to be their father.

for starters, this will be a Fan fiction, not a comic sadly, not good with comics tbh. but the first chapter should be posted by the end of the day tomorrow at the latest as I already have the basic info for each chapter written down, just need to write it. idk how many chapters its gonna be, I wanna aim for 30, the bit you just got was the start and origin of the story, I want to focus and dive more into them growing up with Raph ( and maybe another character) Raising them.

- Chibs knows how to write a damn good cold open

- Dan's exit actually completely justified and really well handled (albeit extremely rushed); Yas's on the other hand is a bit more "k bye!"

- Janet Fielding is bad but Sophie Aldred is amazing

- this ultra HD is doing the CGI no favours

- Sacha Dhawan stop whispering! If I wanted to hear gross obnoxious mouth sounds I'd listen to Billie Eilish

-also this is the third time in the Chibnall era the Master has come back from the dead with no explanation

- sure, her final episode seems as good a time as any to give Yas her 'School Reunion' moment. It's not like there's much else going on

- I do kind of like the idea of the Doctor having to juggle three different episodes at the same time

- Sacha Dhawan is so annoying. It's just a shit Joker impression

- on the other hand, Ashad is a great villian and I'm glad Chibs brought him back

- and I 100% approve of the Bony M needle drop

- so the Master's plan... couldn't he have achieved the same result by just putting on the Doctor's clothes?

- I really hope the directors of the next era can put the camera further than a foot from the actors' faces

- the Fugitive Doctor has had about 15 minutes of screen time. Remind me what people love about her?

- and was Vinder's entire contribution to point a gun at the Master in one scene?

- Yas doesn't give a shit about seeing Graham again which is a shame because Graham is lovely and always has been

- the support group scene is sweet, even if it implies that the Doctor gave them all PTSD

- the regeneration is great. I've had my issues with Segun Akinola but his music here is beautiful

“Hide the drums (there’s fire in the sky)” latest installment of the Magical Marriage Ribbons-Verse, the Untamed Mega Saga, for which the author starandrea has been posting a chapter every day since May 31st 2020, so 805 consecutive days as of now without missing ONE. It boggles the mind. (I’ve started reading when the verse was ... oh I think about three parts in, I haven’t missed one too since then)

Last song: “The Greatest Show on Earth” - Nightwish, it’s my soundtrack for my daily yoga practice (no I am in fact not joking), so it doesn’t really count last leisure listening was the soundtrack of ‘Robin Hood - Das Musical’

Last series: Ooofff... ok, so many balls in the air at the same time. I’m watching “The Sandman” of course, as you do and loving it. Also “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” which is THE MOST(tm). Recently finished my rewatch and catch-up of “Manifest” and rewatched a couple of episodes of The Devil Judge with a friend who just started and that I got into it, remembering why I can’t be normal about those boys (and how delightful it is to rewatch with someone experiencing sth for the first time). Of course went down the magnificent and batshit crazy rabbithole that is Kinnporsche. Also, “Tomorrow” which is definitely my fav K-Drama of 2022.

Last movie: Day Shift - Fun and a nice remix of vampire tropes that you don’t really see on top of each other a lot. But it felt more like a set up to a movie trilogy I don’t know if it’s made enough impact into getting, so the premise might have been served better as a mini series? ...The Gray Man, which was solid and enjoyable and absolutely bonkers with how hilarious it was to watch Chris Evans have a ton of fun playing straight up, no holds barred, unredeemable villian. Ryan Gosling can stay... Ana de Armas is queen bee.

Currently working on: My last day of vacation :sob: and of course my WIP/plot bunnie enclosure excel spreadsheet (yes, I do not do things by half until I halfass writing them). Anyway, actual words or plotty thinky thoughts were put into:

- The Devil Judge a/b/o PWP (that has, so far, about 5k of set up and no porn) with a Jung Sunah made them do it scenario and non-traditional dynamics (yeah, idek...)

- Vincenzo Inception fusion - Jang Han Seo wakes up from getting shot to a curious set up of sleeping people around him (really really wanna write this one but the premise is so vast I’m afraid of flaming out again)

Him: ... I didn't find any sort of consistency in the story. Not a single character that rang true. This weird insistence that every leadership role be filled by a black woman is just just obvious pandering. Was there nobody around to advise the director? I guess not. I'm not big on super-hero movies at any rate. I like stories where real flawed people become heroic in ways that demonstrate an actual triumph over one's own limitations. Rather than just whipping up some new tech in a few minutes that transforms you into something far removed from humanity.

Me: Ramonda and Shuri are secondary characters from the first movie... How is it "pandering" for the mom, sisters, and wife of the hero to be the main characters in a story about mourning the hero? 🤔 As opposed to what? Surprise guest star characters that didn't exist before? Set the scene. 20-year-old woman is trembling in anger. She's a Science Hero, she knows so much about medicine. But she couldn't save her brother because he suffered in silence (the truth of what happened to the actor) and because she COULDN'T invent something on the spot to save him. And her anger keeps growing because she belongs to a religious community that she feels is only trying to muffle her anger with sentimental platitudes. Then add in a condescending, self-righteous anti-villian who is also talking over her. So, what do you mean, "pandering"? Why are you bringing up the sexes of the characters... Especially since it's not as if it's a surprise that his mom, sisters, and wife are women... I will ask you the same question I asked anyone who claims that something is racist. I always ask them what is the non-racist way to talk about the exact same topic. So I am going to ask you what is the non-pandering way to write the death of Superman if you don't want it to be told through Martha Kent and Lois Lane's point of view? Who else WOULD it be? Why?

Outside of that, the plot devices and strategy in the movie WAS very weak. Coogler can write good one-on-one action, but larger scale or more complex than that? Nope, not his forte. Step one: Dry out Namor. Step two: forget to confiscate his weapon. Step three: be surprised when he uses his weapon to escape. 🤣But this is an action movie using themes of political drama, so when you say how you prefer the hero to save the day, the answer still has to use action to develop the plot. Saying you don't "like superhero movies" doesn't give you a free pass to ask for a different genre to end the climax. Shuri used medical science and a clever trick to put Namor in a compromising position to force him to yield. When you are saying you would have preferred her to "overcome her limitations," in what way are you asking? Are you asking for her cleverness as a science hero to have been better executed? Or you asking this girl to kill a world leader? 🤣🤨

For Leon and Luis (Resident Evil)! Who else is it going to be, I haven't had much else inspiration beside those two lately lol

Luis never got his drivers license. Or rather, not techniquely. Growing up where he did, in rural don't-believe-in-modern-technology Valdelobos, who was going to teach him? Once he got to college, he could either walk or take the bus. Sure, he had friends teach him how to drive, and Sure, him and some other children were taught how to drive farm trucks at maybe too young an age (because prior to the cult taking over, they had to get supplies sometimes) but Luis never learned legally.

When he was on the run, he was very careful to never break any road laws.

In AU's where Luis lives, he moves to the states and when they set up an ID for him, they ask if Luis knows how to drive. He says yes. It's not his fault no one asked any details. So he drives around even though he never actually took a drivers class or passed any test.

And he would never, ever, ever tell Leon. Leon wanted to be a cop. I don't think there are a lot of things Leon would loose his cool over, but this is one of them. Driver's classes are literally there to protect other people from crashing in a metally, horrible death. And Leon, who's primary character trait is literally wanting to protect people, would loose his mind. It doesn't matter Luis is the just the most careful driver that's ever been. Its the principle.

Along the same lines as Leon wanting to be a cop, people head canoning Leon as a stoner makes me laugh. I think it's because they look at older versions of him and assume personality wise he smokes (which is still fun, btw).

But look at this baby. Resident evil 2 Leon has never broken a law in his life. This guy still thinks weed is a hard drug. He would leave a party if people were drinking underage. I don't care if he was only a cop for one day before that illusion got shattered, he doesn't touch a joint until he's at least 25. (You can convince me RE4 Leon smokes though)

🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Back when I was actively writing my gravity falls fic monster falls, I had a wonderful idea to have a chapter set in town. I thought it would be cool if I had readers send me their OC's to fill up the background. I will. NEVER. do that again. It was fun, but that fic was so popular I got so many submissions and so many monsters I had to research to describe properly, because god FORBID I not research every monster people sent into me. Werewolves and shark mermaids were easy. But some of you..... some of you beasts (said with love) sent me the most obscure fucking folklore. To this day I know one of them had to be from an anime I still don't know

People who just sent me there fursonas and called them were-whatever animal still make me smile

🍦 ⇢ name three good things about a character you hate

God damn you. Fuck. Okay. I don't usually hate characters (dislike? yes, but they usually fit well in their world so I don't hate them) so I had to dig into the recessive of my brain for this one.

This is Sentinel Prime from transformers Animated. I haven't watched this show in probably... ten years? But I fucking hate him. Seethingly so. I got angry writing this. I hate him.

Great antagonist. Show sets him up as an annoying glory hound and makes the audience believe he will likely be due down the line for a redemption. Instead, his power hunger drives leads him into becoming a literal dictator being puppeted by the actual primary villian of the show. Don't be fooled- Sentinel is just as much a powerful antagonist in his own right. In my opinion, part of the reason Transformers Animated is remembered so fondly is because characters like Sentinel starting as irritating but almost allies. The irritating tendency to lie and cheat is treated as a character flaw and nothing more, and it ends being the very thing that throws their planet back into all out war.

Consistent. In a flash back, Sentinel ditches series protagonist Optimus and charcter Elita in the mines when they get attacked. Upon finding out Elita survived, albeit disfigured, instead of being relieved, Sentinel calls her gross to her face, even though his actions (or disactions, really) are what left her that way. For a second I thought this was going to be his moment of self reflection, but it absolutely was not. He's so buried into believing his own false retelling of the past he doesn't comprehend any of this as his own fault (at least, not out loud). And honestly, it's a great move. The writers really commit to the fact the Sentinel makes up his own truth, and once he does, he does not relent.

A very fitting critique for military nepotism babies? This was something that I didn't fully grasp as a kid, but as an adult looking back, the animated team really did a great job on Sentinel. He rose through the ranks through nepotism, making others take the fall for his mistakes, and funding war criminals to move him ahead; and it worked. The series was sadly cut short before their final season due to licensing issues, I would have loved to see the end of Sentinel's arc.

🍅 ⇢ give yourself some constructive criticism on your own writing

To start using an outline and then actually use the outline. But I should be realistic here. I think I would benefit from shorter piece lengths. I feel like I focus so much on the actions I want characters to take that I miss out on the opportunities to really describe feelings, environments.... sometimes, things just feel flat. My personal goal this year is to focus more on descriptive language and not just direction. Maybe now that I wrote that down I'll hold myself to it...?

I have downloaded the first 63 Daredevil comics (so all of Stan Lee's run plus some of Roy Thomas, I think). I have been slowly reading through them over the course of the month (largely because I want to commit to reading them since I downloaded them, and also because I have been very bored and don't know what to do half the time). I do have some random thoughts based on what I've read.

What I've read so far has been the first 20 issues, then issues 42-50. I'm saving the Mike Murdock issues for the very end, since those seem interesting (the identity crisis of having three identities alone is fascinating and could have probably been explored for an even longer period of time). Anyways, some of my thoughts:

• I like the Villians. Those villians may be bizarre, but they're fun. The Owl? Stilt-Man? The Jester? You can't tell me these aren't fun characters. Odd, sure. Weird, definitely. But boring? No. Why didn't Stilt-Man take off like Doctor Octopus, I wonder? Their abilities aren't too different. There's some similarities with the leg powers there.

• I think everything could have been resolved if he had just given up his identity. One thing I like about the Fantastic Four: No secret identities. That's a level of honesty no other hero seems to have. Pretty much none of the original Avengers were open about their secret identities, which I think is awful. At least tell those you're close to! They deserve that level of trust! The fact that Daredevil always found new excuses not to share his identity feels a bit dumb, if I may speak super bluntly. Still good comics, I just don't like that. When I finish reading at issue #63, I'm probably going to pretend he told everyone. Also, I'm going to pretend the supporting cast never changed. Because I hate changes. Especially after we've had the same supporting cast for 63 issues!

So these were just two thoughts I needed to write down. Hopefully someone sees where I was going with these thoughts.
