synopsis: Choso spends the evening learning about the effects of alcohol, talking about his life goals, and gets his first kiss - all in that order.

Choso quickly learns that alcohol brings out a side of him that he's not proud of. He's not careful with his words, not careful with his actions, and not careful with his emotions. That's why, he's glad that he's currently drunk out of his mind around you.

"I..." his voice starts wavering, head groveling against your kitchen counter as he fails to find grip around the glass of whiskey. "I don't think I deserve anyone..."

Oh no. Internally, Choso feels himself cringe but he knows he can't stop now. The oversharing has begun.

"I'm still trying to figure out how to properly live as a human," he feels himself choking on incoming tears as he thinks back to Yuki's last words. He pauses to control his breathing, only continuing when he feels the warmth from your hands rubbing the back of his shoulders. "I can't forgive myself for what I've done and I don't expect anyone else to do the same."

"Hey," you gently call out his name and brush away some of the matted strands sticking against his forehead. Choso is positive that he's sweating up a storm by how hot he feels thanks to the alcohol. "I don't think you really knew what you were fighting for. You were manipulated, used, and then tossed aside by your own father. It's shitty how everything happened but you're doing the right thing now."

Choso hears your words, appreciates them dearly to his heart, but he's too wasted to actually say anything coherent back. He hums absentmindedly and says what he thinks is a 'thanks'.

You take a cautious peek at the man and smile. His scar pop out so much more when the rest of his cheeks are red, you find it hypnotizing and a bit adorable. Mostly adorable. Whatever. You're both drunk.

"Let's pretend that you're not a century old half-curse for a second," you continue after a minute of silence from counting his lashes, losing count, and restarting about five times. "What would you like to be now?"

Choso blinks, finally raising his head up from the counter and gives you a teary look. "I don't feel like a curse when I'm around you," and then, he quickly adds on, "or Yuuji, or the others."

You laugh at his answer before sliding your body out of the barstool, stopping only when half of your body is on the floor and the upper half is leaning against his legs for support.

You hear Choso calling out your name anxiously. "...Are you okay? Should I get someone—"

"You're making me melt," you crane your head up and you're not sure if this is from the drinks, the dim lighting from the shitty lightbulbs in the ceiling, or if Choso has always just been so pretty. You feel like you could drown in his eyes with how much tender and vulnerability he's allowing out. You bump your head against his legs, giggling and letting the alcohol take over. "You're so genuinely sweet and self-sacrificing, I think you deserve the world."

Choso begins to chuckle in return, although not as enthusiastically. He feels the need to have some control or else he'll really set himself loose. "I appreciate you, too."

You raise two thumbs up. "Back to the game – what would you be doing?"

Choso thinks about it way too hard. Maybe it’s the alcohol already making his brain go foggy. He sips some whiskey again, but his motions sluggish and messy that he ends up spilling some of it all over his face, making you howl with laughter as he rushes to wash his face.

That makes him feel slightly better. Not too drunk. Not too warm.

You're still on the floor, laughing. Choso finds some confidence and nudges you with his foot and, instead of sitting back down on the barstool, he joins you on the floor.

"I would probably own a coffee shop," Choso muses. "The ones with cats roaming around. I've seen a few from the movies that Yuuji showed me."

"Ooh, somehow that fits you!" You're giggling even more now. Just the image of him, a big grungy man with a kitten themed apron tied around his waist, is almost enough to make you swoon. Almost. "Can I be the barista that doesn't actually do any of the work and spends all their time hanging out with the cats?"

Choso smiles amusingly. "Only if you're okay with me joining in."

He’s redder now, and Choso knows this is the alcohol. He would never be this bold with you, or with anyone really. You get up on your knees and, before Choso asks you where you're going, you hover over him, caging him between your limbs.

"I want us to have senior cats," you're leaning in and, wow, he feels his brain short circuiting right now. "And I want the cafe to be by the ocean."

"Isn't this supposed to be my dream?"

"Hey, it can be both of our dreams too!"

Yeah, you're both super drunk.

A grin spreads across your face as you lift up one hand and begin stroking Choso’s cheek with gentleness. Choso shivers a little. He’s not sure how to react, because he’s frozen, staring up at his beautiful—beautiful?—friend who's currently on top of him looking down to his eyes like he’s the most precious thing ever, and Choso feels like dying a little. He’s also a bit short of breath. He’s a bit short of everything right now.

You're giggling again. You're so close, the mix of your perfume and the alcohol tickles Choso's nostrils, and he's trying so hard to resist the urge to pull you down and kiss you.

Luckily, you've read his mind and finally lean in, capturing his lips. And it’s all so familiar and strange at the same time, as if doing anything with you is as easy as breathing to him. Choso immediately finds himself kissing back. He hesitantly brings his hands up and finds home around your waist, relishing in how soft your body feels and how your lips are now easily his favorite thing in the whole world. You break away from him and begin peppering kisses across his jawline, down to his neck, his shoulders—

Choso's dead right now, but he also feels alive, and he feels like floating, and god he is so drunk right now.

He chokes out your name, and it’s all he can say. No other words come out. He just hopes your name is a good sign to let him know how wrecked he is right now.

He mutters your name over and over again, getting you to laugh against his neck, and Choso is feeling a mix of ‘this is too much’ and feeling like he needs more. You get back up, giving him one more kiss – slow and gentle – and then pull away.

You lend him a hand, and smiling softly as you pull him on his feet, quick to hold him against you when he’s too drunk to move. "Hey, are you feeling better now?"

And Choso just nods because he can’t trust himself to speak.

"Perfect," you grin and throw one of his limp arms over your shoulders. "Let's get you to bed then."

"You're... You're staying here, right?" he asks before he can stop himself.

"Cho, you're in my apartment!"

Right, duh.

He doesn’t really focus on the journey to your bedroom, since he's too hyperaware on how close your bodies are and how he still really wants to kiss you, but he won’t.

Somehow, you manage to pull him into your bed. It's nice, smells just like you, and the throbbing and warmth in his body starts to calm down just a little.

"Y’know, Cho," you begin, yawning. "We can do this anytime you feel overwhelmed."

Choso frowns. "Talking?"

"Kissing."

Choso is dead.

i don’t have an exact date but can say i started shipping borusumi when i first read the chapter sumire confessed her feelings. idk i was just like “okay girl go get your man” lmaoo😭😭 it was just like “okay, she likes boruto. good for her !!” and i started rooting for sumire since then

(not to mention the conversation he has with her in the chapter before that)

i watched the anime way after starting the manga and the first arc having boruto and sumire and how he saved her was nice to see. but idk how canon the anime is anymore since they said both the anime and manga are but then the anime made sarada a chunin and the manga said she’s still a genin so oof

also the novels!! again, no idea how canon they are but there is one where it says boruto never shows his tears in public but when he found out sumire was in the hospital cuz she got hurt, he cried and showed his tears in public. then there’s another novel where it says himawari likes some idol, lily, and she tells boruto how cute she is and boruto doesn’t care for lily but he thinks her eyes are a pretty color. lily is described to have violet eyes. that made me even more obsessed with borusumi sksk

then there’s the manga chapter where eida asks to speak with sarada and then said to bring kakei and boruto questioned it. it was only when eida mentioned sumire that boruto reacted. boruto himself relayed the message to sumire. we see them speaking and know they’re friends. once they went in the room, he asked if they (sarada and sumire) were gonna be okay. it’s little details like those that matter ♡

then omnipotence happened. everyone’s memories about boruto and kawaki switched. no one knew what was going on, but it was sumire who told sarada what occurred. she didn’t have all the facts, but remained levelheaded

her first instinct was to help boruto

and we all know what happens after. sarada asks sasuke to help boruto. basically what this shows is: without sumire, boruto would be dead. everyone was just out to kill boruto (cuz they think he’s kawaki), but he’s innocent. both sarada and sumire know this. sumire didn’t know how to help him, but her first instinct was to do so. it was thanks to her intel that sarada managed to snap out of her crying and get her to listen and that’s when she asked sasuke to help him. in other words: sumire literally saved boruto’s life

we see in chapter 1 of the time skip that sarada and sumire are still trying to help boruto and break omnipotence. she’s shocked to see boruto when he appears out of nowhere to save sarada from code. sumire doesn’t make an appearance again until chapter 5, which just dropped a few days ago. we see she gets information from amado regarding omnipotence and his memories and she relays this information to sarada. she’s basically still trying to find ways to combat eida’s ability to help boruto. now we wait for chapter 6 to drop to see what more is in store for this manga. i wanna see how this pans out since boruto doesn’t even know sumire is unaffected by omnipotence. in his mind, he only has sarada, so let’s see what happens next

sorry if this got too long and it doesn’t answer your question >.< but this is basically why i started shipping them and why i continue to ship them. sure, it’s easy to disregard the ship cuz we don’t see boruto and sumire interacting much, but their moments are there. they aren’t meaningless. sumire loves boruto. this has been confirmed many times now and she’s doing what she can to help him break omnipotence

GT may not be great, but one thing to give it credit for is that its Goku isn't severely autistic like the one in Super.

First of all, being autistic ain't a bad thing. I'm not diagnosed, but with how I interact with people and how I do things? People who have raised autistic children ask me if I'm autistic. There is a spectrum to autism. Like with me, (if I do have it) I'm praised as a super good public speaker & I'm a talkative guy when I know you well, but I dislike talking to or in front of people. I have repetitive movements, I don't like making eye contact, I like to be alone, I have unusual eating & sleeping habits, I have to ask more questions than others to understand things when other people say its simple. Do I have autism? Probably so or perhaps not. But, I don't feel the need to be diagnosed, because this is who I am regardless if I have autism or not & I have to navigate the world the best I can either way.

Autism isn't a bad thing. It just makes interactions and a few other things difficult because other people aren't patient enough and don't want to understand what they deem as "abnormal."

(Idk if you were saying having autism is bad or not. I'm just making a statement.)

Now when talking about GT Goku & Super Goku... you mean the same GT Goku who was turned into a child & behaved like a child despite having the mind of a man in his 50's?? The one who thought it was a smart idea to try to swallow a Dragon Ball??? Yeah he got lucky it turned out well, but he nearly killed himself as a SSJ4 trying to copy a monster. Talk about a dumb move and careless. If Super Goku is "severely autistic" then, I'll take that Goku over GT Goku any day of the week.

I think ppl forget how Goku behaved in DBZ. Folks remember him inaccurately. Goku was silly at times when he should be more serious during the Saiyan Saga, the Freeza Saga, the Cell Saga, and especially so in the Buu Saga. With Super taking place after the Buu Saga, the way Goku behaves in the DBS anime continuity makes sense to me. Especially when you think about how Goku's new level of power makes him careless (something Whis warned him about) as well as him being friends with two of the strongest godly beings in the universe, Goku's behavior makes sense. There are times he is played up to be extra silly for comedy (that doesn't always work) but those extra silly moments aren't the only thing that defines Goku in Super. But that is what ppl use when comparing him to GT Goku. They unfairly ignore all other aspects of Super Goku.

As for Goku in the DBS manga continuity? Now THAT is bad writing. Toyotaro takes moments from Goku that he had in the DBS anime and gives them to Vegeta in the manga. Example; Goku's family come hug him & Vegeta's family goes to Vegeta in the Future Trunks arc of the anime. In the manga, Goku sits there while Vegeta's family hugs and cries over Vegeta. Toyotaro takes away from Goku to make Vegeta look better by insulting Goku's intelligence and making it seem like Goku doesnt care for his family. The worst Goku imo may be the Goku in the DBS manga continuity. (But the DBS manga has the worst versions of most characters tbh.)

Also, there are some really cool scenes in GT. Its just that I strongly dislike most of the character portrayal & plot execution.

Repost: Just Something I’d Like to Say About Jimin

Because of the tone of asks I’ve gotten recently from ARMYs I assume (?) are worried Jimin stans. This is a completely unplanned post and written almost entirely off the cuff.

I’ve tried but I really don’t see what those who fret about him or care enough to type non-stop about how untalented, evil & worthless he apparently is, see.

Despite people who claim Jimin craves attention and blah blah blah, Jimin has always just kinda done his own thing. Acted like a slut when he wanted to. Acted like a hermit when he wanted to. Acted like a hyung when he wanted to, to every other member. Acted like a brat when he wanted to. Acted like a calculating Slytherin libra when he wanted to. Acted MIA on social media when he wanted to.

Here’s how the guy spends his time:

He goes to the dentist.

He dances barefoot.

He stays up all night watching movies and playing video games.

He reads manga, manwha, and manhua. Apparently a lot of it.

He runs 8 km every day. 8 km. Every day. That is marathon-level training (42 km).

He visits museums and apparently buys art almost as frequently as Namjoon does, according to a well known Korean curator.

He eats out.

He lies down on the couch wishing it was possible for someone to bathe him

He falls asleep on the couch

He visits friends. (Can we someday have a conversation about how cool Ha Sungwoon is? Listen to Can’t Live Without You here)

Apparently since he has nowhere to go during the pandemic, he’s stopped shopping for outfits, now he shops for sweatpants.

He makes music with J-Hope.

He works out. Does CrossFit with Yoongi. Works out with Jung Kook. 

He prepares for his online and in-person concert on March 10th - 13th.

He visits resort destinations like Jeju.

He listens to music.

He continues with his full time job as an idol.

He has sex. (please don’t ask me for a source on this one)

hello!! can i request headcannons (or oneshot or scenario idk) with iida x reader. so, iida and reader are childhood friends. when they were playing in one day it turn out into "wedding"(they were only playing it but they even had heart paper rings) and confessed to each other. one day, in ua, they mentioned it (maybe the class was just remembering some nice memories) and the class thought it was very cute (it would be nice if iida and reader were together). thank you!

You could still hear the gentle chirping of birds accompanied by the feeling of the sun against your skin and the echo of your and Tenya's laughter. The pitter-patter of your feet hitting the soft ground below as you chased after him in the safety of the Iida Estate backyard.

You often cringed when you thought back to how the adults would gawk and comment how adorable you and Tenya were when you played together as children. You were almost surprised Tenya's parents didn't arrange a marriage between the two of you.

Even as a child, Tenya would constantly remind you to be careful. The most memorable moment during your childhood was the day that Tenya and yourself decided to 'get married' using heart paper rings that Tenya had made himself. "I do believe this is the appropriate finger to indicate that one is taken and otherwise happily married," he said as he slipped the piece of paper jewelry over your finger. "I...hope to make you feel such happiness always as I...like you very much Y/n, will you be my spouse one day?"

"Awe, that's so cute!" Ashido shrieked when Tenya had finished telling the story of the day you two had decided to exchange childhood vows. Thinking back, you couldn't recall how you responded to Tenya's question all those years ago. But, you held the same feelings towards him and found yourself feeling happy that you and your fellow classmates were speaking about cherished memories from the past.

Tenya, while not a man of many secrets, never told you that he kept the heart paper ring from that day. He considered it good luck and a constant reminder of his feelings towards you. well, let’s actually get into it

so it begun when gojo had also began to take care of [name] after both of their parents (or parent) had died when they were six, a couple of months after he started taking care of the fushiguro siblings

they got along with tsumiki because she was nice and friendly, but megumi was a different story

and over those years, [name] finally learned two things

one, they understood how he was— the way megumi thought, why he would do certain actions, and also the way the fought

two, they learned how in love with him they were

the way [name]’s heart skipped a beat every time they got a good look at him, how they think about him before bed, how they want to hold his hand

god, [name] was so in love. and trust me, they weren’t the only one

megumi found himself falling for [name], he had been falling for them for a long time without even noticing

they were there for every birthday, every graduation, and just any important events for both him and his sister

specifically, they were there for him when tsumiki was cursed

“i won’t leave your side, i’m here.”

Pulling the large sun hat tighter on her head, (Y/n) looks over as her leader strolls up to the van Spinner had stolen earlier in the day. She quirks a brow at the man, putting a gentle hand over his handheld and pushing it down when he doesn’t notice her, “That’s what you’re wearing?”

Tomura huffs and steps back, narrowed eyes focusing on his black jeans and hoodie, “What’s it to you?”

“You’re wearing a hoodie in this heat, first of all, and also - it says ‘12 year old in gaming mode’, you’re asking to get bullied.”

“Yeah, well,” he grumbles as he tries to find an insult for the woman before resigning himself to mumble out a, “you look like you raided a college chick’s closet” while returning to his game.

“I think she looks great!” Twice piped up from inside the large van before yelling once again, “Absolutely hideous!”

Dabi nodded slightly from his window seat, pulling the strings of his hood so as few inches of his face as possible were showing, “I agree with him.”

“Which part?” (Y/n) crossed her arms, shooting the man a glare.

“Yep.”

“Dickface,” she hissed, reaching up to swat at Dabi’s arm through the rolled down window before turning to climb into the van, “A dickface who is also wearing a black hoodie in this heat. You two are actual nutjobs.”

“Van’s got AC,” Dabi shrugged off her concerns, still not even looking her way as she settled into the seat between him and Twice, “Didn’t know you cared so much, doll. Pretty sweet of you.”

“If you pass out from a heat stroke, I’m not the one taking you to the hospital,” she leaned over into the midrow seats of the van to glare at Tomura as he sat down, “That goes for you, too.”

“I’m not the one with a fire Quirk.”

“Just get Himiko some blood and she’ll take ‘em in all disguised! Let them die!” Twice pitched in with his own ideas, earning a shoulder pat from the woman.

“Nobody’s dying on this trip, what the fuck are you guys talking about?” Spinner already appeared exasperated with the group and he’d barely been in the car for a second.

Compress got into the passenger seat as Spinner buckled into the driver’s side, he looked around before noticing an absence, “Where’s Toga?”

Suddenly, the door to Tomura’s seat is lugged open with a force, an overly excited blond teenager jumping over her boss and into the open seat beside him.

“You could’ve just gotten in on the other side,” Tomura clenches a fist to keep himself from slapping Himiko’s arm and causing a deathly accident.

“I didn’t know which side you were sitting on, so I just guessed!” Himiko giggles as Spinner starts the car.

“Asshole,” Tomura shakes his head, “This trip is pointless.”

“Kurogiri wants us to bond and stop fighting all the time,” Compress cuts in, “That’s why I’m in charge.”

“We’re adults- " (Y/n) interrupts herself, “Dabi, roll up the window, we’re pulling out of the safe zone.”

Dabi merely keeps his eyes closed behind his sunglasses and presses his head back against the neck rest of his seat.

“I hear ya, man!” Twice shouts before shaking his head, “Dabi, be nice to (Y/n). She’s your elder.”

“By a fucking year! Man, fuck you, Dabi,” the woman reaches over and presses the button to roll up the window herself, “Motion sickness or not, you don’t get to be a douche.”

“It’s actually exactly what it means, doll. Sorry to burst your bubble.”

“Ugh,” he grins at his own upcoming remark, “the princess makes a harsh demand.”

“Here,” he reaches up and takes her fingers and clenches them together, “now you have to. As soon as we get to the beach, you have to fight me or else you’re a coward and a liar.”

“Perfectly fine!” he shakes his head before whispering, “I didn’t piss before we left and now I regret it.”

“Aw, want Spinner to pull over?”

“I think he’ll crash the car if I ask.”

“He’d be killing himself too, so I don’t think he’d be too cool with that.”

Twice quiets down as he notices the woman’s eyes beginning to flutter shut with drowsiness. Then, a sense of guilt beats at him as he sees the serene expression crossing his friend’s face. So calm and sweet - he truly adored his friend, and he wanted to do right by her. So, leaning down, he murmurs, “Sorry for calling you old.”

(Y/n)’s eyes dart open and immediately find Twice, she raises a brow at the man and shakes her head as her eyes slowly begin closing again, “I… it’s fine, dude, don’t worry about it.”

Dabi, as usual, is quick to jump into a conversation that was never his, “Old lady tempers, gotta be careful around them.”

“I swear to fucking God, Dabi!”

“What? What do you swear?”

“Shut the hell up!” Spinner snapped at children in the back seat, “You’re distracting me, loud asses.”

“Dabi started it!”

“I’m ending it!”

“Stop yelling,” Tomura commanded the group, carefully stuffing his handheld into his large front hoodie pocket and resting his head back, “I’m going to sleep and if I get woken up, I’ll kill you all.”

None of them believed him - not at all - but out of an odd respect for their leader’s need for rest, they stayed relatively silent as he slept. Murmurs and whispers being the loudest volume of their voices as Tomura snoozed in the van.

Eventually, Spinner came to the reserved spot on the beach that Kurogiri definitely didn’t hire people to kill civilians over. Himiko leaned over and gently shook Tomura awake as Compress popped the trunk to the van. (Y/n) shifted toward Dabi to ensure he was also awake and starting to feel less queasy before getting out of the middle seat so he and Twice could exit.

“Alright, there’s changing rooms…” Compress trailed off, looking around before sighing, “Nowhere in sight.”

“I’m already fine,” (Y/n) waved off, grabbing towels and an umbrella from Spinner, “You guys can take turns changing in the van while I set shit up.”

“I call first!” Himiko cheered, excitedly bouncing back into the van as the men all walked off to provide the teenager the privacy and distance she needed.

(Y/n) did as she’d said and began laying down towels and propping up parasols in the sand to provide shade. As more and more of her friends collected themselves along the beach, she spotted her almighty leader once again making a fashion mistake.

Bright, neon green and orange striped swim trunks hung over his hips and he didn’t avoid the woman’s stare. She purses her lips, “Who the hell goes clothes shopping for you? They shouldn’t be making executive decisions like this.”

Tomura shrugs, “I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t know?! Shigaraki, you have to be fucking with me.”

“I’m not,” he sits down on a towel under the parasol’s shade and returns to his gaming, “It’s probably Kurogiri but it isn’t like I ask him.”

“Holy shit. You’re an actual man-child.”

“Oh no, what gave me away?” he sarcastically whines, rolling his eyes at her.

“You being shameless about it is slightly worse…”

“(Y/n)!” Himiko cheerily calls, “Come join me in volleyball!”

“Is Twice playing?”

The blond looks over to the man in question and nods in approval.

“Are Quirks allowed?”

Another nod.

(Y/n) pats Compress’ shoulder, “I’ll let you take this game.”

Dabi comes up from behind while Spinner serves the ball on the beach, he’s removed his hoodie and now only rests in loose shorts that come to his knees and a white shirt. He scratches the back of his head in an uncharacteristically unnerved manner, “Not swimmin’?”

He earns a small shrug in response from the woman, “I’m not all too committed to the idea. At least not now.”

Nodding slowly, Dabi sits down at the edge of the towel unoccupied by Tomura and begins pulling at the fraying threads.

Sighing to herself, (Y/n) is slightly ashamed at how easily her heart softens upon noticing how uncomfortable Dabi seems. He doesn’t usually show as much skin as he is - which isn’t much - and he doesn’t usually throw himself into events where he’d be forced to interact with the others. He feels naked on the beach and he’d rather be dead than continue to suffer this embarrassment. And so, a body comes down onto the towel with his.

“Want company, misery?”

“Baking to death in the sun couldn’t get worse, even if it’s with you,” Dabi leaned back to rest against the woman’s legs.

“Wow,” (Y/n) fauxly gasped, sarcasm ripe in her words, “You being sweet? I never thought I’d never see the day.”

“Right? Thought I’d be dead by now,” his head tips back even more to lay it’s full weight on her legs, “You’re comfortable to rest on, old lady.”

“I’m gonna beat the shit out of you.”

“You still owe him an ass-beating from the car ride,” Tomura jumped in, a snarky smile on his lips as he spoke.

“I’m starting to think you won’t actually beat my ass,” Dabi grins smugly, “Like me too much.”

“I would destroy you in a fight, Dabi.”

“Hm, well, until you stop being a pussy and actually fight me, doesn’t sound like that’s the truth.”

“I swear to- " (Y/n) loudly huffs and cuts herself off before groaning, Dabi- "

“I’m no God,” Dabi paused to wink like the cheap bastard he is, “Unless you want me to be.”

Before the woman can respond, there’s a “heads up!” shouted by Himiko and a volleyball is hurtling towards the arguing duo. Tomura immediately leans over, not quite paying attention and sticks a hand out to block the ball, accidentally decaying it in the process. The leader comes to a stand and tosses up his hands, “What the shit, Toga?”

“Man,” the teenager whined, stomping her foot in the sand, “you destroyed the ball.”

“You almost destroyed (Y/n)’s face!” Tomura's voice quiets and softens to avoid upsetting the young girl over a mistake, “There’s probably another ball in the trunk.”

“I said ‘heads up’,” Himiko rolled her eyes, sending Twice off to find the spare volleyball in question.

“Exactly!”

“No! That’s not how that works, Toga!”

you soon made your way over to izana and kakucho, in where they layed flat on the ground, like they were making a snow angel.

"hey!" izana greeted you as you layed down beside kaku, which made his face heat up even more.

"hello.." kakucho can't even stare you in the eye of how much his heart makes him panic right now.

"huh? why are you looking away?" you continued to stare at kakuchos flushed face, seemingly curious.

"it's nothing.." kakucho mumbled again, calming himself down.

tenjiku has established a gang fight between the gang named tokyo manji. you knew izana was somewhat related to the manjiro sano, he's talked about how much he despises him. that he'll turn him into his own shinichiro..

you also knew that izana was strong, but the victory isn't well seen through the fog. after all, the manjiro sano was dubbed the 'invincible mikey' after all..

all you can do now is hope for the best..

and what was izana thinking with that shady new recruit? i know he wants to win.. but, he gives off a strange vibe, even though he's tried to become acquainted with me, I just can't trust him at all.. hell, everyone you've just met was shady enough to join.. how strange.

"izana!" izana was hit by the manjiro sano's kick, and yet received it without a sweat, causing you to breath a sigh of relief through the backlines.

watching the fight, you felt irritated that kakucho wasn't nowhere within your sights, it made you feel.. worried.

kakucho got shot in the shoulder as his blood splattered onto Izana's face. this gave you an instinct to run over, and check if he was at least okay.

"KAKUCHO!" you ran your fastest, immediately shielding him of further damage.. due to this, you've also gotten shot in the shoulder.. but somehow, gun shots can be heard though none hit you..

turning back through curiosity, izana was right in front of both of you, who's took all the bullets left. you've always known that man with glasses were shady..

"YOU!" you ran though your shoulder was struck with pain. pushing the gun out of kisaki's hand as you chucked your other shoulder towards him, but before he could hit the ground, that tall lanky man's already grabbed him and let you fall to the ground shoulder first.

kakucho tried to get up, though the pain of the bullet shot through his shoulder still ached.

"no, stay there.." you stood up with all the strength left within your body, just to sit next to the two, who were bleeding.

"heh, seems like the three of us are wounded, huh?" you said, holding your shoulder. "can any of you stand up..?" you looked over to the two.

"heh, I'm too weak to.." izana chuckled, feeling as if he was back as you three were like when you were younger. oh how a simpler time that was than this.

izana and kakucho's eyes were still open, as if he was thinking through the clouds.

soon enough, ran walked over and shut both of their eyes, "rest well, you two." hearing him say this as if they were already dead. you can still see their chest's rising and falling. "ran.. they're still breathing." you felt the second hand embarrassment that he's feeling, who wouldn't be embarrassed?

"you two! help with carrying the king and servant!" two tenjiku members were still there, they obeyed and carried them elsewhere.

izana and kakucho awoke in a white room, they were in hospital beds as you were nowhere to be found. coincidentally, a nurse came in as they've opened their eyes. "oh, you two are awake.. you must be wondering where your companion went, are you?" the nurse asked, entering the room.

"they're just getting their bandage changed. need not worry." the nurse said, reassuring them that nothing's wrong with you. "how long were we asleep?" izana straight forwardly asked, the nurse soon replied; "about a day or two." the nurse happily answered their questions as the door slid open to reveal the familiar who's been looked for.

"they're awake?" you were wearing some casual clothing, as if you've just went out. "welcome back, may you watch over them?" the nurse said, soon enough exiting as you nodded.

"how did you get us here?" kakucho asked, looking around the room. "I ordered those tenjiku members to carry you over here." you smiled as you answered. "does your wound hurt?" kakucho asked out of worry. "don't worry, they give me pain killers." you said, patting the shoulder which was shot. "careful on your shoulder.." kakucho felt even more worried for your wound as you treated it as if it was just a scratch.

"you two should rest more, your wounds aren't fully healed." you said, sitting on a chair between the two beds. "you should rest too, your wounds haven't healed either." izana said, getting ready back for slumber.

as izana was fast asleep, kakucho was still wide awake, looking all around you. "hey.. um.. I have something to say.." kakucho muttered, feeling shy all over again.

"what is it?" you sat onto kakucho's bed, listening to what he has to say. "I.. have feelings from years ago. I thought now would be the right time to say it.." kakucho continued to mutter, he was barely even audible. "I.. I've liked you. I've liked everything about you. I just really like you." kakucho decided to just say it, no more further hints.

"..are you serious?" you turned all shades of red, did he seriously just confess to you? no way this is real. I mean.. you liked him back, but this just felt unreal. "It's serious. embarrassing, isn't it?" kakucho said, refusing to look you in the eye. "actually.. I do like you back. its not embarrassing, you were just honest with your feelings, I love that!" you smiled at him, as he's also turned all shades of red as you spoke about how you liked him back.

you scooted closer to kakucho, kissing his forehead. kakucho felt as if he was in some romance anime right now, unbelievable how the person he's crushed on just kissed him on the forehead. izana turned over elsewhere, little did you two know izana already heard all of this from start to finish.

Izuku’s Emotional Neglect

Hi so I’m not okay because I keep thinking about Izuku

This kid has been emotionally neglected since he was little. Izuku has had NOBODY to rely on emotionally

He didn’t have Inko, or his classmates, or All Might. Actually, All Might is borderline the only one he’s confided in [since they talk briefly about their connection of being quirkless], but he still holds back

Inko is trying her best and no parent is perfect, I see that, but what she said to Izuku that fateful night damaged that boy and the way he saw himself.

He asks her if he can be a hero, and she cries and says she’s sorry. Not only does this imply that Izuku’s quirklessness is bad, it also implies that she was lying.

And by the way, I don’t mean that Inko ACTUALLY lied that Izuku could be a hero, nor do I think that she meant to mean his quirklessness was bad.

But I need, NEED, to stress that this is how Izuku sees it. This is how he would perceive it, subconciously.

If you’re a child and you think that you can be a hero, your parent encourages it because it makes you happy. But then suddenly you can’t be a hero, and you ask them one more time if it’s possible, hoping that those little wishes you made weren’t fruitless, that maybe somehow this is some kind of dream and she’ll wake you up from it with her smile and her warmth, promising that even with this newfound “disability” you can still be a hero, but instead she cries and apologises to you? That’s going to make you think. It’s going to make you think “Was she lying? if she truly believed in me, why would she cry and say she’s sorry? why isn’t she encouraging me, like she always does? what is happening?”

It’s not the truth, and Inko DIDN’T lie, but subconsciously I feel like it’s something that betrayed Izuku a great deal.

And with the quirklessness. He hates it, he hates feeling useless, and he saw himself as useless when he was quirkless, therefore -> quirkless is something weak and awful.

Time and time again, we see this evidence of the emotional neglect he was subjected to. It’s like actively ongoing and the effects of it are seen even now

We’ll start with the Inko one. I just mentioned it, but here are the panels. It’s really just the language that she uses

“You mean there’s something wrong?”

Apologizing over and over again, like not being normal was a bad thing. Moreso, I think this just meant that she knew how hard Izuku’s life was going to be as a quirkless person, but the way she says it makes it sound like what happened to Izuku was wrong and bad and incredibly awful

Then we have All Might disregarding his feelings and telling him straight up that he couldn’t be a hero

Which then leads to this commentary

“Don’t cry! Let it sink in!!” “Just block it out, just block it all out, just-”

*pats Izuku on head* You Can Fit So Much Denial And Repression Into This Kid!

Then further along, Izuku is seen, and he gets the quirk. He is then surrounded by people that love him, that want to help him, but it’s almost like even the narrative won’t let him have emotional closure.

In most emotional closure scenes (Tsuyu crying, Kirishima vs Rappa, Iieda in the hospital with Shouto and Izuku, Kacchan vs Deku 2), there is an end to it. The character is emotional, crying or upset, and thinking back on their regrets, spilling their guts as they scream, sob, or give solemn expressions. The other characters then cheer/hype them up, reaching some sort of conclusion to the character’s pain, and the situation is more or less resolved.

But that’s not the case with Izuku. He’s always left sorta hanging there, or his hurt and anger get sidetracked by something else. One example of this is the Running With All Might scene in the UA grounds

Izuku is incredibly upset that All Might chose to withhold information on Sir Nighteye and Mirio, and he speaks about how he can’t make sense of it. He’s voicing all his worries to All Might as they run, because he can’t stand the thought of All Might keeping something like this a secret from him.

And then All Might tells him why he kept it a secret, that he didn’t feel it was necessary to let Izuku know about Nighteye’s bias, and then it divulges into him telling Izuku he’s gonna die, and Izuku focuses on that instead.

I am NOT saying that All Might did this purposefully. He didn’t try and steer Izuku’s anger away from him, it was just that it all got revealed so suddenly, so the subject changed.

The narrative tosses Izuku’s feelings of anger aside, and instead Izuku gets emotional over All Might’s potential death. Idk man, to go from angry and upset about withheld information and then immediately shoved into the knowledge that your mentor-father figure is gonna die? That’s the narrative playing with Izuku’s feelings.

Obviously, All Might’s communication skills are awful and he just kinda unloaded all this stuff on Izuku cuz he didn’t think to tell him in the first place, but I still think Izuku’s feelings got pushed around here. He had no time to process any of it

Another example is the cafeteria scene with Shouto and Iieda

The scene goes that Izuku is visibly depressed by the Eri situation and Iieda and Shouto notice. They tell him that he can talk to them when everything gets too much [a parallel to the Stain fight], and Izuku cries. Izuku insists he shouldn’t cry, and Shouto tells him that, actually, Heroes cry too sometimes, and they offer him their food in an attempt to comfort him.

But the thing is, this scene doesn’t offer closure. Closure would be Izuku seeing that he could rely on his friends and telling them how he feels [he wouldn’t have to necessarily tell them about Eri - maybe just phrase it in another way that doesn’t reveal the mission]. Closure would be Izuku accepting that Heroes can cry too, and admitting he’s not okay. Instead, we have this

The scene feels... incomplete? Like there’s no knot at the end of the rope. Izuku is being comforted, but he’s not acknowledging his own feelings of sadness.

In fact, he’s shoveling food into his mouth to stop himself from crying, to shut himself up, to try and move forward and get past his little outburst.

I would go as far as to say this is self hatred eating, trying to quell that vulnerable part inside

I wouldn’t say Izuku HATES himself now. Rather, he just makes connections to his past quirkless self in his mind. It’s the negative emotion connection

Feeling weak? Well, you’re still like your quirkless self before! You’re still not good enough and useless!

Not strong enough? Sounds like back when you were quirkless! All weak and helpless! You can’t help anyone, which is why you need to get stronger, so you can move on from your past self!

Crying? Just like when you were quirkless! You always cried back then, like a helpless kid! You can’t be like that anymore, since you are now All Might’s Successor and A Hero, so stop crying! You’re not allowed to cry anymore!

Do you see what I’m getting at here? Izuku continuously represses these emotions as he gets stronger because he connects them to when he was quirkless. If you associate certain behaviors and emotions with how you were during a vulnerable and traumatic time in your life, you’re going to want to shove those emotions down so you don’t repeat what happened back then [in this case, Izuku sees himself being vulnerable as weak, and he saw himself as weak when he was quirkless, so he’s trying not to be vulnerable anymore].

And the scary thing is, now, we can even see the hatred in real time. I’m sure there are other examples in the manga, but one scene is very prominent in my mind, and it’s this one

Izuku is so incredibly strong now, he has saved many people, but he still can’t view himself as anything other than “useless” or “helpless” unless he powers through death itself just to break himself more. He almost feels like he HAS to do that in order to be seen as worthy, for himself and others. When he’s struggling, bleeding and heavily injured, he yells at himself as if it’s all his fault.

It’s not about whether he’s aware he’s actively dying or not. To him, being worthless and useless is infinitely worse than dying.

Actually, the way Izuku practically yells at himself in this panel reminds me of when he was walking home in chapter 1 after his chat with All Might [shown above when talking about All Might’s impact]

There are two translated versions of this actually that ring alarm bells in my head. There is the panel already pictured above, but I chose this panel too because I simply think it hits harder

“Don’t cry! You knew already, right?! This is reality...”

In either translation, he’s chiding himself. For crying. For being emotional.

And once again, I totally think this stems from emotional neglect. Trying not to get too personal here, but I know what this feels like, and I know the effect it has had on me. I can’t be vulnerable or spill my feelings in front of people, it just feels illegal or smthg. Like it shouldn’t be done. And like... if you’re taught from an early age that, one way or another, your feelings don’t matter and that nobody is going to pay attention to you, why try, right?

Then you just begin to Not Feel Properly, and you become incapable of expressing your feelings in a healthy manner

Current examples of this?

Izuku literally not giving himself time to process anything, like worry, grief, sadness. If anything, the only emotion he gives time for is anger. And he specifically directs it at All For One, cause that’s his target. [we saw little bits of this in War Arc but it also applies to the current arc]

He can’t cry. He feels emotional, sure. But he never lets his tears shed.

And one last bit of evidence

Is anyone else amazed that Hawks was only "undercover" with the Leauge for 6 months at the most.

Not only that, one and a half of those 6 months were spent just trying to gain enough trust to infiltrate.

I know it seems like much longer since Hawks made his Manga debut 2 years ago. But he had such a short amount of time on this mission. Hawks was introduced in the manga with his role being the "double agent". We literally have not seen Hawks outside of his "spy" role. Even when he is interacting with other characters outside of the Leauge, his "mission" is still happening in the background.

It seems Hawks made contact with Dabi right before the Hero Billboard chart, this is when he starts trying to infiltrate. His interaction with Dabi in the warehouse begins immediately after Endeavors fight with High-End:

During this time, Dabi is testing out a High-End Nomu for doctor Ujiko. Which means by the time Endeavor fights High-End, the My Villain Academia arc is already happening. Hawks is assumed to be one of the "members" Dabi is trying to recruit:

The Leauge has already made contact with doctor Ujiko, and the Doctor sends Dabi to test his High-End Nomu out on Endeavor (even though Dabi didn't know it would be Endeavor) while the rest of the Leauge battle Machia. At the time, Dabi still doesn't trust Hawks at all and he keeps the hero at arms length. While Dabi and Hawks are sharing ominous phone calls, the Leauge is hauling ass and it take's Shigiraki a month and a half to finally beat Machia. (The MLA is "defeated" too):

After a month and a half of phone calls (while the Leauge gets their asses handed to them by Machia in the background) Hawks is finally allowed into the Leauge when the battle of Dekia City is finally over. Dabi let's him in because Hawks "kills" Best Jeanist.

But there's a problem. By the time Hawks is let in, The Leagues numbers have drastically increased. They have an army at their side, multiple High-End nomu, and are now called the MLA:

Hawks blames himself, saying that he was "too late". That so many civilians would be alive now if he had been faster. He couldn't round up the Leauge when they were a small group, and now they have an army. A powerful one:

He's in too deep now. And you can see the stress on his face. I bet he never expected to be part of an army. He was simply tasked to round up the Leauge members while they were a small group, but the MLA was completely unexpected. Still, he decides to improvise and do the best he can with the shitty cards he's been dealt. It's not like he has another option at this point.

So he slips a coded message to Endeavor ASAP. Basically saying "yo, in four months shits about to go down. Ttyl I'll keep you posted lol". He can't tell the guy in person now, because to make things harder, he has camera's on his wings. (and even though he's being watched by camera's, he also gets followed by guards at the mansion):

After Hawks relays the massge, he stroles around the mansion with his bodyguard and heads towards the cafeteria. With a little eavesdropping (courtesy of his feathers) he also finds out that the Leauges plan is to "Destroy Everything" in four months:

After he relays the massage to Endeavor, he listens to the Leauges plans of destruction as his thoughts run a thousand M.P.H.

Because now "capture the Leauge" has turned into "Holy shit I now only have 4 months to take down a full fledged terrorist organization/army from the inside-out by myself while I'm being monitored 24/7 with absolutely no privacy & also a full time job as a hero + a public image to maintain. And I can only contact my fellow pro's about this mission through code because if the villains find out I'm a double agent I could be killed and Japan could be destroyed. Also some heros have even joined the MLA so who on my own side can I trust? Only a select specific few for now I guess."

If you thought things couldn't get worse your wrong.

Because around 2 months before the raid Hawks' heart (that wants to be free & has a genuine desire to help people) takes shit a bit too far when it makes him get attached to a certain powerful villain.

Hawks quckily finds out that Twice is easily the second most powerful villain in the Leauge after Shigiraki. He's an S ranked villain and he'll kick your ass with the power of friendship anyday. He's a great guy, but him and the Leauge are still planning on doing horrible things within the next 2 months. Twice is going along with it because he wants to stick by his friends, which y'know, is a cool motive. But considering that fact that the people Hawks is trying to protect ALSO have friends, and family's, this makes shit difficult and sends Hawks on some major guilt trips. (I would show all the panels of Hawks sadly smiling as Twice calls him a "good guy", but alas- Tumblr has informed me that I've reached my 10 image per post limit)

And tbh who wouldn't feel bad about suddenly getting attached to such a golden retriever of a man and then realizing you'll have to double-cross him at some point! I'm not surprised Hawks would feel this way, especially considering the fact that he never wanted to take on this mission in the first place.

Hawks is very much a people person, and he HATES lying even when he has no other option. This is a man who got "shivers up his spine" when he had to put on a serious face while handing Endeavor a book with coded messages inside. He literally felt icky and thought "this is low even for me" just because he had to use a deadly expression so that Endeavor would get the gist.

And when the Commission made their "proposal" about this mission, Hawks' first reaction was to call them out on their B.S. for asking him to put civilian lives at risk. He even admitted that he was feeling bad about sending Tokoyami away while talking to Deku, Shoto, and Bakugo. Hawks felt guilty about not being able to spend more time with his student, but considering that things with the MLA were starting to get riskier, and that Hawks literally handed Endeavor a book with a coded message inside about an uprising 2 seconds later, I can see why he wouldn't want to risk Tokoyami being around him. The fact that the camera's on Hawks' wings caught his interactions with Endeavor & the students also makes the creep‐factor worse. The MLA saw everything AND talked about it in a meeting later. Continuing to train with Tokoyami would put him at risk.

I love the complexity of Hawks' character, he's incredibly intelligent, logical, and intuitive. But at the same time throughout this entire mission his heart is constantly battling with his mind. Even when he knows he has to grit his teeth and do something shifty, his heart never fails to put up a fight with his logistics. Honestly it's been a pattern for a while that Hawks' sympathy always "Trips him up" in some way, so idk why I didn't see it coming around to bite him in the ass later.

(Tbh it's hard for me to see Hawks as a this super "Morally Gray" person that the fandom likes to paint him as because of a mission that he only spent 6 months on. I personally, kinda see Hawks as a "good person" who works for a "morally gray" agency. But that's a whole different meta)

Basically, Hawks getting attached to Twice wasn't a surprise. But considering how powerful Twice was, along with his role in the League's destructive plans (He was a lieutenant in one of the MLA's "Units") the discourse going on in Hawks' mind makes sense. By this point Hawks has already figured out all of the MLA's "Units" along with the three "bosses" that support the lieutenants of those "Units". It's noted that those "bosses" are extremely powerful and can match the strength of the heros as well. It took Hawks an entire month just to figure out all of the "Units" members. (I would show the panels explaining all of this but I'm at my photo limit)

All of these members were tasked to follow their lieutenants and bosses, and the plan was to attack all of Japans major cities at the same time. Once the cities were destroyed and chaos had set in, Redestro and feel good inc. Would distribute support items to the remaining citizens in the name of "self-defense". It would create a country full of discourse and destruction where Redestro and Feel good inc. Would rule from the shadows. But Shigiraki would be the main leader. He would become "king" and sit upon a "throne of rubble". (At least this was the MLA's plan, Shigiraki himself just kinda wants to destroy everything. But I suppose this would make things easier for him to do that.)

needless to say, the stakes have been upped excessively. But it took Hawks an entire month to gather this info.

This post is honestly just me marveling at what an M.V.P Hawks is

My guy literally only had 4 months to take down an entire terrorist organization for the inside-out. AND he was being monitored during that entire time. He figured out the MLA's intentions within the first month of being there. And it took him another full month to go into detail and figure out all the members, bosses, and lieutenants, for each of their "Units". Hawks even went as far as to immerse himself in the MLA's ideology, and he had in-depth discussions with the MLA's members. HELL HE EVEN FAKED HIS CO-WORKERS DEATH JUST TO GET IN.

AND HE PRETTY MUCH IMPROVISED ALL OF THIS SHIT!!! The original plan was to capture the Leauge when they were a small group! But by the time Hawks managed to infiltrate, The Leauge already had an army! They were a full-blown organization! And Hawks just kinda rolled with it??? He just kinda bullshitted his way through??

Like, "okay I'm now apart of an army I guess. The Leauge is now an entire organization and they're planning on destroying Japan in March. Let's see how this goes. I'll just have to make this work"???
