Misogyny and sexism are not and never have been synonyms. That’s not all of what’s meant by sexism. Literally just take two minutes to look up the term. It’s prejudice or discrimination against people on the basis of their sex (often expanded to include their gender). Plenty of them make sure to specify that it can affect men.

Here’s an example of its use from APA: “We define sexism as individuals' attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, and organizational, institutional, and cultural practices that either reflect negative evaluations of individuals based on their gender or support unequal status of women and men…it is important to acknowledge all levels of analyses are intertwined and both women and men experience sexism.”

honestly it doesn't bug me that Jerry Seinfeld is bad at acting because the other main cast of Seinfeld are so good, Jerry's acting becomes a joke in and of itself.

#The three of them maintain the emotional immersion #Jerry's incredibly one-note acting is amusing but its not enough to overpower the costars and make the show feel fake #yknow???#Anyway. #burcon #cockles #thoughts #at the start of the panel and through a few particular interactions he seemed very standoffish #he was giving a little bitter and hurt and perhaps even resentful - maybe he only learned of misha's gf #at this con too! maybe it was news to him. on top of not seeing misha for months i can understand #if he was feeling a bit neglected and out of the loop. there's also the matter of misha's gf not being #in a poly thing with jensen and dee like vicki was ie. what she has with misha is seperate so i'm sure #that's another difficult thing to deal with knowing their time together is strictly separate #i've no doubt he wants misha to have a partner and be happy but there's an adjustment period #letting new people into your life and whoever misha's partner is now or in the future is going to #affect jensen on a personal level and moreover his relationship with misha. it's all very intriguing #and while i like what little i've seen and heard about this woman for misha i just think no matter who #she is it's going to take a toll on jensen's relationship w misha. i thought it was plain to see on jensen's face #during their panel: numerous moments where he was giving a poker face that wasn't covering a laugh #but instead like he was trying to smooth out his bitterness. or so my eyes and brain and heart tell me.#just various moments where things looked uncomfortable and jensen making off-colour jokes that didn't land #and which furthermore were barbed and snarky - not in their usual banter way but like he was lashing out #and using the excuse of chaotic panel convo to explain away his comedic pitfalls. but again maybe i'm #looking to much into it? idk. there are some lovely moments! fun and caring moments - but they #mainly came from misha's direction ngl. it seemed like misha was trying hard to keep the peace #while jensen was just running his mouth on comments and jokes that kept not landing - for me #everyone on my dash is loving their dynamic this panel - and i want to feel that love! it is possible that #learning misha has a gf has skewed my perception a little like i'm putting context onto moments #i otherwise wouldn't. but i also think i would've laughed and generally felt better watching their panel #if that was the case. idk. whatever the reason i do think something was OFF between them on stage #and it was coming from jensen from the start. misha picked up on it partway though but things felt #a little strained throughout. like jensen wasn't looking at misha as much as usual or reaching out for him #misha tried to salvage and not react to things. but both their answers to the last Q were passive aggressive af #and when they left the stage together they weren't close or touching or chatting like they usually are...

Me: I should probably clean my room, unpack, find my laptop and finish the work tasks that were due yesterday

Also me: I think I'm going to hot glue flowers, vines, and ribbons to a basket instead :)

#no my room is so bad it even hurts my chronically messy soul #i moved back in with my parents in May and im terrible at unpacking #so everything is just strewn about because i just pulled shit out of boxes when i needed them and never put them anywhere productive #and i just got back from my summer camp job. i still need to digitize my inventory and write my closing report #it was supposed to be done before i left camp but i convinced them to let me do it by monday #today is tuesday #part of the reason i havent done it is because my laptop is lost in this mess #last thing im procrastinating is ren faire prep #truly its not much prep just adding vines and flowers to a basket and needing to try on my whole outfit #and practice my makeup and hair #makeup will be light bcuz i dont know how to do makeup #so im just doing some lipstick and glittery highlight #and i need to figure out what to do with my hair. i have a tiara that i might see about fastening into the braids #or i may braid ribbons into my hair. gotta test to see whoch one i like better #i am so fucking excited for ren faire bcuz im going with my gf and some of her friends #im so excited to meet her friends and spend time with her outside of the summer camp we worked at together #AND im going to do her hair and she asked me to braid ribbons into her hair so im so excited #i just need to practice some braids to figure out how i want to do her hair and practice braiding in ribbons #i fucking love doing hair and i cant wait to do hers. ive done single strand braods for her before BUT #she has long beautiful hair and ive been wanting to try more braids on her and i think i have an idea of what i want to do #but instead of doing anything productive. i am sitting in bed. doing nothing #(spoiler alert its because every time i leave camp i get treated to a terrible depressive episode)#(its because i lose the routine and sunshine and exercise and social aspect of camp probably)#(now worsened by the terrible state of my room and the passing of one of my rats while i was at camp that i just learned about)#anyway im doing fine. gonna go do something now ig

I've got puppy fever so bad out of nowhere 😭 can someone let me borrow their dog for a few hours to just like hang out with? I'll take them on a nice walk through a dog park and play with them and only give them slightly too many treats 🙏

#ive got a pet sitting gig lined up next month already but those are Big doggos #and they stay at the clients house or daycare they dont come home with me #i want a little puppy to hang out with me while i work from home and we can go on walks together and go to the dog park #and theyll cuddle with me and give me little puppy kisses and wag their tail all excited when my gf comes home from work #and theyll probably chew on things theyre not supposed to and pee on the floor but its okay bc theyre so cute and baby #and its my job to train them so they grow up and learn to Not do those things anyways. and maybe i can even teach them tricks!#i just miss having puppies 😭 dogs in general actually but especially puppies #i want a little puppy and then i want it to grow up into a little dog and i want it to be my friend #but weve already talked about it and we dont plan on getting a puppy until we have some place with a yard #which makes sense bc going on walks multiple times a day seems like a pain especially with us living on the second floor #and no matter how dog friendly our apartment complex is that would still be our only option...#but still :( i miss living with puppies #rambling
