Artist’s comments: Something I really loved about Bachira is how he LIVES rent free in other’s people back, but specially in Isagi’s. Ah this boy is going to be the end of meeee why he’s so cute, crazy but cute <3  Also since what I loved about this anime/manga is the fact that they’re all crazy, I wanted to give it a try for those crazy eyes and those teeth!!! Ah! I had a hard time on those teeth tho lol but still love how they turn out. They're not supposed to fix his eyesight they're used to protect your eyes from the bright light of monitors etc which means..

This bitch is sitting so often in front of monitors for a longer period of time that he needs to protect his eyes or else they might get damaged by staring too much at the displays. 💀

And you know what that reminds me of?

Oikawa fucking Tooru who probably wears glasses because he (despite everyone warning him) didn't stop staring at those bright displays in the middle of the night, rewatching every Match of his future opponent.

This last chapter was amazing (Blue Lock)

Not only was the fact that both Isagi and Hiori believed in each other enough to know what the other person would do, but the goal was an accumulation of everything that has brought them to this moment. I know some people are saying that they were underwhelmed with the goal, but I think it was absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to read the next chapters.

Also, we’re finally back to our homoerotic shounen roots (Bachira and Karasu are probably seething right now)

Part two of me being pedantic about nuance because I can

While the official translation isn't wrong at all, I feel like the phrasing chosen here makes Nagi appear more distant than he actually is. In japanese, his inner monologue is more akin to "I'm sorry, Reo. Please, let me say something a bit selfish"

He's using causative. He's asking Reo's permission. And sure, we could make a case for how he doesn't say that aloud, so it's a moot point... But the implication is that he knows Reo won't like this but he wants Reo to be okay with it. For his sake. Just this once.

And "I'm gonna say something selfish" doesn't convey that at all. If anything, it makes it sound like he knows Reo won't like it and he doesn't care
