There are no spoilers in this. I just put a read more to not clog up people's feed with my rambling.
With drdt, all the characters are so interesting, and they all have their own unique quirks and personality's that give them all their own sort of unique charm, because of this there is bound to be at least one character that you get attached to and call your favorite.
however, this is a Danganronpa fan series, and knowing how those tend to go majority of these characters will be dead by the end of it, which is why making the characters easy to get attached to is so important as if the audience isn't attached to the characters then it kinda defeats the point of a Danganronpa game or series.
I don't know what's funnier: the implication that these penguins know enough about imps to have slurs for them that can't be repeated on this show, or the implication that Blitzø speaks penguin
“Jason has no personality!” OH MY GOD ITS ALMOST LIKE THATS THE POINT??? Is that he doesn’t know who he is because he’s always just been a pawn for others and been what others expect of him. Also wrong??? That man has LAYERS yo sorry yall skimmed his chapters 🙄
it's the most accurate adaptation of greek myths i've ever seen (and yes, i believe it's better than percy jackson even if it has my whole heart).
as an autistic person with a greek mythology special interest, i am obsessing over the care for the details they put
SPOILERS FOR EVERYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN IT
example: Pasiphae, Ariadne's mother, was in the myths the mother of the Minotaur because, to say it very poorly, she fucked a sacred cow. So Ariadne's brother was the Minotaur. And she also had a brother named Glaucus (i have to research if they're twins or not)
another example? i have plenty of those
Caeneus being trans, the whole Troy thing (which i adored because i think it's both heartbreaking and a smart as fuck way to tell the myth), the Seven Trojans in the maze, Orpheus being a singer and convincing Persephone to let Eurydice go because "she likes his songs", the scene in the last episode where outside the underworld Eurydice begs Orpheus to look at her, Hades and his wife being the only ones with fucking logical thinking in their whole family, even the fact that everyone is gay it's somehow myth accurate
the only thing that i really don't like is the fact that they made Hera cheat on Zeus, she's the goddess of marriage and because of that she has never and would never cheat on her husband, even if she clearly doesn't like Zeus (still, i loved the way she behaved, "you're the king but i am the queen" was PERFECT to me)
so yeah basically go watch Kaos because it's neat and i love it and greek mythology and yeah
sometimes i forget that Criminal Minds is a REALLY REALLY REALLY POPULAR series and it just blows my mind when people know about it...like huh...what do you mean you know this niche show?
Bros that call Jason an alpha male gonna go crazy when I remind them that he is the only person other than GAEA that told Leo he was important and wanted.
"But here's the thing, Grian. I'm two minutes away from yellow..."
"And I'm going to kill somebody."
Last session was wild! Normally I don't have enough time to watch other POVs (I've mostly been stickin with Etho's) but seeing as it's spring break, I had the time to watch Grian's and BOY am I glad I did! I was not expecting Etho to drop that kind of confession at the end there.
I don’t think I’ve seen this theme handled so sensitively across so many different characters in a BL before. The writers have done such a good job of making Q and Atom’s affections for Ryu and Zen respectively, feel deep felt and genuine. Both are fully fleshed out characters who I (so far) want good things for, even if they don’t get the man they want.
Neither Q or Atom feel like an annoying obstacle to the main couples story either. It’s all quite refreshing to get to watch nuanced relationships like this.
Even the unrequited crush Lin has on Ryu, and the fucked up toxic affection Tos had for Q have both landed for me too.
