I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! How about the early concept for tfe s3 that Prowl would have been an antagonist of sorts? Him basically representing the "dark Autobot side" that had been hinted on in the narrative.

Although the writers would need to make Prowl smarter in order for that to be possible. The Prowl we have in the show right now wouldn't be able to pull any kind of shady dark schemes haha.

But the concept is very delicious. Especially because every other Autobot in the show was squeaky clean so far. Decepticons were having aaaalll shades of complicated morals in them and all the Bots were just. The good guys. All of them. Perfectly good. Perfectly innocent. Every evil they ever did was forced on them by someone. Such pure hearts.

All I'm saying is. Either it's just a kids show logic. Or they are REALLY good at hiding their crimes. And considering that crimes are the necessary part of any war? Ahahaha yeah. I can easily craft an au here

And I would need juuuust a few tweaks with the scenario to make Prowl SHADY AS FUCK while also keeping his personality mostly intact.

okay y'all so i'm not saying the tattoos won't have significance to the story in 4Minutes, but if no one else has broken it to you yet, at least some of those tattoos on Bible's leg are actually Bible's real tattoos.

one of the easiest places to see them are the video that he and Build did back during KinnPorsche airing and promotions where they took a pole dance class together (yes really) and you can see the main three runes on his right thigh throughout as he practices and spins on the pole. i couldn't find any shots that show anything above those, but he was already wearing pretty short shorts and there might be evidence elsewhere that i'm not hunting down.

my very low effort goog searches aren't pulling up anything on the symbol in the corner of the screenshot from the trailer, but it's not an actual rune from the Futhark/Futhorc alphabets like the other runes are so it might be something made up for the show if it's not a real tattoo, i have no idea.

for what it's worth, Bible has another tattoo on his left thigh but i have no idea what it is and couldn't get a clearer shot of it than this, but there you go!

the runes he chose and their orientation are interesting, as ingwaz, the one that looks like two Xs stacked, is the same up or down, but the other two are both upside down when you are looking at Bible but would read right side up to Bible when he looks at his leg. i have had discussions in the past with friends who know more about runic things that have told me that orientation can be very important for what the runes mean and what energies etc they can bring into your life, but who knows if Bible got them for any of those reasons or if he just got them because he thought they looked cool.

so yeah, speculate away! but also know that some of those are just Bible being his extremely attractive self with tattoos already there.

Eight Hours? EIGHT HOURS!?

Every time I think I'm safe for the week Critical Role finds a new way to knock me through a loop XD

The State of the Role today revealed that Ep. 121 is to be the finale of Campaign 3, having a record-breaking 8.5 hours runtime - effectively an entire work day! I suppose if you're gonna break a record the finale is the best place to do it, but seriously that is so much and so much can happen in it! I am curious why they opted against splitting at least the live showing into two parts, perhaps running one half on Thursday night and another on Friday just to give a breather then the whole thing in the VOD, but perhaps there just isn't as neat a cut between them to be feasible.

It's a wonder what can occupy such time though - and no, stop it, don't think that, I won't entertain it after everything they've fought through - I assume a lot of it could be chatting with the gods (potentially with an array of guest voices and maybe a friendly ghost aeormation playing as mediator), since there's a lot of gods and they want to convince all of them of the Option C plan, with potential ground rules and addendums put forward in the negotiation. There may be some bits with VM and M9 too since the god stuff does directly affect some of their characters, and then a final wrap up for the Hells themselves - even if it's just having a wild ass party and waking up to a new dawn. It's likely going to occupy dominate my thoughts for most of the week, and then the 3 hours I can possibly watch on stream while working, but still that is a lot.

I'm still not ready for it to be over, and there are still things I want to come out of the campaign that while are definitely up to the cast would enrichen the experience for me personally, but now we know when exactly the end is coming, and it's going to be a big one.

Not to be alarmist but Chanse said he was studying his spells for a dnd practice in NOVEMBER in his insta stories and it only takes 3-4 weeks between filming and videos being posted so it would line up with a 12/12/23 premiere. Something must've happened between that and the postponing on the day it was supposed to start, especially since Damien was so excired to include the Koda/Fayen lore in his story. Them being radio silent ever since is not looking good.

Okay so this'll be the last post I make regarding Critical Role until c3e119 airs since while the antipathy and, for lack of a better word, deflation revolving around 118 has been a little disheartening, I do want to throw a few things that continue to bounce off the inside of my head out there before we get to the next episode;

I don't think it's needed (as someone who very much wants them all to survive - including ones I like less than others - and be able to continue figuring themselves out) for BH to die or be betrayed or be subject to additional punishment to justify what's happening. This fight IS their punishment, their consequence, their Finding Out after Fucking Around

Also, if the gods refuse to help BH - if asked - it proves Ludinus right. Refusing aid would indicate that they really are picking favourites out of self interest, plus the taking on Predathos option was only proposed to BH by one of their own, so it'd be double scummy

Campaign 3 has still had some great, funny and heartbreaking moments that we shouldn't forget about just because these current events are fresh, plus C1 and 2 weren't perfect - worth reminding that too

Honestly, if FCG were alive the same thing would've happened anyway; Matt would've made the coin flip be indecisive so the cast could make the choice and Imogen would've chosen the same way

While we definitely could've built to this better, this fight will provide the floor for BH to confront a key character motivation; be it preventing the overtaking and corrupting influence of a malicious or feral psyche, having to decide whether to trust that their ally can overcome it or follow through with what a superior entrusted them to do as a countermeasure, or simply trying to protect and prevent another friend from dying - which, alongside the likely map change and expected unique minis, is actually kinda exciting

Just, let's go into 119 with an open mind, okay? They have to earn it for sure but it's not over until it's over.
