I just imagined, that if Allen, Kanda, Komui and Tyki (I doubt that Noah can reproduce, but this imagine is for funnies) have a child and the minute the father isn't looking, their toddler snatching flying near them Timcampy (Allen) or Teez (Tiky) or personal flying Order golem (Kanda and Komui) and starts chewing and licking it 🤭
THIS WOULD HAPPEN! Wait, hold up, listen
I don’t think it would be a big problem for Allen, Kanda, or Komui since the golems ain’t meant to cause harm. Even more, I think Allen and Komui would actually find it cute and Kanda wouldn’t care that much (still would take it out of the child's mouth 'cause disgusting).
Buuuuuut the Teez? That is like the Tyki equivalent of going for a glass of water and returning to find your child licking on a knife like, the panic Tyki would feel at that moment, I swear his soul would fall to his feet.

I'm gonna be frank, Eddie just does not give me the impression that he was bullied all that much in high school to me. Especially as he got older, like he was the school drug dealer, he was not getting beat up by the same jocks who were going to be buying from him later that week. It just doesn't make sense to me!
I'm not saying he was never bullied at all (personally I think he was probably bullied by the people in his grade in like middle school, but leant more into the satanic image by the time he got to high school (which is when the satanic panic wouldve been starting) and people became more afraid to mess with him or it stopped when BS started dealing) or that people can't headcanon and project onto pm. It's fandom, do what you want lol. I've just gotten to the point where fics lose me whenever they claim Tommy/Steve/Jason was going around beating the shit out of him or shoving him in the halls every week or the like. Eddie just does not give the impression that he is scared of the jocks normally. He looks down on them and thinks he's better than them! He taunts them openly in front of everyone and pontificates on table tops.
I think if you take it in that context too, it makes the town turning on him more sinister? Like obviously, satanic panic was only growing at that point, and it was within the last year or two they started pointing at metal and D&D as recruiting centers for satanic cults. (Eddie also like an asshole is walking around with a satanic symbol on his jacket - peak edgy teen in the middle of a moral outcry.) But while people might've been afraid of him, and most definitely talked about him behind his back, that's worlds away from mob violence. The change was startling, even if Eddie might be able to see it on the horizon.
Idk to me that's more of what the hunt the freak line was about. The knowledge that they could turn on you and would if you gave them a reason (or if you want to go with the Eddie is closeted interpretation - if he got outed). I think he probably has been called the freak for a while but honestly I think he's proud of it at this point.
Obviously all of this is up to interpretation, I guess I've just gotten to the point where a lot of the popular fanon interpretation doesn't feel like Eddie to me anymore

Forever: Chat, let me just explain something, because I saw this on Twitter at the time when Richas and Tallulah were fighting. People were desperate and people were saying, "Forever doesn't know how to be a father." Let me explain something to those who don't understand: this is Minecraft RP.
The admins purposely make fights. It's not like, "Oh I don't know how to make them understand each other ☹️." It's their RP, their JOB, being an Egg who, in quotes, is a child. DON'T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!
Enjoy what you have to enjoy, breathe! There is no right answer, there is no way to make children understand each other because it is their RP! It's Richas' RP being the "dramatic" brother, and Pepito's RP being the "good" little brother!

Been thinking about my experiences as a POC within fandom while also being an artist and how much that sucks sometimes. This is primarily in regards to the Redacted fandom, but could be applied to any other fandom honestly.
Proper "fussing" under the cut (for those who would rather not see):
Sometimes, I really stop and think about what it must be like to be a white person in fandom, especially when you're an artist. To see yourself reflected in the spaces you exist in all the time. There are some exceptions to this, of course. For example, lack of body diversity is just as much of a problem in my opinion (Like fat people exist. Disabled people exist. Fat, disabled people exist. You can draw them, y'know? /rhet) But generally speaking, it's not difficult to find designs that probably look like you. There will be blondes, brunettes, redheads even— It's everywhere you look.
I don't think most people realize how isolating that ends up feeling though.
Because it's not just the fact that most of the art/designs you'll stumble upon won't resemble you. It's the fact that the prevalence dictates how everyone else interacts with fandom too.
Do you know how much it sucks seeing a post saying "So we all agree that Asher's blonde, right?" and knowing that most people are thinking of a white guy and nothing else?
Or noticing how Alexis, a generally "hated" character in the fandom, is the only vampire most people are willing to make visibly brown?
How about the fact that Gavin, the "thrilling" and "sexy" incubus, has so many black and brown designs— But I can count the non-white Lasko designs I've come across on my hand?
People can do whatever they want. I've said it before, and I'll continue to repeat it when I make these rambles. If you want to make every single design you have varying shades of white and never stray from that, that's your prerogative. But for the love of god, I wish I didn't feel like I was fucking crazy for talking about how much that shit sucks to see as a person of color.
On top of that, do you know how frustrating it is to watch white artists get praised for generic diversity when POC artists have been consistently bringing forth such compelling, stunning designs to table? Like I see the kind of shit that gets praised in this fandom and what doesn't. Racial ambiguity or the slightest addition of a curl gets treated like it's revolutionary— And that's only if it's the "correct" character. It has to "make sense", right? The same way Sam has to have sun-kissed, golden skin even after he's been turned, or the way Guy has to be white because there's no way someone with that personality could be anything but.
Do you know what it's like to be filled with such a sense of joy because someone made a design where a character had your skin tone or hair texture or facial feature? Like, I genuinely have a strong reaction whenever I find a black or brown design in this fandom because they're so rare in comparison to everything else. And when I really stop to think about that, I realize how fucked up of a phenomenon that is.
I love the designs that I've made, but I've also noticed which ones "do better" comparably. I don't change much of anything with how I go about posting or promoting them. The only difference is that some of them fit what is considered widely "canon" in fandom. And the others... don't. I go out of my way to make every design POC in some regard, and you can usually tell visually even without the addition of colors. I'm not gonna stop doing that because I know why I started in the first place. But fuck, it does start to hurt seeing white artists with the same general white designs get hyped up endlessly while I internally debate if I should even make another character look like me or not. If it'll even matter to anyone but me.
Some days, I just really wish it didn't feel like shit being black in this fandom. I hate knowing that I'm gonna post this, and I'll probably get responses for other people of color primarily.
But maybe putting this out will help that pill get easier to swallow.

I find it interesting that the most controversial/widespread posts have been those relating to physical appearance/visual medium. Lbh's hair and body type and sqq's eyes. I wonder what's the underlying cause for this. Maybe because people get attached to designs they feel more protective of them? Just a thought.
Oh, I would say this is absolutely the case. Visual design choices are, after all, often symbolic reflections of parts of individuals' own selves in some way, or of other things that are important to them. Artists will also spend a lot of time and thought on creating their designs-- and in some ways, visual media and written media are also quite different. You don't need the visual contrast so much in a book, but you do need it more when it's pictures, because characters with good contrasts are pleasant to look at together.
I actually think the donghua designs create a sort of contrast too-- both by SQQ's lighter eyes to LBH's, but as well as with the broader silhouettes, where SQQ has flowing robes and hair and LBH's silhouette is tighter. Also in general, the black robes of adult LBH vs the teal & white. Western stylization just focuses more on body type+hair texture silhouette diversity, while eastern stylization is more about the clothing and hair-styling silhouette, in a broad generalization, so it's only natural that when people create their designs, especially for a media that is only written, like SVSSS before the donghua or official cover art came out, that they will draw influence from the background of their own culture in creating these designs, in addition to their own experiences.
It's difficult too in my position, because while I genuinely want to take a neutral look at trends and history and patterns and cultural influence as a scientific sort of examination, there are so many instances of attacks on character designs, which make both the artists and designers and the people who like those designs feel bad and just isn't productive, even if criticisms are genuine. Things should be talked over civily, without bashing, because a space where people are belittled and attacked is not a space where people can learn.
Anyway, everyone has reasons for their designs. Sometimes these may be rooted in stereotyping or westernization, but other times, they're based on personal reasons and don't actually have those roots. It's not my or anyone's place to declare, definitively, that someone is stereotyping (of course, there are some instances when things are very very obvious and that's a different story), I only try to explain what things i can so that people are then able to examine things for themselves. I do think it's everyone's own responsibility to look at their own biases and think about where their portrayal choices are sourced from, especially when engaging with a culture that isn't one's own. But I don't want people to get into a justification loop, because that's not going to help anyone-- just to honestly take a look at the why of things. Sometimes there's subconscious biases, sometimes it isn't about that. I don't know peoples' own experiences, so I'm not going to say what it is or isn't.
In the end, accountability is something that is definitely needed in sensitive areas like westernization or stereotyping. However, accountability is not dogpiling on someone. Instead, it's personally being open to consideration, to change, and to growth-- and we'll never have that in a hostile environment. People need to focus more on holding themselves accountable, and less on holding others accountable-- we all have unconscious biases. It's part of existing in any culture or environment, and it's a life-long process of examining them and growing in experience and knowledge. And I hope to contribute that knowledge wherever I can, and use what platform I have to foster that sort of gentler environment, where it's not about making people who genuinely didn't know things feel bad, but where it's okay to be wrong, and to learn and grow.
It's up to an individual to examine themselves when they hear new information. That doesn't mean everyone needs to change their designs to conform with Chinese beauty standards-- which have plenty of issues of their own, and shouldn't be taken as more "morally correct!" It's just so that as many people as possible can have as much information as possible, so they can make the best and most informed judgments and decisions they can about their own viewpoints and thought processes.
But yes, even saying all this, I can perfectly acknowledge that fan-designs of beloved characters hold a bit of their creator's heart. While creators can be imperfect, the experiences and emotions and care that these designs stem from is still genuine, and should be treated with gentleness and understanding.
No matter if someone's viewpoint is erroneous or just different from yours, it's important to remember that every person on the internet is a real, human person. Fandom culture can be so notoriously toxic-- and it's high time that people remember each other's humanity, and treat one another with compassion and understanding. That's the only way to create a better fandom space-- and ultimately, a better world.

"are people not into that?" i ask, after posting my weird niche shit to the internet, despite knowing it to be weird niche shit.
#jsyk sylkius or anything adjacent to it does not “Do Numbers” in any way and i observed this some time ago#i assume that's the “rival ships” element at work but who knows really#that sort of thing is like femslash in that everyone approves of it but nobody actually reads or writes it#but who would have thought sylvie beating loki with a stick would not bring in droves of readers???! shocking twist there!#& i don't consider sifki a rarepair but my rarepair standards are VERY strict like if there's >5 fics a pairing is basically mainstream#chasing popularity would annoy me though & i just don't have the mental spoons to try writing stuff i wouldn't personally read#yeah i *could* put my blorbos to work in a coffee shop but what cost to my own enjoyment levels? AT WHAT COST FANGELA???#you can't please everyone so you may as well just please yourself and if anyone else likes it you've found some fellow freaks so yay#i don't mean please yourself in a wanking sense. though feel free to do that too it probably counts as a cardio workout idk.#BUT ANYWAY#fic related#ps i am v glad there's the “warning: loki” tag because i think/hope it acts as a filter for 'he did nothing wrong in his life ever' types#who are Valid & etc obviously but i write my morally grey characters to be morally grey and the tag might help avoid conflict#though tbh i write almost every character to be morally grey in some way so i can't claim to have left my comfort zone here#(i'm not joking when i say the 1987-89 run of Dr Who shaped my entire future fannish life from a young and apparently v impressionable age)

Honestly, I don't forgive Hunter OR Wrecker for refusing to explain to those three poor clone cadets that the reason they were abandoned isn't because the clone troopers didn't care or weren't loyal, but because they had chips in their heads FORCING them to obey the Empire's orders even when it meant disloyalty to people they cared about.
Like, Hunter and Wrecker KNOW THIS because Rex, a "reg", came and found them and made sure they got to a place where they could GET THE FUCKING CHIPS REMOVED. Hunter and Wrecker saw what happened to Crosshair, they saw what happened to WRECKER HIMSELF.
And yet they hear these poor cadets feeling so betrayed by being left behind and can't even find it in themselves to EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM to try to lighten that sense of betrayal even a little. They sit there listening to one of the cadets saying "Wow, you're doing so much to find your squad member, I wish the other clones had been that loyal to us" and just accept that comparison in fucking silence.
And the icing on this insulting cake is, of course, that Hunter and Wrecker say they can get the three cadets to a safe place and instead of CONTACTING REX AND THE OTHER CLONES, they decide to send them to fucking refugee island instead. THEY DON'T EVEN LET REX OR ECHO KNOW THAT THERE ARE THREE CADETS STILL ALIVE TO BE SAVED. THEY DON'T REUNITE THESE CADETS WITH THEIR OWN PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN FREED ENOUGH TO BE ALLOWED TO CARE AGAIN. Nope. Gotta take them away to refugee island, away from the entire clone community, and never tell Rex or Echo about them ever even though Rex and Echo are out there TRYING TO SAVE CLONES AS THEIR ENTIRE FUCKING MISSION.
FUCK Hunter and Wrecker for this, SO MUCH. They truly hate the real clones to an absurd degree and it shows and I hate THEM for it.

Here's my thoughts, for what they're worth, on Get Back and Now and Then. Bear with me, because I've just woken up.
You know the meme, 'photos taken seconds before disaster'? Get Back is an hours long version of it. I'm trying to find a reason that the Lennon/McCartney relationship wasn't a marriage, and I can't. Barring a minister and a register, they made vow after vow, either through their lyrics or in joke or, for all I know, in quiet earnestness.
Do I think they explored each other's bodies? Maybe. But let's not forget, they were very young men, and they had gone through the intense experience of being the world's first superstar boyband. It would have been heady and insane and thrilling and lonely and frightening. But even without having a physical relationship, even without being catapulted to worldwide obsessive fame, the relationships you have with your friends when you're in your early twenties are just Like That
In Get Back, we're seeing the breakdown of this intense relationship; two people who, despite the love they have for each other, which is powerful and real, are growing apart. They're trying to hold together, but they're pulling at the restraints they feel on themselves, the ties of who they used to be and what they're trying to explore and grow into. It's fucking heartbreaking. It's nobody's fault. If they had been able to talk about it, maybe things would've been different. If I had loved you less, maybe I would be able to talk about it more.
So they stopped talking.
In Now and Then, John's voice comes out of the past saying, 'now and then, I miss you. Now and then, I want you to be there for me', and Paul, in the present day, sings it back to him. Perhaps it's the sentimentality of old age, or perhaps it's a man saying, I loved you and we stopped speaking, and I thought we'd have time to come together again, and then you got fucking shot, you were killed, and we never got to speak properly again. I still don't know where to put the love I still have for you, even now.
I don't know the nature of their relationship, I wasn't there, it didn't happen to me. But when I watch sad-eyed Paul McCartney and dour John Lennon suddenly light up at each other because they've caught the sparks of their former intensity again, when I see their faulty wires suddenly, briefly, connect, it breaks my heart. I know what's going to happen.

The whole "obi wan has a baby face" thing is so funny to me. He's 24. His actor was like 28 when the film was released. He looks his age in Tpm he just has a stupid haircut lmao. Like I'd believe he grew the beard to seem even older (esp bc he's a 24yo carting around a 9yo) but like, he's just not baby faced to me I don't get it 😂

There are actually so many takes people have in this fandom be it through headcanons/fanart/general thoughts that make me wanna fist fight sometimes but you know what is best to do? Block/disengage/mute/ignore - whatever it is that I need to do to never see it again and I take responsibility for what I consume. Even though sometimes it's people who are my mutuals and friends that I generally enjoy connecting with. Sometimes we don't see eye to eye and that is perfectly okay!
But also...it would be super nice to be able to click on a tag/fanart/whatever and not see fighting or negativity or general asshole behavior. It would be SUPER nice if passive-aggressive tags weren't added to everything. Because I can disagree with your interpretation of something and not like it without it meaning I'm being a jerk. Without it meaning I'm being vague about someone or something. I'm not obligated to engage with things I don't agree with or like. But people can have different thoughts and that is okay. It stops being okay when you tell me that my thoughts are wrong and you're right and because you're "right" I should go fuck myself. Canon is canon, fanon is fanon and everything else outside of what is actually in the books is speculation. Everyone is guessing and whenever the next fucken book comes out, you'll know if you're "right" even though at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter because being right isn't the point, it's about actually enjoying the stupid books.
When people who have been in this fandom for years tell you they're burnt out, you can't wonder why when general fan behavior is crusty as hell. These characters aren't going to come out of the book and fuck you. Go eat some grass, touching it isn't enough.

hi cleo, I've been reading a lot of your asks and posts and I'm not the last anon but also new to the fandom and just a little curious as to why you don't like buddie as a ship? you don't owe this a response and please don't feel the need to justify. I'm just surprised to see a rise in buddie-antis in a fandom that seemed only to love them from an outsider perspective until tommy came into the picture.
hi nonny
here's the thing. i don't dislike buddie as a ship. like oliver said, i get it, i see it. the actors have great chemistry, they've got a good dynamic, the family unit, it's all there. i've reblogged buddie edits and i will continue to do so, i've read buddie fanfic and probably will again at some point, interests vary over time. they are indeed a great ship.
i'd say a lot of bucktommy shippers, maybe even most, if they were buddie shippers before, or just enjoyed their dynamic, they probably still do. i still do.
i just don't think all my ships have to go canon, and in fact some i'd prefer if they didn't.
my problem is with a small subset of fans who insist that, not only will buddie most definitely going canon, but the show and the actors are sending secret messages and hints that this is going to happen. and if you don't think they're going canon, or disagree with their "theories", you are a bad fan and don't deserve the show.
my problem is with these fans, who, after screaming about how iconic buddie would be "for the representation", are now shitting on a character's canon bisexual journey, because it's not happening with the person they wanted it to. these same fans, who are calling other buddie shippers traitors for enjoying the two ships, who are calling me and other queer fans fetishists for enjoying this canon representation that we rarely get, who are actively wishing for biphobic and homophobic storylines, who are sending very offensive messages accusing actors in the show of being violent and homophobic just because they are getting in the way of their ship
so yeah, i am not anti-buddie. i am just anti this small group of fans, who insist on screaming the loudest
