The melancholic futility of sukekiyo song endings
Tumblr media
After hearing "Kyou mo" (today again/today too) often at the end of sukekiyo's songs, I picked up a broader pattern in Kyo's lyrics for his second band. The recurring theme is that these mini-stories end in vain, sorrowful. Even the line that seems the most positive in the list above, "it's a beautiful morning again today", sounds filled with despair, envy for others who will get to enjoy that day, but within, it isn't so sunny. It's like an objective observation that you can't relate to.
You wish for love, you naively wish for better, but the past fades into the future unrelently. You poured your heart out, but nothing changes. You can't even forget: you're conscious during this continuous nightmare.
Anyway, I'll cheer you up with more positive content soon after this, but I wanted to share this interesting observation with you. Here is the list of lyrics and the songs that they were taken from, if you're curious:
The sadness will never end For whom? – Kokyuu
I know it's hard to understand You can forget about it if you want – Frameout kara no
Clinging on to the cheap wish that will come true It will be a fine day today – Kawattekuremasen deshou ka?
Please give your love to the me of up until yesterday. – Gloss [I changed this from the official translation a bit, because I didn't agree with "to the me until yesterday", the original meaning wasn't clear enough.]
Ah I want a womb – Kuchi ni Ringo
I wish – Margaret
Even if I want to forget It got broken Deep inside my little heart – Scarlet
To the next guy, is it okay to love you? – Furesaseru
I want love – kisses
You can't change the future – dorothy
Hey, do you love me? – Kimi wa mukidashi
It'll be the same again tomorrow – Kou Mo Chigau Mono Nano Ka, Yousuru ni
I hope you'll let me forget about you someday – Nurebairo
Unable to forget you – Uso
Would you have even loved me if I was not so openly dependent and was just weak? – En
Today too my heart is cold – Valentina
wishing you happiness – zephyr
it's a beautiful morning again today – hidden one
to this child, who hopes for a peaceful future – Mama
as if all is forgotten – Madara Ningen

Hi, to make up for not posting yesterday, have a longer chapter.Tell me what you think. Stay safe.
Tumblr media
When seeing a story there’s always a before and after the story. If it doesn’t matter, then it shouldn’t be said.
Problem is, it mattered to y/n, and Tom. Who were each dealing with a problem that technically shouldn’t matter to them but it did. It really did. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be talking about it.
Tim had been kind enough to drive her to her building, but she had kept on talking, cueing Tim to follow after her, and when she hadn’t used the lift, Tim knew something was up. Because when y/n took the stairs, it meant she really didn’t want to go home yet. It’s something he had caught during their relationship. Sure, Tim may have not known her since children like the Hollands, but Tim had been the one to actually observe her. He had learned because he wanted to, not because he had lived with it.
And he knew y/n didn’t do it on purpose, she probably didn’t even know she did it. But Tim followed after her knowing she probably really had to talk about it.
Tim had regretted the breakup the moment it had happened because he had been the one to give up. But he thought he needed a breakup, because it was getting repetitive, not because he had stopped loving her. Especially not because of the reason for the breakup. They hadn’t really addressed it yet. Not again. He knew they had been on different stages of their relationship, but he never really thought how far off of each other they were. The worst part about their breakup was how aware he was that they still loved each other.
He watched her as she was making her way up.
“It’s wrong, right? This is wrong. You see it too, right?” She asked him.
Timmy chuckled, “what is? The fact you’re not using the stairs?”
“I… No, the fact that,” y/n stopped midway. “I… The fact that Harry and Emma are engaged.”
“Why is it wrong?” Tim bit his lip. “They love each other.”
“But… is it love really?” Y/N crossed her arms looking up. “No, no, I know it’s love it’s just…”
“What do you mean, y/n?” Tim dug his hands into his pockets as he leaned against the wall knowing y/n would probably sit any moment now.
“I don’t know … I know love and it,” she sighed as she finally slid her way down to sit on the stair.
Tim smiled watching her but then sat beside her. “They do love each other.”
“Well, yes they do,” she sighed, “I’m just…”
Tim watched her.
“Harry asked me about it, and I told him not to do it and he did anyway?” She frowned.
Tim chuckled softly, “you’re angry Harry didn’t listen to you for the first time.”
Y/n shook her head. “Not really… but I am his best friend! And I’m sure Sam said no too, I talked about it with Sam, his twin brother and best friend told him to wait. And he didn’t.”
“Why does he need to wait?”
“He’s young… he’s 22 and…wait at least until you turn 24, man, I dunno.”
Timmy laughed. “But what does age have to do with that?”
“But think about it, Tim. It’s soon in their relationship.”
“Maybe, but who’s to judge timing when it comes to love?”
She sighed, “we wouldn’t know much about timing but…”
Tim scrunched his nose. “You’re right I wouldn’t.”
She closed her eyes. “Tim it’s .. not that.”
He gave her a sad smile, “What is it really?”
She stayed quiet and leaned against the wall. Timmy watched her, and pushed a strand of her hair back.
“I love Emma, alright? I seriously… she’s one of the best friends that could’ve come into my life,” y/n started.
“But?” Timmy rested his head on his hand.
She chuckled watching him. “But I know Harry.”
“You know Harry,” Timothee agreed.
“I’ve known him his whole life literally and—“
“So then you know he is in love with her,” Tim added.
Y/N bit her lip. “I know many things about Harry.”
Tim nodded. “Then?”
“I think he’s not being fair,” she said. “He is… it’s just, they’re too young…”
“Too young?” Timothee watched her. “I think you’re just scared of marriage, y/n.”
Y/N froze. “I’m not…”she suddenly turned colder. “but they’re not ready.”
“How do you know that?” He asked.
She raised her hands. “It’s obvious!”
“Well when I asked you, you said no because you weren’t ready and- if she said yes then it means she was ready.”
“Tim.”
“You said it, didn’t you? you said ‘I’m not ready and that’s why I’m saying no’.”
“But I knew I wasn’t ready,” she gulped.
Tim coughed. “And will you ever be?”
She squeezed her eyes shut. “Timmy.”
“I, well, y/n, you know I’m willing to wait a lifetime for you, but…”
She stood up. “This wasn’t about us.”
Timothee sighed. “Well, we hadn’t talked about it.”
“I—-well…”
Timothee stood up. “I’m sorry y/n, but breaking up when knowing we both love each other isn’t easy, I mean we basically broke up because I loved you so much I proposed.”
She glanced away. “That wasn’t the reason why we broke up.”
“No, I know,” Tim dug his hands in his pockets. “it was leading towards it for a while, didn’t it?”
“No, I… Tim, I don’t want...look, I… I meant about Harry…” she sat back down.
“I think you’re just scared that Harry shouldn’t have done it for the same reason as to why you said no,” Timmy pointed out.
“It’s a completely different situation,” she frowned.
“Is it really?” Tim day on a lower step. “Because I know you said no because you’re unsure about your feelings towards someone else.”
She didn’t say anything for a bit. Maybe she didn’t want to admit it to herself.
“No, Tim it wasn’t that.”
“I’m…”he took a deep breath. “I’m okay with it, y/n, as okay as I can be.”
“Tim.”
“Look, I’ve seen the way you look at him,” he shrugged.
She stood up and climbed upstairs nervously. “Tim, no, let’s not have his conversation, please I’m already struggling.”
He closed his eyes. “I know, I see that,” he said as he rushed after her and stopped her.
“See what?”
He scoffed. “The way you look at Tom? Maybe? God, y/n.”
“With pure hatred?” She defended herself as she let out a lsugh.  “Tim please I don’t really want to have this—“she kept going upstairs.
“I think you should go for it,” he mentioned.
She stopped and looked back at him. “What?”
“Yes, go for it,” Tim insisted. “isn’t that kind of the reason we broke up?”
“No, Tim, let’s not go there,” she pushed.
“Y/N,” Timothee calmly followed after her. “we were friends before all of this and I know, I think… I think you should try something with him.”
She was confused, Tim tried to map out the emotions she was going through. She licked her lips as she only watched him. Tim only gave her a gentle reassuring smile. But of course she was perplexed, a man who claimed to love her telling her to go with someone else.
“What?” She asked.
“Give it a go.”
“You’re insane.”
He finally stepped on the same level as her. “Y/N, you loved him once, and I know there is still that feeling pounding your head.”
“And what would I even do?”
“Dunno, that I don’t want to know, but let yourself fall for him and then you’ll know it. Give it a go.”
She bit her inner cheeks. “I would never give it a go again because he’s hurt me before, alright? My heart can’t bear that again, and I don’t feel anything—“
“There it is,” Tim chuckled. “So something has happened before.”
She gulped and looked away. “Not really, no.”
“Are you sure?”
“I did have feelings for him,” she admitted.
Tim laughed. “That’s brand new information!”
“Timmy.”
“I am very aware y/n and he has feelings for you,” he pushed.
She rolled her eyes, and kept walking, Tim only followed after her. “That’s the part where I know you’re crazy.”
He watched her with disbelief. “He looks at you the same way I look at you.”
She laughed cynically. “No Tim, he doesn’t...maybe he looks with lust, I dunno he’s a devil.”
“Nono, I’m very observant, y/n,” he reminded her. “and I mean you do this with everyone,” he scoffed. “but you take his breath away.”
“No.”
“And lately he takes your breath away.”
“No, Tim.”
“I honestly,” Tim rubbed his face. “and I hate saying this,” he commented. “you don’t know how much I hate saying this y/n but I really think you should try something... get rid of that feeling you have because I know you, you probably have that little thought roaming in your head,” he pushed her hair back. “Go and try something with Tom, ask him out.”
“Tim.”
“You know you want another heartbreak from Tom,”he sentenced. “and if it takes another heartbreak for you to realize we’re meant to be then…” he shrugged, as his hands landed on her waist.
“Timothee,” she said breathlessly.
“I’ll be here if you want to be in love, I’ll be here when he breaks your heart.”
“Timmy.”
He stepped closer. “You know we’re perfect for each other.”
She looked away. “Sometimes too perfect.”
“But if you love Tom,” he let her go and stepped back.
She frowned. “I don’t…”she confessed. “I should focus on my writing instead.”
He followed once again after her, as she finally reached her apartment.
“Ah yes, tell me what’s the story?”
She looked at the door, and laughed to herself. “I’m writing about falling in love.”
He chuckled. “Such an irony isn’t it.”
You wouldn’t believe it
He leaned against the door not letting her get in. “And how is that going?”
“It’s… going, I am writing about someone falling in love with someone, the truth is I don’t know what makes people fall in love.”
Tim smiled. “Hm, want me to tell you what made me fall in love with you?” He leaned close to her, making her blush.
“Do tell.” She watched him, and she did exactly what he had expected her to do. She looked him in both eyes, her sight traveling from one eye to another..
“The way you look into both my eyes,” he grinned.
She gloomed. “Hm?”
“You do this thing y/n,” but he couldn’t look away from seeing her. “when you look at both of them, your eyes travel, people usually only look at one eye but you always make sure to look at both, to make sure people know you really listen.”
She Cackled nervously. “And that’s what made you fall for me? That I probably can’t focus enough on one eye,” she appealed as she tried to search for her keys.
“Hey, I’m only starting okay? I love the way you’re so… you, you know? The way you don’t care about what everyone says, the way you—“he places his hand on her face. “The way you are brilliant, and so passionate and—ardent and—“
“Those are synonyms.”
“And the way you don’t take bullshit from anyone,” he continued laughing as she finally opened the door, she didn’t walk in, she leaned against the door watching him.
“I give that vibe off yet—“she chuckled. “But you know? Does that make people fall in love?”
Tim only rested his arm right above her and watched her. “Dunno,” he gulped. “Maybe? Or maybe it’s the little details, the props, you know? Flower pots… it’s the moments y/n, a walk under the rain, losing breath after laughing,” he continued, as he could smell her perfume, and he heard her hands mingling with her keys. She was shaking, and Tim knew that her heartbeat was going fast, maybe not as fast as his. He knew she loved him. “Or a coffee in the morning, a kiss…” and he knew she wanted this too, so he didn’t hesitate on leaning over to give her a quick peck to taste the remaining cherry on her lips. He had seen her nibbling on cherries the whole day, supposedly they were for the drinks but Tim knew she loved the sweet taste of the sugary fruits.
She kissed him back, slowly and scared. But then she pushed him away.
“No, Tim, please I can’t do this to you,” she confessed as he watched her.
“Do what?”
“No, no, I—“She looked down. “Tim I am really not—I don’t want to hurt you, alright? I need time… I…”
He watched her.
“This is too complicated,” she squeezed her eyes closed.
Tim sighed as he walked back. “‘It’s alright,” he took a deep breath. “But just so you know, y/n, I am not giving up yet.”
She sighed with a small smile. “Timmy.”
“Tom will never be able to kiss you that way, I’m sure,” he pushed. “I’m sorry, I’ll… I’ll leave now. See you on set.”
“Tim…” she looked up at him. “I’m sorry.”
And he left, not knowing who had had their heart most broken. But he didn’t want to think about it. He used the elevator.
Meanwhile, Tom was also freaking out over the sudden news of the engagement.
“I don’t want to tell Harry he fucked up but he fucked up didn’t he? I love Emma and I know he loves her but this is wrong,” Tom said.
“Yeah… I mean,” Haz didn’t really want to go over this with his best friend as he had already heard him talk and talk and talk about it on the ride.
“Getting married? That’s… crazy,” Tom continued.
“No, getting married is not crazy.” Haz rolled his eyes.
“No I know but,” Tom opened his fridge to get a beer as he threw one at Haz.
“But what?” Haz asked as he opened it.
“The timing…” Tom took a long sip.
“Doesn’t that just come in perfect time for you?” Haz pointed out.
Tom frowned. “What do you mean?”
Harrison laughed. “Look, Tom, I didn’t ask much into it before but you are in love with y/n, and that is a big deal,” he commented.
Tom coughed. “Not really...shit it’s weird you know.”
“I’d say I’m surprised,” Haz admitted. “but now that I’ve been thinking about it all day, you haven’t been subtle about it.”
Tom looked away. “What?”
Haz chuckled and stared at him, incredulous.
Tom waited for an explanation.
“Come on,” Haz pushed. “The way you hate on Tim, they way that even if you claim to hate her—“
“I do hate her,” Tom interrupted.
“Even if you claim to hate her,” Haz emphasized. “You're always there.”
Tom rolled his eyes. “Well but that’s because she’s important to my family.”
“The way that you literally always find a way to be around her just to bother her, and the way you literally know everything about her… Like you literally know everything.”
“Everything she hates.”
“Oh my god, why are you trying to deny this?”
“I’m not denying it… but that doesn’t have to do with anything.”
Harrison frowned. “Doesn’t it, though? You are in love with her, I know it, it’s okay to admit it.”
“Well okay now that you put it that way,” Tom coughed. “Yes I am in love with her,” he continued. “But what do you want me to admit? That she takes my breath away every time I see her but I won’t... and yes she’s probably on my mind 24/7,” Tom sighed as he played with the beer cap. “and she’s literally driving me crazy and I want to kiss her all day long and fuck, she’s so pretty, and god, the way she speaks? And doesn’t care at all, and the way she turns everything pretty?” Tom smiled to himself. “God and she smells amazing doesn’t she? Like... I don’t know shit about flowers but I know she smells like them…” Tom bit his lip. “but ... that doesn’t matter because she won’t know this and if she knew this I’d blame you.”
Harrison just blinked. “What the fuck?”
Tom frowned. “What?”
Haz laughed. “You are literally so in love with her.”
“I’m not.”
Harrison watched him with disbelief and not understanding one bit of Tom's head.
“Okay yes I am, but it’s hard okay?” Tom gulped.”This is literally the first time I ever tell anybody. Dunno.”
Harrison laughed. “Mate... but now it’s so clear,” Haz had to hold his head, “like... her last birthday?”
“What about it?”
“First, that’s why you were killing Timothee with your glance. “
“I hate Tim,” Tom barked. “He is annoying and boring. Because he’s so dreamy, and fuck, he gave her a ride didn’t he? He’s trying to take her back.”
“And he will if you don’t do anything,” Haz pushed.
Tom scoffed. “I can’t.”
“You need to pull another stunt as you did on her birthday?”
“What stunt?”
“Gosh, it makes so much sense now,” Haz asserted. “The gift you gave her?”
Tom smirked, pleased of himself, he had known that he had been the one with the best gift. Not even Timothee with the new Polaroid. And the gift had had y/n texting him for a complete week believing there was something wrong with it, and that I’m any time it would turn out to be a prank. It wasn’t.
“Please,” Tom scoffed arrogantly. “everyone knows she likes The Rolling Stones. She’s so typical.”
“But giving her an original vinyl? Signed?” Haz pushed.
Tom gulped. “I—well, what about it? I’m in love with her, now you know it.”
“Nothing, I’m just calling myself out for being so fucking blind—“Harrison dipped his drink. “How long has this been going on?”
Tom leaned against the counter. “I... well, since forever,” Tom smiled to himself. “Not that... Look, when I’ve dated other girls,” Tom coughed. “I’ve loved them and only them but somehow y/n always finds her way into my heart and that’s annoying like... god”
“I’m just surprised I didn’t notice,” Harrison said.
“I’ve been pretty good at hiding it, even when we’ve kissed I’ve made everyone believe I didn’t like her,” he admitted.
“Even her huh?” Harrison questioned.
Tom sighed. “I couldn’t. Because Harry loved her and if she knew I liked her back when she liked me—Then I would’ve been an asshole to my brother because he’s been the one who was nice to her all this time. And he—He deserves someone like her, and she deserves someone like him.”
“But Harry is engaged now.”
“That’s—I don’t know, I think he’s still in love with y/n,” Tom said. “And I feel like this is a perfect way for Harry  to escape rather than actually facing it.”
Haz shook his head. “I think he really loves Emma.”
“I do too, but marriage?” Tom frowned. “Dunno, maybe you’re right.”
Harrison nodded. “God, how was I so stupid? I can’t believe I never saw it.”
“Well, stop it now, okay? I still dislike her and I will keep on disliking her, and I will act like I hate her.”
Harrison frowned. “That’s very stupid.”
“Is it? Look,” Tom took out his phone. “I’ll text her that I hate her and she’ll answer back just that she hates me too.”
Haz frowned. “I don’t get it,” He frowned. “If you now know this, why don’t you just…?”
“It’s complicated.”
Harrison frowned. “Dude she liked you too,” he reminded him. “Why would you do everything you’ve done if you—“
“I may have wanted her to know I liked her,” Tom admitted. “But then I remembered I shouldn’t and—I don’t think she’s ever believed I like her, even when... the fucking yellow flowers.”
“I’ve never understood why it means so much between you both and why you always get tense when they mention it.”
“It’s been a constant prop in our... relationship it’s... nothing,” Tom rubbed his face as his phone vibrated. “She just texted me back.”
Haz watched him. “And?”
Tom coughed, blushing. “She just said… your place in 30?”
Harrison burst out laughing “She wants the d, great, but no, tell her not to come over.”
Tom frowned. “Why not?”
“A, I’m here.”
“You can pretend you’re not.”
Harrison frowned. “That’s gross, I… and okay, but a, I’m here and b) Tom, if you’re in love with her having this whole thing, will only make things worse. You should pursue a relationship instead.”
“Who says I want a relationship? I’m alright like this.”
Harrison rolled his eyes. “You’ll only end up hurting yourself.”
“I can’t want it,” Tom explained. “Besides, I think I’ve hurt her enough for her to not to want one.”
“What do you know?”
“I know her enough, alright? And she probably wants to go back to Timothee Chaglabob.”
“Chalamet-“
“I swear Harrison,” Tom rolled his eyes. “But—I mean if this whole benefits thing works out then I’m good, would I want a relationship where I can kiss her all day and be all adorable and take her everywhere and just make her laugh all day? No. I don’t want any of it, she’s annoying.”
Harrison only watched him, “are you fucking listening to yourself?”
“Yes, I don’t—I am in love with her but I don’t like her.”
Haz couldn’t believe what he was hearing, Tom was probably the most stupid man he’d ever met.
“I genuinely can’t act nice around her,” Tom admitted. “I’m—I can’t.”
“What if you try?” Haz frowned. “Take her somewhere nice, be romantic, see how she responds and then you’ll see how it goes.”
“No.”
“You know what? I don’t even know why I’m arguing with you, you’re so stupid,” Haz said before heading to his bedroom. “Please don’t be too loud.”
Tom only stared at his phone, and texted back: “come here now.”
And Tom knew it took her about 20 minutes to come, so he showered, and he got all dressed up, and then changed into something less nice, a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. He even put on some lotion. He had combed his hair back then ruffled it a bit so it didn’t look bad. But he stared at the house? Did he have to light up some candles? Or was that too romantic and out of place for their new title. He lit some up anyway. Should he play music? He bit his lip but searched for some music.
But this was stupid right? It didn’t have to be this way. It wasn’t romantic. This was not nice.
But before he could even make a decision to turn everything off, y/n had knocked on the door.
And he felt like this was wrong but he couldn’t act like it. And honestly, he’d be an idiot if he denied having any sex.
But y/n was having her own thoughts. She felt guilty. But she technically had Tim’s approval. Didn’t she? But it was wrong and she didn’t know why.
But she had to admit that Tom had left her hot and bothered after kissing her neck in the bathroom. Besides, she could try that thing with Tom. She had to change this whole sexual relationship into an actual relationship. Did she? Or maybe she could only have fun.
Of course, that the moment she’d sent that text everything had probably gone to shit. When driving over to his place she realized how this sounded only like a random booty call when it actually wasn’t. Maybe it was. This was y/n wanting to talk with someone without being judged and someone who probably was on the same page as her.
Because this had her on the edge and as she had typed in some words to her script she actually took into account that she didn’t want to do this.
She needed to change the script. She could lie. She could write about it without living it. But she wrote about it: enemies with benefits. It had a ring to it, it sounded catchy. Hating each other in the day, but pretending to love at night. It wasn’t a sin. Because she technically didn’t have to try anything, maybe she could tell her boss that she really didn’t want to pull such a shitty thing. But writing about sleeping with the enemy… it was sexy.
This was so selfish of her. But Tim had reason on what he’d say, maybe she did want to give one last chance to this. She wouldn’t compel, however.  How could she?
She was scared but the moment Tim had told her to give it a go, a thought had swirled in her mind. Could she give it a go?
But she hated him. There was some kind of awakening inside her. But she had to remember what he’d put her through. And how even with this he could turn around and run the other way, far from her. And she won’t be able to hide again.
But sleeping with him couldn’t hurt as long as she wasn’t the one to catch feelings.
When the door was opened she saw Tom, with his hair wet, and smelling so good, his lotion suffocating her and begging her lips to go straight to his neck. The drops on his forehead only there to fill her imagination.
He gave her a grin, but then stared at her sweatpants.
He gave her a second glance and chuckled. “So how is this—“
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know who else to talk to and I really don’t want to tell Harry because well it involves him and I had to talk to someone but I don’t know why I thought of you.”
Tom blinked. “You…what?”
“I just wanted to talk to you.”
Tom chuckled. “Why?”
“I dunno. You know what? Forget it, it’s silly… so,” she squeezed her eyes closed. “Pants off, Holland,” she ordered as she then pushed him against the wall, slamming the door closed and then smashed her lips against his, forcing Tom to close his eyes and place his hands on her waist, his fingers pressing down on her back. She could taste a fainted beer on his lips, and she could smell his shampoo, she could tell he had just showered.
He laughed as he pulled away. “That’s—That’s?”
“I’m sorry I’ve never had a booty call before.”
“I can tell.”
She rolled her eyes and playfully nudged him, letting him go.
“But you wanted to talk?” He chuckled mockingly. “I didn’t know kids these days were calling it that way.”
“Forget it.” She looked around and chuckled to herself. “Candles? And music?”
Tom chuckled. “I—well.”
“You’re a hopeless romantic aren't you?”
“Yeah I was about to turn them off, though,” he admitted. “I kind of forgot I was going to sleep with my worst enemy.”
He blew out the candles and turned off the music.
She chuckled. “This is stupid.”
“Why? Want me to turn them back on?”
“I don’t know, it just—is,” she said. “Besides, I think this is the first time I haven’t had any alcohol on me before doing this.”
“Huh, we’ve been pretty drunk, right?” He bit his lip.“What did you want to talk about?” He wondered as he approached her.
“Nothing.”
“What if we—talk about it while we go for some alcohol?”
“You want to talk?”
“That can be another benefit.” He took her hand back.
She frowned as she watched him, unsure as to why he was acting this particular way. He cupped her cheek, but then frowned.“Weren’t you with Tim?”
She blinked. “What?”
“I saw you leave with him,” he commented.
“I… well, I was but…”
He smirked. “Hm, he can’t satisfy you—and that's why you come to me.”
“What the fuck Tom?” She pinched him on his arm, earning a laugh from him.
“Let’s go for a drive, we need alcohol,” he yelled as he took out his keys.
“You know what? No, fuck off,” she stormed off to her car as Tom followed after her.
“Y/N, no, come on, come on,” he stopped her, taking her from her waist, hugging her from behind placing kisses on her neck. Tom had learned quickly. A kiss on her neck would have her down on her knees. Of course, like everything Tom learned about her, he’d be using it as a weapon.
“Why are you so obsessed with Tim?” She frowned, as he continued to pepper her neck with sloppy wet kisses, making her stomach fill up with butterflies. “Tom.” But he didn’t stop, his hands were now travelling down her stomach, as he sucked on slightly on her neck and then his lips delicately landed on her collarbone. “Thomas,” she closed her eyes.
He snickered against her neck. “You sure you want to leave?”
She closed her eyes as she felt his hot breath against that sweet spot on her neck. She nudged his ribs and then pushed him back.
“Y/N,” he smirked with lust as he pulled her back to him. “Hm, should we go back inside?” He asked as his lips landed on hers, biting on her bottom lip.
She cupped his ass and then deepened the kiss, now he was the one to soothe into her touch, as she slid her tongue in.
She pulled away as he was left dumbfounded, earning a smirk from y/n. “No. Let’s go for that drive.”
He blinked. “Y/N.”
“Cmon let’s go”
“Y/N.”
“Haz is in there, isn’t he?” She questioned.
“He’s asleep.”
She looked away.
“I have beer,” he explained. “We can chug down 8 of them at once and then you’ll forget it’s me who you’re screwing and pretend it’s someone else.”
She scoffed. “Like who?”
“I dunno, Chris Evans.”
She laughed. “I’m not pretending I’m screwing someone else, I just have to… Get to the idea.”
He placed his hands on her waist. “So?”
“No, I’m angry at you,” she pushed him away and then headed to her car.
He let out a cackle, and followed after her, he pecked her cheek before pushing her slightly. “Isn’t that the point, though?”
“No,” she got into her car.
He laughed not letting her close the door. “I love your car is old, just adds in more to the aesthetic.”
“Can you let me close the door?” She begged.
“No,” he chuckled as he sat on her lap.
“Thomas.”
He chuckled. “Hm,” his cold lips landed on her chin. “Y/N.”
*
She closed her eyes, and Tom slowly closed the door. Y/N opened her eyes with surprise as Tom was now letting his hands inside her t-shirt.
He started to nibble on her ear as she closed her eyes back, her hands roaming through his hair, he licked near the earlobe. Y/n blushed as she then walked her fingers through his chest lining every muscle on his body.
Her fingers shrivelled at the end of his t-shirt as she slowly pulled it off. He smirked as he finally kissed her lips, slowly and coordinated at first but the kiss getting sloppier as her fingers pressed against his bare skin. He tried shifting her as his hands cupped her breasts now, kneading them as he pleased.
She let out a soft moan, as he deepened the kiss, his tongue now sliding in. Tom took her waist in his hands as he then tried to pick her up.
“What are you doing?” She asked between kisses as he tried moving her.
“Sh,” was the only response he gave her. But he reached for something under the seat desperately . He finally reached for something as he pushed the car seat back, giving them slightly more space to move.
He kissed her again, smiling slightly against her lips.
He managed to pull off her shirt, revealing the red lacy bra she had so kindly and carefully chosen.
He took a second to stare at it, catching his breath as he stared at the red bow in the middle of her breasts.
“Fuck, you’re so beautiful, y/n,” he gasped as he looked at her face now, with her hair puffed up, and only her eyes covered with slight mascara and a faint pink from the makeup she’d worn at the party. A trace of red lipstick was seen there too.
She grinned at him as she pulled him back down to meet her lips with him, she giggled against the kiss.
“I hate you but I can’t believe how beautiful you are,” he caressed her cheeks with his lips. He dug into his pocket and took out his wallet, searching for the condom.
She didn’t say anything as she slightly bucked her hips against his, her core pooled from every single kiss he had placed on her body, she grinned herself against him to get a sort of friction. Tom managed to move just slightly to path down his way to her chest, leaving a trail of his kisses as it shined with the streetlight.
Her hands went down to his sweatpants that were hiding nothing as his hard length was begging to come out. Her slick hand found its way inside his sweatpants as she palmed above his boxers. He only curved up his hips as she started to graze the tip of his cockhead, as it twitched with the slightest touch.
He curved again but now hitting the claxon, both of them scared by the loud noise, they laughed at each other.
“Fuck,” she muttered under her breath as she tried to hide her giggles. “We have to be careful.”
“No shit,” he laughed as his hands migrated to her thighs, opening her as he managed to pull down her own sweats, revealing the red lacy panties matching with her bra. “All dolled up for me?” He asked cockily as his fingers brushed the little bow on the fabric.
She bit her bottom lip as he found his way down to nuzzle her breasts. She was feeling just slightly guilty that Tim had kissed her just hours before. The little space they had could only give them such movements, but her hand didn’t leave his cock as she traced it up and down, his length swelling up . He  moaned just slightly and cursed under his breath as he pushed down his underwear, he couldn’t help it anymore.
“I need you,” she whispered. “Tom, I need you,” she moaned. He wrapped the condom around him.
He nodded fervently as he finally without any warning, pulled down her red panties and pushed into her. He had to take a deep breath as he felt her drenched pussy covering him up. She moaned, enjoying the full blister as he had filled her up.
“So tight,” he moaned as he shifted above her, slowly bucking his hips up and down, her hands landed on his ass, as if trying to push her further into her.
“Oh god,” she gasped, as she danced her own hips around him, with the reduced space they had to barely move but the friction against the seat.
Tom was deep buried in and he slowly started to hip in and out quickly, finding a pace that had y/n moaning his name, but he covered her mouth, and she pushed him further in, trying to avoid another claxon accident as before.
And the windows were fogging up from the heat created between them. Y/N needed to get her grip as Tom kept pushing into her, filling her up until he could feel himself in her stomach roughly. His lips trying to catch hers in between gasps and moans.
“Tom,” was all she could say as her fingers painted down in the blurred window. Her back now moving faster with the help of her sweat.
She was rolling her eyes back with delight as Tom was hitting her right in the spot, she reached down to circle her clit but Tom replaced her hand with his, as he circled it slowly, teasing her at first. But then rubbed it fast enough for her to wash out her orgasm.
But her own hands scratched his back as she was trying to catch her own breath,  as she tried to get a grip of the reality that was going in between. The smell of sweat combined with his lotion and her own perfume. The taste of beer combined with her own taste of cherries.
She couldn’t hear anything, only his gasps and her name coming from under his breath. She moaned just slightly as he thrust in and out, a fast rhythm, that was getting sloppier with each thrust.
He was shaking and he finally curved in, he groaned but then finally shivered as he came right into her, her clenching pussy just tightening it.
He moaned her name, throwing his head back as he then plopped himself above her, catching her breath. He finally pulled out but remained kissing her neck.
*
He kissed her once again, as she caught her breath, little gasps as her fingers swirled around his hair. She stared into his caramel eyes and then cupped his face, pecking his lips just slightly, his hair now combined with droplets of his sweat and the water from his earlier shower. His cheeks red as he continued kissing her.
“Shall we go for that ride now?” He asked, chuckling slightly.
“I don’t know if I can drive,” she admitted as she moved her legs, panting softly.
He smirked cockily. “Hm, I’ll be driving your car then.”
She rolled her eyes as he tried to sit up, once against hitting the claxon letting out a loud noise.
 They laughed at each other.
“Well if Haz wasn’t up, then he sure is by now,” he chuckled.
He pulled up his underwear and sweatpants.
“Mmh, drive shirtless,” she pleaded.
He smirked. “Alright.”
The ride was quiet at the beginning. Y/n had put in Tom’s t-shirt. Tom’s hand would land on her thigh every now and then but y/n would flick it off. However, her own hand hadn’t left his leg. He would cough and slightly move trying to remain calm. Y/N only smirked.
“You  hungry?” He asked, as his hand landed on Hers, squeezing it slightly.
“Yeah, a bit.”
“I’m craving breakfast,” he commented as he brought her hand to his lips, kissing it lightly.
“At 1am?” She laughed pulling her hand back.
“Why not?”
“Isn’t like a worldwide known rule not to have breakfast with your booty call?” She pointed out.
He laughed. “I love how you keep calling me a booty call.”
“Well aren’t you?” She giggled.
He grinned. “Well, but it’s not the morning so it wouldn’t be cheating the rules, it’s against the rules to have breakfast the next morning.”
“Huh.”
He chuckled. “And I know this place that’s open 24/7.”
“But isn’t it against our other rules? We are enemies, Holland.”
“I’ll make you choke on a waffle, don’t worry,” he pushed. “And besides we can get it to go and have it somewhere else, therefore… Not breaking any rules.”
She sighed. “Fine. Let’s go have breakfast.”
-
Y/N had to give him his shirt back as they went to the place. But as soon as they were back in the car, y/n was hesitating. She would be driving now.
“It’s late, Tom I should probably go back home,” she reminded him. “I’ll drive you home and—“
“Or we could go to the treehouse,” he commented.
“The treehouse? At 3 in the morning?” She laughed. “I’m not sneaking into your parents’ house.”
“Why not?” He laughed. “It’s not sneaking in, really, I’ve got the keys, and I’m allowed to go there.”
She chuckled. “You really want to take me to your parents’ house to have breakfast?”
Tom scrunched his nose. “Well if you put it that way.”
“That would get you in trouble wouldn’t it?”
“Maybe.”
“Let’s go then,” she smirked as she took a sip of her milkshake.
And they were quiet for the ride, as Tom would only sing along to the songs playing on the radio. Y/n’s old car couldn’t play anything but cassettes, which at the moment Tom didn’t really want to listen to. He knew most cassettes had been a gift by Timmy.
He had been honest, he loved her car. An old, silver vintage car.  It belonged to her grandparents and she had been keen on getting it back on.
Tom only watched her as she was licking the tip of her lips and focused on the road. Or so did Tom think.
Because what he didn’t know was that y/n was debating with herself over the current events. The fact that Harry was engaged. The fact that Timmy had kissed her and the fact that she had ended up having car sex with Tom anyway.
But she stayed quiet, and even quieter as they sneaked into the Holland’s household, y/n trying not to chuckle as they made their way to the garden.
They managed to climb to the top, y/n being helped by Tom as they tried to get their breakfast intact as they pushed it up.
Eventually, they were at their old treehouse, where there were too many memories for them to even remember.
Their breakfast hadn’t really survived as the now soggy pancakes and waffles were crumbled up. They didn’t care anyway.
Tom had been brushing her hand for a while now as they peacefully and quietly ate. They were on the floor of the treehouse sitting right in front of each other. The food placed in front of them as they both ate from each other’s plate.
“Are we gonna talk about it, though?” She asked as she pulled back her hand just as Tom had brushed it again. This was too nice for it to be real. She was only expecting Tom to pull any kind of stupid stunt he liked to pull.
Tom cleared his throat, glancing slightly at her. “What?”
“Your brother? going insane?”
Tom laughed, “Ah you think it too?”
“It is insane, he asked me about it like two weeks ago and—“
“You said no, right?” He frowned.
“Yes I said no, I told him that he should wait—“
“Because he should!” Tom agreed.
She looked down at the waffle with strawberries. “This is crazy.”
Tom licked remaining syrup off his fingers. “Haz didn’t agree with me.”
“And Tim didn’t agree with me.”
“Ugh,” Tom groaned.  “Timothee Chalkboard.”
She only smiled, rolling her eyes. “Why do you hate him?”
“He’s dumb—“
“He’s not.”
“ and I can’t believe you are so smitten with him.”
“We’ve had this conversation before, Tom,” she rolled her eyes.
He chuckled as he stared down at the food. “God but what do you see in him?”
Y/n cleared her throat. “I am not dating him anymore, I’m not—”
He smirked. “Oh, so you are not into him.”
“That’s not what I said,” she rolled her eyes.
Tom scooted closer, as he poked her with a soggy bite of waffle. “Are you into someone else?”
She groaned cleaning her cheek. “Hm no, not really,” she looked away. “But going back to your brother it’s crazy right?”
“Super crazy like Harry you’re so-”
“Young! Yes, and they’re not—”
“Ready!” Tom finished growling. “I mean they do love each other.”
Y/n nodded. “But it feels off right?”
Tom nodded in agreement as he smiled at her.  “Gosh, who are we? Agreeing on something?”
Y/n laughed. “Right?”
“We sleep together and we agree on things?” Tom squeezed his eyes.
“Ha, maybe everyone was right,” she commented.
“Huh, maybe they were,” Tom grinned.
Because truly everyone was right. Even if they were stupid enough to admit it.
“This place brings back so many memories,” Tom admitted as he looked around, it looked dusty and old and really forgotten. Some toys were there, boxes full of crayons. Stories waiting to be told.
“Yeah, like the time you pushed me off and I broke my ankle,” y/n recalled.
Tom laughed. “I’m sorry, I was an asshole.”
“Was?” She questioned. “I’m probably being poisoned right now.”
“Mmh,” he reached for her pancake. “I didn’t, see?”
“You haven’t had any of my milkshake, could be here,” she pointed out as she took a sip.
He grinned. “You figured my evil plan, killing you with milkshake.”
She chuckled. “But so many memories, yes,” she looked around. “I think this is the place where we filmed amazing movies here, you remember?”
“I do,” he laughed. “But please we have more memories rather than only when children.”
“I remember that one time when you were...17 I think and you got drunk and jumped off and landed on me,” she recalled again.
“Shit, that was your... “
“Elbow, yep,” she laughed. “You really have a thing with breaking my bones, huh?”
He smirked. “Yeah, almost broke your legs tonight.”
“Shut up,” she rolled her eyes.
“No, but… Really, I’m sorry I was a real asshole to you all these years,” he apologized.
“Oh, so this is what I needed? We had to have sex for you to finally realize what big of an asshole you were?”
He gulped. “No, I knew it.”
“That makes it worse,” she groaned as she rolled her eyes.
“I know.”
“But,” she chuckled. “All good now, you bought me a pancake so I can’t be mad at you,” she grinned as she took a bite. “That is until you come up with another type of bullshit.”
“So pancakes now, huh? Not yellow flowers got it,” he smiled sadly.
“Yes, pancakes,” she cleared her throat, as she then reached for her backpack, pulling out a Polaroid camera. “Wait, smile.”
Tom watched her but then smiled at her, posing as he took a bite. And y/n snpped the picutre, as Tom leaned over to see it, and then y/n waited for the picture to dry out, she could feel him breathing against her neck, he placed a soft kiss on her shoulder and she knew it when it finally revealed itself, so simple, a picutre of Tom biting on a waffle in the middle of the night. But she knew it, she’d give it a go.

Ah, Shit- Here we go Again- Sinners and Saints(2)
TW: death, kidnapping, blood.
Six months later.
Artemis wiped her blade clean with a cloth before she placed it back into its sheath. She looked back at the bodies. Two men, late twenties with throats sliced clean. Silenced. With a sigh she pushed back her bangs, crossing the room to the window she had entered from and slipped out, balancing on the edge as she took out her grappling hook. She shot it and it attached to another building and Artemis dropped down, swinging back up onto another rooftop and rolling as she landed. Back on her feet, she straightened up and twisted the watch on her wrist. ”Who’s next..” she muttered to herself. A digital list sprang up, the names of targets she had that night springing up. Artemis’s job was a simple one; Kill those who had found out about what the Reapers do. Anyone who had found out about the extraction of Mythic’s powers (mythics are people/creatures with special abilities of any kind) or any other crimes were to be killed. The reapers slunk in the shadows and hid but Artemis knew they were building their way up and covering up their crimes. Artemis had always wondered how the Reapers were able to expand and have resources to do what they do, to have so many connections. Then she remembered money. People would do anything for a dollar in their pocket. It had been a cruel lesson to learn for Artemis.
She looked at the last name on the list. Strangely, it looked familiar.
Paige Neoma.
She couldn't remember where she had heard it before . Must still be loopy from yesterday's training..
She tapped on the name with a finger, the address springing up with the directions to where she was located. Artemis peered at the time then. Since she was trusted enough to go on assignments alone again she had a curfew; Midnight. It was eleven. Better hurry this shit up.
The location was one Artemis hadn’t expected. It was an abandoned warehouse. The building loomed over dead grass, decaying and old. She had visited here many times before. It was an escape, a place she could sneak out of when her father was drunk or passed out. Why are the directions leading here? No one lives here. I barely come here anymore. She chewed the knuckle knuckle on her index finger, her foot tapping on the crunchy grass. It must be another one of Vincent’s tests.. Her heart pounded a bit faster at that thought. Oh, God. If he finds out- if he found out I snuck out here back then..
She held her breath and took a step back, looking back at the rest of the city. Her throat felt tight. It didn't matter how long ago it was, he would still be pissed. He could be pissed for no reason.
I could get away. She turned around and looked out at the other buildings. No, they'd find me..
She shook her head and swallowed, pushing the thoughts away. She looked towards the big doors of the warehouse. She knew it was a trap. But once again, there wa sno choice she had.
Whatever happens.. I can take it. Whatever it is..I’ll take it.
Artemis exhaled slowly and walked back up to the doors. She then forced the doors open with a loud creak before she stepped into the old building. The doors shut behind her with a slam.
Inside, it was dark. Only one light was turned on. Inside smelled of mold and dust. But it was.. comforting. Better than the cleanliness smell of chemicals, trying to mask the stench of blood and torture at the Reapers base.
Artemis sighed and walked towards the middle, towards the light. The rest of the warehouse was dark, and she hated the way it looked like the shadows were crawling towards her. Goosebumps rose on her arms and on her neck.
She walked up to the middle of the room and stood there for a moment, looking around quietly. Before, Artemis would come during the day, when it was oddly welcoming. But now it was just menacing and.. honestly? Scary. Maybe because it meant Vincent might be lurking inside.
There was a light ruffling noise heard and Artemis jerked her head towards where the sound had come from, her hand instinctively moving to her bow on her shoulder. But she knew fighting against Vincent wouldn't help, so she lowered her hand. Her hand curled into a fist and her nails dug into her palms. Breathe.
But then she heard footsteps behind her and she turned, to see...Not Vincent. A girl had stepped into the dim lighting. She had black hair and stood tall, dressed in a black long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up. Paige Neoma. The name came back to her then. She had seen it on the news back home- A girl who had gone missing. She was a Mythic- A dangerous one the reporter had said. But all Mythics were deemed dangerous. Artemis stared at the girl. So this wasn’t a trap. Still, the unease didn’t fade. Artemis was never meant to kill Mythics; They could be useful. So why was she on the list? And why was she waiting for her?
"Artemis.." Paige said. Her voice was calm and smooth. She took a step forward. Artemis took one back, eyes scanning over her. “How do you know my name?”
The girl didn’t answer her question. “I need to speak to you.” “Could you have done it in a less creepy way?” Artemis narrowed her eyes. “What’s going on here?” “I need you to come with me.” “Who are you, a fuckin’ cop? Cause if so, that’s a shame because you’re pretty cute.”
Paige looked perplexed. She just shook her head. “No, I’m not a cop-” “That’s exactly what a cop would say.”
“What? Wh- Whatever. You need to come with me. I’m not taking no for an answer.” “Sure, then.” Paige stared again. She looked surprised, but she nodded slightly. “Right, then.. Follow me.” She began to walk, turning her back to Artemis. Artemis could see a sword on her back in it’s hilt. “Just kidding! God, how stupid can you be? I have a curfew, miss.” Artemis pulled out her grappling hook and swung up to the rafters before Paige turned around. She balanced on a rafter, right beside a window. She turned and opened it, before the corner of her eye caught a blue flash. Artemis glanced back behind her and her eyes widened. There, Paige was below. But now she had wings. Her wings were large and the blue faded from them. The inside of her wings were black and the outside white. “Motherfucker-” Artemis turned and pushed herself out the window, her grappling hook swinging her away from the building. A line shot out from the gun and connected to the building, and Artemis soared into the air, swinging up high. When she was really up there the line retracted and shot out again, as she flipped and continued to 'fly' around the city. She moved smoothly in the air as she fled.
As she was swinging she glanced behind her and saw Paige, her wings spread, flying towards her quickly. Artemis grinned and turned back around, attaching to another building and making a sharp turn to the right. Her hair blew back out of her face. She hadn't had this much.. fun in a while.
She was grinning, weirdly. When she was swinging around the city like that, it was like the wind rushing against her simply blew all her worries and issues away. And her heart sped up, but always in a good way. Not in fear or terror like usual.
The chase continued for a while, and Artemis glanced back once more, to find that the winged girl was no longer following her. Satisfied, but a little sad at the end of the chase, she turned back around in front of her-
To find Paige directly in front of her, slamming into her. Artemis's eyes widened and she let go of the gun. She squeezed her eyes shut as they collided, wind rushing through her ears. In the next second her back slammed down onto something hard- a roof-and she tumbled with Paige.
The two girls rolled on the roof Paige had tackled Artemis upon, and when the two finally stopped Artemis opened her eyes and wheezed, and the two girls scrambled up onto their feet. Artemis whipped out her dagger and aimed it at Paige’s throat the same time Paige’s sword blade rested on hers. Artemis’s eyes ran over the blade and then to Paige’s face. The girl tilted her head and her eyes bore into Artemis. They were blue, the same shade as Vincents. Artemis stared at her nose instead.
"Go ahead and do it, Neoma," Artemis said with a playful smirk. "You won't get what you want if you do. But I will. I'll get death so it's a win for me-"
Paige's eyes narrowed slowly. She was covered in bright colors from the smoke bombs. "And if you kill me, you'll create extra problems for yourself, won't you? You aren't allowed to kill me.”
"No. But what makes you think I won't drag your ass back to my people? Huh?"
At that, Paige's eyes softened and she half smiled, matching Artemis’s smirk. "You won't. You don't even want to wear that uniform, do you?" With her other hand, she gestured to Artemis's white uniform. She moved her blade up and sliced the mask she was wearing. It fluttered to the ground in the cool night breeze.
Her eyes widened slightly and she flinched away from the blade slightly. She pressed the blade against Paige's throat tighter. Yet, the winged girl didn't move an inch. Artemis glanced down at herself, to the mask, then at Paige. She held the blade tighter. "You don't know anything about what I want, lady. Honestly, I want some mental stab-"
Paige sighed, cutting her off. "Look.. one more chance to come willingly."
Artemis tilted her chin up and arched one eyebrow. "Mm.." There was a silence. She could only hear the wind blowing in her ears, and the noises of the city below.
Paige smiled wider. “Come on. Don’t you want to come with the pretty lady?”
“We haven’t established if you’re a cop or not yet, so-” “What police department would let me be a cop? I’m a mythic, remember?” “That’s true.”
There was a small beep and Artemis’s watch flashed. Fuck. Midnight.
In the next moment, Artemis grabbed the sword blade and yanked Paige closer, despite the blade cutting her hand. As Paige went forward Artemis slammed her knee into her stomach, before shoving her down and turning. She ran to the edge of the roof and pushed off. When she was mid-leap, she heard a loud whooshing noise. In the exact same second, arms wrapped around her as a body slammed into her. Son of a-
Yet again, the two slammed onto the roof together. Artemis rolled again, coming to a stop on her stomach. She tried to push herself up, but then an arm hooked around her neck. Artemis coughed and struggled as she felt weight on her. The damn bitch had her in a chokehold. Artemis rolled, lying on Paige. She clawed at the girl’s arms. Still, Artemis could speak. “Let go!” The girl didn’t let go. “I gave you a chance!” “Let go! I said for you to let go! He’s going to be mad!” Artemis snarled, but then Paige squeezed and cut off her air. Artemis kicked uselessly and clawed at the girl. Panic was beginning to set in. Even as Artemis thrashed, the girl didn’t let go. Soon enough, black spots covered Artemis’ vision and she slipped away into unconsciousness.

Freya 'Wraith' Helvig, Ex-NIS, Perseus
Behind the Perseus safehouse 'Hidden Angel', north of Los Angeles
Along the day, my only task was to watch over Bell who was still at the same place as always: at her desk, working on the numerous file that we were giving her while some of us were away, decrypting the remaining and give it to us as we were preparing on our side, a cleaning up of the rogue cell in Los Angeles, and then, leave this city for good & maybe go back in Europe...been here wasn't the best thing I could enjoy at the moment and that feeling was shared by Bell herself, just by looking at her...
She was very...uninterested in what we were doing here but she was doing her job without asking too many questions and when we were asking questions about what she managed to work on, she could say that she don't remember before going back to work on something else as if nothing happens. If it was nothing important as she was working, I could say that there was something wrong with her and what I succeeded to see in here shows that my doubts are confirmed, I saw right into her moves that she was hiding something from us...and that something...it was obvious. I wrote a report to only Bellamy, asking him to find me in the back of the safe house for a talk, about everything & nothing...
Bellamy was late for the meeting I demanded him to attend but it was normal, he was out in town during the whole day with Aldrich. I was patiently waiting for him right below the only functional light of the place on the outside, my back against the brick wall as I was looking up in the dark skies of California, a little cigarette between my lips until I could hear some footsteps coming at my direction...
"You're late," I spoke up first, keeping my head up before I turned it around to see Bellamy arriving from the corner, his right hand behind his head to scratch it.
"Sorry, been busy with the American," He apologized, walking to me, his eyes trying to avoid me, looking away on the horizon. "Made me almost run all around the city with his stupid contacts," He added, stopping at least 2 meters from me, not getting into the light above me.
"It's okay, I've been waiting for not long actually," I told him the truth, having known that he will be late because of Aldrich, it was predictable.
"Yeah, Aldrich isn't the guy I want to put my life on," Bellamy commented, putting his hands in his jacket to grab something that was just a pack of cigarettes. "And I don't want to have to protect his ass around every day," He complained, taking out a cigarette from the pack and putting it between his lips as he put the pack back in his jacket. "You have a light?" He asked me.
"Sure," I replied with a nod as he took a step to get to me while I was taking from a pocket, the lighter I'm always having on me, moving my hands with the lighter to get his cigarette on.
"Nice lighter," He complimented at it, his eyes looking at it with curiosity.
"Got it during my time in the NIS, reminds me a little from Norway," I explained with a smile, the lighter in the palm of my left hand before I put it back inside my jacket, Bellamy blowing a little cloud of smoke from his mouth. "How're things with your girlfriend?" I demanded at him, deciding to have a personal discussion before a professional one.
"Portnova?" He said, slightly turning his head at me. "I don't know, it's been since we're here that I didn't have time to contact her," He muttered, sounding a bit sad in his voice as he looks down at his feet.
"You should contact her when you have time," I advised him, trying to stay positive for him.
"Yeah...if I have time," He let out a sigh at this remark from me, his cigarette between his right index & ring finger. "Been busy every day to either keep Krypto or moving around to work," He added, shaking his head before taking a breath. "Any news from Europe, by the way?" He questioned me as I'm the leader here and the first one to know of the events in Europe.
"Well, Naga & Jackal managed to get the data from the Yamantau with the help of Kitsune," I started, going to tell everything that I learned today with the phone calls I did, just seeing a bit of confusion when I pronounced Kitsune's name at him but it must be not important. "Stitch has to report his comeback in the team as Perseus reported the important talk he wanted to have with him," I resumed, a feeling of relief crossing my mind when I heard about this...better let the other away for the moment from Bell...
"My father called me yesterday about it, said that Stitch will maybe come back when we're finished here," Bellamy told me as I nod to him, having heard the same thing today. "Apart from that, anything else?"
"For the moment, we need to wait for the data to be seen by our experts," I continued in my little briefing of the situation, blowing some smoke with my cigarette. "Now, we need to continue to work here until we're done and see what's our next big move," I finished, putting the back of my head against the wall, biting the right part of my lips. "Keeping an eye on Bell & putting down that rogue cell," I whispered, looking up in the skies again.
"The usual..." Bellamy mumbled.
"The usual," I repeated, joining him in that thought, my voice sounding low as if I was also getting in the same way of thinking as Bell about that rogue cell situation. "Anyway, let's get down to what we need to talk about," I said to him after a little breath, ready to talk about what we need to say.
"I'm listening," Bellamy put himself against the wall, crossing his arms and looking on the horizon.
"As you maybe know, there's a rift that got open between Knight & Bell after she got herself angry in the sudden," I passed my left hand below my nose while I'm telling Bellamy of this. "And this morning, Knight literally refuted Bell as she was trying to apologize and since the two didn't talk to each other," I continued in my words, Bellamy staying attentive.
"You want me to do something to get the two to talk normally again, right?" He presumed right in my thoughts, giving him a nod.
"Bell is sleeping right now after I got her to drink her rigged coffee so tomorrow night, I'm letting you going into town to take a drink with her," I suggested to him, his face looking curious as long I was giving him what to do with Bell. "Knight will join you but he will not know that Bell is with you," I added, scratching the side of my head with my right hand. "For the rest, you improvise, what to talk about but nothing related to Rebirth," I advised him, pointing him with my hand.
"Understood," He complied, a nod coming from him even if his face wasn't in the same complying mood.
"There's also something else I need to know," I took a deep breath as I got myself away from the wall, giving Bellamy a serious look. "I want you to make a call to your sister and give me details about a certain member of the CIA's team that's tracking us,"
"Who?" He demanded, narrowing his eyes at me.
"Helen Park," I replied, saying that name as it wasn't the best thing to say for me. "That woman...Bell must have known her," I commented, looking away from Bellamy, my right fist clenching and hiding it from him. "This morning, I saw Bell's eyes looking hypnotized by that woman...Bell is slowly getting back a little part of her past," I told him with a bad voice as it was something that shouldn't have happened.
"I thought that her past was erased," Bellamy though, hearing him behind me getting away from the wall.
"It's supposed to do that, MK-Ultra is supposed to have done that, we're drugging her, we're giving her the needed doses and still, she's managing to remember things that she shouldn't remember," I complained, biting my bottom lip before I turn around to look at Bellamy. "Still, I need Infos about that Helen Park," I repeated.
"I'll contact Liliya as soon as I can," He said, rolling his eyes around before taking a little breath. "Why do you need it?" He asked me, getting curious about that demand. "Is it because Park could be a danger to us just with her alone or it's something else?" He clarified himself in his question, his hand tapping over his arms as they were crossed above his chest.
"Just do it, Bellamy," I warned him, throwing my cigarette on the dirty ground and crushing it with my feet before I decide that it was time for me to get back inside, been done with Bellamy here.
"Is it love...or manipulation you're doing with her?" He demanded, making me stop in my walk to go away back to the door at the front, my eyes closing to think about it even if I already know about it well.
"You know well of it, Bellamy, to control her better, someone needs to be close to her," I responded to his question as he was getting back against the wall after he was turned at me. "I'm the best on that domain, I'm taking the risk," I added, giving him my thoughts on that subject before I resumes my walk, leaving him alone to smoke the remaining of his cigarette while I was going back inside...love or manipulation?...
Why would there be any love in here?

???????????????????????
Somewhere in West-Berlin
West-Berlin...I really hate that city and that man decide that it was better than our meeting will take place in that divided city and of course, I was forcing myself to comply with his demands to meet here...as if travelling a lot for me in a few days wasn't really enough for me, I'm the one that has to move their ass as he insisted that he couldn't go anywhere without been spotted but I couldn't really refuse to him, he got what I need...I got what he need...what a better deal...in a shitty place.
He told me to wait near a wasteland near the outskirts of the city and of course, he was late to show up, finding myself to wait under the rain, hiding in the shadows of an alley that was hopefully linked to that wasteland. He was supposed to meet me at midnight but here I am at 1 AM and soon 2 in the morning at waiting in a stupid alley under that fucking rain with him getting late, and then, I could take a relieved breath when I saw the car arriving in the middle of the wasteland.
To make sure that it wasn't a trap from him, I decided to wait in the shadows for at least two minutes before the car front lights start to blink, making some sort of a signal, meaning that it was him and not a trap, allowing me to get out of the alley and join him, hopefully, opening the passenger seat for me before I could get inside and finding myself sitting with that man...
"You're late, we were supposed to meet at midnight," I told him straight with a not-so-happy voice, shaking my head a bit.
"I've got business to do," He said to me in a normal voice, his hands staying on the steering wheel, the radio going on as his right hand moves to get the audio low. "My operation needs a lot of things to get ready to use," He added, turning his head at me.
"I've got what you need," I sighed, seeing him already going straight in the subject as I took out the thing he wanted from me: a hard disk. "Everything on the Numbers Program and as a bonus, what you need against Perseus," I exclaimed, showing him the hard disk in my left hand.
"Thanks," He started to move his right hand towards it and take it in his hand before I avoid him fully take it away from me.
"Our deal first," I reminded him of this, using a very serious voice as he looks at me behind his glasses. "I got you what you need, you got what I need," I made myself clear, a sort of struggle between us with that hard disk.
"Of course," He mumbled, his eyes going on me. "I'll get you out of the top wanted cybercriminals, everything from the CIA and you becoming a mole inside the Collective as you give me the data of the Numbers Program," He remembered to me the deal we put before I decides to let my hand go off the hard disk, giving it entirely to him.
"Good," I sighed, happy with that choice before I looks through my window at my side. "I still don't understand why you're doing this, to be honest," I commented.
"Necessary sacrifices have to be made, it's always for the greater good," He claimed, making me turn my head around to look at him, curious at it. "Going off-grid is the only solution to bring Perseus down, you don't understand the war I'm making, do you?" He asked me.
"I do now," I simply responded to him without any things to say actually to that question.
"You know what to do now, I presume?" He whispered, taking a cigarette out of his jacket to light it up, putting it between his lips.
"Yes, you need me to get something from the Perseus Task Force that wants to get you," I told him, knowing well of his intentions about it. "Don't worry, I know a friend...surely resting at the moment on the West Coast,"
"Good," He mumbled, nodding at me as he looks through the middle mirror. "I guess that I'll leave you to go to work on that mission," He presumed right, not wanting to stay with him any longer but at least, I got what I needed. "Remember, you have a job to do, Kitsune!" He reminded me as I got out of the car, stopping before I could close the door to look at him...
"Don't worry, Adler, you can count on me!"

Come Home to My Heart, Chapter 10 [Final] (Lemyanka) - Plastiquedoll
read on ao3 ✨| previous chapters
A/N:I started writing this and I was like “so it’s going to be around 15k words top” and HERE I AM… no self-control whatsoever… anyway, I’m very happy with the result. If you have made it this far, thank you so much I hope you had a good time reading it and if it put a smile on your face I’ll be more than joyful 💛✨
-10-
Priyanka never –in a million years- thought she was going to feel as relieved as she was when she heard the sound of her car’s engine working again. Yes, maybe it wasn’t the newest car or the best car and yes… it was a gas-guzzler that ate her salary like a snack… but it was her car.
“Have you considered selling it?” The mechanic asked while he cleaned some grease with a rag.
“What?” That man was messing with her.
“One of my clients saw it the other day and liked it, said something about having one like this when she was younger. She asked me if I could extend her offer.”
“No, I mean…” She shook her head. “It’s not for sale, it’s my car and…”
The man handed her a piece of paper with a number written on it.
“Wow… and this is… wow.”
It was more money than what her car costed with the repairs and spare parts included. Way more…
“Can I make a quick call? I’ll be right back” She grabbed her phone from her backpack and called her father.
“Hello?”
“Hi, dad… I’m at the mechanic’s and there’s someone who wants to buy my car…” Her father cackled. “Don’t laugh, I’m serious.”
“Sorry… Your mother is going to be very happy about it. She has been trying to make you get rid of it for years and now you finally have the chance to…well, get rid of it.”
“I mean, I know I won’t get a better offer than this but at the same time… this is my baby and we fought so hard to have it back fully functioning.”
“The alternative was taking it to the junkyard.”
“Does everybody want to see my car turned into a cube of scrap? No need to answer to that.” She took a deep breath. “Do you think you can call the mechanic and check if the offer is legit?”
“I can drop by after lunch and talk to him if you want.”
“Please, that would help a lot.”
She needed to know if this person was serious about paying that amount of cash for her jalopy. Damn it, not jalopy, her car.
“My dad is going to come over after lunch to talk to you if that’s okay.” She explained to the mechanic. “Please don’t tell your client anything yet… I’m not sure I want to sell it.” She scratched her neck.
“No problem, miss. But I should give her a response by tomorrow at the latest.”
“I understand. You’ll have it.”
Priyanka drove back with her car with the windows down like she had done the first time she drove around the town, no music this time, just the tender summer breeze. When she stopped to refuel and at the gas station, she spotted a familiar yellow car parked across the street.
She honked her car horn causing the blonde to turn around with a grumpy frown on her face until she recognized the car and the owner.
“Well, well, well… look who’s back on the road.” Lemon lowered her sunglasses to take a look.
“Guess who’s back, back again.” Priyanka tapped the door with her hand before stepping out of the car.
“That’s something I didn’t think I’d see. I must admit it even looks charming without the smoke coming off the engine.”
“Yeah… that’s-”
She was on her regular witty comments but Priyanka noticed she had big dark circles under her swollen eyes that she kept behind her glasses.
“Hey, are you okay?”
“Me? Ah, you mean… It’s nothing, just my allergies acting up.” She made light of the situation. “I was about to drop by the pharmacy to buy some medicine, actually.”
“Oh, I see… So… Did you two have fun yesterday?” Priyanka leaned back in the vehicle.
“It was cool… for a stupid lake.”
“Oh, c’mon, admit it, you did have fun! You were with me.” She playfully bumped her shoulder.
Lemon smiled but Priyanka wasn’t sure that was honest, she couldn’t decipher what it was yet but there was a hint of sadness underneath.
“Is Rita feeling better?”
“Huh? Ah, yes… I should get her some aloe ointment or an after-sun gel.”
“Remember when your mom used to do that thing with the glass of water when we got sunburn after going to the pool? I still can’t believe the water actually had bubbles after it.”
“Yeah…” She shook her head. “I…. She still does it and kids think it’s a magic trick.”
Something was off.
“I’m sorry but I have to ask you, what’s going on?”
Lemon shrugged. “What do you mean?”
“You’re acting weird today.” She crossed her arms on her chest. “Weirder than usual…”
“I’m not…” She rolled her eyes as the most Lemon thing she had done that day.
“Spill it.”
“I’m not-” She looked like she wanted the Earth to swallow her then she looked at Priyanka in the eye. “I’m going back to New York.”
“Next week… I know.”
“This Sunday.”
“What?!”
“I… have a dance thing soon and I figured it would be easier to go back on a day without the heavy traffic since I’m driving alone. Rita’s staying.”
“Oh.” Priyanka blinked twice trying to absorb the new information. “So you’re leaving the day after tomorrow.”
“Yep… I’m staying for one last lunch with my family tomorrow, the dinner at your house, and then I’m heading back early in the morning.”
“Okay… Uhm… That’s…” She scratched her head. “Soon.”
“I know it’s a bit rushed but… I’ve been here for a couple more days than you and… It’s weird, I’ve never been away from the city this long, I’m feeling a little homesick already.” She avoided her friend’s inquisitive gaze.
Priyanka nodded. “Alright.” She took a deep breath. “So… would you like to hang out today or…?”
“Uh, I can’t… I promised Rita I’d go shopping with her… you know, this was our bonding trip originally.”
“Oh, right… no problem.” Priyanka cleared her throat. “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow?”
The blonde nodded and whispered. “See you tomorrow.”
And that was their cue to leave separate ways.
Priyanka couldn’t wrap herself around the idea of not having Lemon around. It was like time had slipped off her hands like sand grains and there was nothing she could do.
It wasn’t the end, right? It was their new beginning.
Their second chance…
During Saturday afternoon, Priyanka’s mother kept running around the house making sure everything was perfect as if Lemon hadn’t been there before a million times. Not that Priyanka herself wasn’t nervous to have her back there but she was being more realistic, trying to accept the fact that Lemon was going back to New York meanwhile she was going back to Toronto. Their summer together had been cut short but at least they had the chance to make things right between them and this dinner was the stamp of approval of their flourishing new-old friendship.
Friendship.
It was more than she could aspire from the first time she saw the blonde again. It had been just a week ago but it felt like much more time had passed since then and, simultaneously, it was like time hadn’t passed at all. There was a portion of their lives that would ever be crystalized in the past and it would always look pretty and luminous under the light. That was what she wanted to think, at least.
After helping her mother in the kitchen with the basic knowledge she had of cooking -and as far as she let her help-, Priyanka took a shower and spent a long time trying to decide what to wear.
She didn’t know what kind of energy she wanted to radiate with her clothing, not too much, not too little… Lemon always managed to look good no matter the occasion and she had to live up to it.
She finally picked a simple black and white striped mini dress –actually the only dress she had packed-, she put on a pair of black Converse, brushed her hair, and did her makeup hoping for the best.
Lemon was supposed to be there in fifteen minutes and knowing her Virgo-ass she was going to promptly knock on her door at seven o’clock. Therefore, she had just a couple of minutes to check on the mirror before she arrived.
Priyanka went down the stairs just to discover a family meeting in her living room. Literally, everyone but her sister that lived across the world were there.
“Hi, Priyanka!” They greeted.
“Mom!” She yelled. “Why is everyone here?”
“This is a family dinner,” She said casually. “they wanted to see Lemon too.”
“Why did you tell them she was coming for dinner? I thought it was going to be just us and dad…” She whispered.
“She’s family and you said she was going home tomorrow. They all remember her, after all, you were friends since you were kids…”
“I know that but… Is that our picture from kindergarten?” She walked directly to the wall where all their family photos were. “When did you have the time to put this on?”
“I was cleaning the basement yesterday and I found it… completely unrelated to her visit. Calm down.”
“I don’t believe you…”
“You’re the one wearing a nice dress, look at you. You look beautiful.” Her mother adjusted her glasses to admire her.
“That’s not…” She blushed. “All these people have to leave… It’s too much.”
“You’re overreacting. We’ll have a good time.” She squeezed her daughter’s shoulder trying to comfort her. It worked for a moment.
At least half a dozen people were chatting, drinking, and eating snacks plus a bunch of children running around… it was… chaotic. At least something was cooking in the kitchen and smelled delicious.
Exactly at seven, the doorbell rang. The room went quiet.
“She’s here…”
Her heart was about to burst.
Priyanka ran toward the door and opened it.
“Hey-”
The brunette got out and closed the door behind her before she could say anything else. Lemon –of course- looked lovely with a denim button-front romper along with white sneakers. She had her hair down with some butterfly bobby pins.
“Hi.” Priyanka sighed. “So, long story short… My entire family is inside and they’re thrilled to see you again. I didn’t know they were going to be here… they weren’t supposed to be here but… If you want to run away, this is the moment.”
She stared. “I’m not running away… I told your mom I was going to be here and here I am. Besides, I already know your family.”
“Oh, it has multiplied since you last saw them, trust me.”
“Pri, it’s okay. Don’t worry.” Lemon put loose hair behind her ear.
“Alright… Maybe I’m exaggerating.”
“Look at you, admitting it is the first step.”
There she was, the little spitfire she knew. Maybe Priyanka was just imagining what had happened the day before.
She took a deep breath.
“Okay, let’s go in.” Priyanka linked their arms together and walked in.
They got into the living room where her family was.
“Everyone, look how’s here…” The brunette announced.
At that moment the room greeted her in unison.
Dinner went great –to Priyanka’s relief- after Lemon met the new members of the family and she got questioned for a half-hour, Mrs. Suknanan called everyone to sit at the table. They ate tons of food and told stories about their childhood that made her mother rejoice. Priyanka’s niece, Mel, was glad to see Lemon again as well and, in fact, stuck with her most of the evening.
As she should’ve expected Lemon was the perfect guest for their family dinner. She complimented Priyanka’s mother cooking and helped her with the dishes, she caught up with her cousins and sisters and told them about her life in New York, she even played hide and seek with her nieces and nephews and challenged the brunette to a jump rope competition.
“I’m just saying, you didn’t have to go full Jump in! out there.” Priyanka was still out of breath. “These kids used to respect me… maybe?”
Lemon cackled. “Well, you should’ve practiced when the movie had everyone buying neon ropes.”
They sat on the stairs on the porch at the entrance of the house. It was the first time in the evening they were alone, the voices and laughter could still be heard from the inside.
“Hey, thanks for… you know, hanging out with everyone. You’re kind of good at it.” Priyanka rested her head on the wood column.
“Are you suggesting that I might be… likable?” Lemon pretended to be shocked.
“Maybe…” She shook her head. “Just kidding, you’re great… you’ve always been.”
“No, I’m a bitch and I acknowledge it.”
“Look at you, the first step is admitting it…”
“Fuck off.”
The entrance door opened and Priyanka’s brother carried a sleeping Mel in his arms, his wife behind him was holding the baby, they silently waved at them and then got on their car. They were followed by Priyanka’s sisters and finally the cousins who even hugged Lemon and wished her a safe trip back home.
“I think they all left now. My parents are probably inside drinking tea already.” Priyanka checked the time on her phone. “It’s not too late yet, what do you say if we get some ice cream?”
“I shouldn’t…” Lemon looked at Priyanka and couldn’t say no to her face. “Sure. Let’s get ice cream. Is that place on the Third still open?”
“Yeah! Best ice cream in town, I can’t say it enough, I preach it like a religion.”
“Their chocolate peanut butter was heaven, chocolaty and… buttery.”
“Great descriptive skills… but I get the idea.”
“You were the one who got sick after devouring three cookie dough cones and missed school for two days.”
“I really thought I was going to get my stomach removed or something because my sister told me we were going to the hospital. I cried all day.” She started laughing. “Why do we think things like those when we are kids?”
“Talk for yourself, I’ve always been a logical person.”
“No you weren’t,” She called out. “you thought the moon was made of cheese.”
“Have you ever been to the moon? Do you have actual evidence it’s not made of cheese? That’s all I’m saying.”
“Wow, it’s almost like there wasn’t any scientific proof to contradict that.”
“I was seven…”
“Okay, lunatic, I have my keys; let’s go get the ice cream.”
“Do you want me to get into that…?”
“Don’t complete that sentence.”
“…deathtrap.”
“There she is.” Priyanka spun the keys with her index finger. “For your information, she’s fully functional now.”
“But is it a threat to humankind or…?”
“C’mon, you’re not gonna die… but if you do, we’ll do it together.”
“Ah, nothing excites me more than a Thelma and Louise reboot.”
Priyanka stood up and offered her a helping hand. “The night is young. I’m sure we can find some cliff if you stop whining.”
“Only if we get the ice cream first.” She held her hand.
“See, it’s not that bad.” Priyanka turned on the noisy engine.
On the passenger seat, Lemon rushed to buckle up. “I’m ready… to die.” She crossed her fingers in the air.
Priyanka laughed at loud. “It’s not that bad. At least I know how to use a gear level.”
Before Lemon could protest, they were moving. The night was surprisingly hotter than expected so since the air conditioner was even moodier than the car itself, they had their windows down –Priyanka’s favorite way of driving in town.
Lemon’s old house was on the route and Priyanka drove a bit slower when they got into the familiar neighborhood.
“Oh, look at it…” The blonde smiled softly. “It’s been a while but from the outside, it doesn’t look like it has changed at all.”
“A family is living there, two kids I think.”
“Yes, my dad told me.” Lemon rested her face on the car door as they passed by. “You know, back in the day, we left in such hurry I never got to say goodbye properly to this place. One day my parents were fighting, the next day we were packing and then… we were gone.” She extended her hand in the air as the house was getting behind.
“I remember. You didn’t want to leave.”
“Leaving the house… my life here… you… it was the most difficult thing.” Her voice almost cracked.
Priyanka’s heart skipped a beat. She didn’t want to see Lemon crying.
“Okay, you know what… this visit to the ice cream shop wouldn’t be complete without some music…” She opened the glove compartment in front of the blonde.
“Celine Dion… I expected it.”
“No, under that one… Hey, Celine Dion is a great singer and I’m not ashamed of having her albums there.”
“You mean you have albums in plural?”
“Can you please get past my Celine Dion liking and pick another album?”
“I would but my heart won’t go on…”
“Shut up… that was bad.”
“Well, that’s what you get when you…” Lemon paused as she picked another album. “This is… Spiceworld.”
“The very same.”
“But… is it the one…?”
“It’s the one you gave me… Mine still works although it skips sometimes.”
Lemon’s bottom lip trembled as she had her eyes nailed on the album.
“Hey no… don’t cry,” The brunette put on the CD when they stopped on a red light. “there’s no crying if Spice Up Your Life is playing.”
“I’m not…” She sobbed.
The catchy tune started playing.
“When you’re feeling sad and low…We will take you, where you gotta go.” She encouraged her friend to follow the lyrics.
“Smiling dancing, everything is free… All you need is, positivity”
“C’mon, pre-chorus.”
“Colours of the world… Spice up your life!”
“Every boy and every girl… Spice up your life!”
“People of the world… Spice up your life, ahh!” They yelled at the same time.
Before hitting the chorus, Lemon was already cackling so loud she almost snorted. Priyanka was already laughing she nearly drove past the ice cream shop.
“We’re here.” She announced.
Lemon stared at her for a moment and shook her head before getting out of the car.
“I’m guessing you’re still going to order the cookie dough cone.”
“It takes more than a hospital stay to destroy a lifetime obsession.” She followed the blonde.
“That’s… wrong. You know what, maybe you need an intervention.”
“Uh, imagine something like AA but it’s for people with chocolate cookie addiction.”
“It’d be you and the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street sitting on an empty room.” She opened the door and held it for the brunette.
“But after the meeting, we’d be at the coffee table getting some snacks and guess what… chocolate chip cookies.”
“Utterly triggering.”
An older woman that was in line stared at them, their conversations out of context surely made more than one turn around. However, they didn’t even notice, their bubble was unbreakable.
They ordered their ice cream and sat outside the shop. Priyanka got her cookie ice cream and Lemon indulged herself with a chocolate peanut butter and raspberry double cone. The table was small and it didn’t have much space so they were squished there, comfortably chatting; seen from the outside, it looked like they were on a date.
They were halfway Spiceworld on their way back to Priyanka’s house when Lemon spotted it. Her eyes got wide as soon as she recognized the familiar location; the closed fence with the opening hours written on a wooden sign, the green lights shining inside, the fractured moonlight shining on the surface of the water and the eerie aura of a usually crowded place during the day and empty at night.
“Stop! Stop the car!”
Priyanka stopped the car violently making them shake on their seats.
“Are you insane? Why did you do that?”
“This is the pool,” Lemon looked amused. “the swimming pool we used to come when we were kids, right?”
“Yes?” Priyanka parked the car next to the curb. “Why are you so excited about it?”
“Because… before coming back I had a dream involving this pool… and you were on it!”
“Wait, what kind of dream?” The blonde was already out of the car. “Lemon, Lemon?”
She approached the –obviously- locked gate and tried to peep over it. Needless to say, she was unsuccessful at it and wasn’t very pleased with it.
“We have to get in.”
“Are you trying to trespass private property or something like that?” Priyanka stood, arms akimbo.
“Since when are you the sensible one?” She asked with disbelief.
“…You’re right. I think we can climb over the fence.” She suddenly felt the adrenaline rush.
“That’s the attitude.” She looked around. “Now… what do we do?”
“This was your plan.”
“Yeah… but I don’t usually break the rules so I guess it’s more of your area of expertise.” She batted her lashes, if Priyanka didn’t know better she’d say she was flirting but of course, that was impossible.
“Ha, ha, you’re funny…”
“I think I’m really funny.” She leaned against the fence. “Now… how are we going to get in?”
“Well, climbing seems the obvious choice but…” Priyanka took a look around. “I should tell you I worked here a summer to pay for my car and I know where they keep the spare key.”
“No way…” She gaped. “Wait, were you going to make me climb it on purpose?”
“I should’ve pushed harder just to see how serious you were about it.”
Lemon pushed her lightly.
“Hey! I’m the one getting you the key.” And with that said, Priyanka reached for the hidden key behind a loose brick. “Magic words?”
“Open Sesame?”
“Close enough.” She unlocked the gate and both got into the enclosure.
The green lights were on and it gave the pool a different appearance than what they were used to, everything was tinted under the bulb. The water of the rectangular swimming pool glowed in green. Even they looked fluorescent underneath it.
It smelled like chlorine and summer night.
“They use this color to keep away the insects… apparently it works.” The brunette pointed.
“This is so cool.” She walked around the edge of the pool. “This place hasn’t aged a single day.”
Lemon turned around with a naughty expression on her face. If it was possible, she looked even more beautiful while beaming.
“Are you coming or what?” She started unbuttoning her romper.
Priyanka ran out of words –something that didn’t happen that often but was becoming recurrent with Lemon-; the blonde surely wasn’t concerned they didn’t have swimsuits.
Lemon threw the piece of clothing away to where her sneakers were and jumped into the pool. The drops helped Priyanka to snap out of her rapture, she hurried to take off her dress and get rid of her shoes, once on her underwear she joined the other girl on the water.
She closed her eyes while she was in the air, it all happened in one second, she was floating and then her body impacted on the surface making a big splash, the water wasn’t cold but the temperature difference hit her to the core and made her feel alive. She touched the bottom of the pool and held her breath until her lungs demanded fresh air. Priyanka re-emerged and it took her a moment to get used to it. Her hair was completely soaked, her face was cover in drops and her makeup was ruined but she couldn’t care less.
Lemon had the biggest smile on her face the moment she opened her eyes, her hair had gotten entangled with the bobby pins and she had pushed it back making it look slick.
“So you were too good for a lake but a pool that a thousand kids use is better?”
The blonde threw water to her face.
“Hey!”
“I like this better… fewer people.”
“More like no people at all.”
“Exactly.” She floated around as if she was on a cloud.
“You said you dreamt about this… do you dream about me often?”
Lemon threw more water at her.
“Stop doing that to dodge my questions.” Priyanka swam around.
“I’m not going to answer them anyway.” Lemon giggled.
For a moment they floated in silence under the moon, under the artificial green light, their ears -as most of their bodies- were under the water blocking any sound aside from the movements inside, the way their hands created tiny waves, and how their heartbeats sounded. Priyanka’s kept beating loud enough to compete with a drum.
She stared at her friend and knew she wasn’t going to have another chance like that.
“Lemon…” She called.
“Huh?” The blonde stood up. “What is it?”
“I need to tell you something.” Her mouth was dry; she was shaking under the water. “I-”
At that moment an alarm went on, probably activated by a timed motion sensor.
“Oh shit,” Priyanka shouted. “We have to go. These people know me.”
“Oh my God…” The blonde’s eyes were full of terror.
They rushed to get out of the pool and grab their clothes before dashing out of the place.
“They didn’t have an alarm when I worked here,” Priyanka complained; her pulse racing as they left the pool and jumped back into her car.
The scene was ridiculous, all the dogs of the neighborhood were barking, the alarm kept ringing, Lemon was laughing out loud, Priyanka couldn’t find her keys and they were still in their wet underwear.
“Found them!” The brunette announced and turned on the engine.
She drove a few blocks until they were far enough from the pool and then parked because she couldn’t get to calm down. Lemon had her hand pressed against her chest; they were in the same euphoric state.
They exchanged a glance and burst into laughter at the same time.
“Oh my…”
“That was crazy…” Priyanka rested her head against the header. “I’m still shaking.” Her body was dripping over the seat.
“I know… I can’t believe we just did that.” Lemon took a deep breath. “My heart is beating so fast I might get into cardiac arrest.”
“Right? My hands are trembling… I don’t know how I got to drive this distance, to be honest.”
“Adrenaline, probably. Do you think they have cameras or something?”
Priyanka became pale. “I hope no, they know my parents.”
This made Lemon laugh again.
“Oh, you think it’s funny little rebel?” She poked the blonde’s arm.
“Wait, don’t do that, it makes me ticklish.” She kept laughing.
“You really shouldn’t have said that.” Priyanka automatically started tickling her.
“Stop! Stop!” Lemon kept giggling until she grabbed both of the girl’s wrists with her hands.
Suddenly, they were staring at each other in silence and daringly close. Priyanka hadn’t noticed how transparent their garments had become until that instant or how gorgeous she looked even when the messy hair and bare face.
Lemon wetted her lips as she let go softly. “What were you saying earlier? When we were in the pool…”
“Ah, that… well…” Priyanka took a deep breath, maybe the moment wasn’t gone yet, she still felt a bit courageous.
But then they heard the police sirens of a car passing by –maybe it wasn’t for them but they were still paranoid- so the best was to get out there and return to Priyanka’s house.
Lemon sighed loudly. She covered with the romper, shivering a little.
They were a red light from their destination when the brunette noticed the seats were going to be wet.
“Shit, I’ll have to take the car to the car wash or I’ll have to dry the seats with a hairdryer.”
“You’re taking care of it now?”
“I… actually sold my car this morning,” Priyanka announced.
“What? Okay, first of all, someone’s paying you real money for this? And secondly, I thought you loved this piece of trash.”
“Rude. You’d be surprised about how much I’m getting for it. Some rich lady named Jimbo –yes, that’s her name- wanted to buy it and she paid enough to cover the repairs done.” She held the steering wheel tightly. “And… I do love this car but… I think it’s time to move on to something else. I asked Jimbo if I could take her to one last adventure before handing the keys and I’m glad it’s with you.”
“Oh.” That was all she said.
The car stopped. They had arrived.
“Now, let’s get inside and find some towels.”
“Sure.” She mumbled.
Priyanka gave Lemon a towel and let the girl get dry before putting her clothes back on. The brunette did the same and then they drank some tea her mother had left ready for them. The hot beverage helped them recover the temperature on their bodies and left them feeling warm inside.
“I have your jacket in the trunk of my car… the one you lend me the lake day.”
“Ah, right… I forgot you had it.”
“Well, it helped me not to freeze to death.”
“It wasn’t that cold.”
“Penguin’s butt.”
“Stop saying that.”
“I’ll go get your jacket and be right back.” She pointed at the door and walked out.
Priyanka got a full moment alone and she cursed herself for a full minute.
“Idiot, you’re fucking it up again… She’s leaving and you didn’t tell her a thing or two…”
She shook her head. Lemon was leaving and maybe it was for the best that she hadn’t confessed her feelings. What was the point? They were going different ways again…
Lemon crossed the door. “Here.” She handed the piece of clothing. “Thank you or whatever.”
“You’re welcome.” She threw the jacket over the sofa. “So listen… Uh…”
She stared at her friend. Lemon was breathtaking, every detail of her face was worth being drawn, portrayed, traced… Even the little eyelash resting comfortably on her cheek.
“You have a…” She pointed at her face.
“Uh? What? Is it a bug?” She started touching her cheeks.
“No, just an eyelash… Wait… let me…” She shortened the distance and tenderly brushed the lash off her face.
Lemon’s breathing tickled her skin.
Priyanka stared at her clear eyes for a moment, she hadn’t noticed her hand was still on her cheek.
“Sorry, I got it.” She announced showing the tiny lash on her fingertip.
Lemon smiled at her. “I should leave now… I need to drive early in the morning to avoid the traffic and I should get some sleep.”
“Yeah… I suppose.”
She hoped the disappointment in her voice wasn’t noticeable.
“Pri?”
“Uhm?”
“I’m glad that we’re okay now. Not having you in my life for the past seven years was awful. Let’s not fight again, yeah?” She held her pinky finger in the air. “I promise I won’t break this one.”
“Lemon, you’ll always be part of my life.”
Priyanka sealed the promise with her pinky and then hugged her friend.
Her heartbeats were so loud she was scared Lemon might hear them.
Priyanka opened the door.
“My car is at the end of the street, I can walk from here.”
“Do you want me to walk you there?”
“Nah, it’s okay. I’m fine… I’ll call you from New York as soon as I get there.”
“Yes, do that.” She took a deep breath. “Bye, love you…”
“Love you too.” Lemon blew a kiss in the air.
Priyanka closed the door. She couldn’t watch her leave again.
She started climbing the stairs. Her heart was supposed to be at peace –they were friends again- but she wasn’t happy about it… Lemon was leaving her again and words couldn’t describe how much Priyanka hated the fact there wasn’t something she could do.
Her dad almost bumped into her when she was lost in her thoughts.
“Hey pumpkin, be careful.” He was in his pajamas and a robe.
“Sorry, dad. I was thinking… too much.”
“You always do.” He patted her back. “Did your friend leave already?”
Priyanka nodded. “She has to go back to her home tomorrow morning.”
Her father frowned. “And you two are not spending more time together? You two used to be… joined by the hip? You cried whenever we went to pick you up from her house or when she left.”
Priyanka chuckled. “I remember… yeah…”
“I always thought you two…” He didn’t finish the sentence. “You were truly inseparable.”
She was trying to understand what he was truly saying.
He stared at her.
“And? Don’t stand there looking at me… go.”
“Dad? Are you…?”
He squeezed her shoulder. “It took me some more time but it doesn’t mean that I don’t want you to be happy.”
Priyanka felt her eyes getting watery. She hugged her father tightly.
“We can do this later; your mother is going to kill me if I tell her that you left that girl go.”
“Right…” Priyanka shook her head.
“Go!”
She ran downstairs almost flying over them.
Her father was right.
Her best friend.
The girl she loved.
What the hell was she doing there?
She had to get the girl!
Priyanka opened the door violently.
“Lemon. Lemon!” She yelled but the girl wasn’t on the street. Who cared if she woke some neighbors up? “Lemon!”
Was her car still at the end of the street?
“Oh, hey there…” A voice came from the porch.
Priyanka turned around and noticed the blonde sitting in one corner next to the door.
“Lemon, what are you doing there?”
She was sitting holding her knees against her chest. Priyanka got closer and kneeled next to her.
“I’m waiting to get some courage to knock on your door again and hopefully I’ll be brave enough then to tell you…” She looked at Priyanka in the eye, the words didn’t come.
“Tell me what?” Priyanka asked, desperate.
“That…” She bit her lips. “Forget it, I can’t ruin it… I can’t lose you again.” She was babbling to herself. Then she looked at Priyanka again. “Sorry, I’m just going to leave…”
She stood up and started walking fast.
“Lemon!”
She didn’t turn back. Priyanka stood up and grabbed her by the wrist, making the blonde face her. The tears were already rolling down her cheeks.
“I can’t let my friend walk away while being sad…”
There was a pause, they stared at each other.
“Am I really just your friend?” She finally cried out.
She hadn’t let go of her hand yet.
“No. You’re not… I mean, we used to be friends but…”
The moment… their moment was now or never… she had screwed it up before but she wasn’t going to let it slip again.
“I’m in love with you.” The words sprouted from her chest. “I’m in love with you.” She repeated accentuating every syllable.
“That’s my line,” Lemon complained, faithful to her character.
“Wait… is it? I mean, are you?”
“I’ve loved you all my life, you idiot.” The blonde was suddenly full of anger. “I can’t believe this… why didn’t you say something before?”
“When you say all your life…”
“Oh, for goodness sake… Priyanka I’ve never loved anyone else since that day in kindergarten when you shared your cookies with me and that’s embarrassing.”
“And why didn’t you say something?”
“You didn’t say it either!”
“Because I thought you just wanted to be friends with me!”
“Are you blind? I’ve been trying for days for you to notice… and that day on the stupid lake I really thought you were going to kiss me but you didn’t and then you said that it was never going to happen between us…”
“You heard that?”
“Of fucking course I did… And I cried for hours because I thought my chance was… gone forever… but tonight… I thought, maybe tonight… maybe… but you said those things about moving on to something new… and the last adventure with me…”
“I was talking about my car! You’re not a car… It’s not a metaphor, you know? I’m bad at metaphorical speech.” They were yelling.
“How would I know? You pick the worst moments to say things like those…”
“I said those things on the lake because I thought you wanted to be just friends with me and I didn’t want to make it awkward and I sold my car not because I don’t love it anymore… I did it because it’s old and I cannot travel anymore in that state… I can’t go visiting you with that car.”
“But you said…” Lemon’s bottom lip trembled.
“I know what I said but, after the past couple of days, I realized that, yes, I’ve grown up… I’ve changed but I’m still the same. I still like pop songs from the ’90s, I still like chocolate chip cookies in any existing form, I still like going on adventures, and, most importantly, I still like you… a lot.”
“You… I’m so mad at you…” She got rid of her grip. “I’m literally fuming, you are…” She stared at her brown eyes. “You’re the worst and…”
Before she could finish that sentence, Priyanka shortened the distance, grabbed her face, and planted a kiss on her lips, partially to shut her up and mostly because she had wanted to do that for so long. Lemon relaxed as soon as their lips touched as if her will to fight had abruptly disappeared.
It wasn’t her first kiss, it was a kiss that didn’t compare with the ones before but it would be the parameter for all the ones that would come after. It was a kiss that made other kisses seem insignificant and a kiss that rose up the standards forever.
Lemon smelled like chlorine and summer crush and she tasted like lip-gloss and warm tea. Priyanka entangled her fingers on her hair and pulled her even closer to the point their bodies were merging in a tight embrace.
“So you were saying,” Priyanka whispered when they reached for air.
“Shut up and kiss me again or I’m going to keep finding things to be mad at you.”
And Priyanka –gladly- did it.
They kissed some more while sitting on the porch until their lips were swollen and lightly numbed and then sat cozily with their legs entangled, stars above their heads and singing crickets on the ground. Priyanka thought she could get used to it.
Except, she didn’t have time to.
“Do you really have to go back tomorrow?” She asked, pinching Lemon lightly on her arm.
“I can delay it until Monday but… I have to be back next week for the dancing schedule.”
“Oh… I understand…”
They could have one more day then.
“But,” She began connecting her thoughts. “maybe there’s an alternative…”
“What do you mean?” Priyanka was puzzled.
“I don’t want to go back alone so… what do you say if you come with me to New York? You said you wanted to visit me there someday… why not now? You’re still on your break, aren’t you?”
“Yeah… I am…”
“Jan can stay with Jackie for a couple of days and you can stay with me…”
“Are you serious right now? Do you really want me to go with you?”
“Unless you want to stay with your family for what’s left of your break… I’d understand it.” She shrugged.
“You know what? I have the feeling that my folks are already done with my shenanigans…”
“I mean, who isn’t?”
“One would think that you’d act differently after having someone’s tongue down your throat.”
“Think again.”
“Anyway… Yes. I’ll go back with you.”
The blonde beamed.
“Great, so I can pick you up tomorrow before noon? You’ll need to pack and stuff.”
“I’m ahead of you… I never finished unpacking.”
“You’re actually the worst, did you know?”
“But you still like me.”
Lemon’s reply was to press a quick peck on her lips before she could say something else.
“And…? What happened afterward?” Denali was on the edge of her seat, she could see it even through the computer screen.
“Well… things were alright for a couple of days but then we realized that it was kind of awkward between us and we decided we’re better as friends.” Priyanka shrugged and spun a little on the chair.
“What?!” The other girl’s mouth dropped to the floor. “Are you kidding me right now?”
She shook her head, dead serious. “I guess it wasn’t meant to be after all.”
Denali’s eyes were like a pair of plates.
“Hey, I brought some coffee… Priyanka, are you still telling people we broke up?” Lemon’s voice broke the silence.
“Oh my God… I hate you so much right now…” She buried her face in her hands.
“Gotcha! I can’t believe you fell for that… Kiara, Juice… even Scarlett was dumb enough to believe it.”
Priyanka laughed her head off.
“Our friendship is officially over. Hi Lemon! How are you, my dancing diva?”
The blonde stood up in front of the camera almost pushing her girlfriend away. “Hi, Dee… I’m doing alright.” Her voice was melodic. “What’s up with you?”
“Just here, catching up with your awful girlfriend.”
“She scared the hell out of you, didn’t she?”
“First she leaves in a hurry without telling anyone and now she’s spreading some fake information… No… It’s a no for me.”
“Don’t worry, we’re actually –surprisingly- doing fine.”
“Hey, what do you mean by «surprisingly»?” The brunette hugged her from behind.
“Aw, you guys are so cute.” She smiled at them. “Wait, so you’re in New York now?”
“Yep, I’m staying for a couple more days and then I’m taking a plane back to Toronto.”
“And I’ll be visiting her there for the holidays in a couple of months.”
“Whoa, you have it figured out already.”
“And I didn’t forget that you have a competition here soon, I’ll definitely be here with you.”
“That’s great! I’m glad to hear it. Sure, oh… we’re going to have so much fun…”
“My friends are dying to meet you if you know what I mean.” Lemon winked.
“I can’t wait.” She wiggled her eyebrows. “Listen, I’d love to chat some more but if I don’t go to practice there won’t be a competition to hoe around.”
They chuckled.
“Thank you for calling, Nali. I miss you already!”
“Miss you too, see you soon guys.” She blew a kiss in the air. “Bye-bye.”
“Bye!” They waved at the camera before ending the call.
“You’re so annoying sometimes…” Lemon kissed her quickly after saying that. She had a cup of coffee in her hands. “So… do you think this is going to work? At the distance and everything?”
Priyanka held her tightly in her arms making the girl sit on her lap. “I know we’re going to make it work somehow and… you know I’m graduating soon so maybe –just maybe- I could start applying for some internship here…?”
The blonde stared at her. “Really?”
“Don’t get too excited yet… I still have to do some things over there and I might take a while but…”
Lemon almost dropped her cup of coffee when she hugged her even closer.
“That would be… Pri… I’ve said it before but… I love you.” The same words acquired a new meaning in a different context.
Priyanka’s heart was full.
“I love you too.”
Priyanka kissed her forehead and let their words linger in the air. They were in a tiny student apartment in a big city, miles away from their hometown but they were together at last, at the only place they had always called home.
Maybe it was true, maybe we always come back to the place where we were happy.
And they were the living proof of it.
The end.

What if kaito hears his parents fight and goes to pops for comfort and the next day he ask if they are getting divorced abd they are like "WHAT why would you ever think that"
Tumblr media
The elder was simply enjoying some music while taking care of his bonsai trees before he heard the door slidding open to reveal a rather shaken up and sad Kaito Chisaki.
"Would you look at that, if it isn't my favorite grandson." He chuckled but furrowed his eyebrows at seing that Kaito didn't giggled or returned with a smartass comment like 'I'm your only grandson'.
No. This time the boy just was stating at the ground, fidgeting with the end of his shirt as his serious eyes were slightly pink. The old man could see that the kid didn't dared to spare a tear, but he sure as hell was doing his best on not doing it.
"Right." He sighed and placed the special scissors down on the table before taking his own seat, inviting Kaito silently to do the same.
"To leave you or your father on this state it takes a lot. Mind telling your old man what left you on this state kid?"
Kaito sniffled and rubbed his little arm over his eyes before placing them back on his lap, hands tightening over the material of his pants.
"Mommy and daddy are fighting on the other room... they didn't let me stay, but I know is something wrong."
"Ah. That." The boy nodded and the elder smiled in sympathy, lifting himself up with a grunt to pat Kaito on the head affectionately "Listen Kaito, whatever it is, I'm sure neither of your mom or dad will stay much like this... those two cant bare at being separated, even if your own father doesn't show it."
He could see that Kaito wasn't convinced, but at least he could do was to ease up his shaking a bit.
"What about some tea, eh, my boy? Or even some other things, a secret mine and yours to keep it away from your dad, how about it?" He mentally sighed in relief when Kaito nodded and half smiled at him before following the old man through the house.
When he went to sleep he received the ocasional kiss on the temple from you and the pat on his head by his dad... yet they were separated. Kai went first in the room and immediately left when you entered.
He turned around on his bed to grab his plushie, one that both you and kai had given him as far as he could remember... then, one word came to his mind that left him crying himself to sleep for the first time on his short life.
Divorce.
~
He woke up with a grunt, rubbing his face, dried tears still remained on his chubby cheeks and a slight wet spot wa son his companion.
He slowly got out from the bed and placed the elephant just on his pillow and numbly walked out of his room... receiving the same silence, torturous silence he got yesterday from his parents.
"Ah. Finally awake?" His father spoke from the chair, not even lifting his gaze from his book "Had to admit, first time on ages I got to wake up without you as allarm."
Although, Chisaki arched his eyebrow when his kid hesitantly took a seat, not even answering him back like he usually did...
He could feel it that you sended that too, because he caught your worried and confused eyes on him as you made your son's breakfast.
"So... did you sleep well baby?" You placed the plate in front of him and kissed his temple as a good morning, but Kaito merely hummed, numb look at the breakfast in front of him as he poked with his spoon.
"No playing with your food." Chisaki said sternly "Is considered a sin."
Again. Not response. Now you two shared rather worried looks as Kaito still stood with that empty broken shell expression.
The usual calm and peaceful silence was replaced by a very worrisome and uncomfortable one at seing your little 4 years old boy so... down.
You hesitantly took a seat just when Chisaki had placed his book away and changed out of his normal gloves to new ones. The silence was finally broken when surto murmured something so soft and weak, that neither Chisaki that had a good hearing could catch it.
"Brat, if you want to say something, then say it."
"... you two are mad and going to get a divorce?"
You choked in your own toast as Kai's nonchant golden eyes open wide at his son words... before he went to pat your back a little, because holy shit you sounded like you were dying.
"Care to explain to us where did you get that idea?" Chisaki's words were a bit harsh and angrier at his son statement, not really meaning it but this had got him out of guard.
"You two yesterday were fighting..." he mumbled sadly as you finally regained your breath, Kai looking at you dead in the eye but still rubbing your back.
"Are you alright my angel?"
You nodded and smiled a bit. Taking the events of yesterday, sure, you and Kai did had an argument because he was overworring about your safety again and becaus eof ithe pretty thing tht surely neither of you remembered. The fight happened on the afternoon but you both sorta the things out right when you two were in the safe confinement of your bedroom.
But apparently your son had taken this for the new level...
"Where did you even get that sweetie?"
"Do you even know the meaning of the word 'divorce' to accuse us of this?" Chisaki arched an eyebrow as Kaito's eyes started to tear up a bit.
"I-I... I hear it a lot coming from the tv and some man that work here... is when daddy and mommy dont love each other anymore and fight then..." he gulped down one sob, breaking your heart in half at the sign " T-Then they dont live together anymore..."
You changed looks with your husband before Kaito let out a muffled little sob, finally looking at both of you with teary eyes.
"You won't get a divorce... r-right? B-Because I-I... I-I-!" He sobbed harder this time before crossing his arms over his face "I don't want my mommy and daddy away! You two married for a reason!"
The kid started even to wail and you immediately jumped from your seat to lift him up in your arms, hushing him ever so gently as you carresed his scalp..
Kai sighed and standed up as well, hesitantly laying on hand at the boy's head as he cried on your shoulder, looking at you for any signs to help him since he never was on the best place to comfort someone.
"Honey, I love your daddy with all my soul and whole life. Of course I would never ask for a divorce." You whispered as soon as Kaito's cries calmed down, only remaining tiny sniffles here and there.
"The same way goes for me about your mother." Kaito mumbled nonchantly as Kaito lifted his face a bit, rubbing his eyes with another sniffle as his father sighed and grabbed his handkerchief.
"B-But, I heard-"
"You listen too much brat." Kai spatted as he wiped his son's tears and snot away, wincing at the disgusting wetness of the material before throwing away in the near trash can
"Parents even loving each other very much, they sometimes fight, and that's perfectly okay... as long as each one of them notices their own mistakes and sort teh things out together later." You said as you cupped your son's cheek and carresed with your thumb a bit, his bottom lip not anymore trembling as his eyes came back to his usual serious ones, but the frow still remained.
"Our fight yesterday was becaus eI worry too kuch about your mother. Is mostly that." Your husband sighed before flipping Kaito's forehead "First, there is no way that WE would want a divorce." *mostly him but okay*
"And besides, not only we love each other the same way that we always do, but we have a amazing little deviant of ours here with us that we love just as much!" Kaito finally smiled at that, as he giggled a bit.
"Right... I was silly about it..." he mumbled as you kissed his cheek giggling as Kai messed up with his hair.
"You were stupid." Your husband said nonchantly, smirking at your scold and glare before he yanked Kaito out of your grasp, rolling his eyes at the kids laughter "I can see that you didn't did your morning hygiene schedule brat."
"I won't brush my teeth before eating breaks daddy! Is gross!"
"He does have a point." You giggled while Kai sighed in defeat, placing his son back on the chair with a huff.
"Then eat, after you go to the bathroom pest." The kid smirked devilish up at his father before you traced your fingers up and down his back, getting a arched eyebrow as a response.
You only gave him a suggestive smile, for a moment forgetting that your son was in the room as he lowered his mask enough to give you a kiss... nao even during twenty second before your son's disgusted sounds interrupted both of you.
"Ew! No mommy, daddy that's more gross than anything!" He covered his eyes with a grunt "Grosssss!"
"Wasn't he crying minutes later that he wanted us both together or something like that?" Kai muttered in irritation as he arched his eyebrow, not apreciating your giggles on the slightest.

03:30 am
Woke up, and the first thing that I think about is you. There’s a lot of things I’m going to write here, and I think I want you to read them all. One by one.
It’s 3:30 in the morning, Wednesday. I don’t want to come to school today. You made coming to school such a joy. For real. I used to look forward to our conversations and laughs. Wow slut, I really really miss those days.
And I’ve been listening to music you like, and right now, I’m listening to those songs I showed you during Impact. That was the first time we’ve ever had actual contact, and I remember every detail in clear detail.
I cried myself to sleep last night. As a matter of fact, I cried a lot yesterday. Tried studying, working out, eating, everything possible, couldn’t take my mind off you. I know an apology was long overdue. But I’m sorry. I really am.
Slut, there’s a lot I’ve been thinking these few days. And they’ve all got you in it.
Suffocated, lost; these are words that only partially describe how I feel when my best friend doesn’t talk to me and doesn’t even look me in the eye anymore. You know that feeling when you realise something major is missing from your life? I’ve that feeling right now, and a lot of it.
Slut, seriously, think about this, when I tell you that you’re my best friend and the best one I’ve ever had, and I’d hold on to you for dear life, I’m not lying. I don’t think I’d lie about those things. I just feel the same.
Slut, I don’t remember if I called you a bad influence, but it’s stupid. If anyone is a bad influence, it’s me. I taught you cuss words, deep throat nonsense and whatnot, and I’ve been so abusive and difficult. I wish someone would just punch me in the face something, break all my 28 teeth.
Slut, what are you doing now? Sleeping? Okay slut, I can see you in my head now. Eyes welling up. Been up like a maniac since 3. First thing on my mind is you.
Also, slut, when I said I might switch on you in college, that’s bullshit. I said that cause of a fucked up ego, that I’ve consciously worked to change out. I think I’ve got a little more mature now, I’m not lying; I really see change.
Slut, come here with your cycle. I wanna talk to you in the dark. And watch the sun come up. I’m sad we don’t do that anymore. Also, I saw your mouth today. So cute. You look younger. Like the pictures you sent me.
You’ve lost a lot of weight, and your jawline is so good. I’ve done the opposite.
Also, slut, if you recall, I said I wanted to make a million memories with you. I still want to. So badly. Slut I’m convinced that you’re the best. There’s enough evidence and more than that. It hurtssssss. Slut I can’t stand that you won’t see my face.
I don’t know slut, how hard was it? Because I would fail if I took on this mission to ignore you. Slut, I know I’ve hurt you really bad this time, because you’re still mad at me.
I’ve bought you a book, and I want to give it to you sometime. It’s a Jhumpa Lahiri book. I just wanted to introduce you to a new type of person.
I’m shivering now. I’m terrified. What if you never talk to me ever again? What if we can never have the chance to make memories again? When you told me you’d pick me over K, I was devastated. I really didn’t think you liked me that much. But I can say without a doubt, that I’d choose you over anyone else for sure. No hesitation. That’s what you mean to me.
Slutttt, I miss you so much. Remember that drive? Slut, thinking about it makes me so nostalgic. Slut, can we go back in time? Like is it actually possible? Because I’d go back to that first day. Sliding that desk across the room. You looking at me and thinking I’m a clown. I’d give anything for you to just look at me again. And I’d relive those moments, make sure we’re fine.
Slutt, it’s really my fault. I’m not being sarcastic. And you’re not a bad influence, what can I say sluttttttt? What can I do to make things right? I suck. I don’t deserve you. God, I thank all these circumstances that got me closer to you. Every single factor. Slut, even before I’ve seen you, I’ve felt something for you. It’s that feeling when you know you’ve got to know someone so badly. Slut, I’m not letting my ego get between us ever again. So I just want you to talk to me. Please.
Boards are in a few months. After that, we won’t be in school again. Slut, what if you forget me after school? Slut, I don’t want you to go. I’m scared. I don’t want that to happen. Slut, we’re running out of time. I thought of talking to my mother and asking her to call your mother. But I didn’t want to force you to talk to me.
Slut I was the only person between us who was so possessive and jealous. I’ve noticed that quite often. But my ego never let me see it. Such a child slut.
I call you Ruj in my head, and slut everywhere else. Slut, you’re a permanent memory. You’ll always be someone I’ve got great admiration for. I hope you make it big, and well. Like I hope you get your pilot license, become the best designer to ever exist, and what not. I really hope you get ahead in life and become the best in your fields of interest.
Slut, I don’t want to feel hopeless. I just feel like I want some guarantee that we’d forget this and get together.
Ruj, we’ve been friends for so long, and I thought we had an understanding, and many fights along the way, but you drew the line here. No warnings, straight up just cut me out. I know there’s a limit to being a dick, and just because I’ve told you I’m a bad person, doesn’t give me the liberty to be such a cunt.
Ruj, I want to show you that I can change. That I can treat you the right way. I’d be glad if you gave me just one more chance.
17 years of existence. The best wishes I’ve ever got was on my 17th birthday. And I was actually sad the previous night, I thought everyone forgot me. And I wanted Arya to wish me🤮. Your wishes were way more than sufficient. My day was great when I read your email. Slut, I want to make you a promise, that I’ll think and act rationally, rather than being an impulsive and irritable dumbass.
So precious. I’m so ever eternally grateful you’ve been a part of my life, and I really wish you’re a part of my life until the end. Even after that. Slut, I know you might think I’m lying right now, but that isn’t true. These are my thoughts that I’m writing down. They come and go, so I thought of writing them down.
First day the school reopened, I came with hopes that you’d forgive me. But you were already so pissed off. Slut, I’m so sorry. Like I know it’s been my fault this entire time. I’m embarrassed, ashamed.
Slut, I’d choose you over my ego. And I’m serious. Slut, just one chance to make things right. One. And I’ll change my ways.
Slut I keep reading your email and crying. I remember when you said I made you cry when I ghosted you. I’m so sorry. I’m so damn sorry. Slut, do you even miss me one bit?
I don’t want to rip bandages off you. I don’t want to fucking switch on you. I want you. Just you is fine. My life is so fucking empty. I’m sorry. Slut, it makes sense now, what you were talking about in the email happened. You knew this whole time? That I was a dick? And that you’d get away for the better?
Slut, that email wa so passive aggressive it hurt. I felt bad when I read it, but I think that you wishing me in the first place was insanely nice. It’s not fine. What’s fine? No, me turning on you would be a violation of everything I hold dear to me.
I will never change my decision. Slut, I’ve understood your true value now. I mean, I’ve always known, but I just got ignorant in the middle.
Slut, I’m worried about the future. What if we live far away? What if you go to college somewhere else? I won’t get a new best friend and all. That’s for sure. It’s you or no one else. I decided to never get a best friend ever again if it wasn’t you. Slut, I’m asking for nothing else but your forgiveness. I’d be more than happy if you gave it some thought and told me if you want to talk to me. I’m so sorry. I could apologize a million times. But I just want you to know how sorry I am. And what you mean to me. Slut, if you don’t take the book tomorrow or the day after, I’m going to be so hurt. But I deserve to be.
You gave me all your passwords. Wow. Still can’t get over that. I wish I’d shared all of mine too. Life is so empty. My words can’t even describe what’s in my head. Slut, sorry. Mannichiko, ennaku theriyum nee kovamma irruka. If you came back though, I promise, I’ll be an actual best friend to you. Not that I wasn’t this whole time, I’ll treat you like the gem that you are.
I’m glad that our parents know each other. Like there’s a lot in common between us. Slut. Epdi irruka? No really, how are you? I haven’t been able to get through for the longest time. I want to know how you’re doing. Please let me know.
Wow, it’s been an hour.
Slut. I’m sorry for being an abusive and a stupid friend. I swear I’ve changed now, and I want you to look at the new me. Sorry for stealing your peace and fun, and I hope I’m not some kind of parasite. I loved each and every thing we’ve ever done.
Slut, it’s quite true, I started fighting with you most of the time. And I think I’ll cut down, not stop. If you gave me a chance. I love calling you names. Vivek, Khat, Ruj, Slut, Rujithaw, and whatnot. I loved it all. I still love it.
Also, I thought of bringing this up a long long time ago. You see, I tell you to listen to music and watch things etc. but you rarely ever suggest things. Midnight Sky, What Are The Odds are just a few things, and why do you assume I won’t like them? Midnight Sky is really good, and I think I don’t even have to talk about WATO. I loved it. Slut, I know this feeling. This feeling of emptiness, and I think the dead morning vibe adds to it. Slut I miss you. And I pray and hope that you come back.
Stud really loves and misses you. And so does Dobby. Dobby doesn’t lie about that.
Good morning slut, I hope you have an awesome day today. And I miss you, love you, and wish I could make things right. Bye for now.

Graduation.
After 4 rowdy years of college, you’re finally graduating. You’ve sure had ups and downs throughout the years of it but, it’s all finally coming to an end.
It was time for a new start.
It was the day before graduation and you, Renjun and Donghyuck slept over at your dorm as you guys enjoyed your last day as a college student with each other. It was more of you trying to hold Renjun back from killing Donghyuck because of jokes he made about how Renjun was going to be an old hug and reminiscing the god and even the bad times you had gone through with each other for the last years of college.
Everyone was going to go different paths but that didn’t mean you were gonna stop seeing each other. That night, you promised each other that even when the three of you already had jobs and pursued dream careers, you were still gonna hang out like old times.
I guess that’s the scariest thing ever, separating from them. It was one of the most things you dreaded throughout the senior year and you couldn’t believe that tomorrow was finally the day you would finally start living like an actual adult. You remembered how everyone went to Mark’s graduation, a close friend of yours and how sad you were. You were just glad that Mark still contacted all of you and even hunged out once in a while but, you’re just scared of what the future has in store for you.
Going back to the night, it was roughly 2:00 a.m. and Renjun and Donghyuck were already passed out in the living room while you were still wide awake, deep in thoughts. You were thinking about the future. You already planned your next moves after graduation so you weren’t worried about it that much. You were more thinking about the future generally. Thinking about what God had planned for you as you take your next steps. Would you get married eventually? And have kids on your own? You didn’t know what made you think about those things but it just came through your mind.
You knew you should get some sleep since you had to be up and ready the next day but you couldn’t find yourself to lay down and sleep. After a while, you contemplated on deciding to get a quick cup of coffee at the 24-hour cafe near your campus. Maybe that would help you sleep. Grabbing your coat, phone, and purse, you headed out the door and to the cafe.
It wasn’t that long of a walk but you just took your time on walking there. The late-night cold air was getting to you and it felt,, comforting. Upon entering the cafe, you were greeted by the few workers there. You ordered your cafe and sat down at a booth near the window. The soft tunes coming from the cafe keeping you company as you waited for your beverage. Finally, your drink arrived. Thanking the waiter, you then went back to sitting in silence with your steaming mug of coffee in front of you.
The song playing was somewhat familiar to you. You soon realize that it was a song that was considered as your’s and your ex-boyfriend Jeno’s song. The thought of it suddenly ruined your whole mood. The memories of you and Jeno slow-dancing to that song at his dorm at 3 in the morning was long hidden in the back of your brain but it now seems so fresh as if it happened yesterday.
The truth is, you missed Jeno. Even after everything that happened, you still loved him even when he clearly implied that he doesn’t feel the same way anymore. Your eyes suddenly started to sting as you recalled back to 2 years ago. You haven’t thought about it in a long time thanks to Donghyuck and Renjun. Can’t believe just one song could bring back so many bitter-sweet memories, it was insane.
Jeno and Yeri were basically the so-called hot couple and you couldn’t deny that. I mean, Jeno is hot, yeri is hot, why wouldn’t they look good together? But it was shocking when rumors spread about their break up. You genuinely thought that they would last longer but, you guessed wrong.
You wanted to talk to make mends with Jeno so badly but you realized that it was probably too late and even if it wasn’t, you were too much of a coward to do so. Afraid that it will make things more awkward and weird. You wished it was easier that said.
Checking the time on your phone and realized it was nearing 3:30 in the morning. You quickly finished your coffee and head back to your dorm to at least try to get some rest since you were now finally feeling a little bit tired.
Tomorrow is going to be a big day.
-
Today was the day. The day you say goodbye to your inestimable college life and stepping a step closer to adulthood.
The dress you were wearing for graduation was elegant but appropriate for the event. Renjun and Donghyuck were dressed in their best outfit and you couldn’t help but get emotional by it. It was like a mother seeing her child take their first step.
Soon enough, you arrived at your college. Probably the last time you’ll ever step foot here. The event was outside at the football field and to everyone’s luck, the weather was beautiful and perfect for the emotional yet long-waited day.
You were now already dressed in your robe and everyone was already lined up near the platform in alphabetical order. You were patiently waiting for your turn and clapped for everyone when their names were called. Finally, your name was called up.
“Y/n, y/l/n,”
With that, you stepped on the stage. Wow, this was really it. Your hands were shaking and probably cold as you accepted the scroll. You could hear the roars of your friends cheering for you and you couldn't help but smile. You were glad you made good memories here despite the bitter-sweet moments. Some people made your college experience actually tolerable and less shitty.
As soon as you stepped down the platform, you quickly made your way to your parents and gave them the biggest hug as they congratulate you. You were thankful for them too. Without their perpetual nagging and support, you wouldn’t be able to pursue your dream. After, you went to Renjun and gave him the biggest hug ever. After everything that has happened, you were glad that you got through it with Renjun. He was your rock.
“Thank you, Renjun, for everything,” You couldn’t help but let a tear slip, the tear rolling down your cheeks.
The boy only laughed and pulled you tighter. “I’m your best friend, I’ll forever be there for you when you need me,” He said, his own words getting to him as he choked up a sob.
“Me too!” Another voice said, which was to be Donghyuck’s as he joined in the hug. “I’m going to be sticking around for a long time, it’s not going to be easy for all of you to get rid of me,” He continued, The three of you laughed as you were still in the group hug, these people made college seemed less scary.
They then went off to meet other friends and you even spotted Taeyong and Jaehyun, which you got close with since the party during freshman year and even though they already graduated, they came to congratulate all of you. You made small talk with them as they too went to find Renjun and Donghyuck.
You were talking with your other friends when you felt a hand on your shoulder. You startled and turned around to find Jaemin. He had the biggest smile ever.
“I tried to find you, I thought you already left as soon as you got your scroll,” Jaemin joked and you laughed. You missed hanging out with him. Without hesitating you pulled him into a hug, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Congratulations Jaemin, I’m so proud of you,” You said.
He hugged you back and patted your back. “Thank you, y/n, congratulations to you too, soon to be scientist,” He winked and the both of you shared a laugh before something came through your head. Where’s Jeno? You didn’t see him at all, did he not come?
You hesitated on asking Jaemin where Jeno was and as you were about to do it Jaemin beat you to it.
"If you're looking for Jeno, he's near the stage," He said giving you a warm smile.
"Thank you, Jaemin," You gave him a smile back and headed your way towards where Jeno supposedly was.
There he was.
He was talking to some friends. He looked like the beautiful man he was. His hair was styled In a coma, the way you always liked. He looked cute when he smiled, the way his eyes would turn into crescents, absolutely stunning. You were staring at him for quite a while when you saw him turn his head to the side and saw you. His eyes went big and mouth slightly open. It felt like time stopped and only the two of you were moving. You wanted to cry because this was the first time since the break up that you properly saw him. Before this, it was just you avoiding him but you didn't know that he hated when you always avoided him because all he wanted was to talk to you.
Then time moved again.
He excused himself from his friends and head over to you. You could feel yourself getting nervous. Seconds later he was finally in front of you, this was also the first time he was this close to you for so long. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable and kept a few steps back.
"How are you?" He spoke up first. Oh, how you missed his voice.
"I've been good, you?" He nodded and replied a smile. The smile you've always adored.
Jeno thought you looked stunning. You've always looked beautiful to him, even when you're wearing the baggiest clothes, you looked as if you were an angel that was sent down by the heavens. Being able to see you like this brought back memories to him. You were his everything, and the thought of you not being his anymore hurts badly. Fuck has he not moved on from you yet?
Without thinking, he then pulled you into a hug, wrapping one of his arms around your shoulder and the other at the back of your head, pulling you closer to him. Saying you were shocked was an understatement. This was so sudden. Your cheeks were against his chest and your hands laid flat on his chest.
"Congratulations, Y/n," He said, more of a whisper coming out.
You couldn't think straight. You missed his warmth. There was something about his hugs that brought comfort to you and feels like home. Wrapping your arms around him, tears started to form.
"Congratulations to you too Jeno," You replied.
You hated to admit it but, you missed your Jeno.
-
That night Taeyong held a “small” party for the graduates. It was weird but Taeyong was close with most of the students in your batch. Alcohol was definitely involved and you didn’t want to come but of course, Renjun and Donghyuck forced you into going. I guess you could say the other reason you didn’t want to attend the party because you were scared you would bump into Jeno. After the encounter, you quickly left him and went back to Renjun and told him about it. You were just shocked and didn’t know how to react.
Renjun and Donghyuck promised they would stick by you the whole time but it was obviously just baited because the second you stepped foot in Taeyong’s house, those two brats went off and got their asses drunk in just a few seconds. You did make small talk with some of your friends who attended and even talked to Taeyong and Jaehyun for a while till things started to get really crazy. In front of you was Donghyuck laying on a table with a shot glass on his belly and Jaemin drinking from there. You didn’t want to see the rest of it and decided to go to Taeyong’s room where the balcony was.
Your body was leaning against the railing as your hands resting on it. The air was pretty chilly that night and you cursed at yourself for not wearing a jacket. Thank god for your jeans that covered your legs from the cold well but didn’t sugarcoat the fact that your arms were exposed.
So far, you haven’t seen Jeno yet. You knew how he hated parties and the alcohol that was involved. You wondered how he felt when the both of you hugged. Did he miss you like how you missed him? You created so many memories in the span of your relationship and it would make you feel like shit if he has forgotten about it.
You were deep in thoughts when you felt a material draped over your shoulders. The material seems to be some kind of small blanket that brought warmth towards you.
“You’re going to catch a cold from this weather, you were shaking,” A voice said.
You turned your head to already see Jeno standing beside you, his body leaning against the railing as well as he looked at you and turned back to the view in front of you.
“I didn’t know you would come,” You said softly.
He shrugged before replying. “It’s my last party as a college student, why not right?”
There was a comfortable silence until Jeno spoke up.
“Remember we met here on this balcony for the first time?”
You chuckled at the memory and turned to face him.
“You were so scared to talk to me you acted like you were seeing a celebrity,”
He let out a hearty left at that.
“Well, I saw the prettiest person ever, shouldn’t I feel nervous,”
You could see his ears turning red and you could feel yourself heating up too. Fuck you missed him so much. Why did he have to leave you for Yeri?
“I’m sorry, Y/n,” He said, voice low.
You gave him a questioning look, motioning him to carry on.
“I’m sorry for everything I've done. I was such a shitty boyfriend to you and I didn’t how you kept yourself together the day we broke up. I’m sorry for hurting you when you gave me your all. I thought Yeri was everything I needed but no, it’s still you Y/n. If you think I moved on, Fuck, I haven’t. I think about you all the fucking time and I can’t get you out of my head. The guilt is still always seeping through me and you don’t understand how I would beat myself up from breaking your heart like that,” He took a deep breath.
At this point, you were crying. You didn’t know how to feel.
You were about to say something but he beat you to it,
“You’re so fucking wonderful Y/n. You have such a big impact on me and it’s driving me insane how I could break someone like you. I must be the hugest jackass to even walk on this earth,” His eyes were teary as he tried to compose his words together.
“I’m scared you’ll never forgive me. I’m so fucking scared because I love you so much,” He whispered the last part.
Without thinking, you pulled him towards you and kissed him. You kissed him as if it was the last kiss you’ll ever share. He was shocked by your actions but kissed back and moved his hands to your waist and brought you closer. Your arms came to wrap around his neck. You pulled away first when you could feel yourself getting out of breath.
The both of you were breathing heavily once you pulled away. Arms wrapped around together and foreheads against each other.
“I love you too,”
Everything will be alright.
You will be alright.

New CCS Oneshot
I’ve been on and off writing this oneshot for several months now, and I’m so glad to finally have completed it, just in time for Syaoran’s birthday, so I can share it with you all!!
TITLE: Closer
SUMMARY:  While Syaoran is away in Hong Kong taking care of the things he needs to do, Sakura struggles to deal with the pain of their separation, and only his letters are able to quell the anguish. Will the letters be enough to help her hold on? Or will they find themselves drifting even farther apart? Takes place after the original series and before the Clear Card arc.
LINKS:  AO3 and FANFICTON.NET
You can also read the story under the cut if you do not feel comfortable with links!
Closer
There was always this feeling of anticipation when the school day was over. Every day, Sakura would come home and eagerly open the mailbox just outside the house, and she would hope and pray that she would find what she so longed for.
Ever since Syaoran went back to Hong Kong, they had had relatively little communication. Sakura imagined it was because he was busy doing whatever it was that he needed to do that had brought him back in the first place, but amongst his busy schedule, he still found time to write to her, and it was through those letters that she would feel revitalized. She wasn’t exactly sure why this was, but there was just something about it that made him feel closer to her. Maybe it was his handwriting. Maybe it was the way he described his day or how he seemed to ask so many questions about her as if they were having a conversation in person. Or perhaps it was even just the fact that the letters smelled faintly of him.
Sakura would wonder silently while reading ‘I wonder what the weather was like when he wrote this?’ and ‘What sort of expression did he have? I wish I could have seen it…’. She hoped that Syaoran had the same thoughts about her when reading her letters, and her heart fluttered just at the idea of it.
Much to her delight, a letter addressed to her with a stamp from Hong Kong was waiting for her. She rushed upstairs to her room and immediately opened it.
 Dear Sakura,
 I hope you are well.
The summer is quite hot here in Hong Kong, and I hope you are staying cool in Tomoeda.
The house is lively as always, especially with Meiling and my sisters spending more time together. They ask about you all the time and send their regards.
The bear you gave me has gotten a lot of attention here, and everyone who has seen it has remarked at how well made it is. You’re really amazing at so many things, and it is almost hard to believe it was handmade! ‘Sakura’ sits on my desk so I can see her whenever I write to you.
I’m working hard every day to finish the things I need to do so I can return to Tomoeda, though it has kept me very busy and I apologize for not writing more.
How are things at school? Are you and Daidouji still in the same class?
I hope everything remains peaceful for you, but please let me know right away if strange things start to happen again.
 Sincerely,
 Li Syaoran
As Sakura finished reading the letter, her fingers stroked over the surface of the paper, just above his name. Seeing his name at the bottom made her heart flutter, as it felt that he had somehow imbued a part of himself within the characters. Kero had told her once that this was not unusual, as there was magic even in a person’s name, and that by knowing a person’s name, you had access to their soul.  This was one of the reasons why she had to write her name on the cards after she captured them.
The girl safely tucked away the letter in the drawer of her desk, the same place that she often kept the cards. Sometimes the cards would glow in response, as if to tell her that they were happy to see her in such good spirits.
Sakura wasted no time pulling out her favorite stationery, a pale pink paper with star designs littered along the borders, and started to write her response. She could not hide the blush on her cheeks as she wrote, and it wasn’t as if she were writing anything embarrassing. Just the thought of Syaoran brought warmth to her cheeks, and she was asked frequently if she had a fever by those who saw it out of context. Kero saw her like this more than he’d like to admit, but ultimately he only wanted her happiness, and until the ‘kid’ was back in Tomoeda, this was the best way to keep Sakura happy.
 Dear Syaoran-kun,
The summer has been very hot here in Tomoeda as well, but we’ve done everything we can to keep comfortable. Yesterday, Otou-san and I made shaved ice and had lots of different flavors to try! It was so delicious! I wish you could have tasted it. Maybe when you’ve come back to Japan, I’ll make some for you! You like lemon flavored things, right?
I’m glad that your sisters and Meiling are doing well. I’d really like to see them again, and every time I receive a letter from Meiling, it makes me really happy! She’s been teaching me a bit of Cantonese in her letters, and it’s made me realize how difficult it must have been for you to read Japanese at school. There are a lot of characters that look similar but have completely different meanings! Meiling told me I should write this for you the next time I sent you a letter.
 一百個心都裝唔晒我對你嘅愛。
I’m not sure what the direct translation is, but Meiling said it would make you happy if I wrote it and that it means something like “I care for you a great deal”.
The ‘Sakura’ bear is not really that well made, but I’m glad you like it! I only had an evening to make it, and I’m happy that it didn’t turn out looking like Kero-chan this time! ‘Syaoran’ I feel is much better made and sits on a drawer in my room, right beneath my bulletin board with the post cards of Hong Kong you’ve sent me. I love the pictures on them, and they remind me of the time I visited and got to see your home. Your family was so kind, and your house felt very warm and inviting. I hope I can return someday and see more of it!
I’m sure you must be working very hard in Hong Kong, but please don’t overwork yourself. I will wait for you, so please take as long as you need to finish the things you need to do.
Summer break will be starting soon at Tomoeda Elementary, but there’s no shortage of summer homework for sure. It seems like there is more than usual, but Onii-chan says it’s probably so they can prepare us for the middle school entrance exams. I’m really nervous, but at least we have several months before the exams! I’ve never been great at math, so I’m worried that I’ll struggle with those parts of the test. But Tomoyo-chan does really well in all classes and said she will help me study, so I am sure everything will be all right! We’re still in the same class right now, and I hope that stays the same for Middle School too. Even still, I feel like school isn’t quite the same without you sitting behind me…
I’ll be looking forward to your next letter!
 Sincerely,
 Kinomoto Sakura
Sakura finished with her signature and gently blew on the wet ink to dry it before carefully folding the paper and placing it within the envelope. She’d send it out first thing tomorrow and couldn’t wait for her next letter to arrive.
A few weeks passed, and summer had ended. Autumn was on the horizon and the heat was starting to die down, much to her relief, and thankfully along with the end of summer also left the rainy season. It seemed that every day during that time, Sakura could look out the window and the sky would be covered in gray clouds. However, even the gloomiest of seasons, she felt she had Syaoran’s letters to look forward to, and continuing the same pattern every day, she checked the mailbox after school. The rainy season unfortunately passed without a single letter, but just as the sun returned, the letters did eventually as well.
Sakura immediately rushed upstairs to read it, and not even Kero dared to bother her. This letter had come a bit later than usual, and it seemed Syaoran’s communication was becoming more and more spaced out. It was concerning to Sakura, and even Kero didn’t like the silence, but he disliked seeing her sad face even more.
 Dear Sakura,
I hope you stayed dry in the rainy season! It appears that the sunshine is back again, so I hope it’s the same for you in Japan! I recall the weather being similar in some ways to Hong Kong at this time of year, though not quite as hot and humid!
I wish I could have had some of the shaved ice you made with your father in the summer time, and I’m sure it was delicious. I tried to imagine it whenever the heat was starting to get to me, and I think it helped a little bit.
My sisters would certainly love to see you again, and Meiling talks about going back to visit Japan frequently. I had no idea she was teaching you Cantonese, and admittedly I was a little surprised at what she had you write.
一百個心都裝唔晒我對你嘅愛。actually translates as “A hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you”
Sakura stopped reading briefly and cupped her face, which was beat red at the realization of the Cantonese words Meiling had advised her to write. She couldn’t believe she had her put down such a thing! The girl also couldn’t help but notice that Syaoran’s handwriting appeared to look a bit irregular and shaky in that particular part of the letter, and she wondered what had caused his hand to become so unsteady. After regaining her composure, she continued to read.
I’m sorry she asked you to say such an extravagant thing without explaining the meaning, but I spoke to her about it to make sure it doesn’t happen again. She says it was all in good fun. But…regardless, I know what you intended to say and the feelings behind them, and it did make me very happy. You’re my most important person, and I’m doing everything I can to come back to Japan like I promised. I will try not to keep you waiting too long, and knowing that you’re waiting for me makes everything worth it. Thank you for that.
I’m glad that ‘Syaoran’ bear has been so well taken care of, and I hope he’s been watching over you in my stead. ‘Sakura’, who I still insist is very well made, is always with me, and I feel like I have you by my side and am encouraged and made stronger by it.
I’m sure someday you will come back to visit Hong Kong, and I’ll show you as much as I can when you do. There are lots of beautiful places that aren’t printed on post cards.
Don’t be worried about the entrance exams. You’re plenty smart, and as long as you keep working at it, you’ll do just fine. Study a little bit each night, and it will come naturally to you when the time comes.
School in Hong Kong also does not feel the same without you sitting in front of me, but I’m glad to hear that Daidouji is still in your class. She is a very good friend and I’m sure she will encourage you all the way through.
 Keep working hard!
 Sincerely,
 Li Syaoran
The rest of the letter made her heart flutter, and her fingers brushed over his name once again. She would have to write him back right away! Without wasting another moment, she got out her favorite stationery and pen and started to write what was in her heart.
 Dear Syaoran,
Like you said, it was raining here a lot, but I didn’t mind it. The rain can be very calming at times, however it definitely limited the amount of things we can do outside. The sunny days are back now, so I’m excited to be outside more!
Fall is starting here, and Onii-chan said that now that the chestnuts are in season, he’ll bring home some dorayaki from the bakery he works part time at. I’m sure it’s delicious, but there are a lot of other really yummy desserts there too! When I think about it, Onii-chan really does have a lot of part time jobs. He says he’s working so much because he wants to pay for college on his own, but I think there’s more to it than that. He may be a jerk sometimes, but he is really hard working and is always looking after me. I have the feeling your sisters care a lot about you too and are always looking out for you. It must be nice having such a big family!
I had no idea that the words Meiling suggested I write meant that, and I’m sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. It’s so embarrassing! But I am glad that it made you happy, because you are very important to me as well. I hope you’re taking care of yourself.
‘Syaoran’ bear has also encouraged me, and anytime I feel like I am struggling, I can look at it and imagine you’re here with me, cheering me on! School has been getting a little bit easier, and I’m not as nervous about the entrance exams anymore. Tomoyo-chan and I have been taking a little bit of time each week to study, and I think I’m finally starting to understand Math a bit better.
I’m sure everything will be all right, and I’m looking forward to becoming a Middle School student! I know that everything will be all right for you as well in the important things you need to do, and I’m cheering you on from Japan!
 Sincerely,
 Kinomoto Sakura
Sakura smiled as she signed the letter and sealed it in an envelope for mailing. She hoped that she would receive another message from Syaoran as soon as possible, but she also hoped that he knew she was encouraging him even from a distance, just as he had done for her.
Several months passed, and there was no letter. Sakura became worried that something had gone wrong, but every once in a while, she would get a small text message from Syaoran. The conversations they had via text were often short and more frequent than the letters, but they just didn’t seem as satisfying as those letters written by hand. They were special…
The lack of hand written letters gave her this agonizing sense of distance between them that appeared to be growing. Of course there were already many miles between them, so it’s not as if the feelings were completely out of the ordinary, but the letters had made her feel as if they were just the tiniest bit closer, if only in their hearts.
It was finally when the autumn had come and gone and winter began to emerge that the next letter arrived, and Sakura let out a sigh of relief at the comfort that they were not over. There was a warmth that grew in her and made her forget about the bone chilling cold temperatures outside, and she made her way to the kitchen table with a fresh cup of tea and the letter in hand.
 Dear Sakura,
I am sorry that it took so long for me to send this letter.
I hope that the autumn was peaceful for you! I remember the season being very beautiful in Japan, but here in Hong Kong it is difficult to see the changes in the seasons from the middle of a large city. Even so, there are still some spots I can retreat to that remind me that nature is never far.
The winter in Hong Kong is thankfully warmer than in Japan. I always struggled with the cold, but the scarf you made me feel much more comfortable, almost like it’s made with some sort of warming magic. I believe this is simply because you made it.
However, of all the seasons, spring is my favorite. Nothing really rivals the beauty of the blooming cherry blossom trees in Japan, and I hope to see them again soon…
I’ve never been quite sure how to act around your brother. I feel like he dislikes me still for how I treated you when we first met, and I don’t really blame him for that. He clearly cares about you a great deal and I believe that he is a very good brother to you. I hope I can apologize someday properly for my behavior back then.
As for my own family, it is just as you said. It is nice to have a large family, and I can’t really imagine what my life would be like without them. My sisters, although very lively and sometimes loud, are very smart, strong, and kind women. I know they care about me too, but I wish they could show it without being so...suffocating. By ‘suffocating’, I mean that they hug me so tight I can’t breathe!
As Sakura read the letter, she briefly glanced down and saw the bright smile that reflected in the tea within her cup. She blushed a bit upon seeing herself, and it was almost strange to see herself react like that to something written. Was this what love looked like from the outside?
She continued to read the next part of the letter, and her face quickly changed to a different expression; one that was far different than one glowing from feelings of love.
I have thought about you the entire time and kept your letter close until I had the opportunity to respond, but I am afraid this will be the last letter I will be able to send.
Please keep the ‘Syaoran’ bear close to you and remember that I am still always supporting you. Don’t forget your invincible spell.
 Sincerely,
 Li Syaoran
Sakura stopped before the tea cup in her hand was rested back down onto the plate on the table. Her face had gone pale, and her emerald eyes were burning with tears threatening to fall. She read the line again, feeling a pain in her heart as she did.
I am afraid this will be the last letter I will be able to send.
Sakura read it over and over, trying desperately to understand its meaning. Did Syaoran mean to say that he was too busy to write any more letters? Was he telling her that he no longer wanted to write them? If he wasn’t able to come back, he’d tell her, wouldn’t he? Her mind was swirling with the possibilities, but even if it were something innocent, the thought of losing those precious letters was almost too much to bear. The letters and the teddy bear...they were all she had to remember him by…
The girl made her way upstairs and opened the drawer of her desk containing the letters and sadly rested it atop of the others. From the privacy of her room, she allowed a few tears to fall and was thankful to see Kero was in the middle of a nap so he could not see her in such a state. The Sakura cards began to glow a soft pink, floating up from their stationary position and surrounding her, as if to try and comfort her in her apparent distress. She continued to cry until she gazed to the ‘Syaoran’ bear that rested on the small table across the room.
Slowly, she made her way to it and held it tightly in her arms, remembering the last words in the letter.
Please keep the ‘Syaoran’ bear close to you and remember that I am still always supporting you. Don’t forget your invincible spell.
Sakura slowly nodded, her tears beginning to fade and her heart starting to understand the meaning. He was telling her to hold on...to keep waiting for him.
 “Everything...will surely be all right…”
She whispered softly, still clinging to the bear and making a desperate wish that soon, they would be together again…
Sakura rushed back to her desk, eagerly writing her next letter. She had to let him know...she must let him know…!
 Dear Syaoran,
I promised to wait for you, and I will continue to do that, even if it means I won’t receive any more letters from here on out.
I will keep waiting, because you are my number one person.
Everything will surely be all right!
 Sincerely,
 Sakura Kinomoto
The girl held the short letter close to her chest, muttering a wish and hoping to engrave her feelings in the small piece of paper. Surely, her feelings would reach him...and the distance between them would lessen.
Several months passed since the heartfelt letter was sent, and just as Syaoran had said, no more letters were received. Although Sakura was generally very cheerful, the slight sadness had not gone unnoticed by those close to her. Even the text messages they shared had become farther apart in frequency, and Sakura couldn’t help but wonder if those too would soon disappear.
Even still, she had decided to wait, and she continued to believe that everything would be all right. She focused on the other aspects of her life to distract herself, and the middle school entrance exams soon came and went. Thanks to her hard work and encouragement from Syaoran, Tomoyo, and those she cared about, she passed with flying colors. Starting in April, she was going to be a student at Tomoeda Middle School, and this change made her realize just how much time had truly passed.
It would be so strange to be in a completely different school with new faces and Syaoran not beside her through it all. The time they shared in Elementary school was almost starting to feel like simply an old memory that would fade with time, and she prayed that no more time would pass before they were able to make new memories.
Even still, life went on. She received her middle school uniform, and she attended the middle school entrance ceremony. Sakura said goodbye to her Elementary school life and prepared for the next step in her life. Why didn’t anyone ever tell her that growing up could be so...scary?
Her birthday arrived, and she grew another year older; another reminder that as she waited for Syaoran, time would continue to flow forward without their consent.
And then the first day of her middle school life finally came…
Even if it was scary, she was still excited by the new opportunities and friendships she would find as a middle school student. It was a new adventure, and she’d tell Syaoran all about it when they saw each other again...if they saw each other again. She shook her head at the thought. No, Syaoran promised, and he never broke a promise...
The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom and brilliantly lined the streets she walked, and they always managed to put her in a good mood. She remembered how Syaoran had spoken fondly of the springtime in Japan as well, particularly because of the trees. Sakura spoke to herself cheerfully about the springtime plans she had, excited for the good times to come.
“I should go flower viewing with everyone! I should ask Tomoyo-chan and…”
Her footsteps halted as she thought of what she had wanted to say next.
‘I wanted to see them with Syaoran-kun too….this year’s cherry blossoms’
The feelings of loneliness washed over her again as she thought of possibly going through another year without him. His favorite season was here, and he wasn’t even here to enjoy it.
Then, her eyes fell upon a figure standing at the end of the street, almost not visible behind the flurry of falling petals that rained like snow. The silhouette seemed so familiar, and she could almost swear that it looked like Syaoran...was she seeing things now? Perhaps she had wished for him so strongly that she was now beginning to see him in places he was not.
However, as the blossoms settled and her sight became clearer, so did the image of the figure before her, and it now looked too real to be an illusion or dream. She saw Syaoran, wearing the Tomoeda middle school uniform and holding in his arm the ‘Sakura’ bear she had so painstakingly made for him. Her vision had now pulled her in so deep that she could not help but speak to it.
 “Syaoran-kun…?”
It was when her vision spoke back that she suddenly began to realize that this was no fantasy, and the tears instantly welled up in her eyes.
“We finally wrapped up the business in Hong Kong. From now on, I’m a permanent resident here in Tomoeda”
The words had shaken her so violently that she almost could not comprehend it.
 “Really…?”
 “Yeah”
Almost needing more reassurance that this was not some sort of cruel dream, she asked more questions to verify the reality before her.
“You mean I don’t need to settle...for letters or phone calls anymore?”
Syaoran smiled at her, and it was then that she could no longer deny it. Even a dream could not replicate the effect her beloved’s smile had on her. This was the real thing...
 “Yeah”
In a sudden rush of emotion, she flung her briefcase down to the ground and charged towards him, quickly embracing him in a tear filled hug. He felt so warm, and the solidness of his body and strong arms wrapping around her in return further grounded her to reality, which still at moments seemed so surreal. The happiness she felt was overwhelming, and having him close to her again was something she almost didn’t believe possible.
“Now we can be together forever!”
The painful waiting was finally over, and the part she felt she had been missing for the past year was now back, making her feel whole again. Sakura now understood what his words had meant...the reason he had told her that he would not be able to send her any more letters was because he knew that they would be together again soon. He must have worked so hard in those last few months, especially since he said it would take a long time to come back. She hoped that he would tell her all about it.
Sakura felt so connected to him now, but what she found most incredible of all, was that even with the physical distance and seasons that passed, it was through the letters that they somehow found a way to become even closer, and it took them reconnecting now for her to recognize it. The distance was never really there, was it?  Now that they were together again, there was nothing in their way and so many memories to make and seasons to experience. They would do this all...together.
‘Everything will surely be all right…’

“Promise me you’ll be careful”
The words escaped your lips before you even had a chance to stop them. No matter how embarrassing they were, how out of character it was for you to say something like that, the thought of losing Jisung because of a stupid car race scared you to death.
Jisung smiled sweetly, jumping down to the ground from the hood of his car he had been sitting on besides you, with his hands in his pockets, Jisung lifted his eyes from the dusty ground to stare at you. Placing his hands on the hood of the car he managed to trap your legs between them, allowing him to get closer to your face “Are we going to get cheesy now?” He asked smirking, holding back a laugh when he saw you rolling your eyes as a response to his teasing, you honestly were not in the moods for his jokes tonight “It’s not like we’re dating, you rejected my dinner invitation”
“I said I would think about it” You huffed quietly, pushing him away when deep inside you only wanted to pull him closer to you. “Didn’t want to go on a date with you last night just to watch you die on the road tonight”
“I’m not going to die (Y/N), chill” Jisung chuckled, shaking his head as he crossed his arms on his chest “I asked you out yesterday because I felt like doing it” He shrugged playfully, not realizing you were ignoring all his attempts to cheer you up “I thought kissing you before letting you go home would give me some luck for today’s race” He laughed at his own words but it all soon faded when he noticed you didn’t even smile at him. Since you heard his friends Jeongin and Minho talking about how dangerous is opponents were tonight really freaked you out which made you try to convince him not to race but him, being the proud mafia guy he is, would never ever back up from a challenge, not even for you, his biggest crush. “Hey” Jisung’s smile softened and sadness tugged his heart when he saw your eyes getting watery with worried tears, before you could say something or move away to avoid his touch, he pulled you forward into his arms engulfing you with him warm and hot body.
Your hands unconsciously gripped the back of his jacket as you dig your face against the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent “Jisung just back down this one time, please?” You begged, his opponents didn’t like to play clean, they were cheaters and didn’t care about people losing their lives “If you die I will never ever forgive you” You whispered desperate, attempting one last time to keep him safe and sound by your side.
“Let’s do a bet” He proposed with a small, hopeful smile. Maybe if you saw he wasn’t as worried as you were he would calm down “Like the one we did when we met, alright?” He leaned back, both hands cupping your cheeks as he looked into your still sad eyes “If I win, you’ll finally date me and if I lose you’ll never ever talk to me again” Both of you knew there was no losing in this one, he either wins or dies.
“Let me ride with you then”
The determined tone in your voice might have surprised him but it definitely surprised you too. Never have you ever, in all the time Jisung and you have known each other, proposed racing with him. He knew you hated cars and how dangerous they were, you despised and didn’t understand the shot of adrenaline he got whenever he stepped on the gas pedal to fly on the road, dodging other cars, dodging death.
“You’re not coming with me tonight” He shook his head “I’ll let you ride with me in my next race but not in this one” Jisung shook his head, determined to reject your idea
He didn’t know how stubborn you could be when you really wanted something “You either let me ride with you or I’ll ride with that driver over there that hasn’t taken his eyes off me since he got here” Jisung glanced at the guy you were talking about just to realized that indeed, his eyes were glued to the curve of your ass “He’ll say yes before I can even blink” You smirked, pulling your hand up to wave at him with a bright smile, the guy waved back at you almost immediately. “You said you wouldn’t die right? Then take me with you”
Jisung moved away from you frustrated, knowing that the possibility of being seriously injured -if not killed- tonight was pretty high. He knew that you were too stubborn to change your mind once it was set on something and he also felt like even when you would still be in danger, you would be safer in his car besides him rather than riding with some random dude who didn’t know what he was getting himself into. Looking at you, he felt the pressure of having his life in your hands, really making him consider backing up from the race for the first time in his whole life. He didn’t back up because his pride and ego were too big, he wouldn’t back up of the race because even when he was crazily in love with you Jisung wanted to show everybody that he still didn’t have a weakness. You weren’t a weakness for him, you were a reason to be brave and get through every single dangerous obstacle life put on his way.
“Get in the car” Jisung said sighing, running his fingers through his hair as he glanced down at his watch. The race was about to start.
Getting on the passenger side you saw how Jisung casually leaned back against his yellow Lamborghini Aventador, arms crossed on his chest as his eyes followed the car that protected the people he hated the most, an enemy he had since he started ruling these streets. The guys rolled down their windows and smirked when they saw you inside, making you feel slightly intimidated, why did they look so happy? Again, the bad feeling that had only grown worse since you got here, took control of you allowing anxiety to have the spotlight of the moment. Your chest seemed to get heavier and the temperature of your body decreased even when, for some reason, you were sweating as if you were wearing a jumper in the Sahara desert.
“Last chance to join the public” Jisung said with a sympathetic smile as he opened the door of his side. By just taking a look at your face he knew you were scared shitless but the fact that you wanted to take the risk of dying in this car with him tonight meant everything to him. “I won’t be mad if you want to get out of the car (Y/N)” He sat down on the driver’s seat, buckling up right before fixing the reviewer mirror.
“We’re in this together” You muttered clearing your throat, straightening in your seat as you buckled up too “Ride or die, remember?”
“How could I not”
The following minutes passed in slow motion for you. As soon as your eyes spotted the girl standing between the multiple cars prepared for the biggest race tonight, everything around you started moving in a really slow pace increasing the sound of ordinary noises such as your own heartbeat mixed with Jisung’s and yours breathing. You could hear people cheering and making bets incredibly loudly in the background getting hushed just by the roaring engines of the cars, you could smell the gasoline, you could taste the anticipation as you saw her pulling the flag up.
“We’re going to win this and I’m taking you wherever you want in the world (Y/N), you better think of a place during the ride because we’re taking a fucking plane tonight after this”
You looked at Jisung hearing the tension, the fear in his voice. He was not only trying to convince you but also himself about the two of you winning this race. You saw the usual little frown that appeared on his face whenever he got too focused on something, you heard his knuckles tightening around the leather of the steering wheel and then the flag dropped.
Along with your heart. It literally stopped beating.
Your eyes automatically closed when you heard the lamborghini’s engine roar as soon as Jisung stepped down onto the gas pedal, you had been trying to mentally prepare yourself for what was coming, you had tried to look brave for Jisung but you turned into the scaredy cat you were when the car started moving. Your hands were gripping the leather seat, probably ruining it since your nails were digging into it, your back was pressed up against the seat too since the vehicle was going too fast for your body to even move an inch.
Minutes and minutes passed and you refused to open your eyes, sometimes somebody bumped into the car, sometimes Jisung would take sharp turns or even speed up more, the only thing he didn’t do during the entire time was slow down. It wasn’t until you heard him laughing that you were tempted to take a peek of what was going on.
“We’re almost there (Y/N)! We’re almost there!” Jisung shouted laughing, hands still gripping the steering wheel with so much force that his knuckles were turning white.
A genuinely happy smile came up to your lips as you started shouting incoherent stuff with him. None of you knew what the two of you were saying but it was mostly along the lines of ‘fuck yeah!’ or ‘we did it!’. Laughter and happiness filled the car when the two of you heard the cheering of the crowd getting closer and closer, you could even see Chan and the rest of the guys already celebrating Jisung’s victory.
Unfortunately, the problem didn’t came until Jisung stepped on the breaks.
“Jisung?” The two of you were dangerously close to the victory line and Jisung wasn’t slowing down even one bit, you thought he was doing it on purpose, just to show off a bit more or even to let you enjoy the few meters that were left now that your eyes were opened but when you turned to look at him as he frantically stepped on the breaks over and over again, you knew this was it.
It was game over for the two of you.
“I-I don’t know what’s wrong” He stuttered, his body tensing up once again “Everything was going too well...Those motherfuckers probably did this while we weren’t paying attention” Jisung gritted his teeth, pressing the honk so hard that it wouldn’t surprised you if the whole city heard it. People started noticing something was wrong, panick was getting control of the whole situation.
“Now what!? Jisung there’s a lot of people there!” He stayed quiet, looking through his reviewer mirror “Jisung!” You shouted desperate, people were starting to notice he wasn’t slowing down and you could see the uneasy look on their faces.
“We’re going to have to jump” He announced camly “Take off your seatbelt and jump as soon as I tell you to” You looked at him with your eyes open wide, your heart beating a mile per second “It’s going to hurt but you won’t die, I won’t let you” He muttered, eyes glued to the road as he prepared himself for what was coming “(Y/N), I’m not joking, if you don’t jump when I tell you to then you’re not getting out of this one...God fucking dammit!” He screamed hitting the steering wheel, losing his cool for a second
“Okay” You muttered breathlessly “I’ll be fine, I’m going to be okay as long as you are too” Jisung nodded, hearing your seat belt coming off just as he took off his.
“Open your door” He muttered seriously “I’ll jump after you, need to turn the car around so those people there don’t get run over”
“What? You need to jump too Jisung! What if you die! Jisung you ha-”
“Jump! Won’t say it twice (Y/N)!”
The glare he sent your way told you he was being deathly serious and if you wanted the plan to go well you needed to listen to him. Staring at the hard ground for a couple of seconds, you took a deep breath before closing your eyes and letting yourself fall forward out and away of the vehicle.
At first, the shock was so big that no pain came to your body but then as you noticed you were still alive and rolling away on the road, the burning sensation of your skin being scratched and your head getting hit with the floor for a couple of times hit you hard. You let out painful and weak groans, struggling to stand the pain that was overwhelming your body. Eventually you stopped rolling, laying on your back as your head fell to the side just to watch Jisung jump out of the car seconds before it run over his enemy’s car.
Your breath got caught in your lungs when fire painted the dark night sky as soon as the two cars exploded, Jisung was nowhere in sight and you couldn’t find enough strength in your body to stand up and see if he was okay, if he was alive.
“Jisung” You whispered, eyes getting watery as you attempted to sit up but couldn’t “No..no...no” A sob escaped your lungs when your eyes kept staring at the fire hoping to see him, to see something that would tell you he was okay. “Jisung” You tried calling his name louder but it wasn’t loud enough.
Suddenly, as if he had heard you, a shadow appeared in the fire, fighting it’s way through it and towards you. When your eyes went up to the shadow’s face and saw it was Jisung, more sobs escaped your chest simply glad that he was alive.
“(Y/N)!” He shouted, running and kneeling down besides you as soon as he got to you. His hands were on autopilot and before he could think what he was doing, he pulled your upper body up against him, pressing you as hard as he could to his chest “We made it...I told you we would made it!” He looked at you with the sweetest smile on his face, eyes meeting as his thumb wiped away your tears.
“We made it” You repeated chuckling, keeping your arms around him while people started approaching the two of you to check if you were alright
“Ride or die, my love?” He whispered kissing your head “It will always be ride for us, no matter what”

Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star Episodes 38-49 + Movie
Tumblr media
So this is what I've been missing for all these years???
It has taken me 10 years of being a Precure fan for me to finally watch Splash Star from beginning to end, and I feel like a fool becAUSE I'VE BEEN MISSING SO MUCH, HOW COULD'VE I SPENT TEN YEARS WITHOUT WATCHING THIS??????? This series is so good, THIS ENDING IS SO GOOD!!!!!!! I've finished watching it yesterday and I'm still in awe. Gosh, I love this show.
Tumblr media
But before I can talk about the ending, allow me to dedicate a small paragraph to comment on the movie. Originally I thought about making a separate post for the movie, but I don't have much to say about it so I'm adding this extra portion here (thank god I watched the movie before this was posted so I can add this beforehand). This movie is very lackluster, I got excited from the first scenes, watching it in HD and not DVD quality really brings way much more life to the screen and I was pretty impressed, but then Saki and Mai started to fight before their performance and all the joy went down because it immediately started to feel like Friends of the Snow Sky but worse because Saki and Mai were never this "hostile" against each other before so their fight doesn't seem true to their characters especially considering what originated this argument to begin with.
The movie exclusive characters are good, sadly they don't get that much time on screen and they also don't get a lot to do so they're not used to their full potential and they end up being just flat. In fact, I believe this is a good way to describe this movie, interesting concepts that aren't used fully because they wanna focus on this fight that makes no sense and that is something they've already done before. I don't know if this has to do with the weird duration of the movie, it's not even one hour long, or if it's just the script that is weak, but I really didn't enjoy this movie all that much. 😕
But now let's talk about the good stuff, let's talk about the ending of the season.
Tumblr media
I have so many feels I don't even know where to begin with. Well to begin with, in the title of this post it says this is a review of episodes 38 to 49 but that's actually a lie since episodes 38 and 39 are just fillers that don't add much so I have nothing to comment on. But from episode 40 onward the show picks itself up and it just goes all out to wrap up this story in a very beautiful, exciting, and emotional way.
I admit I was a bit afraid of how this final stretch would go when I saw that the final Dark Fall general was defeated in episode 40, but they managed to wrap up this ending in a very clever way. Bringing back the defeated generals at first felt like a cheap way to do it, but the fact that the villains weren't back for just a single episode and considering there was no monster of the week, all the fights were against the generals themselves, it really enhanced the experience, it was like in the Mega Man games where you'll fight all the Robot Masters again in one of the Wily stages. It was also great that they came back WAY STRONGER and the girls really had to give their best to win those fights, I especially like that they lost right away when the villains came back because it's not always that we see precure losing so it was great to see just how much more difficult it would be for them to win in the end.
The final twist of Gohyan being the actual final villain wasn't all that much surprising, I mean he's the character who's always plotting something I knew he would betray Akudaikan at some point, and in normal circumstances, I'd wouldn't be pleased with this fake-out, but because Gohyan is a character we've seen since the beginning and he has been active, either plotting against his comrades or actually going against the precure, it worked. I kinda wish they had kept him in his "elderly" form, I think he works better that way, but seeing how great the action was for that final fight I'm more than okay with it.
Tumblr media
If I had to say one thing that I completely disliked about this ending it's that, aside of the Christmas episode that once again had the pink try to deal with her feelings for a guy who doesn't look at them on a romantic way, having a four-part ending didn't really feel necessary. I think they could've made it in a way where episodes 46, 47, and 48, where focused in the actual fight, like episode 46 is the raid at Dark Fall, the fight against Akudaikan goes from Part B of 46 and Part A of 47, and then the final battle against Gohyan goes from Part B of 47 and lasts the entirety of episode 48, and then we have episode 49 focused for the aftermath and the epilogue. But that's just a minor thing because they hit the nail in the head in the important stuff so it's all good.
And speaking of action, THEY NAILED IT IN THIS PORTION OF THE STORY. I complained a lot about hoe the fights during the season weren't as good as they could've been, but if they were saving so much just so this ending could be so action-heavy and look so damn good as it was I feel like it was a good trade. Of course, the repeated shots of Bright and (especially) Windy using her powers are still here, but it's incorporated a lot better here and they do some actual creative stuff with it.
Tumblr media
But the greatest thing of this finale was seeing Michiru and Kaoru finally being back, again I was reluctant about bringing them back so soon, but they knew what they're doing and they managed to do so much with them in this short amount of time. And I think it only works so well because they did an excellent job with them in their first arc so we as an audience can feel for them and we can also share the feelings Saki and Mai were having because we care about these characters just as much as they do. And I also like that they were brought back and they served a purpose, they weren't just extensions of Saki and Mai, they had their own concerns, they had their own issues so it wasn't like they were there to do just a single thing and they were able to conclude their arcs in a very satisfactory way. They've become really complex characters and I was always excited about seeing them on screen because I knew something great would come out of it every time, that being either them in their fighting scenes or while they were doing mundane stuff like Michiru enjoying helping at Pan Paka Pan or Kaoru spending time with Minori. Kaoru and Michiru's story was everything Kiriya's story wanted to be and more and this is definitely one of the strongest points of this show.
Tumblr media
Our protagonists were probably the less worked during this arc, they sort of became an entity rather than two distinctive characters, but it somehow works? I think that because Saki ad Mai are such a great duo, they have so much chemistry, and the show seems to balance pretty well the spotlight they give to each girl, that deciding to focus more on these two as a duo rather than individually doesn't backfire. Their arc is more about solidifying their friendship more and more each time and spreading that out to Kaoru and Michiru, and they do a pretty good job at that. I feel like a lot of people don't have high opinions on them because of that, but I honestly didn't leave the show with the feeling that something was missing in regards to this matter so as far as I'm concerned they're great characters.
Tumblr media
Before I wrap up I wanna talk about the ending in specific. It was the perfect pay off that this show needed. After everything Saki, Mai, Kaoru, and Michiru had gone through seeing they fight the big final boss together on an amazing showdown was incredibly awesome, when they lost their powers and the remaining of the spirits still living on Earth gathered together to bring not just Bloom and Egret but also Bright and Windy personified in Kaoru and Michiru felt rewarding as hell. It's pretty sad Kaoru and Michiru aren't considered official Cures because this final battle wouldn't have been the same without them.
Tumblr media
If you read my Kamen Rider reviews you know I don't like it when characters come back from the dead immediately after they die. That wasn't the case here, in fact actually cried during that scene. We've said goodbye to them once and it hurt, seeing that they would go disappear again was like having my chest crushed, especially after everything that went down during this final arc and their speech in the fight about not giving up on the future they want to build with Saki and Mai. I knew precure is a kids show so they wouldn't kill them, but I expected they would go back to the Fountain of the Sky to live with Moop and Food there, but the show allowed the girls to stay with their friends in the Land of Greenery and that made me feel all fuzzy and warm inside.
And that montage at the end, with the four together, Kaoru joining Mai in the Art Club so she can learn how to draw so she can spend more time with Minori, Saki teaching Michiru how to bake, gosh, very few things made me as happy as that little montage did. Even seeing that Flappy finally confessed to Choppy and now they're officially a couple I believe was very endearing to see. And this is pretty much why I wanted the epilogue to be it's own separated episode because these are all things I'd love to watch as they were happening. It was still good, don't get me wrong, I have the dumbest smile in my face from just remembering it, but I wish we had more, GIVE ME AN OVA TOEI!!!!!
Tumblr media
I'm not sure if I said everything I had to say, a lot of what I enjoyed from Splash Star was how the show touched me with emotional moments centered around characters I've grown to love throughout these 49 episodes and sadly my vocabulary isn't so vast so I can put out all these feelings here without sounding more repetitive than I already do. Splash Star is a really wonderful season, it had a slow start but as soon as they found their identity they really shined brightly, this season definitely shouldn't be so overlooked. So if you never watched it, give it a chance, and if you have watched it already, please do it again, appreciate the show for what it is and spread the love that this season and its characters deserve.
Three seasons of Precure down, thirteen more to go. Thank you so much for reading this far, please share the love for Splash Star in the comments. I'll see you soon for Yes! Pretty Cure 5!
Tumblr media
P.S.: I was revising the post and I realized I didn't mention Kintolesky and Shitataare became a couple in the Christmas episode and it makes me really sad that these villains came back to being dust because I'd love to see this relationship. XD Again, GIVE ME AN OVA TOEI (and come up with a dumb excuse for why they're alive like humans and tell us how they've become regulars at Pan Paka Pan and how Kintolesky and Saki's father became the bestest friends ever).

Against All Odds (Ch. 5)
Stephen and Quill stayed with Scott until Sunday, and after being told by the junior to stay home on Monday as well, Scott was back at school on Tuesday. The cotton in his head was gone, and his sore throat not as bad but still bothering him since he was still coughing. His cough was still present and a little congested but he felt a lot better than he did over the weekend and he had more energy. At least enough energy to get through school without collapsing or passing out. The cough was the bigger issue.
Scott coughs into his elbow after he opens his locker and a small bag half filled with individually wrapped cough drops in thrust right in front of his face. He follows the arm connected to the hand and blushes bright red when he finds it attached to Quill. The football player already spent his weekend hanging out at Scott's with him and Stephen to help take care of him...and now he was giving him cough drops? Why? Did he feel bad that Scott didn't have parents to rely on and Stephen had the right idea about stepping up? Scott didn't want his pity. He's been just fine all these years.
"I figured these would help you get through the day."
"Why are you doing this?" Scott blurts out before he can stop himself.
"I've only known you for a week, but I like what little I've gotten to see...and I want to get to know you better." Quill says and Scott looks away to grab his books out of his locker.
"You've seen everything. Even the bad parts."
"Not everything." Scott stiffens when the senior shoves the bag of cough drops into the front pocket of his sweater. "I have yet to see you smile." Quill smiles at him. "I'll see you after practice."
Scott watches in bewilderment as Quill walks away, and he pulls the bag of cough drops out of his pocket after closing his locker. There was still some extra weight in the pocket of his sweater though, and when Scott stuck his hand back in his pocket, he came away with a Capri Sun. He definitely didn't come to school with it, so the only explanation was that Quill snuck it in with the cough drops. Now Scott just wanted to know if it was another kind gesture or if Quill somehow found out that he loved juice.
Either way, they were both nice to have. Especially the drops. They lessened the frequency of his coughing and were heaven on his sore throat, but no matter how much relief they brought him, Scott seemed to have a bigger...problem. People were looking at him. In class, in the hallways between periods, everywhere. Everyone whispered to each other as they watched him walk by and it had Scott extremely uncomfortable. Why was he suddenly visible to everyone? He doubted that they noticed he missed Friday and Monday because he was sick, and he had a feeling that it didn't have to do with that anyway. Maybe.
It was even worse at lunch. The staring was more obvious as he walked to the corner of the lunch room to his and Stephen's usual table, and he hated it. While Stephen was right when he said Scott wanted some kind of attention, this wasn't the kind he wanted. This was specifically why he made himself invisible. Scott just wanted to know why everyone was suddenly looking at him so he could make it stop. He wasn't about to ask though. He just took to ignoring the stares as he picked at his food and waited for Stephen to join him.
Ten minutes into lunch, Scott only managed to eat half of his meal before his throat started to protest and Stephen still hadn't shown up. He was possibly caught up with a teacher like Scott had been last week and Scott didn't want to be in the cafeteria any longer than he had to be. He could go to the library until lunch was over, as most students that suddenly realized he existed were ones that wouldn't go there unless it was required of them. Sometimes not even then.
Scott gets up from the table with his tray and backpack and as he gets closer to the trash cans to dump his tray, the head cheerleader and a couple of her friends step in his path. He attempts to move around them, but when they continue to block him and then fold their arms, Scott glances at them warily. Every one of his nerves screamed at him to run when he saw the nasty glares the cheerleaders were giving him, but he was frozen to the spot. What did they want with him?
"So you're the reason Peter didn't come to the mall with the rest of us like he said he would." The head cheerleader (Rachel, Scott finally remembers) says with a grimace, and holds her hand up when Scott opens his mouth to defend himself. "I don't want to hear any of your lame excuses or your lies." It was now that the cafeteria had grown dead silent because Rachel was extremely loud and calling attention to herself...and Scott. "I saw you with him in the library but I let it slide because it looked like you were just helping him with homework. But then one of my girls saw you with Peter at the grocery store."
What? He was seen with Quill twice in one day, on the first day their tutoring sessions started? Just how much free time did these people have?
"I let that slide too. I thought maybe it was a coincidence or he was thanking you for the help. But then he never showed up at the mall on Saturday." Rachel continues, and Scott was wondering why Quill not being there was such a big deal. "I found out yesterday it was because he went to your house. Not even for homework help either. He went because the only friend you have told him you weren't at school. He ended up staying all weekend because you were sick and no one was home to take care of you."
Scott gulps visibly, agitating his sore throat, and he had to hold back the urge to cough. How did she know that? Stephen wasn't one to tell, so maybe Quill did? Not that Scott believed Quill meant for this to happen. His football buddies probably asked where he was all weekend and Quill told them. It was very likely a simple question he answered was overheard by the wrong people and rumors spread like wildfire. Of course in just a few hours, everyone would know that Scott existed and it wouldn't be in a good way. How much did Rachel know?
"It doesn't take much to look into someone here. I know all about your parents. They're still not home are they?" Scott's eyes widen. "You know you were an accident right? The reason your parents are almost never home anymore is because they don't want you. They never did. How sad is it to have parents that have to leave their own house to get away from you?"
Deep down Scott knew that. It was the explanation. But to hear it from someone else? It brought the harsh reality crashing down on him and breaking his very fragile bubble of feigned ignorance. He knew he shouldn't listen to her, but unfortunately, her words were almost positively true.
"You're worthless. You mean nothing to your parents, the only friend you have is only your friend because he pities you, and Peter is only nice to you because you do his homework. You might as well be nothing."
The cafeteria remained silent. The tension hung heavily in the air, and Scott had to actually hold back his tears. He knew he wasn't wanted. He knew that he could very easily step outside the school's front doors, never come back, and no one would notice or care. He could run away and no one would even file a missing persons report on him. Just five minutes ago he thought maybe at least Stephen would notice, but the older boy wasn't even here right now and it made Scott wonder if Rachel's claim about Stephen was true too. That Stephen only pitied him. That he only took the time to make Scott feel less invisible because he was there. If Scott did leave, Stephen wouldn't have to put the effort in anymore.
The silence was finally unbearable and Scott set his tray as calmly as possible on a nearby table and made his way toward the cafeteria doors...and found Quill standing in the doorway. Had he overheard what Rachel said? If so, why didn't he say anything? Why didn't he stop her?
Because Rachel was right.
Scott swallows thickly as he pushes past Quill (and actually heard the senior yell "What the fuck did you say to him, bitch?!" But he was now convinced that was his imagination), and bolts for the stairs leading to the roof. He needed to be alone. Somewhere where absolutely no one would be, and the roof provided that. Too many people were in and out of the bathroom and the library would have some people in it during lunch, so he had to choose the roof. Even if that meant exposing himself to the elements.
The moment he stumbled out the doorway to the roof, he had just enough sense to prop the door with a nearby cinder block so he wouldn't get locked out, and went around the corner to sit against the side of the entrance. He pulled the hood of his sweater over his head to at least keep the rain from pelting his skin directly, and then pulled his knees close to his chest to rest his forehead on them.
Get small. Make yourself invisible again.
Could he even do that anymore? Maybe if he distanced himself from Stephen and Quill it might work. Push them away and then blend into the background again. People would forget about him again. All of this happened because he allowed himself to open up just the tiniest bit, and Rachel just had to get one of her claws into the stitches of his insecurities and rip him open for everyone to see. No matter how much she poked and prodded at his biggest insecurities, he would never let them see him run or cry. Even now he refused to cry. What was the point?
He didn't have a parent to talk to. The school wouldn't do anything about it, and he didn't want to bother Stephen or Quill anymore. They had their own groups of friends they could spend time with, and Quill could easily find someone else to help him with his math homework.
To think his life was somewhat normal and quiet just a week ago. Now he would give anything to be non-existent to everyone again. The attention wasn't worth it. It was negative and only made him believe that any love he saw in the world was a ruse.
Not only does high school suck, but so does the world.
"What are you doing out here? You're going to have a relapse." Scott slowly looks up from his knees and finds Stephen standing in front of him. "Come on, back inside."
"I don't want someone to be my friend because they pity me." Scott bites out.
"Well it's a good thing I don't." Stephen grabs one of Scott's arms and pulls him to his feet before dragging him back inside and out of the rain. "Scott."
Stephen stops them just inside the building and Scott looks down. "This is why I liked being invisible." He whispers.
"I know." The older boy mutters quietly.
Then the unthinkable happened. Stephen grabbed Scott again, gently this time, and pulled him into a hug. Scott actually stood there with his arms hanging at his sides as his brain tried to process what was going on, but then he finally managed to lift his arms to return the hug. He was hesitant at first, but the longer Stephen held him there, the tighter Scott made his arms until he was fisting the back of Stephen's soaked sweater. Scott still refused to cry (it was tempting though), but he still enjoyed every second of the hug. The first one he ever had and it was better than he imagined. The reason for it sucked but it definitely helped him feel a little better. It was proof that at least Stephen still cared about him.
"Would you notice if I disappeared?" Scott mutters into Stephen's shoulder.
The older teen snorts. "Please, I would find you and drag you back kicking and screaming."
The hug lasted a good couple more minutes until Stephen finally pulled away and held up the younger's backpack.
"We have permission to take you home." Stephen says softly and Scott furrows his eyebrows.
"We?"
Stephen motions toward the stairs and Scott finds Quill on the landing below. "I'm not the only one who would notice if you disappeared."
Scott looks down and away from the senior and stares at a stain on the linoleum floor. "That's probably not a good idea."
"Hey." Quill says and Scott looks back over at him. "Don't worry about Rachel. Everyone knows she's just mad that I'm more worried about my grades than I am about catching her STD's. Do you have any idea where that has been?" Quill half jokes.
Scott couldn't help himself after that. He snorted in amusement before it evolved into a small fit of laughter that ended in some wheezing when it caused another coughing episode. Stephen gently patted his back until Scott managed to catch his breath again, and then to his surprise, asked him to take off his rain soaked sweater. Scott did so with a frown.
"I don't have anything else."
Stephen sighs. "It's better to not wear it while we get to the car than to wear it and make yourself worse."
"Hold on." Quill says and climbs the stairs up to them as he takes off his own sweater before holding it out to Scott. "It's clean, I promise."
"Thanks, but--"
"It's fine. I run pretty warm and I can stop by my house after I drop you off at home."
Scott sighs and then finally takes the offered sweater, and after he pulls it over his head, he looks up at Quill and thanks him quietly. The moment he did though, he saw a weird flash in the older teen's eyes. A trick of the light maybe? There was supposed to be another thunderstorm today, but when he looked around the immediate area, there were no windows and the other two didn't look up at the lights. Maybe Scott was just tired and his eyes were playing tricks on him.
He was sick and had a really shitty day anyway.
"You're cute when you smile by the way." Quill says as he starts back down the stairs and Stephen looks at Scott with a knowing smirk when the youngest blushes.
Was Quill flirting?

Reports and Highlights: Yuukei Roadshow in Tokyo
Tumblr media
Compilation of info found on Twitter, Togetter and Privatter. Many thanks to ayara-resara for indicating them all.
<< Previous Show || Index >>
Before reading any further, I highly recommend those who haven’t seen the first show’s reports to read them, since one is related to the other. I advice those who have already read the previous reports to take a look at the bottom of the post again too, because I’ve managed to find and translate more info on it.
@kon_noooo
Q.: Is Kano left-handed? A.: Ah~, I kinda feel like I’ve heard something about this from Sidu-san~! But there’s also the possibility that we’re being deceived... There’s a chance that he’s actually a vigorously right-handed right-hand shot! He seems to think of himself as cute. Like, “It’s so cute that I’m left-handed~”. Please wait for an official announcement on that...
I asked about this when I was getting his autograph... I’d wanted to confirm it no matter what...
(T/N: The “right-hand shot” part is a gatcha reference. Scoring a big hit from the right side is called “right-hand shooting”.)
@enehai_hiyori1
LISTEN UP!!!!!!!!! JIN SAID THAT ASAHINA-SAN IS A CUTE GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, y’see, I asked about what she likes.
I’m getting lots of reactions here so lemme tell you about when I got his autograph...
Q.: Does Asahina-san have anything that she likes other than cats? A.: She’s a cute girl who likes normal stuff. (The nuaces are difficult here so I can’t convey the whole idea, sorry.)
This is something that had been decided since the very beginning: she likes pancakes.
Jin-san: She probably wouldn’t make them herself, though. Me: She’d be like, “You do it”? Jin-san: She’d be like, “You do it”.
Jin-san: I wonder what state her bedroom is in... Me: Indeed...
Me: I tried to think of Asahina-san’s way of thinking (preferences), but I couldn’t come up with anything at all... Jin-san: Eh? She’s a girl who surprisingly likes normal stuff, isn’t she? Staff member: She is. I don’t remember the details so well but how much does that staff member know...?? They said something about “24 hours a day 365 days a year”. They did say that.
@takephotos12
Jin-san said, “Actually, just how much of what Kisaragi Shintarou says to his comrades is the truth?” and that’s too much for me; I’m in pain. I remember him saying before and after this that he was “going to kill a Kisaragi Shintarou cluster”, but my memory is kinda flying off the nest, so I hope I wrote this in my memo.
@nagihararion
Me: I like Haruka-senpai, so I dressed up like him today... Jin-san: Uwah~! Amazing! That blue plaid is really Haruka-like! Speaking of Haruka, I wanna make a spin-off with him as protagonist or something... Me: !?!?!?!! My memory is fuzzy from the point he said “spin-off” onward so I don’t remember it very well, but I feel that he talked about how he “wants to write it” and said that he’d “probably publish it”... I recall him telling me to “look forward to it”... probably...
By the way, I was dressed mostly like this back then:
Tumblr media
@Tanapi_May
Me: When will Takane-chan’s birthday be revealed? Jin: Hu~m, I have no plans for it right now... but it’s a very important day. Some big incident or something of the sort will happen. Ah, but it might be in the future edition... Me: “Future edition”!? Jin: Yep, Takane-chan maybe being a Mama... Me: “Mama”!? I asked about this when I got his autograph.
@knkd3131
I only took a memo of the colors of the limelights during each song and my impressions on them, in case anyone wants to use it as reference... 🙇‍♀️
1. Imaginary Reload Lights: blue, green. The background guitar was cool. 2. Shissou Word Lights: purple, blue, green. It stopped at the second “watashi wa” (lol). 3. Additional Memory Lights: red. The interlude was long (nice). The last hook was emo. 4. Lost Day Hour Lights: white and peach with a mirror ball. Lights during the last hook: orange, peach, yellow, white and purple flashed on and off. Jin kept raising his right leg and his smile was cute. 5. Yume no Hana I don’t remember this one. It was a request from the last person to ask a question in the Q&A corner. “A song from THE BACK HORN that Jin-san likes.” 6. Remind Blue Lights: purple and blue with a mirror ball. 7. Solitude From the MV. Jin’s first independent album will be released. He wants the album to be like a picture book of short stories that will make us think he wants to create a new self separated from Kagerou. 8. Mermaid Lights: blue, green. A song from the album. It depicts a honeymoon. A song about boarding a plane alone. Jin: It’s a sad song, isn’t it? 9. FREAKS Lights: white, red. Lights during the last hook: peach, white, green, orange and red flashed on and off. Once upon a time, there was a clumsy monster. The song is about him, who entretains the crowd in a circus group today as well. Jin-san was lifting his right leg in this one. It was the one I liked the most, super emo. Parts of the song that I was able to catch: “I cried out of emptiness” (from the hook) “They laughed at me, who couldn’t become anything” (from the first part)
@shiunteen
I was overwhelmed by “FREAKS” and how its lyrics tear your body apart when you catch on Jin’s full-throttle melody and some other bits; the tears poured out of my eyes with pitter-pattering. Even though I don’t know anything about Jin, it left me in tatters, like, “Aah, he has it so hard; he’s suffered so much; must’ve been so painful”, and I saw in it the earnestness of an artist’s story depiction. I wanna listen to it again soon.

The editor of Mekakucity Talkers, Kuroda-san, was the host this time too.
Jin-san entered the stage with a mask on. “‘Why is that?’ Is what you’re thinking, right?”
He’d fallen into a bad condition at the end of the year. Caught a persistent cold that wouldn’t get better at all, and just when he thought he had finally cured himself from it, it turned into influenza. It got better a week prior to the concert, and when he thought he’d be able to do the live just fine, his molar swelled up two days before. Since his tooth was swollen, he got an edema in his face, and so he put on a mask.
There were cavities doing bad things to the root of his molar. He was told that he had no choice but have the tooth pulled out, but he explained that he had a live concert to do, so he received symptomatic treatment. He got three injections on the spot, in a place that had him going, “You’re gonna inject it there!?” and went home. Next morning (the morning of the day before the concert), he had an incision in addition to the injections, so he was in a lot of pain.
“Loxonin is amazing; it’s the only thing I can rely on.”
“Master, I’ll have the same as always,” he said as if to make his order → Jin-san and Kuroda-san’s drinks were soon delivered to the stage. One of the songs was the theme of the drinks...
🎵 Imaginary Reload
(On the tooth) “Thanks to the Loxonin, I’m not feeling pain, but it’s hard to move my mouth. Like, ‘it won’t go any farther than this point’.”
(Regarding Kuroda-san’s question of, “How’s the Imaginary Reload drink?”) “It’s carbonated, and I can’t be having carbonated drinks. Also, I had an incision yesterday, so all the more...”
Q&A Corner ①
Q.: Where do Hiyori and Hibiya live? A.: This would become a matter of “where is the setting of KagePro?”. There are models for it. I was indecisive as to whether I should reveal the actual place or not. In the series, it gets messed up (by terrorists and the like), so we’d decided not to announce it for the time being. As for the model of where the two live, it’s based on a village from somewhere in Hiroo Town, in the Tokachi District of Hokkaidou (where Jin-san himself used to live in the past). If you go there, you’ll figure that it’s a place where perverts are born (because it’s too full of nothing).
Q.: What’s Tsukihiko’s eye color? A.: Ah, I’m also curious about that (lol). The eye colors are important, so they’re all decided, but I told Sidu-san that “Tsukihiko is a normal human being”. Sidu-san also thinks lots of things out, like, “Won’t it be passed down to his daughter and granddaughter?”. In the Kisaragi family, too, there’s the setting that the father has orange hair and Shintarou takes after him, and the mother has black hair and Momo takes after her.
The comics would be over soon. They were going to end, but will continue.
This time, they’re following the track order of the album...
🎵 Shissou Word Right before the second hook, Jin-san ate the lyrics by the middle. He started singing again as if nothing had happened.
Q&A Corner ②
Q.: What kind of “story that -- the eyes” are Daze, Days and RED? A.: Daze and Days were made to be the theme songs of the anime from the very beginning, so I haven’t decided on that. If I were to give a subtitle to RED, it would be “the story that changes one’s eye color”. It’s a song about how two friends, one who likes to play around and one who is the studious type (memory is faint here), become self-conscious of the fact that the other has grown up. That “their eyes have been dyed into a color that they had never seen before”.
Q.: Please tell us about what you hesitated to say regarding Shintarou in the previous Q&A... A.: Ah, it’s the topic that will come up in this month’s Gene. Shintarou is the protagonist, but I didn’t get to delve into him, and there are more depictions of other people’s viewpoints than of his. Shintarou will be in the continuation of the series and will be a school teacher. Since marriages between characters and things like that are esteemed, I’ll write the continuation story, but this will be in a parallel what-if world. The next protagonist and abilities have been decided too. There are also new characters, characters that remained the way they are and characters that have grown up. It might not happen just in Japan. I wanna hurry and write.
Q.: How did you come up with Benisake-chan? (T/N: For those who don’t remember, that’s the name of the salmon mascot that Momo likes.) A.: I’ve always liked trout salmon ever since my days in Hokkaidou. I couldn’t eat it after coming to the Kantou Region because it’s expensive here, so I had it delivered from my family’s home and when I ate it for the first in a long while, I noticed that it makes you stinky even if you only touch it a little bit, so I was like, “This is it!!” and made her up. Sanrio’s Kirimi-chan was invented immediately after that, and it made me go, “Hey, hey...”. She was cuter and had me like, “This is how a mascot character is supposed to be”, ww.
Q.: What do you create first, tune, lyrics or melody? A.: I started using VOCALOIDs after the band I was in broke up, and when I thought of “doing what I wanted to do”, I considered creating a story through albums and started KagePro. I’d decided from the beginning that the story would include phrases that go “a story that ○○ the eyes”. KagePro was the first thing I made in which I created songs from world-building. Sometimes, songs come out of phrases like “Oh, my dirty!”. And the phrases come from requested themes.
🎵 Additional Memory
(10-minute break)
The song that Jin-san was happy to write out of the ones from this album... 🎵 Lost Day Hour
Lottery (prizes below)
A picture with Jin
A Jin can badge set
A special (signed) ticket holder and two bookmarks of the study books series
Mekakucity Talkers (signed)
A poster of MekaRelo (signed)
A secret present (which would be mailed at a later date, since Jin-san couldn’t look for it in his house due to his poor health condition)
The right to request a song
The request → a song from THE BACK HORN that Jin-san likes.
🎵 Yume no Hana (THE BACK HORN)
“This is the last one...” he said, and a video played after he was done, but then he was like, “I’ll come up and play one more song w” (swinging his body forward).
🎵 Remind Blue
Jin-san leaves the stage. The PV of Solidute plays. At the end of the PV, the confirmation that Jin-san’s first solo album will hit the shelves is announced.
Jin-san reappears on stage. “I’ll release a full album,” he says. He composed Solitude about four years ago and sang it at CDJ before.
“They’re songs I made because I wanted. I’m looking forward to this the most.”
🎵 Mermaid (a song about someone boarding a plane all alone on their honeymoon)
When he only played the songs he was asked to play, it was like, “Lie low.”
🎵 FREAKS
“I’ll do other concerts so please come again!” With this one sentence, it was over.
@BlueD01
On the topic of Jin-san’s tooth: “My mother always told me to brush my teeth so I always brushed it... How did it turn out like this...? It’s like it comes from the side of the tooth...” *proceeds to explain the proggression of the cavities*
Q.: Jin-san, when you’re create a song, do you give them to a character after making the song? Or do you come up with a character and make a song for them? A.: I formed a band in high school in the past and we used to be active, but though I’d wanted to continue on the band, the others wound up turning into “adults”. From there, I was recommended to use VOCALOIDs, but I could only make incomplete songs, like, the type of song that you play a little bit and just two people in the audience go, “wa~h” at it. Back then, the common usage of “eyes” caught my attention, like, “people become idols when they draw in the eyes of others”. So I started making KagePro. Also, I’d wanted to make idol-like songs. And that is connected to the following topic. I wanted to write a story of growth. Just like Hoshi wo Tsunagete from Kemono Friends, you can make stuff that goes, “this character is like that~”. It varies with each song.
So, Jin-san wanted to create idol-like songs. Also, Kisaragi Attention (he didn’t state this but most it likely) is a song with the theme “it doesn’t matter if one’s own nature (their sense?) doesn’t match them, as long as a third party accepts it”, and it seems it turned into an idol song from this.
Jin-san: *sees the lottery poster* I want that poster... The host: Do you not have it? Jin-san: I don’t. I might’ve given it to my mother.
(After the lottery) Jin-san: I’d wanted to bring it over from my house, but lots of things happened... I’ll mail the big deal on a later date. After the concert ends, please... talk to the staff member over there. We won’t do anything bad with your personal information. *laughs*
@bonus_time34
During the introduction of the colaboration drinks: “We did this in Oosaka last time, and we prepared the same stuff for Tokyo.” He called the drink a “soup”. “This soup has a nice color, huh~. Master, I’ll have the usual (lol).” A red “soup” came straight from the back. “It’s almost as if it was already prepared, lol.” The host joked as it was brought to him, “You’re getting VIP treatment, huh (lol).”
First half of the question and answers corner. “Think of a question with my songs as the BGM (lol).”
“Jin-san is in a period where he uses ‘I really like you’ in his songs a lot (lol)!”
“Now comes the song by your beloved uncle for your other beloved uncle: Additional Memory.”
Jin-san waving his hand as he retreated into the waiting room looked so happy and cute that everyone waved back. I wound up lost as to whether I should applaud or wave.
“How was the album?” “It was the be~st!” some people raised their voices. “I listen to it a lot too. But I don’t cry. I did cry when taking the injections, though (lol).”
“I’m glad I was able to compose this one: Lost Day Hour.” The prolongation of his voice during the hook was wonderful. The high-pitch parts were beautiful. “This song is about the character called Kokonose Haruka.” (My memory of this talk is faint.)
To explain the rules of the lottery: anyone who made an additional order would get a lottery ticket. “(The special present) Could be a signed truck tire (lol) or a signed light-motor vehicle with an expired license (lol). Something that would be a pain in the ass (lol, lol).”
Here, he talked about brushing his molars. “‘How do you brush your molars?’ The dentist’s face looked like a lightning had fallen in front of him.”
The request of the lottery winner was for Jin’s favorite song by THE BACK HORN. “I’m indecisive about this one (lol)! Seriously?! Okay, then!” He played Yume no Hana. He was excited and seemed to be having fun. To the person who made the request, thank you... “I didn’t think I’d get to play THE BACK HORN. It was the best.”
Then, we had the last song... or so he said. “Though I say this is the last one, we will play a video, and I’ll come back after the applause, so I might play something once more (lol),” he stated. “Let’s see each other again somewhere else. This has been Jin. Thank you. Here’s Remind Blue.” The arrange of the second part was amazing. The hook of that part... was great...
The animation of Solitude was cool but the lyrics were good too... Below are a sketch I made of the girl from the video while watching it, as well as a drawing I made of her relying on my memory.
Tumblr media
“I played this at COUNTDOWN JAPAN. Is there anyone who listened to it?” About ten people raised their hands. “So there is~. I had thought something along the lines of, ‘let’s do this (solo album)’ after releasing the second album. I was asked things like, ‘Won’t you make that into a CD?’ by the people who listened to Solitude. I’m the one looking forward to it (the release of the solo album) the most.”
He introduced a new song from that album, Mermaid. “Weren’t your titles always supposed to be written in kanji and katakana!? What happened (lol)!?” “Nothing happened (lol).”
“Until I started using VOCALOIDs, my songs felt like holding a concert for only two people while going, ‘It’s destruction~! I’ll tear up your eardrums~!’ (lol)” “It’s been about eight years since last time I made something just because I wanted to compose and listen to it. I wanna make stuff that I feel like conveying.” It seems he composed it based on that. Unlike KagePro, this album will be like a “collection of short stories”.
Mermaid was a song about a honeymoon. The high-pitched hook was melancholic. Jin-san also said this, but it was like a fairy tale.
When he was making songs on request or KagePro songs: “It was like, ‘Even if you have a scenario in your head, lie low’.” He managed to put the things that crossed his mind into songs. He did it...
(A little before another song.) “Can I do it? It’s okay, isn’t it (lol)?” “I’m happy to release (the song) in this occasion (talk live concert).”
The thrilling melody of FREAKS is damn great. It’s a song that gives you courage.
This one was really the last song, so Jin concluded it with his farewells. “I’m thinking of playing many other new songs.” So he’ll do concerts again...? Ambiguous...
After this, there was an announcement, and an autograph session of sold goods and sets.
From the time I got Jin-san’s autograph: when I said, “I like Kisaragi Momo-chan! Thank you very much for always!” he replied, “She sure is popular, huh~”, so I think there were probably about two more people before me who showed the appeal of a Momo fan.
It was a really fun talk-and-play show and I wasn’t able to cool down my excitement. I wanna go again...
@mine1_Hedgehog
Yuukei Roadshow in Tokyo Memo
(About his tooth.) His face was swollen, so he came wearing a mask, but even after his cavities healed a little, instead of going “wah~”, he ended up feeling dejected. “It was like, ‘Did I put on weight?’”
This time, the host ordered a drink that was named after one of the album’s songs! “That’s right; if you pay for it, you get a drink.” He thought it had a good color and was happy to receive it. “Then, Jin-san, you order yours too,” he was prompted. “Master, give me the usual soup.” → “Oka~y.” And so, a red drink came to him as if it had been waiting for a cue. It was an Imaginary Reload one.
The first track was Imaginary Reload. The lights were green. I got emo when listening to that yapping electrict guitar song being played with an acoustic guitar... He’s good with the guitar...
Once it was over, the host was like, “It was a cool song with a dashing sense to it, huh?” and Jin-san interjected, “That’s right.”
When he was asked why he wasn’t having his drink, he said, “I can’t drink anything carbonated right now (because of his molar).” “Don’t cry~” Why did he choose that, then? “Carbonated drinks seriously sting. They make me feel awake.” “It’s literally an ‘imaginary reload’.” “It smelled of blood.” Seriously, why did he choose that?
Here we had the first questions and answers corner. *Looks at the letters displayed on-screen* “This is like a detective drama!” “You can ask about anything, even if it’s not KagePro-related! It can be about secrets regarding Jin’s birth and things like that too!” [roar of laughter] “It’ll finally be revealed...!”
Shintarou’s mother is set to be originally from Hokkaidou. Speaking of which, Momo-chan had mentioned this.
HibiHiyo’s village is based off the village where Jin-san used to live in the past. It’s linked to a town, but the place is actually a weird gathering of villages that you could hardly call a town. There’s seriously nothing there at all. “You’d understand if you saw it, but it’s a place where perverts are born. You have nothing to do there except be delusional.”
(On the topic of Tsukihiko’s eye color.) Sidu-san is in a zone unknown to Jin-san regarding this. In volume 4, his eyes “don’t open because he’s laughing”, but in the manga, he indeed has them closed at all times, www. Jin-san said he had normal eye color, but Sidu-san’s “normal eyes” are wicked, so we can’t know for sure.
There was a lottery after this. The rule was that people would win based solely on the amount of food they got. “You don’t have to spend too much money. That’s not the kind of game it is.”
*drinking his beverage* “Is there anyone here who was also in Oosaka? [lots of hands go up] “I love you...” [roaring laughter]
Second track was Shissou Word. He trailed off at the first verse of the second half like, “wata(shi wa)...” and then resumed after three seconds as if nothing had happened. I forgot why, but he said “I love you~” again afterward.
I think Shintarou is a smart, lovable and good person, but Jin-san sees him as mysterious. He doesn’t know very well how much of what Shintarou says is the truth.
Jin-san was shocked that Vegeta and Bulma from DB got married. “That yankee and Bulma...” It seems he thought he was gonna die.
Everyone thinks that so and so are in a romantic relationship and will definitely get married! Jin just hasn’t written that yet! Even though this kind of thing goes on (in fandom), he can’t bear to see these sprouts of hope get plucked. That’s why the future story that he’ll write next will be like a parallel/what-if thing, and won’t become the future of the normal route. There’s no definite answer to the things Jin writes.
The next protagonist is already decided. The new characters too. It might also happen in places other than Japan. For Mekakushi-dan, there’ll be those who will appear just like they were before and those who will appear grown-up. I think it’ll be a good story.
@natunyudo
Jin-san: How was the live? Me: It was great! I also went to the one in Oosaka, but it was so good that I also came to this one in Tokyo... Jin-san: Thank you very much. How were the new songs? Me: They were good! Jin-san: Which one did you like most? Me: Ah... Mermaid! I was touched...! Jin-san: I’ll do my best in the other new songs! I’ll also make even better albums than this one (MekaRelo)! Me: I’m looking forward to them! I’ll buy them for sure! Ah, also, this... *hands over a letter* Jin-san: Wah~, thank you so much! *stares at the letter fixately* There’s a musical note written here~🎵 *sees my name written at the back* Thank you very much, [my name]-san. Me: ......!!? (He called my name...!!???) Jin-san: I’ll also do my best to fix my cavities! Me: Ah... please do your best! I’ll be cheering for you!
@nozunozu0815
Me: Thanks for having me win the lottery! Jin-san: Ah, it was you?! We also met in Oosaka, didn’t we?! This time, unlike back in Oosaka, we obsessed with the CD order for the songs so it was different, right? Did you have fun? Me: There was Imaginary Reload and it was really the best! Speaking of which, that person who’s been an Asahiner for seven years came today too, but there was no My Funny Weekend. 😇 Jin-san: Ah, that’s true. You noticed it. You see, I can’t open my mouth to sing My Funny Weekend. 😇 That one has really high notes~, honestly~. Me: Indeed. Since your mouth is swollen, it might be difficult. 😇 But getting to listen to new songs was also the best! (He finishes writing the autograph)... If it’s okay with you, can we shake hands? Jin-san: That’s fine! Thank you for coming today! I intend to do this again somewhere else, so please do come listen~! Me: Thank you very much too! I’ll definitely go! And I’ll definitely not wash these hands anymore! Jin-san: Please stop that, ww. Please wash them, ww. Seriously... you’ll get influenza, ww.
We had a conversation like that. 😇

Detention was not that bad... Snape X Reader [NSFW]
Sorry for my English, I try my best but I think I still have some spelling mistakes hahah. Hope you like that one, and please support me if you want me to keep on writing that kind of Fics <3
It was 7:00 a.m. in the morning. Alarm clock rang so loud, making you wake up from your dreams. That sound rumbled in your head so hard, making you feel so unconfortable. Maybe it was not a good idea beeing awake until so late last night, drinking butter beer and smoking with your friends, trying not to be caught by the Masters. You reached the clock with your hand, making it stop ringing. Later you heard someone. It was Lena, your best friend. She told you something. You said yes to her, without listening any word from what she said. You heard a lot of noise, but soon all is calmed down again and everything you could hear was silence. Lately, you woke up again. You got up and looked at your friend’s bed, wanting to wake her up, but you got surprised she was not there. Actually, there was anyone in the room yet. You looked at the clock. It was almost 8:00 a.m.
You jumped from your bed so nervous. You had 15 minutes until your Potion’s lesson started. You knew very well Severus Snape, the Potion’s Master, and you knew how strict he was, specially with puntuality. You knew very well that was going to cost you points from your house. You quicky ran to the bathroom and had a quick shower. You put on your clothes fast and brushed your hair. You took your books in your hand and ran fast across the corridors trying not to be late. But you failed.
It was 8:05 when you reached the classroom and the lesson had already started. You opened the door quietly trying not to make any noise so Snape could not notice you had just arrived. As soon as you showed your head out the door, Lena pointed at the sit next-to her, letting you know she had a sit for you. Snape was so concentrated in his explanations that you thought he was not going to notice. You walked inside the classroom carefully, it seemed your plan was working, but as soon as you reached your sit...
- Not so fast, Ms. Y/N... I thought that I made it quite clear that my class starts at 8:00 a.m. - Snape said turning around and staring at you, while all the class turned around too to see what was happening.
- I’m so sorry Professor, I just overslept... It won’t happen again, I promise... - You said expecting the worse.
- Ten points from Slytherin. I do not make exceptions... Even if it is one student from my house. - Snape was looking you so deep that you felt a little bit unconfortable with the situation.
You sat down next-to Lena and put your books on the table, looking down embarassed.
- And I think you will stay for detention after class, so you will learn not to be all night fooling around the corridors with your friends.
You agreed with your head and then looked at Lena. You promissed her you were going to spend the day with her just to finish some work together.
- I’m sorry Lena - You said in a sad tone.
- Don’t worry, It’s OK. We can meet after your detention - Lena said with a smile.
The class was eternal for you. Although you liked Potions and you were pretty good at it, you were angry because you knew you had to stay there for who knows how many hours doing whatever Snape ordered to you, while your could be with your friends, finishing homework but having a good time. During the class, you cound notice how Snape looked at you more than normal. You could feel his deep eyes fixed on you all the time, while you were preparing your potion. It was a very strange feeling. At first it wa so annoying, but then that feeling changed. You kinda liked being watched like that by your Professor and a couple of times you looked him back to see what happened, but he still stared at you. Hours passed and the class fnally arrived to its end.
- See you later at the common room, Y/N. Good luck. - Said Lena.
Everyone got out the classroom unless you, you staid sitting at your place, while Snape was at his desk, writing something. You staid like that many minutes, waiting him to tell you what you had to do. For a moment, you tought your detention would consist in having you sitting there for hours, bored while he stared at you with his black eyes. But suddendly he spoke.
- Stand up. - He said in a rough tone. - Stand up and come here...
You immediately obeyed. You started walking though the classroom, straight to his desk. You didn’t know why, but you started to feel so nervous, and that was reflected on the way you moved.
- I don’t have all day, Ms. Y/N! - Said Snape, raising his voice.
Your steps turned faster and you soon reached his desk. You staid in front of him, looking at the floor and waiting him to order you something.
- I think you know the reason for that detention was not only for the incident that happened today... Look at me when I talk to you!
You raised your look. Snape had just stood up from his chair and was walking until he was in front of you. You looked at him with a worried face, and waited for next.
- I know very well why were you late this morning. I know that were you doing yesterday night... And I think I have to remind you that boys and girls must stay in different rooms... Even if you all want to drink and smoke.
- But Professor, I promise we did nothing... nothing more than have a great time and laugh all together. It won’t happen again, I promise. - You said really nervous, scared that they expelled you from the school.
- Silence!!! - He shouted at you. - And that way you are dressing? What is that?! it is unacceptable to wear such a short skirt!! Everyone can see your underwear when you sit down... Everyone including me.
You gulped. Then you understood why he was staring at you during all the class. You had always been kind of provocative with your style, you liked to seduce students from all the houses for next, leaving them with that desire (not always was like that, obviously), but that had never worked on a teacher. Anyway, that was not your purpose. Snape got closer to you. He raised his hand fast, you closed your eyes thinking he was going to slap you on your face, but for your surprise, he caressed your cheek with one of his fingers.
- Naughty girls like you deserve to be punished... - whispered Snape. And soon he was giving you a rough wet kiss.
You felt his tongue inside your mouth as his lips rubbed yours. That was probably the hottest kiss you ever had. For your surprise, you found yourself kissing him back, as you moaned in his mouth. His hands were under your skirt, grabbing your ass with force and slappioing  it as he bite and sucked your mouth. It seemed he was going to eat you all right there. He removed your sweater and opened your shirt for then setting aside your bra, in order to see your breasts. He gave you a lustful smile and began to touch them, for next sucking your nipples and biting them. It hurted, but you loved that feeling. You moaned in pleasure and soon Severus turned you around and made you rest against his desk. He put your skirt up and removed your panties. He caressed your ass with his hands for a moment and then you felt how he stopped. Soon he took his want in his hand and started slapping your ass so hard with it. You screamed loud as you felt the wood agains your cheeks.
- Shut up bitch! That’s what happens to dirty girls... That’s what happens when you walk round dressed like a slut provoking! - And he slapped your ass again.
He continued like that for a while. It was really strange for you, it was painful but you loved it. You loved the way it felt everytime it touched your cheeks, you loved the fact Snape had control and you had to obey everything he said. You felt how your pussy was shaking everytime he slapped you, and you could feel your juices spread down your legs.
- You are such a dirty witch... You are enjoying your punishment, aren’t you? Do you want me to fuck you Ms. Y/N? Do you want it?
- Yes, Professor - You said, while you moaned.
- Beg for it, bitch. Beg for my cock inside you - Snape said as he licked your ear from the behind.
- Please fuck me Professor, I’ve been a bad girl - You moaned, wanting him inside of you so bad.
Then you felt the tip of his dick at your entrance, rubbing your inner lips.
- Thake that, slut - And he entered you suddendly, fast and rough. You felt how your pussy was opening, leting him inside. He had a large size, you you let out a shout of pain.
Snape started moving fast, without any mercy, ignoreing your shouts, but soon that pain started to turn into pleasure. The strongest pleasure you ever had in your life. He was so experienced, he knew very well how to move. You moaned loud as he kept on fucking you hard from the behind, while we pulled your hair and kissed an sucked your neck. Suddendly he stopped and lied on the desk.
- Ride me. I want to see how you move - He ordered you while accommodated on the desk with his erect large dick waiting for you.
Without thinking it twice, you jumped on the desk and positioned  on him. You slowly went down, making him adjust to you. You began to move slowly, feeling every inch of him inside while he accompanied you grabbing your hips, but soon you were riding him like mad. You could hear the sound of your skin hitting his while you both moaned in pleasure and kissed each other. You boobs bounced to the rhythm of your movements, and you both arrived to the point where you could not hold it anymore.
- Come for me, bitch... Be a good girl and obey your Professor - Moaned Snape, grabbing you from your neck.
Severus surrounded you with his arms, pulling you close to him, and kissed you hard while you both got into an intense orgasm that made you come together. You recovered from the experience as soon as you head people at the corridor. You put on your clothes and walked to the door.
- Ms. Y/N - Snape called you. - You should take that - he said as he gave you a flask with some purple potion in it.
You looked at him not understandig.
- Believe me girl, is better you take it soon if you don’t want... an accident to happen... - He caressed you face, and walked outside the classroom.

What’s In a Dance? Part 14
On The Eight Day Of Fun I present... another returning feature! It’s baaaaack! I got a few requests for new songs past few months, so I chose one that’s very fitting right now with the new year upon us. However things are not always what they seem.
Ume Wa Saitaka (梅は咲いたか) - Did The Plum Blossoms Bloom?
Tumblr media
Image courtesy of Girasolemurano on Instagram.
This song is really beautiful, but there’s one glaring issue: there are two different versions performed in the karyukai. Sometimes they can be divided by kagai, but the reasons for such a divide aren’t clear
Lyrics

The Breakdown
First off, you may have noticed that a good chunk of the lyrics were italicized; this is because each kagai tends to pick and choose which of those verses it adds on, so you won’t find a single version with all of the lines. The regular verses are the mandatory ones and the italicized verses are the optional ones. You may have also seen the addition on the end of many verses of “shon gai na,” which is kinda like our good friend “yoi yoi yasa” as in it’s there to add that bit of emphasis and rhythm. This is actually an old bit of colloquialism as it was almost like a type of slang when the song was written over 100 years ago. In its simplest terms, it’s an archaic way of saying “sou desu ka,” which means “is that so?”
The four types of plants elude to four different types of women in the karyukai. The plum blossoms refer to the young geiko as plum blossoms are the first to bloom in the spring. The cherry blossoms, on the other hand, represent more mature geiko who wait longer than the plum blossoms to bloom. Willows represent women who change to meet their various situations, but that makes them inconsistent and fickle. Mountain roses are a bit more nefarious as they represent women who are unfaithful and lie. Their yellow color is a symbol of frivolity when it comes to money, which usually then leads to heartbreak. Next, we're asked to wonder what color will bloom on the pine branch. The pine in this case is representing longevity and strength, and most likely a male customer, so they wonder whether a young geiko or a mature geiko will begin a relationship with them.
That being said, from reading the rest of the lyrics you may have been able to tell that this song predominately takes place in Tokyo and not Kyoto. Each of the places it mentions are popular spots in and around Tokyo. To begin, the term “tatsumi” is a play on words that actually represents the Tatsumi Geisha (辰巳芸者) who were found in the Fukugawa district. Next we’re lead around the city, from the famous Yanagibashi, which was once the most prestigious district in Tokyo, to Yachō, another district, and onto Yoshiwara by means of a small boat. The way that the narrator talks about Yoshiwara lets us know that they have a certain fondness for the area and are more of a connoisseur than a casual visitor. They make merry during March and April, the third and fourth months respectively, although when this was written it would have referred to the third and fourth months in the traditional Asian calendar. The narrator remarks about how their enjoyment is fleeting, just like the floating world in which they spend their time.
The inclusion of marine invertebrates seems really random, but it all serves a singular purpose. By harvesting the animals in turn you actually follow a cyclical calendar that takes you through an entire year. Being more specific, the steamer clams and sushi clams are both used for Kai Awase (貝合わせ), which is a shell matching game. Abalone and turban shells does not have a partner, so they stand alone and are looking for love. The turban shell may also elude to Tsunokakushi (角隠し), which are traditional head covers worn by brides to hide their “horns.”
Finally, we continue our trek around Tokyo, first by visiting Ginza to see fox spirits, also known as kitsune, transform like kabuki actors and even witness how their makeup runs down their cheeks and onto the sleeves of their kimono as they try to hide their sadness. From there, we go to Asakusa and then Kototoi, which is another name for Mukojima. Miyakodori, not to be confused with Miyako Odori, are a type of seagull that usually represent winter. Plovers, on the other hand, represent summer, so the narrator is once again talking about time flowing. In the end, they end up at Namida Bashi, which actually means “Bridge of Tears” and likely refers to the floating bridge of dreams in The Tale of Genji. The narrator is quite melancholy yet content as they reflect on their relationships.
Each Kagai’s Version
Gion Kobu (祇園甲部) Version - Inoue School (井上流) Sorry Inoue fans, but I can’t find their version being danced. Pontocho (先斗町) Version - Onoe School (尾上流) Same issue here Onoe fans! Kamishichiken (上七軒) Version - Hanayagi School (花柳流) Even Hanayagi is left out!? Yep. Miyagawa Cho (宮川町) Version - Wakayagi School (若柳流) Finally, some actual performances! Right from the start this dance is full of quick movements that only slow when speaking about the contemplation between the flowers. It uses a mai ōgi almost as much as it does hand movements, so it’s a feast for the eyes throughout its short duration. This version is performed by Kosen (小扇) of Kaden (花傳). Gion Higashi (祇園東) Version - Fujima School (藤間流) Compared to the Wakayagi version, the Fujima one seems a bit slower in pace for the song, but it still has a fair amount of movement compared to other Fujima dances. Some of the frozen kata poses are downright gorgeous and I feel that they really add to the dance. A mai ōgi is also used, but it’s present in the hand of the dancer for the entire duration of the dance, minus a few seconds. This version is performed by Tomitsuyu (富津愈) of Tomikiku (富菊).

The lyrics provided were translated by myself with the help of a friend and gathered from multiple sources; I began with multiple sets, such as those from here, here, here, and here, and figured out which made the most sense when written out as some versions just wrote the hiragana versions of a few kanji and it made the meanings a bit more ambiguous to people who are not fluent in Japanese. In the original version some older forms of common kanji were used so I updated them as this may also confuse people.
