Excuse me... I'm going to be a sap and a fangirl for a moment.

Listening to Josh Groban's albums and remembering why I loved him as a teenager and how his voice got me through some tough times back then including depression and stuff. Then I just stopped listening to him one day cause of a combination of things. Mainly I wanted a chance to perform with him and as a teenager I knew I could but everything seemed to be working against me so I gave up and I heard that he was an ass to boot...but I don't really know how true that is but still.

So many years later now with him being in the forefront of the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd as the title character, I couldn't really ignore him anymore and I have been aching to hear him sing again so I went to Spotify and have been listening to his albums all day. Listening to him again has almost made me cry a couple times. It's like meeting up with an old long lost friend again. That dream of performing with him has now returned full force. FUCK. Like I don't have any dreams that are already manifesting. if (more like WHEN) that dream manifests...I am literally going to sob. Away from him but still.

I need to watch Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure to reach my final conclusion on if she's even attracted to men

#girl help i keep thinking about sharpay and ryan being each others only friend growing up #theyre not very good at interpersonal relationships #romance is foreign to them. they dont care about playing romantic interests because they only view romance through the lens of theatre #fake. not real. an act to entertain an audience. so they dont understand why it would be weird #neither of them have ever kissed anyone #sharpay likes things that make her look better #because her whole life is a performance #so she wants troy because hes a shiny accessory to her #thinking about hsm 2 where once again when she tries to perform a romantic song (with troy this time and not her brother)#she still barely fucking looks at him #all of her attention is on the (nonexistent) audience #and ryan. ryan hm #ryan usually performs alongside sharpay #its usually an in universe performance. theyre on a stage. theres an audience #and all of his attention is on pleasing that audience #an exception to this is during the gay baseball song #where theres a different kind of audience BUT #ryan barely looks at them #most of his attention is directed solely to chad #talking flirting teasing being cocky and annoying but clearly addressing him directly through most of the song #first time this has happened with ryan. take that as you will #ANYWAY i can see sharpay as completely uninterested in romance but she hasnt realized that about herself #and she THINKS she wants it. because she sees it as glamorous #or maybe shes a lesbian i dont know #she might be a lesbian #the deciding factor is sharpays fabulous adventure #if she has chemistry with the guy in that movie then shes just repressed and clueless #if she doesnt shes aro #or possibly lesbian

i dont remember who (i think he was from portugal nt back in the day?) but there was someone who kept playing until they turned 50 and were still in good shape despite being "old" (in football terms). i get there's some health issues they should be careful with, but i dont really get people saying messi has to retire before he reaches like 37. i think unless messi himself has stated he wants to retire after this wc, i dont see why he shouldnt keep playing

I'm not a "new musical theatre style music" person. Never have been.

Even when I was doing voice lessons, I'd steer towards the golden age or jazzy musical theatre songs. My voice teacher would have to drag me kicking and screaming towards adding anything new musical theatre to my repertoire. For a while, the most modern song in my book was I Know The Truth from Aida, and I wouldn't count that as new musical theatre style since I mean more the Pasek&Paul or Joe Iconis type.

And now I have an audition coming up for a small production of a show in that style and I'm supposed to sing a song in a similar style. And I'm looking at all my sheet music like... let me do some Cole Porter... or Gershwin... at least Sondheim please...

#look i do have SOME newer musicals in my book. but like i said. kicking and screaming.#i'm probably gonna end up doing 'I Think That He Likes Me' which is not IN a musical it's just new musical theatre style #as part of a songbook for some writing duo that i can't remember the name of and it's 2:45am so i can't care enough to look it up.#and it's the only one in my sheet music folder that i'm like 'ok. this is TRULY the right style' and i know it's good in my voice #and it's a cute song and i do like it and it definitely fits the overall vibe of the show #and though i haven't sung it in like 4 years i still remember 90% of the words and have time to study it before the audition #but while trying to find that song deep deep in my folder i pass by other songs i just love so much more #and i'm like ahhhhhhhh why #and i'm not even like 'god i hope i get it' (see A Chorus Line. that's more my type) i truly don't care if i'm cast or not #and yes i can technically audition with any song i could ever want it's just suggested to do the same style #but i know the entire creative panel who i'll be auditioning for and the last 2 times i auditioned for them i sang the same song #only because it's a GOOD song that fit both shows i was auditioning for (Can't Stop Talking About Him by Frank Loesser)#(perfect audition song since it's short at like 28 bars and you can pick the tempo and do a lot of character stuff)#(but see this is what i mean. like 1/3 of my entire sheet music folder is golden age musicals. then half is 60s-90s.)#(and then the last chunk are the few new-ish musical theatre and some pop music.)#(if i took performing more seriously i'd have a wider range but this is truly just for fun and just for me. so i do what i like.)#i don't want to go in for a 3rd audition with the same creative team and doing the same song. especially since it doesn't fit this time.#so once again. dragged kicking and screaming. over to new musical theatre territory. unwillingly.#if i get cast we'll have to see if the show itself even grows on me since honestly i think there's maybe 2 songs i like in it.#it's definitely not the worst new musical theatre style show but it's also not one that drew me in.#ok wait while looking through lists of 'new musical theatre' shows to find one i actually like (i think just Legally Blonde sorry guys)#(every other new musical in the last 20 years that i like did something interesting with the music like Come From Away)#i ended up finding out that apparently 13 was adapted into a netflix movie? when did that even happen?#i mean i don't care for that show either but i thought i was at least up to date on movie adaptations.

#he's taken a Lot of inspiration from performers of both the battle-focused & Performance-focused varieties #he doesnt have a drive to Go for contests per se coz theyre such a different brand of competition than what satoshi specializes in #but because he's learned so much from his few experiences & had Fun both In those experiences & in seeing his friends participate #i think he'd wanna give at least one full contest season a shot & see how far he can get & how much he can learn in addition #he's a battler to the core but he's picked up a lot of dramatics from a number of trainers he's come into contact with over a the years #& battling in galar & especially against leon has spurred him on a bit to like. seek ways of making his battles a bit Grander #satoshi Loves the showmanship & dramatics of e4 & champion level battlers & of the performers he's seen in person #so like the idea sponge that he is he Wants to soak all that up & incorporate it all into his own style #as a kantonian he has the intensity of it all down pat. he just wants to add a lil Razzle Dazzle to the drama #coz it's Fun #i have once again made the entire post in my tags ruh roh #ooc. pkmn is autistic culture.

#random thoughts #dream daddy #first thing immediately making brian fatter. maybe getting rid of his beard to give him a double chin. making him hairier everywhere else #also maybe making him an amputee. he had an accident while doing some woodworking and lost his left arm #or maybe ill make him a lower leg amputee? because he's fat and that has some unique challenges #robert's missing a finger and he changes the story on how he lost it every time #he also got shot once in the shoulder #craig's also an amputee! definitely lower leg because i want him to have one of those sportsy prosthetics #he has a wild story about it that the mc was there for #college shenanigans and whatnot #might make damien have a prosthetic eye? or an arm because i think he'd have a LOT to say about victorian prosthetics #god why am i giving them all physical disabilities. i was just thinking earlier about how it'd be neat if one of them were in a wheelchair #cuz the daddies are very performatively diverse otherwise #who would even be in a wheelchair. i think it'd be damien for periods of time #he'd have an authentic victorian one and also a normal one #he also uses a cane. hugo also uses a cane but a less cool one #hugo got a wrestling injury that acts up sometimes #matt gives off migraine energy. chronic pain haver even though he doesn't 'technically' have anything wrong with him #anyway!!! what fucking race is everyone i was thinking about this earlier #is robert white.#cuz like brian and joseph are both solidly in the white category #matt is black and carmensita is a spanish name soooo. dominican? columbian? i'm going with venezuela #cuz the guy who sang carmensita is american-venezuelan #i vaguely remember hugo having some comment on racial insensitivity during the wrestling date but god i just cannot remember #robert's grandparents were all different races and ethnicities and he's not particularly involved in any of their cultures #his wife was italian tho #joseph can trace his ancestry all the way back to the mayflower #mary and damien are siblings and descended from german immigrants #brian's grandparents were norwegian #robert has bipolar disorder btw. he's usually in a state of mixed mania instead of having highs and lows

Whenever I see ppl portraying Chuuya as a sort of damsel in distress when it comes to skk I always find it hilarious because there’s an entire movie establishing that Dazai is the damsel in distresses of him own making to distress everyone else and like, that is so valid of them

#okay people who have read my posts about this situation-#i need opinion #so that actor im working with that i have a thing for is consuming my thoughts more and more #and anyways we close the show in a week #the plan- i text him right as the last performance ends and say before you leave i need to talk to you about soemthing personal #and then when all the work for the day is over i pull him aside just away from everyone #and i just tell him i have feelings for him and would like to go out sometjme #and then just leave it up to him #i think even if he does reject me or isnt single i still want the experience of asking someone out and i want him to know that i like him #see i found out this is his first play and i realy can't believe it becuase he put in so much work and effort #he came in with all his lines memorized first day of rehearsal #ive never seen that before #anyways my main concern is making him feel uncomfortable #but he has thrown little hints that hes interested in me? like saying we should get drinks sometime & a few little -could be- flirty things #but honestly just telling him i have feelings for him isnt that extreme so idk why im even thinking it would make him uncomfortable #anyways im stage manager so like telling him while were doing the show would be a little bad power dynamic wise #and maybe i should even wait till a day or so after the show but hey once the show is done im not his stage manager anymore #we are just both college students in the same department #man... life is so fucking weird #anyways yeah point is- im wondering if its a good idea to tell him i like him
