when i started watching It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia you fuckers had me CONVINCED that Macden is fully canon. like i kept seeing all these posts where they live together and do everything together and talking abt their codependency or whatever and then i found out there was an episode where Mac comes out and i was like “huh i wonder where the episode when dennis comes out is”.

I fully expected this to happen in canon and only TODAY did i find out that Macden isn’t canon and they just live like that. i blame all of you

Bc listen, I read a post talking abt how the writers probably won’t give both of them a really flushed out Queer Realization Arc bc it would be redundant, which like, okay sure, yes, I can see why you wouldn’t want to have two main, male characters going through the exact same thing, so sure, whatever, BUT -

I feel like, out of Buddie, Eddie is going to be the one that really struggles with coming to terms with his sexuality.

Eddie, who had to be The Man Of The House at 10 years old. Eddie, who grew up in the Deep South. Eddie, whose family is Catholic. Eddie, who already had a strained relationship with his judgmental parents. Eddie, who had a WIFE. Eddie, who says that what he had with Shannon was magic & compares every relationship he had to her. Eddie, who was in the military, which is infamous for DADT. Eddie, whose aunt constantly pushes him at random women because he needs to not be alone. Eddie, who canonically suffers from comp-het, saying that dating women feels like putting on a performance, not that he understands why. Eddie, who dated Ana & was planning on staying with her, even though he was unhappy, for his son.

I think Buck would be way chiller with realizing he’s queer - if he doesn’t already know, which is my fav head-cannon - & I feel like he wouldn’t struggle as much bc it’s Eddie, & Eddie is his best friend, and gender wouldn’t play as big a part for him as I think it would for Eddie.

I would love for them both to have an arc where they worked through their expectations when it comes to relationships & realize that they’re queer, but idk man, I feel like Eddie is going to be the one to really struggle & he deserves to really have that flushed out.

Idk, I’ve been thinking about this ever since I saw that post & nobody I know watches 9-1-1 😭

Every time I see a purring Saiyans headcanon I am once again tempted to use purring for angst lol. Actual cats don’t only purr when they’re happy, sometimes they will purr to self soothe if they’re very stressed or injured or sick. It lends itself nicely to a fic where Vegeta tries to hide that he’s injured and gets outted by purring (or, for bonus angst, it is not interpreted correctly and it’s assumed that he’s happy, same as people don’t realize cats do it when in distress). Or just putting it in a sad and angsty moment, as involuntary self-expression of a need for comfort, almost as bad as crying. Like, I understand why the purring thing gets used for like every nonhuman species ever because it is cute, but it has hidden evil potential and I’m still not bold enough to write any actual angst yet so I’m putting the idea out there in the meantime lol

not the same anon but as someone who considers themselves ace myself, i don't understand the pushback on aziraphale and crowley having sex. like yeah, sex is not for me, but im not going to make that everyone else's problem. if textually, a/c were ace, that'd be one thing, but they aren't, and im firmly in the camp of yeah that's something they would do, because as much as it isn't the way i experience life, its how the vast majority of humanity experiences it, and as we all can see, they're very human for an angel and a demon. they indulge in so many other human things, this would be no different. idk. there's not much of a point to this other than to say that i think the pushback is just a way to mask homophobia and puritanical beliefs because here i am, asexual and not homophobic, and i sleep just fine at night without going on twitter to cry at gaiman about how an angel and a demon having sex would be icky lol

S!dL!nk shippers are perfect examples of why shipping has become so annoying to my aroace ass in fandom as a whole. People see these INCREDIBLY minor things and insist it’s a sign of a deep profound love, and CANNOT let it go if canon doesn’t bend over backwards to validate them. They attack other characters (very often using sexist logic cause the “threat” is almost always a woman), they try to do everything they can to deny the canon/semi canon ships (the debate about how Link CANNOT be living in his house, as if Zelda just kicked him out lol?) and it’s so annoying to deal with because of how they act.

It’s not canon. It was never canon. It was never going to be canon. Not every interaction is about romance and sex. Sidon is friendly, that’s how he is, he’s sweet and friendly to Link because that’s his personality!! His DEAD SISTER was in love with Link, she was going to give him engagement armor! Sidon wasn’t going to jump on his dick five seconds after meeting him! (I don’t think the ship is “amoral” or whatever. I’m just saying since we’re so hung up on canon, canonically it’d be weird for that to happen like that or quickly. But I’ve noticed shippers also try to undermine Mipha’s feelings, as if their ship only works if Link has never felt anything romantic or had anyone feel anything romantic for him.)

Stop going on other peoples ship posts and making it about Sidon! Stop complaining about his fiancé! Stop trying to deny canon evidence and push on happy Z3link shippers that it’s not what it clearly is! I’m sorry you’re not happy but your ship is just as valid! Your fics are still good! Why has fandom become so obsessive about canon backing y’all up? I was here for early day slash shipping and none of it was explicitly canon and we had a great time!

According to Season 5, Episode 5…. We could infer Timmy doesn’t have much regard for Shawna with the way he jokes about her and himself. Based on Season 4, Episode 2, Timmy seems to reject Shawna’s gesture of a kiss by holding his right hand toward her, that is until Percy barges in. Based on Season 6, Episode 10, Shawna states she ran away into the woods, which quite well shows she herself doesn’t care much for abandoning Timmy(if they are even considered to be still ‘together’). In short, they both do not seem to care much for each other, hence why I see them most likely getting into arguments or just not completely getting along, it’s okay though, I still find this relationship dynamic amusing and quite interesting.
