I literally have not been able to think straight since yesterday omfg the curse was broken.

I can’t believe Lizzie d!ed first. She broke Jimmy’s curse. Does she get it now? She better not, that’d suck :( 

Or maybe they share it now or something. Seacanaryblings lol. Or an extension of the curse? My personal headcanon, that I'm still kind of working on, is that she purposely wanted to end Jimmy’s curse. She joined the Life Series during Empires right? And it was after she found out Jimmy was her brother. She probably learned abt to curse from Joel or something and wanted to end it. Maybe that’s why the watchers took her out of the games. Maybe she was a bit more reckless than usual in order to lose more hearts and get out first, but not draw attention to herself from the Watchers. I also think that maybe she's only paused the curse for a bit. And like I said above, the seablings share the curse now.

There’s so much angst and theories that can be written now omfg.

Jimmy always being out first means that he’s never had to feel the grief of losing someone in the games forever. Or at least until the next game starts. He’s always died first, marking when everything starts to go wrong. Lizzie took his place. Right after he died, the Warden was brought up and Grian made a Wither. The Warden and the Wither caused a lot of damage, made many people lose hearts and lives, and took Jimmy and Mumbo both out of the games. The fight against the Warden and Wither was the first major bl00dbath of the season. Jimmy always dies before things start to go seriously wrong. Like I said before, he’s never felt the grief of losing someone before. Let alone his own sister. The person who swore to protect him. The person whose death he gloated about. After the euphoria of knowing that his curse is gone, how is he supposed to process that Lizzie is too? He’s never had to experience the brunt of all the d3@th and betrayal that the games has to offer. He’s never had to feel the grief that Scott, Martyn, Tango, Joel, Grian and all the others have had to feel when they lose him. He’s never had to see all the chaos and destruction that breaks out after his death. He’s never had to breath in the toxic gas that his death warns of. Jimmy did end up dying second however. He didn’t have enough time to mourn before his last life was taken from him. But, for the first time, he was able to truly see what the life series has to offer. Maybe the curse is gone, but perhaps not having to see all the tragedy that comes from the games is a blessing.

I do still think that his death marked when things began to go wrong. He didn't die first, but the whole point of the canary is let the miners know when things are starting to go wrong, and he did. He died just as the Warden and Wither were brought up.

Referring to Eclipse, does he have his own flower? If so, what is it? Any ideas for color scheme? I'm literally just doodling your flower children rn and love Eclipse's concept.

So, here's the thing. Eclipse is... a problem. Unlike Sun and Moon, I had no idea what flower could fit him straight away, meaning I had to put actual thought into what flower he would be. Which is always an issue.

I've had many, many different ideas for what flower I could base him on, for varying reasons.

Calla Lilies can be multiple colors, including some that I wanted to include in Eclipse's color palette/some that seemed like they would fit him well. (Also they were already on the forefront of my mind because they're my crush's favorite flower. Sh.)

I've heard that Smooth Hydrangeas are sometimes called "Total Eclipse Hydrangeas"? I'm unsure why, so it would be nice to know why they're called that. Maybe some weird reaction to solar eclipses?

Mimosa Flowers (or Persian Silk Flowers) apparently close up really quickly during solar eclipses, plus they grow near my town so I get to see them a lot. They're pretty hehe :D

Moutan Peonies and Hybrid Peonies both fit the color palette I was going for, particularly the hybrid ones. While I have heard they are a good way to represent "honor", they also have mostly romantic connotations, which isn't what I wanted. :( I think some shades of peony are associated with family, though.

Thanks!! Tbh rn I can't add much to what I've written about Zanni so far without telling about the other members of my arrancar troupe but I hope soon enough I'll bring myself to drawing them... Anyway I'm glad you loved him! It means a lot when my designs gain positive attention 🤧 Here's what I have for Shinji:

I think everything that happened with Aizen really took a great toll on him. Ofc Shinji is not the kind of person to show how he's really feeling and the only one he puts the blame on now is Sosuke but for the hundred years that he was in the world of the living every time it was raining he stayed in bed until late afternoon. Literally just lying and doing nothing with music in the background because he felt terrible. No matter how much he tried the rain really did bring the blues out of him and sometimes it had gotten so bad he felt physically ill. Probably because it had been raining a lot when they ended up in Karakura. This habit of his kinda returned once he was in the position of the captain again because he felt like he was not supposed to be there. For the first couple of months his higher-ranking officers had to do EVERYTHING for him on rainy days.

His love language is acts of service... when the person he likes is doing something for him of course. Sometimes he would literally whine so they would cook for him or something like that but he is very grateful if they give into this stupid game. He would snoop around to check on them and sometimes even sneak up on them to look over their shoulder and say something silly.

Speaking of love I think he's very good at unconsciously studying and remembering the habits of the other person. If they do the same and for example don't try to wake him up when it's very cloudy and just leave the tray with breakfast on the bedside table/floor for him to eat later then he's head over heels. It means a lot to him when people take him seriously at all times even though he does and says stupid things a lot.

The last two paragraphs may be the reason why he was very into Kensei at one point lmao

Kensei has always been very popular among both women and men. I mean look at this guy!! Though it's a source of a lot of stress for him because 1) "My eyes are up here... have some fucking respect" and 2) he's actually very old-fashioned when it comes to love and attraction. Casual flings because he happened to be attractive to someone is NOT his thing. What happened to courting your love interest and all that?..

Sometimes Rose would sing for others. It didn't happen a lot because he didn't exactly get much inspiration in the situation they were in and he knew for sure other vizards couldn't always be in the mood for some music. It was far too cramped and noisy already for something like that and Shinji had already taken the role of the person who was going to annoy everybody with noise. Once they returned to Gotei he hoped it would change but with the sheer amount of work that waited to be done it was deemed impossible. Too busy, too tired, too uninspired. Who sings just for themselves anyway? Though I think if someone asked he would be soo happy to play or sing something for them

Lisa knows EVERYTHING about other vizards. Sometimes she would pick up on things even faster than them. She's not being creepy about it ofc. Well... Usually. But if she thought it could help someone or herself she's gonna use it either for them or against them.

Sorry for the ramble in your inbox incoming- I'm a really huge fan of your analysis type posts like the ones about Cathal and recently Flint ;A; So I hope its ok to maybe throw in my own 2 cents about Cogs/their society- (Sorry this gets rambly I thought about this last night and writing this like an hour after waking up lol)

I think what alot of people kind of (I wouldnt say ignore- more of:) don't really get is that I dont believe characters like Cathal or Flint have bad tendencies because they really want to in a way, (I kind of worded that poorly but point is) but because their society rewards and encourages that type of behavior. I think you said something kind of similar on Cathals post- But especially for Flint, whose a Bossbot (Who are literally the embodiment of a toxic workplace and elitism. I believe a old snippet from the TTO magazines says "They have no real skills of their own, just the ability to push down others and stay on top!" Or something to that nature.) he has to be demanding and imposing. There is no benefit to him in being kind. (Like looking at Misty for example) And don't get me wrong I don't believe that if Flint and Cathal were removed from Cog society they'd be better/objectively nicer (Like Flint not being condescending to Toons and Cathal not making people do things for him and being encouraged to try) But I do wonder how much of it is pressure, or how much of it is egged on and rewarded. Atleast in the aspects it relates to how they treat others.

(..And also I wonder what happens to Cogs that don't get jobs and are seen as ..not functioning. Since Graham was freaking the hell out in "Meeting Of Two Minds" over the possibility of not getting the job. I have a whole thing about this actually in my oc lore but thats another thing entirely I'll write about someday I swear)

Also I gasped when I saw the doodle of Graham in the MSI shirt finally a MSI listener Graham truther. I think he'd like the album "How I Learned To" and of course "You'll Rebel To Anything". I associate him mainly with the songs "Lights Out", "On It", and "You're No Fun Anymore" :p (This has been my favorite band since I was like 13 and now I get to spill all my opinions xD) I always imagined him doing the guitar backbend their bassist does! And my final hc is that Flint plays bass and Graham plays the main guitar. I think it fits them .. some people overlook bass when its actually pretty hard to learn from what I hear and vital to the song. (Like heres Feel Good Inc w/o the bass.. feels wrong x_x)

I’m sure it applies to a ton of other cogs too, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten to them yet bc I’m not as insane abt them . LMAO

And yeah since cogs are literally built for work, it’s a wonder what happens to those who can’t find a job as easily as others. Hoping that gets built on since it’s clear in MOTM that these cogs have to actually apply and go to interviews and probably face some trial and error to land a job, just like people IRL.

(I have a Hypothesis about that too lmao) like I think his subjugation was something that the other kings see as putting him beneath them, even if he's technically ahead of Beelzebub in the hierarchy (and I'm wondering if he was higher up before the subjugation? Or if power levels don't mean anything/don't mean the same thing to the kings).

Amaimon seems to almost get the same disregard as the nephilim do, like even if he's got a seat at the table, his voice doesn't count for much (I'm thinking of that scene in the past with Lucifer declaring he's gonna destroy Assiah and Mephisto offering the clone solution).

Also at this point I think Rin is being a deliberate shit head to him about his name 😂 He knew it after Amaimon punched him into oblivion during his dinner with Mephisto but I guess it was too long for his memory to last when he finally got out of the clock prison rip

And, naturally, Mephisto's comments about his empty head don't help. We know Amaimon's a lot smarter than that. He was able to figure out exactly how the sword worked to seal Rin's heart in gehenna, think up a plan to get Rin to attack him on the fly, and work as a go between to relay Mephisto's and Satan's messages to each other. I personally think he deliberately played up his teasing and antagonizing to Rin bc Mephisto told him to get him to draw the sword, so he acted as obnoxious as possible, as opposed to his more natural personality.

He's got demon etiquette, not human etiquette lololol Though, again, he's also able to blend in naturally enough that he can stand in line for hours to get souvenirs for Mephisto in Assiah. Unfortunately, he's only motivated by things that interest him and doesn't want to play the game between Mephisto and Lucifer, which, in Mephisto's eyes, means he can never elevate himself to be an actual player, not a pawn.

I think this all culminates in his fandom depiction as childish and dumb, bc he's taken at surface level and also he's stuck in the season 1 anime onlies interpretation of him, which didn't do any of the aoex characters justice lololol
