What is with Hoyo and their fascination about self-destructive blond men with dead fathers and their ridiculously buff academic boyfriends with unconventional methods of care that will pull the blond on a path of self-realization? I mean, I'm not complaining, I need fifty more of these, thanks. But it's so funny that there are two pairs of these types of characters, that just compliment each other perfectly.

Also I'm itching on ranting about the similarities between Kaveh/Aventurine and Alhaitham/Ratio, but also Kaveh/Ratio, that I might go insane if I bottle it up for too long. (I wonder if I could find something to observe through an Alhaitham/Aventurine lens probably)

Idk if anybody else has thought this, but Kim Dokja and Sunny from Omori are incredibly similar. The absolute tragedy of their traumas, guilt, self loathing, and escapism. Being lost in an endless cycle of delusions and dreams. Through those dreams becoming someone capable of barely surviving. Lying so hard to themselves and their friends that the lie eventually becomes their reality. Feeling that as long as they are in that dream, their friends may one day experience peace and happiness. Because if those friends knew the truth, those boys would go back to being the loneliest existences in the universe. The similarities between the final fight in Omori and when Kim Dokja Company meets the Most Ancient Dream. For the longest time feeling like they are completely irredeemable, unlovable, unforgivable. Feeling that it would be better for their friends to lock themselves away for eternity. Feeling that the only way for their friends to find healing is to remove the cause of their pain - the removal of themselves from this world. Being their own worst enemies. Only being able to finally overcome themselves through the intervention of the ones they've hurt the most. Losing control of the characters they brought to life. Being the most omniscient yet powerless gods of their worlds.

Went to Llandaff Cathedral last night to hear Holst's The Planets suite. I know it's super white bread, but hot damnnnnnnnnnnnnn if this part of Jupiter ain't THE fucking shit. The acoustics weren't as impactful as I was imagining but I was stuck off to the side a bit. Still got some good sound moments tho. my in-laws have had this cat for almost two years now. we come over semi-frequently and we've house sat several times since they got her. we're house sitting again this month and finally today, she purred for me. she sprawled out on the bed with me and let me give her chin scritches and let me pet her consistently 🥹🥹🥹 it's been almost two years and she's finally purring. she's laying in the bed with me and sleeping by my side. i feel like i've really won.
