Astrology observations! (Vedic, Western)

Consider:

I never experienced true telepathy until I met a Venus conjunct Neptune man. He would look at my face and know exactly what I'm thinking and feeling, and he would be so understanding of it, even when it was something potentially hurtful to his ego. Mars-Saturn aspects in synastry is an indicator of only wanting to have sex with only this person, or could be that the couple can go for long times without being intimate and not feel like they need it.

This may sound obvious, but Ardra nakshatra people are the ones that feel so renewed by crying. They could heal A LOT by just a long crying session. And while others think "crying won't solve your problems" Ardra nakshatra people know this is so far from the truth. I am an Ardra rising and sometimes i tell my friends that i cried for hours to feel better and they are all like "if I cried like that i would feel so much worse but I'm happy for you" lol.

If i wanted good financial advice I would ask a Venus in the second house person. Specially women. Ik they are known overspenders but I had many good experiences with them.

In fact, I've seen some cases where people follow the advice of Taurus/2nd house individuals more often than other people's advice. They perceive it as being more valuable, I suppose.

Anuradha nakshatra individuals love movies about friendship and gore/horror movies. I think they like movies in general too.

Krittika nakshatra people are often perceived as "mean" or they say things that others take too personally? Idk but I know 3 cases like that. They are so unapologetic. The 3 of them were perceived as asexual too.

As a Swati moon I've always been obsessed with beauty, decorating, fashion and clothes, putting on creams, balms, perfumes and other products and it makes sense!

My obsession with beauty wasn't healthy tho. I suffered from mental illness and could see the slightest imperfection on my face. That's another thing about Swati individuals, they perceive every subtle, small detail and may become obsessed with stuff easily.

True crime documentaries are a Ketu woman´s best friend. Probably Ketu men as well, although what i observed from them is more of adventure movies, movies about survival or nature documentaries. Teen Wolf is the perfect Ketu people TV show. Criminal Minds too. And they were both created by a Ketu man.

I love Mercury nakshatra women's voices. They are also so funny and sarcastic.

I know three cases of people with a mix of tropical pisces/neptune and aquarius/uranus having lucid dreams/dreams they can partially control, and dreams about flying. They also rarely have nightmares but when they do it's not something happening to them but to other people, and they are there trying to help lol.

Rahu women or rahuvians in general could feel like they don't even understand themselves sometimes. They're so independent and hard to tame that they feel like they need something to "control" them or some kind of restraint, but nothing feels effective or worth it at the end. I observed in my grandma, a Swati moon woman, that she used to brag about how independent she was, refused to stay married, hated feeling restrained so much and then she ended up wishing someone took care of her, gave energy and time to her, took the lead for her. She doesn´t necessarily regret being someone unconventional and independent, but she recognizes that now that she is old.

Uttara Bhadrapada and Rohini nakshatra people like learning and are so curious about some aspects of sex, they may even want to be sexologists. Could also apply to Ardra.

Cancer women get a lot of hate for apparently no reason. I even heard people saying they hate Cancer women as if they knew all Cancer women in the world?? I think the most simple explanation for that is that Cancer represents a lot of what's a woman's nature and power which are erased in a patriarchy.

Everyone talks about how Aries people get over anger so easily and never hold grudges but I've actually seen the opposite. In a lot of cases they are worse than the common "resentful" water and earth signs.

Aries in general have a hard time apologizing. It's like they never did anything wrong, the others were just unfair to them. I know SO MANY examples of this unhealthy expression.

A nice observation now lol is that I've never met an Aries that didn't have beautiful red lips and cheeks.

I noticed a lot of Moon and some Mars people have a significant amount of moles/freckles. The Spanish word for mole is lunar lol.

People with Mercury/Saturn aspects or Saturn in the third house felt "dumb" when young. Because of it, they made a lot of efforts and worked hard to know stuff and be smart by reading a lot of books, watching a lot of documentaries and educational videos, playing general knowledge games, learning a lot of words and languages, taking a lot of classes, playing memory games, chess, and even researching cognitive processes and brain health.

I've noticed that many Sun dominant women have this lowkey unhealthy expression of not being good friends with other women/feminine individuals. They're the type to say women are a lot of drama or that they can't connect with them even though they don't have a specific problem with women. They may be friends with only guys, or feel isolated from women. They also used to want to be a guy or dressed/still dresses tomboyish (there isn't anything wrong with that). I think in a way it's completely understandable and even healthy! But some of them express a lot of internalized misogyny and unconscious projections that they can't or don't want to recognize. When their expression is healthy, Sun dominant people are totally the warmest, best friends. And just the type of person others need around and in their life.

Saturn in the 5th house people are often self-taught artists. Some people perceive them as boring because they can be really afraid of expressing themselves. They give a lot in romantic relationships and often don´t get the same in return but they want to keep going because they care about loving more than being loved.

Sagittarius people make good parents in general and they are so underrated as parents. They give their children freedom, make them experience fun things like traveling, and often spoil them in a good sense! They also teach them a lot of valuable things and make them laugh!

Virgos are the most considerate and thoughtful people. They remember stuff about you even if you barely know them and they barely know you. They give you what you need at the right moment. They remember how you make your bed, how you fold your clothes and then they surprise you with an act of service. They know exactly what to gift each person.

Saturn dominant people/saturn in the first house/conj ascendant could suffer from a lot of anxiety and overthinking. They also criticize themselves for irrelevant stuff and that's so sad because everytime I'm near a saturn dominant I can't get enough of their energy! There is something really pleasant about them. They are also giving, considerate and nice hosts/hostesses. They make people feel included and heard. I made a personal observation about saturn nakshatra men here (based in this video)

Ceres-ascendant aspects/Ceres in the 1st are the perfect homemakers.

Hi, as an intersex trans masc person I was just wondering if I could ask/clarify a couple things about your posts about being referred to as "afabs"

This is entirely out of a desire to better understand other perspectives so I'm sorry if its a bother, it isn't intended that way

Is it that you generally dislike being referred to as afab because it references a gender that is not your identity, or is it specifically it being used as a noun that causes the issue?

If it is the noun issue, could I ask if you can elaborate on why?

I was under the impression that afab/amab were useful and accepted ways to refer to someone's physical sex at birth, which is what is relevant in discussion about pregnancy etc. Have I misinterpreted something here?

(I'm also autistic so idk if I've missed some tone issue or sarcasm or implication here, I'm just trying to understand better so I don't offend others)

Calling me an "AFAB", the implication is meant to be that BECAUSE I was assigned female at birth and had ~female parts~, that means I must have ~female parts~ now, as if these things don't change with time and hormones and surgery, as if because I was erroneously described as female, I am the same physically as I was as an infant, and therefore I share in common everything with anyone else who was also described as female at birth, erroneously or otherwise.

Of course anything to do with being "female" isn't my fucking identity, as a man.

AFAB and AMAB stand for Assigned Female at Birth and Assigned Male at Birth.

Being assigned male or female was an event that happened in the past. I was also a fucking baby at birth. I'm not a baby now, am I? Just because I was an infant then doesn't mean you would prefer to me as an ex-infant or previously an infant. That has 0 bearing on my identity as an adult. It's bizarre to bring it up.

AMAB and AFAB are perfectly useful terms to describe that specific event - the event at birth when you were assigned a sex, incorrect or otherwise.

What relevance or frankly, business, is it of anyone's what sex a ten-year-old was assigned at birth? A twenty-year-old? A forty-year-old? A seventy-year-old?

There are loads of trans people who never went through the wrong puberty, and have had various surgeries. There are plenty of trans people who have been stealth since they were kids, where many of the people around them never had any idea they were trans and/or intersex, and they just went through the puberties they were most comfortable with.

There is no "AFAB" or "AMAB" experience that is universal to everyone based on what sex they were assigned at birth. That is a lie, it is a fiction, and it's not even a convincing once if you actually talk to a variety of other trans and intersex people. Words to the contrary are generally just based in gender essentialist ideology.

What does it have to do with anything, except that some freaks basically still think of assigned sex at birth as what you "really" are, or having a big impact on your current identity in perpetuity?

In a few years, the abilities of surgeons around uterine transplants will have improved. Within twenty years, I expect we'll see more trans women having pregnancies, and in general more people carrying pregnancies after having womb transplants and other organ transplants.

Just say "people who can get pregnant". Just say "people carrying pregnancies" and "pregnant people".

Stop trying to imagine that someone's ~femaleness~ or ~maleness~ is what the crux of the matter is here. Stop trying to project the male and female """"""biological""""" bullshit onto people when it doesn't apply to them.

There is no such thing as universal biological or physical sex under male and female categories, let alone shared experiences based on those categories.

Au idea I'll probably never write:

Steve as seven au, BUT he escapes at the same time as El in season 1. They get separated after Benny's, when seven tells eleven to run and definitely kills a couple government agents to give her more time.

So the a plot of will being missing and Mike finding El? Standard canon except El is ALSO looking for her brother and is worried about him. She sees that he's mostly safe and tries to help find will but also insists she go to her brother soon.

B plot of barb and Nancy...idk I haven't really thought about how that'd work without Steve's kickback. Maybe they go to a party (like actual party not the five person hangout) together and get separated and no one notices barb disappear from the edge of the lawn. Idk

The C plot is seven, kinda bloody and definitely cold, wandering out into the middle of the street, and one Robin Buckley almost running him over with her bike. She immediately clocks "guy who seems pretty fucked up" about him, and offers him a ride to her house. But Robin has never been the most coordinated of people and biking with a(admittedly probably too skinny) teenage boy sitting in her package rack is hard, and combine that with a guy driving like the devil's after him, they end up swerving of the road.

Eddie steps out, apologizes profusely, and offers them a ride. seven is sceptical, especially when both of them pause when he tells them his name, but does end up in the van. He finally gets a chance to breathe once they get to the Buckleys', and Robin gets him some leftovers.

He sits in front of the tv set to a blank station, tucks his head into his shirt instead of blindfolds, and tries to see El.

He sees her older, with flowers braided through long hair, laughing. Too far. He sees her with short curls, a patterned button down, eating something in a cone beside a mustachioed man. Too far again. He sees her tiny, scared, holding his own small hand. Not far enough.

Finally, finally, he sees her as she knows her now, mostly, standing beside a group of children and in front of a monster in a large room.

Eddie and Robin have no idea why their new friend? Has turned the tv on to static and is hiding in his shirt, but figure he's had a rough day. He pops his head back out, blood dripping from his nose, and grins, telling them he knows where his sister will be.

Anyways blah blah blah El sees where people ARE Steve sees where people have been/will be (based on where/who they are right now. Futura is constantly in motion etc).

But I want a (pre?) season 3 scene where Robin and Steve are hanging out as soulmates do, door closed because they are discussing Sensitive Subjects (gay shit) and giggling like schoolgirls. I’m gonna go into this in a little more context this time round because I’ve gotten this question a couple of times now, and am more than happy to share my thoughts. just a disclaimer that the theory I’m going to share, is what I personally believe happened, but is not rock solid proof, but does make a lot of sense. You’re all free to make up your own mind about this, open to discussion, but no one be hateful pls.

starrysaturdays and the anon who asked me earlier today about this, welcome to the show.

This post by caralara really opened my eyes and thoughts to what could’ve gone down. I seriously think it’s a possibility, and the timeline matches up, and at the time… we all really believed that we were coming super close to a coming out. Harry was becoming more flamboyant, ran with the rainbow flag, “not that important”, “don’t knock it til ya try it”, RBB and SBB and the countdown of bears “coming out of hibernation”, Belfast, the big gay war, everything. 2015 was a wild year, as we all know, and Larry were able to communicate to each other more publicly again, and yeah. We were optimistic.

That post I linked is in no way blaming zayn, like, the man needed to do what he needed to do. But it’s a major play into the brand of One Direction and having a coming out after zayn leaving is one scandal after another. It blew up too big, and PR wouldn’t have been able to handle it. They believed they’d lose a lot of the fanbase, and everything would’ve looked super chaotic and messy if it did happen. It was truly a spanner in the works of the master plan. If the boys had signed on again, there were probably some promises of coming out, too.

But I do think that Harry was meant to come out as bisexual (regardless of what his sexuality genuinely is, but it’s the safest bet for management not outing his stunts while the band is still together, and he genuinely could be bi), and the best way to make sure Harry can come out but not give Larry fans more ammo was setting louis up with a kid. Party Boy Louis™️ as we called him. They couldn’t possibly be together, even though Harry wasn’t straight. Ya know?

So anyway, I think the post I linked explains it all and I think, if this is what went down, it definitely caused a big rift between Harry and louis and zayn and that’s why louis wouldn’t forgive him for so long and said they weren’t ready to talk about what happened etc. Idk, to me, the tension there seemed more than just about how much louis loved 1d.

Anyway, moving on to your question about attempted coming outs, I think Harry is somewhat out. He’s been very ambiguous about his sexuality, and it’s a smart move. The whole Xarry thing was a good example of this (apart from the fact harries like to pretend 1d never existed so they won’t even look into it). It keeps his fanbase onboard with believing that he’ll fall in love with them because he’s never said he’s not into their gender. It’s a standard PR move, but easier to move into a full coming out and a label if he so chooses to. Before they do that though, they are genuinely going to have to start seeding a stunt with someone who does not identify as female, otherwise people are just gonna keep saying he’s queerbaiting. A lot of people already do believe that, and he’s lost fans from it. But, they’ll probably believe that being publicly with a man would be the stunt. So I guess either way he’s gonna lose, but it’s a bit safer it is the way now. I do see a proper coming out for him sometime in the future, whether or not he’ll label it, something more concrete will happen. But I think he’ll be out solo, before he’s out with louis. He’s halfway there.

Louis hasn’t really attempted a coming out at all. I think he’s happy just doing what he’s doing, but is open to coming out when the time is right, and I think he’ll only do it with Harry. I don’t think he’d come out solo. He doesn’t have the brand for it, and with a smaller fanbase (and the chaos we’ve seen of Louies vouching for his straightness and bbg being real) he’s gonna lose some fans and it’s gonna impact him a lot more than Harry, and bbg does affect this too.

If louis does come out, I don’t think it means necessarily that there will be an “end” to bbg, per se. Already we’ve seen less and less of that kid, apart from like 10 mins of louis’ doc and our annual Christmas family photo and a couple of tweets, it’s not shoved down our throats like it once was. You know why? Because bbg doesn’t serve its purpose anymore.

Louis doesn’t get that much press. He’s doing well, but if Harry had a kid, the press would neeeever shut up about it, even 8 years down the line. But bbg and F and B aren’t in the public eye anymore, and barely any of the GP would even know Louis had a kid by now. I was talking to a friend not in the industry about Louis the other day, and they were like “oh! I don’t know him. What’s the name of the one with the kid?” And I was like “… Zayn?” And they were like “Yeah!” Soooooo yeah. Bbg doesn’t get press, it doesn’t boost louis’ publicity, it just… doesn’t have a purpose anymore. And thank god it’s not shoved down our throats all the time still, but it’s also a bit of a backup plan. It’s sitting there, so if they need publicity of Louis being with his kid at his concert or something like that, it’ll make some headlines. It’ll also keep him straight when need be, and probably when Harry comes out we’ll see some kid content.

I’ve kind of weirdly come to terms recently with the fact that we might never see an end to bbg. It might just continue to slowly disappear. Even when Louis/Larry come out, he can just say he didn’t figure out his sexuality til later. That’s a totally valid thing and will be widely accepted as a reason for having a kid, and not because your management and PR team are filthy and set you up with one.

Anyway, I think S*mon felt really bad about bbg being extended after the shit show that was 2015, and that’s why he gave louis all those opportunities to get extra money and publicity on X Factor etc., and to maybe bribe him a bit to not out the stunts or take things into his own hands (like when he went holding hands with his female friend that he absolutely was not meant to do to get rid of relationship rumours with B and closer ties to bbg). That’s the only reason I can think of them acting like buddies now.

So yeah. Harry will come out first, then louis and Harry hanging out seeding etc. will happen, and then they’ll very veeeery slowly come out together. Unless the other shoe drops and they out S*mon and his cowards first, and lose all their money in a court case. We’ll wait and see.

Anyway sorry if this is a bit of an all over the shop ramble, I’m slightly hungover. But we need to just keep our eyes peeled. Things will happen slowly, but surely.

I first met him in Hogfather and I was like: WHO IS THIS MAN AND CAN WE HAVE MORE OF HIM???

I mean, Favourite. I love him. He can do no wrong. He should, in fact, be more of a menace and a nuisance to everyone.

I feel like I've rambled enough about Downey on this blog for most people to know my views on him. But I do like that the bits of information we have on him paint a surprisingly complex picture for someone who gets like five to ten minutes of page time whenever he's in a book.

As I know you and I have discussed this before, but I love the example of: We know that in his late forties/early fifties he listens for the Hogfather's arrival (and knows he is real, this is not a widely accepted thing in AM). Think of seventeen-year old Downey, what a lout he was, what an absolute prick, what an unaware and childish youth, who grew up to be a man who knows the Hogfather is real, listens for him on Hogswatch Eve while he's up late working (on a holiday), and has an open door policy for his students should they ever need him. A man who is described as amiable and gentlemanly with a kind smile (just don't eat a humbug if he offers you one. Some of Downey's chaotic and destructive tendencies remain into adulthood). Like, that's some Growth.

And to the Vetinari Ask that I got - I think that's the thing we don't see with Vetinari. There's no evident growth. Downey clearly has gone through some phenomenal changes to go from That Asshole at seventeen to the caring Guild leader at fifty. Still a snob and still a bit of a class a bastard, to be sure, some things don't change, but there was clearly still a lot of goddamn growth that happened. And that's interesting!

Anyway, love this mad lad.

Favorite moment

Probably Gaspode's description of Downey to Angua in Men at Arms where he's like "yeah, we like Downey. He gives us treats and pets, lets us roam and romp about Guild grounds, and also kills a lot of people very successfully. We street hounds are Pro-Downey for Guild Leader" and Angua is like ".....thanks?"

The Night Watch bit with him is also a favourite moment. He's so awkward and horrible and I love him. Even Ludo is like sighing and going, "For some reason that man is my best friend and I don't know why."

(tbf we don't know if Ludo and Downey were friends, there's no evidence in canon to this effect, but I've head-canoned they are so roll with it.)

Idea for a story

I want more Downey & Jocelyn adventures because I love Jocelyn.

I would love a story of Downey and Vetinari and the rest of the usual crew (Vimes, Sybil, Angua etc.) out on some sort of diplomatic mission to idk, Brindisi or something. But it's one of those diplomatic trips that are half-holiday half-work.

Downey is just wine-drunk constantly on the good Brindisi wine and trying to explain to Vimes how wine tasting works and Vimes is like "I don't drink and also it seems fake to me" and Downey is like "you're such a plebian". Sybil is nerding out on local dragon hatcheries that are initiating a new conservation program. She comes back covered in dirt and mud with her hair sticking up at all angles and crowing about the latest thing she saw and Vimes is like "that woman is the love of my life."

Vetinari is the only one actually doing anything useful but he makes Downey come with him to schmooze the local nobility because I've always weirdly head-canoned Downey's family as being of Brindisi extraction for some reason. Anyway, Downey is at these functions being all Posh and stuff and someone is like "Downey, Downey - you're Amos' boy aren't you?" And Downey is like, ".........I have this distinction, yes." Afterwards he refuses to go to functions until he can vet the list of attendees.

Vimes just grouses about the food and Downey is like "try the squid ink noodles, they're great" and Vimes is like "absolutely not." Vetinari is just like "ok, question Downey, who looked at squid ink and thought: I should put that on the pasta?" and Downey is like, "Someone with a great love for aesthetics. So probably an assassin."

Anyway, things are gently chaotic in their usual fashion until some sort of crises happens. Downey needs to either steal something or inhume someone or both. It becomes an insane heist story at this point and everyone is piled onto a tricycle going downhill at top speeds with no breaks.

Unpopular opinion

Like you, I think he's smart. He's not Vetinari levels of smart, but no one is because Vetinari is inhuman/impossible levels of smart. But you don't survive Snapcase and the politics of the Assassins Guild eventually become Master of the Guild while being a complete buffoon.

So I think he's savvy, he's good at politcking to a certain degree, he's got a half-decent risk-assessment matrix built into his brain. We know he's a good assassin, and that takes some skill and intelligence.

So yeah, I think he's smarter than he's sometimes portrayed. Even the canon is annoyingly inconsistent/illogical when it comes to this. Because TP wants him to be the butt of a joke and TP goes for people being "stupid" as funny so, that leads to illogical character actions when you look at them in the broader context of their own history and the world they operate in.

I like the implications of there being a bit of a Downey-Mrs Palm-Boggis triumvirate in the City Council. Downey is clearly looked down on by Venturi and Selachii since he's a "jumped up" lord, not from their class. So they'll all ally together when it suits them, as we see in a few of the books, but they're not regular bedfellows.

Downey seems to be friendly with the older Lord Rust, Vimes certainly seems to think that they are friends, but unclear with the son/younger Rust. How much is the two actually liking each other or Rust doing the "noblesse oblige" by taking the new blood under his wing is never stated.

But whenever Downey is really getting into mischief and mucking about doing nonsense its with Mrs Palm or Boggis or both and I really like that. I think it says something his malleability. He goes up and down the class ladder, basically, in terms of friendships and political allies. Which is an interesting data point on someone as snobby as Downey.

Favorite headcanon

The canon is that Downey is a "jumped up" lord. This is stated in the books. I head-canon that he's more jumped up than he wants people to know. I always write his parentage as being very mercantile - his father is in trade. A merchant who still has his hands in the business, rather than letting others run it on his behalf. And his family is rich, absolutely rolling in it, but they're not One Of Us.

So when he goes to the Guild as a student Downey hyper-performs everything (class, masculinity, posturing and compensating all over the place) in order to be accepted by his colleagues there as one of the nobility, or veritable nobility. Doesn't work to the degree he would like it to, of course. But dad's wealth does help to bandage over some things.

This is also why he's fixated on Doing the Done Thing/Social Rules. I don't think Downey has many morals (he has maybe five (5) morals), but he does place great value on being included by those whom he esteems as Cool and will follow behavioural rules to allow him access and acceptability from those people. The Rules are also what ensures him social and political standing and safety, which he values. Also, I think from a young age Downey figured that if he Does the Done Thing he'll be able to crack the code of climbing the social ladder and so he gets weird and pissed off when people don't follow The Done Thing yet are still somehow part of his class world (e.g., Vimes after he marries Sybil).

I wish I had been around for the age discussion a couple of days qgo 😭😭 I feel like I'm one of the older people in f1blr (over 30) and I tend to avoid fics where the mc is so young or in uni or whatever. even with the older drivers, it's rare you come across mcs who are close in age, let alone older :/

I can relate to feeling weird about thinking lando is cute tho dmleld, since I am a decade older. but he is cute, and charming, and funny and I don't think it's weird to recognise or like those traits in an adult man. lando when he was new to f1 was a cutie pie, the kind of person I would pat on the head, but now he's grown up somewhat I think it would be infantilising if I never changed my view of him or any guy as they got older. I do still prefer guys who are closer in age to me (carlos to lewis) but I would not immediately turn lando/a guy away because of his age. I'm not like leo dicaprio, who only dates young women but I can't say I wouldn't do it if the right person came along either. Maybe it’s just me but I’ve never really had hope for buddie to be confirmed in the first place. Like I do ship them and if they did I would be happily surprised but really it’s just never something I’ve entertained as a possibility and I don’t know where the people who believe it will happen have been but we just don’t get ships like this imo.Maybe there’s a few exceptions even if I can’t think about this right now but when a character’s introduced as straight or nothing has been said so we assume straight and then fandom ships them with an equally assumed straight person the show and networks and all that don’t want them together because they’re ‘normal straight people’. Like in LS from the beginning TK’s introduced with a bf he wants to propose to, they don’t lose their normal character since that was him from the start. Also if it’s acknowledged that all the buddie moments were building up to a romantic relationship then it sheds light on other similar relationships in other shows or films that we were ridiculed for shipping when really it’s not so different. I really don’t know if I got my point across here and I’m sorry this got so long winded, maybe I’m just a cynic but I think my buddie dreams will have to be contented with fanart and fic.

It's definitely not just you who has felt that way, lol. We hear it all the time, just more aggressively. To expand on what you said, the biggest piece of "evidence" in favor of this argument is that it's been six seasons and neither one's sexuality has been altered or allowed to evolve in the slightest. And it's not the opportunity wasn't there, right? Maddie and her "boy crush on Eddie" remark or saying she wouldn't want Josh to date her little brother. Then TK (falsely) assuming Buck was being flirtatious. Tim (he was the main show runner those years) could have said any of that meant something moving forward (maybe a "Buck is canonically bi, but we haven't explored that part of his story...we're waiting 'til it feels appropriate"), but the only part he addressed was the TK thing, and he connected to Tarlos since Carlos wasn't physically present. Compare that to Nancy becoming the first bi character of the 911verse. She came out while in a relationship with Mateo. She is still in that same relationship now. The show isn't trying to "prove" she's bisexual by having her hook up with or date a woman. It's just a part of who she is. And then there's the fact that all four (technically five, with David) queer men of the 911 verse (Michael, Josh, TK, Carlos) are written as gay, not bi. Tim & co. appear to have some *opinions* (thus far) about bi men, it seems. If they date a woman? Straight. Date a man? Not into women (never were). I will continue to say, though, that people are giving the network too much grief. The canon couples very rarely do anything intimate as the seasons progress, with Henren as the outlier because 6x06 was a flashback, so *if* anyone with influence was concerned about the optics, Tim has an "excuse" not to push things too far - that's not what the focus is anymore. And even *if* someone at the network was all "idk about this :/" that's still on Tim for dodging the discussion six years in. Get out ahead of it and the message would have been received much sooner - if you're against even one of these guys getting with a dude...this ain't the show you should be watching. Move along. (Tim has no problem putting LS fandom down, so I don't see why he'd act different with OG. I do want to be specifically careful with how I address this. Please know I'm saying this with not only the utmost respect to you, but as well as Austin because this is his personal life. I hope this doesn't come across with any ill intent, because that is definitely not the intention whatsoever.

Now that Vanessa and Austin's relationship has been brought up a few times in recent months on this blog especially today with the whole "chemistry" and "energy" matching discussion on whether Austin and Kaia truly "fit" together.

I do think it's important for you and others to know especially for those who are new to knowing Austin re: weren't there for when this was a discussion. But it is common knowledge especially for those who lived in Williamsburg New York at the same time Austin and Vanessa did. That Vanessa was very cruel and controlling to Austin (she would publicly berate him).

Maybe their relationship looked and had the energy like it was together and perfect in all those paparazzi photos and Instagram selfies Vanessa would post. But it does go to show that we really don't know these celebrities therefore we can't judge what we don't know.

I hope in some way this makes sense, I reiterate I do not want to cause any drama with this, so I understand if you don't post this publicly. I just thought it was important to say.

This could all be hearsay for all we know, but IF those rumors were indeed true....Do I think she was this way towards ALL the time? NO. I don't think Austin would have been with her for about 9 years (was it?) if she had been nasty to him all that time. Just like, I highly doubt Vanessa would have been with Austin all that time had he been a monster towards her. You just don't stay with someone THAT long (Especially when you have options and are famous lol) unless you really love that person. Jmho.

I think, that like any couple, especially one that's been together for 9 YEARS, they probably fought and had disagreements or issues just like any other couple? 🤷🏾‍♀️

When you hear them talk about each other though in past interviews, and see how they interacted w/each other, they had nothing but good things to say about each other and seemed deeply in love. 😊 Granted, we don't always see what goes on behind closed doors, so I'm sure things weren't perfect, but I just don't believe that people are staying w/someone in a relationship for that long if it was lousy lol. While that can be hot and sexy at first, I can see how over time, that could get a little old for a man lol. We don't know what happened in their relationship obviously, but I think fans need to keep in mind that they only saw that one snapshot of her being rude towards him. When you look at pictures of them otherwise, they seemed VERY happy w/each other, and like best friends. Again, I can only go by chemistry vibes and what I SEE. The more I deep Thor Love and Thunder…the more upset I get. So I’m giving my gripes and thoughts. I’ve seen L&T twice now and this second time actually made me upset because it’s good but I can see the potential this film has to be better. Spoilers below…

The first issue.

I’m tired of Thor trying to find himself ….enough is enough, it’s been 6 films please I’m tired. Let’s have a conversation and story about Thor accepting his role as King bc he honestly said f it, Val you take it with her having no prior qualifications (I know she “ran” New Asgard during Infinity War/Endgame but that happened off screen soooooo where’s the proof). Thor more or less abandoned the people who he was trying to protect in the previous films. He ended Ragnarok becoming King and accepting that even though he didn’t really want to be king (rather didn’t like the way the monarchy was previously ran). We had a whole movie about Thor becoming and accepting the King role for him to not be King…alright Marvel. Also while I love Thor becoming a dad at the end of it, the abrupt-ness of it just doesn’t sit right. How is Jane going to tell Gorr and say Love will be looked after knowing she’s dying without even discussing that with Thor…now Thor is a single unprepared father, who not even 30 mins ago was having a midlife crisis about not being able to find himself. Lastly, you can’t tell me that from Endgame, everyone else (of the OG3) gets a happy-ish ending where they get to “settle down with their partner and family” and all Thor gets is a dead ex gf and a adopted child that he necessarily didn’t want….pleaseeeeee make it make sense.

Second complaint.

The romance element of the film should have been like Netflix’s Someone Great in a sense where the “former couple” is cool with not being back together. Where they loved each other and now it’s time to move on…and *cough cough* looks at Marvel, it’s okay for couples to break up and move on. Because no 1. Jane and Thor do not have the chemistry that screams couple…it screams coworkers. And no 2. Thor spent the precious film flirting with Val. Yes I’m a thorkyrie/thorval shipper but based on the interviews, the deleted scenes, Chris and Tessa’s chemistry in Ragnarok, and Tessa’s acting skills in general, you can’t convince me they wouldn’t be a good couple and that their “romance” wouldn’t be more compelling juxtaposed with Thor wanting to help his “first love” who is sick bringing up old relationship wounds. They also just suit each other, like very complimentary in the same way as T’Challa and Nakia maybe (idk most of the original MCU couples from phase 1 & 2 are not good together at all…just my opinion). Also don’t give me any bs about her being bi, she can still be bi, date women, be with women, and still end up with Thor. Like come on LGBTQ+ representation is more than just gay and lesbian couples. What would have been more compelling was Thor has this ex gf, Jane, who comes back into his life who he didn’t really have closure with who is also dying from cancer who helps him see that he truly is not lost because while he has lost he has also found in the group of people he met in Ragnarok and a connection with Valkyrie.

Third grievance.

JUSTICE FOE GORR. We should have seen this man causing absolute carnage. How is it this man named the God Butcher but we don’t see butcher not one God? This movie also had the potential to clear up some confusion about the tier levels of Gods. Bc Thor is a Norse god but also not a god but an Asguardian alien. The Eternals are the base for the Greek gods but then the Eternals aren’t real. Then the Egyptian gods are actual gods that use humans as avatars. Like let’s unpack that a little bit. Maybe Gorr going on a quest to kill all the gods full serial killer vibes presented like a True Detective or 48 Hours-type thing and Thor and co find out about these different levels of Gods through their murders or takes some time to give exposition about the gods helping clear up and connect the “Cosmic” sector of the MCU phase 4.

Sn:Also what happened to the piece about if a God loses their followers they perish? Am I making that up or no?

Idk. I’m just talking randomly and needed to get that off my chest.

And I didn’t hate the film by any means, it just could have been better. It was a group project where everyone didn’t pull their weight and ultimately turned in an okay project that actually had a lot of potential. The plot was missing character development and the character development was missing plot. What we got was good but there was no purpose for anything cohesively. The film just had a lot going on to and when trying to fit everything in it lost some of its direction. This movie told the right story the wrong way.

SaL anon here bestie, honestly confused as to how to feel about this episode, though probably time will tell. I do 1000% agree having an episode this packed following the off-brand cold case file episode was...a choice. Imagine how much more understandable Buck's choice would have been had we just come off the episode where Lev dies just as he figured happiness out?? Or Hen's forced to decompression after she just spent last episode going full speed 24/7?? Emotional continuity is a thing and I

feel like having a detective story in between just made things jarring. My favorite part of the episode was the Eddie and Chris stuff, which was excellent, but also contained to this episode (not to say every arc has to be contained, but if it's going to build over the season...). Anyway, as for Buck's story, we'll see where it goes. We all thought his obvious misery in 5a would lead to a reckoning in 5b and look how that turned out. Still it wasn't bad, just could've been better.

Okay but I am ABSOLUTELY with you on not knowing how to feel and I think part of that is because SO much was crammed into this episode that it didn’t feel like anything got the time to breathe! If they had trimmed down 6x03 and put part of this episode into it, we would have had time last week and this wee to see things like the discussion when the crew catches up after Chim got abducted and Buck almost got hit by that car, Maddie and Chim talking about their rough calls and finding some comfort in each other (I guess couples therapy is off the table? 🙄), and while that Buck/Hen scene was everything, I think he needed to talk to one other person and I get WHY it wasn’t Eddie yet (hopefully because when they DO talk about it, it will reveal some things but it’s been over a season and they haven’t talked about the shooting or will and not even about the tsunami or well incident soooo 🤷🏻‍♀️), but honestly I think the talk about his new self-help book/plan to say yes could have been the talk that happened with Eddie, and his talk with Maddie could have been about the Daniel of it all, and maybe about what happened with him and Chim and the near miss. But you’re also so right about the emotional continuity as well

I just think this episode was too packed and now we’re not even coming back to this storyline with Buck for another 3 episodes?! It all just still feels so messy. We have Buck off work with zero explanation (after last season was all about how they didn’t function correctly when they weren’t all together as a team), we have Hen asking for a second chance this week which was in the synopsis for NEXT week, no Madney couples therapy, who knows if May got dropped off at collage ever because we certainly didn’t see or hear about it or her after her quick spot in 6x02, Ravi’s name hasn’t even come up in 4 episodes, and Buck and Eddie have been so separated and not having conversations since 6x01 that even casual viewers are taking notice! And don’t get me started on that “I think curiosity killed the birdwatcher” nonsense. KR really thinks that if this show isn’t being a gritty police drama, then it’s just corny and unserious because, as I’ve said before, she just does not get the heart of this show. It used to be funny AND earnest, but now it just feels like it’s sometimes cold and like it can’t be earnest about it’s ridiculous calls, it has to be quippy like a tiktok video or something. They have to put in these scenes that say “we’re not REALLY caring about this man trapped under a tree, this is a dumb thing but we’re doing it *ironically* so you can’t laugh at us. IDK it’s just...off.

As for the sperm donor thing, I don’t even know how I feel. I figured he would lean towards yes but then after thinking make it a no, but committing like that makes me feel so bad for that couple if he changes his mind later. And I know everyone wants to talk about Daniel and the will, but also the way people are acting like a family history of cancer (which is incredibly common) is grounds to not father a child has rubbed me the wrong way and feels very...eugenic-y. Like, if he had a gf we might get one scene like we did with Maddie mentioning having a family history of cancer an that would be it! But while I do think the couple should be told about his family history, I don’t see why an otherwise healthy man shouldn’t be allowed to consider his genes being used to make a child. Plus who knows what kinds of other stuff his parents didn’t tell him or Maddie! Heart disease, diabetes, who knows what else is lurking in their family tree. Who knows what’s going on with the woman who will be carrying the baby and HER family history! It just feels weird that people are acting like Buck shouldn’t even be considered. Then there are the people hoping he’s infertile because for some reason the only way he can accept that he already has a family with Eddie is if he has NO option of ever having biological kids? (also, the friend is already infertile, which is why we’re getting this whole dumb thing, do we really think they would make Buck *also* infertile? They won’t even let him kiss a man (yet 🤞🏻) you really think they’re going to show him being unable to “perform”?) I think we all know Buck is not capable of walking away and hopefully the end result of this storyline is something good but right now it really feels like they just do not know what to do with him because they HAD the “oh” moment for Buddie a season ago in 4x13 and instead of leaning into it they swerved hard and Buck has just be circling in limbo waiting for it to be “time”. 

At least we got to see Hen/Buck drunk besties under far better and more fun circumstances (Eddie/Maddie drunk besties WHEN?!), Bobby was sooo Dad shaped this episode, ARMS!, Eddie being a great dad and being willing to open up to his family (118 and Ramon) to ask for help and advice, Chris is a pre-teen for sure and still just as much of a national treasure and I’m so excited to see him growing up and where this is going to go, and I don’t care what anyone says Noah is still such a sweet little bean. I will say for as packed as this episode was and as unfulfilled as I was with some of the things we didn’t get to see because this episode had too much going on, I did have fun while I was watching the episode, and I’m still very much excited to see what’s coming next. I feel like this sperm donor storyline as the potential to be like the Eddie/Ana storyline where it was rough the first go around because it didn’t make sense that after the things she said about Chris, why Eddie would want to be with her, but it DID give us some good insight into Eddie and the ending of that relationship was *chef’s kiss* and made it easier to watch again knowing how it ended, even if some of the choices along the way weren’t always great. (unlike the tay kay stuff which just got worse and worse and is rough to watch in s4 knowing how long it’s going to miserably drag out)

This is probably rambling and incoherent at this point (being back in the office 9 hrs a day is frying my brain) so sorry for the word vomit. Maybe over the next few days I’ll figure out how I feel about all this. Until then, thanks for giving me a reason to ramble. Glad to know I’m not the only one unsure of how to feel.

He stared at the man in front of him, trying to place him, to remember… He was sure they met before, he looked familiar- DC. He met him in DC. They fought. He was with Steve. He wasn’t sure he remembered Steve. He read about him and himself at the museum, but he didn’t know what he learned and what were memories. He knew his name was James Buchanan Barnes, but he went by Bucky. That, he found out at the museum, too. He was confused a lot lately, the more he learned and the longer no one messed with his head. Some memories came and went, he remembered things and then forgot again. It was confusing.

Now, the man in front of him. He didn’t look like anyone else who knew who he was. Most people had fear in their eyes, some immediately fought him, some tried to run. Except Steve. And this guy. He wasn’t scared at all. He seemed tired and exasperated. Strange.

“Man, you’re not easy to find.” he said, leaning against the doorway, like this was a casual conversation. He had to know who Bucky- who the Soldier was, right?

“You shouldn’t be here.” Bucky responded quietly. “Nobody warned you about me?” he asked tentatively, already calculating all the possible ways to escape. Preferably without hurting the man. He didn’t want to hurt anyone else. He didn’t think he wanted to, at least. A part of him wanted to kill him and run, but he resisted the urge. For now. He didn’t want to, but who knew for how long he would remain himself, or if he was even himself right now. Maybe the Soldier would take over and kill him. He had no idea how all this worked. He didn’t want to hurt anyone else… 

“Oh, I got a warning.” he smirked. Huh. “I know what you’re capable of. I’m not scared, though.”

“Why?”

“Do you want me to be scared?” he raised his eyebrow.

“I don’t know.” he answered truthfully. Then, as he kept staring at him, something clicked. “Oh. You’re the guy with wings.”

“Yeah.” he fucking chuckled. “That’s me. I’m Sam, by the way.” Sam added, then frowned. “You don’t-? Are you okay?”

“I don’t know.” Bucky repeated. He had no idea who he was, his memory was all jumbled, he wasn’t sure what was real and what was just put in his brain, he remembered and forgot stuff all the time, it was all so weird. So, he was probably very much not okay.

“That’s fine. I bet it’s gonna take time. And a lot of therapy, probably.” he added the last sentence quietly, but Bucky heard it anyway. Sam moved away from the doorway, closing the door behind him, and coming over to sit at the table. He moved so confidently, as if he knew this place well, and as if they were just old friends chatting. As if Bucky couldn’t kill him in one swift move. “We should probably talk.”

“About what?”

“Steve and I have been looking for you for a while.” he started, but Bucky interrupted.

“I’m not going anywhere.” He didn’t know what they were going to do to him if he went back. He barely remembered his childhood and Steve, and chances were he’d forget what he remembers soon. The memories were there, but they weren’t solid, and it was so frustrating. “And no Steve.” he added after a pause. He wasn’t ready. Steve knew the old him. The old him who was dead. He wasn’t the same guy, and he wasn’t sure how Steve would treat him or react to him. Besides, again, his memory was tricky.

“Okay.” Sam nodded a couple of times, clearly in thought. “Okay. We don’t have to do anything rash. But, well, I found you. So what are we gonna do about it?” he asked in a tone that suggested he really did want to discuss it and get Bucky’s opinion and he wanted to know what Bucky wanted to do. He couldn’t remember – ha, funny, he couldn’t remember shit nowadays – the last time someone asked him that. He couldn’t remember the last time someone cared what he thought.

Slowly, carefully, his eyes not leaving Sam’s relaxed posture, he took a seat opposite him. Sam treated him like a human being, despite knowing who he was and what he did, or at least some of it. Bucky could entertain this conversation for five minutes before fleeing once more.

I agree with you, nonnie. The financial considerations and the role of the studio are major factors to which I don’t think most people are giving enough weight. It’s a sticky situation all around. //

You're probably not gonna post this, idk why I'm wasting my time writing all this but it needs to be said.

Most of the sane people who understand that this was a business contract don't hate her because she did everything she could to make the movie work or continues to make questionable choices to promote the movie. It's not good but fine, it's business. Harry isn't a poster child for honest business either.

The problem arises from the fact that she lied about flo and Shia. And what actually happened. It's one thing to omit the truth and not talk about what happened but she's been basing her entire movie on female pleasure (which is wrong because it's SA and nothing else) and female empowerment (her lead actor won't look in the same direction as her, what does that tell you). It's the constant lies and her lack of accountability in literally everything. This is her movie, period. If this goes bad, good, or if somethings wrong with the movie, it's on her. Not on Harry, not on flo, not on anyone but her. And she just has zero accountability and continues to do things knowing how wrong they are. Basing a film on female pleasure especially after the pictures we've seen the last couple of days? How do you base a thriller movie that contains sexual assault and doing everything against the women's will and say it's female pleasure? That's my problem with her. And yes larries are in the wrong for picking apart every little thing but they were right about Olivia. She isn't a good person. If this was a man, I'd hope we'd do the same thing. She doesn't get a pass because she's a woman and That if this was a man, he'd get away with it. It's unfair and wrong but she's supposed to be held accountable for this because she's wrong, not because she's a women. You're probably not even gonna post this because it's always "poor Olivia" on this page and I respect you but defending Olivia or even sympathizing with her after the last month of what we know is whats wrong. And no this doesn't mean it's poor Harry either. He's done stuff too and that can be a different conversation but anyone defending Olivia and saying "if this was a man, it would be different" is the problem.

Here’s the thing: I just don’t feel like contributing to the shitstorm. I wouldn’t say that I like Olivia. I don’t feel any kind of affinity for her. It seems like Flo is genuinely hurt and offended by what happened on and off set, and that’s not for nothing. Shia’s track record when it comes to professionalism, women, and just being a nice person is not so great and I’d bet that there’s more to the story than what we’ve heard. At the same time, I don’t understand why Olivia didn’t stick to the studio’s line about scheduling conflicts. I don’t get into any kind of discussions about “good” and “bad” people because sometimes I’m not sure that Harry or Louis or their families or Eleanor or literally anyone in this story is a “good” person, either.

What bothers me is that people will allude to similarly questionable things Harry and Louis have done and basically say, “Yeah it’s not great, but we can forgive it; we’re talking about Olivia now.” And then write entire essays about why Olivia is in the wrong. And it just creates a really gross culture online and in real life.

Just binge-read the “My Aunt Is a Monster” graphic novel by Reimena Yee and it is one of my new favourite graphic novels omg

Like not only is the art (especially the colouring) INCREDIBLE but the story is so good to?? The phrasing/storytelling makes it clear with there is some unreliable narration at times, so before you finish chapter 1 you could be led to believe that it’s like “oh maybe the aunt isn’t really a monster, it’s just because the girl telling the story is blind” BUT NO they make it very clear by mid-chapter 1 that the aunt is, in fact, actually a monster. (The cover makes it obvious, but ofc it could just be misleading.)

I guess this is sort of spoilers, but I’m pleasantly surprised that there wasn’t a twist that there was no magic and everything was real (in-universe). In the forward, the author does thank blind/visually impaired people & their allies for making the world more accessible to the former, so I think it’s great that the main character (Safia)’s disability isn’t used as an explanation of sorts on how the magic is happening

And then there are different POVs too omg I love how they show the different perspectives AND ALSO LITTLE HINTS/FORESHADOWING!! Or a callback technically but I’ll discuss that under the cut.

Side note, I gotta try some dondurma sometime…

!! SPOILERS ahead !!

Just a couple mild spoilers first, Aunt Whimsy is cursed to be a Makara which is a nice way of including some Hindu culture! (The author mentions in their biography that they like to include irl cultures in their work, so props to them!)

Tbh I felt like the ending of the ancient city was a little rushed, though. We’re told that the “scourge” has been released and that they need to go inside somewhere to protect “Paradise,” but then cut to the next scene and they’re outside of the place and there’s no explanation as to how that fits with the ending/epilogue. I understand this is most likely a setup for a sequel, but like, the end and epilogue don’t make it seem important if that’s the case. Other than Hebe having a Makara hand now, though honestly that could just be something she has to live with and left ambiguous.

But MAN can Reimena Yee draw some nice fire omg, any time Aunt Whimsy is in her full Makara form, the colours/line art are so cool!! I’m biased because my favourite graphic novels are in similar styles lol but either way, very neat that certain special pages have coloured Lineart instead of black.

ANYWAY I love callbacks and so in this book, my fav callback is the Bureau of Suspicious Intent’s logo being an apple. This is my favourite kind of callback too, where it’s technically a Chekov’s Gun but the writing makes it seem more like foreshadowing (because the callback itself is a build up rather than just the payoff)!

Idk if they establish that Ms. Cathryn bakes apple pies before they reveal she’s ex-Bureau (since they mention it after), but if they do, then that’s the first lil breadcrumb

Yee also shows a gold apple on Hebe’s journal/notes when she’s first introduced, but tbh I didn’t recognize it as an apple because of the style/size lol it was kinda just a blob

Then they introduce the Bureau with the gold apple logo but make no mention of it!! So it’s a callback that works only in a graphic novel since it’s a visual thing!!

so on the cruise ship, you can start to catch onto the ploy about to happen just because there is a suspicious amount of people wearing gold [apple] accessories… 👀 *squints eyes*

ALSO the other great callback is Lord Fauntleroy being a stowaway on the ship/adventure! I think his is a good example of the more overt Chekov’s Gun where they make a note several times that he sheds and call it out again when Hebe gets allergies (without explicitly saying he tagged along)! You can infer pretty easily what’s gonna happen since there’s a panel where they mention leaving Fauntleroy outside yet the taxi driver notices the fur, but it’s nice that it isn’t really mentioned until Hebe’s allergies (since, realistically, the characters would not think Lord Fauntleroy is there).

Anyway I love books and have been on a graphic novel binge 😍 hoping one day I can make one myself or use it to practice visdev work!!

Hi yus 🥹 I really don’t know who to come to about this but I just need some advice.

I’ve been friends with this girl since the start of uni 2 years ago and everything has been great. She’s trying to be an influencer online and gets some PR from k-beauty brands which I wholeheartedly support her for. I’m more of a private person so I don’t post much and stuff but every time we go out she would like to take lots of pics and film tiktoks. Most recently, we went out to eat and took photos together on each other’s phones and sent them to each other to discuss which to post (something we’d always do to make sure no one feels bad about a photo they didn’t like getting posted) and there was 1 specific photo I just didn’t like of myself- the lighting/angle just wasn’t doing it for my face and it was just an awkward pic of me overall but she looked good. She asked me if I was okay with it and I said “oh no that one makes me look kinda bad” and she told me she understood and we moved on. We both posted our agreed pictures of each other as a picture post on Instagram and she also posted a few reels of us. A couple days pass and I found out today that she had posted a photo collage reel with music that had her at the beginning with the photos I took of her and then that pic of me which I had specifically told her not to post, moreover, that’s the only reel she didn’t tag me in either.

I understand how life is and people can be busy and forget yk? But this would be the third time this happened where she’d post the 1 pic I’d tell her I didn’t like or where I just didn’t look good at all. I asked a close high school friend whom I still keep in touch with and explained all this to her and she said it really sounded like her actions were coming from a place of jealousy because she didn’t want me to “look too good” next to her on her account and even pointed out how she’d get a few comments from people complimenting only me on the pics of us. I really don’t want to assume the worst and I’d hate to think that of her but I just need some insight.

hey bb. aw man :( it’s literally the worst to have friends like that. at first i was thinking that you should maybe confront her & ask her why she posted that pic despite you telling her not to, since it’s clear that she didn’t want you to know bc she didn’t tag you in that reel only.

but then i saw that you said she did it 3 times now 🥲 & the thing about people commenting on you instead of her on her own posts and i agree with your other friend. it could be coming from a place of jealousy if people are commenting things about you on her posts.

i had a few friends like this too. when i was in high school and even though i would stress that i do not like a certain picture or video, they would still post it. until i stopped taking pictures with them altogether bc idk if just didn’t feel right like?? a real friend wouldn’t do that. they’d want you to look good no matter what and from what you said she seems like a toxic person to be around.

in this case you could either confront her or offer to take pics of her alone & vice versa whenever you guys go out instead of you taking pics together. or just stop taking pics altogether. she wants to be the influencer right? so if people are gonna continue to compliment you under her posts, i feel like her jealousy would get worse 😅 that’s just my two cents. i’m here if you need anything else xx
