Good Omens Rant because FEELINGS
spoilers for Season 1 and Season 2 of Good Omens ahead, read at your own risk if you haven't watched it yet.
okay so can i just point out how much the ending of s2 fucked me up like what
They KISS the Aziraphale goes all, "I forgive you" and I go nooooooooo and I actually shed a tear or two which N E V E R H A P P E N S ? ? ? ? ? I don't cry over books and shows!!!! And yet here we are!!!!! I think Neil Gaiman will be hearing from my nonexistent therapist omfg
like i mean they just , and just, and i hate metatron now too
So uh season 3??? Better be a thing??? I don't care how long I have to wait???
And also props to Maggie and Nina for 1. convincing Crowley to talk to Aziraphale-or try to anyway, 2. for coming to terms with the fact that they aren't ready for a relationship yet, like that was beautifully done congrats.
I think Crowley is probably taking his feelings out on those houseplants...poor houseplants. And also poor Crowley. And poor Aziraphale. And poor M E
Season 2 just gave me, like, 50 more reasons to go to therapy wooo
All aboard the "We will never recover from this until Season 3 or something" train!! Because I cannot even,
Those scenes with the wings, you know the ones, the one where Aziraphale shelters Crowley with his wing, and the one where Crowley shelters Aziraphale with his wing, they just hit so. much. harder. now.
Mmm yes very different train of thought right here, but I wonder if we will see more of snake Crowley, and what happens after this
BACK TO THE RANT, Aziraphale. Is he going to try to reinstate Crowley as a n angel anyway or is he just gonna bury himmself in work and stuff until he is just too fucking overworked to think about crowley??? Like, what he do? and Crowley, how will he deal? What he gonna do now omg, he can't rly go back to hell so..........and like he didn't wanna go back, i think?
yeah moral of the story i am dying of Good Omens overload, someone help please.

Dan, thank you. Your show was everything. Thank you for giving me hope and courage to live in my present and make a better future.
(Also the relevant and very gay jokes were amazing and you’re legit an incredible comedian)
I find it funny how I went in for a fun sarcastic view on the world and went out with the courage to… just exist. Because that’s what Dan (and Phil)’s content gave all of us. A place to laugh at the stupidity of the world but also give us hope with meaningful content and beautiful people.
I just hope that we are giving you even a fraction of that hope and joy with your shows that you gave us, and have been giving us for the past decade or so.
Life is terrible and beautiful and full of doom and gloom and hope and joy and it’s all incredible.
Watch his show. And - embrace the void and have the courage to exist. Thank you for the incredible time, nerds. 🧡✨

just some casual ragging on episode 30 of avm
Shorthands for names:
Orchid: Pink stick figure, one of Purple's parents.
Regular (Regina) Blue: Blue stick, the other parent.
King Orange/King/Mango/Mango Tango/MT: King Orange.
Sec/Second: The Second Coming
CS/RGYB: Color Squad (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow.)
And that's it! Enjoy my rambling.
First of all, that scene at the end with Purple seeing King as Reg: The only logical explanation that doesn't completely invalidate the previous episode would be for Purple to be seeing two people who used and abused him running towards him, and his only instinct is 'get up, get up and fight, be good enough for them, be good enough' so he does the only thing he's been taught to do: get back up. Otherwise, the scene doesn't make sense. Plus, Purple would have ran towards Mango to hug him if he'd seen this as not a threat.
The episode really made me almost cry while watching it, but afterwards I got thinking. Does it really make sense? Why did King have to get this whole-ass sad backstory to explain his motivations? Well, because otherwise, he's just evil because he can be. Then Sec and the CS would have to eliminate King altogether. And I don't think that would be a satisfying ending either. It just wouldn't work with the rest of the series. King has to have a way to be redeemed, and although I love the idea of a parent-child dynamic between King and Purple, it needed more time to build. Purple can't just trust King after being used by him and after meeting him only about a day ago. A better (but still very flawed) ending would be for Purple to go with CS and in the next episodes, Purple and King could build trust. King could eventually start temporarily living on the PC with the Color Crew (CS + Sec) and then Purple and King could start falling into a parent-child dynamic.
I also felt like the episode was really rushed. It just wasn't cohesive enough and everything went entirely too fast.
But can we just talk about how much of an absolute CHAD Red is??? Like, OMG, the guy gets himself possessed again, ON PURPOSE MIGHT I ADD, and then he faints, and then just like--gets right back up?? How???
And that just about wraps it up! :)
Another ramble finished. :D
