IB Econ real world examples - the bane of my existence

do most people in their 30s keep their high school diploma somewhere easily accessible?

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother doing the IB program, especially here in Spain, where basically I am probably going to end up just being accepted in college due to the national exams.

I feel like I am always doing more work than other people. So, I have a doubt:

Do most schools focus only on the IB programme itself (only focusing on IB content) or is it common for schools to mix it up with their national school system??

(My school gives lessons separating them in an IB section and the “traditional” one, with the regular exam system, and grades)

I don’t even know if I am expressing myself correctly here haha🥲. But I am genuinely curious about how it works in other places.

i want to find whoever made the may 2024 exam schedule and just. collapse into tears in front of them. bear witness to my crumpled form and let my despair be burned into your very consciousness. my tears shall flood this earth and its salt will leave all fields barren. i did not know you so unkind to bestow such hell upon me.

My advice for the TOK essay:

Please stick to deadlines

Don't worry about how trash the first ever draft seems to be. My own first draft was 900 words - way less than the actual word count (1500). You're supposed to get feedback on this draft anyway so you can improve it further.

Select a question you know. If you're given a question like I was, look at ALL the key words carefully. Your supervisor, if they're good, are supposed to explain what these questions mean in class.

Ask your teacher for help. Only looking at the exemplars for the essay won't help you because the good essays are difficult to understand and full of jargon.

Most importantly:

You will be required to use 2 examples of events relating to two areas of knowledge (most often). Build your essays around your examples.

Don't describe the example in too much detail, but you should analyse it and relate it to the question.

when i was in highschool i let people cheat off my work and tests a lot of the time. i also cheated a lot on my theater homework.

Question for people who have lived on campus during college or university

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I'm really really curious for an answer. I saw an excellent post from a woman on here talking about her discomfort with male OBGYNs, and how she's going into practicing gynecology to be another woman in the field. It made me so inspired to think that I could potentially do work that could benefit women's rights and health... though I'm not med school material. So what other jobs/careers would let me help women tangibly? Other than I guess nonprofit jobs, which was my field previously* and could be an option but I have my reservations.

Tl;dr - what jobs or lines of work are ones that exist to better the lives, health, rights, etc. of women?
