Neve Gallus got word the Venatori is starting yet another blood ritual right in the heart of Minrathous, and Dock Town's most workaholic detective did what she always does best: barging straight into danger.

Though this time, Neve finds herself waking up to an injury more permanent than usual. On her lap laid a small, green serpent she saved by disrupting the ritual earlier— its breathing barely had any life left.

Looking at her now missing right leg, Neve wondered, "Who could have stopped such severe bleeding?" She then panned across the crumbling site full of corpses— not another single soul is around. Odd. Though the falling rocks gave no time for further investigation. With the dying reptile around her shoulders, Neve limped her way out.

Little did the ice mage know this was no ordinary reptile— As it turned out, that rumor about snake people living among Dock Town's inhabitants seemed to be true after all. And now, Neve Gallus is stuck tending to a mythical being who could be as old as the city of Minrathous itself, all the while learning how to walk again.

nancy drew should be bitter. she should hate the world and everything she has experienced. she should hate the evil that stole her mother from her and came back for her years later. cases should bring her dread.

we see the sanitised, her interactive version of every case she gets. where things are hinted at rather than outright said. even with the softening of the blows, there are moments that just hurt. the palpable grief in the ryokan. the fear in niobe's voice when she speaks about thanos. elisabet's voice on magnus' house phone voicemail. the way alexei's voice goes quiet before he gets loud again, because anger is so much easier than opening up. nancy's voice as she begs for anyone to take maya's disappearance seriously.

nancy has seen the worst of society. she's had her life threatened. her friends have been kidnapped. she's been falsely arrested. and yet, despite everything, she takes new cases with a smile. with the attitude of "i'll solve this and come home". never with the fear of the case going cold, of the evil in the world catching up to her eventually. it seems that no matter how many times the world hurls horrible things at her, she picks herself up and continues on. for everything she has seen, she should be a hateful, bitter person. but she's not. she's warm and cheerful, and yeah, maybe a little socially inept, but i can't fault her for that. she hasn't lost herself to the cases that she constantly gets called away to.

• Through their shared grief over Angeal’s desertion and subsequent death, Zack and Sephiroth become unshakable best friends throughout the events of Crisis Core 💙

• That said… Zack & Sephiroth have a fight/violent falling out just after the events of Modeoheim, eventually ending with a bruised Zack (who has just been slapped) calling Sephiroth a monster and storming away 💙

• Days later, Sephiroth finds a broken Zack in his quarters when he stops by to deliver something, leading to Sephiroth enveloping the mourning boy in his arms in a silent, sincere apology 💚

• While Zack IS more social than almost anyone in his friend group, he is still prone to some social anxiety every now and then, and absolutely gets overwhelmed when there’s too many people around/in one place 💙

• On a similar note, Sephiroth’s childhood days in mako tanks have resulted in him having minor claustrophobia 💚

• Sephiroth’s hobbies include: sewing, baking, reading, writing/journaling, stargazing 💚

• Zack’s hobbies include: drawing, video games, watching movies of various genres, learning new things

• Having joined ShinRa at the tender age of 13, Zack missed out on a lot of rich education, resulting in Angeal (and later Sephiroth) tutoring him in different subjects to try to give him an authentic experience (albeit Sephiroth is weary of the ShinRa-tinted history) 💙

• Sephiroth’s eyes dilate when happy/shrink into pinpricks when angered or possessed 💚

• Zack is trusted with a spare key to Sephiroth’s apartment 💙

• While Nibelheim does physically burn, the events play out slightly differently, with Sephiroth only staying in the library for a single night alone; however, because he was planning on leaving (thanks to Zack stopping by and wholeheartedly comforting him), Jenova strikes with much more purposeful force/control, eventually culminating in Zack breaking through her mind control with the power of FRENSHIP during their fight in the Reactor 💙

• Following this diverted Nibelheim, Sephiroth comes to live with Zack & his family in Gongaga, eventually being gifted his own room and official spot in the community 💚

Pre-Andrias amphibian history is so mysterious and goes so far back... so Valeriana is the last of her order but also, she invented the music box. Her order used to study the stones and temples, and the temples are used to extract the power from the users and store them back in the gems. This implies there were several previous users, and that Valeriana interrupted the cycle, discovered interdimensional travel and began the age of conquest. It's unclear whether of not this happened during the Leviathan dynasty. BUT ALSO: if Valeriana's order studied the temples, it must mean they were already there long before they came to be, and that they have mysterious origins too. There's so much obscure lore, you wouldn't even know the stones and the temples go so far back if you didn't know from the Journal that Valeriana invented the box and that she's actually an undead ghost.

And I don't even remember how the olms fit into this! Both the temples and Valeriana's gear have olm motifs so they were probably venerated and respected. I'll update when I rewatch S3.

So in order of how old things are and when the events happen...

Guardian > Stones > Stone users > Temples > Valeriana's order > Music Box > Age of Conquest > Box going missing (ca. 1020 CE in northern europe, in the """viking age""") > Technological and economic decline. Bunch of wars took place during this time. Written records lost. Instauration of the caste system > Some little lesbian alien mad her parents are making her move away or something idk

What I can't place yet is: the rise of the Leviathans to power, the origin of the prophecy, when the Core was first created and anything and everything to do with the olms. Might update later.

Random thought.

I think Manny will never truly understand Diego and Sid's issues with blood family. The three unite in the loss of it but Manny's mate and cub loved him for who he was and apparently never doubted that.

Diego's pack did not see his worth as a member but as a tool and weapon, their "love" was conditional, manipulative and fake

And Sid's family, from my understanding, simply hated his guts SO much they just prefered to abandon him and possibly leave that social creature to die in the wild.

Something I would've loved to see would be the trio bonding and seeing these things about each other. Manny loves and protects and connects with the boys but Sid and Diego can have an intimate connection bonding over hateful/abusive families and their struggle accepting that.

But maybe too could Diego and Manny understand each other by their serious masks formed by need and their need to protect their herd, as well as maybe issues of self-worth if said mission to protect their loved ones fail. Idk. (I think they had something a bit like that in the third movie? But focusing a lot on their masculinity and, not gonna lie, their fragile view of it- Idk, I'm not a born man, I don't get it-)

Real tropical. Really makes a sober guy wonder how much rum and coke Qrow's had.

Snickering, he tosses the scroll down on his lap and folds his hands behind his head. "I mean, damn, I guess they don't call Vale the icebox of the planet for nothin', huh? Hey, keep an eye out for morgens if you hit the beach today, I hear there's a shoal been causing some trouble for the local fishermen lately."

Not that Qrow will have heard about that, he thinks with a trace of resentment. Nothing much ever seems to come of those top secret missions Oz still has the guy running all over the world for, but they sure do keep Qrow out of the country more often than not.

"…Bein' serious, though," he adds as an afterthought, "me 'n' Yang were talking about sweeping the northwest beach tomorrow. Ruby wants to come with, too, but it can get pretty rough out there. I'd feel better if she had another huntsman to watch her back. You wanna join us?—assuming you're not about to take off on another of Ozpin's wild goose chases, I mean."

ㅤㅤㅤ"Everybody knows the Boss is a badass. I mean, she's Inquisitor, so it's kind of a given." He starts, a slow simmering smirk on his face, "But that's really just surface shit when it comes to Amariel... not a façade, y'know, just--" Bull shrugs, "It's hardly the breadth or depth of who she is."

ㅤㅤㅤThe Qunari tilts his chin back, eye lifting to the ceiling as if considering what next to say, "People see what they want in her, and Amari lets 'em. They see quiet, then think timid. They see sympathetic, and think pushover." The Iron Bull's smirk becomes an outright grin, something in his expression sharpening like a honed blade. "People can be pretty stupid."

ㅤㅤㅤ"Cause the truth of it is this--" He sits forward, elbows propped on his knees, "--My Kadan has a core of steel and nothing to prove. To you or me or anyone else. She saved the whole of Thedas because she believes this world is worth saving, regardless that more than half of its population wouldn't even spit on her if she was on fire."

ㅤㅤㅤThe Iron Bull lets his hands clasp between his knees, expression growing distant with the unraveling of his thoughts, "...Qun only knows why she chose a bruiser like me t'love. But I trust Amari to know her own mind, and I try to give her what she needs." Bull's hardened edges seem to soften, a contentment to his gaze. He angles a significant look at this 'Anon,' "...You ever get to be loved like that, I suggest you grab onto it with both hands."

ㅤㅤㅤA beat, and then The Iron Bull grins.

ㅤㅤㅤ"-- Oh, and there's also the fact that she's insatiable in bed, which. I mean..." The Qunari's head lolls on his neck, mouth slanting with an indolent leer, "-- if I'm the one saying that? You know it's pretty impressive.
