All these banger songs and my associated scenarios, yet I simply sit here in mortal human form, only able to enjoy the briefest respite within the sounds burning through my ears and the flashes of a world beyond my reach hovering behind my eyes.

All these timelines and sounds, the people and places - yet here I am, quietly sitting within my skin, unmoving, as music pulls strings within my muscles urging me to dance, taps beats into my vertebrae telling me to move my head and spine, sings in my veins while giving me energy and makes my skin crawl in a way that could pull me from whatever place I may be without a care in the world.

The words, ringing in my head, spoken by so many different faces, trying to leave my own mouth trying to make me join their chorus. Pulling on my vocal cords, welcoming me into the song, and inviting me to join them.

It is midnight. I cannot join them. The sleepers would wake, and punish me for enjoying the symphony.

My voice, my dance, the world's behind my eyes, they must wait.

I will join them.

But not tonight.

Skyhooks & Finn's colorblindness

In the first episode of Elements (skyhooks) Finn says to Jake "does everything seem a lot pinker to you?" And that reminded me that Finn is red green colorblind. So on the left is how we view Ooo and on the right is how Finn views Ooo.

It feels like all this Goncharov discussion is a symptom of the current state of film - which Scorsese has even touched on himself - we're at a period where most films are either superheros or indie A24 - there is hardly a middle ground, and we're clearly all so desperate for it that we've invented a film with an orchestral score and homoerotic subtext because nobody's doing it like that anymore

I hate how people will look at popular indie artists who had one or two songs go viral on TikTok and start making fun of anybody who listens to them. I've seen some post about Eveline since the dlc and while I haven't finished Shadows of Rose seeing people defend Eveline I just wanted to speak my own opinion

I hope in my other rambles I've never come across and claiming "this entirely Evelines fault fuck her" because at the end of the day she was simply a child. The people I blame for what went down was Mia and Alan (not just 1 but both) since they were supposed to be her "parents"

Although if I was a young child on a giant ship filled with people who most like weren't treating me like a child at all and instead a scientific project I'd be pretty upset. (And yes I'm very aware that she's considered a bio weapon but once again she's A CHILD)

I think we can tell why Eveline ended up going out of control and that's due to the fact that all she wanted were parents that actually loved her and made her feel normal and not this thing. Whether she understood her powers or simply didn't care (which I'm kinda on the fence of she didn't care because her top priority was having a family)

Does that make what Eveline did any ounce ok? Of course not, child or not you dont basically infect them with something that would take over their entire body making them this mindless monster that attempts to kill you. I know she's fictional but if your child was to punch someone you don't let it slide cuz "they're just a kid!" Cuz no matter it's still not ok to do. Though we can understand her lashing out in anger which lead her to do some of these things.

At the end of the day did Eveline do something not ok? Absolutely. Is she still a child that was forced into a place that caused her outlashes? Yes absolutely.
