i rly do think the undersiders should have gone to an ikea .. aisha & alec start bouncing on all of the beds w their shoes on & pretending to b several different couples of several wildly different contexts & orientations having breakups that r mortifying for everybody involved except them & also possibly lisa i think will sometimes join in & pretend to b the judge at the divorce trial if she is feeling particularly whimsical that day .. brian contemplates suicide .. brian contemplates murder-suicide .. brian contemplates .. taylor thoroughly examines the insides of every single piece of furniture w her bugs to maximise efficiency but for all purposes & appearances she is just dissociating under the white ikea lights

#i feel terrible leaving rachel out of these but she just would not go to an ikea #she doesnt do that #but they do bring her food from the food court #brian is managing the trolley w the items they intend to actually buy #aisha n alec r stuffing another trolley w pillows n plush toys n carting each other around n zooming down the aisles at v obnoxious speeds #taylor also buys one of those soft dog beds .. for rachel .. if u even care #undersiders

My wife and I take turns living the One Who Is Good With Tools stereotype.

Yesterday was my turn when I grabbed four clamps at the hardware store while she questioned when on earth were we going to need SO MANY clamps. (We ended up needing precisely four clamps for the repair we were buying the clamps for.)

Last Monday was her turn when she packed up both the cordless drill, making sure it was charged, and the Ikea toolbox, just in case, to pick up our free new desk table. (We ended up needing the screwdriver.)

#LGBTQ #stereotypes #TO THE HARDWARE STORE #the free desk needed repairing #it has a bit of cracked laminate in unimportant places #and had one piece of split chipboard #neither of us was taught any DIY at home #all I know from watching YouTube is that there is no such thing as too many clamps #especially if there's a weird swoopy bit #and she knows that people don't always disassemble stuff they want out of the house #or leave out tools for people who pick it up to do so #this lady did #but two screwdrivers are better than one #is it living up to stereotypes if you're both bi?#i thought our thing was indecision and a general lack of life skills #seriously #get the IKEA toolbox if you have no tools in the house #my dad threw it in the cart when we went shopping for my dorm #fourteen years later those fifteen euros are still some of the best money he's invested in my future #not always the best tool for the job #but A tool is better than NO tool at all

dented my new water bottle but i bought 100 flower stickers and now it's pretty and you cant see the dent. simple pleasures will cure me

#i was sooo bummed #it was pristine and pink and then it got dented and scratched up when it fell off a cart onto a concrete floor at work #but now its prettier than before #normally i hesitate to put stickers on things for some reason its like too permanent idk im dumb but this gave me permission to go crazy #its not done but the dent is hidden well and there's a few other pretty ones #im waiting to do the rest thk bc i ordered a custom sticker with my name on it and haven't decided where it goes yet lol #also my little ikea greenhouse should be here today 😌#the only bad thing is i have to relearn how to parallel park again later 🥲#but other than that it should be a nice day off #im trying to make my apartment nice but i lost the peel and stick wallpaper i wanted to put on drawers and on the side of the fridge 😔#but its still pretty nice i just dont want to fill the drawers until i find it so its not as functional as it could be lol #anyway its a beautiful morning i slept in with my kitty finally ❤️#and there's a hint of fall color put my window from an old tree turning early <3

Aw it's all good anon! I'm actually out and about again today, it's still raining heavily (again, wearing my white shoes for some reason) but atleast I'm under a roof this time.

Suppose it's one of the things I have to get used to with how borked our climate is, I'm pretty sure we're not due for a rainy season this soon.
