the way Joel and Ellie communicated during that shooting scene in ep5 was so good. There was so much trust and determination and fear there.
Like?? Joel could absolutely not miss, and Ellie knew that. She put her life in his hands there and he navigated her through it. Joel kept her safe. Just like a father would.

im writing smt for fun!! :3
Once a nightmare, subdued into a dream.
It all happened so fast, one minute Airy was announcing who would be eliminated.
The next, they were on a.. bridge? Contact lens blinked, looking from side to side. What- where.. where are all the humans? Everything looked like it was smaller than they remember. They looked up only to be met with the stars instead of the makeshift sun that always seemed to stare back at them and the other contestants. something they hadn't seen in while.
They were so confused.. they should be back with their human by now. Contact lens had realized everyone else around them were also objects. Huh.
They weren't expecting to be sent here, on the bridge. Thet noticed they were next to an abandoned red bicycle. They shrugged it off and made their way to wherever they were going.
“Maybe i should ask someone for help.” they think as they walked on the sidewalk of the bridge, cars zooming past them every now and then.
They were clueless, absolutely clueless. Where were they? Well, they knew they were in San Francisco, but exactly where? Why was everything so much.. smaller? Why was everyone else like them? An object? Did Airy send them here on purpose? Did Airy mess up?
They were so lost in thought they didn't even realize they had bumped into another person.
They blinked, stepping back before looking at who they bumped into, a nail. “Oh! My bad, sorry-” they were cut off as the nail waved his hand in dismissal, “No, no its fine. Sorry.” he said absentmindedly, he looked tired, from contact lenses perspective. They've seen tired people before, like their human. But it looked like he hasnt slept in ages, or had proper sleep.
“Are you not.. gonna continue walking or?” The nail said, interrupting contact lenses train of thought. “Right sorry, but where am i?” The nail blinked. “... You're in San Francisco?”
[Wip for now!!!]

The fact that Iroh never stops calling him Prince Zuko. Even when they’re begging on the street or camping in the wilderness, when Zuko is at his lowest, when he doesn’t even know where his destiny lies, when he feels like anything but royalty, Iroh never stops reminding him who he is. Never stops calling him Prince.
I’m going to go eat glass btw

Watching weirdos on twitter miss the point of RGU so hard they actually start thinking BACKWARDS about it is so insane to me like did we watch the same fucking show how r u gonna sit there and say with your whole chest that ANTHY is the problem and that what happened to her and Utena wasn't assault and abuse how are you going to look me in my big gay eyes and say that Utena CONSENTED to everything Akio put her through? SHE'S A CHILD? THOSE ARE CHILDREN? How did you miss the entire point of the show how did you look at a show that gives you victims who act morally grey for their own survival due to their circumstances under the patriarchy that harbors a systemic cycle of abuse and go "actually THEY ARE THE BAD GUYS" instead of realizing that the entire point is that the cycle should be broken and everything that's been occurring to these characters was detrimental to their health and perception of healthy and prosperous relationships. How did you look at Akio fucking Ohtori and go "he was right and good actually" did you just have your eyes fucking closed for the last five episodes or something are you fucking stupid be honest

its an episode about the many ways morty fears rick.
its about being afraid of rick and being afraid of his sadness and his callousness and his power. its about morty knowing the power rick has over him and being afraid of that. and knowing that ricks decisions are fickle and often Bad and that morty is going to be beholden to them. when rick jumps morty is forced to follow after and pay the same price for no crime. and the fear that for his loyalty and obedience there is no reward . Morty Is Afraid Of Being A Dog.
if rick is in a simulation where hes given everything he wants and hes too selfish and cowardly to leave when it threatens his life, morty will have to die with him.
if rick is in a simulation where he has the option of pretending nothing is wrong and everything is fine and hes too selfish and cowardly to admit its a lie even when it threatens his life, morty will have to die with him.
if rick is forced to admit he cares for morty or die he would die before saying it. and morty knows it. and Im Going Crazy

I genuinely believe Naksu haunts the narrative. Her actions and existence as Naksu heavily impact the entire story. Her past, the life she lived and the shadow of it in Mudeok. But we don't actually know any of it because Naksu is not in the story.
Like. What she lost as Cho Yeong is something that we are never allowed to forget, the loss of her body, her powers, her freedom, and her impending death as a soul shifter hangs over Mudeok's head like guillotine.
All the while we don't actually know the Shadow Assassin Naksu, she died in the first episode, as soon as the story began. Other than training and killing (soul shifters) what kind of person was she when she didn't have to rely on another person else or hide or live as someone else? We don't know and we don't ever learn any of that.
Still, her absence is the plot, yet her former existence as Naksu influences everything; Yul's actions and what she was to him, Jang Uk's goal of returning her powers, the revelation of soul shifters to Park Jin, Jang Gang's departure, Jin Mu's accomplishments, the King's Star even.
Everything is about her existence but she doesn't actually exist at all anymore.
