Social Media App Development in 2025: Top Trends, Technologies & Startup Opportunities

Social media has come a long way from being simple platforms for status updates and photo sharing. In 2025, it has evolved into a hyper-interactive ecosystem driven by AI, immersive experiences, and a strong emphasis on privacy. The shift isn’t just technological—it’s cultural. Users today demand innovation, personalization, and community. For startups aiming to enter the social media space, this is a golden era filled with opportunity and fierce competition.
In this blog, we’ll explore the latest trends in Social Media App Development for 2025, the technologies shaping the future, and why startups must partner with the right development company to build cutting-edge platforms.
The Evolution of Social Media: From Broadcast to Interaction
Social media platforms in the early 2010s were largely broadcast-based—users shared posts, and others reacted. Fast forward to 2025, and the model has flipped. Today’s platforms prioritize interaction, engagement, and real-time collaboration. Users expect more than passive content consumption; they want co-creation, immersive interaction, and community-driven experiences.
This evolution has been catalyzed by shifts in user behavior, emerging technologies, and heightened awareness around data privacy. Platforms like TikTok, BeReal, Threads, and niche social networks are redefining how people connect. Startups entering the space must not only catch up but also innovate beyond what currently exists in Networking App Development.
Key Features Users Expect in 2025

Modern users have elevated expectations from Social Media App Development. A feature-rich, responsive platform is no longer a luxury—it’s the bare minimum. Here are some core features that are shaping user engagement in 2025:
AI-powered content curation: Personalized feeds driven by advanced algorithms that understand user preferences.
Augmented Reality filters & virtual environments: Enhanced interactivity through AR-based lenses, live avatars, and digital try-ons.
Voice-first communication: With the rise of smart assistants and hands-free tech, voice notes, live audio chats, and AI-generated responses are mainstream.
Real-time collaboration tools: From shared reels to group editing, users want to create content together seamlessly.
Micro-communities: Users are moving toward intimate, interest-based groups over massive public networks.
In-app monetization: Creator tools, tipping features, and integrated eCommerce options are critical for user retention.
Startups that embed these features into their Custom Social Media App Solutions stand a stronger chance at engaging and retaining users in the long term.
Trending Technologies Driving Social Media Apps in 2025

To keep up with user expectations, startups must harness the most impactful technologies reshaping the Social Networking Solutions for Businesses. Here's a closer look at the top tech trends:
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)
AI is the backbone of modern Networking App Development. From intelligent feed algorithms to content moderation, AI is driving automation, personalization, and user safety. In 2025, AI will also power chatbots, deepfake detection, voice synthesis, and hyper-targeted ad delivery.
2. Augmented Reality (AR)
AR has transcended novelty status. Social Networking App for Android & iOS uses AR for virtual meetups, 3D stickers, location-based lenses, and avatar customization. AR enhances user engagement and creates highly interactive storytelling opportunities.
3. Blockchain and Web3 Integration
Decentralized social platforms are gaining traction. Users are becoming wary of big tech monopolies and value transparency and ownership. Web3 platforms enable peer-to-peer interaction, creator monetization through tokens, and full control over personal data.
4. Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics
ML models are helping platforms predict user behavior, recommend connections, and drive real-time personalization. From discovering content to refining in-app ads, machine learning is behind the scenes of every interaction.
5. Edge Computing & 5G
With faster data transfer and reduced latency, 5G and edge computing enable smoother video calls, real-time AR overlays, and high-speed content uploads—even in remote regions.
Personalization and Data Privacy: The Two Pillars of Trust

While innovation drives user acquisition, trust drives retention. In 2025, the two most critical aspects users look for in a Social Media App Development for Entrepreneurs are personalization and data privacy, often perceived as opposites.
Apps must strike a balance between knowing the user and not overknowing them. Personalized feeds, ads, and suggestions are expected—but not at the cost of user data being sold or misused.
Startups must:
Clearly communicate privacy policies
Offer user-controlled data settings
Implement end-to-end encryption
Avoid invasive ad practices
Startups that build trust through transparent policies and responsible personalization will be better positioned to succeed in the long run with Custom Social Media App Solutions.
Why Startups Should Focus on Niche Communities
Mega-platforms like Facebook and Instagram cater to everyone, but that also means users often feel lost in the noise. In 2025, niche platforms are rising fast, providing users with spaces that reflect their unique interests, cultures, or professions.
Examples include:
Platforms for artists to share visual stories
Private networks for fitness enthusiasts
Local community apps built around neighborhoods
Discussion forums for specific professions or hobbies
By zeroing in on micro-audiences, startups can foster stronger engagement, brand loyalty, and monetization opportunities. These focused communities thrive on authenticity, active moderation, and user-driven content. Developing a Social Media App for Businesses that caters to these niches will enable entrepreneurs to connect with highly engaged users and meet specific needs.
Why Partnering with an Expert Social Media App Development Company Matters
Building a scalable, secure, and feature-rich social media platform in 2025 requires more than just an idea—it requires deep technical knowledge, UI/UX expertise, and future-ready architecture. This is where partnering with a seasoned Social Media App Development Company becomes critical.
Here’s how expert developers can elevate your idea:
Strategy & Market Research: Get valuable insights on your niche, competition, and what users want.
Technology Stack Selection: Experts help choose the best tools for scalability, speed, and security.
User-Centric Design: A great UI/UX can make or break your app’s success. Development companies have in-house designers who specialize in engagement-centric interfaces.
MVP to Full-Scale Launch: You can start lean with a minimum viable product (MVP) and gradually scale up without compromising performance.
Post-launch Support: Real-time monitoring, performance optimization, and iterative updates are essential after launch.
With proven experience in building Mobile App Development for Social Networking, Custom Social Media apps for Enterprises, and Networking App Development Services, a reliable development partner ensures your platform is not only innovative but also robust and future-proof.
Final Thoughts: Build the Future of Social Media—Start Today
The Social Media Platform Development space in 2025 is buzzing with opportunity for startups that are ready to innovate. From AI-powered engagement to decentralized platforms, the tools are all in place to create the next big thing. But success hinges on execution. Whether you’re aiming to disrupt a niche or build the next viral sensation, collaborating with a skilled Social Networking App for Android & iOS can make all the difference.

Latest Research Demonstrates Concerning Impact of Excessive Toddler Screen Time
How much time should toddlers spend staring at screens? With smartphones, tablets, and TVs becoming ubiquitous fixtures of modern life, this question weighs heavy on many parents’ minds. A new study published in JAMA Pediatrics suggests that excessive screen time as early as age 1 can hamper children’s communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Researchers in Japan analyzed data from…

F1 Alert | Formula 1
➤ summary :: Where you create an interactive game for Formula 1 fans, and become the new star of the pits.
➤ warnings :: a quick imagine, with prior development.
➤ word count :: 0.839 words
➤ masterlist | sportify
➤ Notes :: I had this idea because Swifitie fans know about "Swift Alert", which was a game where we bet on the clothes from The Eras Tour. So I wanted to bring this into the context of Formula 1.

Working on F1's social media was a daily grind, but you loved every second of it. Between creating posts, planning content, and keeping up with trends, your mind was always spinning, thinking of ways to make fans feel more connected to the drivers. Then, one brainstorming night, the idea hit: an interactive game where fans could bet on little details of the race weekends.
— What if we created something like a more elaborate 'Fantasy F1,' but focusing on the small stuff? Helmets, suits, celebrations... — you suggested, drawing curious looks from the team. — We could call it 'F1 Alert'.
After a few weeks of planning, meetings, and tweaks, the app was ready. It was simple: fans could make predictions about visual and behavioral items about the drivers before the GPs. Each correct guess earned points, which could be redeemed for virtual prizes or discounts on official products.
On launch day, you were nervous. Would it be a hit or a flop? It only took a few hours to get the answer: it was a phenomenon.
The app had questions that kept fans hooked, especially with the fact that those points were worth something.
— Leclerc’s helmet in Monaco: same as always or something special?
— Which driver will complain the most on the radio?
— How many drivers will retire from the race? And who?
The numbers didn’t lie. In the first weekend, a little over 70 thousand people signed up. And the drivers quickly took notice.
At the pre-GP press conference, Russell was the first to mention it:
— Did you guys see that app? F1 Alert? Are you betting on my training suit now? That’s a lot of pressure! — he joked, drawing laughs.
Next to him was Charles, who also smiled.
— I saw it too. Someone bet my helmet will have gold on it. — he made a confused face. — Gold? I don’t know if I’m that fancy.
You didn’t realize the impact would be so big until that moment. Seeing the drivers talk about something you created was surreal. But things got even more intense in the paddock.
At the Italian GP, while you were tweaking a post backstage, Pierre showed up out of nowhere behind you.
— So, you’re the one behind the app? — he asked, crossing his arms with a big grin.
You laughed, a little startled.
— It depends. If you like it, then yes. If not, marketing came up with it.
— Oh, I like it. But now I have to think of new helmets every week, because I don’t want the fans to get bored. — He winked before walking off, leaving you laughing alone.
The F1 Alert craze grew with each race. Fans’ discussions on social media were massive, and even journalists started mentioning the game in their reports. Some drivers, like Norris, began directly engaging with the fans.
— Do you think I’ll use a special helmet in Singapore? Place your bets on the app. — he smiled at the line of fans in the stands.
Meanwhile, you started getting recognized in the paddock. It wasn’t something you expected, but the drivers and teams now knew who you were. At the Las Vegas GP, Max Verstappen stopped you during a technical meeting with a rare smile.
— Just wanna know... Who was the creative genius that put “Max will smile on the podium” in the game?
You tried to keep your composure but ended up laughing.
— My bad. Sorry, but it was irresistible.
— Well, I hope no one bets on that. It’ll be money down the drain. — he joked.
The interactions with the drivers became more frequent, but the peak came at the last GP of the year, when the season had ended and some fans were satisfied with their scores on the game. And the burning question was whether the game would continue the next year.
During the final press conference, Daniel Ricciardo — who was making a special appearance as a third driver — decided to mention you.
— I wanna thank the person behind F1 Alert. Thanks to them, I’m already thinking about how to celebrate before I even know if I’ll be on the podium.
The cameras zoomed in on you in the corner of the room, as everyone laughed. It was the moment you realized how much your idea had impacted the world of Formula 1.
After that GP, you got nicknames in the paddock: “the pit star,” “the mind behind the game,” among others. And while you tried to stay grounded, you couldn’t deny that the app’s success had put you in the spotlight.
Now, you were more than just another face in the paddock. You’d built an incredible bond with the fans who always asked you questions like, “What’s the next update for the game?” and you’d made amazing friendships with some of the drivers. It was all like a dream. F1 Alert was just the beginning.

itoshi rin x fem.reader
notes: dedicated to @ruruumin because you’ve always supported my bllk stories (⺣◡⺣)♡
ever since rin gifted you with a new scarf for christmas-
you had never once taken it off, wearing it around your neck like a badge of honor as a stupid grin paints your features.
the young man would let out an exasperated sigh each time he sees you with your newly gifted scarf, but without fail, rin would fix it for you, gently securing the scarf around your neck with an unreadable expression. his actions succeeds in making your heart beat faster for him, with your shy gaze never once looking away from him.
you cherished rin’s every interaction with you, tucking away each memory you had together within the confines of your mind to look back on-
like the time he shared his lunch with you-
or bought you your favorite sweets when you had a bad day-
even comforting you during those times where you didn’t do so well at school-
and you knew that you loved him as more than a friend.
yet still, it was difficult to define your relationship with rin. to put it in simpler terms, you could say that you were friends that was on the cusp of developing into something deeper-
yet neither one of you were brave enough to take that first leap.
you couldn’t say much about rin, but you knew that on your end, you felt like he deserved better than you. you had convinced yourself to remain tight lipped about your true feelings when it came to rin and believed that he simply saw you as a friend-
or worse, like a little sister.
but you digress. instead of having your heart broken, you pretend that his friendship was more than enough for you. you would feign disinterest each time his fans would come up to him, asking for his autograph while the young women would give their phone numbers to him, making you feel a pang of envy.
perhaps this was the reason why you always wore the scarf. it was one of the few physical items rin had gifted to you, giving you a tangible connection that showed just how much he cared-
even if it was just as friends.
currently, you remain on your couch, feeling a bit listless while scrolling through your phone. while exploring your favorite social media apps, you felt your heart racing with sudden anticipation at the new text notification from rin:
[ rin 💙: would you like to take a walk with me? ]
[ you 🌌: of course! when will you be here? ]
[ rin 💙: i’m already here. just come outside. ]
a grin was felt spreading across your lips when you went into your room to get ready. putting on some leggings with a sweater, you grabbed your scarf and wrap it loosely around your neck (with the sole purpose of having rin secure it for you later). as you fixed your hair, you felt the same lingering heat against your cheeks at the thought of seeing rin again.
with your keys in hand, you step out of your apartment, nearly running into rin’s chest as he stood waiting for you. a sheepish smile paints your expression when you lock the door while asking him, “where did you want to go?”
rin shrugs, “nowhere in particular, i just wanted to see you.”
you nearly drop your keys in response, eyes going wide as you held the set close to your chest. did you mishear him?
and why was that simple admission enough to make your heart skip?
an amused smile spreads across rin’s handsome features as he takes your keys while pocketing it in his jeans for safekeeping. he notices the way your scarf loosely hangs from your neck and shakes his head, hands already gripping at the ends before wrapping it tighter around you.
you feel how close he was to you, detecting the faint scent of his cologne and how long his lashes were. his hot breath was felt against your skin, and if you moved any closer to him, then you were certain your lips would touch-
instead, rin finishes tightening the scarf around you, the pad of his thumb lingering at your cheek as you trembled beneath his gentle caress. as if snapping out of a daydream, rin clears his throat before moving away from you. “sorry, there was a lash on your cheek.”
“ah, n-no worries, thank you for getting it off of me.” you manage to reassure him, feeling a little lightheaded even when he takes your hand in his, fingertips interlocking together with yours as he leads you away from your apartment building. warmth continues to spread through you when rin walks closer to the side of traffic, shielding you from any potential dangers even now.
since it was only a few days after christmas, the decorations were still on display. as you admired them, rin gently squeezes your hand, catching your attention when he walks into a park. you follow him, basking in his warmth with your heart filled to the brim with love for him.
could you tell him that you always wanted to remain by his side? that your feelings went beyond just mere friends?
were you even brave enough to do it?
as you spent several minutes debating with yourself, you became aware of how rin stopped in front of a decorated christmas tree, the plethora of rainbow lights managing to light up the entire area. the change in scenery manages to break you out of your conflicting reveries, and you take a moment to admire the tree’s beauty when rin softly calls out your name.
“i need to tell you something.”
detecting the grave quality of his voice, you face him, ready to ask if everything was okay when he suddenly frames at your face. teal eyes were filled with a sense of determination as rin leans forward to capture your lips in a sweet kiss.
the feeling of his chapped lips against yours coupled with the scent of his cologne fills your every senses. his kiss was even better than your fantasies, and it was enough to set your heart aflame upon realizing that this was real. after your momentary shock, you manage to wrap your arms around his neck, kissing him back as you tried to convey your yearning for him all this time.
rin clings to you, wrapping his own arms around your waist as he brought you impossibly closer to him, only pulling away from such a searing kiss when the need for air proved to be too much. letting out a shuddering breath, rin rests his forehead against yours, meeting your gaze with a soft smile. “i’ve been wanting to do that for so long, but never had the courage to until now.”
you began to giggle in response, pressing a lingering kiss against his cheek, “oh my god… i was debating whether to confess to you, too! but at the same time, i was so afraid of ruining our friendship.”
a rich chuckle escapes from rin’s lips as he presses his own kiss against your forehead, holding you even closer to him, “no, we should be lovers instead. ever since we first met, there’s been no other girl but you. and i knew i had to admit my feelings for you before the start of the new year, just so we can spend it together.”
happiness was felt coursing through your veins, yet instead of conveying it with words, you chose to lean up against rin and press another kiss against his lips. and when you felt his smile, you knew that the feelings were mutual-
taking comfort in knowing that your supposed unrequited love had been requited this entire time.
end notes: they’re both idiots in love, your honor 🥹

SysNotes devlog 1
Hiya! We're a web developer by trade and we wanted to build ourselves a web-app to manage our system and to get to know each other better. We thought it would be fun to make a sort of a devlog on this blog to show off the development! The working title of this project is SysNotes (but better ideas are welcome!)
What SysNotes is✅:
A place to store profiles of all of our parts
A tool to figure out who is in front
A way to explore our inner world
A private chat similar to PluralKit
A way to combine info about our system with info about our OCs etc as an all-encompassing "brain-world" management system
A personal and tailor-made tool made for our needs
What SysNotes is not❌:
A fronting tracker (we see no need for it in our system)
A social media where users can interact (but we're open to make it so if people are interested)
A public platform that can be used by others (we don't have much experience actually hosting web-apps, but will consider it if there is enough interest!)
An offline app
So if this sounds interesting to you, you can find the first devlog below the cut (it's a long one!):
(I have used word highlighting and emojis as it helps me read large chunks of text, I hope it's alright with y'all!)
Tech stack & setup (feel free to skip if you don't care!)
The project is set up using:
Database: MySQL 8.4.3
Language: PHP 8.3
Framework: Laravel 10 with Breeze (authentication and user accounts) and Livewire 3 (front end integration)
Styling: Tailwind v4
I tried to set up Laragon to easily run the backend, but I ran into issues so I'm just running "php artisan serve" for now and using Laragon to run the DB. Also I'm compiling styles in real time with "npm run dev". Speaking of the DB, I just migrated the default auth tables for now. I will be making app-related DB tables in the next devlog. The awesome thing about Laravel is its Breeze starter kit, which gives you fully functioning authentication and basic account management out of the box, as well as optional Livewire to integrate server-side processing into HTML in the sexiest way. This means that I could get all the boring stuff out of the way with one terminal command. Win!
Styling and layout (for the UI nerds - you can skip this too!)
I changed the default accent color from purple to orange (personal preference) and used an emoji as a placeholder for the logo. I actually kinda like the emoji AS a logo so I might keep it.
Laravel Breeze came with a basic dashboard page, which I expanded with a few containers for the different sections of the page. I made use of the components that come with Breeze to reuse code for buttons etc throughout the code, and made new components as the need arose. Man, I love clean code 😌
I liked the dotted default Laravel page background, so I added it to the dashboard to create the look of a bullet journal. I like the journal-type visuals for this project as it goes with the theme of a notebook/file. I found the code for it here.
I also added some placeholder menu items for the pages that I would like to have in the app - Profile, (Inner) World, Front Decider, and Chat.
i ran into an issue dynamically building Tailwind classes such as class="bg-{{$activeStatus['color']}}-400" - turns out dynamically-created classes aren't supported, even if they're constructed in the component rather than the blade file. You learn something new every day huh…
Also, coming from Tailwind v3, "ps-*" and "pe-*" were confusing to get used to since my muscle memory is "pl-*" and "pr-*" 😂
Feature 1: Profiles page - proof of concept
This is a page where each alter's profiles will be displayed. You can switch between the profiles by clicking on each person's name. The current profile is highlighted in the list using a pale orange colour.
The logic for the profiles functionality uses a Livewire component called Profiles, which loads profile data and passes it into the blade view to be displayed. It also handles logic such as switching between the profiles and formatting data. Currently, the data is hardcoded into the component using an associative array, but I will be converting it to use the database in the next devlog.
New profile (TBC)
You will be able to create new profiles on the same page (this is yet to be implemented). My vision is that the New Alter form will unfold under the button, and fold back up again once the form has been submitted.
Alter name, pronouns, status
The most interesting component here is the status, which is currently set to a hardcoded list of "active", "dormant", and "unknown". However, I envision this to be a customisable list where I can add new statuses to the list from a settings menu (yet to be implemented).
Alter image
I wanted the folder that contained alter images and other assets to be outside of my Laravel project, in the Pictures folder of my operating system. I wanted to do this so that I can back up the assets folder whenever I back up my Pictures folder lol (not for adding/deleting the files - this all happens through the app to maintain data integrity!). However, I learned that Laravel does not support that and it will not be able to see my files because they are external. I found a workaround by using symbolic links (symlinks) 🔗. Basically, they allow to have one folder of identical contents in more than one place. I ran "mklink /D [external path] [internal path]" to create the symlink between my Pictures folder and Laravel's internal assets folder, so that any files that I add to my Pictures folder automatically copy over to Laravel's folder. I changed a couple lines in filesystems.php to point to the symlinked folder:
And I was also getting a "404 file not found" error - I think the issue was because the port wasn't originally specified. I changed the base app URL to the localhost IP address in .env:
…And after all this messing around, it works!
(My Pictures folder)
(My Laravel storage)
(And here is Alice's photo displayed - dw I DO know Ibuki's actual name)
Alter description and history
The description and history fields support HTML, so I can format these fields however I like, and add custom features like tables and bullet point lists.
This is done by using blade's HTML preservation tags "{!! !!}" as opposed to the plain text tags "{{ }}".
(Here I define Alice's description contents)
(And here I insert them into the template)
Traits, likes, dislikes, front triggers
These are saved as separate lists and rendered as fun badges. These will be used in the Front Decider (anyone has a better name for it?? 🤔) tool to help me identify which alter "I" am as it's a big struggle for us. Front Decider will work similar to FlowCharty.
What next?
There's lots more things I want to do with SysNotes! But I will take it one step at a time - here is the plan for the next devlog:
Setting up database tables for the profile data
Adding the "New Profile" form so I can create alters from within the app
Adding ability to edit each field on the profile
I tried my best to explain my work process in a way that wold somewhat make sense to non-coders - if you have any feedback for the future format of these devlogs, let me know!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Disclaimers:
I have not used AI in the making of this app and I do NOT support the Vibe Coding mind virus that is currently on the loose. Programming is a form of art, and I will defend manual coding until the day I die.
Any alter data found in the screenshots is dummy data that does not represent our actual system.
I will not be making the code publicly available until it is a bit more fleshed out, this so far is just a trial for a concept I had bouncing around my head over the weekend.
We are SYSCOURSE NEUTRAL! Please don't start fights under this post
#sysnotes devlog#plurality#plural system#did#osdd#programming#whoever is fronting is typing like a millenial i am so sorry#also when i say “i” its because i'm not sure who fronted this entire time!#our syskid came up with the idea but i can't feel them so who knows who actually coded it#this is why we need the front decider tool lol
On some real shit though, I want to put this out there:
Thank you so, so much for all of your love and support that you’ve given me and all that I’ve been able to give back to so many of you in return these last few days. I should have known once that I started seeing more Luigi memes and reels of all sorts of my social media a few weeks ago, it was a sign of something. I’m wholly invested in this case, for a multitude of reasons, across different approaches and, though I’ve said this so many times, it’s something about his story that reels me in like no other. I don’t know what the unforeseeable future will exactly hold this year, but my only wish that it brings Luigi closer to freedom and vindication, and the confirmation that he is loved and supported by many.
I’m kind of even surprised that I’d ever go out this far and make a dedicated blog on Tumblr, as I’ve had the app for many years but never actually attempted to create a functional space. I know it’s not about the numbers, but to reach a 100+ followers on both blogs and have active camaraderie on here? It’s crazy. Who knew that it wouldn’t be in honor of one of my fav artists, but some nice-looking, tall, curly-haired Italian frat boy that I wish I had a chance with. The odds, right?
On italianbabydaddy, I stated, word for word, that the purpose of the blog was a safe space for me to let the imagination run wild through posting my simp-fueled dreams and horny thoughts, and I guess now I’ve made that my trademark on here—and a lot of people are rallying behind me on that one. Thank you for engaging with me, interacting with me, talking to me about lore, fawning over the most precious visions/dreams/wishes you have about Luigi, and enjoying my little imagines and ideas that go on in my mind. But also, thank you for being vulnerable and comfortable enough to join me, along with many others, on a platform like this to stand in solidarity and show your support for him, too.
I am honored that some of you have reached out to me and said how my blog makes your day, teaches you something entirely new, or that my writing is entertaining—because that last part, along with everything, means a lot. I’m hoping maybe by joining this community, I’ll learn to develop a better relationship with self-reflecting on my skills of writing and stop putting myself so far down that I lose my love for it. I’m nowhere near a defense attorney or Luigi Mangione historian, but one of my main goals of this blog (beside all the simping) is to spread awareness, provide evidence, and bring knowledge about his story in all honesty. There’s a lot of stories about him going around that are lacking in truthfulness and sincerity right now, and it’s so important that we find spaces and talk about things in the correct way. We have to continue to say his name and keep talking.
I really planned for this post to just be a paragraph or two, but if you made it this far, then I really love you and appreciate you, beyond words that I possibly could ever come up with. Thank you thank you thank you 🥺
CONFIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM
DRC, Black Ops Command, Covert Acquisition Unit
To: Director [REDACTED]
From: Administrator [REDACTED], Covert Acquisition Unit
Date: [REDACTED]
Subject: Surrogate Recruitment via Social Media Application
Executive Summary
This memorandum summarizes the initial pilot testing of "Broodr," a mobile dating application developed by the DRC Covert Acquisition Unit as an identification and capture tool of viable surrogate candidates within the Los Angeles metropolitan region.
The Broodr pilot program aims to:
Test effectiveness in luring suitable surrogate candidates aged 18-25.
Assess the app’s capability to profile and locate high-fertility individuals discretely.
Evaluate the overall success rate of transitioning online interactions into physical capture operations.
Operational Procedure
Broodr was launched covertly through standard digital app distribution channels. It is marketed as a casual social/dating application targeted at young, romantically single men. Four other apps in the market were also disrupted to reduce competition and increase public awareness. The application utilizes advanced profile analytics to identify users displaying surrogate-compatible traits based on fertility indicators such as age, athletic status, height, genetic background, and health metrics.
Once identified, candidates receive targeted messaging from AI bots and doctored profiles using altered photos of athletes and models designed to entice them to designated physical meeting locations. These meeting spots are strategically placed within zones easily secured by DRC rapid response capture teams.
Initial Test Results
Since the pilot launch [REDACTED] weeks ago, Broodr has attracted over [REDACTED] registered users within the target demographic.
[REDACTED]% of identified high-value targets initiated interactions leading to physical meetings.
Capture success rate currently stands at [REDACTED]%, exceeding initial operational goals.
Captured surrogates demonstrate above-average fertility rates, with an average fetal load of 12-16 embryos upon initial insemination.
Key Incident
On [REDACTED], Broodr successfully identified, seduced, and facilitated the capture of a high-profile fitness celebrity at our DRC detainment site in [REDACTED], Beverly Hills.
Mr. [REDACTED], a 23-year-old fitness influencer known for his muscular physique, extensive social following, and endorsements of health products, was identified as a prime surrogacy candidate due to exceptional fertility markers (5'11", 174 lbs pre-pregnancy, optimal athletic conditioning).
Four real profiles and 28 tailored AI-generated profiles initially contacted him, depicting attractive, athletic personas that closely matched his profile's interests. This sophisticated digital interaction rapidly evolved into sexually graphic exchanges, successfully convincing him to attend what he believed to be a home address for a physical engagement.
“Hey, handsome ;) Hott as fuck! A stud like you promising an unforgettable night got me seriously curious. What are you into? I would love to work out all your kinks, physical and sexy!” - Copy of Chat Log
Upon arrival at the designated location, a rapid response team swiftly and discreetly apprehended Mr. [REDACTED]. Upon completion of on-site insemination, secured transport protocols were immediately enacted, moving Mr. [REDACTED] to the nearby Paternity Compound 141, best equipped for his subsequent gestation, birth, and expiration. Mr. [REDACTED] was assigned the surrogate ID S-141-548-P (which will be used henceforth to identify the surrogate).
Post evaluations confirmed highly successful insemination, resulting in an exceptionally high fetal load of sexdecuplets (16 embryos), and in under 33 days, S-141-548-P's weight jumped to 534 lbs (+360 lbs) with an abdominal circumference of 96 inches (+64 inches), rendering the surrogate wholly bedridden and dependent on continuous medical supervision. Despite his extreme size and rapidly declining mobility, regular medical evaluations confirmed that S-141-548-P's health remained within acceptable operational parameters.
"I can barely process what's happened—my body’s unrecognizable. I used to flex these abs for millions online, and now they're buried beneath a mound of babies. I'm so enormous and heavy that breathing feels like a workout! I never thought I'd feel this helpless—or this big." - S-141-548-P, Gestation Day 21
Labor commenced on day 33 of gestation, and over 22 hours, all 16 fetuses were successfully delivered. Upon completion of delivery, vital signs deteriorated rapidly, culminating in S-141-548-P’s expiration approximately [REDACTED] minutes after the last fetus was expelled. Post-mortem assessments indicated complete [REDACTED] shutdown, extensive [REDACTED] to the [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] system.
"I can't stop it! They’re coming! Everything's ripping apart, and every contraction feels like my belly's splitting open. Oh God—I can’t move, I can't breathe, but my body... I'm just so... fat…" - S-141-548-P, Gestation Day 33
Of particular note is that S-141-548-P was well known on social media channels for exemplifying his abdominal muscles, mainly using the moniker “All Core, No Compromise.” The primary cause of expiration was confirmed to be the macroscopic tearing and rupture of all abdominal muscles, a typical result for surrogates subjected to such high fetal loads.
Recommendations
The capture and subsequent pregnancy of such a notable public figure not only significantly boosted internal operational morale but also underscored the strategic efficacy of Broodr as an unprecedented method of securing high-value surrogate candidates. This incident has provided robust proof-of-concept evidence, strongly supporting further investment and nationwide deployment of the Broodr initiative.
Based on the Los Angeles pilot:
Expand Broodr's implementation to additional high-density urban areas (e.g., New York City, [REDACTED], San Francisco).
Increase application analytics capabilities to enhance fertility trait profiling.
Implement additional security protocols to ensure continued operational secrecy.
Conclusion
The pilot deployment of Broodr in the Los Angeles metro area confirms the application's high efficacy as a discreet surrogate recruitment and capture tool. Expansion into additional metropolitan zones is recommended to bolster surrogate conscription efforts further nationwide.
10 secret tips that transformed my private school journey ♡
the bathroom rule always scout out the least-used bathrooms in your first week, but don't just look for any quiet bathroom - look for one that's strategically located between your most stressful classes. trust me on this - i found my favorite quiet bathroom on the third floor of the science building, and it became my secret sanctuary for quick meditation breaks, makeup touch-ups, or just moments of peace between classes. the lighting there was immaculate for those confidence-boosting mirror talks, and it was far enough from the main hallways that you could actually hear yourself think. i even started keeping a small essential oil roller in my bag to make these mini-breaks feel more spa-like. this space became my personal reset button during hectic days, especially during exam seasons or when social dynamics felt overwhelming.
teacher connection hack bring a small notebook specifically for writing down personal details teachers mention (their favorite books, coffee preferences, hobbies, their children's names, or even their pets). this isn't about being a teacher's pet - it's about building genuine human connections. i started bringing my teacher's favorite starbucks drink on presentation days, remembering to ask about their weekend plans they mentioned, or sharing articles related to their interests. not only did it make their day, but it also showed i paid attention to details. these small gestures created authentic relationships that made a huge difference during finals week, college recommendation season, and even when i needed extensions during tough times. remember, teachers are people first, and when they see you acknowledging their humanity, they're more likely to understand yours.
social currency secret keep a small emergency kit with hair ties, bobby pins, bandaids, mints, tampons/pads, tide-to-go pens, pain relievers (if allowed), small sewing kit, clear nail polish for tights runs, double-sided tape, and even a phone charger in your locker. nothing creates instant friendships like being the person everyone knows they can count on for emergency supplies. i actually met my best friend because i had a spare hair tie when she desperately needed one before her presentation, and that simple moment turned into a three-hour conversation after school. this kit isn't just about having supplies - it's about being the person who thinks ahead and cares enough to help others. i started keeping track of what people borrowed most often and would stock up accordingly. it's like having your own little convenience store of kindness.
the popularity paradox here's something no one tells you - in private schools, being overly eager to be popular actually makes you less popular. the social hierarchy in private schools is often more subtle and complex than in public schools. i learned to focus on being genuinely interested in others instead of trying to fit in, asking thoughtful questions about their interests, and remembering small details about their lives. surprisingly, the moment i stopped trying to be part of the "it" crowd was when people started naturally gravitating towards me. i focused on developing my own interests and passions, which made me more interesting to others. the key is to be confidently authentic rather than strategically social. this approach not only helped me build real friendships but also protected me from the exhausting game of trying to maintain a carefully crafted social image.
the uniform advantage even with strict uniform rules, there are always creative ways to stand out while staying within the guidelines. i invested in high-quality accessories that complied with dress code but made my uniform look more polished - pearl earrings, delicate necklaces, classic watches, and subtle hair accessories. these small details helped me feel more put together and confident. but it's not just about the accessories - it's about how you wear the uniform itself. i learned that having my shirts professionally pressed, skirts properly hemmed, and shoes well-maintained made a huge difference in how put-together i looked. i also kept a small steamer in my locker for emergency touch-ups. this attention to detail showed respect for the school's traditions while allowing my personal style to shine through in acceptable ways.
the lunch table strategy don't commit to one lunch table for at least two weeks, and be strategic about your rotation schedule. i created a subtle system where i would sit with different groups each day, making mental notes about the dynamics, interests, and personalities at each table. i rotated between different groups, which helped me understand the social dynamics better and prevented me from being boxed into one clique too early. pay attention to how each group interacts - some tables are for studying, others for gossip, and some for genuine conversations. i kept a small note in my phone about each group's interests so i could contribute meaningfully to conversations. this strategy gave me the freedom to form genuine connections across different social circles and ultimately helped me choose where i truly felt comfortable. by the third week, i had a clear understanding of where i naturally fit in, rather than where i thought i should be.
the academic alliance create study guides and share them with classmates before they ask, but make it systematic and sustainable. i started a google drive folder with my notes and study guides, organized by subject and topic, with clear summaries and practice questions. it naturally evolved into a collaborative study group where everyone contributed their strengths. i became known as someone who not only shared resources but also helped others understand how to create their own study materials. this approach created a reciprocal learning environment where everyone felt comfortable asking for and offering help. i even created templates for different types of assignments that we could all use, which saved everyone time and helped maintain consistent quality in our work.
the extracurricular edge join at least one unexpected club that's not typically "popular," but don't just join - become actively involved in ways that showcase your unique talents. i joined the astronomy club despite it being small, and instead of just attending meetings, i started organizing stargazing events and creating instagram-worthy posts about our activities. this not only helped grow the club but also showed others that you can make any activity exciting if you're passionate about it. the unexpected benefit was meeting people who shared my genuine interests rather than just social aspirations. these authentic connections often lead to the most meaningful friendships and impressive college application stories.
the social media strategy create a finsta (private instagram) specifically for close school friends, but treat it as a carefully curated space rather than just another social media account. wait at least a month before adding anyone - this gives you time to understand the social dynamics and ensure you're connecting with the right people. i used my finsta to share study tips, funny school moments, and support for others' achievements. it became a safe space for sharing real moments with trusted friends, away from the pressure of maintaining a perfect image on main accounts. i also used it to organize study groups and share helpful resources, making it both social and practical.
the legacy link learn about your school's history and traditions from older students, but go beyond just knowing the basics. i spent time talking to seniors, alumni, and even teachers about the school's evolution over the years. understanding why certain traditions started, knowing the stories behind school legends, and learning about notable alumni helped me feel more connected to the school community. i created a digital notebook of these stories, which became a valuable resource for other new students. this knowledge made me feel like part of something bigger than just my current school year and helped me appreciate the school's culture on a deeper level.
personal advice from my heart to yours:
sweetness, i want you to know that the first few months at a new private school can feel like you're learning a new language - everyone seems to know the words and customs except you. i remember feeling so out of place during my first semester, constantly second-guessing myself and wondering if i was "doing it right." that feeling of being an outsider would hit me hardest during school traditions or inside jokes that everyone else seemed to understand instinctively. i spent countless nights journaling about feeling like i was watching my school life through a window, wondering when i would finally feel like i belonged. but here's what i learned: that feeling of being an outsider is actually your superpower. you have fresh eyes to see things differently, and that perspective is valuable. you notice things that others have become blind to, and you bring new energy to old traditions. your unique viewpoint can actually help breathe new life into established social circles and activities.
the most important thing i wish someone had told me is that it's okay to take your time finding your place. private schools often have students who've been together since kindergarten, and it can feel impossible to break into those established circles. but here's the truth - while everyone else is trying to maintain their image and social position, you have the freedom to be authentically yourself from day one. you don't have to carry the weight of years of expectations or predetermined roles. focus on building genuine connections rather than strategic ones. keep your grades up, but don't let academic pressure steal your joy. document your journey - take photos, keep a journal, save little mementos. these will become precious reminders of your growth. remember that every single person who seems perfectly adjusted now once stood exactly where you are, feeling exactly what you're feeling. and most importantly, remember that the version of you that walks into that school on day one isn't the same version that will emerge at the end of the year - and that's exactly how it should be. you're not just adapting to a new school; you're growing into a newer, stronger version of yourself. embrace this transformation with open arms.
sending you the warmest hugs and all my support! feel free to message me anytime for more specific advice or just to chat about your journey 🤍
mindy x
Have you written about kicking your phone addiction? I'm half way there but I'm interested in hearing other people's experience.
i have! but as always it's a long, meandering post of self-reflection and egregious declaration that basically boils down to: remove your phone's positive reinforcement and replace it with different positive reinforcement. (the post is more about social media than phone usage, but there's a lot of overlap.)
relevant excerpt:
the thing about getting away from social media is that it’s slow. i don’t think you can really go cold turkey. when i got home from the residency, i went on a long hiatus and had all these strict rules for myself about when i was allowed to look at my phone and when i wasn’t, but that didn’t really work for me. but i did delete all the social media apps from my phone, and on my computer i logged out of all of them and deleted my saved passwords, so if i wanted to check them, i had to go to that extra step of logging in and even typing in my password. and that doesn’t seem like a lot, but when you’re checking social media out of habit, muscle memory, something to attend to that might give you a brief blip of dopamine, having to type your password is just one step too far. the brief pleasure i would get from checking my notifications was less than the hassle of logging in. and that’s what it all comes down to: feeling good. in the moment, it feels good to check a social media app, to see that somebody has interacted with your content or maybe with you directly. it’s that tiny subconscious exclamation point, the feeling we get when somebody politely smiles or waves at us, when a dog comes up to us wagging his tail, when a well-meaning stranger compliments your outfit. that’s the social part of social media. but that’s also the part that keeps us cycling through our apps out of habit and boredom. so you have to take away that stimulus from yourself, and you have to create positive stimuli elsewhere. to take away the positive stimulus of social media, you have to stop posting content on it. content is the mind killer. when you tweet something, your impulse might be to check that someone has interacted with it. but if you step away from the great conversation of social media, nobody speaks back to you, and you develop more patience for the longer-term good feelings of reading a book.
one year update to this post:
i intended to share a screencap of my average daily phone use, which is around ~30 minutes, but uh. i don't remember where i put my phone.
my mentality has continued to be "replace glowing screens with sensory/tactile satisfaction" and that's worked really well for me. so well that i wrote a newsletter about it last month.
thinking about an actors AU with our wonderland where every arc is a season
I like to think that some stuff is made up only for the show, but some stuff carries over to real life and the actor’s lives (I want to make an animatic for this btw)
genzou and orlam pretending to beef constantly for 4 fucking seasons yet getting drinks together after shoots
I like to think during interviews they joke about how much they bicker with each other off set and make light-hearted jabs towards each other
I think Iggy would be overwhelmed with how many fans he has and it always jumpscares him at conventions
I also like the idea of gidget being nonbinary being something that kinda develops over time. It wasn’t in the original plot, but the directors thought that gidget coming out as nonbinary irl could be a very good plot point, and fit with their overall character (think elliot page’s character in umbrella academy)
genzou 100% does voice-over in cartoons as well, so a lot of the outtakes are him flubbing up his lines and doing a dumbass voice of one of the characters he does mid-way and making everyone cackle (Bucks ALSO does cartoon voiceover and sometimes will chime in with the character’s she voices off-camera)
orlam 100% one of those actors that also gets insane brand deals and also runs a company so ofc he’s gonna shamelessly self promote. in every interview. EVERY. INTERVIEW.
bucks and gidget are 100% on everyone’s lists of “actors you want to meet irl” bc of how cool their interactions with fans are when they’re spotted on the street. They love taking pictures with fans too :3 Bucks even autographed somebody’s ACTUAL axe
bucks and hunar (actors) actually started dating around Arc 2, they got married around when Arc 5 started airing. The fans went NUTS about this btw. The actor who plays Saydie tho is not their daughter but ON GOD TRUST they treat her as if she was
Orlam 100% got the most social media followers. Gidget is a close second and they have a friendly competition on who can beat the other out follower-wise
Orlam being as flirtatious as bro was to Cecil was not in the script, or at least to the degree that it was in the game. That was all Orlam (and Cecil strangely didn’t mind it, so it was kept in)
And yes, all three of the LI’s actors have commented “It’s not hard to pretend to be attracted to Iggy. Trust me. Sometimes I wonder if I’m actually pretending at all.”
I like to think they all reside in very nice houses bc of the money they make (especially Orlam. He’s got a multimillion dollar mansion with enough room he doesn’t know what to do with surrounded by Extremely Attractive House Staff that he personally hired all himself), but I like to think Genzou lives in like. a small house. like something you’d be like “dude you’re an ACTOR you can do better” but he insists bc he doesn’t need some fancy schmancy ass building to fix up these bikes he sells to charity, all he needs is a working garage and the bare necessities. Bro has the capacity to go out and dine on the finest meals whenever he wants but instead he orders Taco Bell through the app and signs an autograph for the delivery guy
I think about this AU so much it’s insane
ok I love this???
this is so much fun I weep
I don't even know what to say because all the ideas and scenarios are so cute and silly and fit with them so well
thank you for filling my head with this idea because it's probably going to fill me with many a thought as well 🤣 I had never thought of this type of scenario before but it would be so interesting! I feel like there's so many different things you could do with it and directions you could go quite different from the games. imagining them as actors is sending me a bit
The taco bell in particular made me guffaw kgjgjhj
