Head and Shoulders Chart Pattern in Stock Trading
Tumblr media
The Head and Shoulders pattern is a chart formation that often signals a reversal in the trend of a financial asset like stocks, commodities, or currencies. Traders use this pattern to spot when a market is about to shift from an upward trend to a downward trend (or vice versa), making it an essential tool for both beginners and experienced investors. This pattern has three peaks with the centre peak shaped like a ‘head’ supported by the two ‘shoulders’ or smaller peaks on either side which gives the pattern its name.

Wanted to take a crack at some Disco Elysium-style portraits and thought I'd pay homage to one of my favorite games, OFF.
Thought process for each under the cut:
Batter - Stark, graphic style to reflect his dogmatic views. More some vague ideal than a human being. His bat serves as a barrier between us, cuts off his head, and is a burden upon his shoulders. He is in profile because he is defined by movement; behind him is only a white void. Pale cyan because it complements red and white, and isn't used for any zone in the game. Faces to the left, aligned with the Puppeteer
Judge - Friendly, trusting body language (back to you). Faint halo since he can be thought of as Zone 0's guardian. He has his zone's colors. Batter casts a shadow over him with a faint cyan light, foreshadowing the end of the game (the bat crossing the Judge's neck). Faces left, aligned with the Puppeteer (also foreshadowing).
Zacharie - Purposefully video-game-y with strange perspective and coloring closest to the game. Pixel edges, the top edge of the dialogue box. He is distant and placing a small barrier between him and the viewer with his arms. Looking up, at his mall location. Centered, neither aligned nor against the Batter or Puppeteer.
Sugar - As a secret boss, it felt apt to keep her in shadow, only catching some of the doorway's light. Rough and spattery to hint at her sugar use, similar to how the drunks are drawn in Disco Elysium. A more sickly yellow to help remove her from Judge and move her a little closer to Enoch (again, sugar). A foe, facing right.
Dedan - Profile, because like Batter he is defined by action. Not afraid to get his hands dirty, facing the meat waterfall (which is red like the boss background). Rougher textures. Painted in the colors of his zone. The clock numbers are a reference to his attacks and a halo for his guardian status. A foe, facing right (you get the idea).
Valerie - Valerie is dead, hence the big X, the rictus-like facial expression, skull-like head, and large eyes clouded with Japhet's color. His composition is the inversion of Judge's. His body is vague; this is not about him. The wings, of course. I found the use of red in Disco Elysium's corpse portraits very striking, so I wanted to do that here. Japhet, acting inside Valerie's body, is wrathful, and this is expressed in the tense body language. You first encounter him in the library, so he gets blue.
Japhet - Honestly, most of this comp was just "how do I get Japhet in frame?" I wanted him to feel massive. He gains the color of his zone from the reflected light from the ground. The music notation is a reference to his attacks. One of these forms his halo.
Enoch - Like Japhet, I wanted Enoch to feel big but also wanted his face in view; these are portraits after all. His attacks are drama terms, so he gets a spotlight. This, combined with the smoke, creates his guardian halo. With the intense orange, I wanted to evoke both his zone colors and its incinerators. The smoke and sooty texture also allude to this. Besides ash, the particles can resemble sugar. I liked the idea of him being so large that much of him is in shadow. Enoch is very menacing (but also charismatic), and I hope I captured that.
Queen - The most complicated. Mortis Ghost drew her with a skull face once, which stuck with me. The moth is from her chapter's title card, it matches how we don't really see her face or eyes. Her hair is meant to evoke the battle screen background; this was clearer when the original comp was more zoomed out (I had matched the silhouette). Her color is black because of her chapter's color scheme, chess (her attacks, she is also acting second), and the opposite of Batter's primary color. There are hints of the zone colors in her hair as she grants all zones her power. Her halo is the sun Hugo drew her as; she is, after all, his god. The cold front light from Batter returns.
Hugo - The most human of them all. The pattern from his room makes his halo and evokes a crosshair. He is centered; he is not a combatant. He is afraid, small, the meat is a small barrier between him and the Batter. The lighting gives him a bit of a skull-like look, his flesh tones are sickly.
Puppeteer - The Puppeteer is a character, narratively. The game needs your participation and acknowledges this. I thought an older computer would feel right, besides allowing for a better monitor reflection. This one's what it says on the tin.
Bad Batter - He now faces right! Oh no! It's just Batter but worse. Violent spatter. If you look back at Batter you might see there is already the suggestion of teeth along his jaw.

So one of the aus on the discord is an inverse of the devil Maxim au and I wanted to write something for it. So I present: angel VR-LA captured and contained by a morally grey Maxim for study. Modern with magic?
Maxim stared through the barrier at the angel, who did not bother to look back with his visible set of eyes, merely lifting a silver tinted wing up to hide even the side of his face from Maxim. The angel was gorgeous in its mostly human form though, from what Maxim had noted and knew from art. Thin and tall, although his general lankiness felt unnatural, golden eyes which would dim or brighten, but the blacks of which never changed in size, silver hair that went down past shoulders but whether curly or straight or just wavy was unclear with how it moved.
His wings were Maxim's point of study for the moment though. A white that ended in a metallic silver. A slow transition which ended in all silver at the very bottom of his wings. Maxim pulled out his camera, an older one as he had already discovered electronic ones struggled to capture anything even slightly angelic. He had yet to test one of these though, one without any electronic parts. He set it up before the barrier, and turned it on.
He'd have to develop the photo once it was done, but the angel's general stillness would at least result in a decent photograph if it worked at all. As soon as it took the photograph, Maxim checked it. Even if undeveloped, he should still document every stage to see if it had an effect.
"...what an interesting pattern." Maxim muttered to himself, the angel looking back over at him. Perhaps this wouldn't be able to be developed at all, given it certainly shouldn't have a pattern at all, but it was worth a shot. "Well, it seems your stay will be longer than expected. I'll need to sketch you instead." Maxim said, standing up and starting to clean up his equipment to switch them for art supplies. His head ached terribly.
"...bastard." The angel hissed, feathers flaring up like an angry bird trying to look bigger.
"I'm well aware of what I am, no need to remark upon it." Maxim said flatly. "If you won't answer questions, I'll take what I can get."

Cassandra, cuddles
it only took me three years to write this one, oops. under read-more for length, even though it's less than 700 words.
-----
Dark, wavy strands splayed out around her head like a fan, spread across the pillow haphazardly, evidence of how much tossing and turning Cassandra had been doing. Sleeping alone was difficult for her, these days. If not for your insistence, she wouldn’t have even tried, much preferring bothering you while you worked to resting in an empty bed. But you knew that you wouldn’t be able to finish your duties if she stayed. Something about your girlfriend is simply far, far too distracting.
You feel it now, that pull towards her, as you linger in the doorway of her chambers. Now that your chores were finally complete (only a couple hours late, due to another servant’s morning mistakes), you are free to join your lover under the sheets. But your feet feel glued to the floor. Gazing at Cassandra rarely fails to take your breath away. For once, it is not just admiration of her beauty that captivates you, rather it is also a smitten sense of adoration at how cute she looks.
After all, one of her arms clutches a bundle of fabric close to her chest, which you immediately recognized as your favorite sweater. Sometimes you can scarcely believe how deeply Cassandra’s love for you runs. When your relationship had first started, you didn’t think it would last, despite your raging crush on the vampiric woman. To your amazement, it gradually became clear that she was equally as head-over-heels for you as you are for her. In moments like this, her love and vulnerability clear as day, you always stop to appreciate your blessings.
“Mmmm, I can smell you, darling,” Cassandra purrs, stirring you from your thoughts. One cat-like eye peeks open, almost glowing, watching you as a smirk slowly slides onto her lips. “Kept me waiting, didn’t you?... Why don’t you come a little closer, let me hold you, and show you just how much I missed your touch.” Still half asleep as she was, Cassandra had no qualms with being completely open about her affection. There isn’t even a single hint of teasing to her words- merely an abundance of love.
“Of course, my lady,” you reply, finally shutting the door behind you and stepping inside properly. To outsiders, your usage of Cassandra’s title might seem strange, considering the nature of your relationship. But they don’t realize how differently you say it. Other servants address her as such to reference her power over them (she is their lady, their watcher, their master), and yet your tone implies the inverse as well, the fact that Cassandra’s heart is yours, much to both her delight and your own.
Such is clear in the way she gently sets aside your sweater (knowing you would be upset if it was sullied), shifting herself to make more room for you, making herself smaller than she would for any other soul. Within moments you have curled up eagerly against her, face tucked where her neck meets shoulder. Immediately she releases a soft hum, almost a purr, and places a kiss to the top of your head. Both her hands slip under the hem of your shirt, sliding to rest flush against your back. Despite the chill of her skin, you relish the touch, especially when she begins to rub sleepy circles against the flesh.
“So good to me, little pet, so warm,” Cassandra murmurs, barely audible with the way her face presses into your hair, inhaling deeply. You can’t help but chuckle at that, at the way her tiredness twists her words. How could someone so imposing also be so adorable? Before you could even voice your feelings, before you could speak of how good she is to you in turn, you hear the telltale shift in her breathing pattern, and a grin blossoms across your face.
Of course it had only taken a minute of cuddling for her to fall back asleep.

weretangle behind-the-scenes design progress
i love <3 rambling about my design choices and i actually have a bunch of weretangle concept sketches to share and go off about
i started pretty early on with the ‘sonic = nightmare wereform, tangle = titan wereform’ idea - picked titan because it was one of the few minions without stretchy abilities, and i thought it fit well for tangle’s design and to contrast how she usually is, and then i did up some initial sketches leading to this one:
Tumblr media
i didn’t push her proportions very far with this one, mainly just the exaggerated forearms and a liittle bit of extra fur; not nearly werecreature enough i gave her tusks as an inversion of fangs, considering tangle’s wereform is sort of an inversion of sonic’s and this would be an easy way to contrast them to a viewer; i also added some pinkish markings as a way to introduce a third color, like werehog gets an extra fur color in white, and to echo dark gaia minions having their glowy spots. the shoes are mostly her regular shoes with randomly different lacing pattern, as well as glowy aggressively pink soles with spikes mimicking titan feet, sorta. they’re a different shape.
from here, i tried pushing a little more and got these:
Tumblr media
and here i go more for the ‘towering werelemur not used to her size yet’ angle, as well as still using a spiral arm pattern - which i struggle to draw consistently in any of the sketches that use it lol
the bottom right sketch is the first i did on this page; the shoe design is about the same as the first concept with regular laces, but the whole body is pretty different, using a lot more bulk. i use a consistent ‘wavy/fiery’ sort of shape for fur tufts, going off the two tall firelike spike-things titans have, using it for her tail also - i gave this up after this sketch because it would be hard to translate into a shape you’re supposed to see in 3d from multiple angles, such as her tail or hair, while also retaining a consistent ‘fiery’ shape. some of the added fur i liked and kept, others (like the tufts right behind her head up from the body) i toned down, and some (like the shoulder spike tuft) i removed entirely. she also had a marking between her eyes - also meant to echo dark gaia minion glowy markings - which didn’t stick around past this sketch, since it looked too ‘intricate’ - it would stand out against werehog sonic and call into question why he doesn’t have any glowy bits, and my main idea going into this design was ‘a design that can appear besides werehog sonic and seem like it’s from official media’, otherwise i’d just redesign werehog sonic a bit
the little chibi werelemur tangle as size reference to werehog sonic is sort of its own design; a little more ‘boxy’ or less ‘flowy’ than the other, slightly shorter arms that don’t drag on the floor, regular-shaped fur tufts, and a different hairstyle to be extra fluffy-looking. it’s also hard to see with how light the sketch lines are, but she’s still got her chest fur, just larger. this one also goes back to the hands being white instead of greyed.
the third sketch (supposed to be tangle sheepishly trying to tiptoe, but getting caught) blends these two together a bit, using mostly the 2nd sketch’s proportions, but a bit of ‘fiery’ fur like the 1st, and back to 2 tusks like the first concept above. the shoe design is still pretty tame, because shoes are hard !! i also still didnt know how i wanted the laces
and from here i sort of knew the angle i wanted to take with tangle’s wereform, so i did sketches within a similar vein:
Tumblr media
(bottom right, realizing she’s scary now; sketch above that, realizing someone saw her and is trying to seem less scary)
here i’ve narrowed down to a few traits that remain, while fine-tuning the rest: a fur ‘crest’ surrounding her head to act like the ‘jaw’ a titan has, and exaggerate her chest fur; her tail being thicker at the tip like a mace, but still having a normal fur tuft shape (& kinda looking like an artichoke lol); one tusk at each corner of her mouth instead of two; tufts of fur at either side of her head to resemble horns; and a settled bodytype/proportions, with little variation
since her tail doesn’t stretch, setting the length is important; it should be long enough to have range to use as a weapon, but not long enough to grapple/wrap also, the precise size of her head in relation to her body does a lot for conveying scale, and this varies between the different sketches here; i think i like where i landed with the final, so doing a bit of variation here was important to see how to get to what worked best. i also start messing with her arm pattern again, because i want it to be easy to recreate while drawing, and a spiral is not unless you can make clear rules and a pattern for it, or the limb is vague enough for it not to matter - for example, garurumon’s tail. you can also see i’ve given her lemurish hand pads, which isn’t a trait we’ve seen with sonic characters iirc but i have always maintained that tangle deserves it because it’s such a cool design choice AND helps give you an idea which way the hand is facing, and where the hand ends since you terminate it before the wrist! i think it wouldn’t be out of place, especially when werehog has more realistic hands and actual fingernails, when we never see sonic’s hands gloveless otherwise.
also, here’s the first sketch where i have clothes on her - because i can’t see a canonical weretangle design not using clothes, even if i consider them unnecessary for animal characters - and i still took it down to some makeshift shorts and extra chest fluff, because i’m not too fond of the ‘wearing ripped, pulled-chicken clothes’ look, or just putting oversized clothes on weretangle. and the first actually cool shoe concept!! which is basically the final shoe design i went with, just cooler-toned metal. i also really like the tall shoes look, because it gives a sense of being unwieldy or restricting movement - the general vibe to tangle being way larger and clunkier, which her shoes fit into, and also are further armored, so the shoes really fit better with the overall design than before
last note here, you can see the sketch with most color is messing around with an added tone between the light and dark, as sort of a ‘sooty’ effect or ‘gradient’ along the arms; i scrapped this shade because i’d already added an extra one with the darker grey for her palms and facial markings. (which is an interesting note, because this isn’t consistent in idw which greys are shared and which aren’t - at some points, her ears are the same darker grey as her eye markings; at others, her eye markings are noticeably darker than either other grey; and sometimes her ears are the same shade as her muzzle, and just the eye markings are darker. in my own art, since i draw her ears with lemur fur instead of bald, i generally color her ears the same as her grey fur markings)
aaand now back to the final design for comparison <3
Tumblr media
most traits are inherited from the concepts, such as the horn hair, single tusks, etc. so i’ll talk more about what’s new for this iteration!
there’s a specific layout to her chest fur tufts, and it’s sort of a ‘double v’, but one ‘v’ is inside the other and only has 3 tufts. they also curl around her neck and leave the shoulders exposed, which makes it easier to position them against each other. her arms have an entirely new marking, which is different along the arm, further accentuating the shift in proportions compared to a spiral pattern. it’s also way easier to draw without seeming inaccurate :) the upper arm has , if you look at it creatively, a ‘jaw’ shape - and the darker marking on her chest could be interpreted as a ‘tongue’ sticking up, maybe? it’s also better at clearly conveying which way the arm is rotated
the forearm then has a jagged ring pattern, like tangle’s tail, which also gives it a bit more of a ‘dangerous’ feeling. at first when i was coloring the design, only her palms were darker and the whole hand was white, but then i tried the darker grey on the fingers… and immediately it terminated the hand shape so well, and let her claws stand out without introducing a new color or making them dark plus, if you squint, it makes the fingers look like just another stripe! which is my fav part :] and then last, the face, which was also spur-of-the-moment that turned out well; i’d already been using a darker color around her eyes than her muzzle, and then tried a little curl around her muzzle and her forehead marking and !! it looks like a scar or something?? sweet!!
this has been my design rambling :3 if you’ve gotten down here, thank you for reading <3

Musicians' Uniforms in the Revolutionary War
Tumblr media
(Artwork by the legendary Don Troiani)
A favorite descriptor of mine states that British drummers and fifers of the Georgian era were "birds of very gay plumage throughout the whole of the 18th century," a phrase which has irrevocably rooted itself in my head whenever I think of these colorful lads. Often there is curiosity about the vibrant getup of these gents, simply because they blatantly don't fit in with the rest of their units—which happens to be precisely the point.
The reason behind these colorful coats is that musicians had to be the most stand-out members of their regiment: they functioned as the voice of the officers on the battlefield and therefore had to be easily locatable at any given time. Officers would communicate via their musicians in order to convey significant large-scale orders, such as to retreat or cease fire—orders you can imagine quick communication would be vital for—and in the fog of war it would have been difficult to pick a handful of musicians out of a sea of similarly-uniformed men-at-arms. Thus, the musicians wore the inverse colors of their regiments, with the regimental facing colors becoming the main color of the coat, and (in the case of the British army) the standard red coat color becoming the color of the facings. The fellow pictured above is a drummer from the 63rd Regiment of Foot, which was faced with "very dark green" according to the 1768 clothing warrant, and thus the green is the body color of his coat.
These uniforms were also elaborately ornamented with the regimental lace pattern, as you can see above, whereas on the coats of men-at-arms this lace was restricted to the buttonholes on the facings. The smallclothes would still generally be white or buff, matching whichever color smallclothes the men-at-arms wore, unless the regiment was faced in white or buff, in which case the smallclothes would be red so they wouldn’t be the same color as the coat. The regulations were quite specific, as you can tell, but it serves to emphasize the degree of importance the musician held in the 18th century army.
There is some debate as to whether musicians wore cocked hats or bearskins, like the drummer pictured above. Musicians were technically considered part of the grenadier company of a regiment, which is why they bear red "wings" on the shoulders of their uniform and why they often wore bearskins, but there exists evidence of them wearing cocked hats, as well, so it seems likely that depending on the regiment they could have worn either. They would be armed only with a short sword worn across the waist, as they generally were not expected to participate in actual combat. The instruments themselves also functioned as part of the uniform, in ways: the regimental drum was always painted in the facing color of the regiment, and in the case of fifers, the fife sling would also be colored according to the regimental colors—see the 22nd Regiment's "candy colored cord,” as we call it, below (as well as the red smallclothes, as they are a buff-faced regiment... featuring myself and my janky uniform on the right!).
Tumblr media
As far as I know the Continental Army generally abided by these same practices, which is why you occasionally get instances of the "American redcoat": certain musicians from the Continental army wore red coats with blue facings, looking much like their British adversaries, because they came from Continental regiments faced with red. This kind of cross-army confusion did not occur with the British, however, as those regiments faced in blue were the Royal regiments, and, in accordance with this honor, the musicians of these regiments kept the standard red coat with blue facings as opposed to inverting them (they were, however, still distinguishable by their copious amounts of lacing). Just goes to show that not every red coat is a Redcoat, and not every Redcoat wears a red coat!

Andiilan clothing is usually pretty lightweight- cotton, linen, and other fabrics like that, to deal with the hot- to mediterranean climate year round.
long post under cut
Temperatures rarely drop below 10°c in winter, and summers are normally around or above 30°c, so if it's cold out you just layer under your tuniko rather than over it.
Roughly eighty percent of the population still dress in the traditional style full time, and the rest tend to mix and match between Andiilan fashions and the continental fashions based off vibes. Iris does the latter.
Tumblr media
This is your typical sinjorino tuniko - young ladies tunic - cut to fall just above the knees, and made out of any natural lightweight fibre, and is always worn with a subjupo - petticoat and/or shorts underneath to give the skirts some volume.
Tuniko always have some sort of pattern embroidered at the hems and neckline- and the deep v-neckline is fully normal for both genders, and the high, inverse u shaped waistline is tightened or loosened with a braided drawstring. It isn't a tuniko without either of those three features. If you're not entirely comfy wearing the normal neckline you wear a stomako - a stomacher, or a v-shaped piece of cloth pinned in the gap to cover it and preserve the neckline.
Tumblr media
Shoes are normally very low platforms for daily wear, or slightly higher for occasions, but Iris doesn't really vibe with tegolo shoes most days - they're meant to force a smoother gait - so she's instead depicted in her usual wedge heels.
Tumblr media
The neckline and throat is always decorated according to taste, regardless of gender - pendant necklaces are incredibly popular, and are usually stacked up as much as the wearer wants to. Iris is depicted wearing a emerald hundreds of years older than she is with a choker. However, also a must have in Andiilan fashion is the tania - a long strip of cloth worn as a headband, sometimes embroidered. The tails are to be left dangling at the side of the head, and there's a infuriatingly fiddly knot it's got to be tied in - it's meant to look square if you've done it right. It's most often worn by young people, at least this style. There are other shapes and styles for the less delicately inclined.
Tumblr media
Additionally - if the vibes require it, you can add a ŝalo - a sort of bolero or shawl for either style or to protect from the breeze. There's no specifics to this, but this one is literally just a wide band of heavier cloth lined with something warm, and just tied around the shoulders.

Pactdice characters are cool and all but it’s all about that CONTEXT! Any other pcs + what’s your relationship - you all in a circle or what’s going on?
there's 4 other players in the campaign but one of them is in-between characters rn so idk what the state of his PC is in-universe. the player characters got summoned into a small town where they had distant (practitioner) family by the town's others bc there's a power vacuum and they need local practitioners to fill it and block off the chance for their adversaries to launch a bid for Lordship
the PCs range from 12 to 18 which is very funny bc i'm playing the oldest (cherri) and she genuinely thinks the 12 year old is the one most qualified to be lord. but shes 12 so she doesnt want to put that responsibility on her shoulders. which means the next person most qualified to be lord is herself, because she had a huge slapfight (with a body count) with the 16 year old and the 14 year old is so unstable that she had to take in a mobster so the 14 year old wouldn't murder her for being inconvenient
cherri's a cultist turned harbinger of Something patterned after an inversion of the catholic trinity (chthonic instead of celestial, blood-and-body-of-christ literalized as actual flesh), eliana (12) is a city mage slash host who accrues favor with city spirits and etc by taking in things spirits don't want around (like helping clean up a neighborhood by eating the distilled spirit of an infestation in the form of a spiritual rat), sabina (16) is an incarnate practitioner associated with an incarnation of Justice, and luna (14) is a heroic mage with a focus on two local bloodlines of heroes and villains
cherri and luna's families were allied but cherri tried to be friends with luna and it did not go well, and cherri and sabina's families were ancestral enemies based on what their last predecessors did & one of cherri's inherited other servants had vowed to kill whoever the head of sabina's family was so. conflict ensued since sabina wanted to kill luisa (the other) to protect herself and cherri did not want her oomfie killed.
she gets along with eliana well enough though!

The unusual weather patterns this summer has given my area a reprieve from the Climate Crisis Induced Smoke Hell we've had every summer for a decade or more. Being in a large valley surrounded by mountain ranges, we get inversions easily, which traps pollutants into the valley even when it's 'just' from 'normal' human activity, like car exhaust and factory pollutants.
It has been a relief this summer that more influential and populated areas of the country, like NYC, experienced the kind of intense smoke that I've been living with yearly. Will those in the seats of power care more when it's tens of millions of people suffocating, instead of the scant tens of thousands in my county?
One year, when my home was a yurt, I lived in unrelenting smoke, twenty-four/seven, with a wildfire so close that I could see flames over the the nearby tree tops. This year, we had a few days with a little smoke, but until yesterday, we had clear skies and fresh air.
But of course, on the eve of August, two wildfires have started nearby and the reprieve is at an end.
The neighborhood crows pant, glassy-eyed, and lose their balance when they perch on wires. They fly less, ruffling their feathers up almost as if they are cold, and pant, pant, pant. I know what it does to a thinking mind to never be able to escape the smoke.
My mouth tastes of ashy ponderosa, until the smell is so omnipresent that its friendly, campfire like ambiance turns stale. Then everything loses its scent and flavor, overwhelmed by a smell-taste that no longer registers, except in how it blots everything else out.
Did you know that a symptom of asthma is chest, back, and shoulder pain? It's like a single cramp, wrapping around the entirety of my upper body, that twists into place and then remains, at the same high level of intensity as the moment when it took my breath away. And a headache starts behind my forehead, throbbing in my sinuses which are as unhappy about the smoke bath as my seizing lungs and stinging eyes.
I think about the crows a lot. They store air in their honeycombed bones. I wonder if they ache, like my sinuses and lungs, when my breath floods them with millions of particules that irritate the delicate workings of my respiratory system.
Birds are far more susceptible to atmospheric pollution than mammals. My head throbs and I go inside to breathe filtered air. They fall from their perches and struggle to catch themselves with uncoordinated wings before they hit the asphalt.

Polkadot Price Prediction: Bullish Reversal Signals as Community Backs Crypto Card
Polkadot (DOT) is showing signs of a potential trend reversal, catching the attention of seasoned crypto traders. With a bullish “inverse head and shoulders” formation on the daily chart and upward indicators from both the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Stochastic Oscillator, DOT’s price prediction has turned optimistic in the short term.
Bullish Chart Patterns Signal Strength
Tumblr media
DOT has broken out of a falling wedge pattern—a bullish setup—and has since been climbing steadily. The key bullish reversal pattern, the inverse head and shoulders, reinforces this upward movement. Currently, bulls are aiming for the next resistance level at $5.37, which marks the highest point from May 11. However, a drop below $3.60 would invalidate this outlook.
Read Polkadot Price Prediction for 2025 - 2030
Polkadot's Community-Driven Growth
A major driver behind DOT’s current momentum is the ongoing community vote on launching a Polkadot crypto payment card. Here’s why this matters:
The card will be non-custodial, fee-minimized, and offer cashback.
It will support daily spending globally, with EUR and USD integration.
Over 136,900 DOT tokens (valued at over $570,000) have already been cast in favor, with the vote open for another 27 days. If the initiative passes and gains adoption, it could enhance DOT's real-world utility—bringing more attention and potentially increasing demand.

Beyond the card, Elastic Scaling is another major development. This upgrade allows parachains to dynamically add multiple cores, improving throughput and reducing congestion.
Asynchronous backing has already halved block times (from 12s to 6s).
Agile coretime has ended the need for parachain auctions, making onboarding easier.
With technical indicators, ecosystem upgrades, and strong community backing, Polkadot is setting the stage for a bullish rally—pending user adoption and vote outcomes.

Bitcoin’s $100K Dream Hangs by a Thread — And Most Investors Are Getting It Wrong
Tumblr media
Bitcoin is standing at the edge of a knife. This isn’t just another "healthy pullback." It’s a full-blown battle for Bitcoin’s next identity — and most traders are sleepwalking into it.
At $94,000, Bitcoin isn’t deciding whether to go up or down. It’s deciding whether it still has the power to lead global risk appetite into a new cycle — or whether it will spend the next six months trapped in a brutal sideways purgatory.
Right now, everything hangs on what happens between $94,000 and $99,000. Lose here, and we could see $83,000 faster than most are ready for. Win here, and Bitcoin will be knocking on $125,000’s door sooner than Wall Street expects.
But most retail investors are looking at the wrong signals.
The Great Supply Wall: 1.76 Million BTC Says "Prove It"
You can’t talk about Bitcoin’s future right now without confronting the 1.76 million BTC elephant in the room.
According to IntoTheBlock data, roughly 2.6 million wallets have accumulated Bitcoin in the $94,125–$99,150 range. That’s a gigantic cluster of potentially nervous holders who are near break-even — and itching to sell if price action weakens.
This isn’t a casual ceiling. This is one of the densest sell walls Bitcoin has faced in this entire cycle.
In plain English: The market must show overwhelming strength to bulldoze through $99K — or risk a bloody rejection.
If Bitcoin fails here, expect a sharp flush to $89,000, maybe even $84,000. That’s not doom-mongering — it’s basic liquidity math. There are 678,000 BTC waiting at $93,000 and another 759,150 BTC around $84,000, ready to catch the fall.
History is clear: When Bitcoin meets thick resistance and fails, it doesn’t just dip — it dives.
The Bull Case Isn't Dead — But It's on Life Support
Despite this looming threat, some technical structures still favor the bulls — if they act fast.
The big beacon of hope is the Inverse Head & Shoulders pattern spotted by Titan of Crypto. On the monthly timeframe, Bitcoin has already broken out above the neckline and successfully retested it.
In technical analysis terms, that’s a textbook setup for a massive rally. Measured moves from an H&S breakout put Bitcoin’s next fair target somewhere between $125,000 and $130,000 — a full 30% rally from current levels.
And here’s the thing: Monthly structures don’t fake out easily. Short-term volatility is noise; long-term patterns are destiny.
But — and it’s a big but — even the most beautiful pattern dies if momentum completely collapses at key resistance.
Bitcoin needs to close above $96,600 in the next 1–2 weeks to invalidate this local selling pressure. Fail that, and this dream starts slipping away.
The Dangerous Illusion of Leverage Pumps
One of the biggest risks to Bitcoin right now isn’t fundamentals. It’s overheated leverage.
Data from Maartunn highlights that Bitcoin’s latest rallies have been leverage-driven Easter pumps, adding over $2 billion in open interest within 24 hours.
Leverage-based gains are fake strength. They make charts look explosive, but underneath, the moves are hollow — easy prey for liquidation cascades.
We've seen this movie before:
March 2020 — leverage wiped out 50% of Bitcoin’s price in days.
May 2021 — over-leveraged longs got liquidated into a brutal summer bear market.
If Bitcoin cannot sustain organic spot buying to support these levels, the downside risk isn’t a 5% dip — it’s a violent 10–20% correction.
The illusion of strength is far more dangerous than obvious weakness.
The $83K Scenario: A Brutal, Necessary Cleansing
If Bitcoin fails to reclaim momentum here, I’m betting on a swift correction toward $83,000–$85,000.
Why that zone? Because that’s where real organic demand still exists — where conviction buyers, not speculators, are waiting.
Swissblock’s analysts agree:
$89,000–$90,000 is minor support (first landing pad)
$83,000–$85,000 is the real floor (where serious bids are stacked)
Think of it this way: A drop to $83K isn’t Bitcoin dying. It’s Bitcoin shedding dead weight before launching higher.
In fact, historically, Bitcoin’s strongest rallies often follow sharp, painful flushes. Clear out weak hands → reset leverage → real buyers step in → next leg higher.
It’s brutal, but it’s healthy.
The Macro Tailwind Few Are Talking About
While short-term technicals are messy, the macro backdrop quietly favors Bitcoin’s long-term strength.
Paul Atkins, the newly appointed SEC Chairman, is pro-crypto and already hinting at broader ETF approvals.
The U.S. dollar continues to show relative weakness, supporting Bitcoin’s narrative as a "digital safe haven."
Spot Bitcoin ETFs are raking in billions, cementing Bitcoin’s place in institutional portfolios.
When you zoom out, this is no longer the 2017 retail casino. This is Bitcoin’s first cycle as a mainstream macro asset.
Corrections are not only survivable — they’re investment opportunities for the brave.
Short-Term Pain, Long-Term Glory
Here’s where I’m planting my flag:
Bitcoin likely faces one more sharp correction toward $83,000–$85,000 in the next 30 days.
This will be painful, ugly, and drive fear headlines.
Smart money will be loading the dip, not panic selling.
By late 2025, Bitcoin will not only reclaim $100,000 — it will sprint past it toward $125,000 and beyond.
If you’re scared now, you’re looking too close. Zoom out. The future is already written — you just have to survive the turbulence.
Buckle Up
Bitcoin isn’t dying. It’s battling for its next chapter.
The $94,000–$99,000 zone is no joke. Fail here, and the next few weeks will be rough — but ultimately necessary.
If you can’t handle the volatility, Bitcoin has a simple message for you: This asset was never for the faint of heart.
And if you can? You’re about to witness history.
