Considering an Ironbones story post AoU, where Crossbones uses something from Hydra's old Vault O' Mystical Junk* to charm Tony, but it has the side effect of pushing out long term influence Wanda has been putting on him. Complicated layers of real and implanted alliances and feelings ensue.

What I can't decide is POV. If it was all Tony POV, there would be so much Unreliable Narrator, I'm not sure I could make it flow well but also let the reader know what was really going on. All Brock would be less confusing but also less fun. Alternating? Omniscient? Brock POV prologue and epilogue with all Tony in between? So many choices....

As they walked, the group was on the lookout for berries, but all the bushes were bare. The only thing in abundance were particularly bitter varieties of acorns which the youngsters refused to touch. Soon they reached the Bywall Paths. The portion that ran between the Bramble Way and the Western Game Trails was called the Ironbone Road. In ages past, a pair of iron rails ran parallel to the wall, roughly following the footprint of the present day paths. Almost all of it was long gone as the foxes had taken and melted down the precious metal. Here and there one could see a rusted spike, or even a rail sticking out of the dirt and gravel.

In which some party guests speak slander of Haurchefant, which Artoirel does not tolerate, and Francel is grateful for that.

                “Get out.”

                Francel paused mid-way to sipping his wine. Other nearby chatter quieted around Artoirel, whose formal tone turned stern. The nobleman he spoke to stiffened, while his wife stared wide-eyed.

                The nobleman sputtered. “Lord Artoirel? What is the meaning – “

                Artoirel’s voice suddenly boomed, “Get out. Now! Both of you! I will not have such noisome slander spoken under my own roof.”

                The rest of the room went quiet. Artoirel stared the offending party guests down. He stood still and strong, giving new meaning to his battle epithet of Ironbone. With a deep breath, the nobleman eventually tipped his head in a brisk nod before escorting himself and his wife from Fortemps Manor.

                “Pray, forgive the outburst,” said Artoirel as he turned to the rest of the gathering. “Please enjoy the rest of your evening.”

                One by one, the guests returned to what they were doing – if they didn’t switch to whispering about what just happened. Artoirel exhaled and let his shoulders slump for the briefest moment; Francel noticed.

                “Lord Artoirel…” said Francel, his voice quiet as he approached. “Are you quite all right?”

                “Yes, thank you, Lord Francel. Again, I apologize.” Artoirel gave the young lord a strained smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

                “Might I ask what happened?”

                Artoirel paused. If it had been anyone other than Francel or his own family asking, he would have deflected. Bitterness came over his expression, his brows furrowing. “I overheard them speaking ill of Haurchefant. They said it was better for House Fortemps now that he…”

                Artoirel’s eyes clenched shut; Francel’s widened. A white-hot burn coiled in the pit of the younger lord’s chest that most people wouldn’t think him capable of. One might’ve assumed he’d be used to hearing such talk about Haurchefant, but that never happened. A part of him didn’t want it to; it would feel too much like letting them win. Hearing that his closest friend could not even be afforded respect after his death, his sacrifice, brought that old, familiar fury back with a vengeance. What Francel was accustomed to doing was containing it.

                And so, when Artoirel opened his eyes again, Francel simply nodded.

                “You needn’t apologize, then. In fact, I thank you for defending him.”

                “It is the least I could do, after a lifetime of not doing it at all.”

What's something you find weird on here? I guess the constant unnecessary updates this website is doing and the fact they still haven't gotten the p0rn bot problem under control. There are times when I have to block like ten of those in a day.

What are rare-pairs that you're passionate about? Do Shanks and Makino count as a rare-pair? Cause I adore them with all my heart and they are probably my fave when it comes to One Piece pairings. If we're talking about Marvel, I'll have to go with Ironbones (Tony Stark and Brock Rumlow). I started shipping them thanks to a rp I once wrote and while it has been years since I last saw anything regarding this pair, I still enjoy it. Winteriron (Tony Stark and Bucky Barnes) probably falls under the same category, even if there is quiet a lot of content of them in comparison to the other two pairings I listed.

Have you ever written a canon muse that you first thought of 'meh' when they appeared in their canon show/movie/book? Yes. Tony actually. The first time I've seen his character was when I watched the first Avengers movie and I honestly didn't care that much about him. However I then started getting more and more involved into the fandom, learned more about his story, started writing him in 2015 and have been passionate about him as a character ever since.
