“i dunno, satoru… you don’t think this is a bit… much?”

your words are soft compared to the blood rushing in satorus ears, almost muffled as if you were speaking underwater.

“wh-what do you mean?”

his words leave him in a barely there squeak, his shoulders drawn up tense like he was about to flinch at his own words. he didn’t even have the time to act collected.

“i just- you dont think this is a little mean? anyone else would be heartbroken if you were to do this to them…” your shoulders slump slightly while you speak, your eyes still fixed to the pretty letter you held between your fingers.

it was so cliche you could’ve gagged. a note passed in class, a set meeting spot after school, and a blush pink envelope sealed with a little red heart (don’t forget the several digimon stickers that adorned both the envelope and the contents inside). you felt like a protagonist in a romance anime that you would’ve squealed over in the late hours of the night.

“mean?” he would’ve been confused if his mind wasn’t going a thousand miles an hour, but right now he was only questioning himself. he can admit, he kinda blacked out a little while writing out the sweet note, but even suguru was surprised with how genuine it sounded! not to mention that he read over it at least ten times before finally committing to sealing it! and the courage it took to ask you to meet with him-

“it’s just… this is really far even for you. i know you and suguru like to tease me sometimes and it’s usually funny but-“

oh.

you thought it was a joke.

“wh- NO!” if you were a meaner person you would’ve teased him about how bad his voice cracked, but you only looked up at him with wide eyes and a look of bewilderment.

“‘no’?”

“no. nonononononono-“ he’s shaking his head so adamantly he honestly might give himself whiplash (it almost looks like you told him he had a bug in his hair or something) and you only notice the fierce redness on his cheeks when he stops with his jerky movements.

“it’s not a joke i promise- i really meant everything i wrote in the letter.” his words are frenzied, like he was expecting you to walk away if he didn’t explain quickly enough.

you pause for a few beats.

“ah.” nice going.

it only takes a few seconds of silence for him to start rambling again.

“shoko was pushing me to finally say something because she was getting sick of me talking about you all the time and i still wasn’t even gonna do it when she said that but then suguru said he was gonna set you up with nanami if i didn’t say anything so-“

and god he would’ve thought the soft press of your lips against his cheek was completely his imagination if he didn’t watch you stumble over your own feet slightly while pulling away.

you’re quick to recover and fleeing the scene as soon as you get the chance with a call of “text me later, okay?” over your shoulder. he doesn’t even know if you hear his small squeak of confirmation, but that doesn’t matter because you definitely hear the way the 6’2 teen squeals to himself when he thinks you’re out of earshot.

To open the book, the circular mechanical emblem on the cover must be twisted in an anticlockwise direction, which causes the two clasps on the right side to pop up. To close the book, the two clasps should be pushed down into their corresponding slots and held. The emblem should then be turned clockwise, causing the locks to fix back into place. trying to put words to how exactly my peter pettigrew deviates from fanon and i think ultimately, as most things, it has to do with james. because peter meta is at its best when you (correctly, i think) understand james potter as a villain in the story. james potter is interesting precisely because he is seen as an infallible hero by one half of canon AND irredeemable villain by the other, but both groups technically have an accurate understanding of him. and his behavior (and your perception of him) wholly depends on what side of the gulf you're standing on.

like, james is an amazing friend and gallant war hero but he still sexually harasses snape in public with impunity. he became a good husband to lily but the way he treated her for years was exploitative and gross. these are facts. and it tracks that the people who have only been exposed to james's ugly side would (accurately) see him as an entitled scion who wields societal power and chooses to abuse the powerless. to "dark wizards", james is as much an example of privileged pureblood cruelty as canon draco is to canon harry.

and peter pettigrew is interesting because he is someone who, for unclear reasons, was lucky enough to be picked as a "good guy" and thus be treated well by "good james". except unlike everyone else who has encountered or been won over by "good james", peter still sees him as a villain and is incapable of forgiving him— for valid reason!! peter is still a gryffindor at his core and he has gryffindorish motivation. like, his murdering james isn't a judas escariot story. from peter's perspective it's far more like Claudia killing Lestat.

So essentially, Irns from junkeon he resided on a desolate scrap pile floating alone through space during his adult life but prior to that he was in the pits.. ooo new lore drop.. anyway

Thus irn really struggled to fit in and meld in, major sideswipe fanboy ofc, he found a poster of the guy (no idea how to read his name at the time) and became obsessed with his gorgeous bright colours, and his overall coolness i mean cmon it’s the sideswipe

Irns a scrappy little guy, essentially the DIY king (literally) he loves Looking pretty, and ofc a mechanic ✍️🔥🔥 borderline medic but he’s never trained officially, everything he fixes he’s done on himself to know it works and or how to do it (with FEWWW exceptions ie solar panel wings.. mwahaha)

Webb lore.. is cooking greatly so I shan’t spoil TOOO much, but but he is a scientist, the James webb telescope? Thats him he’s built for long distance journeys through the coldness of space he requires little energon output (he’s built different ong he’s too cool) taking pictures of the surrounding stars, planets etc etc mapping out different sectors 🗣️🗣️

As to how they met by chance IRN found webb within a stasis like state, at first he was gonna take some supplies but quickly realised the big guy was alive by the weak ‘em field projecting, so he got to work and gradually started making repairs enough so he can transform back to bot mode again, who knows how long he’s been like that, days, weeks, vorns, centuries? More? No one except the stars know,

There trope consists of strangers->friends->lovers, major slowburn as their bond flourished through their travels through space 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ Webbs a pacifist, so irn keeps him safe through their journey, either with repairs or from space pirates 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ or any other rogues…

Irns completely infatuated he’s never met a bot like webb, a huge satellite with probably a shit ton of destructive capabilities yet is a gentle spark, one he’s quickly come to adore who he’s ready to either kill for, or die for, he’s always awed that the big guy actually reciprocates, (Webbs the prettiest bot irns ever seen, and he knows pretty)

BUT YEAH THERES SOME MORE CONDENSED?? Lore, eheheh subject to tweeks here and there but this is the rough layout we’ve got going on 🗣️🗣️

Do you ever find yourself assigning Pokemon teams to various characters? I'm not even a Pokemon fan myself, the only things I've ever really liked from the franchise are the Detective Pikachu movie and Pokemon Concierge, but I find it a fascinating concept nonetheless

i drew this a few years ago… but i don’t think i’ve actually given these guys actual teams? i’ll follow up with that soon when i have some time to think on it. i think i think more in terms of what Pokemon would these guys actually Be, because these were spurred on by some older older older drawings where i drew Porky as Tepig… is Ducklett too on the nose for Daffy? again i need to THINK. but Porky is also a tepid pig cmon it’s right there… and i think it’s funny how Audino looks a lot like him. i made the second drawing with the idea of “Audino looks a lot like Porky and so Daffy would pretend to confuse them because he knows it pisses Porky off”. lots of accidental Unova representation

i also always name my Pokémon after cartoon characters if i can. Tepig is always my starter for Unova and i always name him Porky, i always name my Chimchar starter Lazlo, etc..

BUT YES I DO INDEED!! now i need to set aside and think of a proper Pig and Duck team THANK YOU. Tepig and Ducklett have both skyrocketed to some of my favorite Pokémon solely for the other pig and duck mental association in my mind..
