hate brigade? I'm sorry but joe alwyn is directly responsible for a lot of the mental hurt that taylor will have to deal with for the rest of her life. I don't understand how people can hear sll, half the songs on midnights not to mention the anxiety ridden lover album and not see the emotional gaslighting joe was putting taylor through! Like that takes a toll and fans qnd the general public alike has a right to call that out. Now he's saying ish about tayvis when none of this concerns him?? Like if that's not manipulative, my name is Bennett cuz he's literally re inserting himself into the ex he resented' life. Unhinged if you ask me. So I don't think it's fair to characterize people as doing the most in this case. Alwyn could have just kept quiet and ate and ate food but now he deserves the dragging. Peace.
wowww wow okay so a couple of things:
we don't know much about their relationship. all we have is speculation based on taylor's lyrics, but we have to remember she is an unreliable narrator, so at best we can take them with a grain of salt. that is excluding how she might have modified certain things to present herself in a favourable light. I'm not saying she did or didn't, but it's a possibility. I say this because of how she's written music about her cheating. She very obviously focuses on how she was feeling and what led her to cheat, rather than her considerations of how it would affect her partner, which I think is yet another manifestation of how she perpetuates her victim narrative. I'm not saying all cheaters are villains, there's definitely some complex emotions involved, but she writes in such a way so as to encourage the reader to root for her by default.
This plays into her desire to be seen as the underdog or hero that everyone wants to support. She did this with Miss Americana too where she spun this whole standing up for women and other marginalised groups narrative, which I think contributed to being a swiftie becoming a trend, along with her whole 'relatable' schtick, fostering personal relationships etc.
There is nothing wrong with liking her music (I'm not gatekeeping), my issue is with people who treat becoming a swiftie as some girl scouts patch to earn by ripping into her 'enemies,' most popularly her exes. Naturally, he has been put through hell on social media since the break-up, up till ttpd dropped and the attention shifted to matty instead.
I agree that many of her love songs from as early as lover are anxiety-ridden, but I think that speaks more to her personality rather than his actions. Certain events may have transpired and he might have acted in a certain way which made her feel insecure etc but we have no reason to think he did it maliciously. What we do have is reason to think this is extremely unlikely. 2016 was rough man, no one knew if she would ever recover from #taylorswiftisoverparty, and yet he still stuck around. To me I think that shows he genuinely cared about her, something taylor has also thought.
Could you elaborate on the emotional gaslighting he has done, (and hence the "mental hurt" he has caused her) keeping in mind all those other reasons why her music is not an accurate source of info ^^?
getting more specific with sll, I don't see how he did anything wrong? I don't want to get too much into it but I know what it feels like to be burdened by someone else's mental health issues, and I do feel irritated by it at times, even though at the end of the day I know it's something they can't control. There's nothing wrong with creating art about difficult emotions, but I think she did not need to release it for the whole world to hear, knowing that they know who she is talking about. The song itself isn't too egregious, she just expresses her frustration with the whole situation ("you'll find someone," "I'm not the one" -> even she doesn't blame him for anything let alone the emotional gaslighting you're accusing him of anon what are you on 😭) the main problem is when people like you use it to villainise joe. like explain to me what part of it shows his gaslighting
For context here is what the whole deuxmoi thing is about, taken from this post:
Tumblr media
You can clearly see that he was expressing an opinion on what he thought was a private enough setting. How could he have known he was going to be overheard and it was going to leak to the internet and eventually reach taylor (if any of this ie even true)? She is his ex of 6 years and it's only been a year since their breakup, I think it's fine that he's still somewhat emotionally occupied with her. We don't know if he obsesses about her every day and since the London travis thing is pretty recent, maybe it was just on his mind that day? Also why does he have to keep quiet? taylor can write whatever she wants in her songs, I think he is more than justified to have a conversation in public. We have no reason to think he meant for this to get out or to "[re-insert] himself into the ex he resented' life," as you put it.
to end off, anon I really think you should touch grass (and I'm not trying to be condescending here) because it feels like you're blowing up select details out of proportion to fit the narrative taylor has created through her music. We don't know how accurate that narrative is.

I wondered if this would come up with the repeated mention of being for or against using religious iconography on doll clothes, but I guess someone needs to mention something important about human culture and the nature of symbolism.
The reason crosses on things is problematic is because ultimately they will always represent an affiliation to Christianity. The nature of symbols is that they are inherently symbolic and thus they communicate to people a relationship to the belief or group which the symbol has been known to represent.
Because of history and the many complications of colonialism, Puritanism, and bigotry, I personally view symbols of Christianity (the cross, the crucifix, Jesus, etc) as akin to hate symbols, and therefore those who brandish them are unsafe and unwelcome to me. Obviously, other people feel the opposite and see Christianity as a beacon of love and faith and therefore the symbols make them feel safe and those who brandish them are felt to be friends or community. Ultimately, the lesson is the same. The cross communicates an affiliation to that particular religion, and to say that it can exist neutrally is frankly ignorant and naive, but it happens a lot actually because Christianity is so deeply ingrained in human culture that most languages heavily incorporate direct references to capital G God as colloquialisms, and because of colonialism and missionaries, and evangelicalism, there is nearly no part of the entire globe which has not in some way been touched or influenced by Christianity (or at the very least, Abrahamic religion). This creates a sense of easy assimilation that has existed for hundreds of years which makes us complacent to the oppressive thumb of Christianity, making us blind to its influence and heavy presence in everything we do, see, and consume.
So allow me to make an extreme example which will be easier to separate from the normality of Christian and Abrahamic iconography:
If someone started selling doll clothes (think gothic Lolita) but instead of crosses as decorations, they included sw*stikas, but the creator proclaimed that they “just think they’re pretty” or that they “believe in the original representation of peace, unity, and fertility” and are therefore unaffiliated with n*zis and believe the symbol to be neutral. Would this bother you?
I don’t think any reasonable person would say that it wouldn’t. Some may say that that person can do as they please, but ultimately the only people who would buy the clothes would be people who are entirely ignorant and naive to the implication, or people who directly identify with n*zis as no non-bigoted person would ever want to accidentally or negligently indicate to others that they hate Jewish people, poc, the disabled, or lgbtq+ people, or any other people that have been victimized by the people who have proudly brandished that symbol and gave it the infamy it has today.
It’s a outlandish example for sure because most people believe the n*zis were/are bad, and the majority of the world still feels some favor for Christianity as Christians are a lot of the time in the majority, but ultimately, the message is the same.
Like the sw*stika denotes n*zism, wearing a cross tells other people that you approve of Christianity (whether that is a good or bad thing in your opinion is entirely up to you) and similarly wearing a cross upside down tells people that you disapprove of it or even are affiliated with Satanism or some kind of anti-Christian faith and would therefore cause discomfort in people who believe in or hold dear God and Jesus. Trying to say that symbols hold no weight or meaning would, in essence, dismantle the fundamentality of language and culture in relation to humanity as every language and translation between languages began with an image which became representative of an idea or thing.
Sure it’s a lot to read into a metal charm, but I think it’s important to always question why we do something as human beings. Why is one symbol, beloved by a group that unfairly victimized a minority people (the sw*stika), seen as terrible and far too heavy to be used so carelessly or neutrally, but another symbol, also beloved by a group that has been known historically to unfairly victimize several different minority peoples and cultures (the cross), is comfortably used in neutrality because it “looks nice” and its “not that deep”? It’s mostly food for thought, but I think in this day and age we should not so blindly submit to these forces for the sake of complacency, neutrality, and conformity without asking ourselves “Why would I wear this symbol if I don’t agree with what it represents?” Especially in an age where people are educating themselves about brands which use child slave labor and actively pollute the world for profit, and then also trying to warn people off of wearing their logos or publicly displaying their use of that company’s products to limit the control those companies have on our day-to-day lives.

🪨Venture (OW II) x (gn) reader ⛏️
(Eating Disorder Reader Edition)
(Warning!: Angst [with comfort], mention of vomit, self-hate)
Tumblr media
(Picture’s not mine!)
(Request here! Hey… Uh— Sorry this took longer than predicted, for a wide variety of reasons, including planning a way on how to tackle such a topic like this— I want this to be respectful and good. So I hope I captured that.)
- A rather tough and taboo subject but not an uncommon one people experience for a myriad of reasons, something that Sloane hasn’t personally experienced, however, they do know what it’s like to be uncomfortable in their skin.
- While they may not relate directly to your experience they are still a strong and reliable beam of support that you can lean on.
- Their empathy alone is a constant and yet they still go above and beyond for you, and keeps you in mind as they make the effort to help.
- They know that the people you hold close are an important part of your being able to recover healthily and they are so proud of you for having the willpower and effort to fall out of this.
- Helps with making sure you eat healthy and in proper quantities, and if it ever came to it they’d try to learn to cook in a heartbeat.
- A cooking class as a possible date could be really cute, a bit disastrous as they run around with a bowl of fire yelling crap like “I GOT THIS ALL UNDER CONTROL MI VIDA!”
- They don’t in fact have this all under control, still cute though.
- Sweet and genuine with you when they tell you that they want to learn about your certain condition and be there for you through thick and thin.
- That sentiment is never challenged, even in your toughest moments (ex: vomiting, hiding away food, abdominal pain, limiting food range, self-loathing, etc.)
- Always make sure you know that in these moments, you aren’t to blame and that you are learning to be someone you can love as they love you.
- If anyone tries to criticize you or plant themselves forcefully into your journey, believe me, the uppercut they give that person if they don’t heed Sloane’s warning to knock it off will be legendary.
- Constantly have to remind themselves that they won’t always have the answers or solutions to help mediate certain situations that arise.
- But they definitely get credit for how they help, the balance between healthy eating and exercise is always equal for both you and them.
- Makes their feelings about being incredibly proud and in love with you apparent, that no matter the circumstances they love to help you up and keep you close.
- Going back to cooking they always make sure to change things up so you don’t get sick of it, and it helps them widen their excitement for cooking.
- The kitchen ends up a mess 9 times out of 10… Helping them would be deeply appreciated and get you forehead kisses.
- In general, they’re very on top of your schedule, treatment, etc— If it helps you they’ll know everything about it.
- If you ever need it they’re going to remind you of certain things, like if you have medication that needs to be taken with food or you need to take a nap after a particularly rough day.
- Your health and safety to top priority and they make it well known with how they hold you close and kiss you affectionately on the lips if you’re feeling a bit more discouraged than usual.
- Sloane can’t get enough of you and it shows, and they hope that they can give you at least half of what they feel for you.
(Edit: HSJWJWKWK Almost forgot to put this in, um— As some of you guys have already realized the song is the opening song for My Babysitter’s a Vampire! It’s such a great song, found the whole thing months ago and to say I was elated was an understatement lol)

"No, your friends don't hate you" a personal essay or a reflective text talking about how sometimes we feel like everybody hate us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today a very simple and small thing happened in my life that I started to think "really, everyone must hate me" because my best friend responded to me more dryly than we are used to treating each other. So, right after that, I freaked out. But later on, she responded to me by starting a conversation like herself. So, I'm going to put here a list, which might make sense to the topic, of things that might be happening to make us feel like "everyone hates me right now."
You must be feeling lonely. We as human beings really look for connection, right?* And when we don't get it, we can start to feel bad about ourselves, perhaps like we're not "deserving of love". Try looking into this if it's feel good for you. (Abraham Maslow)*
You may be facing low self-esteem right now. When our self-esteem is low we may tend to think we are less than others, we tend to need more external validation* and our thoughts about ourselves tend to be more negative**. (Carl Rogers)* (Aaron Beck)** (Melanie Klein)**
Maybe you can be personalizing external events right now. In psychology, personalizing external events refers to the tendency of an individual to interpret external events as being directly related to them, even when there is no clear evidence of such a connection. Like, when we hear people whispering and we assume it's about us or like me today, that assumed my friend hated me because she was more quiet today. Like, there are more reasons for my friend to be more quiet today than just me. Not everything is our fault, right? (Derald Wing Sue).
Tumblr media
"The implication of this is that the mind’s possibilities are limited by it's concept of it's potential". - Na'im Akbar.
Psychologists and psychoanalysts that I tried to read to make this list, by order of topic: Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, Aaron Beck, Melanie Klein, Derald Wing Sue, Na'im Akbar.

Cater Info Compilation part 8: Childhood
There are occasional hints throughout the game that, while Cater is from the Shaftlands, his family moved often when he was a child (he is the only main cast member in Heartslabyul who is not from the Queendom of Roses).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get the full story during Halloween, along with the reason why Cater is so attached to Magicam.
At first we see Cater dealing with NRC’s newfound Magicam fame. While experiencing “a major bump in followers”, Cater explains, “my notifications are blowing up hard with replies and DMs from old IRL acquaintances. And when I say ‘old’ I mean, like, elementary school old."
One particular acquaintance seems especially persistent, even going so far as to call Cater directly, though he refuses to answer.
While discussing the situation Lilia receives a phone call from Sebek and answers immediately, interrupting the conversation, to Cater’s surprise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(While helping Lilia handle Malleus’ meltdown, triggered by the Magicam Monsters, Cater explains “It’s not as if these people hate Malleus. Which isn’t to say that they like him, either. It’s ultimately about chasing a trend. Just like my old acquaintances.” The trend they’re chasing being Cater himself.)
Cater’s plan to distract the Magicam Monsters works and he witnesses Lilia reminding Malleus “We may not be related by blood, but we ARE family”.
Cater silently reflects, “Lilia’s developed cherished relationships while living in the same place his whole life. There’s no way he could ever understand how helpless I feel.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cater is interrupted by a phone call from Trey that he answers immediately.
The vignette ends with Cater saying “Like always, we’ll all probably go our separate ways in four years.”, but it seems that four years is actually a long time to be in the same location, for Cater.
Cater explains that his dad works for a bank and his entire family would relocate whenever he was transferred to a new location, approximately once every two years.
Cater explains, “But for all the people I met, one thing never changed. I would always leave, and they would always stay. That’s why I always tried to be on good terms with everyone, rather than forge strong bonds with a chosen few. Like a circus performer who has a grand old time with people from around the world, and then packs up and moves on. In that sense, Magicam’s been seriously great because I can get messages from people I knew at school three years ago. I can have all the casual connections I can handle. And that’s just my speed, right?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kalim insists that distance is no reason to keep people at arm’s length and offers Cater the use of his flying carpet to visit his Magicam friends, while Lilia observes, “In deciding not to get too close to any one person, you may be the wisest one here, Cater.”
(During Wish Upon a Star we learn that Trey and Cater were roommates for the two years and we get a cryptic line from Trey: “You’d think he’d be open to sharing one of his actual wishes by now. Then again he is…just not with me.”)
(There is a fan theory that this ties back into Cater’s decision to not get too close to anyone as he is closer to Trey than he has ever been to anyone else and wants a buffer zone of untold secrets so as not to get any closer before they graduate and go their separate ways.)

What do you think of twins theory? Or got any other theories regarding yuuji and sukuna. And please also share your view on sukuna view on yuuji because I think others are too quick to put a label on their relationship as hate or indifference. I believe sukuna is slowly showing the results he acquired after being forced to coexist with yuji, and he is realizing it now. There is not much deep analysis on their dynamic besides sukuna hating yuuji.
I've written about my thoughts on the twins theory before here, but to summarize:
I do think there is some merit to the theory that Yuuji might have some connection to Sukuna’s twin, although I don’t think it’s as simple as just being a descendent. I think Kenjaku either made use of the twin brother’s flesh or soul in some way or Yuuji is more a metaphorical descendent of him as in, he serves a similar function. Sukuna was most likely a conjoined twin as we can tell from his body and the fact that he was ostracized since birth (an “unwanted child”). It could be that Sukuna’s brother used to be the more dominant one with most of the power over their shared body and Sukuna only really came into himself when he absorbed/ate his twin and made them one. Similar to the Maki and Mai situation. The power Yuuji has over Sukuna might remind him of that, creating some additional animosity or the ability of Yuuji's to do that could even come from the other twin directly. The way Sukuna used to reside in Yuuji’s body is similar to conjoined twins, some imagery in the manga has also hinted at that, but I don’t see this to mean they are actual twins. Also I don’t agree with the theories that Yuuji is literally this other twin. That seems way too easy and the way it is usually presented it sounds too close to making Yuuji simply Sukuna 2.0 or a carbon copy of some other person of the past, which nothing so far has hinted at. I don’t know, that just feels very cheap to me. So I think Yuuji might have a similar skillset to that brother, but he isn’t literally him or related to him.
Basically, I think there is very little evidence for Yuuji being literally a reincarnation of a person from the past, be it Sukuna's twin or someone else. If that was the case, I think Sukuna would act differently and we would by have heard more about who exactly this other person would be. It's also just personal preference because I think it cheapens Yuuji's character. He has always been about standing for himself. He isn't some descendent from some big family like Yuuta, Gojo or Noritoshi, he has no over-powered cursed technique, he is just very adaptable and can take in strength from other people (be it through absorbing them or teamwork). Even the skills he seems to have taken from the Death Paintings he has adapted for himself. So for all this to just come from some person in the past we haven't heard anything about so far would take away from Yuuji's character. The twins aspect seems most appropriate in a symbolic sense to me in that Yuuji and Sukuna are deeply connected, but also opposites. Both of them also use the other to enhance their own skills.
As for Sukuna's feelings on Yuuji, it's definitely not indifference. Never seen someone more bothered by Yuuji's mere existence. Mahito appears fun and chill next to him. Sukuna hates Yuuji and that in itself is already special. We've seen Sukuna fight a whole number of people, but he does it because he's bored, not because he hates them. Even when he cut down Mimiko and Nanako, he did it because they disrespected him and stepped out of line, there were no personal feelings attached to it. He doesn't care enough about them or any other sorcerer he faced to really hate them. It seems like he doesn't particularly like Kenjaku because they, similar to Yuuji, have power over him, but in this case it manifests more as Sukuna simply avoiding Kenjaku and talking a bit of shit behind their back, he isn't as excessively bothered by them as by Yuuji.
The reason for that I think is the deep connection they have by being forced to share one body with Sukuna not even being in the driver seat most of the time. Meaning, he was forced to see things from Yuuji's perspective and experience everything with him. In other words, he was forced to emphasize. As he said in chapter 248, other people don't matter. They might say their platitudes, dying wishes and strong convictions, but that won't touch Sukuna because he has no reason to care about them or be invested in their life or death except for how it might entertain him for a while. With Yuuji, he can't ignore all those convictions, he can do nothing else but to witness them.
It's not just hate because of some slighted feelings over being imprisoned but Yuuji represents an almost existential threat to Sukuna because he forces him to reflect on his ideology and question his entire approach to life. For a second, Sukuna asks himself if he might be fundamentally unsatisfied, if he might be longing for more than just hedonism, but then pushes it aside. He is right and Yuuji is wrong and to prove that he has to crush him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or theoretically his goal is to crush Yuuji and his ideals. Practically, he hasn't really changed his approach of ignoring Yuuji and sometimes making some petty remarks about him. Which isn't gonna get him any closer to putting a permanent end to Yuuji. I guess the other people are just distracting him too much to be able to focus... But that will hopefully change in the future.
Both Yuuji and Sukuna changed because of their co-existence, Sukuna even more so than Yuuji I would say. Yuuji was able to unlock the true potential of his body and got his first push to grow as a person through having to persevere against Sukuna. Sukuna has been able to feel the shape of his soul thanks to sharing a body with Yuuji, which eventually allowed him to turn himself into a cursed object again and change vessels. I think this is different from Yuuji. Yuuji also has gained more awareness of his soul, but I think he always had a firm grasp on it, that's why he was able to regain control of his body so easily after Sukuna first took over. He doesn't get overwhelmed, he sees an intruder and due to being able to instinctually perceive the edges between their souls could push Sukuna aside. Recently, he has basically learned how to properly take advantage of this understanding of souls and use it to hurt others. For Sukuna it seems to have been a more gradual process.
And like I said before, Yuuji also prompted a questioning of his life philosophy, which he never considered before. Yuuji has been pushed down and traumatized by Sukuna and Mahito, but they never made him question his fundamental principles of valuing life. In that regard Yuuji is stronger than Sukuna and able to pose a real threat to him.

I thought I was done being disappointed in stranger things. Falling out of love with a hyperfixation that brought me so much joy already sucked, but the whole Noah Shnapp shit really ruined it for me. I wasn't planning on watching or supporting season 5 anyways, but finding out Argyle won't be in s5 has really stripped away any want still buried deep in my brain man, like I'm not even slightly interested in watching illegally now. (I wasn't planning on it but curiosity is strong sometimes)
Jonathan was my favorite character, and Argyle is SO important for his character. Like putting aside how important Argyle was to the plot of s4, his importance to Jonathan was reason enough for him being there since Jonathan NEEDED him.
Argyle was the ONLY relationship he had that didn't have expectations. He could be free and loose and himself around Argyle. This isn't hate towards Will or Joyce or Nancy because he loves them and the story likes to ignore it but those relationships all come with expectations that the story has hinted at being hard for Jonathan to manage.
He loves his brother and his mom but the role he was forced into so young has really damaged him and how he views himself. The expectation to be a fatherly figure, an authority figure, a protector. I know Jonathan doesn't mind doing it because he loves his family but it's a lot of pressure and if s4 told us anything (again, even if the story likes to gloss over it for some reason) that pressure was too much for him.
And I LOVE Jancy, I love Nancy, but again s4 told us directly that in some way he feels a lot of pressure with her. He feels the need to give up on his dreams in one way or another, because it's either he goes to college with Nancy doing something he doesn't exactly wanna do, or he doesn't and he loses his girlfriend. He fears communication with her because she might get upset, at the end of s4 you can see that while he trusts Nancy and doesn't think anything is going on with Steve because he also trusts Steve, we can't deny the writers might do some lame ass love triangle bullshit this next season which will put even more pressure on Jonathan because now he might lose his girlfriend to his previous bully 🧍‍♀️
Argyle was SO healthy for Jonathan's character! He helped get Jonathan out of his comfort zone in some ways, in all 4 seasons with Argyle Jonathan was the most free and silly and acted like a teenager! He could just be a teenager with Argyle. He wasn't a supportive big brother or boyfriend or oldest son or any of the stigmatizations from his home town with Argyle, he was just Jonathan. Instead of worrying about taking care of Will, or getting a job to help pay bills or (at the time) fighting monsters, he was playing golf in the middle of a car dump with his best friend, getting high in their pizza van and having fun. I dunno, I just think it's a shame we're taking away his only friend that he isn't dating or related to.
I also fear that the did it for a reason of pushing the love triangle because let's be real if Argyle was there Jancy would just communicate. Argyle wouldn't stand for them dancing around each other and Steve being an issue he'd be like 'talk it out 👏🏼👏🏼'
Again this isn't even MENTIONING how important he is to the plot of s4 in general? Some people say he was just the comic relief and while he definitely played that role, he also is the reason half the main cast are alive?? Without Argyle; will, Mike and Jonathan would be dead! They would have no escape from the government SHOOTING THEIR HOUSE AND TRYING TO KILL THEM. they would have no transportation to find El, they'd have never even found El! They'd never have found a place to make a bathtub so El could save max, they'd never have made it back to Hawkins! He is an important character not just to Jonathan (because while I adore their friendship and this post may make it seem that way) HE IS NOT AN ACCESSORY TO JONATHAN! He was a fun character, a relavent character!
They could have done so much with him, imagine how he could have interacted with other characters? Character pair ups that could have been awesome? Steve and Argyle would be SO FUNNY! Argyle and Dustin, Argyle and Lucas bonding over neither being fucking white, Argyle and Robin being a comedy duo, Argyle and fucking Nancy having a conversation as Jonathan best friend and girlfriend respectively, or Argyle finally just meeting the girl he's heard about for a year- i dunno the possibilities are endless and the duffers are lame for not doing ANYTHING with the potential of these characters.
Oh well, I lost respect for Stranger Things a while ago, but a part of me is still passionate about the story being told and it really is a shame for Jonathan's character. But I shouldn't be surprised the writers have always kind of hated Jonathan. Those stonathan moments better be great I guess, I dunno I won't be watching it 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

How does failteacher Yuri interact with the greater plot of persona 5? I remember Toriumi mentioning 'some weird shit in 2010', but do the two of them have to deal with stuff like Kamoshida's change of heart and the principal's death?
the current policy is that unless something directly and immediately relevant comes up the answer is "it doesn't"
for 2 reasons. number one is that i don't feel like binding myself to the month-by-month timeline of p5-the-game in too much detail, because i'm lazy, and making my AU up as i go (lol). and the second reason is that observing the plot from a completely uninitiated unrelated POV is just not very interesting to me....... orz
one important thing about my failteacher AU is that it's a casual n sloppy style(!!) project that i do this way because it's fun (and as soon as i stop having fun i will stop making it). the vibe of creating it is just as important as the vibe of reading it. my worry is that committing too hard to ~The P5 Plot Is Happening Among Us~ would have me too distracted by logistics and timeline puzzles that aren't even relevant to the story i'm trying to tell, and suck the fun out of the project for me...
due to the year difference btween the 2 games, the plot of P3 did happen in 2009-2010 (the "weird shit" comment was in a doodle but yes it did happen and parts of it will be Main Comic Material later when relevant) (and i think its obvious enough from comics like #3 and general characterization that the Hermit 1-10 arc took place) (BUT MODIFIED IN VERY IMPORTANT PLACES. LOL) but obviously toriumi was an uninitiated & unrelated POV to that game so she doesn't really know that much about it outside of the parts that directly impacted her (which to be fair. are pretty serious)
p5 is much scarier because its looming on the horizon in FRONT of us and i hate being confined by a tangentially-related-at-best timeline. directly dealing with stuff like the fallout of palace 1 is a MAYBE? but ONLY because there are tangible Relevant consequences for -us- (more scrutiny placed on shujin teachers -> ms chouno gets on kawakami's ass, etc)
im gonna be real withyou i didnt even remember the principal dies. MDHNBFGB sorry to this man
all in all its just like. 99% of the plot of p5 is stuff these people are not privy to (kawakami's % is removed due to her no longer being joker's confidant thanks to hermit meddling) + committing to that timeline too hard would be abrasive to the comic + im much more versed in p3 minutiae anyway (especially later on in the p5 year). so its kind of like. well. just try not to Expect anything too major xD
if smthg catches my interest and i can work with it to make an interesting development, sure. but in the end its like why would i risk binding myself to specific points of a timeline and incurring Untold Rammys when i could simply not do that to myself. you know 😭
HOWEVER. FOR UNRELATED REASONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT BUT MAY OR MAY NOT PAY DIVIDENDS LATER (<- what did he mean by this?) it is seeming INCREASINGLY LIKELY that we might in fact currently be in the autumn -before- p5, meaning joker enrolls come spring in a few months and the game starts then.
^this paragraph directly contradicts everything above it but its fine. i have my reasons. just don't hold me to it TOO closely. i don't want to commit to a timeline just to be boxed in by unforeseen consequences later. but if you were curious there is a quiet notion in the background that says the plot of p5 proper hasn't started yet.
it's a "soft fuzzy timeline" but that's Secretly where we're at in it . kawakami bitching about her awful new student come April <3
So Perhaps Time Will Tell. if they're still doing this shit come May maybe i get to blow kamoshida up or whatever

Why I LOATHE The "Amity Hates Hunter" Headcanon
In the TOH fandom, there's a certain headcanon that's been floating around in the community. You've probably seen a fan comic or two about and even an animatic video, that being, the "Amity hates Hunter" headcanon. After analyzing the show further and gaining a better appreciation for it, I can safely say that this headcanon absolutely sucks. Now there's nothing wrong with people having headcanons or anything, you can headcanon whatever the hell you want, but I really feel that this headcanon in particular spreads a really bad misconception about Amity and Hunter's relationship and kind of misses the thing the show is going for. So in this post, I'm going to analyze this headcanon and why it just. Does not work.
1. What Is The Premise of The Headcanon?
Before I dissect this headcanon let's first establish what this headcanon is about. Basically, the premise of the headcanon is that Amity doesn't fully trust Hunter after his redemption since she hasn't forgotten about the time he threatened Luz's life so he could get the titan blood key from her, and so she still dislikes him and hasn't bought his change yet. She would be more skeptical of him, basically.
Alright, so now we've established what the headcanon is based on, let's now get into the real meat of why this headcanon doesn't work. I'm going to talk about Eclipse Lake, Any Sport in A Storm and Labyrinth Runners and analyze each episode in terms of how they demonstrate why Amity wouldn't hate Hunter.
2. Eclipse Lake
Eclipse Lake seems to be an episode that is heavily misunderstood by the "Amity hates Hunter" crowd to me, as some people seem to forget certain things about Amity and Hunter's relationship here and ONLY focus on Hunter threatening Luz to Amity's face. This is where I bring up my first major point here; that being, Amity relates to Hunter. Amity and Hunter are directly meant to be parallels to each other, and Eclipse Lake does pretty clearly show that. Hunter throughout the whole episode basically does a "you and me are not so different" thing with Amity, with how they both have to live up to the standards of the people they care about and are afraid of disappointing them, and eventually, when Amity sees Hunter literally dig his own grave, Amity realizes that he is right, they are both kids held up to high standards by their shitty parents that they are afraid of not meeting.
And THIS is what people often miss here; Amity relates to Hunter. She's been in the same position and circumstances as him - after all, she knows exactly what it's like to have shitty parents, so she would empathize with him given their similar circumstances. And this could also mean that Amity would realize that Hunter, in some way, is being abused by Belos - which again, she would empathize with given she used to be in similar circumstances to him. She wouldn't hate Hunter, she would empathize with him because she sees herself in him, she knows what it's like to be in his position, to have parents who force you under pressure to meet high standards that you may struggle to meet.
Then we get to the moment that kickstarts this headcanon - Amity giving Hunter a hand in friendship, only for Hunter to betray her trust after he notices the titan blood key, and then threatens Luz's life in front of Amity so she could give him the titan blood key. After that, Hunter flies away with Amity having a disappointed expression on her face while she looks at him. I think some people tend to misunderstand this moment too - now, do I think Amity would trust Hunter after this? Not exactly, but that's until we get to...
3. Any Sport in A Storm & Labyrinth Runners
I'm gonna cover Any Sport in A Storm quickly since there isn't much to say, but it and Labyrinth Runners support my second major argument here; Amity doesn't have a reason to hold Hunter's past actions against him anymore. In Any Sport in A Storm, Hunter disobeys a command he was given by Darius just so he could protect his friends and fix his mistake, and at the end of the episode Willow shows Luz and Amity a group picture of the emerald entrails, ofc they see Hunter in the pic and they gasp and the episode just kinda ends after that.
Now, after Eclipse Lake, it is correct to assume that Amity wouldn't trust Hunter, though she could still heavily see herself in him and relate to his situation. But now in Any Sport, Amity is just given the information that Hunter disobeyed an order he was given and went out of his way to protect his friends, we don't know the exact conversation that happened after that moment but it's still a sign to Amity that Hunter's making a turnaround. "But Hunter kidnapped Amity's friends!" Why yes, he did, but he also went out of his way to fix his mistake and again, disobeyed an order he was given which would have risked his position in the EC. I don't think the other characters, including Amity, wouldn't factor that in. So while Amity still wouldn't fully trust Hunter - she would still see some signs that he is making a turnaround.
Then comes Labyrinth Runners. Now, I want you to pay attention to what Hunter does in this episode, because it illustrates my point of why Amity wouldn't hold any of Hunter's past actions against him anymore. In Labyrinth Runners, he...
Saves Gus from Adrian
Helps save the school
Gives clear information on what's going to happen on the day of unity
I think what Hunter does in Labyrinth Runners does make up for his past actions, which keep in mind aren't the worst things characters in this show have done (Cough Cough Lilith kidnapping and almost killing Luz in her battle with Eda Cough Cough, Amity almost getting Luz dissected Cough Cough), and so it wouldn't be out of character for Amity to trust him, especially when he saved Gus, aka, one of Amity's friends. This combined with the past stuff I mentioned about how Amity sees herself and relates to Hunter AND how Amity could just see Hunter as someone who was just lied to and manipulated by Belos which, I'm pretty sure the whole hexsquad would see him like that, means that Amity doesn't have much of a reason to be an ass to Hunter.
He's fully proved he's trustworthy, the others trust him, and so would Amity. I think it's also worth pointing out that, I don't think Amity would blame Hunter for what he did in Eclipse Lake. She knows why he did what he did, and again, she's been in the same circumstances as he was; I don't think she would blame Hunter for being desperate to gain his abusive parent's approval to meet his expectations since she was in the same position too.
So, in conclusion, Amity wouldn't hold any of Hunter's past actions against him, she doesn't have much of a reason to do so, since now he's proven himself trustworthy. However, a lot of people tend to ignore all of the stuff I just mentioned, and they create fanworks where Amity threatens Hunter in some way, which leads to a certain thing about this headcanon that pisses me off...
4. It Makes Amity into an Asshole
I think this is my biggest issue with how the fandom often characterizes Amity and Hunter's relationship; Amity just becomes an unlikeable asshole in all fanworks that spread the "Amity hates Hunter" headcanon. I am not going to name any examples here because you've probably already seen at least one fan work portraying Amity this way. Fanworks like these tend to ignore all the stuff I previously said in the last two sections and have Amity be an asshole to Hunter, which actually VERY OOC for her.
As if these works try to portray Amity as some kind of girl boss who "Is so protective of her girlfriend and will murder anyone who tries to harm her!", which is fine until you factor in all the outside context, once you do, Amity doesn't come across as a protective girlfriend in these fan works, she comes across as an asshole bullying an abusive victim when she has NO REASON to. Amity isn't a girl boss in these fanworks, she has no reason to treat Hunter like this for the reasons I already mentioned, yet people ignore ALL OF THAT in favor of Amity threatening Hunter cuz it makes her "cool" I guess.
Amity would be the first person to understand Hunter's situation and why he did what he did - she's been in the same position as him, and now, when he's proven that he's trustworthy to her, why should she be an ass to him? Do you see why it's annoying how OOC Amity is made in these fanworks? Really, this headcanon should just be called "Amity bullies Hunter" because that's what it is, Amity being an asshole to an abuse victim when she has no reason for doing so. I don't mind the idea of Amity being a protective girlfriend for Luz, it makes sense for her character, but when it comes to Hunter the fandom flanderizes it to an absurd degree.
5. Conclusion
I could talk about this longer and mention how this headcanon was basically formed from nothing but avatar comparisons and nothing else but I haven't seen Avatar yet so I can't really comment on that. Besides this post getting long enough already (I saw when I've made far longer essays on the internet). In conclusion; Amity wouldn't hate Hunter. Not in the slightest. This idea thankfully is starting to become abandoned by the fandom with more people recognizing that it is just. Does not work. And while that's nice I still kinda thought it was time for someone to fully analyze why this headcanon does not work (and that person was me babeeeeeeeey). So uh ya....bye.

initial thoughts on DCAS episode 17
Tumblr media
so it's definitely gonna be something big and flashy. i just still hope that it doesn't have any impact on who actually wins.
Tumblr media
see, the funny thing is that i genuinely don't think Derek has actually done anything wrong...? like, afaik, he wasn't trying to dismiss Trevor or belittle his feelings, he just... had a crush on Kristal and acted like it. am i misremembering something? or is Trevor just being really petty for no reason? (this isn't Trevor hate; i actually find it quite impressive that i still root for Trevor despite him like objectively being in the wrong. that's just the silly billy rizz i suppose.)
Tumblr media
"i started thinking that because of you! but, if your character ends you in a place where you do realize that what people think matters, maybe i'll believe that too, because i care what you think."
Tumblr media
this was a nice save from Connor.
Tumblr media
so the Sharma family has one daughter who's 31, and one daughter who's <18? that's a pretty big age gap (minimum 14 years), though obviously not an impossible one. i wonder if things just shook out that way, or if they aren't (fully) biologically related?
Tumblr media
what did she have against Hunter? hilarious if she only wants her bi daughter to date a women. or maybe she was just a big tessally shipper.
Tumblr media
oh this is really sad actually. wild that his parents haven't talked to him in two years, but were willing to send him a letter for the show???
Tumblr media
WHO THE FUCK IS EXCITED TO SEE YUL?????
Tumblr media
Grett is so cool.
Tumblr media
🎶Me encanta el poder y no perder--
Tumblr media
REAL ("Connor, you can't be this stupid" echoes in the background)
Tumblr media
BRO WHAT--
Tumblr media
MY FIRST INSTINCT WAS THAT SHE WAS GOING TO SNAP HIS NECK
Tumblr media
WHAT THE FUCK. okay so even a day later i am still reeling from this obviously but i do want to say that it's hilarious that Riya can get directly drop kicked by a horse so hard that it flings her like 60 ft up into the air and be completely fine, but Connor falls off of a horse and nearly gets permanently paralyzed. sucks to be an OLD MAN ig 🔥🔥🔥 (/j)
also i can't believe the break Connor's legs challenge was foreshadowing oh my god--
Tumblr media
and that was when Riya knew
she fucked up
Tumblr media
this sequence is so melodramatic it's honestly kind of hilarious. also Jake is ready to throttle a bitch.
Tumblr media
this was a really nice acting moment, even if the context surrounding it wasn't the best. although, even then, was this move even a bad writing decision? i kind of want to say it was, just because of how out of nowhere it was, but i don't think it was actually a bad choice. like, yes, i too am disappointed that they "gave Riya plot armor" in not having her eliminated this episode, because i don't really think we need to spend more time unpacking her deal.
however, if they're going to keep Riya around for another episode (or even until the finale), i think that giving her another concrete thing to be a part of is a good idea. it'll certainly keep her character memorable for several seasons to come. and, i like how this parallels her tossing Aiden off that cliff in the s2 finale! in that situation, she had just become a villain, and purposefully endangered Aiden with no remorse. this time, she's been a villain for the entire season, but is now forced into the position of hurting Connor on accident and being full of remorse for it. being a villain is exactly what people expect for her, and Riya is nothing if not what people expect. it's a real moment of facing exactly what you've become.
to be honest, even a day after watching the episode, i'm still reeling so hard from what happened that i find it difficult to parse out exactly how i feel about this episode. i may wind up changing my mind, and, who knows, i might even change my mind again after that. all i know is that. we wildin. All Stars is such a season.
Tumblr media
given how this game works, i'd honestly be more worried about her sudden athletic prowess. but, a threat's a threat either way.
Tumblr media
why did they have him say this directly before Tribal if he cast his vote on Grett? i guess it's foreshadowing for Ally being threatening later?
Tumblr media
i mean, i'm not too surprised. if it wasn't going to be Riya, it makes sense that they would eliminate Grett as the biggest threat. plus, Grett was being too obviously awesome. put her on the "best to never win" list.
Tumblr media
o7 slay queen
Tumblr media
i expect nothing less... than a Jake/Ally/Connor finale, lmao.
what an episode! i'm really glad i wasn't at all spoiled on this one, 'cause i think it was important to go in truly blind to the what-the-fuck-iness of this plot. unfortunately, with Riya still in the game (for now), i do feel like next episode's boot is going to be pretty predictable, but... i've been saying that Riya's elimination is really obvious for the past two episodes now, so, maybe i'll be wrong again!!!

Quick disclaimer, this is not an attack on anyone. I’ve had problems in the past over misunderstandings on this issue as well as my own overreactions. I am making this post purely to get my thoughts out there and prevent potential similar issues with different people in the future.
I feel like it’s necessary to get this out there before I potentially get known enough in the community for people to be asking me questions relating to it.
So I don’t like Steve shipping. You can do it if you want, I’m sick of caring about it, but please do not purposely bring it to my attention (as in directly sending me stuff relating to it, such as questions on if I support a ship, ship art, etc)
I have several reasons, which I will list. If you don’t want to know them, then just skip the rest of this post. Again, these are my own thoughts, take them with a grain of salt.
So for starters, it feels kinda weird to me. Like depending on how you look at it, you could say these guys are all related.
It was established in steve saga that creating a Steve involves removing parts of yourself. So all Steve Saga Steves are all just pieces of one guy (Origin Steve), so you could say any ship with them is selfcest
SCU characters all stem from one generation, and the way they reproduce, that being that their energy is released into the air and eventually builds up enough to condense into a new steve, means they are genetic copies of one another, meaning it could also be viewed as selfcest.
On top of that, these ships typically result in people sexualizing the characters or even writing pretty inappropriate stories involving them, which is something that Sabre/Elan himself has said he’s pretty uncomfortable with.
Even ignoring all of that, a lot of the pairs are just insanely toxic or make little to no sense from a story standpoint. Like the pairings go against the characterization to a point where they may as well just be OC’s. For example, (this is not targeted, just the easiest one for me to explain) nightmare x rainbow. Nightmare is a mass murderer who genocided the species into near extinction. Rainbow was born with the soul purpose of defeating him and has experienced Nightmare murdering several of his friends and even some people he considered family as well as dealing with nightmare trying to kill him directly. Plus, nightmare and rainbow first met when rainbow was at most a few weeks old, like the age gap is egregious.
My point is, it’s insanely out of character for these two to be paired under the circumstances of the original story, and that bothers me because my brain is basically hardwired for lore stuff. And a lot of others erase what I think are more interesting character relationships. Like we need more platonic friends, sibling bonds, mentor/mentee bonds, and stuff like that.
Oh also the ships that involve Sabre since the character is literally just the real guy if the events were non-fictional, which feels wrong because shipping real people in general is kinda weird. Idk that’s just me.
So yeah that’s my reasons for not liking Steve ships. Please do not take this personally, I am simply explaining myself and only myself. If you yourself are a shipper, please understand that this is entirely my opinion and leave it at that.
Please do not send hate to the people who do this, I’m sick of being in shipping drama.
Hopefully gonna go back to my ss rework soon so keep an eye out for that.
And, as always, have a good day/night

PLL: OS (Summer School) 2x07 thoughts
*Spoilers for 2x01-2x07 of Summer School + the trailer for the final 3 episodes.
Okay, this is it, y'all, the last chance to make any predictions! I suspect this is going to be very long.
Unfortunately I have a lot going on rn, so I'm pretty exhausted and I fear this will not be my best, but I'm going to do my best to push through the brain fog. If I struggle with expressing my thoughts, at least you'll know why.
I think, for the final analysis of the season (I will post something about 2x08, but it will probably be a much shorter post, since I don't anticipate doing much speculating [outside of loose threads]) I'm going to break things down by girl, but fully go through every character most closely linked to each girl, then move on to stuff that doesn't fit well in those categories. Okay, let's do this. I hope you're ready for overthinking. (P.S. there are weird breaks in the formatting because of tumblr's limits of how long a single block of text can be).
Faran
I'm starting with Faran because she is both my personal favorite, and because I think she may be the simplest to talk about. So while it does feel like Faran's gotten to grow this season, a lot of her story is really an internal journey for her character development, and I think a lot of it isn't super directly linked to the BR plot. Despite her character getting a lot of physically strenuous scenes, I think her confidence/emotional strength was what was really tested this season. So like I said, aside from being linked to the church through the characters outside of the girls that she interacts with the most, Faran doesn't feel super tied in to the BR motive. I've really enjoyed Faran this season (and relate to a lot of aspects of her personality), but her story does feel a bit peripheral to the main events of the season (which is fine, tying to deeply tie villain motivations back to each of the girls in this plot seems like a lot. It worked with their moms, but would be harder to do repeatedly). That being said, there are characters and plot lines attached specifically to her, so let's take a look at those.
Henry - I think he's irrelevant. He was mentioned one time this episode. I think this is just a character (or maybe more the relationship) they just wanted to cycle out. He's felt doomed (figuratively speaking) all season, and if he doesn't make any kind of appearance in 2x08, that doesn't feel like a loose thread. I've never hated or loved Henry (and I think that's a bit of the problem and the reason they've basically written him out), he's just kinda there. And now he's just kinda not there. If they have a third season, I could see him possibly making very minor appearances (depending on the availability of the actor), but it does just feel like the show is pretty done with him. Considering his connections to Kelly's church, it is possible he "sold the girls out" in some way, but that just feels unnecessarily complicated, tbqh. This is probably the last time I will talk about him at all, unless he pops up in an important way next episode.
Coach Rhodes & Stringbean - It feels like this storyline was here to close out Faran's arc of finding herself and feeling confident/comfortable in her strength, both physically and mentally. Obviously Coach Rhodes has Faran's number, and they still haven't explained the info showing up on SpookySpaghetti, but that always felt like a distraction anyway (Coach Rhodes, I mean). I'll be surprised if he has any kind of important role.
Greg - I guess it's time for me to really talk about Greg, because I've mentioned him and Faran/Greg a little over the course of the season, but mostly in passing. It now feels like it's time. Listen... Greg is (I think) in my mind benefitting massively from the fact that I didn't bother to rewatch season 1, because I don't think I have as many negative feelings about him as people who that season was fresh for. I barely remember him in season 1, so I've forgotten a lot of the stuff he said/did, so basically season 2 Greg exists in my mind by himself. BUT, please don't get me wrong, he is still annoying and problematic and I think they've rushed (and cut) key stuff they really needed for a good redemption arc for a character like him. And I do think he needs a redemption arc if they want to move forward with him as a protagonist, even a background one. In the scheme of the show, sure, Greg is probably not the literal worst (I don't think he's murdering anybody, anyway), but the show has also made him intentionally an example of toxic masculinity, misogyny, etc. etc. etc. and because the show has chosen to center a lot of these topics, then ignoring that Greg has spent the majority of his screen time as an embodiment of all those things, just having him say a few "Sorry, I'm better now," kind of lines just doesn't cut it, imo. I actually really respect the idea of taking an incredibly privileged, toxic, and even harmful character and deconstructing them, to show that it's hard and it's a process and that people can change, but it's not easy to unlearn all that stuff. It can be fascinating, and also a reminder that, as hard as it might be for us to like someone like Greg, the message that "once a shitty person, not always a shitty person," is ultimately, if executed thoughtfully, a positive. So yeah, I think that kind of storyline can be done well, but it takes time, which is something this show lacks in a lot of ways (lots of characters, lots of elements, very few episodes). Personally, I think they should have played the long game with Greg, if they really wanted to turn him into a protagonist and possible love interest. I don't know why they wouldn't, except maybe that he's going to be sacrificed to add to the body count of the finale and so they knew they didn't have time to do a developed arc with him.
Faran/Greg as a ship - If you told me I had to write a follow up to season 1 and make Greg a love interest for Faran, here's what I would have pitched- Use season 2 to show that he's questioning things and people around him (maybe we introduce his gay cousin [I know that was a Riverdale reference, but that could have been anyone] who's visiting for the summer and he's someone Greg already loves/respects who calls out his inappropriate comments and toxic masculinity). Show him listening and absorbing the thoughts/behavior of the people that he's now surrounded by (his cousin at home, Faran and Ash [and Shawn if he existed enough to be anything] at work), instead of his usual group of friends from school. Show him becoming unsatisfied and embarrassed with the way that he's been acting. Make him realize, now that he's starting to open his mind a bit, that he does really respect Faran, shown through interactions of them working together. Have them clash at the beginning of the season, but also have them talk and have friendlier moments, because they're stuck together at work and there's a lot of just sitting around, basically. Let us, the audience, watch him change, while Faran maybe doesn't see it that much, because the change is slow. If you have to have Faran/Greg "romance" in season 2, make it casual. Faran will have spent enough time with Greg by mid-season that she's friendly-ish with him, but after her breakup with Henry, she's just looking for a FWB kind of situation and, now that she's seen a slightly better side of him, she thinks Greg's kinda hot. She sees him shirtless all day, she finds that their bickering has evolved into less serious topics and now it's evolved into some sexual tension, she doesn't see him as a real romantic option, but he and Kelly are broken up (which I would have had happen earlier), so why not? Get them to a point by the end of season 2 where you've set up a "he's completely smitten with her, but she thinks it's just casual and it doesn't even occur to her they could be a real couple," dynamic for season 3. If you get a season 3, great. If you don't, that's okay, too. That way, you still get your ship in season 2 (and it's PLL, they tend to have to have their ships), but it doesn't feel entirely unsupported, and you can continue to have that relationship evolve into something deeper, OR you can have it fall apart easily, whichever direction you want to go if you get renewed because there's groundwork for either (scenario one, Faran develops feelings, scenario two, she doesn't and realizes he has and that ends things). So that would have been my pitch if you told me I have to try to make this ship work (would I have pitched this ship in the first place? no, I wouldn't have, but that won't stop me from trying to retroactively work out how it could have been handled), anyway.
As it is, I really don't get the Faran/Greg thing from a pacing/storytelling/character POV. I get the tropes that they're leaning into with this relationship. I get that there's limited time. I think I entirely get what the intent was. I just don't think they've done enough with Greg's character or his relationship with Faran to support where we are now with them. Mostly. I said last week that I thought it was good they cut the 2x06 kiss, because while I could see where they were trying to go with things, it just didn't feel like they'd managed to actually get those characters to a place where it makes sense, but now I kind of want to take that back because I think this felt even weirder? Like I don't know what was said in the 2x06 conversation that led to a kiss, or what other Faran/Greg content they might have cut from earlier in the season, but I just didn't feel like they'd had enough legitimately friendly interactions (yeah, Greg apologized to her that one time, but they've not really talked about anything of substance with each other, ever) for them to suddenly be legit hanging out and hooking up. When Greg said, "You know why," I thought to myself- Yeah, I do, but what if I didn't know about the cut kiss from 2x06 and/or I haven't been paying that much attention to the show, would I? That conversation makes a lot more sense with the context of that not being the first time they've kissed, but since that scene was cut, I guess it canonically is and hhdfjshfkjsdfs. Because romance is not central to the plot, and you have 5 main characters, this is the perfect opportunity to plan multi-season romantic arc that doesn't ruin anything if it's not resolved, and I just think they should have taken that. Y'all, I want to be very clear that my critiques of the show come from a place of fun for me. I like thinking about how things that I believe are particularly weak elements could have been different. If I weren't enjoying myself, I wouldn't be watching, and I definitely wouldn't be making posts like this. So when I say I think something is done poorly, that doesn't mean that I'm horribly upset or I don't like the show. I just like talking about what could be done better. The only time I am legitimately annoyed (and it's more frustration than anything) is when I feel like I just cannot understand what/why/how the creative decisions were made. I don't think Faran/Greg has been handled particularly well (too fast, too unsupported, not enough change on Greg's part, etc.), but I do think I understand what the intent/goal was, in this case, and so it doesn't bother me as much as it easily could.
Kelly
I'm giving Kelly her own section this time, and I think it makes sense for it to follow Faran's, since their plots are tied together this season.
Kelly's actions are quite interesting to me this episode. She seems to be genuinely investigating the Bloody Rose plot, and she seems genuinely suspicious of her mother. And also she could be dead now. (I do not think Kelly is dead, because if she is, then Faran didn't have to find her right away. I assume Faran will be able to save her, tying up the "Faran rescuing people from drowning," arc).
The question remains- is Kelly genuine? She does a lot of things in this episode that point to "she doesn't know what's going on," like calling Sandy's mom and asking where she is, questioning her mom about who she blames for Karen's death, locking her mom up and fleeing her house. All these things are consistent with actions a character would take if they don't know what's going on and are trying to find out.
My problem with this is... I think that there is a plan from the BR team (I'm calling it a team, because I think it's minimum 2 people and likely 3 or more) to frame someone (or someones) for the Bloody Rose attacks, so also all of those actions (along with a possibly faked attack intentionally witnessed by Faran) could be part of Kelly setting up her mother as a fall guy (so in this scenario, Kelly is playing out the "concerned friend & investigator" role by doing things like calling Sandy's parents to establish actions that would make her seem innocent). When you think about it, it would make sense. A lot of the BR stuff ties back to the church, which her mother has a major role in. Whoever BR is, they were able to convince people that their victims are still alive and not trigger a murder investigation or search parties. Whoever BR is, they are covering their tracks. Mrs. Beasley would be a great fall guy if Kelly were involved, and Mrs. Beasley is abusive towards Kelly, giving her motivation to frame her.
So, for that reason, I haven't cleared Kelly from my list. That being said, her behavior this episode does more likely point to her innocence, as it's a simpler explanation and allows her to stay in the show as a sometimes protagonist, sometimes antagonist. I also think this episode makes it pretty difficult to think Mrs. Beasley and Kelly are involved. If they were, a lot of their conversations don't make any sense.
However, if Kelly is involved, I can't help but wonder if her BR attack was staged (I mean, she may really be injured à la Billy and Stu) because she was tipped off about the girls beginning to close in a bit by Faran's conversation with her. She could also be pissed at Faran for her thing with Greg (though since the show seems to have cut a lot of that, it's probably not that important to the plot) if she somehow found out about that.
Mrs. Beasley is obviously incredibly suspicious at this point, but since PLL properties favor twist villains, she may very well be too suspicious. She blames the girls for what happened to Karen (and what warped thinking, that this happened to Karen because of the video is. Ma'am Karen's doom did not start with a video, it started when your husband r**ed Angela), which is certainly motive. She also specifically ties Karen's death to The Orpheum, which is another arrow pointing at Tabby's storyline. Anyway, obviously she's growing roses (but literally anybody could go cut some) and she's connected to the church and we know she's hurting Kelly, so... But those reveals are all pre-finale, and also all of those things would be a great way to frame her.
The timing of Kelly's attack is difficult to pinpoint. It looked like it was daylight when she locked Mrs. Beasley up, and Kelly is attacked after dark. It's not totally clear, but I think the only side characters with alibis during this particular attack are (actual Rose, Mouse's grandmother, Shawn, & Greg). Since I believe that there may be multiple people dressing up as Bloody Rose, this isn't really helpful. (Finally a BR attack where it seems like Shawn has an alibi, though).
Mouse
This is probably going to be a pretty short section, since Mouse doesn't have a ton going on, though there are some interesting implications in her story this episode.
So... how did Mouse get exposed on SpookySpaghetti? It still feels like there's someone with inside info on the girls (phone numbers, their redemption house info, now this), but as far as we know the only character who knows Mouse made the Angela video is Ash. Are we supposed to believe people just recognized her/her voice (which tbf, was not particularly disguised)? Or was the laptop she was brought a trap? (or even if it wasn't, could someone have remote access to Mouse's computers?) Is someone tracking her digital info, and possibly even watching her through her webcams? It's interesting because we've only seen this happen once, but Mouse accepted that video chat with Bloody Rose, so could the point of that have been for Rose to gain access to her computer? That's never come back around.
Speaking of Mouse's computer, we did meet her "computer teacher" this episode, and he is clearly a character who would be capable of all that, but it feels waaaay too late for an important introduction.
Ash - Again, I don't have a lot to say here. The fact that he knew about the Angela video does look not great for him, particularly with the leaked phone numbers, since he's someone who probably had all the new numbers at that point. The girls say they didn't give the numbers to anyone, but I think they mean new people, because they were all still talking to their boyfriends, so I assume they were excluding people they really trust. But... I just don't see how Ash fits in as a good villain for this season. He's been very background and the biggest part of his story is Pride vs Hell House, and that just feels really genuine. He's nowhere near the top of my predictions.
Mouse's Grandmother & Rose - I am glad that this plot point is going to get addressed to some degree, because I've been wondering why they had Rose jump off of a bridge. It would have been really easy to just have her be unwilling to speak to the girls or not coherent when they found her. Whether or not she actually is Rose Waters, and what her connection to stuff might be, does still feel like it needs to be resolved. I don't have much new to say about Mouse's grandmother. I suppose she might have known Rose back in the day, since her daughter obviously knew Angela.
Imogen
There are a few elements to Imogen's storyline this season that need to be addressed in the finale, the most obvious being if BR is pretending to be her mother and why.
I still think we're building to Imogen stabbing someone (quite probably Johnny), just not sure whether that's going to be a hallucination, a bad guy, accidentally a good guy, etc. I don't think the fact that she's had two meltdowns where she's grabbed knives and Johnny has talked her down from both of them is in any way an accident (rule of threes).
I'm still unsure why they introduced Rebecca, when it's had absolutely nothing to do with anything (I guess it's informed Imogen's mental state and kept her relationship with her mother at the surface). I just don't see how they tie it in with any sort of satisfaction because we've literally met this character one time.
In general, I'm honestly really not sure how Davie ties in to everything, unless she doesn't, really, but it's part of the storyline BR is crafting for a film or something.
Johnny - He's continued to be super chill about all the stuff Imogen is throwing at him. Out of the three new love interests, he is the least developed, which I think makes him the least likely to have a big twist reveal (though I do have a theory that includes him, but we'll get to that later because there's a lot of other stuff I need to bring up first), but that shot of what appears to be Imogen dragging his body across the creamery floor is something. I've thought it is most likely a nightmare that she has (because if he was revealed as a villain and killed or injured, why would she need to move his body? Surely under those circumstances she'd just call 911, like do we think Imogen is going to hide a body this season???), but I also kind of expected it to be in tonight's episode. I think I also instinctively discredit it a bit because if it is real & what it looks like, that feels very spoilery and I would never put something key like that in a trailer, but also sometimes they really do put stuff in a trailer that you probably shouldn't. Since I have no new information on his character, this is about all I've got for you on this one.
Imogen/Johnny - Johnny has one point in his favor with me, and it's a small point, which is that he got the 2x06 Greg treatment this episode, AKA they gave him a shot were Imogen leaves and then he's all smiling and smitten. There's literally no one there to see it. But I only give that a tiny bit of weight because it could just be editing. The choice to linger on him in this moment feels weird if he's going to be evil, but weird choices happen sometimes. It also makes me very nervous that Imogen keeps talking about how safe she feels with Johnny. That seems like terrible foreshadowing. I just really want Imogen to not have to relive the trauma of dating people who have literally always had an ulterior motive.
Small note, but- "Stop analyzing me." Imogen, I love you, but do you know what a therapist is for?
Dr. Sullivan - Okay, this is still a big thing, even though we got some kind of explanation out of her in this episode. It's hard to know how honest she's being. Even without her vanishing and the rose petals appearing, her past with this situation didn't feel resolved. Archie murdering her son for revenge against Dr. Sullivan for simply not reporting his situation doesn't totally line up to me. Like I get that she should have done something, but he had apparently already escaped at that point, so... She's from Millwood. Did she know the girl's moms? Did she know Davie? We know she knew Rose. Also Imogen couldn't find anything about her son online. He has a gravestone, so it feels like he's real (though she could have scouted the cemetery and found a Sullivan and then used that person's first name in her explanation to Imogen), so that makes me question if Dr. Sullivan is Dr. Sullivan. I mean, I know that Dr. Sullivan is a character from the original and she is definitely actually Dr. Sullivan, but with all the theories around twins, could she actually be Dr. Sullivan's twin, impersonating her to gain access to the girls (would also explain why she was so willing to risk her license by recording the girls without their consent)? But that feels overly complicated, too.
Obviously Imogen has that dream where Dr. Sullivan is BR and impersonating her mother. But Imogen's story is so intertwined with motherhood, she clearly spends part of the season looking up to Dr. Sullivan as a kind of stand-in mother figure, and Dr. Sullivan and Davie do look a little alike. This is clearly unresolved, but I'm conflicted in where I think it's going. It could be more about Imogen's personal journey, and I would probably assume that if BR hadn't (probably, we didn't actually see it) been wearing a Davie mask.
Dr. Sullivan's flashback scenes were weird, like tv (or film) recreations, rather than legit flashbacks (another SpookySpaghetti film? Or possibly the movie BR might be making?) and what was with Archie's mask in the flashback??? That looked like a Christian monster mask, rather than the A mask we're used to seeing. That's another reason I wonder if the "flashback" might be a dramatized recreation for the film. And is that supposed to be Archie's "real" face?
I still haven't forgotten that someone pushed her down the stairs (according to her) and we've just avoided bringing that up again.
"Something about Rose compelled me," is a very interesting wording. It's also very "The power of Christ compels you!" feeling.
And then, obviously, she disappears and the rose petals are left behind. So presumably she's either been kidnapped by BR or she's in on it. I'm still very conflicted about this character.
Noa
Here we are again. That's it.
Okay, no, I'm actually going to talk about it. I'm not going to continue to go on about all the stuff leading up to this episode because I have discussed it in length in previous posts. Yes, I'm still frustrated with this storyline, and yes, that's still mostly because I cannot figure out what the show is trying to say/do here. Either Noa is getting set up for a big fall/surprise, or they genuinely didn't see how this arc was going to be received. It's one or the other.
While I can understand why Noa would feel so connected to Jen and why she might grow apart from Shawn and why this love triangle situation happened in the first place, what I struggle to understand (from a character perspective) is how she'll go from casually discussing the fact that she's been cheating on Shawn (those are her own words, it's not like she's in denial about her actions), then crying and seemingly genuinely feeling guilty, but then she'll turn around and think she's justified in smashing up his car because... he was angry at her and Jen for their affair?
Characters respond to things emotionally, and I do think Noa is someone who operates on her gut instincts, rather than spending a lot of time thinking things through, but what in holy hell was she thinking? Of course he's gonna be really pissed, Noa. You cheated on him (and it's not even addressed if he's aware this happened while she was in juvie, too), literally moved the person you're cheating with into your house under his nose, asked him for 2k to bail out the person you're cheating with, continued to instigate a sexual relationship with him instead of breaking things off, didn't actually do anything when the person you're cheating with literally robbed his own house (which he may also still not know), then dumped him without even being honest about why. But he's the bad guy because... he yelled at the person you were cheating with a put a hole in the wall? Wild. And like... listen, someone putting a hole in the wall in anger is a red flag to me (irl), but considering the circumstances and his lack of a history of violence, if we are supposed to think this in any way warrants Noa then smashing his car (which like... at least equally big red flag irl as punching a wall) then I don't get it.
So that brings me to the fact that I'm not convinced Shawn actually did damage the wall (he does not specifically deny this when confronted, but he's also a little distracted by the fact that his ex is smashing out his car windows). I mean, who the hell knows? We literally only have Jen's version of events and she's got a history of lying and twisting situations around to suit her ends. We also don't know what her reaction to being confronted by Shawn was. Her pattern in confrontation that we've witnessed is to get angry and accusatory with the person confronting her. She also basically taunted Shawn to his face with the comment about not getting much sleep, so why would I believe she didn't intentionally escalate that situation as well? She hardly seems like a character who would sit there and be all shaken up by it.
All that being said, if Jen is going to get majorly exposed as a villain, then this storyline will make a lot more sense to me. I'm frustrated with this storyline because I feel like I don't feel the emotions they imply we should with things like the cinematography, lighting, music, editing, etc. but if that is an intentionally contradictory choice, then that removes my frustrations. I mean, it's still a trope I don't particularly enjoy the journey of, but at least it will have been on purpose. And that's the thing I've been asking myself this season, is this on purpose? If it is, then great. It's not my kind of storyline, considering I really dislike love triangles, but they did what they wanted to do. If it's not, then someone missed the mark big time.
I'm going to discuss Jen further in a later section, so I'm not going to give her character too much attention here, but I do have one thing-
"Some lies are helpful," 👀 okay, Jen, are we gonna find out about yours? Is this going to be a "Well, yeah, I originally came here for nefarious purposes, but now I actually love you, so it's all good, right?" type of thing?
Shawn - If he's not a villain, then sorry bro, this has been a rough season for you.
Tabby
We've made it to Tabby! Our ultimate final Final Girl of season 2! At this point, it very much does seem like Tabby is at the absolute center of all this (which is why I am the most suspicious of characters directly tied to her) and that probably means some really not fun things in store for her in the finale.
We already know (from the trailer) that she's going to fall down the steps at Christian's house. She's also MIA from the riot at the Orpheum scenes (Riot At The Orpheum sounds like a PATD cover band or something, lol), so I think she's getting a lot of solo screen time in the finale.
This may not matter, but I wanted to note it here that Wes calls the owner of the movie theater "Mrs. Orpheum," which stuck out strangely to me. "The Orpheum" is a super common theatre name, so I have to assume this is a nickname (and not her actual name) Wes is using to refer to their boss, so then... considering how much is centered around Tabby this season, who actually owns the theater? And could they be behind the LLC that turned Imogen's house into Redemption House? Clearly whoever owns this place has a ridiculous amount of money, considering they're running a 35 mm capable theater that appears to have practically no customers.
Wes - So. Yeah. How likely do we think it is that Wes is dead now? Or at least kidnapped? His storyline is clearly completely unresolved (masks in his apartment, mysteriously missing for days, no BR attack alibis, his relationship with the film festival stuff, etc.) and he pretty much either has to be evil or is being framed. Him suddenly moving away (I mean, I don't think he's gone, but he did clearly tell Tabby he was leaving, so it's not like that was entirely fabricated) makes me wonder (assuming he's not BR) if he's been threatened to do so somehow. I also have no idea how Tabby is not suspicious of him. He's been acting weird, you have no idea where he is most of the time, you know he's a total asshole, and you found masks at his place and evidence he was using SpookySpaghetti, but he's not on your BR suspect list??? He's ridiculously suspicious! So suspicious, in fact, that it makes me slightly less suspicious of him. But the fact that no one has brought him up as a suspect circles me back around to being super suspicious of him again. While I'm considering some other options heading into the finale, if he were behind BR (though it has to be more than one person, imo) I wouldn't be shocked. He certainly has potential motive (I mean, if you're a terrible, terrible human being, which he is) with his film storyline and his "things are so hard for straight white men these days," mentality. I just don't love this theory as much as I did before the show started pointing at him so hard.
Mrs. Langsberry - I don't think I need to talk much about this. If she is part of the BR plot, we all know why. She has also been confirmed as a member of Kelly's church, so she does have links there, and it seems like someone on the BR team must be directly involved with the church.
Christian - I didn't want to be so suspicious of him, but we're here now. Also, Tabby, I love you, but someone is dressing up in special effects makeup and masks, both a horror mask and a hyper realistic one (we think) and your response is, "I'll ask Christian if he knows anybody," with absolutely no suspicion of him?? Like, WHAT??? And then you spent the night at his house??? I absolutely could not sleep in a house I knew had all those terrifying masks in the basement, particularly if someone was dressing up in masks and trying to kill me and friends?? I also think we spend a lot of time with Christian this season (without learning much about his past or him having his own separate arc), which makes sense if Tabby's the center of the story, but also if Tabby is the center of the story, then the villains are more likely to be directly connected to her. I also wondered why Tabby didn't question Christian suggesting they leave town together (don't you think some parents might have some opinions on this?), and because I am very suspicious of anyone the girls are not suspicious of, it made me think, "Are you trying to set up a situation where people won't think to miss her right away?" Like with Sandy or Pastor Malachi.
When Tabby asked Christian if he would help her make her movie, I thought, if he is part of the BR plot, and if that plot does involve making a movie, wouldn't it be absolutely wild if he responded to this with, "Already done." (like saying it in a friendly, 'of course' kind of way, but then meaning it literally). I feel like that's the exact kind of fun/silly thing this show would do. And if he's not involved, what a missed opportunity to creep your audience out and make them spiral (but I'm doing that anyway, so) about his character.
I want to be super fair, since I just wondered how Tabby is not suspicious of Christian and how she felt comfortable staying at his house (also where are anyone's parents? Like at least with Noa we understand why there's no parental supervision, but everyone else just stays over at their SOs place anyway?? this is one of those things I just have to not think too hard about because I don't think there is a good explanation), all of that applies to Imogen with Johnny and Noa with Jen, as well.
While horror has always been referenced in this show, it really does feel like horror films are making a huge appearance in different ways, and it just feels fitting for this to be Tabby-centric.
Speculation & More
With the "trio of villains" imagery on the poster (that has literally predicted the first 4 tests, so seems very relevant), I can't help but wonder if it could be as simple as all 3 of the new love interests. Johnny, Christian, Jen, all in it together. They're all new in town and we haven't met any of their family, so they're all pretty mysterious. I have at least one big thing about each of them that bothers me.
With Johnny it's simply those shots from the trailer (well, plus my incredibly far fetched theories about set decor and his line about his dad, but I wouldn't call either of those things compelling evidence), which make it seem like he may die in the finale (or at least be incapacitated), and since it seems to be Imogen that is possibly trying to cover that up, that doesn't bode well for his innocence. I can't think of anything that's been mentioned about him that would indicate motive, so I would have to assume that he's related to someone (like Chip) and has a revenge motive. But the shots from the trailer could still all be a dream.
With Jen it's the contradictory ways they've portrayed her storyline with Noa, and the fact that we know that we cannot assume she's being honest. It's not been specifically brought up a lot, but she could easily have a financial motive to be involved. Her stealing has been a consistent part of her character, and she says this is because she and her mom need the money. I don't know whether or not to believe that, but regardless of why she needs/wants money, it seems pretty clear she is a character who could be tied to the events of the season for financial gain (or it started that way and she regrets it, but is in too deep). It's also possible production just didn't realize how unpopular this love triangle would be (but it's hard to imagine, when they were emphasizing how loving/trusting Shawn is all season, like it feels very intentional, but then sometimes it doesn't) and the contradictory tone is not intentional.
With Christian it's his special abilities (horror makeup), the fact that he fits well into the "someone is making a movie" theory, and that he's directly tied to Tabby this season. His motive would presumably be film related (though there could be a personal element as well, since we know basically nothing about his past). But he could be a red herring or a fall guy.
Anyway, my problem with these three as a trio of villains is that it doesn't obviously connect back to the church in any way that I can think of, and I think it needs to. I guess all three of them could be supporting villains with someone else as "Rose," or maybe only one or two of them are involved.
Another consideration is that any of the love interests could be secondary antagonists, not in on the BR plot (or aided it without realizing how serious it was) and they will have a separate villain reveal (like Chip last season).
I certainly haven't forgotten about the online faction of the BR cult, particularly since it looks like they're rioting next episode (The Reckoning?), but how specifically they tie in, I don't feel confident in predicting. If the film theory is true, then I suppose their purpose could be to provide a "grand finale" for the film. I mean, it's kind of hard to get extras when your film is also an actual murder project, so brainwashing people into creating a big action sequence for you is the next best thing, I guess.
Dr. Sullivan's past just really feels like it also needs to come back around and be resolved, and I keep forgetting about the fact that she vanishes in this episode because I'm thinking about so many other things.
I'm bothered that I don't feel confident about where they're going with the Davie stuff.
I am putting a certain amount of faith in the show that they heard the criticisms of season 1 and the villain reveals will be characters we've spent a lot more time with. They have seemed to take other feedback (like the Ezra thing) and apply it to season 2, so I'm hoping this is the case for this, as well.
Anyway, I think this is all I've got right now. If you're still reading, thanks for sticking with me! I know this was a long one. I probably didn't need a whole "if they had to have Faran & Greg as a couple, here's how I would have done it," section, but Faran is my favorite and I've criticized Noa & Jen loads this season, so I gotta be fair and call it like I see it. If I think of anything else, I'll do a part 2, because this post is clearly long enough.
EDIT:
This literally doesn't matter, but I forgot to mention it & didn't want to make a whole new post about it, but I just now noticed Christian's movie on his name tag is Attack the Block, which is a absolutely ridiculous, underrated film, imo.
CLARIFICATION: I called all of the 3 new love interests "new in town," but I'm not sure that's really accurate. Christian is new in town, Jen (I think) lives elsewhere but reasonably near by because she mentions having to come to Millwood for summer school and clearly does not usually attend their school, and Johnny we really don't know. I didn't get the impression that he's recently moved like Christian, but we don't know where his house is, and none of the girls seemed familiar with him (and Millwood seems pretty small) and he mentions Rosewood when he's asking that girl out, so I kinda assumed he might be more from the Rosewood area. Anyway, "new in town" might only technically apply to Christian, but the point that all their pasts are pretty unknown still stands.

tag system below! any other info you need is in my description.
#existenceunrelateds - posts not directly related to the Owl House (most content lately)
#reblog - my reblogs. used in conjunction with other tags.
#re: tags or #re: prev - I'm responding to the tags from the previous reblog. Open their reblog to see what I'm responding to. Also, if a tag is prefaced by ←, that means all the previous tags are from the prev reblog, and all tags following it are mine. I may on occasion forgo the previous tags altogether, and if so, just hit previous reblog. If there are two, prev also uses this system.
#nutdealer posting - posts about or relating to undertale or deltarune, cuz my brain decided it wants to fixate on those. Dw, toh's staying, they just share room in my head, and the nutdealers are taking priority. This tag will not be used in conjunction with #existenceunrelateds, so if you only want owl house content, you can block both. I just don't want to complicate things for myself
#existence is unhealthily obsessed with queso - I rate queso for some reason. Mostly going to be chains within just Florida, or southeastern USA.
#cephaloposting - I just HAAAD to go out and learn splatoon lore and now I'm in fairly deep. tag works the same as nutdealer posting, pearlina is adorable, I'm team Callie, Order and Future, and if Frye doesn't get another win before the game stops having splatfests I'm gonna be pissed. that being said, I like bread best
#carbohydrate before you carbodiedrate - my new mutual/shenanigannery tag. don't ask. I'll almost definitely forget this a ton, so a general rule is if I'm reblogging to talk to mutuals or other people a lot within a short period of time, it'll be there. or if i'm replying repeatedly in the tags. or if spectator brings up bread again.
#negative - this one's been in effect for some time, but it was infrequent enough that I didn't think of adding it. This is not necessarily ANY negative post, more posts that could seriously affect someone reading them. Because of this, a good chunk of Palestine-related posts are tagged with it. Not all of them, though, only the emotionally devastating ones.
#personal shit - Personal shit. Usually doesn't apply to the occasional vaguepost or question, more complaining about situations happening in real life or asking for advice.
#geek figuring stuff out - I'm still pretty young. I won't tell you how young, but young enough that I don't know myself all too well. This tag may contain Gender Confusion, Romance Confusion (Or Lack Thereof), Sexuality Confusion (Or Lack Thereof (??)), Inability To Visualize Confusion (See: Aphantasia), and Medical Confusion (Dehydration, Malnourishment, and More!). Additionally, this is where most nsfw content will go, if it's not body positivity or sex ed. Or me reblogging thirst traps for my lesbian followers.
alright so I'm entrenched in undertale and deltarune, which means I also tend to get homestuck content. I have no idea what the fuck homestuck is about but I know a lot of people love it and a lot of people hate it, so I jokingly tag any posts relating to homestuck with #cw homestuck. this is a joke and not intending to belittle any homestuck fans- I'm an undertale fan, I can't judge.
speaking of, any time I'm tagging posts with warning, I'll usually do two to four variations on #cw [xyz thing here]. I use cw much more often than tw, since it feels more inclusive to any reasons one might not want certain content on their dash. make sure if you've blocked the tw version of the tag, block the cw version as well.
Tumblr media
Regarding accessibility and related things, I try to alt any image I post that is more than like. a cat photo for just my mutuals to see. If you would like me to add an alt to any of my posts, just ask!
I also tend to mess around with unicode a lot, to make fun emoticons or ᵗⁱⁿʸ ᵗᵉˣᵗ (plaintext: tiny text). I'm guessing screenreaders don't appreciate that, so I can plaintext my posts for you if you'd like. Usually these things will be in my tags, though, so it's not too important.
Related: If you notice I've somehow typed a comma in my tags, it's not magic, it's unicode! There's a unicode character called single low-9 quotation mark (U+201A) that displays like this:
It looks exactly like a comma, and it works in tags! Feel free to copy and paste at your leisure, or add it to a keyboard shortcut like I did.
also sometimes I'll use whitespace characters to fine-tune spacing in my posts, for example to make italics look better than whatever tumblr's got going on. for example:
uncorrected: I don't like this (space between don't and like is too short, between I and don't too long)
corrected: I don't  like this (using varied lengths of whitespace characters, spacing is fixed)
tell me if that fucks anything up

If you have the time, May I request the Danganronpa 2 casts reaction to finding out that their darling has autism or is somewhere on the spectrum (whether by being told directly or by stalking them) and the steps they'd take, if any, to meet their needs?
Yandere Reaction: Danganronpa 2 casts reaction to finding out that their darling has autism
I'm sorry this took so long and if anything is wrong let me know and I'll fix it.
Hajime Hinata:
He will ask his darling about all those little “quirks'' he has noticed about them. Which will lead into a conversation and looking up about autism. So, with Hajime it will be a lot of learning along the way as well as looking up anything else he thinks he will need to know. He is curious about the textures his darling finds good and bad (why do they like one over the other for example.)
Nagito Komaeda:
He mostly learned about it because of his luck. Being in the right place to over hear them talk about it or finding something that hints at it (Ex: paperwork). He will want them to tell him about it mostly because it’s a chance to not only get close to them but learn more about them as well. Of course, he will look up anything he needs but for the most part it will all come from his darling. He loves hearing their voice no matter what it is they’re talking about so anytime they want to talk about something they’re fixated on he is all ears.
Gundham Tanaka:
After a while he’s just going to ask them about it when he starts to notice all their habits. After a very long talk and some research on his own he will try to put it into practice whenever his darling needs help. If they already know what their routine and preferences are, then the only time he will assist them is if they ask him. If they are still going through what they like or don’t then he will be more hands on.
Kazuichi Soda:
In all honesty his darling is going to have to be the one that not only tells him that they are autistic but also must explain all that they know about it or help him learn more about it. As time goes on he will get to know what sounds and foods they like most vs what they don't like/hate and the reason (texture, too loud etc.) he will have to get use to any stimming they may do and as long as it isn't a dangerous one (head banging, biting etc.) he won't stop them or even change it.
Teruteru Hanamura:
They either told him or he overheard them either way he will get right to work. He may be a bit of a mess with some preferences they have or some events but what he will never get wrong is their food preferences. He just needs some time to get used to learning more about anything else that isn’t food related.
Nekomaru Nidai:
Another one who only sees what they do as their own “quirks” until his darling sits him down and explains to him about it and about their preferences. Now he will be hands off unless they tell him that they need help from him or he will learn that certain cues mean that they need help. However, it’s a different case once someone starts getting in their face about something that they do in which case he’ll always come to their defense immediately only after they either try to do it themselves or it becomes too much.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:
He found out when he was in the “trying to learn everything he can about them” phase birthday, favorites, security codes for any alarms they may have just the simple just. It's going to take him a little bit to understand what autism is and what his darling may need. Once he feels like he has the knowledge necessary is when he tries to get close to his darling. However, learning something and doing it are two different things so there will be some ups and downs but he is trying his best for his darling. He also makes them a sort of “safe room” a place where they can go whenever they want that is always filled with whatever they may have fixated on at the time.
Byakuya Twogami:
They found out while looking into their darling. They let their darling do their own thing if there is no harm being done (harmful stimming.) They know that their darling has dealt with this for a long time and has figured out themselves about what they need. Of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll be totally on the sidelines; they'll be there if they just need someone to listen to or just need some support.
Akane Owari:
Her darling must explain to her in detail but will start to get it. It will however take some time for her to get used to any routines they have or their food preference. Anything they get into she will too and when it comes to the stimming, she will just watch them to make sure nothing happens.
Chiaki Nanami:
Her darling told her after some time. She is another one that's hands off but she has learned that some acts or mannerisms are a hint that her darling likes or dislikes something without them really having to say anything or if they just need help with going out. Basically, she is there if they need her for anything or nothing.
Sonia Nevermind:
She found out after paying someone to get a hold of their records and now with this knowledge she will make the perfect place for her darling although this would include breaking whatever routine they already had and kind of making a new one or at least a similar one after they get used to the new place. She always has whatever food they like the most on hand as well as whatever It is they are enjoying now. They will want for nothing since whatever they want, she can get with no questions asked this includes any help they may need to continue or start like therapy.
Hiyoko Saionji:
She tries her best for her darling but 40% of the time it doesn't exactly work out. Sometimes she will forget what textures her darling prefers or forgets what they like at the time. It may seem like little things but they are big for her. Which could lead to her lashing out at her darling for her own frustrations. She does try to make up for it after.
Ibuki Mioda:
She either overheard it or her darling told her. 90% of the time she does a good job with whatever her darling needs from her however the other 10% is either her accidentally messing up the routine, being too loud, or making/getting food that’s not at all what they want but she’s trying. There is also a big chance that whatever her darling is fixated on she will become fixated as well.
Mahiru Koizumi:
She learned it by talking with her darling. In her case she is one of the ones that could manage to get her darling to tell her anything and everything even if it’s just a hint at something so that’s how she learned about their autism. She will learn all she needs to know from her darling and on her own. She will try the best she can to support them in any way that they need her to. Even if it's just to be there to listen to whatever they like now, trying to find new foods that fit their criteria or just make sure their routine doesn’t get interrupted most.
Mikan Tsumiki:
One of the first things she does is investigate her darling's medical history to see how helpful she can be to them or possibly to them. There’s a chance she already knows the basics about neurological developmental but knowing which one pins down which one she needs to study up on the most. That isn’t to say she won’t learn about the others, just this one first. with that and her already existing skills she is the perfect caregiver for her darling if that is someone they need if not then they have her full support regardless.
Peko Pekoyama:
She learned while “studying" and from there she asked them questions about if they like this or that. From what they gave her and from what she looked up she is confident that she can now be what they need her to be or do. Helping them with any medicine they take, keeping away unwanted foods or sounds, making sure their stimming isn’t harmful and helping with social events. She may never do it sometimes and will try to back off if her darling tells her to.

LOVE OF THE ENDLESS (FINALE)
Tumblr media
It took her a lot of focus and yet Love could feel the darkness invading her beautiful realm. The colours were dying, the breeze was too cold and there was barely any light. The threads were corrupted, most of them going from love to hate.
- My dear Flavia, have I told you the tale of Delight of the Endless? – Y/N was sitting at her throne, her dove on the top of it, just watching without knowing what to do. – She was my sister, still is. We do not speak of it, but she is now not what she once was. We were all born with a purpose, that’s the sole reason for us to even exist. The Endless are here for mortals, without you there’s no reason to…be here. Yet in some rare circumstances this purpose may change, Delight became Delirium. I guess you all needed more her that way or perhaps it was always meant to be.
- Why are you telling me this now?
- Oh, my friend, look around. I am trying to not let it show, but my beautiful Akai Ito is me just as I am it, we are one and the same and it knows how I feel. It won’t be long until it’s all just darkness and sadness. I wonder…who will I be? I was born as Love and it’s all I’ve even known, will I remember…me? – she patted the bird’s head. – Do not fret, I will make sure nothing happens to you or any of the other doves. You, more than any other Endless, are my family and I shall not forget it. – Y/N could feel the darkness creeping around her, trying to engulf her and she was too tired to fight back. She felt the warmth of her dove against her cheek.
- We will be together until the very end, Y/N.
- Until the very end. – the Endless closed her eyes and waited for it, no matter what would happen to her she was ready to face the consequences of her actions. Yet, instead of feeling the cold of the darkness it was a warm feeling that engulfed her. When she opened her eyes what she saw was a ball of light and a woman came from inside of it. It wasn’t an angel or anything she ever know, but it must be strong to enter her realm after she put it in exile. – Who are you? – as the woman, if it really was a woman, came closer she could see that she irradiated power, but Love could still feel safe at her presence.
- I am the reason for your existence, little one. I am there at the beginning and at the end. I was there long before Night and Time. Each one of you Endless may not be related directly from me, but if your purpose came from me and mine. You, especially, my child, were made with passion and hope for what is humanity without love? What is the meaning of life if you cannot feel the joy of love?
- The Creator. You are the Creator, but…I do not understand. – not even her brother, Destiny, knew the Creator, but here she was and her realm as loving the visitor. – Are you here to punish me? I am deeply sorry for what I did, I know Dream of the Endless is my brother and my…relationship, even if one sided, was wrong from the beginning. I accept whatever you wish to do with me, but please spare my doves, they don’t deserve to be punished for my mistakes, and neither does humanity.  I exiled myself thinking it would help ease the pain and move on, but I am only destroying Akai Ito.
- Oh, my dear. I feel your pain, but it is not for punishment that I am here. You, from all of your family, is the one with the purpose that I most cherish. Love is everything, you are everything. Nothing can exist without you, Love of the Endless.
- I can’t. – the tears she was holding now were free going down her face. – It hurts so much, I just want it to stop. It is ruining everything, they do not feel love anymore only hate and it is my fault. I failed them, I failed you.
- You have never once failed me, Y/N. Never apologize for being you, love is never wrong. Dreams and love often walk together side by side, why would it be different with you two?
- But he only causes me pain.
- And much like with dreams, pain and love also tend to walk together. To love is to open your heart for the good and the bad. I tell you this fully knowing that it is already your knowledge, after all you are Love of the Endless since the beginning. – the Creator took hold of Y/N’s thread. – But you are right, humanity is suffering because of your love for Dream, and we have little time to remediate it. I am afraid it is necessary to take drastic actions but know that I believe in you and in the love that you feel. Do not fear, Y/N. – Love could feel the power invading her thread, it was like every piece of her was on fire. It took so song but yet it happen very fast, the Endless saw right before her eyes her thread vanish like it was nothing. The ache was still there, but it was no longer affecting her realm like before. With one last smile just as she came the Creator left Akai Ito, leaving Love to understand everything. She no longer had a soulmate, but she had a purpose and this time it would be fulfilled.
- Oh, well. – she stood up from her throne and smiled at Flavia, who was still at her shoulder. – There is much to restore and even more to improve. I believe that a few more years and I will be good as new, without the thread I can and will get over this. – using her powers each thread started to glow and mend themselves and become what they once were. They were even more beautiful than before, the colours even brighter and she could feel their love. It was perfect or as much perfect as it could be at the moment.
- Does the other side of the thread feel it? The fact that it’s…gone?
- Dream is aware of the fact, surely, he felt it too, but I cannot confirm exactly how it was for him. He must be happy for now he can go after whoever he wishes, it was what Morpheus always wanted. Deep down I know this is good, fate even in love is a tricky thing. Bad things happen when you try to go against your thread and Orpheus is the living proof of that.
- Orpheus?
- Yes, Dream’s son with Calliope. He went against his thread with me and the consequences were laid upon the boy. I repaired the mistakes made because of me. Without their knowledge I went after Orpheus and offered him a way out of his torment. He was one of my doves for a long time, but when his beloved reincarnated, he went back to earth reborn as a human.
- Is that what will happen to me?
- If it is your wish, but when Guilherme’s soul leave that plane, you can choose to follow him to the unknow or wait until he is back on the waking world to join him. Unlike you, Orpheus didn’t have this choice for his soulmate was already beyond his reach.
- The Creator was right, without you we are nothing. Thank you, Y/N…for everything. – Love continued her job, fixing everything that needed, with her loyal dove at her side.
Far away from Akai Ito, the lord of dreams and nightmares was seeking his soulmate everywhere, going from each kingdom of his siblings to the waking world. Many thought that with the end of their thread he would look for another lover and be happy about it, but his promises to Love weren’t empty. There were no doves and with no thread how could he ever locate her? It sounded impossible, but for her…for her he would raise hell if necessary. Dream was known as the kind of lover who went big at every relationship, and they weren’t even the real thing for him, now with Y/N? With her he would do anything for their happiness. His mind, his body, his soul it all belonged to her and until Morpheus could have her in his arms once more he was just empty. The Dreaming was too very gloomy, they were one too and because of that the realm missed Love as much as Dream did. Days turned into weeks, then months and years, anyone else would’ve lost hope but if there was one thing that would never leave the Endless was hope…and love. He searched and searched, never stopping, and never wanting to. He did in fact continued with his duties at the Dreaming and occasionally visiting his friend Hob at the waking world. Today was one of the days they would reunite at The New Inn, as much as Morpheus was happy for his friend, he could only think about who he missed the most. While he was passing by the park a strange feeling grew inside him, a feeling the dream lord knew but haven’t felt for years. The pull was strong, stronger than it ever was, and Morpheus looked around trying to find the source of it. He saw her before she saw him, this time the universe wasn’t tricking him, it was her. And this time not only Dream could feel it but he could also see as a golden thread was remade, linking the two lovers once more.
- Y/N… - he smiled for the first time in a long time. There was a long way to go before they could heal their relationship, but he was ready to fight for her...for them. This time it was not only a thread linking them, it was also a choice. And finally, it was over. They could be happy once and for all.

i kind of hate the systems i have around posting. checking every single note i get takes up so much time when a post becomes popular. i can't post anything new until i sort through all of that or the traffic dies down. i have to post asks in chronological order, so if i haven't finished the first one i can't go to another. i'm incredibly lucky i managed to get out of the habit of not doing anything except write until i finished my responses. i used to feel the need to get everything out asap to match the submission date as closely as possible, despite saving it in a separate location regardless.
my darling has criticised me for these things before and i have to agree with her. it's compulsive and unproductive. it's unnecessary stress to have these rigid rules. i want to try breaking away from this but it's been so ingrained for the past few years. it's how i've always used tumblr. other sites as well, but the extent is not nearly as drastic. so much of my day to day is simply arbitrary routines that i've imposed upon myself. it's difficult to break out of because whenever i don't fulfil these obligations it's like the world is falling apart. i've damaged a fragile ecosystem and there's no way it could ever recover from any slip-up, right?
this is such a huge reason that stalking got so out of hand before. it became a lineup of tasks, done a certain way, done a certain order, don't get caught, learn all that you can. i had to understand everything possible about someone and i'd develop habits in my attempts to learn about them.
i knew obsessive was a well-fitting term for everything i felt and did, but that definition has taken on a new meaning after my darling reframed many of the issues i'd dealt with. at that point, i never told her about anything i would put on this blog. her own experiences managed to shed a new light on my own. so even though it was directed at unrelated instances in my life, everything i'd boiled down to being an experience with bpd was something i had to reevaluate.
not to say it's not bpd, just that there was more to it than i'd realised. if anything, it goes hand in hand, being a common comorbidity and all. turns out i struggle with ocd too. i was already conscious of this but i never really accepted how it actually played into my life. i mean, acknowledging it just put a spotlight on what was wrong with me, and i didn't want to worry about that more than i already did. i panic enough about my mental state as it is.
even writing this is difficult. i started this as a means to justify my absence. if i don't post something now i'm going to cease to exist. i have to reread every single paragraph, restructure it to reduce as much error as possible and make sure it flows correctly and i didn't completely misstate my intent. i write more than i need to so that no detail is forgotten, sometimes reiterating throughout to ensure further. running a blog and remaining active with all of these expectations i have for myself is difficult to keep up with.
sometimes i don't know why i bother with these personal posts. maybe to humanise myself and be more personally relatable to my followers? maybe to make my blog more than just a masquerade? that's how it started, after all. my main blog could've been enough, but i made a side blog with a new personality to see what difference it would make. even though i gave it up a good while ago, having a space dedicated to specific thoughts makes it define me a little.
i can already tell you exactly who is likely acknowledge this post directly and who isn't, and around how long it may take. i keep track of patterns more than is good for me. not just mentally, but keeping a physical record of everything i do and how others around me interact with each other or myself. the interconnectedness of each detail. it used to be worse while i still wrote every little thing down, but it still festers in other ways. i've been trying to let go, yet everything i miss feels like i'm destroying a part of my own existence.
i don't know if anyone will connect to this post in particular, but i hope it helps someone feel less alone in the way some of my other posts do. i didn't realise how much i needed someone to understand me in this way until i had it. as scary as it is to not give in to any of these thoughts, it makes all the difference. turns out it's pretty nice not worrying about suddenly dying if i step in the wrong place lol
