I need codependent Danny/Jason as a little treat (for me) and I love the idea of them having some sort of instant connection the moment they meet (bc ghost stuff idk)

Danny who's been dropped in Gotham with no way home (alt universe??) and he's been here for 36 hours and having a Very bad time senses a liminal being and immediately latches onto them heedless of the fact that his new best friend is shooting at some seedy guys in an alley and goes off about how stressed he is and how he can't make it back to the ghost zone and what a bad day he's been having (and it's important to note Danny is a littol ghost boy literally hanging off of Jason's neck as he floats aimlessly) and Jason is like "who are you??" And Danny is like "oh sorry I'm Danny lol" and then just continues lamenting his woes

And honestly ? This might as well happen. Nothing about this Danny guy(is he human?) gives Jason a bad vibe and tbh he's never felt more calm and level headed before so he just keeps up his usual Red Hood patrol and doesn't even think about it when he heads back to a safehouse and feeds Danny dinner (breakfast) before crashing for half the day

The only thing I actually need is Jason meeting up with the bats for some sort of Intel meeting and they're like "uhhh who's that" and Jason is like "that's Danny." And does not elaborate (very ".... What do you have there?" "A smoothie" vibes)

And it takes them a while to realize that these two have known each other for less than 12 hours and are literally attached at the hip

Danny’s in Gotham living as a regular civilian or even just a literal tourist.

He’s out late after getting a burger from Batburger and in an attempt to get back to where he’s staying faster he cuts through a few alley ways with some help from his powers to stay safe.

One of the bat fam hears something from an empty looking alley and shines a flashlight in it, directly into the face of a exhausted looking teenager.

Danny, because high powered light in the eyes hurt, hisses in pain, and then runs away after seeing who just attempted to blind him. Because they’re a Bat and Danny really doesn’t want to deal with Batman.

The next morning the GPD issues a warning about a suspected vampire with a described appearance that matches Danny’s a bit too much.

Danny may have forgotten his eyes shine like a cats and that the red Batburger sauce ended up on his shirt… and that he has fangs.

just had the though of John and Arthur having one of them 3 am talks and discussing what it's like to live in a human body and John doesn't quite grasp not being aware of all your various parts and organs all the time and Arthur has to explain that humans CAN be aware of certain things to an extent but thinking too hard about it or suddenly being made aware of it is VERY unpleasant

My grandpa was one of the last to work for La Forestal. They came to the Argentine Chaco to extract tannin from the quebracho tree. A job from sun to sun, on lands stolen from the native peoples of the Chaco, who, along with criollos and immigrants, were also forced into gangs to cut down trees so hard that broke down axes, with trunks meters in diameter, to be pulverized in sweatshop factories and sent as tanin podwer to European industries. La Forestal did not pay you in pesos; you had a coin (my grandpa still has his, it says "Obrero N° 14"), which you presented at the company store, and they gave you whatever (food, booze) they cared to give you, or what they said they had; after all, as my grandfather says, if you didn't know how to read or write, how would you know you were getting less than they said?

And if you went on strike? And if you formed a union? And if you wanted to resist, like the indigenous peoples did? Some boys with a blood-red cap, the Cardenales, criminals taken from prison, would come and kill you, in broad daylight if you were striking, in the middle of the forest if you were alone.
