Alhaitham and Kaveh's dynamic is interesting, because I've seen a lot of people say either "oh my god Kaveh is so mean" or "oh my god Alhaitham treats Kaveh terribly". But, quite importantly imo, in this quest Paimon remarks that she "doesn't know which one of them is more problematic".
I think when considering their relationship you need to look at intention. Do Hoyo want to villainise one of their popular husnandoes as a toxic asshole? No. Even the "villain" playable characters like Childe and Wanderer are nice/funny on occasion. Kaveh and Alhaitham's interactions are intended to be humorous, to make you gasp and say "oh wow I can't believe he just said that!".
Like, during the most recent story quest, for example. Kaveh accusing Alhaitham of having no empathy when he's clearly pretty emotionally stunted and decently moral is mean. But saying "At least I'd be a fungus with empathy!" Undercuts that - it's clear neither Alhaitham nor the player are suppose to take those words seriously.
Alhaitham dismissing Kaveh's field of work with "you work yourself to death just for a smile" is so belittling, but it's a retort to Kaveh saying his scribe job is at "rock bottom" in the Akademiya. Alhaitham isn't lashing out or trying to demean Kaveh in front of others (this interaction happens after the player has "left"); he's just continuing their verbal sparring match. I think people take this jab so seriously because it can be seen as a jab at a lot of people working out of passion, but in the context of the dialogue we're not supposed to regard it so deeply.
It's also fairly clear that nobody in game takes them seriously either. Tighnari says Kaveh is "as pent up as an anemo slime" in his Alhaitham voiceline - another funny quip - and Collei details how hard it was to suppress her laughter when Kaveh was talking about Alhaitham. Nobody thinks they're genuinely bad for one another, or that getting them separated is all that crucial.
Even the interactions in this story quest are just so silly and domestic: Kaveh can't get the painting straight, Alhaitham buys ugly furniture, they're arguing about rent and drink tabs, Kaveh is doing an unfair amount of housework and Alhaitham fucks off without entertaining his own guests. it's funny, or at least it is clearly intended to be.
I've heard that in the other dubs the VAs tones are different and it makes the lightheartedness clearer. Personally I've thought since their first interaction in the AQ that Alhaitham is having fun during their quarrels, and Kaveh is just melodramatic enough to act traumatised even if he isn't truly offended.
Then when it comes to whether their dynamic is supposed to be read platonically or romantically... Well Hoyo won't do anything canon, but it's hard to argue that there is no intentionality in how their relationship is portrayed. What other character(s) has an idle animation directly referencing their relationship with another character? How many other voicelines explicitly reference two characters as a pair? Nahida's Kaveh voiceline, Collei's, Tighnari's - I'm sure there are more. "Roommates" "senior & junior" "academic rivals" -> certainly there's a case to be made that they're just very close, but Kaveh and Alhaitham getting fifteen minutes of epilogue interaction in two different quests (where none of the content is related to either quest) says something. Fanservice, quite possibly.
Also Kaveh's line "We used to be friends, but not anymore"; I've seen plenty of people interpret this as "oh we're not friends, we're dating*". I think this is fun in fanon, but on a canon level it's basically a promise by Hoyo to fix (or explain) their current dynamic. Hoyo, for all their many faults, are detail orientated enough to follow up on such a line. Perhaps it will just be in Kaveh's voicelines/character stories, but I anticipate a future event or Kaveh hangout in relation to their bond. Nothing explicit, but more exploration. It's fairly clear Alhaitham and Kaveh are popular enough characters to warrant it.
All this to say: I have lots of thoughts. I have seen people call them toxic and (while idm the drama of that in fanon shipping) that isn't really the intended case in canon. Or, at the very least, the intention is not to to take their squabbling so seriously.

MARK
You met Mark in your first year of university at the campus library. He had originally come intending to study without the distraction of his boisterous friends. But then he came across you seated at a table, lowkey panicking over the notes filled with numbers in front of you. The idea of failing your statistics exam was becoming more real, and you were terrified.
At first, you turned down Mark’s offer to help, but he was persistent. He was a third-year student, so he had taken the class already. Since then, the two of you started regularly meeting up at the library so he could tutor you. The initial chemistry between you was evident from the start, so slowly things led to more than just a senior-junior relationship.
Even when your stats class wasn’t much of a problem anymore, study dates remained a frequent occurrence between the both of you. Over time, the location transitioned to his apartment, imbuing the time with a more personal touch. Whenever you came by, Mark always tried to create the perfect study environment for you.
What if she’s uncomfortable? He'd often find himself pondering. However, you were never one to complain much and you appreciated how considerate he was. Most of the time, the two of you immersed yourselves in your respective tasks. Yet every now and then, you’d cast a fleeting glance at him, your expression reflecting a hint of uncertainty.
“Mark, do you know how to solve this?” You’d ask with a touch of concern in your voice, as you worried about interrupting him.
But the smile that formed on his lips never failed to put you at ease. Mark would lean over your shoulder, his gaze landing on the problem you were facing. Typically he understood the concept right away and happily offered his assistance.
“So you add this to that, and that should give you the answer,” he’d explain, his pencil pointing to the relevant numbers you had jotted down. “You’ve got it.”
Your comprehension caused your jaw to slightly drop, and you nodded in understanding. “Oh, okay. Thanks!”
“No problem, babe,” he would murmur, sealing his assistance with a tender kiss brushed against your cheek before he resumed his own work.
Naturally, those subtle gestures effortlessly brought a blush to your cheeks and kindled a warmth deep within your heart. Since the very first encounter, Mark Lee had proven to be the most compassionate individual you had the privilege of knowing. Reflecting on it, you couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the day he had chosen to approach you in the library.

RENJUN
You and Renjun shared your first semester of university in a general psychology class. Both of you had chosen it as an elective, in contrast to the majority of students in the class who were taking it as a major requirement. He left a significant impression on the very first day. Seated alone in the middle rows of the lecture hall, you were taken aback when a young man sporting a soft beige cardigan and faded jeans appeared before you.
“Hi, I'm Huang Renjun. Would it be alright if I sat here?” he asked, rather shyly.  Responding with a similarly bashful smile, you gave him a light nod.
Frankly, Renjun's gaze had fixated on you the second he stepped into the lecture hall. There was an inexplicable quality about your presence that caught his eye. As the class commenced, it became evident that both of you shared a genuine enthusiasm for the subject matter. Perhaps it was your fascination with psychology that bonded the two of you.
Once the initial awkwardness faded, Renjun and you had numerous engaging conversations about the topics covered in class. At some point, the two of you exchanged numbers, leading to interactions that extended beyond the confines of Tuesdays and Thursdays.
It took a few months, but Renjun eventually gathered the courage to formally ask you out on a date (and of course, you said yes). Since then, your relationship gradually blossomed into something so lovely and pure.
Most of your time together was spent working on assignments from class. You were a little skeptical the first time Renjun proposed the idea of studying outdoors. However, you couldn’t really argue when he explained all the benefits of studying outside, such as it helping to enhance focus and reduce stress.
After the first few times, you started to enjoy the change in scenery. The two of you got a lot done during these outdoor study sessions. And when the two of you quizzed each other for upcoming tests, a correct answer would almost always be awarded with a swift kiss. Whenever the breeze picked up, Renjun was quick to drape his jacket around your shoulders without a second thought. Your well-being was always a priority of his, which you found to be such an endearing quality of his.
Somehow, Renjun managed to make studying both productive and romantic. Honestly, no matter how down you got, he made everything better. You could no longer imagine your life without him in it.

JENO
Truthfully, your path might have never crossed with Jeno’s if not for Chenle. He was the one who somehow managed to get you to agree to go on a blind date with his close friend. Originally you weren’t that interested in dating, solely wanting to focus on academics. The idea of being a campus couple never quite appealed to you. But Chenle emphasized that he thought you two would get along well, and you should at least give it a chance.
And so, with a mixture of apprehension and curiosity, you stepped into a café one Saturday afternoon. It didn't take you long to identify Jeno, the guy from the photo Chenle had shared beforehand. Upon noticing your entrance, Jeno promptly rose from his seat, his demeanor polite and welcoming.
The shy smile he adorned when greeting you with a bow was the first thing you noticed about him. He was dressed pretty nicely for a casual date, which left a lasting impression on you. You certainly didn’t expect him to be so good-looking either.
"You must be (Y/n), right? I'm Jeno."
“Nice to meet you, Jeno-ssi,” you responded with a gentle blush on your cheeks, returning his bow in kind. The interaction held a mixture of nerves and excitement, the beginning of something new and unexpectedly intriguing.
Given his introverted nature, Jeno wasn’t great at meeting new people. But he could tell you struggled with that too, so he tried to put more effort into getting to know you. While things were initially awkward, the two of you slowly warmed up to each other.
You liked how calm Jeno was, and he was the perfect example of a gentleman. While Jeno found your soft-spoken nature to be endearing, he noticed your genuine interest when he talked about his architecture major. His heart fluttered when you laughed at his jokes.
Chenle was pretty smug when the two of you officially started dating. But you and Jeno discovered immense solace in each other’s company. Your relationship was comforting because of its simplicity. Both of you were always prepared to lend a listening ear and offer unwavering support to each other at the end of a tiring day.
Neither of you was overly fond of going out, so most of your dates were spent studying in the confines of your dorms. Jeno wasn’t as studious as you were, so he tended to unintentionally distract you. On occasion, he’d lean across the table to delicately tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear. His simple gesture would cause you to get all flustered and disrupt your focus entirely.
“Jeno, seriously?”
He’d respond with a sheepish chuckle. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it!”
A soft laugh escaped your lips as you shook your head. Jeno's ability to consistently bring a smile to your face was undeniable. His presence not only brightened your days but also made you recognize that embarking on a college romance wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

HAECHAN
You and Haechan had the classic "opposites attract" trope. You captured his attention from the very first day of university, and he has remained captivated ever since. Lee Donghyuck was as bright and outgoing as they get. Whereas you preferred to keep to yourself and tended to avoid crowds.
Naturally, Haechan dedicated his entire first semester of college to shamelessly pursuing you. You rejected him the first few times he asked you out, assuming he was just trying to play with your feelings. Back then, you couldn’t fathom why someone as sociable and well-liked as him would be interested in you, who existed as a stark contrast to those attributes.
But his persistence was unwavering, and Haechan slowly worked his way into your heart. As you allowed him to get closer, you saw this incredibly resilient person who was surprisingly mellow and tender, beneath his lively persona. Haechan was over the moon when you finally agreed to be his girlfriend.
Relationships were something new for you, but Haechan guided you patiently. He had a sweet side that only you got to see. Through simple things like encouraging you when you were nervous about an exam or listening to you talk about a class you really liked, Haechan showed you what being in love was like.
However, you could never get any work done with Haechan. He wasn’t as devoted to his studies as you were, leading him to approach the task with a more laid-back attitude. Although he put in a sincere effort to match your diligence whenever you were together, such instances were fleeting. Once Haechan believed he had devoted sufficient time to studying, he would invariably shift his focus to playful flirting, consistently diverting your attention from the task at hand.
“Come on, (Y/n),” he'd tease with a mischievous grin. “School is important, but so is spending time with your amazing boyfriend.”
Raising your gaze from your laptop, you cast him an unconvinced glance. “Hyuck, I really need to get this essay done,”  you insisted with a slight sigh of exasperation.
Haechan pouted in response, “But you’ve been working on it for the past hour and a half. A little break can’t hurt you, babe.”
By suggesting a "break," he essentially implied that you should take a pause from your essay to give him some attention. Letting out another sigh, you acknowledged that attempting to resist his charms would likely be an exercise in futility. Moreover, your mind was on the brink of overload, grappling with the many sentences you had somehow typed into your document.
“Fine,” you conceded, shutting your laptop. “But I’m only giving you twenty minutes.”
Haechan sprang to his feet with a surge of enthusiasm at his success. “That works for me, Jagiya,” he chimed.
You gasped when Haechan scooped you up in his arms and swiftly brought you to snuggle on the couch. He had you cradled in his arms, your head nestled against his chest while his chin rested atop your head. It was a comfortable position to be in, you couldn’t really complain. A subtle smile graced your lips as you felt Haechan's gentle kiss on your forehead.
The depth of his affection for you was unmistakable, and your feelings for him were equally profound.

JAEMIN
For Jaemin, it was love at first sight when he laid eyes on you. He enjoyed a considerable degree of popularity on campus, thanks to his charming personality and striking good looks. Amidst the numerous girls vying for his attention, there was only one who had truly captured his heart.
You were the reserved girl who worked at the coffee shop Jaemin frequented after his physiology class on Mondays and Wednesdays. He had glimpsed you on campus a few times too. While you didn't engage with many people, you did have a close-knit circle of friends with whom you felt at ease.
Of course, it didn't take long for you to develop feelings for Na Jaemin. Each time he placed his order for an iced americano with four additional shots of espresso, his polite and kind demeanor left a lasting impression. While his coffee choice was remarkable to you, the radiant smile he bestowed upon you as a sign of gratitude never failed to make your heart flutter. You found yourself frustrated with your emotions, fully aware that practically every other girl on campus harbored a crush on him.
However, your world took a remarkable turn when Jaemin unexpectedly waited outside your literature class, having learned your schedule from one of your friends. The two of you ended up taking a walk around the campus, and Jaemin couldn't help but sneak glances in your direction. Despite having spent the previous night meticulously planning what he wanted to say, nervousness still coursed through him.
“(Y/n), I know we don’t know each other well yet. But I’d really like to go out with you,” he began, with a gentle look in his eyes. “If you’d be willing to give me a chance, I promise to make you happy.”
His words were simple, but you could sense the sincerity behind them. That was precisely why you smiled at him and lightly nodded in grant to his request. From that point on, Jaemin and you took things slow. Getting to know each other through leisurely dates, engaging in late-night phone calls that stretched past one a.m., and eventually, sharing your first kiss beneath the moonlight. Na Jaemin was everything you imagined him to be and more.
Sometimes the two of you would be studying together in the library. But Jaemin found it hard to focus when you were right in front of him. Every now and then, you’d catch him staring, causing you to blush immensely.
“Jaemin, quit looking at me like that!” you stammered, your hands flying to cover your flushed face. “Don't you have homework to complete?”
Jaemin playfully pouted, feigning innocence. “How can you expect me to focus on homework when my adorable girlfriend is sitting right here?”
“You're impossible,” you shook your head in slight amusement.
He responded with a wink. “Only for you, princess.”
You couldn't help but smile, glancing back down at your notes. Jaemin was really something else. But you loved him, no matter how crazy he drove you.

CHENLE
The first encounter you had with Chenle involved him apologizing profusely. Rushing to class, he inadvertently bumped into you in the hallway, causing his coffee to spill onto your shoes. He was pretty flustered because incidents like those didn’t happen to him very often.
“I'm really sorry, I should've been more careful,” he apologized, running a hand through his hair. I can cover the cost of your shoes.”
An understanding smile crossed your expression as if the unsightly brown stain on your white sneakers was inconsequential. It made Chenle’s heart flutter instantly, although he didn’t let it show.
“It’s okay. You don’t need to do that.”
Chenle was about to object, but he glanced at the time and cursed under his breath. “Ugh, I really have to get to class. But I'll make it up to you, I promise!”
Before you could tell him it wasn't necessary, Chenle hurriedly dashed past you. You didn’t think much about the interaction for the rest of the day. Until a few days later when he caught you after one of your classes. He apologized again for your clumsy encounter the other day and asked if you were free that afternoon.
You tentatively said yes, and a few months down the line, you were dating. Your personalities were quite distinct, but you unexpectedly got along well and found yourselves gaining new perspectives from each other.
For study dates, Chenle often took you to the café near campus. Typically, you'd be the one diligently studying, while he would glance at his notes for about five minutes before deciding that was enough.
About half an hour into the study session, he would place a bubble milk tea before you. “Here, I got you the taro one because I remember you like it,” he'd say casually.
You looked up and smiled gratefully as your fingers curled around the cold beverage.
“Thanks, you really didn't have to,” you replied.
“No, my hard-working girlfriend deserves it,” he said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
Chenle consistently expressed his love for you through subtle gestures. He may not verbalize it frequently, but you cherished the way his caring nature shone through these small acts. His actions served as constant reminders that you held a special place in his heart. The day of the accidental coffee spill was undoubtedly one of the most memorable events in your life. From that point forward, your love deepened, rooted in those genuine and affectionate moments, and you yearned to continue experiencing them indefinitely.
✎_________________________________________________________
JISUNG
Being freshmen, Jisung had crossed paths with you in a few of his classes. Although he had only exchanged a few words with you on a handful of occasions. However, every interaction left a strong impression of your kindness towards people. Despite being nervous around people he wasn’t familiar with, Jisung found himself joining the photography club when he discovered you were in it.
Truth be told, your heart soared with joy when you spotted Jisung at the first club meeting. His presence opened up new opportunities for the two of you to talk. You thought his awkwardness was cute and relatable.
Both of you shared a natural shyness, and the mutual crush you had on each other had endured for quite some time. The tipping point that finally led to you becoming a couple was the gentle nudge from your friends, who insisted you confess your feelings to each other.
Navigating the realm of dating proved to be its own challenge. Those initial study dates you had were certainly something else. Once Jisung managed to get lost in the library and you had to search for him between the towering bookshelves. Another time he was so focused on studying that he forgot you guys were on a date. Yet as time passed and the both of you grew more accustomed to each other, things gradually began to smooth out.
During exam season, Jisung and you endured the grueling process together. Often, you both found yourselves as the last occupants in the library, tirelessly poring over pages of notes and textbooks.
With your heads resting wearily against the tables, you both would lament. “I hate finals,” you muttered.
Jisung let out a deep sigh and reached out to hold your hand. “Me too. But at least we’re in this together.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” you conceded. “Having you by my side definitely makes it more bearable.”
A shared, tired but soft smile passed between the both of you. Jisung gently helped you sit up and suggested it might be wise to leave before the librarian forced you guys out. Even though the stress of finals still lingered in the back of your mind, the walk back to the dorms with Jisung and the sweet good-night kiss you exchanged somehow made it feel all okay.

Omg so excited for you!! Congratulations on your milestone!
Fuegoleon x reader for a god au plsssssssss. Where Fuegoleon is the god of flames or something and reader is a mortal?
Hiya anon! Thank you so much 🥰, and of course you can! I didn’t really mention what kind of god Fue was in this since it wasn’t really relevant to the idea I had, but I did kind of try to hint at it towards the end. But I hope you enjoy 🥰!

————
Fuegoleon watched as the people of Clover began to find places to sit or stand along the riverbank, each one excited for the upcoming meteor shower that was to take place.
“ The Star god must be in a very festive mood today! They say this is going to be the biggest star shower yet!” One woman said excitedly as she sat down on a blanket, the man who sat beside her nodded in agreement.
“ He must’ve really enjoyed the offerings we gave him this week if he decided to do this for us!” The man said excitedly.
“ Oooh look it’s starting!”
Everyone's gaze drifted up to the starry night sky, and they watched as one by one the stars began to fall in rapid succession.
The humans ‘oohed’ and ‘aahed’, but Fuegoleon felt a pang of sadness in his chest as he stared up at the sky. If only the humans knew the real reason as to why the stars were falling…
“ A glass of wine for your thoughts?” A soft voice suddenly asked from beside him, he quickly turned and his heart stalled in his chest.
It was her, the mortal who had stolen his heart. His gaze traveled from her eyes to her outstretched hand which held a glass of wine out towards him.
“ Are you trying to bribe a god right now?” He asked with a slightly raised brow, and the woman shook her head.
“ Of course not, it just looked like you needed a drink,” She told him as she grabbed his hand and placed the glass in it.
Fuegoleon stared at the dark liquid that swirled in the glass and smiled a bit, of course she would notice when something was on his mind. It was like her sixth sense.
She sat down next to him with her own glass of wine in her hand and stared up at the sky.
“ Do you want to talk about what has you looking so sad?” She asked as she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.
Fuegoleon swirled the liquid in his glass as his eyes got lost in thought.
“ It…isn’t really my place to discuss it,” He admitted after a moment, and the lady nodded.
“ I see; so, your sad thoughts have to do with a friend of yours,” She deduced, and Fuegoleon hummed.
“ I wouldn’t say he’s a friend, he’s more like a junior colleague,” He replied slowly, his brows furrowing slightly in thought.
He and Yuno weren’t really friends like he and Nozel or Yuno and Asta were, but the two were friendly and would occasionally work with one another so…a senior-junior relationship would describe it well right?
His frown deepened a bit; did Gods really have such roles and titles though? They usually saw each other as equals…
“ I assume this junior colleague is a doctor as well?” She asked, and Fuegoleon had to suppress a wince.
He had nearly forgotten he had lied and told her that he was a doctor instead of a God…
“ He is, yes,” He confirmed with a nod before sipping his wine, and the woman hummed.
“ I see; is he perhaps struggling with something that happened at work?” She asked casually, and Fuegoleon shook his head.
“ No. It’s something more…personal,” He admitted after taking another sip of his wine.
“ Personal…” She trailed off as her gaze moved from him to her own glass of wine, her eyes staring into its depths as though it were a crystal ball that would tell her what to say next.
Fuegoleon glanced over at her and his heart filled with regret; even though she was trying to hide it, he could see that she really wanted to help in some way. Whether that was giving advice or just lending an ear to his troubles, she wanted to be helpful.
So, he decided he would let her be helpful, at least a bit.
“ My colleague’s struggling with his…conflicted feelings at the moment,” Fuegoleon admitted softly as he looked back up at the shooting stars.
“ Conflicted feelings?” She repeated with a frown as she looked towards the vermillion haired man, and he nodded in confirmation.
“ He’s…fallen in love with someone, but at the same time he’s still in love with his former lover,” He began slowly, trying his best not to divulge too much.
“ I see, that is quite the conundrum,” She agreed softly, nodding her head slowly as she listened. “ Well, does he want to move on from his former lover?”
Fuegoleon hummed in thought.
“ I think he does, and yet at the same time…I don’t think he does,” He muttered softly as his gaze moved back to his wine glass. “ All he’s ever known is the love and embrace of his former lover, so that’s where he’s most comfortable. But…” He trailed off, trying to find the proper words.
“ But?” The woman beside him encouraged softly as she turned to fully face him.
“ But he wants to leave his comfort zone and take the risk. He wants to explore this new love he’s found, he wants to see where it leads him and how it all plays out.” He told her softly as he looked up and over at her.
“ As his friend, what do you think he should do?” She asked curiously as she leaned in close, and that’s when Fuegoleon realized there was a misunderstanding between them.
He was talking about Yuno and his relationship troubles, but she was talking about him!
Fuegoleon opened his mouth to correct the mistake, but hesitated.
Maybe…maybe he wasn’t only talking about Yuno; perhaps, in a way, he was also talking about himself and his own complicated feelings…
Gods and mortals were forbidden to be together; if they were caught then it could spell a lot of trouble for both the god and the mortal. The god could lose everything and be thrown in jail or worse killed, while the mortal would either lose all of their precious memories or worse…
All Fuegoleon knew was Elysia and his life as a god, it was where he was safe and happiest. But after meeting her…he realized he wanted something else, something more, something…exciting.
She had reignited the once extinguished flame in his heart.
“ I think…he should take the risk,” Fuegoleon said quietly as he leaned in close to her as well.
The two leaned in closer…and closer…and closer until finally their lips met in a deliriously sweet kiss that was better than either one could have imagined!
Fuegoleon didn’t know what tomorrow held for them, and at the moment he didn’t care, because no matter what it was; whether it was the Gods of Elysia, or a meddlesome patient, the two would face it together as a couple.

Hii, thanks so much for sharing your kpop tarot readings, they’re so fun to read! I love how detailed and in depth they are. If it’s okay could I request a reading on Seventeen’s reputation in the industry? Thank you!
A tarot reading on: SEVENTEEN
Tumblr media
SEVENTEEN's reputation as idols
When it comes to Seventeen's reputation as idols they are seen as sophisticated, confident, and friendly. People look at them and consider them to be "seasoned", so over their years their talent has progressed even further. They are good at what they do and just have such a refined quality to their music, style, and charm. People could like their energy or like the fact they are a large group? People see them as a group of friends vs a band who just only make music. The members of Seventeen are good at making each person shine their best qualities.
Tumblr media
What does the music industry think of Seventeen?
I believe the industry had to grow to like Seventeen because they were so different and now they have accepted them. It's like the music industry saw them as only something superficial like for their looks for example (it seems there was comparisons to other large groups? EXO or Super Junior, perhaps?). Overtime as the members of Seventeen got to showcase their talents, the music industry became impressed with what they were all capable of. They now see them as very creative and free spirited individuals. They could of originally wanted them to fit into this box but Seventeen attracts the most abundance when they are just being themselves.
Tumblr media
What do other idols think of Seventeen?
Other idols see Seventeen as humble, funny, and disciplined. A lot of green, blue, and purple here so that connects with the crown, third eye, and heart chakra. Seventeen's passion for their art is able to project through an entire room, it's pretty amazing. People can't help but be in awe. Seventeen are able to depict their authenticity well through their music and it comes off as very charming. Idols think they are great entertainers and the younger generation all have positive things to say about them. They're so much fun to be around. Seventeen are also very popular on variety shows.
Tumblr media
Channeled messages:
There was this lingering energy that I could not shake off and I had to dive deep into this depressing aura here because there was something about this group that wanted to come to the light. So a few members had come forward and I had to decipher who it was or what they were trying to tell me. One member in particular was in a relationship a long time ago that nobody knows about and he has been feeling guilty ever since. The other members I channeled were the people the closest to him at the time and would cover for him by drawing more attention to themselves. This member who was in a relationship was dating a senior idol. They are no longer together but he is feeling heartbroken about what happened and feels he is part of the reason that the person he used to date has lost their success or aren't in the spotlight anymore is because of him (it's more so he's part of it, like he emotionally impacted this person, but it is not all his fault, there were other factors involved). This member fears that if this were to ever go public, people would no longer want to work with him, and would create rumors implying he's not a good person to be around. That he would date all of his coworkers or something, when that's just not true. There's purple, blue, orange, yellow, and red which connects to the crown, third eye, throat, sacral, solar, and root chakra. This member is going through a lot of inner turmoil, he needs to let his go of this guilt he feels and forgive himself for what happened in the past. To understand that he did his best to loved that person dearly, there was no malicious intentions to sabotage the other idol's career. He also needs to stop letting other people's opinions think low of himself? Like these cards kept sneaking in when I asked about what other idols think of him so I'm getting that he deals with intrusive thoughts or anxiety but he's hiding it. This member needs to be honest with himself and others. He is more appreciated and cared for than he realizes. His aura is very muddy right now but he will able to heal from this in the future (I will personally send him some healing energy myself if I have to 🥺🤧). Also unrelated, but some of the members have stated that they have dated before. Their Fandom (Carats) need to be more realistic when it comes their love life because they could be hindering their relationships.

Occupation: High School Senior / Server at Bucky's Diner
Role: Neither
[+] friendly, cheerful, compassionate, humble [-] self-conscious, naive, reticent, perfectionistic
Character Inspirations: Ruby Rose (RWBY), Honda Tohru (Fruits Basket), Miyazawa Kenji (Bungo Stray Dogs), Keyleth of the Air Ashari (Critical Role), Adora (She-Ra)
background
TW: Parental Abandonment
Truth be told, Marisol has no real memories of her birth parents, or a time before she was a part of the Reyes Ortega (now de la Luna) family. She knows what happened, that her dad dropped her off with her big brother and then skipped town, but she's never been anything but happy that's how her life went. She knows that she's had a better childhood under Celia's care than she would have had anywhere else.
For as long as she could remember, Marisol knew that she was never getting out of Huntsville. She was six years old when the storm hit, and in spite of the paradox being the only existence that she had ever really known, she tried her best to make the best of a bad situation—to fill her life with purpose and meaning. She focused on doing well in school, on her many extracurricular activities, on being a good big sister to Felipe and a good friend to her close-knit circle. When she got older, she started shadowing her family members at work in order to learn their trades—primarily Mo at the nursing home, Celia at the diner, and when he came into their life a year ago, Cal at the library.
Through it all, she has managed to maintain the sunny disposition that inspired her family nickname, but that isn't to say that there isn't more to Marisol than the facade she puts up. Perhaps the reason she tries to be a good community member is because she knows how hard her mom worked to restore her reputation after it took a hit from her teen pregnancy. Perhaps the reason she wants to be a good kid who never gets into trouble is because she remembers the rumours that tore her big brother down and can see him still trying to repair the damage. And perhaps the reason she needs to remain upbeat is because she wants to keep filling that role in the lives of those she loves—the one whose smile never fades, even if it falters from time to time.
misc
Nobody in their family knows Marisol's actual birthday—including Marisol. She was dropped off with them on Celia's birthday, and as a result of that, they celebrate Marisol's birthday then as well. (She's actually a little older.)
She is a flyer on the high school cheerleading squad. Her other interests include cooking, sewing, and mostly as of last year, photography and video games.
She used to be a member of the Scouts and is now a Junior Ranger.
She has a part-time job at the diner as a combined server and busser. Other than that, she also volunteers at the retirement home and helps out at the library.
She suffers from frequent bouts of insomnia, usually from stress, but having Cal around to keep her company at night when she can't sleep has helped.

Do you have any headcanons about the gang in school?, since the show doesn't seem to care about that lol (and maybeee some jxh in season 5, aka every body being shocked by their relationship) i just got really carried away with your last response about it!
This ask is from a few years ago (ahem, sorry about that).
I don’t buy, at all, that Jackie’s social circle wouldn’t know about her relationship with Hyde. “Christmas” (6x07) would have us believe none of Jackie’s high school friends (outside of the basement gang) knew about Hyde until right before that dance.
So Jackie and Hyde use the primo make-out spots in school whenever they have free periods or lunch periods that coincide. The gossip mongers would be out in full-force, at first, but then they’d become jealous -- perhaps seeing in Hyde what Kat Person of “Burning Down the House” (2x15) saw. This would add to Jackie’s social status, and Hyde would not enjoy the newfound attention he gets from her friends.
Eric, Donna, Fez, Kelso, and Hyde all watch the Vikings’ games (Point Place High’s sports team[s]), and Hyde goes largely to watch Jackie cheer.
Donna works for the school paper, and she (temporarily) infiltrates the cheer squad as a cheerleader (her junior year) to write an article about cheer culture, much to Jackie’s chagrin.
Fez’s grades suffer once he and Kelso become best friends in their senior year. When Fez realizes this fact, he shuts Kelso out during class, which frustrates the bored Kelso. Kelso flicks rubber bands and chucks paper clips at Fez to get his attention, and Fez gets the teacher involved -- because Fez’s parents sent him to America for a good education, and he’s not going to waste that opportunity, no matter how badly he wants to goof off with Kelso.
Eric takes electives outside his comfort zone during his senior year to help him figure out what career path he might want to take. Being challenged academically also helps him focus less on Donna’s absence (since she’s attending a diferent school that year).
Jackie alternates sitting with Hyde (and their friends) and her social circle during the week at lunch. Hyde has an open invitation to sit at the cheer squad’s table. He usually declines except when Jackie asks him nicely to join. Fez sometimes follows him there.
I’m sure I could keep going, but then I’d be up until the next morning. So I’ll stop here, lol.

Are Consumers Ready for Robots at Their Doorstep? - Technology Org

Are Consumers Ready for Robots at Their Doorstep? - Technology Org
With Amazon aiming to make 10,000 deliveries with drones and robots in Europe this year and Walmart planning to expand its drone delivery services to an additional 60,000 homes in the states, companies are investing more research and development funding into drone delivery.
While people were generally more willing to accept an automated vehicle as a substitute for a delivery person — perhaps because there already is familiarity with self-driving cars — people disliked drones and robots as options, according to the new study. Image credit: Audi
But are consumers ready to accept this change as the new normal?
Northwestern University’s Mobility and Behavior Lab, led by Amanda Stathopoulos, an associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, wanted to know if consumers were ready for robots to replace delivery drivers, in the form of automated vehicles, drones and robots. The team found that societally, there’s work to do to shift public perceptions of the near-future technology.
“We need to think really carefully about the effect of these new technologies on people and communities, and to tune in to what they think about these changes,” Stathopoulos, the study’s senior author, said.
The study, titled “Robots at your doorstep: Acceptance of near-future technologies for automated parcel delivery,” published last week in the journal Scientific Reports. Researchers noted a “complex and multifaceted” relationship between behavior and acceptance of near-future technologies for automated parcel delivery.
While people were generally more willing to accept an automated vehicle as a substitute for a delivery person — perhaps because there already is familiarity with self-driving cars — people disliked drones and robots as options. However, as delivery speed increased and price decreased, likelihood to accept the technology increased.
They also found that tech-savvy consumers were more accepting of the near-future technologies than populations less familiar with the technology.
Stathopoulos is the William Patterson Junior professor of civil and environmental engineering at Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering, where she studies the human aspects of new systems of mobility. She also is a faculty affiliate of Northwestern’s Transportation Center. She said especially after the pandemic, people have come to expect efficient delivery from e-commerce purchases as they increasingly work from home.
Maher Said, a Ph.D. graduate of Stathopoulos’s lab and a senior data scientist at Wisk, is the study’s lead author.
“There’s a paradox: We’re having a hard time reconciling the convenience and the benefit of getting speedy, efficient delivery with its consequences, like poor labor conditions in warehouses, air pollution and congested streets,” Stathopoulos said. “We don’t really see that other role that we play as citizens or as users of the city. And one role is directly affecting the other role, and we are both. With automated delivery, we could reduce some of these issues.”
The team designed a survey to assess preferences of 692 U.S. respondents, asking questions about different delivery options and variables like delivery speed, package handling and general perceptions.
Stathopoulos said that while new modes of delivery present an exciting opportunity, societally, “we’re not there just yet.” As companies ramp up drone deliveries due in part to labor shortages and in part because existing systems cannot satisfy the sheer volume of e-commerce deliveries, the researchers caution that these innovations may fail because of a lack of public acceptance.
Stathopoulos said she thinks shipping and logistics centers should be placed at the “front and center” of city planning and design, as in some European cities, to recognize its importance and role in quality of life. Policy makers will also need to become part of the conversation as more drones enter the airspace and labor shifts. None of this will work, Stathopoulos argued, until companies begin to consolidate their unique systems.
“On the planning side, we need to make sure that we embrace the fact that the massive amount of deliveries is going to shape our cities,” Stathopoulos said. “Collaboration, coordination, and information sharing between companies has been a running challenge — but it’s not going to work if everyone has their own technology. It just destroys the purpose and builds redundant and overlapping systems.”
However, by listening to and conducting more frequent assessments of user acceptance of technologies, Stathopoulos argues that policy makers and companies can prepare for the future and work to overcome anxiety and reluctance to accept new technologies.

When it comes to developing a college list, there are seemingly endless factors to consider. Academics, location and cost are often some of the first considerations a student will think about when choosing where to apply. However, one factor that is often overlooked is size.
Most of you are probably accustomed to the size of your high school and the classes you’ve taken there, but think about how the size of your school has affected you academically and socially. Perhaps your school feels too large and you want a smaller setting for college. On the other hand, perhaps your school is much too small and you can’t wait to experience the environment of a large university.
Tumblr media
From my experience, most students apply to medium (5,000-15,000 undergraduates) or large (more than 15,000 undergraduates) colleges and universities. Larger schools tend to have more brand-name value and are easily recognizable, but that does not always equate to the best fit.
There are many advantages to attending a small college, so let’s explore how to know if a small college is right for you.
To begin, here are some of the characteristics of a small college:
Typically private, liberal arts schools
Less than 5,000 students
A focus on undergraduate education
Classes taught by professors themselves
Smaller class sizes
More individual attention from advisors
More opportunities for leadership experience
A tight-knit student community
As you can see, small colleges truly cater to their students because most of their resources are dedicated to undergraduate education. Larger colleges and universities tend to devote many of their resources to research and graduate programs, sometimes creating an academic environment where undergraduates are not prioritized. Classes are often taught by inexperienced teaching assistants instead of by the professors themselves, so the quality of instruction can vary widely.
Furthermore, the bureaucracy can make it challenging to sign up for your desired classes or switch academic majors. Small colleges offer much more of an opportunity to get to know your professors on a personal level. If you have close relationships with your teachers in high school, you may find it rewarding to continue developing those types of relationships in college.
You will also find more flexibility with the curriculum at a small college. Advisors who don’t have to manage a large student population are more available to work with you on a specific academic plan that meets your needs. It is important to take all of these considerations into account when deciding where to apply.
Tumblr media
In addition to offering an individualized academic experience, small colleges may offer greater on-campus leadership opportunities. A smaller student community means less competition for extracurricular clubs and activities. Depending on your interests, you may find it easier to join organizations and contribute right away at a smaller college. Sure, larger campuses may have more activities to choose from, but rigorous guidelines often dictate membership for many of those clubs. Leadership positions also tend to be held by seniors and juniors who have worked their way up the ranks over the years.
Would you rather be a small fish in a big pond or a big fish in a small pond? There are merits to both, but consider your particular interests and goals to determine which option would be a better fit for you.
When you reflect on your high school experience, think about the qualities that have meant the most to you and have allowed you to be the most successful. Do you enjoy a close-knit community in which you know many of your fellow peers? Do you cherish the insights found in small class discussions with your teachers? Do you have varied academic interests and aren’t quite ready to pursue one subject for the next four years? If you value community, flexibility and individualized attention, then a small college may be the right fit for you.

How experienced are the ROs with romantic relationships?
Oooh!! This is very interesting to think about.
But treat what comes next as... early-stage brainstorming. I tend to tinker around with these backstories until the time comes to actually write them (and yes, most of this will probably make it into the canon game at some point).
Sam
Of the 4 ROs, they’ve maybe had the least experience with serious, long-term relationships. Fun flings, short whirlwind romances yes, definitely - they've had no shortage of (very varied) admirers (and everyone they’ve dated has loved them deeply) - but they’ve never been quite ready to ‘settle down’.
They generally go for excitement over stability, novelty over familiarity, passion over long-term commitment. And they’ve always gotten over break ups fairly quickly, with a shrug and quirk of the lips. "Was great while it lasted."
If they're honest, maybe it’s because they've already got a partner-in-crime, a confidante, someone to lean on in tough times. So they don’t need that from a romantic partner - after all, MC is the one they turn to when they need a shoulder to cry on, when they want to share something that made them laugh etc.
It's worked well so far, but sometimes Sam wonders if there's some part of their soul that's holding out for a deeper, romantic relationship with someone who truly understands them (ahem, MC, ahem).
Rayyan
Rayyan never does anything half-assed. When they fall for someone, they fall hard. (Even if it takes a bajillion years for them to open up and let the person in).
They've never been very interested in 'dating for the sake of it', and they've always had very clear priorities (dating is not one of them), so: quantity-wise, they haven't had many partners.
And yet, they're too honest to do anything that doesn't fully resonate with every part of their soul. Even though family is everything to them, they'd never do anything that doesn't feel true.
So - although they come from a relatively conservative muslim Egyptian-American family, when they fell in love in junior year of high school with someone of the same-sex, there'd been no question about it. They'd gone all-in, all-the-way.
Without giving away any spoilers, that relationship was both one of the best things and worst things that ever happened to them.
Tobin
Probably the most 'experienced' when it comes to loving, long-term relationships - Tobin always says that they've been lucky in love, because they've only ever dated people who really loved them.
Because of their outgoing, kind, warm personality, they were one of the most popular kids in school (not just on surface, but you know, genuinely well-liked) so, as is only expected, they've had no shortage of people who’ve fallen for them.
They've always been very sincere about their relationships, though. They’d never be with anyone they don’t fully respect, or who doesn't fully respect them. When they're with someone, they tend to give all of themselves - for better or for worse.
They've had maybe 3 or so relationships before college, a couple of shorter-term relationships in college, plus the off-and-on-again thing they have going on with the senior captain of the other tennis team (though some would argue that's not been the healthiest of relationships...)
G
Probably the most 'experienced' sexually - G has been with a lot of different people, but is also very comfortable being single.
They've never quite understood the concept of clinginess, or jealousy, or possessiveness, or the fear of relationships ending. To them, life’s all about connection, intimacy - of whatever kind - rather than a naive desire for control or the illusion of ‘forever’. (Perhaps it's that confidence and blasé-ness that's so attractive, though).
That said, there always seems to be a certain aloofness to G - as though there's something they hold back, even from their closest or most intimate relationships. Not to mention a disbelief(?) in commitment, stemming from something more existential - perhaps the feeling that nothing lasts, and there's no point pretending otherwise.
G's most serious relationship to date was with an older partner - a formative experience, and one that perhaps shaped some of their thoughts on freedom, egalitarianism and fierce independence in relationships.

a glimpse into the past
Jungkook’s been to a total of two graduations his entire life—one was his middle school’s graduation that seemed more like a farewell party and his older brother’s college one. Now, he can say that he’s attended three. But he’s never felt like this—never felt dread to say a temporary goodbye to a face he’s been so accustomed to seeing.
Maybe that’s why he’s in such a sour mood as his peers hugged their seniors' goodbyes, smiles on their face while they engaged in chatter about the future. Jungkook’s always been hard on parting and today is no different. Especially with the constant reminders at every corner of the hallways, streams of red and blue painting the ceilings with a big fat ‘happy graduation to the seniors!’ Mocking him on his journey to his classes.
He almost wants to slap some sense into himself. Because why was he terrified for the beginning of a new chapter that wasn’t his story to tell? Why was he dreading the moment that the seniors collected their diplomas and walked off the stage; and out of his life?
But he doesn’t do that; because the fear is as addictive as the excitement he feels when he thinks of you. A conflicting and tortuous juxtaposition of the beautiful day for a valedictorian and her younger friend.
“Jungkook!” A voice calls, and when he turns he sees Taehyung barrelling towards him with two people trailing closely behind.
When Taehyung plummets into Jungkook’s chest with an oof, but all Jungkook can focus on; despite the ache in his chest, is you.
You’re so pretty. But that’s nothing new for Jungkook. However, you were smiling, soft and sweet like the person who stayed up during her finals to tutor Jungkook on math concepts and the same girl who supported him through his football trials in junior year.
But you were grown, and the robe was the testimony of your age and maturity—the level of intelligence that you possess only grew with time and now you were walking towards him with a sense of quiet assuredness that he’s always admired you for.
Jungkook’s sure he’s gaping but he’s never been able to control himself around you.
“Can you stop gawking at her already?” Taehyung complains, twisting the skin between Jungkook’s armpit in retaliation.
Jungkook burns but scowls at the older boy who simply snickers in response.
“I’m so glad you’re graduating.” Jungkook snaps.
Taehyung snorts, “If I go she goes.”
Jungkook purses his lips as he readies himself for another retort, but you arrive and the first thing he notices is how gentle you smell. His favourite scent in principle, a whiff of laundry detergent accompanied with the light floral perfume he remembers his mother gifting you for your birthday.
“You’re gonna miss us, aren’t you?” Is the first thing Jimin says when he greets the younger boy with a ruffle to his head.
Jungkook glowers in embarrassment as he tries to fight him off, and despite his shorter stature in height—Jimin was in fact, quite strong.
Regardless of his flustered state, you smile at him warmly and perhaps Jungkook is biased when it comes to you because he’s sure you’ve always smiled the same, but every tilt of your lips evoke an array of different feelings in Jungkook’s chest.
“The two of you are like dumb and dumber so no—not really. God knows he’s finally granted my wish for emancipation.” Jungkook grumbles.
Taehyung feigns offence with a hand to his chest, leaning his head against Jungkook’s shoulders while he rolls his eyes.
Then he remembers you, the girl who just smiles as the world will always do her good.
“But I’ll miss Noona, though.” He says, and he hopes the shakiness of his voice isn’t obvious. “She’s the only one that doesn’t tease me.”
You grin up at Jungkook, giggling when Jimin and Taehyung gape at the younger boy’s audacity.
“Yah. You call her Noona and not us Hyung?!” Taehyung screeches were loud enough for the group of you to wince at his loudness.
“Don’t forget that you would have never have met her if it weren’t for us, you brat.” Jimin reminds, though not maliciously.
Jungkook does thank the stars for them introducing him to you. Because he doubts otherwise you’d ever interact with him. You were always in your own bubble, tucked away in a safe space filled with your own sense of solace and comfort. And Jungkook admired that.
He liked being alone, but he never wanted to be lonely. You were a breath of fresh air when you taught him the lines between loneliness and being physically alone; and how you learnt to never conflate the two. You were independent and bright, but warm and welcoming—and Jungkook remembers that these feelings weren’t just a floor away anymore.
“Ignore them, Kook.” You sigh. “Gonna miss you too.”
Jungkook feels himself melt because you say it so sweetly and sincerely.
Taehyung and Jimin ruin his love-blurred lenses by gagging at your blatant display of affection towards the younger boy.
“The two of you are so gross.” Jimin groans, earning a nod from his other half.
You roll your eyes when all Jungkook does is flush at the insinuation.
“Unlike the two of you, we make the better and more rational pair.” You chastise. “Don’t we, Kook?”
And the nickname he’s grown to love though he has a love-hate relationship with it slips off your tongue and he finds himself agreeing with you.
“These two idiots are a quarter of a brain-cell combined on a good day,” Jungkook mutters.
You burst out into laughter, rubbing a calming hand onto his shoulder and he feels the dread come in. Because this was no longer something he could reach out to when you went to college.
“Whatever.” Jimin scoffs.
Then the PA system sounds, and the principal calls for the graduates to gather at the hall. And it represents all of Jungkook’s worries in an announcement and he’s not ready to let you go yet.
“That’s our call.” You declare, eyes darting to the other seniors who pull apart from their juniors to rush to the hall.
Jungkook’s eyes widen one last time before Jimin and Taehyung both wrap their arms around Jungkook tightly, murmuring a much more sincere and grateful remark than their previous chides. And he feels slightly bad that he can’t respond because his brain is far more focused on your lone figure, who eyes him with sad yet gentle eyes.
“You’ll come to our role call, right?” Jimin asks.
Jungkook gulps because all he can focus on is your face.
“Y-yeah. Course’.” He mumbles. He feels the need to say something—do something before people crowd you after it’s over. Jungkook would never stand a chance.
He seems rooted in his feet, Jimin and Taehyung already trailing off with their arms around each other and words of their future in the air. You smile at Jungkook—and it’s the same—but his hands reach out before he can think twice.
Jungkook grabs your wrist before you can leave, gulping to himself when you stare at him with wide eyes.
“You okay?” You ask softly.
No, he’s not, because his heart is beating so fast and he doesn’t want this day to come to an end.
“I-I’m okay.” He chokes, “I just—don’t you have a parting gift for me?” Jungkook blurts before he can rationalise what the fuck did he even mean.
But Jungkook just stares at you like a deer caught in the headlights while you tilt your head at him endearingly. He hopes that his pulse doesn’t emanate from his grasp, but your wrist is small, and it feels just right in his palm.
Your lips are twitching as a grin threatens itself on your expression, and he sees the mischief in your eyes that come out every once in a while.
“Aren’t you supposed to be giving me a gift, Jeon?” You tease, and Jungkook is so soft.
He snorts, a little glad that you didn’t point out his sudden grip on your wrist.
“But you’re leaving me.” He pouts.
You roll your eyes and take a step closer to him until you’re directly in front of him. And he sees your features up close and God—did he say you were pretty?—well because you’re even prettier up close and he loses all sense of thought when you’re smiling up at him with bright eyes.
“I’m always a call away.” You say softly, gently tugging at his hand; and it’s crazy to think that you were the same older girl that was usually timid reaching out to him in a way that was shy but so you.
Even with the chattering of other students, Jungkook only hears your subdued voice.
“It’s not the same.” Jungkook sighs, and he’s slightly aware that he was whining. But you don’t seem to be bothered.
“You’re probably going to forget about me.” You scoff and it’s light, but he can see the slight furrow of your brows. “You’re Jeon Jungkook. You’ll do great.” You add softly.
Jungkook purses his lips and wants to tell you that it wasn’t possible. You took up space in his life, both in school (well, not anymore) and in his mind. You and your wonderful mind.
“Says the valedictorian.” Jungkook huffs.
You pout, “You know that isn’t long-term. What if I just peak in high school and … you know …” You sigh, shaking your head, “I’m not outgoing like Jimin or a social butterfly like Taehyung. Neither am I as friendly and likeable like you are, Jungkook. I’m just … boring.”
Jungkook freezes because while he knew you were on the shier side; the louder than life tendencies you had were small but abundant. You didn’t need to speak louder than anyone in a room to get your points across, you were soft and empathetic and led people in organisations to see the good in the work they did.
Your genuine nature drew people in, even though you’d flush under attention and praise—and if Jungkook could—he’d scream it out to the world. But you were in front of him, and he figured that was enough.
“Don’t say that.” Jungkook snaps and his tone causes you to flinch as you stare at him with wide eyes, “Don’t … put yourself down like that. You’re great, _____. You’re intelligent and kind. Just because you’re different doesn’t mean you’re boring. There are situations in this world that need people like you. There are people that find comfort in a quiet soul because you’re introspective and thoughtful. People like …”
Jungkook exhales when you stare at him so earnestly, and his ears turn red. “People like me. We need people like you in our lives.”
Your mouth falls open as you blatantly stare at Jungkook with wide eyes; he’s on the border of being absolutely mortified and running away so he wouldn’t be the subject of your obvious ogling.
But then a soft smile makes its way onto your face, and you’re tugging Jungkook by the hand and into a warm hug.
Despite him being younger than you, he’s always been taller and bigger than you were. And it was a sense of security he felt in your presence rather than your physical entity that would never be replaced with anything else.
“You really grew up, huh?” You say, a giggle in your chest.
Jungkook rolls his eyes but accepts the way you rest your head on his chest. He’s never had you this close before, and he hates that it’s on the day he needs to say goodbye.
“I’ve always been this way.” Jungkook answers. He also thinks: I’ve always been here. For you.
“Thank you, Jungkook.” You say softly, pulling away even though Jungkook wants to keep you close.
“Anytime.” He smiles widely at you, and a classmate of yours calls your name as you turn to give them a nod of acknowledgement before you’re turning back to Jungkook with a cheeky smile on your face.
“Here’s your gift.” You inform him.
“I was kidding—”
And before you can respond, you’re placing both hands on his shoulder and on your tippy-toes to deliver a kiss to his cheek.
Jungkook is stunned and he isn’t able to process it fast enough. But you’re already offering him an equally flustered smile with the tip of your ears turning red before you’re waving shyly and tittering off to the hall.
Jungkook blinks, and a hand reaches to touch his cheek.
He looks up, and groans—because how the hell was he going to survive high school now?

A/N: PURE FICTION. PURE FICTION. PURE FICTION. This will be very fluffy because I wanted to start February on a light note. hehe. Also, this is inspired by First Love by NCT 127 under Loveholic’s single. It’s a good thing that I finished this before they announced that First Love is all about your first... love... hahaha so I had time to incorporate in more with my fic. As always, I enjoy writing for my Bubu. Happy reading!

Can you still remember your first love? The day you met and the day you realized you officially like that person?
When that one person hold your hand for the first time? Did he kept you close and kept you warm?
When that one person kissed you for the first time? How did it feel?
When you had your first fight, how did you fixed it?
Do you remember the time when you realized that, that one person is slowly slipping into your hands?
When that one specific person broke your heart?
Do you remember it?
It’s been over four years since Love Alarm has been launched and they’ve been using it for almost everything. The world seemed to have progressed a lot now that we have Love Alarm in our phones but did it really made our lives easier? Especially when it comes to love?
Walking to school on a beautiful day, your first day as a transferee... what could possibly go wrong? As you enter the school premises, you see students holding their phones like they’re waiting for something or someone. Perhaps they’re waiting for someone to ring their Love Alarm? Who knows?
“He’s here!” A rather excited student exclaimed and brought out her phone and grabbed her friend. You being the only clueless student right now turned your back too to see the man they’ve been waiting for.
He was like a celebrity when he stepped on the first few steps upon the school’s entrance. Lee Taeyong, a senior. Very good looking, smart, athletic, and voted junior prom king. He literally looks like an angel walking in the middle of the school’s entrance together with his friends who look liked angels too. Their Love Alarm rang so much as they walk in front of the new and old students, making fun of each other and having a bet on whose Love Alarm will ring the most.
You looked at him. You looked at his face like you don’t already know that it’s impolite to stare at someone, but you still did because Lee Taeyong is handsome. And you’re not immune to his charms. What a good way to start school, you thought. It’s only the first day but you feel like you’re going to have a blast as long as you see Lee Taeyong around.
From there on Lee Taeyong has become your crush and your heart thumps so hard whenever you ring his Love Alarm every morning like the other girls. For you, there’s no shame in ringing his Love Alarm, you’re glad it does that. At least you’re being honest to him in silence and let the alert from Love Alarm do the talking. But even though you ring his Love Alarm again and again and again, you never wish for him to ring your Love Alarm back, no. He deserves someone perfect like him.
Day by day and whenever you see him around, you look at him to feed your heart and eyes then look away again and ignore him as if you didn’t ring his Love Alarm loud and proud. It frustrates him you know, but in a good way. He now recognizes you as the new girl who rings his Love Alarm every day but seems to don’t care about him enough. In other words, you’re not like the other girls.
You know that good feeling when you go to school and you’re looking forward to seeing your crush even just for a few seconds? That’s what Lee Taeyong feels for you. With just a couple of weeks of ringing his Love Alarm, you had the man thinking about you and wanting to know you. Sometimes he can’t understand Love Alarm. He is completely sure that he likes you already and he is very interested in you, but he can’t ring your alarm.
Have you ever had that good feeling when your crush is around and you are free to look at him no matter how long you want and whenever he caught you staring you just avoid his eyes? It’s like playing chicken but you’re both enjoying the game, he smiles at you and brings up his phone as if he’s telling you ‘Thank you for ringing my Love Alarm again’ and you just smile at him, completely clueless that he’s starting to flirt.
“Why don’t you just ring her Love Alarm back?” Doyoung asked.
“Cant. For some twisted reason, I can’t ring her Love Alarm. That’s why I can’t make a move and can only flirt back, I want to trust Love Alarm” Taeyong says, eyes completely glued to you but you don’t know that because you’re busy reading.
“Maybe you don’t really like the girl?” Doyoung blurted out. Lee Taeyong didn’t really want to admit it with his friend but maybe he’s right.
“The Lee Taeyong flirts back now huh? And to a new girl? Interesting” Johnny swings his arm to his friend and ruffles his hair. Teasing him for flirting back at you because he saw Taeyong smiled in your direction.
“Am I not allowed to flirt?” Taeyong snorted and turned off his Love Alarm when he saw the place getting crowded already. “It’s senior year, I need to change” he added.
“So changing your relationship status is a good start? Hmm. Okay, I agree with you on that. But don’t waste your time if you're unsure,” Johnny explains. But Lee Taeyong doesn’t care, he looks at you as you gather your books thinking of many ways to start talking to you and secretly wishing he can ring your Love Alarm back. But for now, he just can’t.
While you were studying at the library, you can’t help but remember how Lee Taeyong thanked you for ringing his alarm.... he fucking thanked you, that must be something? He isn’t thanking every single person who rings his alarm, just you. You smile at that thought which you think is crazy but a girl can dream. Then again you remember that you’re studying and shook your head for the nth time to stop yourself from thinking about your senior.
When you finally focused on studying and finished tons of school work, you didn’t notice that it’s already dark outside and that going home alone would be scary but you have no choice. You walk and walk and walk until you finally reached that scary alleyway you’ve been trying to avoid but it’s your only way home.
“Hey- don’t go there”
A familiar voice warned you before you can even start walking, you turned around and wish that you were wrong but you weren’t. It is as if the world heard you thinking about Lee Taeyong and the universe made you meet in an unexpected way. “It’s dangerous there, where are your friends? Is that your way home?” He asked the question like you two were close and talking already, his face looked cold but funny how he makes you feel warm.
“Yes, this is the only way. Usually, I go home when the sun is still up but I have to study” you explain.
“I have no choice then. Let me walk you home, my conscience will not let me sleep if I just let you-“
“I can take care of myself, I can easily call my dad. If I refuse your offer, will you still think about me?” You don’t know where the sudden bravery came from but you’re glad you did it.
He was completely shy, blushing and keeping his head down. And that’s the push that Lee Taeyong needed. He held out his hand and introduced himself properly like a decent person would and you did the same. Both hands are shaking because of nervousness but that’s understandable you both thought. “This isn’t how I imagined meeting you officially-“
“So you do think about me?” You further tease the blushing man and finally admits the truth and said, “Yes. I do think about you. A lot” it was silent for a few seconds before he started again, “I wish I could ring your Love Alarm too, you make me nervous you know that? Whenever I’m in school I look forward to seeing you, even just for a few seconds” he came closer to you as you grip your bag tightly and the butterflies in your stomach won’t stop flapping their wings when Lee Taeyong put strands of hair behind your ear so he could see you clearly under the lamppost light.
Either way, you still let him walk you home and cherish every second you could have with your crush. You feel like you’ve won something like you’re winning this nonexistent race with the other girls, you feel happy for yourself. He told you about his day, you told him yours, he made you laugh, you make him shy for no reason. And when you and Taeyong finally reached your house, you exchanged numbers. Now you can tell that you’re winning something. His attention and interest.
“I hope I can ring your Love Alarm,” he says again, looking at you like it’s going to be the last thing he’ll do.
“That’s fine, ring mine when you’re ready. We can’t rush romance, even when Love Alarm is involved” you watch him let out a small laugh and you think he’s so handsome even when he’s cute.
“Usually girls get offended when someone they like can’t ring their Love Alarm, but you... you don’t mind waiting”
You didn’t want to end the moment yet but it’s getting pretty late and he needs to go home too, you told him to stop flirting and go home safe so he can flirt with you some other time. And for the last time, just to wrap this wonderful night, he tilts his head and smiled so sweetly to you and told you ‘good night’
That moment you had with Lee Taeyong felt like a pretty damn good song but just like every song, it needed to end. But you will never forget about it.
After that momentous night with your crush, Lee Taeyong has become a whole entire playlist and a well written album wrapped into one. Every love song you listen to was suddenly all about him he and the man was head over heels to you. He was texting you nonstop even during class, calling you after school and will probably end later at night, and getting the tiniest chance to flirt with you in the morning before you both head to class and meet again by golden hour to walk home together.
Not long after a week of flirting and getting to know each other more, he finally rang your alarm in front of many students in school accidentally. Your eyes went big and Taeyong was as shocked as you are. It was like you have this 10-meter radius for yourselves only and you were both giggling when your Love Alarms went off together. It was a happy moment, definitely one for the books. “Finally” he whispers, standing close to you, not caring if a lot of people are watching. Let them watch, Lee Taeyong thought. So they know you belong to each other now and you have Love Alarm on your side.
“Are you free this weekend?” He asks while walking you home.
“Free, but I have to study. What do you have in mind?” you answered as calmly as you could because you have a hunch that he’s going to ask you on a date.
“Well, now that I can finally ring your Love Alarm, I want to take you out on a proper date” you knew it, “movies?”
“Sounds fun, as long as it’s scary” he nods and took his phone out of his pocket.
“Can I ring your Love Alarm again?” He requests which you gladly gave in and opened the app. You two waited for a few seconds for Love Alarm to work its magic.
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
Until the number ‘1’ appeared on your screens and says “Someone within 10-meter radius loves you”. Taeyong sighed in relief and swing his arms around you for a hug and a kiss on the forehead. “That scared me” he admitted.
Unconsciously, he doesn’t know what his hug and kiss can do to you. While his heart calms as he hugs you, yours is beating so fast like you just ran a mile. There’s that winning feeling again.
On your first date, he took you to the movies and as promised the movie was scary. It was so scary that he had enough opportunity to hold you close and hold your hand the whole time. The moment your fingers intertwined, you felt some kind of electricity flowing in your body and the movie house suddenly felt warm. “I know, I felt it too” he whispers and went back to watching the movie.
The next few days with Taeyong was something you’ve never imagine that will happen in your high school life. He has become the epitome of new things and first times.
He is the first guy to hold your hand in public. Swinging it high, up and down, holding it tight, and he even kisses it whenever he feels like it. Not a day goes by that he didn’t hold your hand or kept you close to him ever since you made it official through Love Alarm.
He is the first guy to sweep you off your feet, through his sweet words and gentleman gestures. “Can I flirt with you later?” he asks, putting a bottle of juice in front of you before he goes to his next class. ‘Flirt with you’ simply means he wanted to spend time with you before he walks you home.
Still in your school uniforms, Taeyong brought you somewhere quiet where the river is calm, and just looking at it makes you calm your nerves too. “The sun feels nice, let’s watch the sun go down,” he says lying comfortably on the ground and enjoying the warm grass underneath his body.
“How’s your day?” you sat beside him and Taeyong was quick to cover your legs with his school coat. He grunted while covering your legs as he remembers how stressful being a senior is.
“Was having a bad day, when I talked to you earlier. School has been kicking my butt” he says and lies again beside you. “How about you? How's being a new student so far?”
“So far so good, I have a handsome senior who just made my high school life more interesting”
He handsomely giggles in front of you, so close that your lips are just inches away. “You’re flirting,” he says.
“You said you wanted to flirt with me?” you bite back.
“Mmm-hmm. Can I flirt a little differently today?” he came even much closer to you but you didn’t pull away because you know exactly what he’s talking about.
And just as you expected, he kissed you. Softly. Holding your chin as he moves his lips on yours while the sun goes down. Your eyes were shut and all you did the whole time your boyfriend was kissing you is return the kiss and savor the feeling of being kissed for the first time.
When the kiss was over, he did not pull away immediately but looked at your lips for a few seconds as if he wanted to kiss it again but even more fiercely this time but he knew this is not the right time for that. So instead, he kissed your nose and your forehead and flashed a sweet smile at you. Something that you will never forget like the kiss you just shared a few seconds ago.
After that day, kissing became an everyday habit to you and Taeyong and you both love it whenever you get the chance to share a kiss privately. Well, he does kiss you in public, but those are nothing compared to the ones you share inside his room after school and his parents are not yet home. Lee Taeyong’s lips are simply addicting but little did you know that your boyfriend is even more addicted to kissing you.
“Just one more kiss” he pulls you close to him begging for another kiss before he watches you go inside your house. “One more please” he pouted like the baby that he is.
You crashed your lips on him and feel both of his hands hold the sides of your head so you won’t pull away from him so easily. But when you do, he simply asks for another kiss and then another other, until you’re basically making out in front of your house.
“Mmm” he moans like he’s not planning to stop kissing you soon.
“Tae-“ you giggle and tried pushing away and finally, he stopped. Lips swollen, slightly panting with a…. hard cock.
“Sorry about that. I- I have no control over that, I’m sorry” he apologizes and tries to hide his boner. You let out a small laugh and fixed his ruined hair with a few pat.
“You don’t have to be shy, I’m your girlfriend. See you tomorrow, okay? Go home safe!” you slowly walk towards your house, waving your hand goodbye until you see him walk away.
Just like any new couple, you and Taeyong crave for each other in many ways. After exploring enough with kissing and teasing each other whenever one of you gets too turned on, soon you talk about different levels of physical intimacy freely without being awkward.
Given that Taeyong is more experienced than you are because you’re a virgin, he knew exactly what to do when it comes to expressing his physical needs to you and making sure that he doesn’t pressure you with anything.
“So how do I know if what base are we on?” you asked innocently.
“First base is kissing. Open mouthed kisses, tongue- basically, the things I already did to you or the things we did already” he explains, hands on your waist as you both lie on your sides facing each other.
“I’m guessing we're way past first base then” you smirked and made him shy.
“Yeah. Way past first base” he smirked back at you and hovers on top of you. “The second base is more on touching” he emphasized the word ‘touching’ and better explain it by moving his hand from your leg up until he reaches your inner thighs under your school skirt and run up a finger on your slit unexpectedly which made you curl in no time and curse at him. Not because you didn’t like it, but because it felt good and he immediately stopped the teasing.
You glared at him as if you’re telling him through your eyes to touch you again, be he just snorted and kissed your cheeks. “Don’t hate me. I’m just waiting for the perfect timing” he explains and enjoys how you’re so annoyed but horny.
You let out a sharp sigh and made him continue again. “Third base is giving head or fingering. Oh, you’re going to love third base” he teased you further by just using his words. You pushed him away from you playfully but your boyfriend is strong and caught your hands, “okay okay. Enough teasing, home run is having sex. And come on I have to get you home before I could no longer stop myself”
He’s not lying because you see the growing tent in his crotch. He’s been stopping himself by teasing you. You sat up when he got out of his bed to change into some much comfortable clothes but when he got back, you teased him by putting on a show. Lifting your skirt slowly just before you reveal your panties and as expected, he stopped you.
“Don’t tease me, I don’t have a condom right now” it was a warning but it sounded more like he’s begging.
“I’m just joking” you kissed him on the cheek and got up from your comfortable position to fix your wrinkled school uniform before you head home.
Tonight, you attend a party with Taeyong for the first time and his Love Alarm kept on ringing the moment he stepped into the room.
Every day, Lee Taeyong rings your Love Alarm and you ring his too.... together with the other girls and quite frankly, you don’t know how long you can stand those girls who fantasize about fucking your boyfriend. He’s your own private buffet, for goodness sake.
“Don’t drink anything unless I’m the one who gave it to you, okay? I’ll get you something- Doyoung!” he made sure you won’t be alone and called his friend before he leaves.
“So you’re the lucky girl. Hi, I’m Johnny” he offers you his hand for a handshake and accepted with a smile.
“Don’t mind Johnny, hi I’m Doyoung. Taeyong’s best friend,” you shake his hand and smiled at them, hoping that you don’t look awkward. They made small talk, asked you how you’ve been and how’s your Junior year going so far which you answered too seriously. Soon, you feel Taeyong’s cold hands on your shoulders and hands you a drink before he shoos his drunk friend Johnny away.
It was a fun night, but it can be better if the other girls can respect your relationship. You wanted to snap so hard but instead, you focused on how Taeyong kisses your nape, shamelessly while you watch his friends play beer pong and he’s standing right behind you, hands on the front pockets of your jeans like he’s telling those girls he belongs to you.
But the warm feeling was shortly cut off when they heard Johnny shouting and drunkenly pushing himself to walk straight so he could get a hold of his girlfriend. Everyone heard it. The words, “Johnny were through. I’m breaking up with you” were heard on every corner of the place even under loud party music.
After hearing those words, you looked at Taeyong like you’re telling him through his eyes that you’re scared. But Taeyong and his other friends were quick to get Johnny and stopped him from making a scene.
Everything happened so fast. One second Taeyong was beside you, but now you're in the middle of the place alone and watching your boyfriend and his friends carry Johnny outside.
“Johnny didn’t ring her love alarm today,” Taeyong sits beside you after leaving you alone for a few minutes to talk to his friend. “And if he’s going to be honest he fell out of love. But he wasn’t ready to let her go and wasn’t sure about his feelings, he’s just being paranoid because he’s going to graduate soon” he let out a sharp exhale before he continues, “We're going to graduate soon. I guess Love Alarm caught him having second thoughts for her already”
“Do you want to leave now?” you asked your boyfriend. He can only nod because he still feels weak about what happened to his friend.
The supposedly warm night with Taeyong became cold and quiet. Not because there’s something wrong with your relationship. But because you were both scared of the idea of breaking up. He wanted to tell you he saw the look in your eyes when you heard the words but he figured enough sadness for one night, wrapped his arms around you and told you “I will never let you go” and kissed you on your temple.
Few days after the party is exams week so you and Taeyong didn’t see each other that much. But by the time it’s over, he waited for you outside the school and you know he’s the one waiting for you because he rang your Love Alarm.
While walking to his house, it suddenly rained so hard that the raindrops hurt your skin. But instead of avoiding the rain, Taeyong pulled you in the middle of an empty street and kissed you under the rain.
It was so sweet.
His arms were perfectly wrapped around your body while yours is placed behind his lower back. You tiptoe unconsciously so you could reach him well. “I love you,” he says and lifted you off the ground effortlessly for a tight hug.
“Here wear this” He left some clean clothes on his bed for you to change with while he puts your wet uniform on the dry cleaner.
When you’re finally dry and clean, you cuddle with Taeyong in his bed wearing his big clothes and listening to the sound of rain with no lights on, but the gloomy sky outside.
“I saw the way you looked at me the other night” he started. And you tighten your embrace to him as you remember the words and the whole scenario.
“I'm just scared and not because I’m doubting your love” you admitted. “I never thought about it you know. That things can go wrong someday-“
“No, no. Then I’ll love you, even more, every day. Don’t be scared please, trust my love” he says and kept you close by putting his legs on your thigh. His big hand is placed under your shirt, drawing small circles on your tummy to give you more comfort.
“I’m guessing this is second base then?” you teased him to change the mood.
“Do you want to proceed to that level? Hmm?” he rolls on top of you, teased you, and kissed your neck in a way that seriously turned you on in no time.
“If you’re brave enough to do it, then go right ahead. I give you my full consent” you reached for his lips and kissed him deeply. You felt him smile during the kiss and also felt his hand slowly lifting your shirt or rather his shirt. Hands roaming your body like he never touched you before, squeezing your butt cheeks and kneading your clothed boobs. To be honest, he’s shy to put his hand inside your clothes but to his shock, you put yours inside his, bravely touched his body, and shamelessly put your hand inside his sweatpants and touched him.
That made him swallowed his shyness and knead your unclothed breast under the shirt that you’re wearing. Brushing his fingers on your nipples softly, pinching them to make giggle.
After a few minutes of intense touching, he was slightly tugging the sweat pants that you’re wearing and asked you, “Do I still have your consent if we proceed on third base?” He whispers oh so sexily beside your ear which made you remember what he told you, ‘you’re going to love third base’ and that is enough for you to nod and give him further permission.
He kissed you on the lips, his way of saying ‘thanks’, and proceeds to lift your shirt and suck your nipples which made you moan his name and grip his locks so tight that he needed to reach for your hands and intertwine them with his.
Lee Taeyong showed you who is in bed and you can't help but think that you’re the luckiest girl on Earth.
“Hey, you okay? You’re spacing out, I think should-“
“Don’t stop” you moaned and grabbed his head for a deep kiss. You reach for his hand and made him knead your boobs while you kiss and grind on each other and in a matter of minutes you felt him putting his hand inside your panties while he distracts you with the way he kisses you. He flicks his fingers once and you curled immediately, legs wide open so he could freely move his hand. But soon his patience went thin and removed your panties, throwing it on the side of the bed before spreading your legs even more wider.
“Do you like this side of me?” He whispers on the shell of your ear and bit it eventually making you tickle and giggle with parted lips.
“I definitely do” you moan out.
And for the main event under third base, he kissed your body all the way down until he meets your wet entrance. Kissing your inner thighs first before he proceeds to drive you wild with his tongue.
First, he parted your wet folds, looked you straight in the eye, and licked you like you’re his favorite flavored ice cream. “Tae-“ is all you can moan out and decided to put your hands above your head and grab hold of his headboard. Which he didn’t like so he stopped and told you, “touch me, I like that”
And so you did. Gripping Taeyong’s locks as he makes you feel good with his tongue. Putting a finger inside your cunt and flick his tongue faster together with his finger, making you cum in no time and crushing your boyfriend’s head with your legs. “Stop- stop” you cry out because of over sensitivity. “You weren’t going to stop eating me unless I told you so”
He smirked and hummed because you’re right. He gave you a few minutes to catch your breath, taking that time to strip himself naked without you noticing. And when you finally came back from your high, he kisses your lower stomach and there you see your boyfriend all naked and really horny.
“I want to have sex,” he shamelessly told you, touching your body with care while he waits for your answer. “Can we have sex?” he kisses you more like he’s persuading you.
“Do you finally have a condom?” You asked with a smile.
He did not waste any time and get the condom from his drawer, putting it on in front of you. Putting it on in between your wide open legs and very wet slit.
“Put your arms around me,” he said and you followed immediately. He ran his protected cock on your wet slit, just to make him hard even more but the feeling for you is very different. You are very much aroused, very horny and it already felt good. So when you feel him poke your tight hole and slowly push in finally, your eyes shut close and feel every inch of Lee Taeyong’s cock go inside you oh so fucking slowly until he’s entire inside.
He grunted and moan directly on your ear and told you, “virgin no more” and kissed you on your temple before he rolls his deep which made you both crazy and even more horny for each other.
Your tight walls were so wet because of the foreplay that his cock was sliding in smoothly, hurting you good and stretching you right before he fucks you harder.
“Fucking thin condoms, I feel like I’m fucking you raw,” he said in between thrust and rolling his tongue on your nipple, tugging and biting it as he pleases.
When he sees you smiling through the pleasure and felt your body more relaxed, he put his mouth on your mouth and made you catch his moans as he fucks you harder and faster, enough for his bed to creak, your body to be dragged on the mattress and your nails to dig on his skin.
He came hard and had a great orgasm, slowly thrusting deeper as he rides his high and showers you with kisses. Truth be told, he didn’t want to cum just yet but your tight walls did its magic on him.
The moment he pulls out to discard the condom, he went back to kissing your weak body and told you to “Calm down,” oh so sweetly, and eventually giggled when he saw you still breathing heavily.
“How can I calm down if you’re kissing me like that?”
“Okay I’ll stop,” he says and pulled down your shirt to cover your exposed body, reached for your panties, and helped you wear them again then covered you with his thick sheets. “Better?”
“Yes, thank you” you smiled weakly at him and watched him get dress again before he joins you under the covers.
“What are you thinking?” he asked, hoping that you’re okay. “Are you hurt somewhere?”
“How many girls did you bring here before me?” You watch your boyfriend’s eyes get big upon hearing your question, “I’m joking. And no, nothing hurts. I’m just processing everything that happened. How about you? What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking about you, how I want you to be the last girl I have sex with in this bed” it was a joke because he only brought a total of two girls into his room. His first girlfriend and you.
“Buy a new bed or I’m breaking up with you,” you said with a straight face but he clearly knew you’re joking.
They say that being close with your partner emotionally, physically, and even sexually can strengthen a relationship. And right now, as you celebrate seven months of being in a relationship with Taeyong, you believe in that saying because you’ve been closer than ever after being intimate for the first time. In other words, the sex was a good way to strengthen your relationship.
“Why do you love reading so much?” he asks, totally jealous over reading a good book rather than talking to him.
Taeyong is busy nowadays because he’s graduating in a few weeks and he’s part of the prom committee because he has seriously good leadership skills. That’s why maybe he wanted more attention.
“Oh! I'm gonna miss you when you graduate” you pinch his cheek and sat closer to him. “Will you be fine being away from me?” You teased him but your question was serious.
“No, I will not be fine. I will miss you every day- can we please talk about something else before I start crying?” he attacked you with kisses on the cheek but the moment was cut off when Johnny pullovers to fetch your boyfriend.
“Have fun shopping for prom decorations with the boys rather than being in bed with me” you whisper to him while you both wear your bags and walk towards Johnny’s car.
“I love you, go home safe, okay? I’ll call you as soon as we're done”
During your walk alone, it felt nice to do something without Taeyong for once. Not that you wanted him to be gone, no. It’s just that nowadays, things have been becoming like a routine and less of a relationship. You go to school, see him before class starts, see him again after school, and go home together. Then you do it again the next day. Like you don’t have any more doors to unlock in this relationship.
But what do you expect? You’re high school students.
“Are you done studying?”
“I can’t study tonight, my brain feels tired” you whine through the phone, eyes closed and thankful that it’s going to be the weekend tomorrow. “How about you?”
“Well, Johnny accidentally broke a few lights so we need to fix it before we go home. I’m tired, I miss you”
“Mmm. I’m tired too...” your voice was a little groggy.
“And? Do you miss me too? Can I see you tomorrow?”
“Tae, we just saw each other five hours ago and no, I want to enjoy my weekend by staying home and watching Netflix”
“So you’re not having fun when we're out together?-“
“I never said anything like that” you opened your eyes because the conversation is getting pretty serious, “Don’t be angry, I just want some time for myself you know? We see each other every day, talk through text every hour, it’s like there’s no more room to breathe” you wish you can properly tell him what you’re feeling but those are the words that came out from your mouth.
“Time for yourself, huh. Okay” and just like that, he ended the call. No ‘good night’ or ‘i love you’. And even though you’re sleepy and things escalated quickly, you heard the tone of his voice like a mixture of, annoyed and hurt.
Instead of having a good night's sleep, you stayed up all night thinking about what you said to your boyfriend. Analyzing every word and repeating the scenario in your head, over and over again. If telling him what you want was wrong, then you don’t know what’s right anymore.
On the next day, you sent him a few messages telling him that you’re sorry and that you didn’t mean to put it that way. You even told him you wanted to see him, hoping that he will finally get back to your messages. But still, he never replied. The whole weekend.
Come Monday, you didn’t get to see Taeyong in the morning like you usually would because you and your friends did your group project together last minute. And the truth is, you’re starting to hurt because you feel bad for being honest even though you didn’t intend to hurt him like that.
“I think you’re being too clingy” Doyoung protest to his friend during lunchtime.
“Girls love clingy boyfriends-“
“Well, unfortunately not your girlfriend. Give her some space, don’t make her all about you, you know?”
“I just want every time I could get with her before I graduate. B-but, yeah. Now I’m giving her the time that she wanted for herself-“
“But you’re hurting her. She’s worried, she just wanted you to return her messages dude” Johnny pats his back and gave him the look like he’s saying ‘fix this before Love Alarm screw the situation further’
And while Taeyong is enjoying his lunch with his friends, you’re with your friends at the school bleachers watching the other sections use the field. Talking about hot boys, prom dresses, and what to do after prom.
“Did Taeyong asked you to prom already? Was it romantic?” you see the excitement of your friend as she asked you the question and see the others wait for your answer.
“N-no. He hasn’t” the once cheerful faces were replaced by disappointment. Come to think of it, maybe he will not ask you to prom because of this stupid fight. You shook your head and returned the question to them and pretended that you care who’s taking them. But deep inside you envy them.
School was always exhausted and you don’t know why you’re suddenly tired. Usually, after school and you meet Taeyong outside, you still have a lot of energy left. And maybe that’s it, Taeyong’s cheerful energy and happy aura are the ones recharging you after a day in school. That’s when you realized that you don’t need to push him away just so you can breathe.
Speaking of the devil, you see him leaning on Johnny’s car the moment you stepped out of the school grounds. Head down, hands inside his pockets, and waiting for you.
The moment you stepped inside that 10-meter radius, his Love Alarm rang and he knew it was you. But the problem is, your Love Alarm didn’t ring this time.
Taeyong didn’t notice it. Taeyong didn’t notice that your Love Alarm was silent. He still welcomed you with a tight hug, kissed your face one too many times, and said his sorry sincerely. It felt nice that you are now okay, he’s talking to you again and on top of that he apologized. Of course, you didn’t want to ruin that peace anymore and pretended that you’re not hurt.
Few days went by and Taeyong hasn’t rung your Love Alarm and he’s too busy to notice it. Senior year is making him busy and you have nothing against that. Yes, you do miss him but he calls you before you sleep and quickly apologizes whenever he feels like he’s being a clingy boyfriend again.
“N-no. Please, be clingy. I’m sorry for that night, I don’t know what I’m thinking” you sounded desperate but he doesn’t know why.
“Okay, just making sure we don’t fight again”
And few days before prom, he still hasn’t asked you yet while your friends all have dresses already and plans for that night. It sucks, but you don’t want to get mad at Taeyong for not asking you to prom because he’s busy.
On a quiet afternoon after school, you’re waiting for Taeyong outside the school while reading a book, and page by page you digest every word just so you could stop thinking about prom. And just as you least expected it, your boyfriend asked you to prom on page 127 of the book that you’re reading.
“Will you go to prom with me?” -T.Y
Then it hit you. You started reading this book on the day prom was announced so basically he asked you ever since day 1 and he has been waiting for your answer for weeks already. He just keeps on giving you more reasons to ring his Love Alarm loud proud, while you give him nothing to make him ring yours.
“Finally. Hi”
You didn’t know he was right behind you and his kiss brought you back on Earth. He was smiling handsomely and proud because his surprise worked on you, even though it took you a while to answer his question your reaction was worth it.
“You know my answer Tae. And to be honest I thought you forgot about asking me” you finally admitted, but your lack of faith in him didn’t hurt him one bit.
“Perfectly fine,” his arms swing around your waist and pulled you closer to him while you're sitting on the bench. “I’m free now and I don’t have prom committee duties. Can I flirt with you tonight?” the way he said it sounded just like old times, like the days when you were just starting as a couple.
The flirting was continued in his room of course, with his thick curtains down, Netflix playing and hands intertwined the whole time. And after the movie, you two cuddled in bed with you on top of him and just listening to his heartbeat.
“Does your heart beats for me?” you asked soft, hoping he would tell you the truth.
“Of course, you’re my first love” true. Even though you’re not his first girlfriend, you’re the first girl he ever loved.
“Your Love Alarm says otherwise Tae. I think I’m not giving you enough reasons to love me” you admitted. “You haven’t rung my alarm ever since our first fight”
“W-what? Maybe it’s off?” He was panicking, shaking because maybe it’s true. With quick movements, he left you on his bed to get his phone then looked for your phone in your bag and opened the app to see if what you’re saying is true.
His rang, of course, but yours didn’t.
“Tae it’s okay- It doesn’t matter. You know you proved to me that you love me even if you can’t ring my Love Alarm” you went beside him and hugged him from behind. Feeling his frustration and anger to himself but your hug helps him a lot. “You tell and show me you love me every day. I can feel it in how you kiss me, how you treat me with respect and how you’re always patient with me. Come on it’s okay, don’t ruin your day”
To make him feel better, you talked him out of his sulking and convinced him to go back to bed with you which eventually worked. You’re now sitting on top of him, grinding on his crotch, only wearing your panties and his hoodie. You can tell by the way he kisses you that he’s more than sorry about not ringing your Love Alarm and that makes your heart sad too because he didn’t do anything wrong.
“Let’s turn this night around,” you said before removing the hoodie that you’re wearing and making your boyfriend grip your boobs and play with your nipples while you kiss him and distract him as you undo his pants.
“Clever” and finally he smiles and puts one of your nipples in his mouth, hands inside your panties and spreading your ass cheeks before he inserts a finger in your wet slit.
After that night, Taeyong had a hard timing accepting that he can’t ring your Love Alarm again even though you told him so many times that it’s okay. Sometimes your conversation escalates too soon and he just ends up arguing with you. Soon fighting has become a weekly thing for the two of you whenever he brings up Love Alarm again. But that’s okay, couples fight and that’s normal.
On prom night, you purposely did not bring your phone so Taeyong will not try to make your Love Alarm ring. It’s going to be a beautiful night and you didn’t want to ruin it for him. You danced with your boyfriend and went crazy with him on the dance floor, you dance with your friends and ate good food. In other words, you had a great time.
And when the slow song started to play, everyone’s Love Alarm kept on ringing and people started to confess their feelings. It was amusing to watch and of course, you’re happy for them. But amidst that busy dance floor, that busy place, you and Taeyong had your own 10-meter radius and you don’t need Love Alarm to feel that you love each other.
“I’m sorry for giving you a hard time these past few days” he started, swaying you under slow music and not caring what's happening around you even though people are very loud and excited. “Let’s stop using Love Alarm. That app lies. I know all too well that I love you and even though I can’t ring your Love Alarm, I sure know how to love you”
“Mhmm. You do” oh you wanted to kiss him so badly but the teachers are looking.
“You still love me right?”
“Of course Taeyong. What kind of question is that?”
“I know, I just want to hear you say it” he came closer to you and kissed you on your temple when the teachers looked away, “You look beautiful tonight” he added and dance with you more, looking straight into your eyes and thanking you secretly for liking him first.
Now it's his turn to like and love you forevermore.

Dear Evan Hansen
Tumblr media
You may have seen some ~online discourse~ about the film Dear Evan Hansen, an adaptation of the 2016 Broadway musical, and you might have wondered what all the hubbub is about. I mean, it’s a feel good story about a senior in high school, Evan Hansen (Ben Platt), who has some pretty severe anxiety and depression. While trying to fulfill an assignment from his therapist to write a letter to himself, his letter gets picked up by another student, Connor (Colton Ryan) - and later that day, Connor kills himself. Connor’s grieving parents and sister Zoe (Amy Adams, Danny Pino, and Kaitlyn Dever) are desperate to learn more from the boy they think was Connor’s best friend - after all, Connor’s suicide note was a letter addressed to “Dear Evan Hansen.” And, as you can imagine, Evan tells them about the unfortunate mistake and sits with them in their grief as they struggle to pick up the pieces of their lives.
Just kidding! He lies to them, repeatedly, elaborately, expansively for months, constructing an entire false friendship with Connor that never happened, and ingratiating himself into the wealthy nuclear family he never had, in large part because he wants to get into Zoe’s pants! THIS IS THE PROTAGONIST OF THE STORY. Oh, and it’s a musical so there is a lot of singing and crying and singing WHILE crying and sometimes crying and not singing at all. But the #inspiration, you guys.
Things I liked:
Pretty much everything but the story and Ben Platt’s performance. The supporting cast is stacked, and all of them do a great job at elevating material scraped directly out of a diaper worn by someone who just chewed their way through a copy of the DSM-5.
A couple of the songs are damn catchy - “Waving Through a Window” and “You Will Be Found” are standouts for a reason - and here’s the thing, Platt sings them well. But as you’ll discover, there’s a lot more to a movie musical than just singing your part.
Stephen Chbosky, the man behind every deep thought I and a lot of people in my generation had in 2006 after he wrote The Perks of Being a Wallflower, is a pretty good director. I particularly enjoyed the fanvid-type cuts in “Waving Through a Window” in conjunction with the lyrics, and his use of interstitial shots to flashbacks (and sometimes flashforwards!) is a neat little bit of shorthand that I thought was used sparingly enough to be effective.
Amy Fucking Adams. She’s holding on so hard, so desperately to the idea of who her son could have been, rather than the reality of who he was, and she is full of such deep pain that is masked by an almost endless supply of patience with Evan and relentless positivity. All this made me want was Enchanted 2 even worse than I already did.
Super into everything Zoe wears - the costuming department did a great job, and now all I want to do is live in mom jeans and baggy sweaters.
Did I Cry? I teared up a couple of times because I’m not a completely heartless bastard and when Amy Adams offered Evan Connor’s college money, my heart broke for the lie Evan had thrust upon her, and Julianne Moore’s song got me good, because she’s just a single mom to Evan who is doing her goddamn best.
Things I hated more than the time I dropped a frozen gallon container of fruit cocktail on my pinkie toe in my parents’ garage and it turned black and I thought it was gonna fall off:
Ben Platt is 28 years old. He originated the role of Evan Hansen on Broadway, so in many respects it makes sense that he plays the role in the movie, except for the one kinda sorta important thing where he looks like a wizened old crone standing amongst a sea of children doing his best twitching, cringing Hunchback of Notre Dame impression. If you want someone to convincingly play 20 years their junior, hire Paul Rudd. Otherwise, please don’t ask me to believe that this supposed 18-year-old has crow’s feet.
And that twitching nervous energy is a huge part of the black hole at the center of this film - he’s playing to the cheap seats and walking through the halls of his high school like a wet chihuahua. It’s an excruciating acting choice to watch - he doesn’t just have anxiety, he is on the verge of a nervous breakdown seemingly every second of every day. Like honestly, where is only-mentioned-never-seen Dr. Sherman, because this young man’s meds are NOT WORKING DR. SHERMAN.
There’s such a lack of self-awareness on behalf of the writing, directing, and performance by Platt. There’s one song, “Sincerely, Me,” that offers the only glimpse of commentary about what Evan is doing, by pointing out the malicious ridiculousness of him writing a series of fake emails as proof of his and Connor’s friendship.
Also what high schoolers email this much?? I know this was written in probably 2014 or so, but has a bitch never heard of a text? Even a DM? This whole plot is constructed around the premise that high schoolers are just constantly, constantly emailing each other.
Everything - and I mean EV-ER-Y-THING - about Evan’s relationship with Zoe is so creepy and disturbing that with a soundtrack change, this could easily be a horror movie. He attempts to get her to like him by describing to her all the things her brother noticed about her - oh wait, I’m sorry, all the things HE noticed about her while he was skulking in the shadows following her around for years, watching every move she made, and it ends with him singing repeatedly “I LOVE YOU” because following a girl around and never having a conversation with her or knowing her at all is love, right? This was clearly written by the same people who chose “Every Breath You Take” as their wedding song because Sting is hot and they never actually listened to the damn words.
And it gets about 10 billion times worse when Zoe goes to Evan’s house alone, takes him up to his room, and sings “I don’t need reasons to want you” and that was the moment I was that person I hate in a movie theater and I pulled out my phone to Google who wrote the music and lyrics to the musical (we were in the back row of the theater no one was behind me THIS WAS AN OUTRAGE EMERGENCY) and of motherfucking course it was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, 2 men who heard about meeting an actual human woman from a friend one time but otherwise are unfamiliar with the concept.
Lastly, enormous serial killer vibes from Evan sending unlabeled flash drives anonymously through the mail with no note in an attempt to right his wrongs. That’s not catharsis, that’s how the next installment in the Saw franchise starts, with Evan in a Billy the clown doll mask showing up on the screen and asking if you want to play a fucking game.
Also, I know it’s not possible for the narrative to justify this in a way that could be satisfying based on Evan’s actions, but what is with this thing where single working-class mom Julianne Moore is turning down rich people’s money for Evan to go to college? Like, obviously we can’t have that happen in the movie but in real life, fuck your pride! Take those rich people’s money!
I also know how movies work but nothing annoys me more than a giant group of high schoolers all getting beeps and boops to indicate text notifications all at the same time because I don’t know a single person under the age of 55 who keeps their ringer on. That shit is on vibrate AT MOST, and I feel like that’s a millennial thing.
The emotional climax of the film is obviously Evan’s WAY TOO LATE confession, but the idea that it’s prompted by Connor’s family suddenly getting a lot of internet hate is, frankly, laughable. If Sandy Hook taught me one thing, it is that no tragedy is immune from trolls who live only to cause other people devastating emotional pain on the internet. That shit starts day 1. Apparently no one involved in this production has ever been on Twitter?
Also it feels like there should have been a dog somewhere in this movie and there was no dog, so points off for that too.
Perhaps Dear Evan Hansen isn’t nearly as deep as it aspires to be. Perhaps it’s a morality play, a simplistic message of “Don’t lie, kids, lying is bad!” Major studio movies wrap themselves up with a nice bow at the end so everyone can feel good about themselves and leave with a happy ending, but the moronic cruelty on display here makes that feat feel impossible. We’re left with Evan in an orchard, reading Connor’s favorite books and staring into the big blue sky with all the self-actualization he’s earned now as a lil treat. And if Evan Hansen looked like an actual 18-year-old, it would be a lot easier to extend more empathy to him and his not-fully-developed prefrontal cortex, but it’s a little harder with this fully-grown, weathered man who was old enough to remember seeing Liar Liar in theaters.
Dear Evan Hansen,
Get some actual help and a haircut and maybe you can grow up enough to have an actual healthy interaction with any other living person, ever.
Sincerely,
Me

Note
why do i have a feeling hawks and nagant don't actually have a relation to speak of whatsoever... Like currently it looks like she's the blueprint of all the stuff that could happen to him if he was rebellious that he knew of at like a hearsay level and one he tried to work his way around by seeming passive agressive... Like she looks just as isolated as hawks does ie rip both of them had no significant pacts outside the one with the hpsc
After this chapter, I'm /slightly/ inclined to agree but I think it's complicated on Hawks's end. I think they met once or twice, but more so Lady Nagant would have had a very big impression on Hawks's life and future career.
First off, @scarletrain1724 has a meta somewhere noting the gestures Hawks and Nagant exhibit are quite similar. It could be HPSC training to make them more approachable, but also it can be Hawks modeling himself early on an "model" hero (for him).
Two, I think the chapter shows at most she's in her early thirties and here's why. We see her in a seifuku uniform in a flash, which are more typically worn by junior high school students than high school ones (this is how we know initially PopStep was a middle school student and is now a senior in Vigilantes).
But take a look at this flashback:
Tumblr media
That's the commission president! Missing some wrinkles! And yet just seeing that, and there have been people who have rightfully pointed out that Horikoshi reserves wrinkles for women over 40 typically, it's really clear that she's likely in in her thirties.
So Nagant is anywhere from 12 to 15 in this picture. Just going by how she looks, President is in her 40s or 50s. It's likely been twenty years since then. She probably spent ten years or so under them.
Hawks was bought by the Commission somewhere around 17-15 years ago. What this is means is that Hawks, as a child, would have been the age to meet her, likely, and she would have just been starting as a hero. There might be have been interactions! But more interesting than that is what it means for Hawks to have grown up in the Commission after she killed the boss and defected. Just going by the calculations here, he was likely a tween when she did this, and I think that Hawks's life probably changed.
An asset like Nagant going rogue and throwing away her training and loyalty would have made anyone very paranoid. I'm guessing they had to completely reevaluate the way they treated assets like her in hindsight. Hawks was in the pipeline so perhaps they were even stricter in limiting his agency, but also made sure he was incredibly dependent on them. They, of course, had an advantage in taking Keigo when he was very young, seven at most, and the fact his childhood was so traumatic at that point that he didn't have an identity outside of a hero one created for him by the Commission. I also don't think Keigo was used like Nagant to kill people - at least not in this large numbers. Lady Nagant's clearly a popular hero, but she managed both hero work and assassin stuff. I think, for the sake of their project, Hawks would have been pushed towards hero work just a bit more since they realized one person having the burden of all that killing was asking for trouble. And while his quirk is likely fantastic for killing quietly, he's also worth more as an information gatherer. So, I think what influence Lady Nagant has was the fact that Keigo grew up in her shadow.
Tumblr media
Hawks, as one of Public Safety's heroes, would have seen this up close. To someone like Hawks, who prioritizes helping others/helping society at cost of everything else - his happiness, his friends, other people, what would it be like to see a hero who was his senpai, the person who he should have been like, throw it all away and cause such strife in the commission? What would it be like to know that she was in Tartarus and now everyone was looking at him, wondering if he'd follow in her footsteps? But this is Takami Keigo we're talking about; he's had to live with the burden of other people all his life with Thief Takami as his father.
Hawks grew into his heroism with the heavy burden of having to prove people he wasn't two people - he wasn't Lady Nagant, who betrayed his organization (no matter how much he can resent them), and he wasn't his villain father. Additionally given how the current chapters are very much implying that heteromorphs get perceived as villainous, and Hawks is significantly more heteromorphic than said villain father, there's three expectations Hawks has to prove wrong.
Tumblr media
We don't know if they had a relationship. I like to think he met her a few times, maybe even observed her. I'm still in the camp of Hawks not really functioning as an assassin for the HPSC even if he had training for it, so I don't think she would have trained him. But this line from Viz implies that it's Hawks that feels he should hunt her down, and it's clear it's due to the responsibility he feels as her 'kouhai' in the Commission. It's the duty he feels as her 'successor' who has been fighting the shadow she left on his organization since she left.

My Light in the Dark J-Hope x reader
Tumblr media
(not my gif)
Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!
BTS Hoseok (J-Hope) x reader
requests are open!
I will only refer to J-Hope as Hoseok or Hobi in this fic as it is a non-idol au as well as a university/college au
Mostly fluff but a little angst
I’m not too happy with the ending so I might change that later
Jung Hoseok, a person who can easily be misunderstood as a snobby arrogant rich kid. Hoseok, or Hobi as his friends call him, is anything but arrogant. He is a rich kid, yes, but he doesn’t act like your typical popular kid from a Hollywood show. If you can find someone who is friendlier and smiles more than Hobi, many would be shocked. Hoseok is an extremely kind person with an enormous heart who loves to dance more than anything. He is a person who was lucky to be born into a wealthy family but he has worked hard to become the person he is today. Now he’s a senior at one of the best performing arts universities in the world, of course he is studying art along with business marketing. Hoseok is top of his class, he studies hard and doesn’t take things for granted as many think.
(l/n) (y/n), a person who is also easily misunderstood. Most people think that (y/n) will be your typical, so-called, ‘boring nerd’ who does nothing but study all the time and hates others. While it might be true that she studies a lot, she is far from boring and she doesn’t hate everyone, just those who are mean and disrespectful. (y/n) is studying at the same university as Hoseok, she’s studying dance along with psychology. Different from Hoseok is that (y/n) was not born into a wealthy family and they have struggled a bit with paying for her tuition but they are making just enough with (y/n) working 2 part time jobs and her parents taking extra shifts at their workplaces when they can.
Or, that was how (y/n)’s 2 first years went. Then she met Hobi
Tumblr media
One of the part time jobs (y/n) had got was thanks to the university. One of her dance professors knew of a newly opened dance school for children not too far from the school that was looking for part time dance instructors and the professor put in a good word for (y/n) so that she would get one of the jobs. After she had worked there for 2 months, (y/n) was informed that a new instructor would be joining the team. A guy around (y/n)’s age who studied at the same school as (y/n). (y/n) and the new guy were supposed to become team instructors as the dance school had gotten so many students that just 1 instructor per class wasn’t enough. Even though her pay would become less than it was when she was alone, she needed the help from another instructor as she began struggling with keeping up her grades, the 2 jobs and proving her skills as a dancer at the university. Never did (y/n) ever think that the new instructor, a male student from the same university as her, would turn out to be Jung Hoseok. A junior at the university, perhaps the most popular guy at the university, rich guy, handsome, somewhat intimidating, talented Hoseok. (y/n) was immensely surprised when Hoseok walked into the dance studio, he looked around the small studio with a big smile before his eyes landed on (y/n) standing by the corner where you could plug in a phone to play music from or so. Hobi left his bag by another one laying close to the door, he concluded that it must have been (y/n)’s bag as she was the only other person in there other than Hoseok himself. After dropping his bag he walked over to (y/n), still wearing that big friendly smile of his. A smile that (y/n) had never really witnessed before, maybe she had only missed it or perhaps Hobi saves it for those who will truly appreciate it and not take advantage of it. Hoseok has experienced one too many friendships and relationships where the other person only cared about Hobi for his family’s wealth.
“Hello, I’m Jung Hoseok! Nice to meet you!” “Hi, I’m (L/n) (y/n). Nice to meet you too!” “I heard that you’re a student at HYBE University of Performing Arts(HYBE UPA). What year are you in? What exactly are you studying?” If (y/n) were to compare Hoseok and his energy to something it would definitely be an energetic golden retriever, although it was a bit much for her first meeting with him she couldn’t help but feel comfortable in his presence. “I’m a sophomore, studying dance and psychology. This might sound a little creepy but I’m quite aware of who you are. It’s hard to miss out when you’re the top student and the most popular guy,” (y/n) tried to give him a kind smile back although hers wasn't as genuine because she was clouded by nerves of being this close to him. (y/n) had seen him from a distance and thought he was absolutely breath-takingly handsome but seeing him close was very different, he was even more handsome than she thought. “Ahahah, I understand. We don’t have to talk more about that now though. I know you’re probably busy and have other things to do than spend your Saturday morning with me here when we don’t begin until tomorrow. But, do you think we could go through the program and the rutinue you have begun teaching the kids so that I can practice it and actually help out tomorrow,” Hoseok almost looked a little ashamed that he for once didn’t know a dance routine and needed to ask someone for help. Even if this would have been (y/n)’s one chance at sleeping in, she of course came to the studio to help her new partner out with a promise of extra pay from the dance school. “Don’t worry about it Hoseok -” “Hobi. Call me Hobi, all my friends call me that,” “Alright, well. Hobi, let’s get started on the routine and then we’ll go through the program. The routine isn’t completely finished yet so if you have any suggestions to what we could do for the second verse and onward please tell me,” (y/n) started the music and danced as far into the song as she had choreographed and then she showed what she had thought of before Hoseok himself stood up and easily copied her routine while adding in his own moves. They had only worked together for 30 minutes but they had already found harmony in their different dance styles and similarities. Resulting in a really cool choreography that was easy enough for the children but hard enough to impress almost anyone. They spent about 2 hours in the studio that day until (y/n) realized that she needed to head over to her other job and she was already a little late. “I’m sorry Hobi, but I really have to go now. I’m already behind schedule,” She began packing her things up in a hurry. “Where are you headed? If I may ask,” “My other part time job,” “Where do you work?” “Well here and at a café about a 20 minute bus ride from here,” “How long do you have until your shift starts?” “15 minutes,” “If you guide me I can give you a ride there, if should only take 10 minutes or less so if we go now you’ll be there in time,” “You really don’t have to Hobi,” “Of course I do, it’s my fault that you’re late,” He gave her a stern look that told her she didn’t have a choice but accept his wish of helping her out as she helped him. “Okay, let’s go!” The two exchanged numbers and the next day taught their first class together where all kids horrayed over having the best instructors ever.
After that, Hoseok made it a habit of asking (y/n) if she needed a ride to Dynamite (the dance school) or a ride from Dynamite to her other job or home. He loved spending time with the beautiful girl whom he hadn’t noticed before but now that he knows her he sees her everywhere. He might be the top student but (y/n) was a close second, many professors were often mentioning her name and praising her ambition and diligence. Hoseok found himself searching for (y/n) in the hallways, waiting for her by the school entrance to ask if she wanted a ride, he found himself thinking of her all the time and each day he found yet another reason as to why he didn’t see her as just a friend. (y/n) wasn’t any better herself, she found herself wanting to do even better at the university, at Dynamite, at her café job, in everything she did, all to impress Hoseok. The two were hopelessly in love with each other but oblivious to the other’s feelings.
Tumblr media
After knowing each other for almost 6 months, something changed though. Usually they would go out for coffee when they had the time, eat together and laugh during their breaks at Dynamite. But now, (y/n) always had dark eye bags, she was constantly tired, she rarely accepted rides from Hoseok anymore, they barely spoke now. The smile that Hobi fell in love with had been nowhere to be seen for at least a week. (y/n)’s grades were slipping, she was so tired that she almost hurt herself while executing a very complicated routine for her uni course. Hoseok and (y/n) had never really spoken about money before but Hobi concluded that (y/n)’s family most likely didn’t have a lot of it as she was working 2 part time jobs and barely spent any time doing anything other than study or work. He didn’t know what to do, he wanted to help but how? He knew that (y/n) wouldn’t just accept his money even if she really needed it and he didn’t. Hobi hoped that (y/n) would speak to him eventually about what was going on as he thought the two of them had become quite close friends during these 6 months. But another week passed by and the two hadn’t said more than ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’ when teaching the children. A few more days go by before the two instructors had an ‘employee’ meeting, only them, about choreographing the new routine for the children. Hobi thought it would be a perfect opportunity to speak to (y/n) again about everything. Maybe even a good opportunity to ask her out on an actual date.
When (y/n) arrived they began immediately with showing some ideas for songs and routines, the longer time went by and the more songs they played the more pale (y/n) became in Hobi’s eyes. He didn’t think too much of it until he saw her face looking more and more contorted with pain and sickness. Hobi noticed that (y/n)’s steps became more unsteady through the mirror and he turned around just in time to catch her as her knees gave out beneath her. Hobi slowly lowered them to the floor. “(y/n)?!?! What’s wrong? And don’t lie to me,” His eyes were filled with concern and something more but as (y/n) gazed into his shimmering eyes she couldn’t place the emotion she saw. “It’s nothing. I just stepped weirdly for the move and lost my balance,” “I told you not to lie to me. If that was all it was then you wouldn’t look like you are in pain, you wouldn’t look like you’ll pass out any minute, if that was all you wouldn’t have begun avoiding me, you wouldn’t let your grades slip, you wouldn’t look this miserable doing something you love: dancing,” Even as Hoseok’s voice was stern and serious his eyes still showed an immense worry for the girl he held in his arms as they sat there on the floor of the dance studio. “The truth isn’t beautiful and nothing that you should have to worry about. It’s my problem and I’m trying to deal with it, you don’t need to hear about it,” “Just tell me. Okay, if I didn’t care about you or didn’t actually want to know then I wouldn’t ask. Okay? But I’m here, I’m asking because I care about you. A lot. And I want to know what’s wrong so that I can help you,” “I’m struggling financially. HYBE UPA is quite expensive so in order for me to go there I have to work two part time jobs and my parents have been taking any extra shift they can to earn just enough money. But a couple of weeks ago my father was told that the company had to cut his work hours, a lot, because the company isn’t doing too well. Which means that I can’t really afford the tuition anymore so I tried working even more to earn the money but by doing so I exhausted myself and I haven’t had any time to study either so everything is just falling apart,” “Why didn’t you say anything earlier? I could have helped you,” “I didn’t want you to think that I was like those others you told me about. Those who were only your friends for the money. I’m not like that but if I were to ask for financial help I would be just like them,” “No you wouldn’t, I know you’re not like that. This proves it more than anything but please accept my help now because I can’t take it seeing you overwork yourself like this,” “Hobi, I don’t know-” “(y/n), I like you. I like you so much that I could even say that I love you, that I am in love with you and might even be dreaming of spending the rest of my life with you. My heart hurts seeing you being ready to give up on your dream because you can’t afford it,” “I like you too Hobi. Which is an even bigger reason as to why I can’t accept financial aid from you,” “It should be an even bigger reason as to why you should accept the help. I’ll make you a deal. If you help me for a big project I have coming up for my dance masters course, I’ll pay you just as I would with anyone helping me. And, I can also tell you that my father is hiring new employees at the company but applications aren’t until next week but I could put in a word for your father. I’m sure my family’s company will pay more than his current employer. And I have one more requirement… or more like question… will you go on a date with me?”
“Deal. I would want to argue with some of that but I’m guessing you wouldn’t let me do that. So, deal. And, yes! I would love to go on a date with you!” “Great, if your dad gets the job, which I know he will, can you promise me you’ll quit the café job and rest a little instead?” “If he earns enough and we can live comfortably, then yes I can promise that,” “Good. Now then, I am taking you to my apartment and we are gonna eat, watch 10 movies and just cuddle until you stop looking like you're sick” “You know, most people take that kind of date after the dinner date,” “Well, who says we have to be like others?”
Thanks to Hoseok, (y/n)’s father got the job at the Jung Family company where he earned a significantly larger amount than at his last job which meant that (y/n) could quit the café job, spend more time studying, dancing and most importantly spend more time with her new boyfriend. Hobi and (y/n) began making plans of wanting to open their own dance school in the future. They were discussing names and decided on “Light in the Dark” as (y/n) told Hosoek that he had been her light in the dark during one of the hardest times in her life.
Tumblr media
Fast forward to (y/n)’s last year at HYBE UPA
Hobi graduated the year before and was now looking over the construction of the building where the couple would have their dance school. As the gentleman he has been raised to be, Hoseok would always drive (y/n) to the university and pick her up. The freshmen would often stare at the handsome guy in expensive clothes, wearing sunglasses as he leans against a beautiful sports car waiting for someone. The freshmen would be intimidated seeing the stern look on the guy's face and then be fascinated with the bright smile that would light up the world as the guy’s eyes landed on a certain someone walking out from the university. A beautiful girl who would wave and smile at the guy, once she reached him they would envelop each other in a hug before the guy would place a sweet kiss on the girl’s lips. As they drive away, the rumours would spread talking about the handsome guy and the beautiful girl. But the couple barely notices the others as they are in their own little world with only themselves.

The relationships between the Adventure group and the 02 group
Tumblr media
As much as it would sound romantic to group the older Adventure six and the younger 02 juniors into one huge “group of twelve” all of the time, it’s undeniable that there’s a boundary between them, especially since there’s a different internal dynamic within each group as well -- of course, for important events or incidents like Diablomon Strikes Back, they’re capable of getting together as a whole, and they hand off information and call on each other freely for support over the course of 02, but once we start getting into “social life relationships”, things get a bit more complicated. Overall, we all know that the juniors adore and respect their seniors, and the seniors are happy to mentor and support their juniors, but the way each of the older Adventure six approaches the younger kids has an interesting variance from person to person!
Overall
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other sections of this post deal with how each of the “02 quartet” (Daisuke, Miyako, Iori, and Ken, or in other words the four Tokyo Chosen Children introduced in 02) interacts with individual seniors, but in general it should be established that each of the Adventure and 02 groups is always comfortable calling in the other for backup or assistance if necessary. This is especially accentuated in 02 episode 46 (when Daisuke ropes Taichi and the others into helping them do a full-on stakeout of the Dark Seed kids all over Tokyo, which is a lot of work), and Diablomon Strikes Back (when the initial mission was very obviously intended to have the older kids at the forefront and the younger ones as backup, before things went south).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s also indicated multiple times over the course of 02 that “sharing information” is a huge priority for everyone, especially with the D-Terminals in play that allow people to keep people in the loop about what’s going on, so that backup can be called in at any time -- see how quickly information passes from the juniors to the seniors during the crisis in 02 episode 7, or how Takeru and Hikari constantly keep each other posted on the situation and their whereabouts in the first half of Hurricane Touchdown. (This is especially when you keep in mind the real-life context that, in 2000, it wasn’t common yet for the average elementary school student to have a cell phone, so 02 deliberately inserted the D-Terminals into the lore so that this kind of communication could be possible, further tying into the overall franchise theme of the impact of technology on society.) There is no issue in 02 that’s caused by lack of communication (at least, unless it involves someone being emotionally unable to communicate), because of how quickly, easily, and constantly everyone is kept in the loop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Each group is a valuable resource for backup in any situation, and both groups have a clear and obvious sentiment of “wanting to help as much as they can” and “not wanting to be useless”; the Adventure seniors constantly express frustration over the course of the first half of 02 that they can’t do more, and do their best to provide as much support as they can within the restraints of the situation. Once evolutionary restrictions are lifted in the final quarter of the series and everyone goes on winter break, the older Adventure seniors start making a significantly larger number of appearances and directly getting involved without even needing to be asked; since everyone clearly wants to help each other out, there's no reason to refrain from seeking all of the help one can get. By the time of Kizuna, Daisuke (and, if the storyboards are to be believed, Ken too) is still on Koushirou’s call list even if he’s not present for that single incident, and Yamato loops them in to help scout on Menoa in New York since they’re in the right place in the right time.
Tumblr media
This is especially in the case of Koushirou, the team’s resident analyst, who can only do his analyses if he has all of the information he can possibly get; since the 02 kids can do certain things that he or the others can’t, he often asks them to do favors for him or provide him with info (such as borrowing Miyako’s D-3 in 02 episode 4, or having Daisuke test out opening a gate at the Yagami residence in 02 episode 17, or picking Ken’s brain in 02 episode 33) so that he has more to work with. It is generally advantageous for Koushirou to get as much as he can on the table and make use of, and since he has an important role in 02 as a personnel manager and team organizer, it’s in his best interest to use the 02 group as guinea pigs make extensive use of their own abilities, as much as he can.
With Daisuke
Daisuke is a very deferential person in general, so him treating his elders with utmost respect and deferring to them is kind of like saying water is wet, but there are some relationships in particular that stand out!
Tumblr media
Daisuke being Taichi’s soccer junior and “inheritor” of both his Crest of Courage and his goggles is of course one of the most iconic and well-known parts of 02, but it’s interesting to see how Taichi treats Daisuke in return. While it’s unclear if Taichi knew him as anything but yet another of his soccer juniors prior to the events of 02, there’s a lot to be said about how Taichi hands over his goggles without hesitation -- as much as we as the audience associate this with “leadership”, the 02 group doesn’t actually have a leader from an in-story perspective, and, in-universe, Taichi gave him his own goggles on account of the fact that Daisuke was a “new Chosen Child”...and also the fact Daisuke had just broken his own and he presumably felt bad for him. (How much Taichi was consciously aware that Daisuke was doing it specifically to imitate him will be left to your imagination, because Daisuke never actually vocalizes this to his face.)
That’s a pretty big deal of a thing to do, given that even if you don’t necessarily believe there’s a huge sentimental backstory behind those goggles, Taichi took off an item he’d been wearing for at least seven years and just handed them over! So in other words, Taichi really did believe in Daisuke’s potential enough to entrust him with something this important.
Tumblr media
We also see Taichi come to watch Daisuke’s game against the Tamachi team in 02 episode 8, and it should be pointed out that Taichi, being from Odaiba Middle School, had no practical reason to be at this game -- as far as the kids knew at the time, Ken had no connection to any of the Digital World incidents, and it was just a game that they all attended to give Daisuke their moral support, and so Taichi was mainly just here to watch how his junior would do in such an important match and give him advice. (Although, as Daisuke points out later in the episode, he’s pretty strict, too.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eight years later in Kizuna, in a scene where it’s established that Taichi is drifting enough from of the others to the point Yamato has to update him on them (Sora and Takeru), Taichi still seems to be roughly aware of what’s going on with Daisuke, despite neither of them playing soccer anymore -- and, of course, Daisuke seems to have always had utmost faith in him. (Also, Daisuke seems to have returned the goggles; we’ll leave to the imagination what might have led to that.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some interesting history about Daisuke’s relationship with the soccer club members: as per 02 episode 2, he was already at least roughly acquainted with Sora prior to her switching her sport to tennis, and, if the Adventure novels are to be believed, he was apparently already a member at the time of Adventure in 1999 (likely as an “unofficial member”, given that he would have been too young to formally enroll in it until Taichi had already graduated). If this is true, this would make him likely to be roughly acquainted with Koushirou as well. He was, at the very least, also around to overhear Taichi discussing the Digimon (although we don’t actually have all that much evidence that anyone was working that hard to keep it a secret).
According to Spring 2003, Daisuke is said to have picked up his goggles in imitation of “the person wearing goggles” whom he witnessed from afar during the Odaiba fog incident three years prior, not necessarily Taichi as his soccer club senior -- meaning that he may not have immediately recognized that they were the same person (although that certainly begs the question of how many people in Odaiba wear goggles; given that Daisuke seemed to just have a pair lying around at home, perhaps this is a normal fashion statement?). Taichi is portrayed as being much better at soccer than Daisuke is (Taichi was already a soccer captain in his fifth year while Daisuke didn’t even become a regular until his sixth), and so learning that they’re the same person at some point presumably solidified Daisuke’s personal image of Taichi as an absolutely incredible senior to look up to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daisuke infamously starts off on a bad note with Yamato in 02 episode 4 -- he insults an older sibling, something Yamato takes very personally, and it’s a bad mix of Daisuke’s abrasive demeanor and Yamato’s emotional passion -- but by the time of 02 episode 11, it all seems to be water under the bridge as Yamato treats Daisuke very endearingly after watching the process of him earning the Digimental of Friendship. (While it’s not stated in words, one might imagine that Yamato also became a lot more forgiving of Daisuke not being very respectful of Jun after personally witnessing how much of a handful she could be in 02 episode 7.) And, as Daisuke’s technically the inheritor of his Crest of Friendship, it’s interesting to point out that Daisuke arguably shares as many of Yamato’s personality traits as Taichi; he’s an intensely emotional person (far more so than Taichi is), and has somewhat of an awkward way of expressing himself.
Tumblr media
Yamato is also the Adventure group member who maintains contact with the 02 quartet over the course of Kizuna, and with Daisuke as the main representative calling back, he naturally goes straight into “happy puppy mode” the moment one of his seniors calls to ask him a favor. The novel refers to the 02 group as “reliable juniors they can count on” (which we can imagine reflects Yamato’s mindset at this point), and he also makes sure to check on whether the 02 group hasn’t also been subject to the ring of light issue, out of curiosity but also worry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While it’s less immediately apparent, Daisuke also forms a recurring relationship with Mimi. Interestingly, most of their interactions have to do with Mimi’s location in the US, with Mimi teasing him in an email in Hurricane Touchdown and inviting him to come over, Daisuke helping Mimi and Michael out in 02 episode 40, and Mimi getting a lot of mileage and fun out of teasing him in The Door to Summer (this trip is implied to at least partially have been planned with meeting Mimi in mind; perhaps Daisuke was following up on that email one year prior). All of this happening with no translator; one might say that Daisuke seems to be good at befriending Americans in New York, which is interesting when you consider that his English is implied to be reasonably good, and the fact he eventually opens his ramen shop in New York...
Both he and Mimi are pretty like-minded overall, being very pure-hearted people who love supporting others and are never condescending or consciously rude to others, so it’s easy to see why they’d get along.
With Miyako
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rather famously, Koushirou was Miyako’s computer club senior prior to the events of 02, and she still looks up to him and adores him (she even goes out of her way to bring souvenir yatsuhashi from Kyoto for him in 02 episode 34). Koushirou’s handling of her is rather professional -- he calls her “Miyako-kun” -- but this is, in general, more of a symptom of the fact that Koushirou isn’t exactly the kind of person who shows open affection for anyone, and he’s still dealing with the fact that he used to compulsively push people away, so being able to talk to anyone neutrally like this is already kind of a big step.
Tumblr media
This is especially because he’s got a pretty huge investment in the kids in general -- he’s one of the most visible of the seniors in 02, and while part of it is also because of his specialty in computers and his inquisitive personality driving him to take a very direct role in things, he also rails at the kids in worry in 02 episode 7 and continues to support the kids with actual support, providing them things they might find helpful or useful. So, in effect, it’s just that Koushirou has his own ways of showing support for his juniors, especially since his character arc has heavily to do with developing a skill in coordinating others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miyako continues working in the computer club under Koushirou even after entering middle school, and, eight years later in Kizuna, it seems that Koushirou is actively maintaining contact with Miyako (in the opening, he’s the one directly shown initiating contact via email), since she’s personally helping him with Chosen Child community management. There’s no computer club anymore and the group isn’t necessarily working as a cohesive group all of the time either, so this is something they’re actively involved in together...and Miyako is clearly comfortable enough to dump work that she doesn’t want to do on him. (He doesn’t seem to mind that much.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miyako first meets Mimi in 02 episode 6 and immediately latches onto her without hesitation, to the point of fantasizing about their relationship and labeling her “Mimi-oneesama” (big sister Mimi) thereafter. (Note that she only does this when it’s a very casual or playful situation, since 02 episode 14 later establishes that she’ll go back to the usual “Mimi-san” when things get more serious or her mood is worse.) Mimi answers to Miyako’s affection easily, given their similar temperaments, and they get along swimmingly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get a little more insight as to Miyako’s feelings on Mimi in 02 episode 14, where Miyako spends the duration of it negatively comparing her own behavior and personality to Mimi's kinder and more mature way of handling things, implying that she sees Mimi as an example to follow that she sees herself as not sufficiently reaching. Notably, in 02 episode 25, when Mimi takes charge and uses Miyako’s D-Terminal to request Ken’s help, Miyako doesn’t protest at all; it of course wasn’t helped by the fact Miyako herself was tussling with mixed feelings on Ken, but it’s worth pointing out that, after all of the vehement verbal arguing about the issue, Miyako respects Mimi’s decision enough to not protest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miyako also bonds a bit with Sora, both during her initial process of receiving her first Digimental in 02 episode 2, and during them working together in 02 episode 42. Miyako doesn’t seem to put her on as much of a pedestal as Mimi, but still very much defers to and respects her stance, and Sora is happy to indulge around and bond with her (note how casually she carries herself around Miyako).
Tumblr media
While we don’t see them interact much in the series proper, Miyako reveals in 02 episode 29 that she does sound engineering work for Yamato’s band (in conjunction with Koushirou), which she continues doing after entering middle school in Spring 2003 -- although it seems she’s having a hard time getting him (and everyone else) to embrace techno.
With Iori
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Among the Adventure seniors, Iori’s most notable relationship is with Jou, which is pretty interesting on its face given that this is the largest possible age gap among any two from this group (Iori is 9, Jou 15). Yet the two are put together in major situations no less than three times -- 02 episodes 5, 16, and 41 -- and with the first two depicting Jou as having a major role in mentoring Iori, in regards to the importance of personal choice and responsibility in being a Chosen Child (02 episode 5), and the conflict between moral principles and practicality (02 episode 16). A lot of the gist of Jou’s and Iori’s character arcs and dispositions are quite similar -- Jou himself struggled with trying to adhere to arbitrary standards without regard to practicality back in Adventure, and it’s because of this that he can figure out Iori’s mentality and reach out to him in a way he understands. For Iori, being a polite and respectful person in general, it’s only natural to expect that he would take very well to Jou being an admirable and honest model citizen.
Tumblr media
Iori also receives his initial Digimental consultation from Koushirou in 02 episode 3, and, like with how Daisuke and Miyako also have some degree of personality traits relevant to the characters they inherit their Crests from, Iori also has some characteristics that evoke Koushirou as well, most prominently his tendency towards politeness and deference (albeit for different reasons). While they don’t end up following similar paths for the rest of the series due to Koushirou’s “curiosity” being more about intellectual knowledge and Iori’s “curiosity” being more about human behavior and psychology, Koushirou does correctly identify Iori as having the potential for that kind of inquisitiveness in said episode long before the relevant character arc clearly sets in, allowing Iori to claim the Digimental of Knowledge.
With Ken
Due to the late position of when he’d joined the team and the even later position in which everyone came to like him, Ken isn’t shown necessarily bonding too deeply with many of the seniors, although it’s clear that they all came around for him in the end. That said, some of his limited interactions or interactions by proxy with the seniors end up fairly notable:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ken has a long and extended chat with Koushirou in 02 episode 33, which is interesting because it’s a point in time when not even everyone in the 02 group itself was particularly receptive to him yet (at the time Hikari and Takeru were still maintaining silence on their stance on him, and Iori still ironing out a lot of complicated feelings about his presence). Yet Koushirou has no qualms whatsoever approaching him and picking his brain about what he knows, since Ken, as a hitherto unknown factor with a lot of background information that Koushirou could make extensive use of, has a lot to offer him. That said, he’s not just using Ken as a resource for intellectual purposes; Koushirou offers him emotional goodwill in his own way, hearing about how Oikawa had targeted Ken and even lamenting that it would have been better if the older kids had reached out to him first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During 02 episode 25, Mimi makes an active bid to reach out to Ken when Golemon is about to destroy the dam, in the midst of everyone having an argument over whether to allow him to help (and not only that, she’s vehement about doing so). Recall that Mimi is forgiving to a fault, allowing herself to get beaten up by Digitamamon in 02 episode 14 and refusing to give up on him despite knowing he was actively brainwashed -- so it stands to reason that she’s actually one of the most receptive to Ken, even moreso than the more emotionally overwhelmed Miyako, and offering him a chance to join in (she’s never really been depicted as the type to hold grudges).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Iori’s consultation of him in 02 episode 35, Yamato makes a remark regarding Ken pointing out that he and Takeru have technically gone through the same experience in witnessing the death of a partner, which means he’s actually willing to cast Ken in a sympathetic light at this point! Once Ken has integrated more smoothly with the others, Yamato and Ken work together in 02 episode 42, and they get along swimmingly with zero discomfort at all (not only that, Yamato’s dropped the honorific, going from 02 episode 35′s “Ichijouji-kun” to the more casual “Ichijouji”). Not bad!
