Anyway I need to talk about how much I despise when the mad hatter is written as a creep, as an autistic person who’s had obsessions with kids media before I hate how that’s really often peoples main reason. I much prefer when he’s someone who’s just suffering from delusions and a warped reality that stems from his fixations. Justice for Jervis 2025.

PLATONIC! J-SQUAD X CHILD READER (HEADCANNONS)

JEROME VALESKA:

Welp, good luck, my friend

- You would be one of his hostages who he was planning to kill. Patiently waiting your turn for your fun death. You had an abusive / less than kind family member with you at the time who had forced you to go there.

- When realizing that you two two were a little family unit, he decides to amuse himself a little.

- " Hey, hey you!" He would yell at one of his goons. " Tye them up to that uhhhh. . . That spinning wheel thing. And bring the kid over to me."

- Tying your family member up, Jerome places one of three throwing daggers in your hand( crowching down if you're small) while kind of just coaching you on how to throw them.

- What a surprise for him when not only do you do it without hesitation, but with a small smile on your face.

- That's when he goes, " Alright, change of plans, I like this kid." And immediately takes you under his wing

- There is never a dull moment with this man. There are plenty of bloody and horrific ones, sure. But never dull.

- Will make you kill the rest of your family members or do it himself if you can't. You're his now, and he doesn't need anyone trying to get in the way of that or distracting you.

- Sees himself as more of a mentor figure to you rather than an actual parent. But if you do end up calling him dad, he's not complaining.

- Takes you along with him for many of his usual, murderous antics. No matter how old you are, even if you are on the much younger side. "Best to teach them young," He would say.

- Praises you a lot whenever you decided to join in on the fun and always makes either his goons or his hostages cheer for you.

-If you're more on the socially anxious side, he'll try to put you in the spotlight less often and leave your killings as just some private family bonding time.

- This man CANNOT cook. He would burn whatever place he was staying out down to the ground if he tried.

- Gives you a lot of freedom to have fun and do whatever, but don't think that means you're allowed to leave or disobey him. You're still his protégé and need to listen to what he says.

- If you are on the younger side, that list of freedoms would be much shorter.

- He would want you around his vicinity or next to him and would make some of his goons keep an eye on you if he was busy with something.

- Lots of physical affection and inside jokes from this guy.

- All in all: Getting a child wasn't something Jerome had on his bucket list. But he's not really complaining.

JERVIS TETCH:

- To say this man is obsessive is the understatement of the century

- Spots you in the crowd at one of his performances and chooses you as his willing participant

- You might as well forget your parents now, because he'll have already hypnotized them to walk into traffic or jump off a building.

- Unlike the other two, Jervis will expect for you to see him as your dad.

- Will plan extravagant teaparties with all your favorite teas and sweets. And if you're not a sweets kind of person, then he'll put out more savory stuff like sandwiches as soupes.

- Hope you like fancy outfits, because you'll be wearing a lot of them. But don't worry, he'll try to find some that you're comfortable in.

- Doesn't give you a whole lot of freedom. Especially if you're on the much younger side.

- He'll also just randomly picks you up and carry you around with him if you're small enough for him to do so.

- Will not hesitate to hypnotize you and tie you up if he feels it is necessary. So you nest behave

- Usually reads bedtime stories to you, no matter how old you are.

- In conclusion, this man is obsessive and delusional. So just sit back, relax, and let your new papa take care of you.

JONATHAN CRANE:

-Well, this is rather unexpected. He never really saw himself taking care of a child

- He met you at Arkham: His cell next to yours. And you two would talk through the walls whenever a day was especially boring.

- After a while, he warmed up rather well to you. He starts to see you more as family in a way and immediately gets you out of your cell when a breakout in the asylum starts.

- Keeps you far away from your previous family members if you have any. He wouldn't kill them the first time per-say, just . . . Scare them away.

- The second time, he would be much less merciful. They had their chance and should have listened.

- He doesn't let you get too close to him when he's working on his projects in fear of you accidently getting hurt. But if you're an older teenager, he would ask if you would like to try and face your fears.

- He wouldn't force anything, though.

- You see him more as an older brother type figure rather than a parental one.

- Agian, if you are older, he doesn't really let you participate in his antics and usually lets you stay home if he trusts you. But will just bring you along to watch if you're much younger.

- A decent cook all things considered. Not the best by any means, but at least it's not a burt piece of charcoal.

- Will sit and talk with you whenever you need it. He's a pretty good listener.

- He can also get really protective a times, no matter what age you are, and will not hesitate to fear gas somebody.

- Not the best when it comes to physical affection. But will give you some if you want it.

- Although you entering his life was unexpected. Jonathan has found himself enjoying your company a lot more than he ever thought he would. It's probably the only thing good that ever came from being trapped in arkham.

BASIC INFORMATION - PERSONAL HEADCANONS

Jonathan Crane

They/it/he - Agender/Queer Hypersexual [He’s not super strict on labels or pronouns]

He's still a soggy puppy-dog, but he's a bit more grumpy and introverted. Not really enjoying the company of others, and especially being touched. His main goal at the moment is to teach an important lesson, that being fear.

Edward Nygma

He/him - AroAce Biromantic

EDWARD “BITCH” NYGMA. A stuck-up smartass in his own charming way, always proving his intelligence and skill, and sharing his weird hyperfixation with puzzles. His current goal is to outwit Batman, and have fun with crime.

Jervis Tetch

He/him - Straight/Questioning

He's just a little hatter finding his Alice, and perhaps rebuilding his wonderland. Though he's more friendly than most rogues, his delusions and manic episodes are quite common, and they often overwhelm his logical side. But he's trying his best to improve.

Oh sweetie

This man genuinely lets out as gasp and has to stop for a second.

He partially can’t fathom it because,you’re dating him? He only goes for the best of course

But then he also realizes ah,no wait he’s the smartest man in the world and self humbles himself really quick

“Dear I simply wouldn’t have you as a partner if I thought you weren’t intelligent!”

He starts getting “stuck” on a few of his more harmless riddles,genuinely challenging to you but something he figured out when he first saw them

A bit of positive assurance goes a long way,turns out PDA has a use for other things outside of intimacy

Scarecrow

It hits especially hard for him due to his past of being a teacher

A truly intelligent person is knocked down by those beneath them then forced to let those feelings simmer

But with him? It’s a different story

“Well for starters you see the appeal of my work so your a cut above most I’ll say”

He knows he has to give you some confidence so he goes to what he knows best:chemistry.

And it goes hard

This man practically has you working on the most complex stuff ever but because he knows you can do it

You thought you’d be making the safest compounds in the world? Oh dear naive one

And he’s swooning over you the entire time

Mad hatter

This also hits him personally with his background in neuroscience

“Oh now dear you’re intelligent as they come!”

He’s gushing over you now,I don’t make the rules

He even teaches you about his cards! Theres a feather in your cap for some intelligence

Mind your this is all happening while he’s still gushing about you and how smart you are because jervis is big on words of affirmation

Headcanons for Jonathan Crane as a parent:

•Whether it be his biological child or one he adopted Jonathan will be incredibly worried about raising it. He never had a good parental guidance in his life, all he has are examples of what not to do to a child. He will need his partner reassurance that he can do this.

•You can bet your money that he in week read more then fair share of books about parenting, he learns all stages of child development and any signs he should look out for.

•With his knowledge on nursery rhymes, lullabies and poems he make sure he has a set of new ones each night. Staying with his kid until they fall asleep. He has notebook that keeps track of his child favourite ones, noting if something changes.

•And if the child wakes him up at night? Depending on the cause he will deal with it differently. If it's a nightmare? He invites his child to sleep with him and his partner, while he holds them both close. But if the "monster" that woke them up? He makes display of putting on his mask and taking his glove, barging into child's room, looking under bed and making it seem like the monster run away at sight of him. After that he stay with his child until they fall asleep.

•He ask other rogues for advice more often then not. He ask Harley for all kinds of fun but safe toys and gadgets while he will consult Edward on stimulating kind of riddles and puzzles he would recommend for developing child. He would ask Jervis for advice on tea parties and dolls. He also would refer to Pamela for advice about herbs in case his child has a stomach ache or headache, maybe something soothing before bed.

•Speaking of toys, his child would be given all kinds of plushies and staff toys to play or sleep with it. He would even created a scarecrow plushie he made, refer to him, as "Mr. Hay" and tell his child it will be guard them when he isn't around.

•He can and will train his Crows to watch over his child and imidiatly alarm him if something is wrong. Whenever he sees his "feather children" play with his real child he will get move, but deny if question about it.

•As child he knew what a true fear feels like, so he makes sure his child is never forced to feel it ever. He will help his child overcome or just managed any phobias of fear they have. What kind of "master of fear" would he be if he couldn't help his child with it?

•When the child's get's older he will teach them how to make his most simple fear toxin for self defense purposes. While he would be more then happy to teach his child all he knows about fear and show them how to make all his different fear toxins. He would never forced child to fallow his footsteps, just teach them nessesity and if the child wants to learn more? He will happily teach them, adjusting everything to his child knowledge and age.

•He will make his child a matching little costume so they can be "like they dad!"

•Whenever his child get's into new book series he make sure to read them so he could talk to them about that books, if it's anything else like TV series or games? He will try his best to also research on the topic. He just wants to know what his child likes.

•God have mercy if his child is bullied in school. He will rage a storm that will explain to everyone while he is "God of fear in human form". But if he finds, it's mostly because other parents badmouth his child and they children just reapeat what they heard? Well he just found his new "volunteers" for his newest batch of most potent fear toxin.

•He will support his child whenever they seek higher education or want to look for career imidiatly after highschool and if the child wants to fallow his footsteps into criminal carrier, he will show them the ropes and take them as his sidekick (They will have to be at lest 15, but even then he never brings them if he expects anything dangerous might happen).

•While in private I imagine he let's his southern drawl slip more often, he becomes proud of his child picks up on it and develops one of they own.

•He is kind of father that would teach his child all kinds of skill they would need. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, how to fix the car, a basic electrical work, how to escape heavily guarded asulum, you know the nessesities.

•He will make sure to always let his child know how beautiful they are. He will work with them if they have any esteem issues, he knows better then anyone what it's like. He specially feels responsibility if the child inherited his Marfan syndrome or Stahl's ears, or any appearance altering issue.

•While he knows he isn't perfect dad, he tries. He feels like failure whenever he feels he let his child see him at low point or doing some bad sytuation. He specially will have hard not to break if child just hug him better. In private he will cry about being a failure, but after gentle reassurance he doing good, he will take his child for ice cream and them them how much he lives them.

•He is great listener, always listening to his child stories. He also takes they ploblems serious, since he knows it's important to them. He will always get to source of ploblem and help them fix it.

•I think if possible he would love to raise his child on the farm or at lest take his child often into countryside.

•And if someone tries to hurt his child to get to him. Oh boy they as good as dead, you will not only have a furious Scarecrow and his partner after you, but also all kinds of rogues who serve as aunts and uncles to that child. They might be only few rules amongst the rogues that they all agree on, but "Don't hurt or involve children" is golden one they all respect.

•Jonathan might struggle a lot, but every "I love you dad" makes it worth it for him in the end. He is happy to give his child live full of love without fear he never had.

The Valeska Twins Caregiver Headcanons

Warnings- Canon-Typical Violence/Mentions of Murder

Jerome Valeska

Jerome is an extremely chaotic caregiver, but he's also an extremely loving caregiver

Despite the way he was abused as a child or maybe because of the way he was treated Jerome is incredibly soft with you. He may come off as intense, but the only raise of his voice you receive is one of excitement.

Jerome really loves doing things with you. Even though he loves causing distress and chaos in Gotham he loves causing miniature chaos with you almost a little bit more.

He likes to take you out for a night of excitement. The interesting part is how bloody those nights are for him and yet you never see a bit of violence.

Jerome is actually really protective of his little. When you're small you aren't allowed near any violence. When you're little you aren't allowed to witness any bad language or gestures.

Some of his followers have been killed for simply cursing in your vicinity. It's even more funny because a few of those times you weren't even regressed.

He's also incredibly protective (possessive) in the sense that he will kill anyone who seems to be stepping into that caregiver role too much. He is your dad! No one else.

Jerome is super encouraging of any interest, though he is partial to watching Spongebob over Bluey. Or even My Little Pony over Care Bears.

He really loves doing arts and crafts with you, and any coloring pages or drawings you gift him are hung up on the fridge. Eventually Jervis convinced him to rotate them into a scrapbook because the fridge was overflowing with your masterpieces.

Speaking of Jervis and Jonathan are your favorite and only uncles. Both are really good with you and actually really enjoy babysitting you. Quite a few of your toys are from Jonathan and quite a few of your outfits are from Jervis.

Jerome can be very overwhelming, but he can be very calming too. He always has one of your comfort items nearby and he has memorized every action that you find the most comforting/relaxing.

This man is among the best at telling bedtime stories, no books needed. It makes bedtime all the more fun and soothing.

He handles tantrums surprisingly well, toning down his own whirlwind of thoughts to comfort you and yours.

Jerome is undeniably good at making his little laugh. His jokes are the best and he isn't above looking like a fool just to see you smile.

Jerome is surprisingly a really good caregiver, of course he has faults like feeding you ice cream for dinner, but he does his best and he really loves his little and would burn down the world for you.

Jeremiah Valeska

Jeremiah is an extremely intense caregiver, but he's also an extremely comforting one.

In almost every situation Jeremiah retains an air of calmness. When he isn't calm the anger is never pointed at you. He's never once yelled at his little and he never will.

Unlike Jerome, Jeremiah's protectiveness leads to you being inside most of the time. The rare times you are allowed out, especially when little, it's in an excluded, private place or something he specifically curated/staged for you.

Most of the people around Jeremiah or even most of the GCPD don't know you even exist and those who do refuse to interact, for good reason too.

Jeremiah finds everything about you fascinating, whether you're big or small. He encourages every interest or obsession.

If he had to pick Jeremiah would choose reading a book to you over sitting you in front of a tv, but he can't deny his slight interest in that "stupid" ninja turtle show you keep making him watch.

Jeremiah particularly enjoys teaching you reading, writing, and math while you're regressed. Don't worry he isn't all strictness and no play, you have a huge playroom that's filled with toys that you frequent often.

Echo has had to stop him many times from buying you anymore toys, and even then he often ignores her.

Speaking of Echo she's the best auntie you've got and the only person allowed to interact with you. That is if you like her. If you show any sign that you don't like her then Jeremiah will forbid her from interacting with you.

Jeremiah can be very stunted when it comes to showing emotions, so it can be hard to tell if he's sincere or angry or happy. Thankfully his actions are easy to track and he will do very distinct things to help you identify easier.

As much as he denies it Jeremiah loves to hold and cuddle you. If you've had a nightmare or even just ask to sleep with him he hops onto the opportunity. It's also a good way to pull him from his work.

Jeremiah has a list of all the things that help calm you down or comfort you, Any item, action, or word that might help you he has listed in his head.

He handles tantrums with the most poise a caregiver could have. Jeremiah very easily validates your emotions and calms them all at once.

Jeremiah loves to do puzzles with you and has drawn up many mazes for you to solve, through some trial and error as the first few were too difficult for your little mind.

Overall Jeremiah is a really good caregiver, he can be standoffish, but he really loves you and would do anything for his little.

The Valeska Twins

Lets just preface this by saying together these men are menaces. You have to be a very special case to get them to work together, which you are.

Jerome and Jeremiah will argue constantly over who gets to do what with you. They constantly argue with each other for your attention in and out of your regression. They argue about rules and schedules. Essentially if they can disagree on it they will.

Speaking of disagreements, let's mention the few things they do agree on. No one is allowed to take care of you while regressed except them, there's two of them so there's no need for a babysitter in their heads. A baby bag is a must even if you aren't little, there is no reason for them not to have your comfort items. They both get an equal amount of time with you. You're not allowed to hear any cursing or violence while regressed and even when big they're iffy on it with you.

Your bedroom is right in between their bedrooms, your playroom is right across from the office, and your bathroom attaches to theirs. There's also a play area in their office.

Heaven forbid you get hurt or sick. Jeremiah and Jerome will coddle you until you can't think anymore. I can see Jerome swaddling you in a blanket while Jeremiah feeds you soup or your favorite comfort meal.

Often they alternate between who watches you because they don't want to fight too much in front of you. When they do watch you together it's often filled with vaguely threatening or even simply petty comments thrown at each other. They will always put up with each other for you. You want to watch a movie with both of them? They guess that's not too bad. You want to have a tea party and they both HAVE to be there? Ehh, okay, why not?

Let's be honest they spoil their little so much, there's no way you don't become a spoiled brat. You want a new toy, you got it. You want something for dinner, you get it. You want to do this, you get to do it.

While Jeremiah can be very heavy in gift giving Jerome leans more into quality time. While Jerome is very open with his physical affection Jeremiah hides his desperation for it. While Jerome says a lot of words of affirmation Jeremiah leans more into acts of service.

They balance out each other's flaws which makes the dynamic much more healthier for you. Jeremiah's letting you stay up past your bedtime? Absolutely not, Jerome's taking you to bed now. Jerome wants to take you for a joyride in a cop car? Absolutely not, Jeremiah's taking you to the park.

Summary: Jervis attempts to teach you a new poem in his own 'special' way.

"How doth the little crocod-"

Snapping off your recital with a sharp gasp, your fingers curl around the edge of the table until the whites of your knuckles appear as you fight the urge to press your knees together and escape the torment you were being subject to.

"Alice!" A slightly muffled yet pointed tone breaks through your concentration and you glance down at the delicate tablecloth which covers both the wooden table and the wicked man hidden below.

"You have failed, silly girl! Again!"

Arousal dropping his higher-pitched tone down a few notches, Jervis sounded positively smug as his hands pressed roughly into your thighs - his hot breath ghosting across your sex as he remained between your legs.

Coughing, you begin again.

"How doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail, and pour the wat-Hatter!"

A/N: Hello again! I must admit this is a very self-indulgent fic since I have quite the collection of facial piercings. Most of the other fics I see of him the reader seems to have a similar style to Jervis so I thought that maybe he would like something different now and then... enjoy!!

OK, first of all, you look so cool!

Well, a little intimidating at first glance but cool nonetheless!

And Jervis is a little bit turned on by it...

He loves to count your piercings as a form of grounding technique

Be it your facial piercings or your ears he finds them the most beautiful thing ever!

But he has to admit it, your style is not usually something he woud go after.

I mean, he always thought that he woud prefer someone with a more sweet style, something soft and a bit warm...

But you came barging into his life like a big bird of pray and he was caught by you instantly!

His new favorite past time now is to scroll through piercings shops and show you some jewelry that he thinks will look so good on you!

Be prepared to be surrounded by Alice in Wonderland themed piercings

But honestly, his efforts are so cute you can't help be charmed by his desire to match with each other!

When you want to get a new one he will insist on going with you, after all he has to make sure that the shop is a reliable place!

None of that piercing gun or other questionable apparatus!

And maybe he will start to look a bit to hard at the blue ear display...

Maybe you should convince him to get at least his lobes pierced

Just one on the ear, a small one...

When is time to get it done he would be panicking a little, especially after seeing the needle

You have to offer to hold his hand even though you are the one getting pierced!

But with a little encouragement he will let the piercer do his ears. With a little but of gold, and a blue crystal... something tiny and delicate...

And in the end he will realize that it did not hurt at all! He was really worried about that!

You will have to teach him how to clean it and remind him when to go get it downsized, that boy can barely take care of himself....

Even though he will get ugly looks from his landlady, the kids love it!

They think is so romantic you guys get to share them in common!

You will catch him looking through your magazines, and even though he will not admit it, he will be looking forward to getting his second hole pierced

As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games begin, Laura Wright is in Edinburgh to celebrate the faith of Olympians and Paralympians past and present. And she speaks to HRH the Princess Royal to reflect on the legacy of Scottish sporting hero and Christian missionary Eric Liddell.

At St Giles’ Cathedral, Laura joins a special service commemorating Eric, 100 years after he dramatically won gold at the Paris 1924 Olympics. The story of Eric’s 400m triumph was later made famous in the Oscar-winning film Chariots of Fire, and Eric’s eldest daughter tells Laura about her father’s great faith and shares the story of him choosing not to run in his favoured 100m as the heats fell on a Sunday. And the Princess Royal, Patron of the Eric Liddell 100 initiative, reflects on Eric’s achievements and values, and what they can teach young people today.

What is Jon's relationship with crows? Does he have one or multiple?

Jon isn't the biggest fan of most animals (as depicted in that shitpost-y Jervis & Jon thing awhile back). He just doesn't really care about them like other people do, and finds them more of a nuisance than anything else

THAT BEING SAID. Crows are the ONLY animal that Jon actually likes. Partly because they helped torment his grandmother way back when he was a kid, partly because of the spook factor, and partly because they're so smart

I wouldn't say Jon really keeps any as pets, though. He appreciates the independence of the wild crow, so much like the hundreds of stray alley cats in Gotham he lets them do their own thing for the most part. If they wanna fly in and hang out, then he'll take care of them or teach them how to do tricks. Ofc he's also trained them to bring him things across the city. Jon tends to be surrounded by at least one or two crows whenever he's outside because of how much he feeds them (and they know him even when he's in costume, so there's some added spook)

Basically he's like Selina and her cats except with crows. The crowman if you will
