#14 Bowser

The fearsome King of the Koopas.

Where do I even start? He’s a total badass, I love his character design it’s so outside the box! Who would’ve thought that a dragon turtle would make the perfect antagonist for an italian plumber.

Bowser is part of my first memory ever playing videogames as a kid, the first thing I ever saw was him and Mario having an intense battle on a bridge above lava in his dark castle on the SNES.

Besides being a total beefcake, he’s actually got a great personality and a lot of charm, he can be a total dick, but also, funny, proud and kind.

My favorite version of his is from Super Mario RPG on the SNES, that was the first time I was able to play as him, and he is so well written in that game, you cawn’t help but love him.

Bowser is one of my all-time favorite videogame villains (and characters in general) and I had a blast drawing him :)

#16 Sheik

The last survivor of the legendary Sheikah clan.

The first time I ever saw Sheik while playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on my Nintendo 64, I thought he was the coolest character ever and I remember really hoping it would be possible to play as him in an imaginary co-op mode with my friends haha.

He’s such a cool character, with its ninja theme, mysterioys backstory, elegant posture and boy that plot twist with Princess Zelda was amazing back in the day! It really caught me off guard as a kid.

When Sheik was added to the smash roster in Melee it made me so happy since I wanted to play as him for so long. Hopefully we’ll eventually get more characters from the Zelda universe in smash some day, it’s such a great series (and having 3 different Links doesn’t count haha)
