He gently leads you towards this profoundly upsetting information, the most damning evidence thus far of how completely fucked you are, just, like, as a human. Reckless, impulsive, suicidal. When you eventually piece it together, he comforts you with sincerity. This is the man who reminds you at every conversational tangent that you are on a deadline, who has to be cajoled into playing a board game with you for a couple hours. And yet he sits with you on the swings until the tide goes out, all so he can catch you when you start to fall apart.

Everyone's mad at everyone! Heather, Cherry, and Kirsten are mad at Matt! Kirsten's mad at Cherry! Luca's mad at Fisk! Daniel's mad at BB!

Matt, STOP using sex as a distraction, please, I beg of you. It's sexy but it's unhealthy. Also: holy crap, he flat out said it to Heather!! His life feels fake. He quickly followed it with an "uhh not u tho sweetie, ilu <3" but like, wee all know that's not true. Goodness.

Everything out of Fisk's mouth makes me laugh. He's so absurd. "Blue collar millionaires", gtfo of here. And his little rant about "Daredevil beat up my friends 😡😢", like he didn't murder many MANY people over those first 10 years of business.

Detective Kim remains the MVP of the current police roster. She got that Muse ID so damn fast and she didn't need to be part of Fisk's task force to do it. ("Thin dark line protecting the city" BARF)

Meanwhile Matt is just rubbing his DNA all over active crime scenes. Just how much of his blood is in that lair, do you think?

Once again, to my ultimate dismay, Kirsten gets little to no screentime. Ugh. She does seem pretty close to fed up and firing Matt from the firm, though, which would honestly be deserved.

What game are Vanessa and Wilson playing? Was she playing Luca in that final scene? I really can't tell and it's making me nervous. The show is holding those cards very close to the chest.

Finally, is that the end of Muse? Feels... too fast.

Bonus laugh: Daredevil crashing through the window! I was literally thinking of making a post about all the windows getting smashed in the comics, but didn't want to commit the time to find the panels. Trust me, it's a lot! So I laughed extra hard.

🧣what comforts ur oc? is it an item? an action? a person? whatever it is, how and why does it comfort them? | basically any action where she feels In Control. the most discomforted she gets is when she feels like things are slipping, like she is slipping, and losing a handle on herself or a situation. oh, she missed her mark (riza, and also to a lesser extent roy but this aint about him) for the first time like Ever and now the mark has clipped her shoulder with a lucky shot (also a first), and gotten away? she is now going to throw away all protocol And her contract to personally kidnap her mark and torture/kill her with her bare hands. that will make her not feel like everything is crashing down around her! it will surely not backfire and spin even more wildly Out of her control and put a target on Her back, forcing her to flee her homeland! oh, riza is going to beat her in a brawl and spare her life despite begging to be put out of her misery before she is captured/tortured/killed by her military for deserting/becoming useless to them, and now shes also feeling intense lust towards riza because shes beautiful and kind and feigas sexual awakening? time to help riza escape the country and never see her again because the only course of action here is to Get That Woman The Hell Away From Me Before I Explode. Badly.

eventually i think beth becomes a greater source of comfort for feiga and helps her cope with things when they fall out of her control, and just hearing beths words of encouragement and belief and faith in feiga, as well as her physical presence and affection, does a lot if she finds herself stressed over whatever. also BEACH TRIPS!!! feiga needs the ocean. she needs to sit in the sand and listen to the waves and ponder the deep dark. it will heal her.

Gosh do I have a type and they're all Old Men and Tragic Ladies my beloved. Let's go!! 1. Varric Tethras (Dragon Age 2): he shot right through my heart with that crossbow THE LITERAL SECOND he came on screen and I've been cursing Bioware ever since. He is a nonromanceable short king and I have never wanted anyone more thx. 2. Nakmor Drack (Mass Effect Andromeda): the Tempest Crew is so freaking charming, and while I love my jelly fish cat aliens the Angara, my favorite character is absolutely this old cantakerous grandpa Krogan. Whom, much like Wrex, I wish I could romance. (p.s. there is a TEASE of a flirt option and u can imagine how little that helped my case) 3. Spock (literally every Star Trek iteration): He is my Everything. Nemoy, Quinto, and Peck all bring something unique to the character's portrayal. I love him in every universe and I can never get enough of this EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED NERD.

4. Alicent Hightower (House of the Dragon): one half of my divorced lesbinems and I feel so much for her and the tragedy/complexity of both her character and the heartwrenching slow decay of her r/s with Rhaenyra. I cannot wait for S2. 5. Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII): ooooough, beautiful, tragic, kind, funny, cool flower seller of my life. Remake!Aerith particularly stole my heart along with the show. There is this sad, beguiling mystery about her that draws you in, and she is so cheerful in spite of it all. I can't wait for Rebirth but also I am terrified lol. 6. Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher): "How ravishing she is, he thought. Everything about her is ravishing. And menacing. Those colours of hers; that contrast of black and white. Beauty and menace. Her raven-black, natural curls. Her cheekbones, pronounced, emphasising a wrinkle, which her smile – if she deigned to smile – created beside her mouth, wonderfully narrow and pale beneath her lipstick…" I mean. C'mon. That is MY WIFE etc, copy paste rj's exact blurb. Anya Chalotra is the perfect Yen. She is everything and deserves the world and I will glady let her burn it all down and murder me if she wants to. 7. Zero (Final Fantasy XIV): [Endwalker patch spoilers!] who doesn't love an autistic badass goth half-human half-voidsent who has lived as a monster for so long she forgot her own identity and is learning how to be human again and finding her humanity via the power of friendship and delicious food, like. I needed more of her and I miss her already!!!

8. Kim Wexler (Better Call Saul): omg so hard to pick just one from this show (ilu nacho), but Kim Wexler SUCKER PUNCHES U IN THE THROAT with her awesomeness. She is this extremely competent, understated cool, calculating yet caring and earnest character who compliments Jimmy so well and whose nuances her amazing actress Rhea Seehorn manages to convey so masterfully. She is also tragic af, but hello it's Breaking Bad prequel lol. On that note... 9. Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium): DOUBLE KIM WHAMMY!!! They're so alike it's not even funny. I'd say Kim has the stronger moral center between the two, but I love them for many of the same reasons. He is also extremely competent, understated cool, with a side of being totally game for Harry's antics once he warms up to him (my Harry build was 'himbo' so he did a lot of dumb shit but he was nice). 10. Irving Bailiff (Severance): firstable, if you haven't seen Severance yet, please do yourself the favor and don't let me spoil this for u!! Irving Bailiff is an Experience. He is a stickler for the rules and very much a stick in the mud compared to his colleagues, but his true self leaks into this version of himself slowly at first, then in surprising bursts of rebellion that become clear at the end when it is shown that his Outtie/true self is actively trying to bring Lumon down like a TOTAL FUCKING BADASS in the most delightful reveal. Also he has a whirlwind romance with another old man played by Christopher Walken.

SAS Rogue Heroes. Maybe you've seen that one gifset? Yeah. That. Also The Magnus Archives! I saw some artwork of it and was intrigued. I've started listening to it at work and I'm really enjoying it. I love the spooks and the mystery.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Oh no do I even have three fandoms oh no. John Segundus from JS&MN! He's the cinnamon roll he's the guy who asks inconvenient questions he's so polite he's a drenched kitten. I want to feed him soup (I don't care how much he wants beefsteaks he's getting soup) and listen to him ramble about magic. I think there's a lot of potential for exploring hidden depths (Ed) and how the events of canon have shaped him.

Leliana from Dragon Age: Origins! I love how she came to her faith in a roundabout and disastrous way, and how other members of the Chantry turned against her after she talks about her visions. And even after being constantly rejected and threatened by the people she loves, despite the personal danger she's in, she still just wants to help people in a world about to be overwhelmed by darkness. Ahhh I just love her. Also she (and Zevran, from the same game!) is one of the first characters I... read? experienced? saw featured in a piece of media I enjoyed? who is canonically bisexual and actually talks about her attraction to multiple genders. Redheaded lockpicking devout spymaster queen.

Kim Secretan from Will Darling Adventures! Honestly I could say, like, all the characters from WDA (Maisie ILU) but I'm focusing on Kim here because I feel like he goes through so much growth. He's a very different person at the end of the series, which is good because hoo boy he's kind of awful in a lot of ways at the beginning. It feels very earned, though. He acknowledges the ways he hurts people and chooses to do better, even though it's hard and he isn't sure he can do it. That's great I love that.

it’s not even a bad episode!! it’s acted well, it feels in character but i take issue with the premise that star fleet crewmen have to get permission from the captain to have intimate relations with a new alien race.

verifying with the doctor? absolutely makes sense to me. gotta know if there’s harmful side effects or potential incompatibility/inconveniences. there’s yet to be an std episode but one day maybe???

but with the captain??? you think riker asked for picard’s approval before he gave his lovers a night to remember??? i doubt it!!!

like i want to rationalise it by saying that this handbook is bc they’re in the delta quadrant and not much is known about the species unlike the alpha(?) quadrant, but ehhhh. i’m skeptical!! kissing aliens races is fine but you draw the line at sex? it’s so… i don’t buy it!!

in some ways i wish this was a s4 ep? have harry kim have an arc where he wants to forgo the newbie/greenhorn reputation he has—starting with demon, where he becomes more daring, continue it with the disease, where he thinks he knows better than the “rules” and that janeway is coddling him. like idk how the arc would end, with harry kim pushing and finding out his limits, at this current level. bc i love harry kim for soaring high and being an icarus, he’s simply not ready! but!!! that drive to push himself continues! timeless still happens!
