Could you please do a fic where Steven and Mike from strangled red meet a reader from another region (preferably one with fairy type pokemon) and the two are either terrified or confused about the reader's pokemon, leading to them asking the reader questions like: "why does your pokemon look like that?" "What even is a fairy type?" And all that jazz
The moment I saw this request, the first fairy pokemon that came to mind was Klefki! So that'll be the chosen one <3
Tumblr media
........
"Dude, why is your keyring so-?"
"Kiiii!!"
"Huh?!!" Mike took a huge step back, eyes widening as the large keyring hanging beside your door suddenly came to life. It lifted itself off the hook and did a little twirl, smiling at the dumbfounded brunette in front of it.
"Uh-"
"Klefki! What did I say about pranking our guests, hm?"
Hearing your voice, Klefki perked up and flew away from Mike, floating over to where you and Steven stood in the living room. You had just finished showing him your collection of badges, but the sight of your partner Pokémon startled him.
"What did you say that was..?" The longhaired trainer blinked.
"Klefki. The Keyring Pokémon." You introduced, turning to see it raise one appendage and hand you a key. "Thank you very much. You know, you're less stingy than usual today. I'll get you some pokepuffs after-"
"Wait, that's a Pokémon??"
"....is it really that shocking to you guys? Your region has Pokémon who look like eggs and pokeballs." Chuckling, you turned back to the two brothers who seemed so fixated on the levitating keyring--before they suddenly began scrambling to open their pokedexes, hoping there wasn't a sudden update they needed to catch up on.
"No. You two aren't missing anything."
They paused, now staring up at you.
"Klefki is originally from Kalos. You won't find them in those regional Kanto pokedexes."
Both of them blinked in realization, as though lightbulbs have simultaneously turned on upstairs before they bashfully put away their dexes. "Right, I forgot.." Steven awkwardly mumbled. "That's cool, though."
"Here. I got my regional Kalos dex." You decided to show them both Klefki's entry, letting the former champion take it into his hands while Mike leaned in closer to take a look.
All the while, you stood there patiently, amused at how their eyebrows furrowed as they read its description. They were acting like Pokémon researchers who just made a phenomenal discovery.
Then finally, after a long silence, Steven looked up at you.
"There's a "fairy" type? Is that a new thing?"
"It was the most recently-discovered type, but that was..........wait, you've never heard of them?" You blinked, seeing that his older brother had an equally confused expression. "Don't tell me that you, Kanto's first recorded champions, have never seen or battled a fairy type Pokémon in your life."
"........"
"........"
"What about Clefairy?"
"....that's a normal type according to our pokedexes." Mike frowned. "Is it a regional thing or-?"
"No, I...I'm working on my national dex. And it clearly states it's a fairy type." You huffed, realizing that these two poor uncultured souls didn't have a clue what you were talking about.
With a small sigh, you decided to sit on the couch, patting either side of you. "Come here, boys. I'm about to teach you allllll about fairy types. Because there's a lot you two need to catch up on if you wanna be "pokemon masters".
They both nodded and sat down, listening to your explanations about what fairy type Pokémon were, what they typically looked like, their weaknesses/strengths, etc.. You even presented them with the fairy feather you let Klefki hang onto.
Steven's eyes periodically wandered to your partner, who was noisily jingling its keys and grinning at him.
"So Steven...do you have any questions?"
"H-Huh? Oh, uh...yeah.." Snapping his attention back to you, he fidgeted with his hat. "You're saying its type advantages and disadvantages are all.....based off of fairytale stories?"
"Precisely." You nodded. "Fairies are strong against dark because they're typically good, and like the fighting type they triumph over evil."
"But they're also weak to fire because....?"
"Fire typically burns down their forests, but it's not one of their weaknesses. Fire Pokémon just resist Fairy Pokémon." Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Mike sheepishly raising his hand. "Yes, Mikey?"
"....you lost me on why steel types are supereffective against them.." He admitted with a nervous chuckle.
"In most myths, iron harms fairies because they're manmade material."
"....gotcha...wow.." Flopping back onto the couch, he sighed dramatically, trying to absorb all this information you've told them. "I mean, it's awesome that more Pokémon types are being discovered, but....dang...it's gotten more complicated, too."
"Yeah." Steven nodded, mimicking his posture. Although a moment later, he sat up and looked at you. "[Y/n]...you said fairies were supereffective against dragon types, right?"
"Correct." You nodded, wondering where he was going with this.
"...is Miki secretly a fire/dragon instead of fire/flying?" His eyes narrowed in suspicion and worry. "Because if I ever battle your Klefki, that might be a-"
"No, I can assure you that in every region Charizard is fire/flying....although some trainers have the mega stone called Charizardite X that could turn theirs into a fire and dragon type instead-"
"The Charizardwhat???" He gawked.
To that, all you could do was sigh and shake your head, becoming more amused by the second at how much the brothers didn't know. You felt like a Pokémon Professor at this rate.
'Oh jeez..I'll be here for a while..'

Akira Kurosawa with his older brother Heigo. 1913 Akira Kurosawa (right) with his brother, Heigo, ca. 1913 "My brother once forced me to spend a day wandering through Tokyo looking at the victims of the Great Kanto earthquake of 1923: corpses piled up on bridges, corpses blocking off a whole street at the intersection, corpses displaying every manner of death possible to human beings. When I involuntarily looked away, my brother scolded me, "Akira, look carefully now". When that night I asked my brother why he’d made me look at these terrible sights, he replied: "If you shut your eyes to a frightening sight, you end up being frightened. If you look at everything straight on, there is nothing to be afraid of". With my camera, like Dostoyevsky with his prose, I have tried to force the audience—which is often unwilling—to "look carefully now"." ~ Kurosawa Akira (黒澤 明, 1910-1998), Kinema, Spring 1993.

HOW IT FEELS TO DISAPPEAR. (Part 1: DESCENT)
Tumblr media
FLASHBACK: ABANDON LONLINESS.
A retelling of Abandon Lonliness in how it unfurled in Missing Numbers. This story will contain: Psychological Horror. Implied Animal Neglect. Animal Death. Implied Child Death. Unreality. You never belonged here.
EXPLANATION | FIRST | NEXT
........................................................................
YOU ARE A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL WITH LONG BROWN HAIR, AND HAZEL EYES THAT SEEM TO TOE THE LINE BETWEEN BROWN AND GREEN. AND YOU’VE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER, PROUDLY HOLDING THE TITLE OF THE CHAMPION OF KANTO AS OF ONE WEEK AGO.
TODAY, YOU ARE WITH YOUR FRIEND, BLUE. A BOY WHO STARTED AS YOUR ENEMY, BUT BECAME YOUR FRIEND THROUGHOUT YOUR JOURNEY. YOU ARE GLAD YOU UNDERSTAND HIM. YOU ARE GLAD HE TRUSTS YOU.
YOU ARE KEEPING HIM COMPANY AS HE GRIEVES A LOST POKEMON.
Tumblr media
...
Your mind keeps wandering to the Championship fight. You’ve been trying not to feel too guilty- you won fair and square, after all. Neither of you held back. And even though you could see the hurt in his eyes when you did, he only forced a smile and congratulated you, leaving before Professor Oak arrived. You’ve talked about it several times since then, but he always repeated that you deserved it more than him.
It didn’t sit right with you, but you’ve been determined to ensure that this didn’t cause a rift between you two. You care so much about him, especially after he opened up… Even proving to you how he seemed to know just what to expect every step of the way- everything except for you.
Either way- you made a point to be a better friend to him than ever before. And if that means coming with him to this creepy, haunted graveyard, then… So be it! You’re not scared! No sir!
Tumblr media
Being there for him matters more, anyways.
Though it’s been pretty quiet… A part of you must have expected for such a loud boy to grieve more openly, but you suppose he’s always been more… Restrained in this place. More respectful. As for you, though, you’ve never lost a Pokemon… Not yet, anyways. So, maybe you just don’t understand.
Still, you can’t help but feel a bit bored. You wouldn’t dream of doing anything disrespectful here, but your gaze does start to wander. You skim over the names on each headstone- loving nicknames of Pokemon since passed, usually settled over sentimental messages and last goodbyes, forever etched into stone.
But as you look around, you nearly jump out of your skin when you spot the movement of something small scampering away through the gaps of nearby graves. It takes a moment to soothe yourself enough to realize that it couldn’t have been a ghost… They don’t dwell on this floor of the Pokemon Tower, and this wasn’t the angry purples of a restless spirit, or a mischievous Ghastly or Haunter… You’re pretty sure that was… Brown?
Blue seems to have missed it, caught up in his own silent mourning.

Has anyone ever walked into the aquarium thinking it was a gym?
A couple times that I know of, because I was on battle enrichment duty those times! The first one was from Kanto and she didn't seem to get the memo that we don't have a gym in Slateport. She got a ticket and went through the entire aquarium wondering where the challenges were, she got some food at the cafe and some knickknacks from the gift shop and sat through three whole enrichment battles in the courts before she realized this might not be a gym. She approached me after a match and sheepishly asked if this was where the battles for the Rain Badge were held. I informed her that the gym she wanted was all the way in Sootopolis, but I at least gave her a pretty good practice match first.
The other one was less pleasant, some guy wandered in through the battle court entrance and started yelling at the attendant in the ticket booth about the fee to use the battle court (500P per trainer, all of which goes towards upkeep). When I went over to see what the issue was he started going off about how I was a 'failure of a gym leader', how I'm 'gatekeeping the gym challenge', 'draining trainers dry', 'play to win', just...yelling and shouting and not letting me get a word in edgewise to tell him that this isn't even a gym.
Like...look, I'd LOVE to be a gym leader, I'd LOVE to host my gym in the aquarium, but that day hasn't come yet and until it does, our funding for upkeep comes from usage fees because we can't get grants from the Hoenn League otherwise.

Redesign/Rewrite - 2024 (see below for more info + speedpaint!)
Storm Raiden (created in 2018)
Male
Species: Partner Pikachu (Raichu Ancestry)
Rash Nature - Likes to fight
Melody Sapphire (created in 2018)
Female
Species: Eevee
Modest Nature - Quick to flee
Storm was a failed project to create a stronger breed of Pikachu. Due to his unstable genes, evolution could pose as life-threatening, much to his despair. On the bright side, he's developed rare abilities passed down from his father (unknown) that allow him to fly and traverse water, perfect for helping humans get around. He currently works as a guard 'mon in Celadon Mart, wandering Kanto to learn of his origin in his spare time.
Melody, on the other hand, was born and raised near Celadon City, and is very familliar with battling. She has a fear of evolution, but that doesn't stop her from finding other ways to increase her strength, stealing items from Celadon Mart. She loves swimming when the opportunity presents itself.
Due to Melody stealing from Storm's place of work and their conflicting opinions regarding evolution, the two have developed a fierce rivalry. They tend to butt heads most of the time, which often leads into battles Storm will always win, aggrivating Mel. She learned Dig as a counter for his type-weakness.
Despite it all, Storm notices her ability to adapt to situations and finds it admirable, while Mel simply can't help but challenge him every time they meet, because his enthusiasm for battling excites her-- no matter how little she can stand him, he's always fun to be around! The people of Celadon find their rivalry adorable, and unintentionally, the two attract more customers this way. Thus, they fight on, hoping to get stronger with every battle, not yet realizing the strength they find in each other.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet anime adaption Ash version.
After another adventure with old friends and foiling Team Rocket’s schemes yet again, the young Champion Ash Ketchum gets an invite to visit the illustrious Orange-Grape Academy in the Paldea Region. He is offered a student teaching position to speak of his experiences in Pokémon Battling as well as get offered a chance to compete in the Blueberry League and fight the local Elite Four.
After being seen off by his current traveling companions, who decide to stay in Kanto to surprise visit their little cousin Liko at Indigo Academy, Ash enrolls at Paldea, starting fresh once more with Pikachu at his side.
Team Rocket, overhearing the matter, decide to infiltrate the school disguised as the RAs of Ash’s dorm in an attempt to get Pikachu, and if possible, nab every Pokémon at the facility.
Ash’s students include Nemona, Arven, Penny, and new character Alfie, an exchange student from Galar who looks up to Ash. These two share a big brother-little brother dynamic and form a duo. Completing the trio is Iono, another student teacher and popular streamer of Paldea. She handles the school’s audio visual arts, and helps fund the school with her videos.
Ash quickly finds Champion life isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, as Iono has made it her mission to document the life of the new World Champ, and films him every waking moment no matter what he’s doing, while Nemona is a teacher’s pet, and as a fellow Champion herself, desperately wants Ash to be her rival. While Ash and Iono manage to get along after finding a compromise (as well as being forced to room together), Nemona proves to be the more annoyingly persistent one that even Team Rocket (disguised or not) has had to step in between on occasion. Nemona openly hates Team Rocket, mostly because of how they interfere in her quest to get Ash to be her rival, and her Pawmo has sent them flying off with a single punch more than once.
Ash works under Director Clavell, who in this universe is a little more eccentric and tries to be more openly “with it” to appeal to the children of the academy. He’s not particularly good at it: he seems somewhat stuck in the 90’s, but he means well and is respected, and someone Ash can go to for advice when unable to talk to his father figure Kukui. When Team Star causes trouble on the school grounds, Clavell often turns to Ash and his friends to “set them straight”. Team Rocket form a rivalry with Team Star and find them tacky and annoying. Like with Team Skull, they often clash with a trio of younger grunts that are analogous to Jessie, James and Meowth. There has at least been one clash between them that involved a weaponized Starmobile and weaponized Meowth balloon mecha.
Team Rocket is instructed to take Giovanni’s teenage nephew Lorenzo under their wing to teach him the ropes. He is functionally the Amethio equivalent, only far less rigid but not any less goal oriented. While he finds TR bizarre, he develops a begrudging respect for the trio. He has some deep rooted issues that see him exploited by the Four Disaster Pokémon. He isn’t a permanent fixture of the group and attends the Academy to learn about Paldea and its Pokémon to benefit Team Rocket while Jessie and James scheme to get Pikachu and the school’s Pokémon.
Goh and Gary meanwhile have reunited and form a research team investigating sightings of the Paradox Pokémon. A running gag is they tend to get distracted by other matters, and often miss the Paradox who is standing right behind them, wondering what they’re doing before wandering off. They host segments on Paldean Pokémon at the end of the episode and are occasionally joined by Professor Oak offering his own opinions and comedic timing to the proceedings. It’s stated on occasion Gary has worked with Friede of the Rising Voltekkars in the past on Pokémon research. Later on in the story, Ash’s group and Team Rocket start having their own experiences with the Paradox and Titan Pokemon, leading to a team up with Goh and Gary to get to the bottom of the matter. Ash’s Orthworm is actually a Titan Pokémon that has an addiction to Herba Mystica, and is a little pathetic, but with Ash’s help, it slowly quits the habit and becomes a capable battler. It had a rivalry from fellow Titan, Klawf, that Team Rocket egged on as a means to be able to control a Titan for their purposes, if temporarily.
Some of the visual glitches are used for comedic purposes, like Ash’s Fuecoco falling into a lake, or Team Rocket getting buggy eyed when a situation goes hairy. The creepy stretched out Player avatar is seen as a sculpture in Brassius’s art class as well.
The Paradox/Titan Pokémon and Arven’s plot are the first major story arc, followed up by the Teal Mask DLC and confrontation with the Four Disasters as the second major arc with the Blueberry League and a related final confrontation with Team Star closing out the series. While the Teal Mask DLC is the main focus, Indigo Disk material outside of the Blueberry League is partly dependent on what Horizons does with Terapagos and if Liko and Ash meet canonically at all.
Ash and James are a major part of Arven’s arc, the three bonding over food and shared love of dog Pokémon. (James doubly so because of Greavard and Growlie.) Greavard is also the return of the loving Pokémon that injures James archetype, accidentally draining his life force when it happily pounces on him. It once slept on top of James during the night and almost killed him. It returns life force by giving James a big sloppy lick in the face.
Partner Pokémon (* designates Evolution):
Ash: Pikachu, Fuecoco, Frigibax*, Wattrel*, Orthworm, Primeape*
Alfie: G-Slowpoke*, Quaxly, Toedscool, Eiscue, Fidough*, Chewtle*
Iono: Bellibolt, Porygon*, Toxel*, Sandy Shocks, Jolteon
Jessie: Wobuffet, Scovillain, Lechonk*
James: Tandemaus*, Poltchageist, Greavard
Lorenzo: Maschiff*, Spidops, G-Meowth, Charcadet*
Supporting Pokémon: Miraidon: A Legendary Pokémon Ash befriends. Ash, Alfie, and Arven nurse it back to health during the early Paradox plot, and it becomes loyal to Ash, sticking with him to the end of the adventure. It has a bit of a Speed Buggy type personality and speech impediment, and drives Ash around campus and later to the Kitakami Region.
Bombirdier: A new courier employed at Team Rocket taking over Delibird’s job. It’s strongly suggested it did a hostile take over of the position… Besides Delibird, it also hates Iron Bundle, mistaking it for Delibird. It has a cruel personality and enjoys dropping heavy deliveries on Team Rocket.
Scream Tail: A little weirdo who pesters both factions. Analogous to the original Jigglypuff, and first encountered by Goh’s group. Seems to have found camaraderie in Team Star.
Iron Bundle: Encountered by Goh’s team, but more properly encountered by Team Rocket. It seems to want to help out people, but also doesn’t abide nonsense, blasting people and Pokémon that anger it with its blaster bag. Seems to have found a place at the Academy’s school store. It has a personality and mannerisms similar to Bubo the robot owl from Clash of the Titans.
Tinkaton: The Bewear equivalent that harasses Team Rocket and occasionally Ash’s group. Its primary motivation is to get James’ bottle caps to bling its hammer, and appears in all manner of crazy ways to acquire them. It once led a squad of its own family of Tinkatuffs riding Cyclizars after Team Rocket during the middle of a Pikachu operation to accomplish this. Team Rocket also once made the mistake of piloting a Corviknight mecha in its presence unknowingly….
Gimmighoul: Another weirdo that took residence in Team Rocket’s dorm room and started playing havoc with their finances and that of the school’s. It takes a fancy to James’ bottle caps also, and forms a friendship with Tinkaton. Its various Gimmighoul Coins are scattered around Paldea, with Ash, Iono, Alfie, Meowth and others having found at least one in passing not knowing what it was but kept it. Gimmighoul, after experimenting with James’ bottle caps, manages to collect its G-Coins and evolve into Gholdengo. Iono affectionately nicknames Gimmighoul/Gholdengo “Earl” after a particular video game character she likes. Has mannerisms and speech patterns similar to Digit the Cockroach from An American Tail as Gimmighoul.
Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti: The mysterious, mildly eccentric Pokémon of the Kitakami Region. They choose Ash, Team Rocket, Alfie and Iono to assist in preventing a coming disaster that threatens Paldea and Kitakami. Ogerpon’s role is pending further DLC information.

so I was reading a few of your posts and I hit the youngster post and that made me remember a lot of stuff and start thinking.
Kanto is the feral cackling gremlin of the Pokemon Regions. This is a head Canon that just hit me. With a starting age of 10 that is allowed not encouraged. This helps with the a problem of kanto kids just wandering into the woods and living completely actually feral in the woods.
You see in Kanto a child has a 50/50 chance of being driven out of a Pokemon's territory or adopted. Of course it depends on the Pokemon and the human child but that's getting into aura. City's in feral Kanto are not wide because pissing off the magical murder monsters that would happily kill you and raise your kids for you get pissed off when you start clear cutting trees.
So they build tall and slow and they have to be very careful about roads because Pokemon are smart enough to realize the jerk that cut down there home made this path and follow it to Express there displeasure.
I think the part about kids getting adopted by Pokemon is actually pretty canon. I'm pretty sure there was an episode in the early seasons, maybe even the first one, where some kid literally just got dropped out of a plane or helicopter and his parents waited literal years before they came back for him, and at that point he was already adopted by the local Pokemon. (And they somehow didn't get arrested for dropping their infant from hundreds of feet in the air, what the fuck. Child endangerment laws who?)
Anon, your hcs are extremely valid.

the highly specific version of kogamoshipping that lives in my head where it's the alola era and kris is the leader of johto's battle tower (because this is me we're talking about. get sinnoh's stupid battle frontier out of johto and give us back the original battle tower etc etc) and leaf is currently just chilling & being a wandering trainer who mainly spends her time getting up to random bullshit. i like to think she was going nuts with dynamaxing in galar or something before meandering back to kanto. anyway she's like "hm i'm gonna go visit red and blue soon so maybe i'll practice for their new battle tree by finally getting around to challenging that battle tower in johto." so she shows up and makes it all the way up to kris and kris promptly kicks her ass because unfortunately it's the fate of the kanto trio to constantly lose to the johto quartet and that night leaf is just furiously texting red and blue like "do you guys know anything about the leader of the battle tower please please please please" and blue's like "kris? yeah she's one of the ones who won the championship after us back when we were kids before she gave up the title. the one after gold but before lyra. oh, did you want her number for battling or something?"
and needless to say the next day kris is getting a very enthusiastic introductory text and a request for battling outside of the battle tower. she stares at it like "???" for a second before opening the johto group chat and going "Alright which one of you is giving out my number to weirdos" and eventually lyra manages to pry the events of the previous day out of her and tells kris who she is. and of course kris' brain jumps straight to battling like blue's did (pokémon crystal-exclusive goldenrod city mall roof flavor text i love you) so she agrees to meet up with leaf outside of the battle tower sometimes and it just devolves into looney tunes-level of leaf desperately trying to flirt in her own way and kris being insanely oblivious. eventually lyra figures out what's going on and strong-arms gold and silver into helping to properly set them up (it's not working) and she's texting red & blue about it too (which is also not helping) and no reminders about her champion duties are stopping her from getting involved in this situation. leaf would desperately love for her to not get involved in this situation. lyra is Getting Involved in this situation. kris is not aware there's a situation but she's definitely having more fun than she thought battling leaf so she's having a good time at least

so like with my immortal volo au (Eternal Customer Service AU) i am planning alot for most of it to be obvi takin place in the present but i had some ideas for Volos life before all the events take place and i would like to share them
Tumblr media
He realized he was immortal like 60 years into immortality when brushing a pokemon (im thinking maybe eevee or an evolution but that doesnt matter too much) and joking about its white furs before remembering humans are supposed to age too. He spent his life trying to cope and hide away.
He essentially raised an orphaned Cogita, her death after the events of Arceus leading to him leaving Hisui. (she was 108, living a long time due to a blessing from Arceus when she was young. She was apart of a prophecy to help Rei/Akari and needed to live long enough to help them)
1873
Somepoint after the fight with Rei/Akari he shelters himself from society in fear of what he had done, eventually catching the Alpha Ninetales on Firespit.
(around a few months after rei will have gone home and Volo would go see Cogita to tell her he was planning to travel out of region, only to see her on her death bed. He got to spend her last moments with her.)
1888
he is in Hoenn, simply wandering around (and helping with the whole customer service stuff he has too.) his pokemon are growing old.
1892
Roserade is wilting, his poison growing barely able to put Volo to sleep on restless nights.
1899
Volo moves to Johto.
Arcanine is sick, hardly having the strength to eat. She always tries her hardest to make sure the team is warm.
1909
Volo moves to Kanto.
Lucario tires himself out trying to protect the campsite. He cant even sense when Volo comes back anymore.
1913
Volo moves to Kalos. He can't help but feel like he should check on a person while there.
Garchomp isn't allowed to fight anymore, not since his bones grew so brittle he broke a fin when helping Volo climb a rocky hill.
1915
Spiritomb is fine. He is whispering.
1917
Ninetales is fine. She is scared of the whispers. She worries for her family.
1923
Volo moves to Alola. He gets a job as a clerk in a clothing shop, Hau'oli City.
1925
Togekiss.
She is trying her hardest.
She doesn't want to let go.
She doesn't want to leave Volo.
She loves him.
He loves her.
But she will be lost soon.
1926
One night, he goes for a stroll on a beach. Togekiss follows. Volo sits in the sand and cradles her.
A young Nurse working in a nearby center notices him. She goes outside to check on him.
All she sees is a crying man and his friend who is now long gone.
Not the first Volo will ever lose, but the one that will hurt the most.
Spiritomb and Ninetales are all he has left to remember Hisui.
1994
Volo has an encounter with a young man who goes by Looker. He claims to be a rookie Interpol agent. Looker was assigned to find a man who in Alola hadn't aged for over 70 years. There are plenty of rumors stirring up, and he was sent to investigate.
Volo is taken in by Interpol after a few investigations.
They give him an ID that entitles him to have help from them whenever needed.
1998
Volo moves to Galar.

linzin on farmer au pls! is this on ao3?
Hello, anon~ Thankyou so much for your ask—I really appreciate it! I never get tired of thanking people. 😊 As for creating a fic, I’m not entirely sure at the moment. I’m happy to answer questions and share ideas about this AU, but I’m struggling with connecting everything and crafting a full story. I'm not good at writing😔(a proper story/fanfic)
Okay so here's young Linzin
Tenzin's Story
As a kid, Tenzin often traveled with his family for business or vacations. When he was 10, they went to Ba Sing Se, and while the adults were busy, Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya toured an academy. They visited a sculpture class where most kids came from wealthy or high-ranking families. While Bumi and Kya enjoyed the attention, Tenzin, being shy, felt overwhelmed.
He noticed one girl focused on her sculpting, uninterested in the Avatar's kids. Captivated by her skill and beauty, he stared until she looked up and caught his eye, causing him to quickly look away, embarrassed.
Back at their lodging, Tenzin's siblings noticed he was down and teased him about having a crush when he mentioned the girl. The next day, they returned to the academy to find her, but she wasn’t there. Bumi joked she might be imaginary, frustrating Tenzin, who stormed off.
While wandering to cool off, Tenzin got lost and panicked. Someone grabbed him, and to his relief, it was the girl from the academy. She found his near-tear state amusing. Trying to save face, Tenzin denied crying, but eventually admitted he was lost, feeling utterly embarrassed.

Lin's Story
After just a few days of settling into her new place, Lin broke her promise to her dad. Kanto had insisted she stay away from Republic City, thinking it was unsafe. To her surprise, the city wasn't that dangerous, just busier and more diverse than Ba Sing Se.
Chin and Choi, two of her grandpa's trusted farmers, accompanied her but got separated. Lin wandered the city, thinking, "It's not like I'm going to get mugged."
Suddenly, someone touched her shoulder. Remembering the martial arts her dad taught her, she instinctively performed a one-arm throw. Onlookers were stunned, and a group of women rushed to help the man, angry at Lin.
Before she could explain, the man spoke, "I'm fine. It's my fault anyway," wincing in pain. He looked familiar. Before she could react, he grabbed her hand and used his glider to fly. It was Lin's first time flying, and she clung to him, terrified. They landed at Aang's statue.
"What do you want from me? My money? Take it, just let me go," she demanded.
The guy chuckled, "I'm not going to harm you. I'm Tenzin. You're kind of lost, right?"
"Tenzin? The Avatar's son?"
"Yes. And you are?"
"Lin. And I am not lost."
"Okay," he said, turning to leave.
"Wait, don't leave me here!"
"Do you admit you're lost?"
"Yes. You happy?"
Tenzin smiled, and Lin remembered something from her past.
"What's with the look?" he asked.
"Nothing… Let's go back to the city and look for Chin and Choi."
"Let's fly around. It's easier to find people that way."
"Are you out of your mind? What if you drop me?"
"Hmm, just wait here." Tenzin left, and Lin was in disbelief.
Moments later, she saw a flying bison. Appa landed, and Lin's heart melted. She instantly loved Appa, who seemed to like her too.
"Come on, let's go back to the city." Tenzin gently airbent Lin onto Appa. She was so excited she forgot how mad she was at Tenzin. The view from above amazed her. Tenzin, however, couldn't take his eyes off her, enjoying a different view.

Professor Cedar, what is the scariest Pokémon urban legend you know? Me and a couple friends were reading a few for an assignment for English class and we were curious if you had any good ones. I think the scariest one I've heard is about a gengar that haunts a bathroom stall and will offer you either red or blue paper and kills you no matter your choice and the only way to escape is to either choose no paper or confuse the gengar with a different color choice. That legend in particular originated from somewhere in Kanto
Oh that's a good one!
Hm... well, I'm not very fond of scary stuff, I scare easily, but my coworker Professor Raifort has shared several with me... without asking.
I think the spookiest one in my opinion is the Hairy Hands! It's a Paldean legend about a pair of disembodied hands, covered in hair and with really long nails, that used to belong to a trainer who beat his Pokemon.
They say that Arceus himself cut off the man's hands, and now they wander around Paldea, hiding in dark places and jumping out at you if you're alone.
Raifort says she thinks the legends are based on Haunter, since it has disembodied hands and likes scaring people, but either way it's spooky!
