I GOTTA RANT ABT SMTH THAT HAPPENED AT SCHOOL WITHIN THE LAST 2-ISH HOURS
Story under the cut:
BIT OF BACKGROUND INFORMATION BEFORE WE START
So, This is my biology teacher, We’re gonna just call her Mrs. Bio
Well, last week I came to school, Monday, Mrs. Bio wasn’t there, my friend Eevee (she loves Pokémon) had told me and my friends in the gc we had, we were thrilled because the thing about her is that,
That’s not a joke either! She will get upset if we get out of our seats 5 seconds before the bell rings, not exaggerating. And our teacher assistant, she’s chill, for the most part,
But, last week on Monday, when she wasn’t there, we were given a 2-paged packet, no biggie I get it done before class ends, I turn it in,
The very next day when I get in there and Mrs. Bio handed packets back, she didn’t give me mine back, I wasn’t that bothered about it because oh I already did the assignment
BUT NO
She gave me a new one when she seen me drawing and listening to music, because she asked me why I wasn’t ’doing my work’
It was already done
I did it the day before
Now, I didn’t re-do it- nuh uh I refused to
Same thing with the next because we spent three days on it, (we have a few days per assignment unless it’s like,, a YouTube video we need to watch, then it’s due at the end of class)
So, yesterday we were given study guides (our assignments we did all stapled together) and that one 2-Paged assignment? Wasn’t there, so I finished an assignment that’s due tomorrow, then I watched YouTube
Now, note, Eevee wasn’t here today because they had Girl Scout stuff to do, but when the Mrs. Bio said we can go to the lounge if we had all our work done, she told me I couldn’t go
It was the fucking packet
I argued that I had it done, and she refused to believe me, like she didn’t even look through the papers on her desk, she said I didn’t do it and tried to make me do it again. I once more refused and I verbally said I’m not going to do it,
Oh- and she then proceeded to say, that for the 3-day length that this assignment was given she watched me mess around and draw
All three days
.
SHE WAS ONLY THERE FOR TWO DAYS.
Best part about this? I have 4 people as witnesses for all of this, 3 watched me get my work done, Eevee, my friend (fuck it we call him robo) Robo, and my friend (his initials (middle and first)) EP,
The fourth person was in front of me, and my friend Robo was nearby, when she said this wonderful line
‘I will videotape you doing nothing the next time this happens’
For those of you unaware, without mine or my parents/guardians consent? That was illegal.
So, me and Robo then reported this to an admin that we ran into the hall,
This all happened in roughly 20 minutes. And this isn’t the first time Mrs. Bio was reported, this is the second time from my class specially that she’s been reported,
thank you for reading this,
I SWEAR ILL UPDATE YALL ON WHAT HAPPENS

Story Time: Weird Karen Teachers
so this story involves @eeveetheadventurer/@definitely-spirit-halloween, @mayketz, @gwenthegay1, @alex061411, and a few other friends that aren't on tumblr that I'm gonna name, L, A, Zigzag, and B (not real names due to privacy reasons).
So basically L, Gwen, Alex, and A were giving B-day speeches to May while Eevee, B, Zigzag and I were just messing around with my Larry Koopa plush. So this teacher (that literally no one knows her name so we call her Ms. Waddles [the whole 7th grade calls her this]), comes up after B took the Larry plush and I was trying to grab it back just starts bitching about the plush. She said that I should put it in my locker (even though it was doing literally nothing but being existent and looking cute). Of course we asked why and she said, "A 7th grader shouldn't have a stuffed animal" (not exact words I don't remember exactly what she said). I said, "but it's kinda like an emotional support thingy to me". She responded asking if I had a thing in my bio saying I could have it. Obviously not but then I asked to just put it in my purse where it normally is during passing time. She agreed and then said, "if I see it out again you're gonna have to get it back at the office on your way home".
Eventually Ms. Waddles stopped talking to us and everyone else on the other half of the table asked what exactly happened because they weren't fully paying attention. So I explained what happened (Ms. Waddles was still standing were she was earlier). Zigzag said that she was basically just bullying a 7th grader, and B made a comment saying she sleeps with plushes every night and there's nothing wrong with that. I also said that it's not like it's one of those feisty pets plushes or the cabbage doll that got banned for eating hair. As Ms. Waddles walked off B said, "Fucking Karen" then for sure I know B, May and I flipped Waddles off because of it.
YEAH THAT WAS CHAOTIC (and Larry was just doing nothing)

Mean Girls as Senior High School students of a private school
(I am currently a SHS student in a private school and a HUMSS student so here's what I think these characters would be if they were in SHS)
~~~
• Janis, Damian, and Karen are all in the Arts and Design strand
• Regina is in Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand
• Gretchen is in Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) stand
• Cady is definitely in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand
• Their Practical Research teacher is their favorite teacher because their teacher here allows them to cuss in class but still scares them enough to work smart and hard
• Gretchen hates the Politcs, but she gets amazing grades at it out of spite
• Cady is generally just good at Math so everyone turns to her for help in Statistics and Probability and well, General Math.
• They still wear pink on Wednesdays, but like, maybe a jacket or a bracelet because, well, uniforms.
• Janis and Damian hate the uniforms
• Gretchen and Regina have no problem with it, but sometimes it's a bother. especially when it's cold
• Karen rocks it
• Damian hates the strict dress code. especially the haircut policy
• Regina, Janis, and Gretchen hate the "not too flashy jewellery/make up" thing too
• Cady sucks at presentations. But she gets better.
• Gretchen is that student during recitations that can say anything and everything so fast but is understood and makes sense. The other HUMSS students usually want her out of debates because they know she'll kill them all.
• Karen's charisma is everything. she's friends with literally every student and teacher and her performance skills are fire too
• They all share Homeroom
• They all get along and absolutely love the Academic Director because her office is just next to their homeroom classroom
• They all have this one shared teacher that they really fucking hate
• Regina and the Junior High School History teacher have beef
• Nothing serious, they just have history-offs everytime they see each other
• He is also Gretchen's politics teacher
• Janis is now besties with the Guidance Counselor
• She is also Gretchen's HUMSS teacher.
• The Math teacher doesn't know whether or not Cady is his favorite student or not because she participates the most, but she also finishes his examples before he can input it in the calculator, and she does it without a fucking calculator
• He's a nice dude though
• He's also everyone's Statistics teacher
• Damian is the school's favorite theatre kid
• The Prefect of Discipline is so done with their batch
• The Principal is Regina's Applied Economics teacher
• She took one look at Regina and thought "This kid is a lesbian, isn't she?"
• She would know, she has a wife
• Cady's calculus teacher adores her
• She mentally adopted Cady, actually
• The Arts and Design teacher is so done with Janis's bullshit
• "Welcome to the club, sir."
• He is a very supportive straight man
• He doesn't know whether to be impressed or scared of Karen
• Their homeroom teacher doesn't question their group dynamics anymore
• Their entire homeroom just one day subconsciously picked up wearing a hint or pink on Wednesdays
• So did the homeroom teacher.
• Every admin, students, and teachers all noticed this
• But they said nothing since it doesn't really break the dress code
• It annoys the Prefect of Discipline a little
• Why didn't she have this when she was still a teacher dammit
• They aren't exactly the popular kids, but if you ask anyone "Do you know (name of anyone from the group)" it's an automatic yes
• Regina's lacrosse coach is a wholesome 50 year old man that will throw crampled paper at someone that doesn't take the drills seriously
• He's the most respectful and in tune with his emotions Gen X man anyone's ever met
• Cady is obviously in the Math varsity which is run by the Calculus teacher
• If smart kids get bullied in canon, here, they cannot be bullied because your grade depends on them
• No seriously, they're usually the group leaders and they will be all "Give me the research design by Friday or you have no group anymore, and you'll do the entire research on your own."
" ⬆️ Cady, Janis, and Regina are part of these
• Overall, it's organized chaos
Play for Today: Bavarian Night (BBC, 1981)
"These bloody middle class parents, ooh, they do get up my nose! You can work yourself blue in the face for them, go out of your way to accommodate them, but it's no use! They're just out to carve and criticise and try to make a fool out of you! Oh, I felt like - I'm ashamed to tell you what I felt like."
"Giving her a good hiding?"
"Yes, somebody should have done, I don't mind saying so! Oh, they make me sick! Always had their own way, always had the best of everything; she should have been brought up in our house, my dad would've had her sorted! I'm sorry, Estelle, this isn't like me, I know. Well, that's my evening spoilt for a start!"
"But what about the sausages?"
#play for today#bavarian night#1981#single play#andrew davies#jack gold#bob peck#sarah badel#malcolm terris#arwen holm#barrie rutter#gawn grainger#kristopher kum#allan surtees#christine hargreaves#noel collins#brian protheroe#jack chissick#karen craig#a comparatively rare original work from Davies‚ who already in 81 was known chiefly for his adaptations of the work of others#a comic piece about a teacher parent social evening which descends into predictable chaos what with the heavy consumption of alcohol and#the loudly decried lack of sausages. Davies' script is frequently very witty‚ sometimes very funny indeed‚ but in a rather grotesque way#you can tell there's little warmth in his writing for most of the characters on display here: the late great Peck is the ostensible lead‚ a#hypocritical intellectual who waxes lyrical about his love for his children but who really just mines them for material for his job as a#scriptwriter; Rutter's would be progressive young head teacher quickly reveals his reactionary‚ petty nature‚ while Grainger is positively#repulsive as a middle class fascist whose desire to teach the younger generation he despises a lesson in manners is tempered only by his#own cowardice. warmth is reserved only for Badel‚ as Peck's cheating wife who at least retains a streak of humanity and a willingness to#stand by her (mildly) socialist principles‚ and particularly for Kum as the sole parent actually interested in learning more about his#daughter's education and progress (and whose bemused response to the increasingly bacchanalian mood of the evening is often the funniest#thing here). a sharp satirical piece on the mores of 80s English suburbia and the petite bourgeoisie‚ and a genuinely funny play
today we were working in groups to learn the methodology for one of our qualifying exams, and when we started working on the essay part of it, instead of brainstorming with us as a group, one of the girls just pulled out fucking chatGPT on her phone
Well, there's always two sides. Yesterday an angry Karen complained about my use of "teacher" saying it would confuse her daughter and the other children and how I dared to bring gender into the classroom.
Today I get this lovely farewell gift from my other class, who always simply called me teacher without fail or argument, having no problem with it after I explained it to them, almost as if it's really not that much of a deal and something to make a fuss about...
I'll miss those students. Talking about safe spaces, teaching them was always the highlight of my week.
