i recently hit 1k followers! that's a massive milestone that i'm super surprised and pleased to have hit! i didn't think even one person would be interested in my extremely scattered thoughts and interests and silly edits, let alone one thousand of you! i feel extremely grateful and happy over both the friends i've made here, the acquaintences i follow and the followers i have. in celebration of this milestone, i'm doing an event over a week or so!

to participate you must be following me. each edit will typically be between two and four images at my discretion and inspiration. you can send multiple, but please don't go overboard, im only one person!!

if anyone has any recommendations for superpowers to make a 100 lb 5'2" wallcrawler viable in a fight, aside from the most obvious (super strength) i would like to hear them—

bonus if lizard/gecko themed

her existing powers:

-sticking/wallcrawling

-advanced reflexes

-regenerative healing (regrown limbs grow back progressively more reptile-like)

-only slightly enhanced durability

UPDATE: possibly adding:

-poison touch (multiple people suggested poison including lycanqueer and warrenthird lol)

-maybe camouflage (warrenthird)

-biting/fangs (kirbydots)

-night vision!! can't believe i didn't think of that until now

Okay in reference to this post [link] by @four-color-words and what @kirbydots was saying in the notes...

I wholly agree it'd be amazing if there were books written as if they were in-universe texts by actual characters cataloguing the origins, histories and mythologies of the various cultures of the DC universe. An anthropological look at who they are and how they came to be.

And what better person to compile, edit and publish this series than our boy Metron! Maybe for each section he'd start with an introductory portion that he'd write himself, then follow with a chronology interspersed with primary and secondary sources. And as readers in the real world, we would recognize these quotes and happenings from the comic stories we've read.

What's more, i think itd be funny if the books handled DC's constant rewriting of history by referencing a non-existent book series by Braniac. Itd be as if Braniac had done a similar history of the universe thing, but Metron's gotta one up him and have the Most Accurate information (and he has to make sure everybody knows it). Like when people in academic journals debunk each other and become heated rivals.

19 - What do you like about being a comics fan?

i like how much stuff there is to read, there's such a diversity in content for your favourite characters that in a lot of other fandoms you really only get in fan content. i mean, it's harder if you're into a lesser known character (darwin my beloved), but for a lot of the big characters you have multiple different eras, artists, writing styles, relationships to get in to, and i really appreciate that diversity. like i can read as many different vision comics as i want without having to go near the captain america runs, for example, while in television or movie franchises you have to get used to characters you maybe don't like so much, n the range of content & the fact that a character's story is never realy over is one of their strengths, to be honest. sometimes it works against certain writers but i like the fact that if i don't like something, i can dip out for a while & go back to stuff i do like or whatever.
