I’m super-duper-stoked to announce Applied Typography Workshop, Tokyo Edition One, a series of workshops and type-related events organized by Akiyama Shin. I’ll be teaching a workshop that deals with English language typography alongside other workshops by Japan’s TOP typographers, notably Yoshihisa Shirai (Shirai Design/former Art Director of IDEA), Nicole Schmid (Helmut Schmid Design), and Shin Akiyama (Edition Nord, Shin Akiyama Design). We’ll be joined by Kiyonori Muroga (Graphic-sha/IDEA) for a joint typography portfolio review and panel about typography in the contemporary age, as well. Details in URL up top! 👀⬆️⬆️⬆️ (TBH, kind of freaking out to be invited to teach alongside Japan’s GREATEST LIVING TYPOGRAPHERS!!!) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7lfdjohurN/?igshid=15n76d8ex9f3l
