dont be sorry!!! first of all congrats thats super exciting <3 i think both of those are really awesome tbh if i met someone with either of those names first thought Would be oh fucking cool. i think that whatever you do the first most important thing is that youre happy with it! i hate to say this also but realistically think a bit about your chosen field as well and weigh the benefits of sickass name like october against that being your name professionally (in some cases that might not matter ie if youre going into any creative field! and ideally it wouldnt matter for any fields and i hate to be like ohhhh appease Society but its worth thinking about for yr success n safety ! ). i think morte is more of a Name name because it would be said like mort which is i think an established name (derivative of mordecai or morton in some cases?). but october is very very cool and you could always shorten that to like. oc or toby or something else if you also wanted to have a more simple and “normal” sounding shorthand name.

BUT this all being said. you can always have your new legal name be whatever white boy name you chose as long as you like it, and still have october or morte as a nickname! i get that it might feel like a copout, but lots of cis people have fun nicknames like that too, so its very normal, yk. at the end of the day its all about your comfort and what will help you thrive so just try to listen to yourself and feel out what it will be like to live in that name for five, ten, fifty years. AND remember you can change it again, legally or not, so nothing is forever and if it changes later thats fine too! this is just the first hurdle: to get rid of a name you never chose and replace it with one you did, which will be better no matter which one you opt for right now

I have a lot of specific hcs about them (mostly because I'm slowly stealing them to turn them into OCs for... something) so here's a little rundown in their story! (Let's hope it's actually little!!)

AKA long post weird AU you released a beast (me infodumping)

When they're tiny:

They met when they're 12 at their new school: Owynn moved because of bullying (the kids used to make fun of him bc he was tall/redhead/has heterocromia and even cut his hair, that's why he has it very short now) and Freddy moved to a whole new country (from Spain to wherever fhs happens). Freddy is Mexican while Owynn's dad is swedish (he was not born there)

They find eachother to be very weird but share many tastes and life events, like the bullying and missing a parent (Owynn is more direct and likes to insult his mom while Freddy doesn't talk abt it- Ow didn't even knew he had an adoptive dad).

They form a music duo for the spring event, since they were such good friends maybe they could work together well! Also Freddy acts kinda weird and sometimes forgets they have rehearsals after-hours but it doesn't matter bc he says sorry and he's cute!!

There's a whole drama with Owynn's parents in the middle of that but i wont bore you with that (unless you want me to)

Anyways the event happens Owynn can't come in time so Freddy goes alone and he wins but ow feels betrayed and blah blah blah they're enemies now and he hates Freddy (a 12 years old kid with a lot of mental troubles for that age)

Bc yes Fred is there but Owynn ofc didn't know, even if he actually talked very often with him too. In fact is kinda his fault Fred makes fun of Freddy so much (He's mad he lost his only best friend 🥺)

(Guess who remembers the rehearsals and the songs and owen cursing his mom)

Middle part where we watch Owynn go insane:

Literally. They kinda hate everyone but their dad now.

Moved school again, classmate with Abby and company actually! (Tho y'know abby she's... insane) so they don't talk. Also the Nightmares used to live closer to that school so they bullied him there until Owynn broke all of Onnie's teeth.

They meet Ttrap too: he's older in my AU (while ow is 15 he would be 17), he tries to get Owynn to therapy bc it's really fucking weird/sad he only talks abt Freddy or abt how much they dislike themself so. Yeah. He succeds and Owynn gets... to move schools again, yay!!

Ow starts developing schizoprenia, doesn't get the diagnosis until very later. (Prodomal stage/negative symptoms rn)

Also kinda starts discovering himself (being gay/nonbinary, doesn't really ditch the he/him pronouns until much later). Also dyes their hair purple

What would equal the 1st season of the series:

Freddy moves to the HS and says his funny discourse (qué? Que quién soy yo? 🤓) Who would've though a certain kid that hates him was there to see it and died right there.

After realizing they share classroom Owynn pressures Ttrap into changing them to another one, hides his freckles/dyes his hair a darker color/uses normal glasses to not be recognized. Explaining his absence from the 1st season /j

So we have time to look at Freddy. He's struggling, Fred is being annoying; they explode at the camp where Freddy bumps into Owen who tells him to fuck off and never talk to them bc they hate him and Freddy says: "who are you?" to them. :D

Fred facepalms and takes control of the body.

Owynn develops his plan to destroy Freddy's band or whatever. Also dyes his hair again.

2nd season!!

And Owynn is in full delusional mode. The whole 'boss' thing is Eak and Ttrap going along with them so they can decompress lol

He does his little introduction and dumb plans to sabotage that obviously don't work at the end but they're actually very good bc he... actually does know what he's doing (making usagi & loon have trouble/separate golden from the group/the whole Toys thing)

But eventually it doesn't matter/the spring event thing happens ; Owynn gets hit by a car and breaks their arm

The secret 3rd season // last school year

Owynn goes back to lay low, gets his schizophrenia diagnosis so therapy+meds!! Good for them!

Freddy gets the therapy+meds combo too! Fred is chilling now :]

So Freddy now attempts to talk to Owynn but they run away from him to not cause him trouble anymore. And that goes for a while until they talk it out: They'll get time to talk alone, but Freddy also wants them to meet the rest of his band so they can get friends, Owynn accepts; but isn't a fan lf the idea.

Eventually they fall in love again (fall? Ow never stopped liking him honestly) and they date. But it takes a very long time to get there but they're so very lovely <3

ALSO yes Fred and Owynn also fix their relationship, they're besties again <3

there are 3 others (crya, finn, and holly) but they're sadly not all that relevant. they also (mostly) have parents who make varied appearances. lucas noah and lin are 16, odin is 17, and madison is 18.

theyre all trans guys apart from madison who is a cis girl (unless you ask my bf he is adamant she has tgirl swag). the interesting thing with odin is that it isnt revealed that hes transgender until quite far into the book, for various reasons.

lucas and lin are the Main Characters, most of the book alternates between their povs, but occasionally odin gets a chapter because he's my Baby Boy.

important information about lucas: he's about five foot seven, he has shitty brown hair and wire-framed round glasses. he tried to cut his own hair once and it never fully recovered. he loves car seat headrest, he's anxious all of the time, and his biggest flaw is how much he projects his own issues onto others.

important information about odin: he's about five foot ten, has greasy black hair he slicks back awfully, and is literally always wearing a shitty leather jacket. he thinks he's literally JD from heathers but cooler. he likes planes, bullying lin, and his biggest flaw is his INSANE internalised transphobia.

Ok ok, i just came from tiktok and have an enlightment. I saw lots of what will they do if they are the parents of our tokrev bois. That's when the light of this idea came. May i present....

A fem!reader who defend herself using belt because clearly she doesn't have enough muscle to punch someone till they get knock out.

If i need to give a title for it, it would be : "With the Power of My Belt"

Long vers, my idea of a fic : fem!Reader is some kind of reincarnated person from our world and become Baji's younger sister also Mikey's crush. She is a good student with excellent grades and not in a gang (in other words, a very normal person, although very oblivious towards romance. Also a calm and collected person, unlike her brother. She can still have that Baji moment where she is very scary/savage in fights with her belt, never got into a fight before Bloody Haloween . I'll say its the belt and the power of the predecessor of hundred of years behind them. And for the grade because she is teenager who solves elementary problem.)

So because she is more mature because of her previous life memory, she try to push her brother and the gang toward a good future (by nagging and helping them with school and lending an ear and give advice of what to do with life. Giving them that domestic stability vibe.). Fem!reader have a prophetic dream ability, the one where she dream about the death of her loved ones. She got very guilty about not believing her dream where Shinichiro died, so she try to make it up by saving Draken and her brother (can be an accomplice with Takemichi to save the future).

In Bloody Haloween, she, who never got into a gang fight, arrive at the fight to prevent her brother's death, without said brother knowledge or any of the gang. She came with preparation, a phone, a dictionary, an aid-kit with a guide book of how to help when someone got stabbed, and a belt in her bag. With a belt on her hand, she fight her way through the crowd (slapping people faces and butt right and left. You call it violence, i call it displince. Lol. Make it very funny.) toward Baji and got stabbed instead of him. When she got stabbed, she fished out her phone and call for an ambulance for herself. Still with adrenaline (i think adrenaline can save one life or prolong it) running in her body, she start nagging at all of them, Baji, Kazutora, Mikey, that guy who doesn't have any relation with this, Chifuyu about how idiotic this is and somebody could have died (she is still bleeding out herself and not refering to herself).

She yells at Mitsuya or Chifuyu to help with her stabbed wounds, she got the guidebook ready. She also reprimand Kazutora to work through his trauma without involving harm to oneself and others (she make sure to say that she forgive him for stabbing her, aggresively). And getting angry at Baji because he could make their mother cry again if he died. You can insert some emotional moment between Mikey and the Reader, where he confess his feeling, and she fainted after. Fast forward, a happy, emotional, and fluffy ending, where the Reader is alive and got together with Mikey (after years of pining in Mikey's end) and also include the Toman happy fluffy platonic familial scene.

(Additional note : Fem!Reader doesn't know about Tokyo Revengers, but the Tokrev bois surely surprised our dear fem!Reader with their super human ability. I mean look at Draken and Takemichi, they are ok after getting stab in the stomach and hand. And they also pull out the said knife, which make me want to scream at them because that is not how you handle stab wounds. Anyway, our fem!Reader die in our world in their teenage years but they have good loving family and she also a good student with good grades and good social life. And the fem!Reader is also trying to make sure the bois grow up to be a good person. She reprimand her brother a lot about that car-burning things. I get that the parental figures kinda suck, almost non-existent. But, seriously did your parents let you join a gang and let you be a delinquent who got into frequent fights? And they surprisingly, very accepting with the tokrev bois, especially with japan standard. Because that is what i read with most of these xreader. I mean, i know that my parents won't let me go out alone after the sundown. So what i mean is can we get a more realistic dynamic.)

I have not proofread. Sorry for the long ask. I know that the request is not open. And if it's like an OC, i am sorry. I just want to dump this idea. I don't think i would ever write the fic, i just think it will be a cool fic or idea. So i present this to you. the biggest thing imo is to think about what exactly it is that they specifically lost to the nords/empire and how it affected them. did they lose family members? their home? a piece of their culture? their sense of identity? odds are it's multiple of those things, but it helps to hone in on one and really elaborate on how it affected them. most of my oc's for example were most badly impacted by the sense of cultural loss as a result of their clans being largely wiped away, so they carry this burden of protecting what's left of their culture fiercely.

remember that there's a POINT to their anger. it goes deeper than just your typical insurgent type (which is a valid character to play but it's not a universal thing for all reachfolk!!). there's something they're protecting, something they care about, something they love and something they lost.

make sure they're still PEOPLE underneath all of it. even in the middle of the more "violent/barbaric/savage" parts of them, there's a piece of humanity. they still feel love, passion, humor, excitement, sadness, disgust, etc. they still have a moral code and a sense of morality, it's just that they're dictated by a very different culture. bethesda reduced most of their reachfolk characters to "anger anger hate kill kill kill," so try to really think about how your muse actually experiences like. the full range of human emotions lol.

reach culture is brutal and rough and pretty hardcore, but that doesn't stop it from being human. try to find the sweet spot where both things exist, ykwim? don't shy away from all the intense shit, just lean into it and try to find a different perspective on it that isn't just "oh shiiit look at these crazy savages." the more you read about the reachfolk and their worldview, the more this point will make sense. i definitely recommend the great spirits of the reach series to really better understand the way the reachfolk look at the world. it really helped me with understanding why they are the way they are, and it gave me a lot to work with in regards to how my own ocs internalize these values and how it all fits into their personalities and behaviors.

going off that, think abt their values and how it affects their mannerisms!! in general, the reachfolk covet community, hard work, independence, strength of mind and body, reciprocity, etc and it shows in EVERYTHING they do. there's a LOT i have to say about this, and i def plan on going into it in detail one of these days, but i think of all my posts this one is the most useful for this purpose.

Hello! Sorry this took a while to answer, I had to type up everything (apologies in advance for how much stuff I've written lol, I've just dumped a whole bunch of headcanons in here. I hope you find some of it useful!) and link stuff and also hack into my drawing tablet that I'd forgotten the password to and hadn't used in a year :P

Also, absolutely don't feel obligated to use everything I've put here, I really like seeing other people's takes on my Best Fam, and a whole bunch of my headcanons for Doriath are actually pretty loose, so if anything doesn't vibe with you, feel free to toss it!

Putting everything under the cut for the sake of the Dash

I don't remember exactly what I put on my sign-up, (I'm pretty sure I mentioned the Nolofinweans too? Whoops this is Not about them, hmu if you want a huge ramble about the Lesser Hellspawn too lol) but I think I forgot to mention that while I put "no ships" I'm fine with canon ships so long as the romance isn't the center focus (Esp. if you want to do family fluff with Beren, Luthien, & Dior) I'm not squicked by romance at all, but I don't know what your position on ships is, so if you don't want to please don't feel obligated! I'm also pretty sure that I forgot to mention a DNW of mine- I see Daeron as Luthien's younger brother and nothing else, which is one of the few headcanons I refuse to budge on.

For specific stuff I'd like: I really like good wholesome family fluff, and I'm really weak for the idea that related by blood or not you still should choose your family. I've got a whole Thing about Daeron and Luthien choosing to be siblings, Daeron choosing to be there for Dior, Beren choosing Finrod, Huan choosing Beren and Luthien, Luthien choosing Beren and mortality, etc. Choices make me soft.

Related: my opinions on Melian and Thingol are... not great. I'm working on a headcanon post/fic about it rn, but didn't want to slow this down any more, so to sum up: I think they did what they thought was best, and genuinely love their children, but legitimately do not understand what they want/need- Thingol is overprotective, Melian Doesn't Get incarnates. Post Silm quest they improve and get more accepting, though they still don't really understand, but the relationship between them and their kids is never very close.

(I've also got a very specific weak spot for Beren and Luthien's could've- would've- should've been friendship with Finrod and the gang. Another headcanon I refuse to budge on is that Beren hung out with Finrod and co when he was stuck in Mandos, and Luthien got to properly meet them all. But that's super specific and requires a Lot of ocs, so please don't do it unless it really inspires you lol.)

Here are some posts on my vision of the characters + dynamics, specifically: Daeron as Luthien's brother, Beren ROCKS, How I write Eldritch Luthien (+ Melian's Domain), Name headcanons!, there beneath the willow tree (fic- Daeron is Best Uncle), and I don't know if you want/need visuals but Melian, Daeron, Luthien (+doodle dump) (+her, Beren, and Huan)- also literally all the Luthien art by Kokiri85 (here's a specific one) and by @carlandrea

I do have a picture of Doriath, I did it in 30 min for art class last year, so it's not amazing but it's a good enough jumping off point: a dead part of Doriath, as seen through Melian's Girdle (the purple grid).

I see Doriath vaguely as having two general "types" of forest: "Normal" (pretty enchanted forest, nightingales are a little sus, some things glow, par for the magical course), and the Deep Woods (where stuff gets Weird, proper Eldritch Faerie-Land, you will not be coming out of here without a guide and/or Melian taking pity). In a few very small areas the Deep Woods turn to Dark Woods (Definitely cursed, probably give you magic radiation poisoning, everything is Undead and Immortal, High concentration of Melian's magic, usually either places she frequent(s/ed) or near the border that need more defense (Nan Elmoth was a result of this)) I have two fics about this: A Cruel Forest and This is a Forest, which both either state or imply that Doriath itself is debatably sentient as a result of Melian's magic

For terrain, I went to Alaska last summer and now it's basically the ideal Beleriand in my mind. Doriath has a milder climate- it's essentially the platonic ideal of a mostly deciduous forest, the St Croix River Valley in Minnesota is a good approximation, though obviously it's a river valley, while Doriath is not. Any really pretty forests work, honestly. There's wildflowers everywhere, and fruit trees (probably enchanted), and conveniently placed (literally) creeks and streams. It's also very magically circuitous- you might walk in a perfectly straight line and end up where you started, or going left might lead the same way as going right will.

Culture! This is... harder. I'm focusing on Menegroth here, but I have more of a general vibe I'm going for, rather than this being hard-and-fast. I see typical clothing as being fairly typical medieval fantasy fare- though a little heavier on the medieval, with some Chinese hanfu influence- the hair also, though with more braids, when convenient it's designed to show off as much length as possible (Luthien always wears hers down, which ususally signifies someone wild/who doesn't care much about appearance. She, Melian, and Daeron also never wear shoes). Lots of flowers, either fake or real (fresh or dried). Furs are worn in the winter, but it's seen as sketchy to wear the fur of a predator you/ your family didn't hunt, so while a hunter's family might have wolf-coats, a noble probably wouldn't. On the subject of hunting, songbirds are basically sacred, given Melian, so you don't hunt one without necessity.

(This headcanon is tiny and not very well formed but there's absolutely a secret cult dedicated to Melian, and while people might say that it's bad form, inwardly everyone has probably prayed to her once or twice because if there's an angel who has demonstrably protected you from satan, you want to keep that angel.)

Lots of really pretty fabric designs and embroidery based on the nature in Doriath (the less Spooky parts, at least), symmetry isn't really big, but the Golden Ratio (Fibonacci sequence) and fractals are. Usually there isn't a consistent pattern as the main focus. I've arbitrarily decided that they have a good way of making purple dye. Generally bright, cooler colors are preferred, to match the forest, but the goal is more "flowers" and less "mossy stone". They're very good at making camouflages for the guards and hunters, though, like the cloaks in Lothlorian.

Metal work is eh to them. Useful, but as a whole they aren't super into it. Especially after the Noldor (who love it) show up and get on the Iathrim's bad side. They like it in small doses, and heavily prefer silver to gold. On a related note- piercings are nearly nonexistent, except for on the really old elves who remember Cuivienen and/or the Great Journey, or some Laiquendi who live near the border.

They're all really into the Arts, Menegroth is covered in flowy half-abstract carvings and knotwork (influence of the dwarves), mosaics are really popular since they're more sturdy than paintings. Tapestries help keep the stone of the caves warmer. Song and dance is huge- performances happen constantly, available to anyone. I imagine it varies from more traditional songs of epic poetry performed by one person, to massive choirs. I'm not very knowledgeable about dance, but I think they've got something like ballet with a "greek" chorus backing it. Their plays are probably a lot like ancient greek ones structurally, too. Speech and song is very important, since speech is literally how they distinguish themselves as sentient, and music created the universe. In general, improvisation is valued, but there's a very specific structure to it. So it looks free and natural, but actually it's very rigid. (Symbolism for the rest of their culture? Yes.)

Menegroth itself looks like it was perfectly grown as-is, with sculpture and carvings added to it. It also doesn't really feel like it's underground- there are massive sections without a roof that act as skylights, and a whole bunch of layers. Natural light and air is definitely a priority. Lots of entrances and exits, since it's so big. It's not very defensible, except for that the layout is utterly nonsensical to anyone unfamiliar, and the enchanted forest + forcefield around it.

My opinions on Elvish magic are honestly worth a post unto itself, so to sum up: most of the stuff we would consider magic they don't. It's a type of art- to seemingly break natural laws and turn wool into shifting camouflage, or to gather starlight in stone, and it's based in the Song. What they call magic is very elemental- the three broad categories are water, air, and fire, which then break down/combine into smaller categories (ie. ice/weather/wind/light/temp./earth) it's very difficult, and very rare for Sindar to learn (seen as slightly heretical- like attempting to imitate the Ainur)

Maiarin magic is a whole 'nother beast. It kind of seeps into the area based on power, proximity, and time. Basically, it's magic radiation, only less overtly deadly (although that depends on the Maia in question. Osse's probably causes a whole bunch of storms and Bermuda Triangle-esque phenomena which. Not exactly safe.) Lots of incomprehensible Eldritch stuff, and heavily Domain-based. Their magic is seen similar to how humans see elvish magic ("That's totally magic!" "No it's not? It's just another ability.") and, once again, is entirely Song based- even more than elvish magic since it was the Ainur who Sang Arda into being in the first place.

so basically the band of ocs i’m drawing with Dethklok rn is a hard rock band called The Bad Existence Project, and they have 4 members named Adrian, Jude, Shawn, and Ash.

Adrian is the frontman / lead vocalist / lead guitarist. He’s a man of many talents lol. He’s also half-angel, but he has no idea that he is. (Side note, i should mention that in my OC universe demons and angels exist LMAO). He’s super nice and friendly and just all around great guy. He’s actually a demon, like a full demon, but he was banished to earth for the crime of killing his piece of shit brother, who just happened to be an important member of hell’s government lmao. Musical Juice. What don’t I like about him? Besides his dumb ass plan of a green card marriage lmao (I mean movie beej also sleazy af for doing that too). ANYWAYS. What I like. His stupid smile (both blum and brightman just WHY ARE THEY BOTH SO ATTRACTIVE AHHH), his unhinged pansexual disaster energy, who tf is letting this man do coke that is a terrible idea but it gives such hilarious results, the fact that he uses his humor with his trauma he needs to NOT call me out like that lol. I weirdly relate to Musicaljuice like a lot (as someone who struggles with trying not to be petty or get jealous and stuff like that), plus him feeling invisible and lonely also hit home really hard when people in middle school and high school would randomly just drop/ghost me out of the blue. He’s such a chaotic sleaze and I just enjoy his energy and his jokes so much. His dirty humor? Sign me up I keep it clean here folks cause I got another blog for dirty stuff but I like dirty humor when it’s done right lmao. Also dadbod. Dadbod is CHEF KISS. The little things I also enjoy. How he does have an affectionate side (him being just affection/touch starved also coming for the throat cause me too), the fact that he jumped to protect Lydia after she rightfully killed him and he even gave her his cowboy hat as a goodbye present. Why I don’t: I honestly do not hate his character at all, but, I can criticize his actions. To a degree. I can’t exactly say (ex. Musicaljuice)“Oh no! a demon trying to kill Lydia’s friends and family?? How unexpected!!” he’s a demon he’s gonna do evil-ish things. Which is why I applaud Lydia taking matters into her own hands good kid 10/10. and like movie Juice is a bastard sleazy man of course he’s gonna have a shitty idea as to marry a teenage girl so he can freely do whatever he wants in the world of the living. He never in the final script showed any creepy shit towards her which god I am grateful for I don’t need someone perving on this teenager that’s already having a wild time in her new house. He’s a conman just trying to have a good time but goes about it by crappy means. The petty/jealousy thing can go too far some times (but I chalk that up to musicaljuice’s sad upringing along with not having an positive relationships that we know of in his life to support him) for musical and toon juice (toon juice once again I don’t think had any friends that really understood him when he was alive and when he died so he just does whatever he wants since people already think so little of him before he meets Lydia), however with the proper talking to I think both could improve from it. Like in an analysis way I know these guys are fictional just like character development thoughts. All three have said and or done some things ranging from like small shitty things to problematic obviously. Beetlejuice is a very complex character as a whole. Movie juice obviously not as developed since he’s barely in the film to kind of shroud him in more mystery but that doesn’t mean his motives aren’t intriguing. I don’t want to make this post longer than it already is so that’s just all of my thoughts summarized.

Favorite Episode (scene if Movie): Fav movie beej scene is hard.

Toon Beej I’m trying to think. Once again I’ve only rewatched like 20+ episodes for the cartoon so it’s hard to pick with limited options. Summary: Felîn finds out that her sister is force-sensitive and is going to be a Jedi.

A/N: I don’t even know how writing works so lol here I am. I actually can write other things than the same old pairing on here and this is the proof. Sorry btw for being that but I happen to work on my graduation rn

It was cold that morning when Felîn was – tired and drained – on her way home.

Very cold actually, she noticed as she shivered and breathed out.

She was able to see her breath rise up in tiny white clouds.

She always liked how that looked.

It definitely would look daring if she had a cigarette in her hand.

But she didn’t, unfortunately, even though she could use a cigarette right now.

But it probably wasn’t the best combination to come back home early in the morning, smelling like cigarettes.

One thing was bad enough for her parents.

It wasn’t unusual for her, of course, to come back late or to smell like cigarette. But she didn’t want to give her parents another reason for being mad.

Even though, so Felîn thought, her parents should have gotten used to her behavior.

Felîn would never stay at home all night.

That was something for losers and boring people.

And perfect people of course. Perfect people, just like her little sister.

Perfect people, who didn’t even know what rule-breaking meant. That word simply didn’t exist in their dictionary.

Felîn shook her head, blonde strands of her appearing and disappearing in her sight with the movement of her head. She had to get rid of those annoying thoughts that ruined her day.

And she definitely didn’t want to come home form an amazing night, just to be in a bad mood almost immediately after that.

And this night was definitely amazing. She stayed away from home the whole night because she wasn’t a total loser. She actually wasn’t a loser at all, and her friends weren’t either.

They were cool.

And they were definitely cooler than awkward family dinners and going to bed early.

Sometimes they would rob innocent and unwary people in some small alley.

Other nights they would break into houses. That was some messed up shit, and Felîn definitely loved. Force, she almost lived for it. It was one of the few exciting and awesome things in her life.

There were nights with serious fights. Fistfights most of the time, but sometimes some people even had blasters or knives. These fights were really exciting, even though Felîn just occasionally took part in them.

She did fear for her pretty face, to be honest. She really didn’t want it to be bruised, or worse, ugly.

This night, though, was the best one so far.

This night she shot a blaster. For the very first time in her life.

It was amazing.

Her hands were still trembling a little bit from all the excitement and adrenaline.

But unfortunately – she sighed – nights were limited and she couldn’t stay away from home forever.

Here she was, in the early morning light, a little bit cold, right in front of her home.

And she really didn’t want to be here.

She’d rather be on adventures, maybe with some of her friends.

Stealing things, having fun.

Maybe someday she would have her own ship and could do all of this.

But until then?

Until then she had to enter the house and have an awkward breakfast with her family.

How she hated those breakfasts.

Her family probably didn’t even miss her.

Felîn shook her head.

That was a lie. Her sister definitely missed her.

They were a good team.

Even though Caleah deserved better than a rebellious big sister.

But her parents?

They were probably glad that she wasn’t there. Even though her mother seemed so nice, Felîn knew she was just as mad at her as her father was.

Felîn was the problem-child.

She spent her time with dangerous people.

She ignored the authorities.

She was a criminal.

She dropped out of school.

She was nothing parents would want from a daughter.

And it showed.

Her sisters didn’t seem to care, though.

Most of the time.

Sometimes Caleah was too busy being perfect.

Felîn let out a groan and opened the door.

She heard her family speaking, but the voices soon died down as they noticed her presence.

And now she stood here, awkwardly near the breakfast table, but she didn’t really want to sit down and eat with them right now.

“You spent the nights with those criminals again,” her father stated without even looking up from his plate.

Felîn sighed.

“No, I didn’t,” she lied, “and they aren’t criminals by the way,” she lied again.

She saw her father rolling his ears, and the anger almost radiated from him. His face turned red, it always did when he was getting angry.

She got used to that sight by now.

“Just sit down, please, and eat something,” mother interrupted the intense staring contest and saved the day.

Felîn nodded and dropped into her chair.

“You’re going to catch a cold if you stay outside the whole night without a jacket.” Her mother actually sounded concerned.

Not she was.

She probably didn’t care and needed a conversation topic.

“Sorry, it won’t happen again.”

Her mother laughed. It felt real, and Felîn – a little surprised at the good mood of her mother – looked up. Something definitely was going on here, Felîn just didn’t know what.

“What? You spending the night outside, or not wearing a jacket?”

“The jacket, of course,” Caleah answered for her sister and shot her a smile.

Felîn smiled back.

After everything that has happened, Caleah still seemed to like Felîn.

She didn’t deserve that.

She was not good enough for her little sister.

“I figured,” mother murmured, still smiling.

Her father was annoyed, Felîn noticed, at least one thing that’s still normal here.

“I’ll try to do better,” Felîn murmured.

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep.”

Felîn closed the eyes at the harsh voice of her father.

“I’m sor- “

“Don’t say sorry if you don’t mean it.”

Awkward silent filled the room.

“Let’s just … have our breakfast,” Caleah tried to save it.

She always tried to save it.

And it usually worked.

Everything she did worked.

It was awful.

She was too good for arguments.

Too good to make anything wrong.

Too perfect.

She was a perfect sister.

And even though Felîn should love it she hated it.

It made her feel even worse about herself.

Felîn’s father smiled.

The argument was settled.

Of course.

Because Caleah talked.

Everyone listened to Caleah.

She always did the right thing.

She always was good.

She had good grades.

Good friends.

She was good.

Simply a good person.

Maybe too good.

Felîn sighed.

A sound from outside interrupted the breakfast.

“Force,” the unfamiliar voice silently swears, “where’s the bell?”

“I’ll see who it is,” Felîn said, and escaped the awful breakfast.

She opened the door.

The man in front of her was old, his beard was gray and he had almost no hair left on his head.

He wore big brown robes – they were ugly, Felîn thought – and smiled at her.

She’s never seen him before.

He definitely wasn’t from here.

“Who are you?”

“A friend?”

“Yeah, no. Who. Are. You?”

The man opened his mouth, but her mother appeared to check in on Felîn.

“Who’s that, dear,” she asked.

“I don’t know,” Felîn turned to her mother, “he doesn’t have name it seems.”

“I do have –“

Her mother interrupts the stranger by taking his hand, shaking.

She started talking. Awful.

She always did that.

She didn’t even let other people speak when she started talking.

“Go, have you breakfast, hm?”

Felîn nodded.

She had to get out of here.

It was too much to take.

She couldn’t take any of this happy family stuff anymore.

This massive lie she lived annoyed her way too much.

She sat down behind her sister, silently eating her breakfast.

Her sister didn’t seem to care about the stranger at the door.

She didn’t eavesdrop – not like her father – or at least she did it inconspicuously.

Felîn finished her breakfast and was just standing up when her mother returned, smiling bright, like the best thing in the galaxy had happened to her.

“What is it,” her father asks, trying to look as unimpressed and uninterested as possible.

“He is a Jedi master,” her mother exclaims. Felîn had never seen her so excited before.

“What’s a Jedi master doing here,” Felîn murmured, her eyes small as she stared at the Jedi.

Jedi never came here.

Some days Felîn didn’t even believe Jedi existed.

And now, one was here.

Inside her home.

Something was definitely wrong.

“He’s here to -,” her mother swallowed, and started again, “Caleah is force-sensitive. She is going to be a Jedi.”

Felîn’s jaw dropped.

She stared at her sister.

Then at her mother.

She left out her father.

And then she stared at the Jedi master, who just appeared right behind her mother.

“A Jedi?”

1. Do you plan to publish? Will you self-publish or go through a publisher?

If I ever get a story fully written I would love to be traditionally published. Don’t know if that’ll happen but we’ll see!

2. What is your outlining method?

What I used to do mainly (I still do it but kind of as a pre-outlining stage) is I have a google doc (I do everything on google drive) and I immediately place down important information (title, summary, characters, setting, details, quotes, brainstorming, etc.). And when it comes to detailing chapters, I have found a very helpful tool to customize: the one page novel outline . Seriously it is so helpful. I don’t necessarily follow it exactly but it is such a great resource. Especially for keeping track of wordcount. 

3. What’s a weird thing that your MC does that they would never admit to anyone?

I’ve only just started this wip so I don’t have an answer to this yet- sorry!

4. How emotionally invested do you get in your stories? Are you able to write them out as an observer, or do you get angry when your MC is angry, sad when they’re sad, etc.

I think I’m fairly emotionally invested in my stories. I don’t tend to get angry when my characters are angry. Probably the only emotion of there’s that might influence my own is just when they’re sad. 

5. What is one thing you hope to improve on in your writing?

Description. Particularly setting and character appearances. I’m so thrilled because my art history class is going in depth about architecture which should be dull but I’m ecstatic cuz if I learn this stuff really well I can actually describe buildings in my stories! 

6. What is one thing you think you’re already pretty good at?

I feel like I’m fairly good at characterization and dialogue. I think that’s just from my fanfiction days of people telling me I wrote the characters in character. 

7. If you could trade in your writing talent for a different creative talent that you don’t currently have (ex: drawing, playing music), would you? Why or why not?

Lol um I’m an artist but could I still trade my writing talent for art talent cuz man that would make art school a lot easier. But actually I can’t paint for shit so maybe that.

8. Do your characters ever surprise you by wanting to take the story in a new direction? How do you deal with that?

Um. Never? Idk if its because none of my stories are very far along though.

9. We all have certain kinds of writers who get on our nerves. What are your pet peeves in the community?

I don’t know if I’ve been in the community long enough for anyone to get on my nerves. I love all of the people I follow as well as all my followers. I think maybe the one thing that gets annoying that I’ve seen reblogged is pretentious people who praise the classics but shit on young adult novels and other genres they deem inferior. Like chill.

10. What is a question you wish people would ask about your WIP? Answer it here ;)

I guess any question lol I don’t normally get asked about my wips. The one I’m focusing on rn is called The Elevator Game and its based on an urban legend I found online about how going to certain floors in an elevator in a row is supposed to take you to some other dimension. Its one of my first tries at horror so kinda excited.

Hey these are some object ocs i have for a little show I’m thinking of! i have a lot so i will put some details about who they are under a read more!

ok so there are three photos here (as you can see) and i will start with the first (I’m sorry its so long)

Teams photo, blue team:                                                                                      this photo is also split into three parts so i will go one by one in this too

Sequin: sequin is a pretty arrogant character, who doesn’t actually do much for the team and rarely participates (before being nagged about it of course but even then not that much) he does have a friend (and alliance member) JoyBuzzer they both goof off together almost constantly. He thinks he is incredibly lovable and is flirty a lot of the time but never gets flirts, who knows how he would react to that ;) (me,i know,he gets flustered 9000)  and anyway all n all he's pretty oblivious about most things actually. ignorance is bliss i guess, he's also pretty narcissistic.

JB/JoyBuzzer: JB is a character who makes kinda dark humor/anti humor on the show (ex: why did Gram cracker fall of the swing? Cause she didn’t have any arms.) he’s also a pretty strong character I wouldn’t want to mess with. He is friends (and allies) with sequin and doesn’t really help him keep with the challenge as the two are usually off to talk about whatever. Sequin seems to be the character he cares most about and actually is a good pal to him, with other people however it’s a different story he sometimes will be at best apathetic about them/their feelings and at worst tease them (which is not the worst thing you could do but is still pretty bad) but sense sequin was able to get on his friend side it is not impossible to become friends with him. I would recommend staying on his good side if you can.

GC/Gram cracker/grammy(only if you’re a close friend): GC here is a quiet and pretty sensitive actually, she trys her hardest to be neutral to basically everything as to not have disagreements. will cry if you call her names. protect her. I’m considering having her be mute but I’m not really sure rn, even if she isn’t tho she doesn’t talk much regardless,she is also pretty indecisive, and probably wears flower crowns in secret.

Feather: feather is an interesting character (to myself at least, she was the first object oc i created after napkin) she is the most motivated of the characters to get the challenge done and done well. she might act bossy but she’s a real sweetheart 

BH/Bowler hat/hat/b-hat: he and cane went on to the show already knowing each other, but got chosen for opposite teams. his half of the opposing duo is a more practical half who originally wanted to be an author but was pulled into this by cane, tho he’s having a good time anyway! also they gay.

Teams photo, red team:

Cane: cane is the other half of the separated inseparable two he is more up in the clouds as they say, and has a more positive outlook then most in the cast actually whoops. he and b-hat treat the game more as a couples competition then a game show

Gum: gum is a more upbeat character but she still understands the goals of the challenge probably has the most friends tho, she more is the mom of the team then anything actually. she keeps sour candy in line most of the time and also is friends with radio she is more confused about why he has to be in his own team then mad about it tho, but she cant help because of the rules she tries to do it in a loop hole sort of way tho.

Key: key is actually based on a key i have in real life! He is a very soft spoken character who is never seen without his scarf which he does chew on sometimes (projecting onto my oc? What, Noooo) and is generally anxious but overall he’s kind of ignored by most of the team unless he is doing spectacularly or very poorly. PK seems to be the only one who recognizes him through the whole show, yet he still tries to help and wants to be more of a part of the group. he also really likes dinosaurs and dragons

PK/Plastic Knife: pk doesn’t really care much about the show but participates anyway, like almost complete apathy. participates i think out of a feeling of obligation. In like the middle of one of the episodes they get a dog because why not. you can’t tell them they can’t have a dog, well you can but they wont listen. what are you gonna do about it.

SC/Sour Candy: sour candy isn't really the friendliest of characters, he has a case of resting bich face. he can let very small things frustrate him and likes a challenge. the thing that motivates him most is spite, he thinks the blue team doesn't do enough for the challenge and complains about it constantly, most of his complaints are toward sequin and joy buzzer, because they don't even do anything their alliance is completely unproductive and not to mention two people is a little short for an alliance, they need somebody to help them become a functioning team! though he's a total hypocrite because he complains so much he doesn't do anything for the challenge either. gum normally is confused about why he even cares about the other team and they sometimes have arguments about why he does.

radio: radio is a dude who is pretty talkative, yet thats kind of hard to do when his own team consists of him and only him because tv doesn’t like him and he doesn’t even know why himself. is it unfair? yes. is it going to change? absolutely not. tho even still he’s pretty nice but hates tv because he placed him on his own team but he doesn’t even know why

TV, The host picture:                                                                                         next is the host tv, this picture is not split up in parts so you don’t need a more zoomed in photo of the picture right? if it would be better i could edit the post?

TV: TV is the host of this thing he does not stop smiling for any reason =) all n all he’s a good host to most on the show and is nice to all most everyone except radio who he hates, why he hates him i will keep a secret ;) not much is actually known about him personality wise tho.

Lazer: lazer is a sort of closed off character and well as kinda secretly wants to take over the world. but honestly i would let her??? does not like being called anything other then lazer (not later pointer, or LP, or something else just lazer) she sounds more dangerous that way. probably has a leather jacket somewhere she wears around when she’s alone to practice being tough  

DS/Dandelion Seed/Dandy: a super excitable character lol, very random XD  she also doesn’t have legs if you have noticed and just floats around, an oc that has ocs is probably featured in cringe comps but h8rs gonna h8. brings more light to the whole show actually.

Flag: honestly i haven’t thought about him much unfortunately, he’s basically a wannabe superhero and tries to be one but is not that good, also he can change what his flag is cause why not

Stool/PK’s dog: just PKs dog but idk if it should be a stool or an actual beagle cause it is in the object world. do dogs even exist? what do you guys think? 

also this will probably be in web-comic form if i do this at all because i don’t know how to animate. now i feel really great actually because I’ve been working mostly procrastinating on this for like months whoops sorry (but I’m also kinda nervous about how people will think of these ocs lol)

to be honest it’s totally Devon. I’ve had him sinceee about the 6th grade, and he’s been concrete since about 7th grade (I’m almost a junior!). He’s so important to me :’). Whenever I feel sad I just work on him or write about him and it cheers me up real fast. 

haha his backstory is a loooong, complicated mess. I literally went on an 1.5-2 hour rant about his backstory at a sleepover once, it was ridiculous how long it took for me to talk about him. I actually wrote a response for this ask yesterday, but it got deleted I hate my life. It was soooo long because I wrote it in the way I speak. You’re probably getting a lot more than you bargained for :’). I’ll put it below the cut so everyone else doesn’t suffer.

basically they just?? end up getting along really well?? Devon spends a lot of his off days hanging out with her

probably Tamara also has a younger sibling, their name is Calix. they work as a doctor and dont see Tamara often but the two are close regardless

they’ll be important later but for rn they’re not relevant

anyway, at some point they make plans for Devon to meet Tamara and he ends up at her work

basically, Calix has been dating this girl for a while now and they’ve gotten serious but their relationship is not working out because she is a mess tbh and they love each other very much but they are not good for each other

Calix isn’t emotionally receiving or helpful he’s very blunt so they end up splitting up because she doesn’t need a relationship

Adella is a mess basically

the program she was recruited for made her very successful, very well known in her field and in a lot of ways, among common people

but downside is there was a lot of government dirty work she was kind of pressured into doing

there’s also a lot of hush hush skirmish’s that have been occurring that she had to stop

she’s been struggling with depression for a lot of her life and she has PTSD so when her contract is up she decides to take a break™ 

her and Calix’s relationship kind of falls apart but she’s friends with Tamara and she’s like I need to leave somewhere and get out of this messiness, i’m going to move back home (Canada)

After Divine Tree arc.Temporary Accommodations by Originia is an interesting fic where, through shenanigans, Shigeo’s body is kidnapped without his like, spirit thingy in it (using the strategy from the Mogami arc) and Reigen tries to rescue Shigeo (which Dimple is possessing in Mob’s absence). I fucking love Ritsu in this story holy shit.The Adventure of the Red Shoes by dyingplatypus. Ho. Ly. Fuck. If you only read one story, read this one. It’s funny, it’s quirky, it’s in character. It’s solving a paranormal case about haunted shoes, and Reigen being cursed. It feels like it could be an actual happening in the anime or something. Seriously. Read this one. It has a little reference to the World Domination arc cause Serizawa is in there but like. You could proooobably read it without reading the manga.He Just Likes Dogs by reiqenarataka nearly made me fucking cry in a dentists office. It’s about Reigen and dogs, what more could you want?Signed, Sealed, Delivered by entrenchedis a series centered around Teruki and his crush on Shigeo, even as Shigeo crushes on Tsubomi. He would rather never tell Mob and continue being friends, over risking their friendship by confessing.do make tomorrow a sunny day by dyingplatypus is a series based off an au I mention in the next question. The AU is one in which Shigeo is taken by Claw at a young age, and thus works for them currently. Ritsu grew up without a brother, only knowing he had a brother at some point who presumably died. Both Shou and Shigeo are a part of Claw and work for it, and things Shigeo took care of during the normal universe didnt happen. (LOL) is a growing and powerful cult, Teru still wants to fight people. There’s many different perspectives in the series and they all add up to a unique experience (I’m still real fuckin amused by what Teru thinks of Shigeo in the first chapter of his POV fic)tomorrow isn’t always another day by suitablyskippy is another good fic on par with The Adventure of the Red Shoes. It’s also quirky, funny, in character, and shows Shigeo and Reigen solving cases. Of a haunted copy machine. Which Mob is preeeetty sure they solved yesterday. And the day before. And the day before that….Three by Ravenesta is an outsider POV story from a teacher’s perspective, on Shigeo Kageyama and his mysterious third emergency contact, Reigen Arataka. It’s pretty cool, and shows some good shit. Return. Continue. by UncannyCookie. A series. Takes place after Mogami arc, Shigeo isn’t doing too well, hands feeling too itchy and wrong after he was driven to choking someone in that unreal world. It’s bad. He’s fine. Teru tries his best to help. The second story, though, Teru is acting weird and Shigeo wants to help him but he swears he’s fine. (also has some of my fave tags: “Teru is not a natural blond, that’s the real drama here”). This is the fic I find myself waiting for updates with bated breath. It’s so good and interesting. Love that shit.

15: Do you have a favorite AU?I don’t know of too many aus, but most are real good. I like the art I see of the ageswap thing, where Mob is the adult and Reigen is the kid, although I don’t tend to read the fics about it. Idk why. But there are other good aus too, like any where Mob ends up being raised by Reigen. There’s an interesting one on ao3 I saw where Mob was taken by claw at a young age and now kinda like…works for them? Idk. It’s good though. 

16: What would be your first or basic psychic skill (telekinesis, pyrokinesis, hydrokinesis, ect)?Honestly telekinesis. I’d fuckin own that shit, being too lazy to get up and grab things myself. I’d probably be like, hah, my pop is on the table literally inches from my hand. If only I could just float it over to myself! And then it does and I’d be like Holy Shit. Also, using telekinesis on yourself (if it’s strong enough) allows you to basically fly? I’d train til it’s that level and then I would be the least athletic person in existence. 

17: Do you like milk?I really like strawberry milk. I only have normal milk if I dip a cookie in it. Sometimes chocolate is ok too. And I only really have whole milk cause it tastes the best.

18: What headcanons do you have for (character)?I mean u didn’t provide a character uhm. There’s so many. Me and @pundeserving​ have been talking and whenever I come up with some headcanon I tell her and she may or may not add it to her headcanon list. Usually she does. I’d like to get my telekineses to a point where I can move myself with little to no effort, but having basic version of other powers would also be nice (like psychokinesis to light a candle or warm up some cold soup or smth)

20: Would you try to use your psychic powers for personal gain or only if you had to?I mean, if it’s (like i mentioned above) heating up soup, that’s kinda personal gain hah no but seriously if it’d unfairly advantage me above other people (in a sport or something) or harm someone else, I wouldn’t do it. I’d use it for little things like retrieving something that’s out of reach or smth, or if worse comes to worse, to protect my friends or family,  if there are no other viable options.
