The mystery of Teyvat has always fascinated mortals, and they have come up with various theories to explain its origins and workings (some smartasses). One such theory that has gained popularity in recent centuries is Deisification,

Which, as the name suggests, is a combination of Deism and deification.

It is the belief in a divine creator who is responsible for the world but does not intervene in it; at the same time, it holds the idea that people or things can evolve into gods. But none has succeeded for the time being, for the creator hasn't blessed them with a proper god-like blessing.

Deisification suggests that the world we live in is the result of a divine creator, but this creator does not interfere in the day-to-day lives of mortals—unless giving visions, in which the creator has given the authority to Celestia or the Celestia has took the authority to give— or other species.

Instead, Celestia the creator has set in place natural laws that govern Teyvat, which govern everything from the motion of the planets to the behavior of species or people idk I forgot what's it called.

But because of the same absence, caused the connection to the creator stir around. Losing your connection to the creator has to be the worst thing to happen throughout Teyvat times.

The creator has also given mortals or people the freedom to make their own choices and decide their own paths in life.

One of the key ideas of Deisification is the belief that people or things can evolve into gods. This means that through their actions and choices, mortals and other species (finally?) can gain divine-like qualities and abilities. Which has never ever occurred before, yet a certain someone is planning on to.

For example, a mortal who has gained a lot of knowledge and wisdom through their study and research may be considered a "god" of knowledge, or, a person who has achieved a high level of skill and proficiency in a particular field may be considered the "god" of that field, Or possession of a gnosis or a vision, the true blessing of Celestia the Creator for the ambitious mortals among Teyvat.

The concept of Deisification has far-reaching implications for devotees or mortals. It encourages mortals to take responsibility for their actions and choices, understanding that their actions have an impact on Teyvat around them.

At the same time, it also encourages them to pursue their passions and develop their talents to the fullest extent, understanding that through their efforts, they can evolve into beings with divine-like qualities and abilities.

In conclusion, Deisification is a unique and evolving theory that offers a fresh perspective on the mystery of Teyvat.

While it acknowledges the existence of a divine creator, it also encourages devotees to take responsibility for their actions and choices, and to pursue their passions and talents to the fullest extent, understanding that in doing so, they can evolve into beings with divine-like qualities and abilities, but with Celestia governing through Teyvat after the absence of The Creator, causing stirs of the laws, of their poorly awful choices and their behavior.

Deisification is a unique concept/theory/idea that brings together the ideas of both Deism and deification, two beliefs that were prevalent in medieval times. Deism is the belief in a God who is responsible for the world but does not intervene in it.

"Deists" Devotees believe that God created the world and set it in motion, and then stepped back to observe it. Deists also believe that God does not actively interfere in mortal affairs, but rather allows mortals to make their own decisions and face the consequences of their shit-

Deification, on the other hand, is the belief that people or things can evolve into gods. This concept has its roots in ancient Greek and Roman mythology, where mortals who were especially virtuous, heroic, or wise were considered to be gods or goddesses. Which was soon banned when some certain laws were applied on Teyvat. (Celestia a real pussy fr)

In modern times, deification can also refer to the extreme admiration or reverence for a particular celebrity, such as a musician or athlete, to the point where they are seen as greater than human. Or like those devoted or worshippers yanderes? Omg.... And like I said people love the people who were able to look like the creator and would treat them like they're not human~ (Hehehehehe, cause our SAGAU fanfic is becoming modernish *wink* *wink*)

Deisification combines these two concepts, suggesting that there is a divine creator responsible for the world, but that this creator does not intervene in human affairs. At the same time, it also suggests that mortals and other beings have the potential to evolve into divine-like beings. This idea implies that mortals can become more than what they are now, and that they have the power to shape their own fates and impact the world around them, if it weren't for the fact that Celestia made certain laws in Teyvat, this would've still applied to this day. In conclusion, Deisification is an interesting concept that brings together the ideas of Deism and deification, two beliefs that were prevalent in Teyvat times.

In conclusion, if Celestia didn't apply this so called natural laws in Teyvat everyone with a vision could've become gods or maybe even the other non-vision holders might even become gods or goddesses!

they used to be a regular human on a remote planet, but then apeyron (a certain type of negative energy in the lore) reached it, caused an outbreak of infection. the disease spreaded like wildfire and caused inhabitants of the planet to go insane and mutate into something beyond recognition. these poor beigns felt uncomprehendable hunger, leading them to cannibalism. after consuminv other beings, the features of the comsumed appeared on the bodies of the host, which was called "amalgamation".

a small portion of immune survivors kept fight off. for many long years this person stuggled to live, mostly because he got cut off from the rest and was left alone. after some time he had no other choice than to eat one of those infected, which led to unfortunate consequences. his body mutated, but his mind stayed clear. due to fusion he gained immense amount of apeyron in him, which turned him into living "nuclear weapon"

i'll start with Em because jewel's backstory is a doozy

this is the picrew i made of Em!

i don't know much about Em yet, she's very cagey about her history, but she's an earth ghoul, very traditional butch, she is mates with Mist. she's pretty deadpan, no-bullshit type of attitude but she's very protective of the ghouls she likes.

she often does guard duty for ghouls in heat, particularly those who prefer to ride it out alone. she'll stand outside their door and fend off unapproved ghouls who come sniffing, make sure the ghoul in heat has plenty of food and water and supplies

she is a backstage ghoulie, typically in charge of uniforms but she's been known to fill in on drums or bass if needed during rehearsals and the occasional show

now for jewel!

i got carried away with her outfits so here's several versions of her picrew lol

jewel is very old. like really fucking old. all the ghouls are old if you count their time in hell, but she's been on earth since she was first summoned like a thousand years ago. i was going to try to sum up my notes on her but i was encouraged to simply drop the 1.5k words i have for her, so here skshfhsh

it's kind of disjointed at first but bear with me, it becomes more cohesive later. also featuring some element headcanons (quintessence specifically) and a light sprinkle of sister imperator hc. and me doing generous worldbuilding

besties wake up new ghoul oc just dropped

her name is jewel, she's an earth ghoul but she's been through the other elements (in order: air, fire, water, and now earth) & she's waiting to become a quinty soon (note: i think that quintessence ghouls are either born into the element like the rest, but they can also be made via element transformation rituals but only after they have been each of the other main elements first. doesn't really matter what order)

also she's trans. ghouls don't really give a shit about human gender ideas, but jewel is so enamored by humans and human customs that she just. decided to be trans. and i love that for her

(and also jewel and em used to have... Something. neither of them will give much more information than that

back when jewel was a fire ghoul apparently, so probably a long time ago, bc she was a water ghoul after fire and is currently earth and she tends to stay as one element for quite a while)

also just thinking about how quinties that have been made probably have tons of people they've forgotten about over the course of their element changes

waugh. i think there's definitely some important people jewel has lost memories of, she's very old and has been on the surface a long time

i think she may have even had a lifemate before, & she struggled a lot with memory loss after her first transformation and they tried to make it work but…

anyway that may be why she's a flirt but doesn't seem to be interested in engaging with anyone who seems more seriously interested

like i think she's aware she's lost someone very important but it gets hazy after that

like how when you Know you're forgetting something but you dont know what it is

and it's like. when you Know you have memory loss but you can't even remember what you don't remember

and you might be aware of some things you've forgotten, but then it's like well what about all the things you're not aware you've forgotten

[here is the Meat of the lore]

jewel's been around for a long long time, but unlike ancient (yes i know they picked the name quinn but whatever, i think calling them ancient is fun) who spends a couple decades or centuries topside but ultimately prefers it in hell with lucifer, whereas jewel was summoned once and stayed

after the very first church who summoned her crumbled, she realized she did not want to go back to the pit and bolted as soon as it became clear they were starting to clear out the ghouls. they might have tried to send them back, but it wasn't pretty and they decided it was more effort than it was worth so...the ones they caught, they killed. so yeah. jewel got the hell out of dodge.

she ended up just kinda wandering around earth for a while, until another (small, amateur) church of satan got the same bright idea to summon ghouls. she's topside but she still heard the call and made her way over to help out, which was good bc these guys had no idea what to expect with new summons and she was able to simmer down the chaos a bit before they mauled everyone for being idiots (most ghouls aren't exactly stable when first summoned, even with all of the precautions in place. so you can imagine the disaster that happens when a church that doesn't really know what they're doing tries a summoning)

needless to say that didn't last very long, and when this church realized they were in way over their heads (which took longer than you'd think after summoning literal demons), they had no idea how to send them back, but luckily they'd only summoned a few and they respected jewel enough to stick with her for a while.

they holed up away from humans for about a century or so before the call came again. it made the rest of the ghouls antsy and twitchy, and they refused to go with jewel when she wanted to check it out (she was now worried that it's another group of amateurs who are going to get themselves killed and release a bunch of fresh summons into the world)

jewel tried to stay with her pack for a while, but she just couldn't in good conscience not go see who was summoning, so she left & they became the first group of feral ghouls

(sidenote i think that there are certain rituals that are more likely to summon certain types of ghouls, and certain rituals that just get you a random ghoul, but ultimately it's one of those things where it's a bit of a grab bag of whichever ghouls may have been more inclined to respond, or, depending on the power behind the ritual, just yoinks a ghoul at random. and that even ghouls who are topside, if they're not already "claimed" they can sense the call too)

this is kind of her pattern throughout her life, with varying lengths of time depending on how successful a church is, and occasionally she'll drop off a ghoul with her original pack that is really struggling but really doesn't want to go back to the pit 

over time she starts to be able to distinguish between calls made by people who know what the hell they're doing and calls made by idiots. she tends to follow the call to the idiots and Be Terrifying in order to scare them off of doing this on their own again, but if she likes the church she's with at the time she'll collect them and bring them back with her to her church

...also eventually she figures out how to send ghouls home to the pit, and she will not hesitate to do so if they are dangerous topside & express that they want to go back. she'll be like, "you want to go home? done."

over time she develops this affection for humanity in the way that very old characters tend to, but also a deep sadness bc she watches the same patterns over and over (and also she keeps getting attached to humans…)

so by the time the church that starts ghost forms, she's been around for....probably a good thousand years. they summon. she comes. there's something different about this group, a darker kind of determination she doesnt see a lot. first of all, theyre not scared of her or the other ghouls they summon. (following the idea that seestor is Old As Fuck, way older than she should be, i think at this time she is just a sister of sin. but she's there. and so is mister saltarian)

but needless to say, jewel is intrigued, and she was between churches anyway, so she stays. this group is the most ruthless she's seen with dismissing ghouls & summoning more, except sometimes they don't even send them back to hell, they just kick them out (they give no shits about releasing ghouls into humanity, they kinda want to see what happens). by now jewel has set ghouls up to live as a feral pack dozens of times, and the first ghoul the ghost church just kicked to the curb, she took them back to one of the nearby (kind of. it wasn't really that close) feral packs, but when it became clear they were going to keep doing this, she started helping the ghouls who got kicked out get set up in the mountains nearby (a lot closer than the other pack, but definitely far enough away from civilization they wouldn't cause any trouble. probably. generally, ghouls that form feral packs like that want nothing to do with humans anyway, but they have no qualms about eating any who stray too close)

this church is fucking ferocious about snapping up any wayward humans and bringing them into the church, they don't shy away from rituals, and jewel is fascinated with their idea for spreading the good bad word. there's been satanic bands, that's nothing new, she's hung out with a few of them & picked up some instruments (she tells me she's good buds with candlemass sjdhdh)

but a church forming a band primarily of ghouls and whatever the hell nihil is, that is new. so of course jewel wants in, and she's their most valuable ghoul so they let her (the amount of times she stopped them from doing rituals that would've gotten them all killed or stopped fresh summons from going on rampages is not small, and they respect that)

and that brings us to current times

...also actually though. the current clergy were the first ones to figure out the element change ritual topside (usually this is done only in hell, it's dangerous topside if you don't do it right) and they were going to do it on some poor random ghoul until jewel stepped in and said they should do it to her instead. and that they really want her to look over their ritual first

which actually i think quinn (remember ancient ghoulie? yeah him) steps in too, gently reminding jewel she hasn't been home in a thousand years and she may be a little rusty. he, however, does this all the time in hell, and oversees the whole thing to make sure they don't fucking kill jewel on accident

which brings me to the point that quinn and jewel met when she was quite young, i think they knew each other in the pit but more in the way that you know of the Big Boss Man in the company you work for and he pretends like he remembers you when he visits the store

but anyway, he was fascinated by her dedication to helping the dumb little humans and makes a point to find her whenever hes on the surface, and they are pretty close these days. although she mostly finds him annoying and thinks he should be doing something besides using the humans as his personal entertainment whenever he's topside, but they have the kind of bond you can only have with someone you've known for a thousand years, so there's that

“Y-you’re…? A-a Mew?” Sai was shocked, just what is going on in this world!?

“Okay, out of all the things you’ve told me. That story as well as this? Blew my mind.” Imitates exploding sound

The red mew wiped his tears away with his tiny paw with a sniffing sound, lightly chuckling. “S-sorry for keeping this from you… but, pokemon such as myself aren’t supposed to interact with others, but the stakes are high enough as it is… we have to take action now.”

“About what you said earlier… Were your erm… parents really that desperate to resort to that?”

Blaze gave Sai a look that was a bit blank before sighing.

“...Yeah, It was a gamble. Azul and Trish, my… ‘parents’ knew the risks. Azul went to bring a human from your world to assist us and Trish went to Arceus so they can set up the void lands: A realm separate to trap dark matter and… Grandma into there so they won’t interact in the physical world.”

The mew shook his head.

“Myself and Sis went to the human world to hide… but we went back to see how things were several years later and… they failed. Time works differently between the two worlds: One year here is a century over there and we found the world ruined...  Our grandpa ran and hid, trying to find some way to be safe since Arceus has deep connections to him, couldn’t risk getting caught. Mom barely managed to survive… she told me that dad had confronted his… younger sister and they struck each other down after being worn out by a bunch of void shadows that grandma created and Dark matter took the human for itself…”

Trigger gritted his teeth and growled “That freak… that’s why it took Mina… because she can give birth to a lot of pokemon, including mews… she was used to create more void shadows”

“Your uncle had to face… his sister? So wait… that means that…?” Sai asked as he felt a dread creeping up his skin

“Exactly, Mina during her time before the corruption was known as the ‘mother of all’. Another reason why dark matter went after her. To use her own children against us… even my own aunt and uncle…” The blazing-red mew continued, crying a bit here and there.

 “The human that was captured, through his memories. Dark matter was able to learn about your world and how much it… developed. So, instead of the tree of life dragging the world into its respective sun. It manipulated Palkia to create a portal and that caused the tree to collide with this one, taking dark matter with it…”

Both sets of eyes were on the mew before the Zeraora asked.

“Wait, back up…. Something that big should’ve damaged this planet either way, right? So why are we still…?”

“The comet that crashed into your planet 20 years ago, was the Tree of Life. In its decayed glory, xerneas’s dying light and spirit casted a spell upon this world. Sparing the planet but with the consequence of turning every human into pokemon. But this is perfect, they can arm themselves for the inevitable darkness that encroaches this planet today. Twenty years for humans to adapt, twenty seconds for humans to be extinct. This world has changed in the blink of an eye and no one, save for us three… know what happened.”

The mew was stern, Sai detected no lie in the blazing mythic’s aura so he had to sit and ask…. 

“So… what happened to dark matter?”

The mew looked at the lucario before shrugging, a bit frustrated. “...I have no idea, but the fact is that there are Void Shadows already, meaning that it’s somewhere in this world. Worst case, it fused with this one, but we have no way to confirm it. But it’s presence in the physical is what allows the Void Shadows to do what they did: Capture, Consume, Corrupt. Both of you have witnessed what they do and are capable fighters in your own rights.”

He pointed at Zeraora “A mythical pokemon like myself, self-taught but can use some improvement.”

Trigger was embarrassed.

“Er… hehe… do arena fights count as actual fights?”

“Eh… somewhat.” A small red finger to Sai “A human-turned pokemon who was resurrected in a way I never thought was possible.” “Dude, just say I’m a living miracle and stick with it. No need to go into detail if you already knew about it.” Cross-veins were on his head, signaling that he’s more than a tad irritated about the experiment

Blaze chuckled nervously… “R-right, sorry…”

‘Trigger’ laughed and patted sai on the back to calm him down who sighed.

“So that’s why you sought us out. Because we apparently don’t stick to the rules your old world applied, eh? This is our turf, not yours so you need to improvise.”

“Er… Well…” A really loud and lengthy sigh. “Okay, yes. I really needed help in protecting and saving your world from the mistakes of my old home and you two are my trump cards. There, happy?”

“Wait, our world? So it’s not just here?” Sai asked concerningly.

“Yes, even though dark matter is aware of what happened last night… it's also feeding upon the negative emotions from around the world. Robberies, shootings, wars, Experimentation, even kidnapping. Your world is more chaotic than my own in many ways. It’s a feeding ground for Dark Matter. But eventually, it would get bored and use their minions to create more chaos and cause the domino effect over and over again.”

“Oh damn…” Sai fell silent as he pondered all the possibilities that Dark matter would exploit

“...Crap, there’s no escaping it, huh?” Trigger grumbled with arms crossed.

“No. That’s why I'm seeking out powerful and strong-willed pokemon such as yourselves. It’s either that or stand by as your world continues to deteriorate and get consumed by it’s schemes from behind the scenes. This world deserves one thing that my world never had the chance to get.”

“Which is…?” Sai asked, tilting his head. “A bright future. Please… Help me achieve it. I can’t do it without your powers.” He bowed deeply, going on all fours even. This wasn't a demand... it was begging.

“This world needs people like you.”
