Hello Tumblr I'm back with some updates of my coding journey
I got a little ill so i was doing everything in a listless manner but still i proceeded to learn new things. And currently I am feeling motivated to continue progressing in that field even more

In the last 10 days I: - Finished Beginner CSS Course by Dave Gray (i am obsessed with his tutorials lol) - Revised HTML basics one more time - Played around on my foolish website with the only purpose of practicing new knowledge (i made this HTML about cats with the help of freecodecamp and reused it again to practice CSS basics so don't judge it i know it's cringy af but at least it works and) - And i finally started JavaScript and it's super complicated so i need much more time to proceed it to draw any conclusions
and some small off topic... i was watching some videos on YT about coding languages etc and I was reminded that I actually kinda(?) had Pascal basics in the middle school (even tho i hardly remember anything since it was more than a decade ago)
so a question for everyone have you had Pascal at school and does anyone know is it used for anything nowadays or it remains as a thing of the past?

Everything today is technology driven in this digital world. There's a lot happening behind the scenes when you use your favorite apps, go to websites, and do other things with all of those zeroes and ones — or binary data. In this blog, I will be explaining what all these terminologies really means and other basics of web development, data management etc. We will be discussing them in the simplest way so that this becomes easy to understand for beginners or people who are even remotely interested about technology.  JOIN US
What is Web Development? 
Web development refers to the work and process of developing a website or web application that can run in a web browser. From laying out individual web page designs before we ever start coding, to how the layout will be implemented through HTML/CSS. There are two major fields of web development — front-end and back-end. 
Front-End Development 
Front-end development, also known as client-side development, is the part of web development that deals with what users see and interact with on their screens. It involves using languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the visual elements of a website, such as buttons, forms, and images. JOIN US
HTML (HyperText Markup Language): 
HTML is the foundation of all website, it helps one to organize their content on web platform. It provides the default style to basic elements such as headings, paragraphs and links. 
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets):  
styles and formats HTML elements. It makes an attractive and user-friendly look of webpage as it controls the colors, fonts, layout. 
JavaScript :  
A language for adding interactivity to a website Users interact with items, like clicking a button to send in a form or viewing images within the slideshow. JOIN US
Back-End Development 
The difference while front-end development is all about what the user sees, back end involves everything that happens behind. The back-end consists of a server, database and application logic that runs on the web. 
Server: 
A server is a computer that holds website files and provides them to the user browser when they request it. Server-Side: These are populated by back-end developers who build and maintain servers using languages like Python, PHP or Ruby. 
Database:  
The place where a website keeps its data, from user details to content and settings The database is maintained with services like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. JOIN US
Application Logic —  
the code that links front-end and back-end It takes user input, gets data from the database and returns right informations to front-end area.

Why Proper Data Management is Absolutely Critical 
Data management — Besides web development this is the most important a part of our Digital World. What Is Data Management? It includes practices, policies and procedures that are used to collect store secure data in controlled way. 
Data Storage –  
data after being collected needs to be stored securely such data can be stored in relational databases or cloud storage solutions. The most important aspect here is that the data should never be accessed by an unauthorized source or breached. JOIN US

Why does every tutorial I keep seeing for learning how to make an animation "for beginners" NEVER talk about terminology or what words mean. Like yeah, I know onionskin, smears, and framerate and that level, but the video doesn't say it, what if someone who truly didn't know anything or where to start saw this and felt confused. I think that's an inherent flaw of tutorials of any kind, teaching you how to do something without explaining why or what things are. The assumption that you're not really a beginner at all.

The struggle that is me wanting to work on several longfics and just not having time for them all.
The big problem right now is that I'm getting really excited about the Time Travel fic again but I have two (2) multichapter fics partially published right now and I don't want to abandon them to get that one out. I definitely want to finish "Within a forest dark" before I get to TT, but I'm not sure about whether I'll stick with Inheritance Found before doing some of TT. Idk. It's hard to say. IF is an interesting concept to me, but not nearly as much as TT. I've been in love with Time Travel concepts since I was around 10 or 11, so it has a bigger grip on me than the kidnapping premise of IF. That and TT is currently sitting at over 100k words while IF is only the 5k I've published.
I guess one of my big decisions here is how in depth I want to go with IF. The more in-depth I go, the longer it will take me to get to the stuff I'm currently excited about writing. But if I rush IF, I might end up disappointed by the result. So it's hard to say.
...also there's the Nidstinien fic sitting at 45k in my drafts that I really want to fix up, but I have a feeling it won't be done in less than 60k so. That's also going to be time consuming. Ahhh! So many fics to write, so little time. Spending my evenings playing FFXIV 4 days a week really sucks up a lot of my free time... I'm looking forward to when we clear so I only have to raid 2 or 3 days a week for reclears instead. (Currently I have 3 days for Savage Raiding and 1 day for Extreme Mount Farm. Though....my FRU group wants to do more reclears too which will take up extra days so ahhhh my free tiiiiime I want you baaaaack).

Day 4: Getting Back into the groove of things
Consistency and I have never been good friends. Or, even just friends. Procrastination and I have always been old friends. It never does me any good, but habits are hard to change.
A lot has changed since the last time I posted. My personal life is somewhat in shambles, and I have been struggling academically. I have been barely passing my modules, and I'm weeks behind on my lectures. Coding has not been a priority.
However, something changed a few weeks ago. I was in the library with a friend, pulling an all-nighter, when he wanted me to make a website for something we were working on.
He said, "I thought you could turn this mind map into an interactive website", and I felt embarrassed to admit that I didn't remember how to.
That's the thing about coding- its a muscle. Use it regularly, it'll remember how to work. Don't use it, it'll atrophy. And that is what happened. And this little moment in the library was my wake up call.
I have never let setbacks hold me back. I have been knocked over before, and I managed to stand up again. This time is going to be no different. I'm going to make sure of it.
I enrolled into CodeAcademy's Beginner Python course, for a change of pace. And I made some progress on the RWD course by freeCodeCamp- not a lot, but enough to remember some things again.
I know people wait till the year ends to implement changes like this, but why wait a week when I can get a head start into 2025?
I don't want to make promises I can't keep, but I'll try to be more active on this blog as I continue my journey through coding. I hope you'll stick around, maybe even join me.

Just found a p good coding app! I've tried codeacademy and udemy but idk just struggle to stay focused on PC at the moment. Thought I'd try a random app called Programming Hub and it's actually really decent for a beginner and good at explaining the absolute basics !!
