6. A band you’d want to see live!

soooo many i can’t wait for live music again...honestly i think i would love to see the vaccines live which is kind of a random choice but i just think they’d be good? i’d love to time travel and see like...artists who i would DEFINITELY see now anyway but even cooler in their heyday like bruce or pet shop boys or stevie nicks. would also like to see bleachers again. that would be neat!

18. Favorite decade of music?

perhaps i gave this away in my last answer but probably the 80s...my roommates make fun of me for it (perhaps deserving) i just love like. classic rock and 80s alternative and synthpop and the whole lot of it. u guys know me here...all 80s all the time...

why i started watching it: i actually started watching bc i knew natalie dormer was on it (this was before i knew who else was on it hahaha) and then i found out who else was on it so i was like cool beans and here i am 5 years later suffering

1: name 11 bands you listen to regularly

The Oh Hellos, CHVRCHES, The Killers, Bleachers, HAIM, The Chicks, Bon Iver, Sara Bareilles, Hozier (I know they aren’t technically bands, but I listen to them more than some above).

8: which song do you think should everyone listen to at least once in their lives?

Hmm. I don’t really have a concrete answer for this, but the first thing that popped into my head was Fanfare for the Common Man (which is a piece of classical music).

9: explain why your favourite song is your favourite song

Although my favourite song tends to cycle and never stays the same for too long - gut feeling right now, my favourite song is probably The Lament of Eustace Scrubb by The Oh Hellos, which I love for a few reasons: 1) I imprinted on it for Regina while me & Cyd were creating our Neal&Regina step siblings au, 2) Something about the lyrics just hit that eldest daughter trauma feeling, and  3) I love the ‘let’s do two verses and then just go HAM with the instrumentals for the rest of it’ style of song.

the first song from this album I heard: probably born in the usa? my parents played a lot of these growing up

do I own the album?: yes! it was one of the first CD’s i bought when i started buying them for my car

my favorite song: this is HARD!! for album version, probably my hometown or dancing in the dark. for live versions, dancing in the dark or i’m on fire. though i suppose this is a bit of a copout answer...we’ll say my hometown today!

my least favorite song: probably bobby jean. sorry mr bruce i promise i still like it

a song I didn’t like at first, but now do: my hometown...i used to not be into slower tracks at all but now its one of my favorites...that’s nebraska’s impact...

a song I used to like, but now don’t: glory days used to be like one of my top top favorites but it’s dropped a bit recently and i’m not sure why. i still like it a lot!!

my favorite lyric: “there's a joke here somewhere and it's on me” from dancing in the dark. i think its fun and it pulls me back into the song. i also love it in lucy dacus’ cover for some reason

overall rating out of 10: 9.5/10. another one of my favorite favorite albums. i think for me, a lot of the songs here are more divorced from their album context and i’d be more willing to just listen to them on a playlist or on their own. this is one of my fav driving albums and i can listen to it anytime which i love. flows along wonderfully. i was going to give it a 9/10 and then thinking out my reasoning i couldn’t decide and give points as to why i like it less than nebraska so i was like. okay they are tied!

kat @libertydevitto I finished the gilmore girls revival and as bored as I was with rorys character toward the end of the og series the revival made me pity her a little especially cos whatever u would call her relationship with logan made her seem so unconfident and lost and totally not the passionate driven kid she once was....even tho I couldn't stand logan I thought him and rory were perfect together because they both could be selfish and constantly choose delusions instead of building a real life....and I think by beginning to write her and lorelai's story would make her unpack all thst so then maybe eventually she could be with someone real like jess and the parallels between them and luke and lorelai.. like in the og series when she was bragging about logan to lorelai and was like 'he's smarter than me' as if that's a good thing like jess would have been like how could u think some boy is smarter than you you're literally rory gilmore... rip
