I'm struggling to name my own charmander, do you have any tips?
I want the name to sound natural for a pmd environment (aka not a human name)
Smol bits of character I have are:
- likes to fight
- acts first, ask questions later,
- bit of an airhead
- nerd
Oooh, this is a topic I love. Names are such a joy to tinker with when creating characters. I'll start out with a preamble on naming characters in general before getting into specific names I'd recommend for this charmander in particular!
Tumblr media
Something to keep in mind about characters when you're naming them is who in the story is doing the naming. What is their relationship with the character? What is their opinion of them? What is their personal background? All of these things will influence the types of names your character might be given. The same is true if your character is naming themself.
(You can ignore these things if you want to free yourself up as you name your character, of course! I just find it helpful in narrowing down my miles-long lists of names I end up with.)
In the case of Twig, I knew Grovyle was going to name her, and that he was going to come from his grass-type background with most names he had been exposed to. He named her Twig because that's a common name amongst grass-type communities that implies smallness, youth, and on the namer’s end, a devotion and determination to protect the one being named.
Note that there's no such real-world implications in the English word Twig. It's more often used as a way to call someone scrawny and weak. The beauty of writing a story is that you can do what you want in it, and if you want the pokemon language to have a whole plethora of implications and connotations in their naming system, go for it! Just try and communicate it in the narrative somehow so that readers can enjoy it in full.
Alright, preamble over. Let's get into the names I've found after searching up “fire related words” and exhausting every online thesaurus known to man. I'm going to assume that your charmander character is named by a fire-type, likely a family member, which will center most of them around literal flames and heat, but I'll throw in some less obvious connections as well
Hearth. This name implies a more cozy, homey setting along with a tame sort of fire. However, it may be fun as a contrasting name for a hot-headed character.
Ember. A classic fire name, and one with a gentler sound than some of the harsher names below.
Spark. This might be a good name if your character has moments of brilliance despite their airheadedness— like if their nerdy streak has applications that seem to give them sparks of genius.
Pepper. An indirectly fire-related name, which may be given by a grass-type or its botanical root or a character who enjoys cooking.
Illumina. A name describing light— again, something that might be fun for emphasizing a nerdy streak!
Fizz. An onomatopoeia of a campfire hissing and crackling. It might be good for a character that surged up in their temper, but is quick to fizzle out. I think this one is really fun, but that's just me!
Wick. Like a candle wick. I love how this sounds.
Halo. This name emphasizes light and purity, and might not make much sense with its Christian implications in the PMD world. However, it could be used to refer to halos of light around the sun and similar things, which would negate that issue!
Aurora. I see this as being a name popular among both ice-types and fire-types.
Sol / Soul. Depending on how you spell it, this name is a reference to either the intensity of the sun or your character’s shining spirit. Or both, if you use some fun worldbuilding shenanigans!
Pine. A bit of a stretch, maybe, but I like the idea of referencing pine cones which release seeds amidst forest fires.
Tumblr media
Mallow. Like the above, a reference to bush mallow and baker's globe mallow, types of plant that thrives in the aftermath of fires.
And finally, Lychee, at my little sister's recommendation!

Sanji x GN!Reader: Day 15
tags: nsfw, omorashi, and reader wearing a skirt
Tumblr media
Sanji was always one to bring you anything you pleased. From large breakfasts to petite desserts, he often treated you to your favorites. One of the ways he liked finding out which dishes you liked was by making small sample plates for you to taste test. Today it was a selection of drinks he prepared for your tasting pleasure.
You wanted to be excited, really! The only problem was you really had to use the bathroom.
Of course, you could’ve excused yourself, but you didn’t want to be rude and have it come across like you were avoiding him. So, you decided to stick it out and try all his drinks.
“What we have first is a pineapple mojito,” Sanji announced, sliding the glass in your direction. The way the liquid sloshes in the cup makes your bladder begin to stir. Still, you take a sip, savoring the sweet and minty taste on your tongue.
He looks at you expectantly, and you give your verdict, “It tastes delicious!”
“Oh, I’m so happy to hear that, my love.” He smiles, sliding another drink your way, “This one is a peach and lychee soda.”
You looked hesitantly at the other drinks; there had to be at least six others on the tray. Still, you tried the fruity soda for Sanji. Your taste buds light up as the sweet mixture hits your tongue. It’s delightful!
Sanji doesn’t even need to ask your opinion before you give it, “I think this one might be a new favorite!”
He smiles wide, proud of his creation. Soon, he’s sliding another drink your way and then another. With each glass, your bladder gets fuller and fuller. Your face begins to heat up as you grow restless, your body warning you that you’re close to bursting. But when up against your body, your need to be polite triumphs.
As you squirm in your seat, Sanji notices something is wrong, “Are you okay?”
You nod, “Yeah, I’m okay.” Instinctively, you put your hand over your stomach, and Sanji furrows his brow.
“Does your stomach hurt? I could make you some tea.”
“N-No, it’s not that. Trust me, I’m okay.” You give a soft smile to try and ease his nerves, “Let’s just try the next one.”
As you cross your legs, Sanji’s eyes linger on you for a moment longer. You notice him raise a brow, a slight smirk on his lips.
“Do you need to use the bathroom, darling?”
“N-No!” You don’t know why you lie; maybe it’s because you don’t want to admit something so embarrassing, especially when he says it in that sultry voice of his.
“No?” He smiles, “Then surely you don’t mind drinking the rest of this last drink, do you?”
You gulp as he slides forward a green soda topped with cherries. The bubbles fizz towards the top of the drink as you eye the beverage. There was no getting out of this one, not unless you wanted to admit you lied.
So, you bring the straw to your lips and begin drinking the soda. As it washes over your tongue, you identify it as a melon soda. Sure, it was delicious, but your bladder was ready to burst.
You take the straw from your mouth, “Wow, that’s really nice, Sanji!” You smile, pushing the drink away, “Well, that’s all the drinks, right? I guess I’ll be on my way!”
You’re about to leave your seat, but he grabs you by your wrist, “Not quite. I said you needed to finish this one, remember?”
Your eyes widen in fear, and his grin lengthens as you seat yourself again. He had to know what was up now. There’s no way he didn’t.
Your thoughts are confirmed when he gets up from his seat next to you and hovers behind you, wrapping his arms around your lower stomach.
And he presses down.
You whimper as he applies the force onto your bladder, causing you to squeeze your legs together even tighter.
“Go on, darling.” He coos, “Drink up.”
Reaching for the fizzy drink, you take the straw to your lips yet again and begin to drink up, the sweet taste sliding down your throat. You kept going, the drink soon reaching its halfway point. You moan out as Sanji presses down even harder.
“S-Sanji, please-!”
He kisses your neck softly, “Please, what? You want me to let you piss right here?”
“I-I don’t have to pee!” You lie, and Sanji chuckles.
“No? So why do you get all whiny when I do this?” He emphasizes his point by pressing down even harder. You can’t take it anymore.
“Go on, honey.” He purrs in your ear, “Let go for me. I’ll clean it all up.”
Finally, you feel a trickle go down your leg. And soon, that trickle grows into a steady stream. You whine as the liquid goes down onto the chair below you, wetting your bottom.
You had never felt so embarrassed.
But Sanji is absolutely eating it up, a wide smile on his face as he watches you completely let go, “That’s it, darling. Let it all out…”
Your bottom lip quivers as your stream finally ends, the fluid dripping from the seat onto the floor below you. You wanted to cry, to run off in your soiled clothes, but you felt a kiss pressed to the top of your head.
“That was so great,” Sanji praises, stroking your hair, “We should do that again, preferably somewhere where it’s easier to clean up.”
“I’m sorry!” You quickly apologize, “I can clean it up. It’s my mess and-“
Sanji shakes his head, “It’s alright; I promised I would do it myself. You just worry about taking a bath and getting into some clean clothes. Here,”
With that, Sanji hands you his suit jacket, “Wrap this around your waist so nobody will give you a hard time.”
You take the jacket, your face now only flushed slightly as you stand, wrapping the coat, so it covers the wet spot on your behind. You were elated at the fact that you had worn a skirt instead of shorts, the wet area not traveling to the front of your clothing.
“Thank you, Sanji.” You smile, kissing him on the cheek.
He goes stiff, surprised by the action. Still, he dreamily sighs, “It’s no problem, darling!”

The last few batches all fizzed up beautifully when I gave them a stir - but this one? Almost nothing. First time using sencha, so maybe the culture didn't like the new tea? 🤔
But a new SCOBY mat formed as usually, so I'm assuming the brew is still good, just not quite as bubbly as before.
Tumblr media
23 Oct - Flavoured
Strawberry (250g) Ginger (25g) Nutmeg (11g)
Cherry (200g) Beetroot (50g)
Lychee (250g) Grapefruit (55ml) Turmeric (20g)
25 Oct - Bottled
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Strawberry Ginger Nutmeg was not good. Maybe I used too much nutmeg, or those 3 flavours just don't combine well - but it was basically undrinkable.
It was crazy fizzy though! 😂 I used a lot less fruit than usual but it was still explosive. It's only been happening with my strawberry and raspberry batches, so I'm choosing to blame the fruit!
Absolutely loooove Cherry Bettroot! Think I've finally found the right ratio of fruit to beets (4:1). You can taste the beetroot, but it's not overpowering, and it just goes so well with cherry. Suuuuuper happy with this one.
Lychee Grapefruit Turmeric is a winner too - which surprised me. I threw them together because it happened to be what I had on hand, and I didn't really expect it to work, but it really does. (I love it when I have no plan - and it works out anyway!)
The money shot 😉

Origins And Brand Evolution vividly flavored sodas, has carved its niche in the soft drink market with a burst of color and a plethora of flavors that tickle the taste buds. This effervescent journey from a local favorite to a global icon is a tale of innovation, marketing acumen, and consistent rebranding efforts. Here, we delve into how Mirinda established itself, expanded its reach, and continued to evolve in both branding and flavors to stay ahead in a competitive industry. Brief History Of Mirinda And Its Founding Mirinda, initially launched in Spain in the 1950s, quickly became popular for its tangy, fruit-flavored fizz. The initial success was a springboard for what would become a global brand under the banner of Pepsico, setting the stage for worldwide recognition and adoption. Expansion To Global Markets As Mirinda's popularity soared, it crossed borders, making waves in varied markets. By the 1970s, this vibrant soft drink found itself quenching thirsts worldwide. Each market welcomed Mirinda with open arms, and it became a global phenomenon, adored by people across different cultures and continents. Evolution Of Branding And Flavors The hallmark of Mirinda's resilience in the soft drink industry is its innovative branding and the introduction of new, exciting flavors. Keeping pace with changing consumer preferences, Mirinda has continuously expanded its flavor portfolio, from classic orange to exotic options like tamarind and lychee, ensuring there's a Mirinda for every palate. Its branding, too, underwent a vibrant metamorphosis, with modern, playful graphics and bold packaging, staying relevant and appealing to a generation that values authenticity and fun. Crafting The Signature Taste Crafting the Signature Taste of Mirinda Soda is an art form that combines vibrant flavors, quality ingredients, and the perfect amount of fizz to create a sensory experience like no other. Known for its bold citrus taste, Mirinda stands out in the world of carbonated beverages. Let's explore what makes Mirinda uniquely refreshing and how it stacks up against other citrus sodas. Ingredients That Make The Distinctive Mirinda Flavor The distinctive flavor of Mirinda is a result of a carefully selected blend of ingredients. The main components include: - Natural flavors: A mix of citrus extracts that give Mirinda its tangy and zesty profile. - High fructose corn syrup: This sweetener complements the citrus flavors and enhances the overall taste. - Citric acid: Adds tartness, balancing the sweetness and contributing to the distinctly sharp citrus note. - Food colorings: Provide Mirinda's vibrant orange hue, making it visually appealing. - Preservatives: Ensure the longevity of the beverage without compromising its taste. Comparison With Other Citrus Sodas When it comes to citrus sodas, each brand has its unique formula, but here's how Mirinda stands apart: Mirinda Other Citrus Sodas A unique blend of orange and other citrus flavors. Typically focus on one primary citrus flavor. Uses a specific type of high fructose corn syrup for an even, sweet finish. May use varying sweeteners which alter the flavor profile. Bold and intense citrus experience. Often lighter and less complex flavor notes. Consistent quality and taste worldwide. Taste can vary significantly by region and recipe changes. The Role Of Carbonation In Delivering The 'fizz' Carbonation is key to delivering the effervescence and zing that Mirinda is known for. It's not just about creating bubbles; carbonation actually carries and enhances the flavor in several ways: - Lifts the aroma: As the carbon dioxide bubbles burst, they release the soda’s citrus scent, amplifying the initial sensory impact. - Enhances taste: The slight acidity of the carbon dioxide complements the tangy flavors, making each sip consistently crisp. - Texture on the tongue: The fizzy sensation elevates the drinking experience, creating a lively and refreshing feel. Overall, the precisely calibrated level of carbonation in Mirinda ensures that each sip delivers the ultimate refreshment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWxZ90nm6BI   Engaging Campaigns And Audience Mirinda's vibrant and colorful persona has always been a crowd-puller, establishing it not just as a soda brand but as a harbinger of fun and enthusiasm. What better than a glass of Sofia pink sparkling wine in Marina del Rey sunshine? Francis Ford Coppola was a pioneer in so-called ‘celebrity wine’ here in California and set quite the benchmark. This delicate Pinot Noir sparkler is consciously modelled on fine (and underappreciated) Crémant de Loire from France and Sofia Coppola has struck just the right balance between a perfect aperitif wine and a wine to accompany food. Matched with a plate of spicy shrimp tacos this lychee/ cranberry fizz is in its element, but would also be a great match for a smoked salmon canapé. I award it 17. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqT6UFAP1v-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Previously on All Stars Ru auditioned the remaining queens to form a supergroup and collaborate with the iconic Henny. Instead of focusing on the task at hand, Gia continued to focus on the task of driving storylines and creating drama, pestering Farrah all episode and getting into her head before going on stage.
