Neat and different 1957 mid-century modern split level in Louisville, Kentucky has 3bds, 2.5ba, $244,900. You gotta see the kitchen.

A checkered floor in the open entrance protects the living room's wood floor from outside dirt.

Because it's a split level, the layout is different from the usual ranch style MDM. It has a sunny living room with a fireplace wall.

Enter the dining room thru the living room. It's not huge, but it's cute.

The kitchen is big enough to fit either a table or an island, but this kitchen is 100% original.

They painted the original cabinets to match the floor. But, look at that vintage pink oven.

This is incredible. How does it still work?

For its time, this was the height of modernism- a push-button electric cooktop. That panel is real chrome, you can see how it's pitted.

I guess you have the option of using the top or bottom buttons, but this was absolutely space age and high end.

Even the exhaust hood is original.

The blue fridge is vintage. I bet that little freezer has to be defrosted.

The bedrooms are upstairs. This must be the primary bd. b/c it's pretty big.

This bathroom was updated.

Bedroom #2 is a very good size, too.

This large room is being used as a home office, but it's a nice big 3rd bedroom, too.

This bath is original except for the new tub.

How this lasted, I don't know, but it's the original toothbrush/cup holder and when you push it, it turns and hides in the wall.

In the basement is a very large rec room or, as it used to be called, the rumpus room. (Let the wild rumpus begin!)

Since it's so big, it's really a flexible multi-purpose space.

The powder room is down here and it's been remodeled, but they kept the knotty pine paneling.

There's a modern porch in front of the house.

And, in the back, a screened patio with a deck.

The wooded lot is .29 acre.

where aroace!JC decide to take care of jl when the couple and his parents die tragically in an accident. jgs seem rather satisfied in a way, he's getting too old to take care of an infant (a nanny would probably have done it), while mdm jin seems a bit unsure. "Will you be able to support jl?", "Are you eventually going to get married?", "You know, it would be good for jl (and you) not to bring him up alone", "You cannot stay alone forever, I can help you if you need it".

But eventually, she does accept to let jc keep jl with him. Conditions are rather simple: being able to see their grandchild at least once a month and making sure jl isn't missing anything important to his growth.

jc is also given money each month, but he feels a bit awkward using it for himself, so he uses it for everything related to jl needs (and puts some on the side so he can enter a good school without him needing to ask for the money).

but raising jl alone /is/ hard, especially with college, the still rather recent death of his family and while also missing wwx who had disappeared months ago without leaving many traces behind other than an apology for leaving. He's still worried his brother got into some serious problems.

jc is seriously weighing the pros and cons of leaving college to work full time when he receives the visit of someone. The red dot between his brows gives him a good idea of which family he is from (it's the same one he makes sure jl is also wearing) but his memory fails him to really remember who he is (his near-constant anxiety has been messing with his memory too). "Jin Guangyao" smiles the man, waiting patiently as jc's eyes roam his face, clearly searching in his memory.

Then it finally lands. jzx half-brother! He also vaguely remembers jgy being at the nie brother's house at the same time as he was to meet with nhs (he wonders slightly how nhs is doing, they haven't talked in a while). he quickly let the man in, offering him something to drink ("Hope the tea is to your taste" he says, knowing the jin's often prefer expensive teas rather than the cheap ones he can afford).

He's a bit anxious, sitting on his side of the table with jl in his arm, drinking his milk. Why did jgy suddenly want to meet at /his/ cheap apartment (most not be the greatest look on him, he /could/ afford better with the money the jin send him).

jgy is quick to somewhat reassure him, he simply wanted to meet his nephew too (jc wondered why he couldn't have done so when he was visiting jgs and mdm jin, but don't ask) they chat a bit, jgy trying to learn a bit about how jl is doing and how jc is managing everything. they talk until close to dinner, jc asking if he wants to stay for dinner (more out of courtesy than because he can afford to feed another grown man). With a smile, jgy (thankfully) declined, saying he doesn't want to bother him.

This visit leaves jc anxious. sure he had managed to convince jgs and mdm jin to let him take care of jl, but what if jgy now wanted to take jl in. sure, according to jgy own words, he was not as close to jzx and jc was with jyl, but he still had a good relationship with him and wanted to also be part of his brother's son life.

the thought fills jc with fear. jl is his /one and only/ family left, he doesn't know if he would be able to continue without this little ray of sunshine around. jc is not stupid, he's pretty sure jgy has more than enough money to take care of himself and a growing child. jc needs to rely on the money given to him to pay for what jl needs without starving himself to do so.

after that, jgy always messages him before coming, wanting to make sure he doesn't bother them. the man is always nice and patient with him, even though his nearly constant smiling face makes jc uncomfortable and anxious at times (sometimes it just looks a bit... off).

but everything seems alright, nothing shows him that jgy actually wants to take jl away from him. He never comments on the fact that jl always has the rather nice and good stuff, while jc is still wearing clothes he already had for years and eating cheap food.

though, he does show care for more than jl. "You look tired today, did you study all night? I can look over jl while you sleep a bit" (he did study all night and then worked all day), "Did you eat properly? You seem a bit thinner" (his hours were cut and he had to reduce grocery for himself), "Finals are coming right? Do you need some help to study? I know how hard it can get" (finals are coming too quickly).

It takes time, but eventually, jc gets used to jgy being over and helping around a bit. He gets to learn a bit more about jgy (He was raised poor, hence why he seems to know so well what jc is going through and doesn't judge and help around instead).

two years go by rather quickly like this, leading to jc graduating and looking for a stable job (maybe he'll finally be able to have a stable salary and a better place, he already move to somewhere more decent, but it's still not the best).

by that time, jgy is already part of the routine he has, but also the top person on the list of people to contact if he ever needs help. He's also the only jin he actually feels comfortable being more himself around, since he already understood jgy wasn't there to find fault.

"mdm jin wonders if you have had someone in your heart recently" points out jgy one time as they have dinner at his place, jl sleeping near them.

The question immediately makes jc tense, which makes jgy smile fall a bit (jc pointed out he doesn't always need to force a smile on his face when he's with him).

jgy quickly wonder if he asked something too personal, as he tried asking simply because the rare times he does meet with mdm jin, she would ask about it ("You seem close to jc, aren't you? Did he finally started dating?")

He had wondered a bit too, since he had never seen jc with anyone else before. But there was also never a trace of anyone else at the young man's house, apart from his own frequent visit. With how much jc was working and studying, it felt like he never would have had the time for dating.

"You don't need to-"

"Will she take away a-ling if I don't find someone?" asked jc, sounding a weird mix of tired, scared and anxious. The man looked as though needing to date someone would be an annoying task, rather than something pleasant.

"No?" he says, more as a question since he wonders where jc took this, "I think she just worries that you cut yourself from meeting people so you can take care of a-ling" he replies.

jc doesn't seem convinced. mdm jin had many times brought back the subject, and it had also included how it would probably be better if jl had two parents.

"And what if I don't want to date? What if I /never/ wanted to date?" jc asks, sounding a bit angrier at that, because it was not the first time someone was trying to force something on him. Was it really /that/ weird that he had never wanted to date anyone? That he had never fallen in love before? Many were raised with only one parent without a problem, was it so bad for him to do it like this too?

jgy seemed a bit taken aback, as he had not expected this reaction from jc. the younger man quickly realised he had vented his anger on the wrong person, he could see jgy wasn't meaning anything bad.+

"S-sorry, I didn't mean to vent on you, I am just... tired of being asked all the time" he quickly apologised, looking at his tea instead of jgy.

jgy soft smile quickly came back, trying to sound reassuring "It is alright not to want to date, I personally just wanted to make sure you weren't privating yourself if you wanted one".

He was rather happy when he saw tension leaving his shoulders, his face a bit more relaxed too. a more comfortable silence settled down, the both of them slowly sipping the tea. yet, jgy couldn't stop thinking about the way he had said it.

"You never wanted to date?" he asked. he didn't push when jc didn't immediately answer, before shaking his head. "No... is it that weird? I just... never felt like that for anyone" he finally confessed.

jgy was the second person he ever told. He sure hoped he would be as understanding as wwx (though maybe not as confused as the teen had been, it had been quite the night, trying to explain his lack of attraction, but in the end, wwx understood and accepted it).

"Not weird, I think one of my friends is similar to you" admitted jgy, clearly thinking about it. "he did try dating, but he said he doesn't feel anything for his partner so he broke up and never did it again".

jc was a bit curious about who it was, wondering if talking to him would make him encounter someone who /understands/ him really. "Do you want to date?" jc ended up asking after a while. He had also noticed the lack of anyone else living here (other than the occasional visit from his best friends he seemed to have).

"I think I've had enough the last time, I'll probably wait a bit before doing it again, didn't end very well, to be honest".

The rest of the night went with jc talking about how he feels about all this, while jgy ended up telling some story of his rather not-so-good dating life. They came out of this night a bit closer, knowing that the other wouldn't judge on anything, even this.

As time went by they only grew closer. Even if jc didn't have a wife, jl ended up growing up with two parental figures around him, as jgy was often around.

at some point, jc ended up simply moving in with jgy, as it was easier than always doing the travelling between their houses. It was also easier to take care of jl, as they wouldn't need to drop him all the time. Everything and everyone was in the same house now, much easier.

mdm jin did seem a bit curious, but seeing how both men were seriously taking care of jl without a problem she never commented on it (she still believed maybe one day they would marry someone). at some point (when jl was entering his late childhood), jc did wonder if jgy wanted to date "I wouldn't want to be in the way".

but jgy had admitted this was enough for him. He had something he could call a family (even if a bit unusual) and didn't feel the need for romance. (though he did promise to tell him if he ever felt the want to).

jc was indeed happy himself like this. It was really nice to have someone else he could call family in a way.

Lan Qiren was an early bird, but he still needed a good handful of minutes to properly wake up in the morning.

Yet, nothing could have woken him up more than his hand not being able to find his Lan necklace.

He couldn't find it where he had put it on his nightstand, hand shooting to his neck in the hope he had put it back on before going to sleep the night before.

But no. no necklace was found here either.

He got off his bed, looking on the ground and around the bed, under the pillow and covers. Surely, it couldn't have gone far, he was certain he had left it on his nightstand after coming back from his shower the night before.

"Lan Qiren?" he heard asked in a sleepy voice, Tang Xing sitting up on his bed, looking half-asleep and unsure what was happening. Sure the older man usually woke up early, but he wasn't this active and restless either.

"Can't find my necklace" lqr replied, straightening up and looking around the room, racking his brain as to *where* it could have gone.

He wasn't a careless person, especially with such an important item. He knew it was placed atop the nightstand, in the middle to make sure it wouldn't fall off of it.

Tang Xing wasn't sure why lqr was in such a state, but sensing some distress starting to escape the other man he got up, ready to help. "Let me help you find it" he smiled a little.

He started looking around again, describing it to make sure he knew exactly what it looked like.

he wasn't sure why the man seemed so agitated over the necklace. Yet he could deduce easily that this wasn't the same as him misplacing his favourite earrings. for lqr who was usually calm and composed to look like this, it had to be special.

"Was it a gift from someone important?" asked the younger omega.

"It's a symbol and old tradition of the Lan family" lqr replied on autopilot as if it wasn't the first time he was giving such an explanation for it. "It used to be a forehead ribbon, but evolved into a necklace, there were rules about it but nowadays the family is way less strict on them, although it still stays really important. No one is allowed to touch them without permission, usually, only the family could do so".

"Wait, can I pick it up for you if I find it or do you want me to show you where I find it if I do?" Tang Xing asked as he looked back up from his spot on the ground.

"I give you permission to pick it up" the man replied distractedly.

they spent their whole early morning turning the room over. Undid and redid the two beds, looking under every piece of furniture,  emptying every drawer, looking into their suitcase, checking every corner of the bathroom.

The necklace was nowhere to be found in their room.

"Let's go to breakfast and ask the others if maybe they found it somewhere else," Tang Xing said, gently grabbing his hand and squeezing it a bit. He could see lqr was getting agitated despite trying to contain it all and stay calm.

the man agreed, knowing that it would most likely be useless to turn the room over again. he was *certain* he had it in his hand before going to bed the previous day, but maybe his memory was faulty and he could have lost it somewhere else ("impossible" his brain kept telling him).

They went to the dining room, not without checking around on their way there, finding everyone already eating.

"How rare for you two to arrive so late for breakfast" mdm Wen commented with a little amused smile.

the amusement dropped quickly when she noticed how agitated lqr seemed to be, Tang Xing clearly acting strange too. "What's wrong?" wrh asked.

"Lan Qiren cannot find his necklace" Tang Xing replied as they sat down.

"How clumsy" Su Zhu whispered to someone next to him, "no need to—"

"You cannot find it?" wrh asked while cutting whatever snarky comment to omega had, looking rather serious.

"No" lqr replied as he poured himself some tea to calm himself down.

"um... is it the necklace Master Lan always wears? Is it really important?" Yuan Mingzhu shyly said, asking what everyone around the table was wondering.

"It is an important item for the Lan family, an old tradition and something they hold dear" mdm Wen replied.

the lady proceeded to sign a servant to approach, asking for everyone to look out for it. "Oh and if you find it, try not touching it directly" she instructed before letting the servant go.

seeing how important this seemed to be, all the omega who didn't have chores to do for the day suggested helping to find it. After all, it couldn't have possibly gotten out of the residence, or at the very least the yard.

lqr and Tang Xing didn't miss how pale Su Zhu seemed to be at the news, not adding anything more.

the younger one seemed to be getting angry at this while the other was too preoccupied to actually care about whether or not he was the cause of all this stress.

"Renren lost something important?" came a little voice and a tugging of his shirt. he looked down to see wx standing next to him, frowning a little bit.

wrh crouched down next to his sons, explaining the situation so their young minds could understand it.

"Then me and Chao'er will help to find it," wx said with determination, his brother nodding next to him even if he was too young to really understand. "Let's go after breakfast so we can have the energy to search" he then said, grabbing one of lqr's hands.

the eagerness to help from the two boys made the man smile a little, accepting their offer. burying himself in stress would only make his search impossible, with the help of everyone else he could probably relax just a little bit. More eyes meant more chances to find it.

they ate breakfast rather quickly, the older man then letting wx guide him to the study. He was there often enough and did go the night before, so he checked it out with the two of them. But really even there he couldn't find anything.

"Nothing?" came the voice of wrh behind him, making the three of them jump as they were focused on searching.

"I don't seem to have dropped it here," lqr said. it was easy to guess wrh didn't find it either.

"Here, I have something for the meanwhile," wrh said, giving him a loss choker with what seemed to be a firebird pendant attached to it. "I know this isn't your necklace" he started, "but since you wear it every day your neck must feel empty, so I thought you could wear it until we find it" he suggested.

lqr looked at it for a moment, before offering a smile to the alpha, putting on the necklace. It didn't feel like his usual necklace, but it was still *something* there and did help him relax a bit.

"Thank you," he said softly.

"It's nothing" wrh smiled, "Do you remember where else you went last night?" he then asked.

lqr took a moment to remember. He did stay here reading until it was time for him to shower. "I passed by the living room to tell Tang Xing not to go to sleep too late" he did remember.

"Let's check out there then" wrh offered, picking up little wc when he lifted his arm towards him.

wx kept holding his hand, looking around as they walked. He talked with wrh, trying to remember what he did the night before.

They stopped their conversation as they approached the living room, both frowning a bit as they were raised voices arguing.

lqr could immediately recognise one of the voices (the loudest too) as being Tang Xing.

"I know you have something to do with this!".

"How dare you-"

"what is going on here?" wrh asked as they entered the room, little wx letting go of his hand so he could go look around the room while they were talking.

"Master Wen" the two omega replied, turning towards him.

Tang Xing still looked rather angry, while Su Zhu had a look of distress and hurt on his face. 

"Help me," Su Zhu said pitifully, "He won't stop accusing me of stealing Master Lan's necklace! But I didn't do it!" he pleaded.

wrh frowned at this news, looking between the two omega, before turning to lqr. It wasn't really useful though because the older man was already looking around the room. Right now he had no interest in drama, he could deal with Su Zhu later.

Still, wrh wasn't sure what to say to this. Tang Xing didn't look like the type to falsely accuse people like this, he was clearly genuinely angry.

Yet he had also never seen Su Zhu do anything wrong.

"Please" Tang Xing scoffed, "you've spent the last week targeting Lan Qiren, of course, you have to be behind this".

"But you have no proof" one of the other omega presents tried to point out, backing off when he received a glare from the young man.

wrh sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. Right now wasn't the time to argue over this. Tang Xing indeed didn't seem to have evidence of this... but he would probably need to ask lqr about this whole targeting thing too.

"Let's not fight right now, I'll look into this later, right now it's more important to find back the necklace" he pointed out.

Tang Xing couldn't disagree, especially when he could still see lqr being down about all of this.

"I checked the whole living room, but I couldn't find anything" he then simply pointed out, not wanting for lqr to search someone that was already looked over only to be disappointed.

And the day went on like this, lqr turned the residence over with the help of wrh, his sons and Tang Xing. But nothing came of it. this only made lqr feel dejected. He knew Tang Xing's accusation made sense, but there was no way he would admit to it and even less help him out either.

"Mister Lan" he heard from behind them as Tang Xing was walking back to their room with him, trying to reassure him and tell him they would eventually find it again.

They turned around to find Yuan Mingzhu walking quickly to them, looking a bit out of breath as if she had been looking for him all over the place.

"I-I think... I think I found it" she said, taking out of her pocket a handkerchief, opening it up to show the necklace she had found.

Tension seemed to leave lqr's body at the sight of it, feeling relieved now that it was found.

"It is indeed my necklace" he replied, picking it up from the handkerchief. he decided to put it on right away, not wanting to risk losing it. around his neck was safer.

"Where did you find it?" Tang Xing asked, eyes squinting a little bit, suspicious.

they had looked over nearly all the rooms of the residence, and so did the servant. How come they never found it throughout the day, but now she managed to find it?

This made the young woman tense, backing off a little.

"I-I found it in the flower bed around the gazebo outside," she said, clearly looking unsure about her own answer.

"But Lan Qiren didn't go there yesterday, how could-"

"Thank you for bringing it back" the older of the three replied, the shy lady smiles a little, wishing them a good night before running away to her own room.

"This smells fishy... isn't she Su Zhu's roommate and also often hangs around him?" Tang Xing asked.

lqr hummed a little at his words, hand mindlessly touching the cloud pendant. "We have no way to prove Su Zhu did it"

"But I am SURE he did it!"

"I know you are" lqr replied with a sigh, "And I also think he did, but... I don't believe she did anything" he admitted.

"Yuan Mingzhu never showed animosity towards me" lqr pointed out, "Yes, she does stick around him, but I don't believe she did it. Maybe she knew, but she wouldn't have known the meaning behind my necklace" he added.

lqr's impression was telling him she truly didn't mean anything bad towards him. She probably already knew that Su Zhu did it, but couldn't say so. She simply found back the necklace before making up a story about finding it somewhere.

"Did wen ruohan ask you about Su Zhu?" Tang Xing asked.

"He had some business to take care of and didn't have the time, but seeing how much of a scene you caused about it, he will probably ask about what happened in the past weeks."

"What are you gonna do?" Tang Xing asked as they entered their room, sounding curious.

"Tell the truth about what I noticed and can confirm was targeted towards me and coming from me," lqr said as he started preparing for bed after the exhausting day.

"I have no reason to cause problems and report everything, really nearly everything he did until now was petty, but I also have no reason to protect him and lie about what he did if I am asked," he explained.

"A Lan never lies" Tang Xing said, Imitating one of the things lqr had been telling him.

"Exactly" lqr replied, a small smile on his lips.

He wasn't one to store up drama on his own, especially when most of what Su Zhu did was petty and minor, but he had his own limits and there was no reason to lie either when he was asked.

This situation was starting to be tiring really.

Lan Qiren was sitting on the side of the bed, trying not to disturb the nest too much, feeling hands grabbing at the back of his shirt as he was reading.

Tang Xing had been a little surprised by his heat coming a couple days earlier than expected. And it started in the middle of the day too, just to not help.

"Do you need anything that I can get you?" lqr had asked, watching as the young man created a nest on his bed.

"I-I do have a lot of the things that comfort me..." Tang Xing said, seemingly hesitating before continuing, "Usually one of my friends or brother joins me".

lqr hummed at this. It would be hard to have anyone come from Qinghe.

"Do you want me to stay with you?" lqr asked, "I never did this before, but I heard sometimes the scent of another omega you trust helps comfort you". This was assuming Tang Xing trusted him.

The best would be an alpha, but this wasn't really appropriate here.

until now those who had had their heat didn't pass it with wrh (or any other alpha). But he could always ask if wrh could pass him an item that smelled like him.

"I wouldn't want to bother you," Tang Xing said from where he was buried in his nest.

"It's not a bother, I would hate knowing you uncomfortable and alone here," he said.

"Then yes, please" replied the young man, creating a little space in his nest so lqr could sit with him.

afterwards, lqr spent the day with him, relaxing in bed after warning a servant about it. He read when tang xing decided to sleep, left him alone if he wanted to be alone, chatting with him to pass the time too.

"Lan Qiren... can I ask you something?" tang xing started, receiving a hum from the older man, "What did you mean when you said you never did this? You never helped another omega?".

"My family is mainly betas and alphas" lqr pointed out, "the two other omega of my generation never needed it, at least not from me".

tang xing was quiet for a moment, seemingly thinking about it. he then tugged at his shirt a little.

"Then does it mean no one ever did this for you either?"

"... no" lqr admitted, closing his book, looking down at where he was laying next to him. "my brother did offer some item to me when it was needed, but I never had anyone tagging along".

Tang Xing looked suddenly sad, hand gripping harder at him.

"Not even once someone stayed with you?" he asked again.

"no, but I never felt like I needed it, my heat was never too bad" he replied.

his answer still seemed to not be enough, making lqr sigh a little bit, before smiling at him. "With the look on your face I would believe you were the one who never had anyone, I tell you, I never minded it".

Their family wasn't really that great at taking care of a Lan omega heat. A spouse marrying in the family? Of course, they had their partner, but one born in the family? it was something else since they had no one yet.

lqr never really got close to alpha in his life, mostly because he trusted none of them (his standard were apparently "too strict for an omega").

He did have a handful of friends throughout his life, but never anyone he would want around him when he was in heat.

So truly, he had gotten used to it and didn't mind. he knew some people had it pretty bad, his were always pretty mild. (or maybe he had just convinced himself it was alright).

tang xing was clearly not convinced, but when lqr changed the subject he didn't continue to argue, only staying close to him.

they were delivered some clothing items of wrh, tang xing spending some time trying to find where it would fit the best.

lqr was a little bit surprised that it was not one of the most important parts of it, instead, burying himself in one of his own shirts and holding a plushy close to himself.

the next day, they were visited by wen zhuliu. tang xing stayed buried in his little nest, lqr standing firm at the door, eyeing the bodyguard that was bringing food.

"Master Lan doesn't need to worry about me" the alpha replied, "I am not affected by pheromone and scent like most are" he reassured.

This did make lqr relax a little bit. Plus, he assumed wrh was the one allowing him to come like this to them, so he must be trusting him too.

"madam was wondering if you wanted to change room temporarily?" wzl asked as lqr was taking the food inside the room for them.

lqr seemed a bit confused at the question, wondering why he would want to change rooms for a couple of days.

"We heard a servant say you weren't going out so you wouldn't bring the scent of heat with you".

lqr hummed at the question, looking back at the sleeping tang xing. he really didn't mind. It wasn't like he enjoyed being around the other omega in the first place.

"It is only a couple of days, plus I would rather stay with him to comfort him," he said. wzl didn't argue anymore about this either.

"Does Master Lan knows if Master Tang needs anything".

lqr was about to say no, he didn't think so, when instead he heard a voice from the bed. "Jacket, I want the jacket...".

they both looked towards the sleepy omega, wzl looking a bit puzzled. lqr noticed how focused tang xing seemed to be on wzl, taking a guess.

"I think he wants your jacket" he clarified, tang xing nodding at his affirmation.

"I do not think this is... appropriate for me to give it" wzl said, considering this was a candidate for a mate for his boss.

"I am sure master wen wouldn't hold it against you if it were to make him feel better" lqr pointed out.

wzl seemed to think it over, before taking off his jacket. "My scent isn't really strong, but if it can help master Tang, I can lend it to him".

lqr took it, offering a smile to the man.

"On this, I will go tell Madam and master wen about your choice, I'll leave Master Tang in your care," wzl said with a bow before going back to his duty.

lqr then closed the door, bringing their lunch and the jacket to the bed. He was a bit surprised by how quickly tang xing took the jacket, burying himself in his nest with it, seemingly enjoying it more than what had been offered previously.

he decided not to bother him in what seemed to be his joy, eating silently on the side.

the following day of his heat went similarly, wzl now the one bringing their plates. This time he even let the omega take his jacket with no hesitation, letting them accumulate in the nest. He would have them back later anyway.

Once it was passed tang xing tidied up his side of the room, looking a bit embarrassed at the pile of clothes that had been stolen from wzl.

"I told you, he didn't seem bothered by it, even more since it was to help you" lqr reassured him as they brought them to the laundry room to be washed.

"Anyway, I wanted to thank you too," tang xing said to change the subject, "I really appreciated that you stayed with me, "I was a little bit scared that I would need to be alone this time since I've always had someone with me before" he admitted.

"It was really nothing, I wouldn't have been able to let you like this alone anyway".

when they went for breakfast this morning they were welcomed by (mostly) everyone, happy to see them both again. "We missed Master Lan's cooking" commented one of the omega.

"Renren is back!" came a little excited voice, something suddenly crashing in his legs.

"Renren, Renren" wc giggled, also crashing softly into his legs to imitate his brother.

"Everyone misses you but not me," tang xing said with some dramatics, mostly joking.

"No! I am happy to see tang-ge again too" giggle wx.

lqr surprised himself when he realised he had missed dealing with these two boys and even seeing the others (or at least, most of them).

Coming here he had never expected he would end up helping out one of his fellow omega (a first for him) or that he would be missed by anyone here either.

truly, staying here would only bring him surprises.
