Uncle Scarecrow Au

Essentially, in this AU thing, Maddie, and Jonathan Crane are cousins (their moms were sisters) that often see eachother when Maddie's family visits Georgia before contact was cut due to Grandma Marion and Great-Grandma Keeny

Jonathan and Maddie managed to reconnect for a year or two through letters when Maddie started college and Jonny boy is in the middle of getting his doctorate but lost contact after Maddie got busier with studies and Jonathan went to Gotham. They're on good terms with each other and once in a while in recent years, they'd give each other updates (and gifts. Danny and Jazz grew up hearing a bit from/about Jonathan when they were younger but stopped hearing about him around the time when he became the Scarecrow. So, let's just say when Danny's... 6? Ngl, DC timeline is messy and confusing at times)

Maddie and Jack only recently learned that Danny's a halfa, the ghost king at that, and accepts it. They start helping him wrangle up some of the rogue ghosts and throw them back to the GZ when not even a week later, the GIW started swarming Amity Park immediately.

This causes the Fenton Family to escape (though not unscathed) and end up going to Gotham, not just cause Jazz is studying there, or the fact that there's enough ambient ectoplasm energy there to cover up Danny's signature, but because Jack's apparently from there, has connections too, while Maddie knows that Jonathan could help. She's his favorite cousin after all and adores Danny and Jazz from the bits and pieces she sent him about them.

"Madeline," The man in the burlap mask nodded to her.

"Jonathan," she nodded back.

Danny can't help but feel tense and wary as he stares down at the tall figure in front of him. This was Uncle Jonathan? Don't tell him he's as big of a fruitloop as Vlad.

Maddie stares at him before raising an eyebrow, "I see you still aren't taking care of yourself as you should, huh, Jonny?"

He scoffs, southern accent becoming a bit more prominent as he spoke, "like you're anyone to talk about habits, Maddie. Intellect may run in our blood but having normal, sane habits aren't. Don't you remember Great-Grandma Mary?"

The two burst out into some chuckles.

"Glad you're still alive and well, then, cousin," Maddie says, taking the hood of her jumpsuit off along with her goggles.

"Likewise," Jonathan replies, taking his ratty hat and burlap mask off revealing a sharp, gaunt face with a long, hook nose, pale blue eyes, and rusty auburn-colored, bordering brown, hair, "Now, what's this about a government branch coming for little Danny, and how... Sensitive are you to gore and other graphic imagery of sorts?"

"I mean, I already died and have to fight ghosts-..." Danny piped up immediately, only to shut his mouth up just as quickly.

"... Remind me to set up a proper therapy session for you later, child."

Hear me out, DP and DC crossover where Scarecrow is cousins with the Fentons. 

 His mother was siblings with Jack’s father, and both Jazz and Danny met ‘Uncle Jonathan’ during one of the many Fenton-Nightingale family reunions that happens every few years. Honestly, perhaps it’s what gets Jazz interested in psychology, hearing from her ‘uncle’ about fear and its effects.

 And honestly once they start having to deal with ghosts and having had to deal with their parents for years it’s not really hard to talk with their uncle. Crane still doesn’t know how he became these kids’ favorite uncle, or even all of the family kids’ favorite uncle-cousin, but that’s just how the family is. 

 Really he’s not even the only villain of the family, with both Jack and Maddie being close but not quite, even if they’re definitely mad scientists. Their son becoming a local hero, even if they’re not aware of that fact, is just ironic. 

 John knows. The two kids told him when they found out that Danny may or may not need to feed on fear now that he’s half ghost, and well he’s the specialist about the emotion so…

 At least they have someone to stay with when Jazz goes to Gotham university and brings Danny with her, even if the local vigilantes are concerned as to why Scarecrow attacks have suddenly took a nosedive…

i already talked about it a little bit here!

i am going to put this under a read more because i know it’s going to get long! also disclaimer i am Not a casual watcher of danny phantom i have seen every episode several times you have been warned 🫡

FIRST AND FOREMOST I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO THE PEOPLE FOR NOT EVEN ATTEMPTING TO CAST EL IN THIS AU AND NOT EVEN REALIZING IT UNTIL 2 DAYS LATER. yes you can come to my house w pitchforks it is what i deserve!

el would be danny’s “cousin” dani, and if you are unfamiliar — she is literally an experiment/attempted clone of danny (will, in this case) himself created by vlad, who i would probably cast as brenner or split storylines between brenner and henry, potentially brenner and owens? like i said in my first ask, it’s hard because there are more st characters than there are dp, so there’s no way to really neatly assign everything!

i hesitate on the henry/vlad casting because although vlad is essentially the Big Bad of the series (especially in season 3), there are a lot of other really cool villains — specifically pariah dark, who is The Ghost King, uses a puppet general (fight knight/mind flayer parallels), and is one of (if not the) Big Battles of the show. there’s also dark danny, and it could be flayed!will, but there’s also an opportunity to make him henry bc of Foils, Your Honor! any input on this from anyone (even other dp villains that could work) would be so fun!

so, to recap and try give Some semblance of a plot:

will is danny! he got lost in the ghost zone as an accident and ended up with half-ghost powers. lucas, dustin, and mike tried to find him and got into amateur ghost hunting/fighting as a result, and they become a little ghost-crime fighting team (they Absolutely refer to themselves as the ghostbusters in their circle and everyone just thinks they’re nerds, which is true). lucas and dustin share the tucker role and mike takes on most of the sam role (i say Most Of bc upon further reflection - i think lucas and mike might share sam too)! el is an experiment meant to replicate will’s powers, brenner/owens orchestrated that, and max comes in adopting most of what valerie’s arcs would be. i think it would be cool to have billy be a ghost or ghost-obsessed and have max’s hatred for them be because of that!

family dynamics would be the same as to how they are in st. in dp terms, there is no jack fenton, but joyce and jonathan share maddie characteristics! erica of course would just be there as an addition bc she’s the best, and jazz’s role would be repurposed for nancy, with the only difference being that she’s part of mike’s family obviously instead of will’s!

plot wise i would just. take my fave danny phantom eps and rework them to fit what i wanted (me acting like i’m going to write this). definitely would include the “movie length” episodes like reign storm and reality trip, potentially the ultimate enemy depending on who henry ends up being — and obviously just flesh everything out.

More Magical Enclave Duoverse: Important Characters

In both timelines, Jimmy Reed is reincarnated on September 6th of 1977. In the original timeline, he is born to Rose and Jason Reed (Jason took his wife’s last name). In the enchantment timeline, he is born to Todd and Leticia Wood - and he is considered to be one of the clones.

In the original timeline, Jimmy Reed (as James Mathis Reed) has a twin sister named Jillian and a one-year younger sister named Jessica. While Jillian and Jessica were also born in the enchantment times, Jimmy was instead born as James Reed Wood. He has a sister (one year younger) named Lorina Aduke and a brother (four years younger) named Kingsley Hunter. In addition, Lorina and Kingsley are the offspring of Naveen and Tiana (of The Princess and the Frog).

In both timelines, the Bakers live across the street from Jimmy Reed’s family - just in two different locations. In both timelines, Zacky has a sister (four years older) named Zina and a brother (three years younger) named Matt. He has a brother (two years older) named Zavion Socrates in the Enchantment timeline, who is actually the clone of Socrates himself.

Merith and Elasha Kelthana are very close to Jimmy, his younger sister, and Zacky in both timelines. Neither Gena, Meaghan, nor Hannah exist in either timeline - so, in both timelines, Zacky and Elasha marry. In the original timeline, Merith ends up marrying Jessica Reed - while, in the enchantment timeline, Merith ends up marrying Lorina Wood.

She twirled around, placing her palms on her hips; a ridiculous look upon her features. She was frowning and most wouldn’t call frowning ridiculous, but she was pouting because I wasn’t all hot for Cooper Nielsen like she was.

“He’s /iconic/ Eve!”

Rolling blue eyes, I would laugh if I didn’t feel so bad for the girl. “He’s a fuckboy, Jody. We all know that he makes his rounds around the academy every time he comes to choreograph.”

All the men in the academy hated Cooper, but no one hated him as much as the director Jonathan Reeves. Director Reeves was married to Cooper's ex girlfriend Kathleen Donahue, his only semi serious girlfriend that anyone knew of for the past five years. They were together for two years (Cooper cheated for one and a half.) before one night Kathleen told Cooper she was leaving him for Director Reeves, their boss. Both principal dancers for the Los Angeles Ballet Company, the company that Director Reeves ran as well. Cooper couldn’t do a thing, except all the ballerinas here at the academy I attended.

Jody was going off on how amazing Cooper’s dancing was, but all I could do was think of what day it was. The anniversary of the day my ex-boyfriend was murdered.

“Baby, can you get us some more boxes?” I called out to Juice, my long term boyfriend of four years. Yes, I was only eighteen but I knew what I wanted. I wanted to attend the Los Angeles Ballet Academy, become a principal dancer at the Los Angeles Ballet Company and marry Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz.

“Yeah babe, be back soon.” He stole a quick kiss before heading out of my father's house, listening to his motorcycle rev up as he pulled out of the drive.

He’d been there for every big moment of my life, when we were children and my uncle killed himself… My first kiss when I was fourteen, when I was sixteen and my mother passed from cancer. The first man I had sex with, made love with (different things). And now, when I was packing up my life to move to LA to start my career as a professional ballet dancer.

He couldn’t come with me, at least not yet. Not with everything that was going on with SAMCRO, not like there wasn’t always something going on with SAMCRO.

The motorcycle club was my family's legacy, mostly my late uncle Wally’s legacy but soon after he passed my father stepped into his footsteps. Now he was too old to ride, helping run Teller-Morrow automotive while my boyfriend and all our childhood friends were in the MC.

It had been a few hours since Juice left to get me some boxes from the clubhouse and I was starting to wonder where he was. But just as I was heading out the door my cousin Madison was pulling up into the driveway in her truck.

“Hey! Are you here to help me pack? I sent Juice for more boxes but he’s taking a lifetime. Did you just come from the clubhouse?”

The look Maddie gave me was close to the same one she had when we were kids when her dad died, and again when my mom did…

“Who?” It didn’t take me more than a second to add everything up. But I still needed her to say the words.

“Maddie, if you don’t say it… I won’t believe it.”

Tears were streaming down her features, her mascara starting to smudge at the corners of her eyes. Like she was trying not to cry the whole dive here.

“Juice is dead, Eve… A Mayan shot him.”

Before I knew it I was in the bathroom, curled into myself like a child on the tile while I sobbed. Sobbed for the man that I loved, the man that I knew I was going to marry and have children with, sobbed for the last time.

I hadn’t cried since that day. Now twenty-one, three years since his death it still felt fresh like it happened yesterday.

Blinking away the memories, Director Reeves was speaking and I was pretty sure I missed half of it. But what I could pick up was that Cooper was going to choreograph one of the pieces in the workshop. The workshop that would decide if I had a career or not.

Cooper’s icy blue gaze found mine, not hiding the way he was smirking at me. Like he just found his next meal.

“Auditions are in three days, ladies and gentlemen! I suggest you all get plenty of rest and practice!”

I should have listened to Director Reeves, that I really should rest.

But all I could think of was…

I need a drink.

Secret Quartet- First Encounter

In a fit of inspiration, I began writing this. It’s my version on how the Secret Quartet met. Completely different (maybe not completely…), and I also didn’t want it to be like the other Secret Trio fics in existence. "So… what are we doing this weekend?" Randy asked, shutting his locker.

Howard hummed, pressing a finger to his face as he thought. "I don't know. Is there something happening in Norrisville?"

Randy shrugged. "Beats me. Is there?" 

They two elapsed into silence. Behind them, several of their classmates passed by, cheering.

"Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival!" Rachel shouted.

"It's this weekend!" Bucky announced.

"Citizens from everywhere, together!"  Flute Girl added.

They passed by, but Howard and Randy still remained clueless.

"I have no idea." Randy said simply.

Suddenly, a television screen behind them buzzed to life.

Heidi's face appeared on the screen. "What's up, Heidi Nation! This weekend is one of the most important weekends ever in N-ville!"

Her desk was decorated with maps and little globes.

"Starting this weekend, groups of people from other cities will be visiting Norrisville! The purpose is for everyone to have fun! And also so that the mayors can re-strengthen the bonds between our cities! Happy Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival!"

Howard and Randy blinked.

"Oh man I totally forgot!" Howard cried. "I've gotta get ready!"

Randy raised an eyebrow at him. "For what?"

"My Nana, Uncle Clive, Uncle Sledge, and cousin Vic are coming over this weekend for Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival!" Howard answered.

Randy blinked. "So?"

"So my mom's making me stay home with them!" Howard shouted.

"Does that mean I have to spend Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival alone?" Randy asked desperately.

Howard glanced at him and paused. "Yes." He answered, unsympathetically.

"What!" Randy shouted. "That's not honking fair!"

Howard shoved Randy on the shoulder. "Don't worry about me, I'll probably end up going with the fam."

"Not you!" Randy shouted. "Me! What the juice am I gonna do?"

Howard rolled his eyes. "I'm sure you'll find something to do with Nomi-what's it."

"It's the Nomicon, Howard. You know that." Randy retorted, before letting out an exasperated sigh. "That's not fair." He drawled out the "a" sound.

Howard crossed his arms and stared at him. "Stop whining, you shoob. Look why don't you Ninja out and jump around the city and stuff? You'll be popular."

Randy gasped, and his eyes sparkled. "Howard! You're a genius!"

"No, I'm pretty sure I'm not."

"Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival is going to be the cheese!"

"Norris-who what what?"

"Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival!" Jonathan Long repeated.

Jake's face twisted. "What does that even mean?"

Jonathan laughed and patted his son on the shoulder. "It's a city festival, of course! What else could it be?" He started walking to the kitchen.

Jake followed after him. "Uh-huh, so what does this have to do with me?"

"With us," Jonathan corrected. "We're all going to there, that's why it should concern you."

Jake blinked. "What? We're going where?"

Jonathan sighed. "Geez, Jakaroo, you need help cleaning your ears?" He went to the refrigerator. "We're going to Norrisville." He took out a cola. "For the carnival." Jonathan said before Jake could ask.

"But what about the Am Drag?" Jake shouted.

Jonathan waved him off. "Oh, New York'll be fine. Plus, I heard that the magical community is going down there, too."

Jake's jaw dropped. "What? The magical community too? They can't even take care of themselves! Why are they traveling?"

Jonathan frowned at Jake. "I don't think the American Dragon should be speaking like that about the people he should be protecting."

Jake clamped his mouth shut.

Jonathan sighed and ruffled Jake's hair. "Don't worry about it, son. Do what your sister did and start packing!"

"Dad, don't compare me to Haley." Jake grumbled.

Danny sighed and entered his home. Leaving his backpack on the sofa as he went, he entered the kitchen.

"Danny! You're home!" Jazz greeted.

"Yea, hey." Danny greeted, going to the pantry to look for something to eat.

"Danny, we have leftover casserole in the fridge if you want some." Jazz informed him.

He lifted a hand. "No thanks." He grabbed a stray pack of chips and started munching on them.

"Oh," Jazz started. "By the way, mom and dad-"

"Danny boy!" Jack Fenton's voice boomed through the kitchen.

Danny turned around, fearing what was coming.

Jack entered the kitchen from their basement with Maddie trailing behind him.

"We've got some great news!" Jack declared.

"Is it a ghost weapon?" Danny asked nervously.

Jack frowned sadly. "No, not this time."

Danny blinked. "Then what is it?"

Maddie moved over. "We're going on a vacation!"

Danny choked on the chips in his mouth. He coughed, soggy potato pieces flying out of his mouth.

Jazz recoiled. "Gross."

"What?" Danny shouted.

Jack laughed, slamming a large hand on his back and causing Danny to step forward at the force.

"I knew he would be excited, Maddie!" Jack bellowed.

Danny collected himself. "We're doing what?"

Jack looked at him. "We're going to Norrisville! For the Norrisville Cross Country City Carnival! Isn't that a great name?" Jack asked happily.

Maddie gave him a small smile, then turned to Danny. "We'll be leaving tomorrow, so pack enough things for a few days."

"What? Just like that?" Danny asked, startled, looking around at Jazz, who shrugged at him.

Maddie nodded, then stopped. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. We're going for the ghost exhibition section."

Danny frowned. "What is this thing?"

"It's a gathering of a couple cities in the city of Norrisville." Jazz explained. "They have all kinds of games, events, people…"

"Ghosts!" Jack added.

"No, dear. There aren't any reported ghost activities in Norrisville… sadly." Maddie told him.

Danny sighed and moved away, exiting the kitchen.

"Don't forget to pack!" Jazz called out as he left.

He nodded. "Yea, yea, I won't."

"Adrien."

Adrien looked up from his desk to see Natalie. "Yes?" He replied, casting a glance sideways to check that his kwami was hidden away.

"You're father wants you to pack your belongings." Natalie said.

Adrien looked startled. "What for?"

"He is taking you to a city in America. Norrisville." She stared.

"America?" Adrien blinked.

"Yes. Your flight leaves tomorrow. Make sure your things are situated." Natalie said again, before leaving.

"Ooh, America, huh?" Plagg droned, appearing on Adrien's desk. "I haven't been there in a while."

Adrien cast a glance at Plagg. "You've been there?"

"Yes." Plagg replied in English.

Adrien blinked again, before smiling. "That's pretty cool."

"I know I am," Plagg said, as he started floating away.

Adrien rolled his eyes, and turned his attention back to his homework. However, he found his mind wandering. He mumbled. "America, huh?"
