It was an interesting start for Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s Vol 2 DLC lineup. Though before it was Min Min months later in June, it had a lot going to pick other ARMS fighters to take it guess. Aside Spring Man already being as the assist trophy during the original development.

March 26th 2023 - at the end of a long productive day

As a renowned romance novelist, it was important for Daisy to be in touch with her own experiences with romance. So, if anyone were to ask her, she’d confidently state that in her life, she’d had a total of two “great loves.” 

Chronologically, she met Nate Mantle first. There was instant chemistry and that carried her along a rocky road towards an eventual, blissful claim. Before that happy ending, though, she also fell for another man; Danny Andrews - whom she had incredible chemistry with, as well.

It was a long while before she committed to either, but as she got closer to Nate and became familiar with his struggles, it was impossible to ignore the instinct to help him through them. Her devotion to his healing, and the love that blossomed when she started to see a new and improved version of himself come forth shifted her priorities and eventually she made the choice to be with Nate exclusively. She still thought of Danny Andrews fondly as an ever-important chapter in her life, but they had more-or-less loss touch after she graduated and moved out to California with Nate. 

Time went by and Nate recovered gradually, but the biggest change came when she announced her pregnancy. Seeing his motivation spike and his recovery expedite all for the sake of their child fortified Daisy’s love for her Dominant. In fact, she was, without a doubt, in love with him. She knew it was reciprocated too, even if Nate couldn’t express that in a typically romantic fashion. She’d always had this rigid view of what an epic romance was, but Nate Mantle showed her that there were variations of that ending, all of which were just as capable of making the heroine in the story happier than she’d ever dared to dream she could be.

Felicity Rose Mantle came into the world as red-headed as her mother and as passionate and fun-loving as her father. While Felicity very quickly became a Daddy’s girl, Daisy still had an immensely meaningful relationship with her daughter and her love for her was boundless.

On top of a happy family and love life, Daisy led a pretty successful career as an author of historical, smutty romances. While she liked to believe her work as a grade above the kind it typically shared a shelf with, the same audience ate it up and flooded her inbox with requests for more. So, Daisy was always writing, and using Nate’s historical knowledge to fuel and inspire her stories. Of course, she also convinced him to role-play some of the more erotic scenes she concocted, costumes and all, but he seemed to draw the line at modeling for the covers of her books...for now.

Veronica’s life hadn’t gone exactly the way she planned. When she enrolled at Stonewall, she thought she’d breeze through the experience like everything else. She thought she’d find a claim, either submissive or Dominant, some situation that would allow her to be a successful force of nature like she knew she was destined to be. 

That didn’t exactly happen.

Instead, she was struck by the most inconvenient, all-consuming kind of love for one person. She spent her entire time at Stonewall hooked on him. She made several attempts to move on and try her luck elsewhere, but she was addicted and kept coming back for more until she came upon her last year to find a claim. 

Panicked and terrified she’d suffer the same fate as Santiago, her father introduced her to Chad Gekko, Dominant and also on his last year to find a claim. 

On paper, he was perfect. Handsome enough, charming to a fault, came from a good family, seemed intelligent and would be able to provide her with the most important kind of security: a claim. Faced with no other options, Veronica gritted her teeth, tried to suppress the feelings she couldn’t shake for a certain someone, and accepted the claim. 

Years crawled by, and at first things weren’t terrible. Well, the sex was terrible, but besides that, they got along well enough, and he seemed a little intimidated by her headstrong personality and cunning tactics. She was able to more-or-less live her life how she liked. She pursued a degree in business at NYU and went on to become one of the most feared, revered, successful stockbrokers on Wall Street. Her light was dimmed considerably by the collar she wore around her neck, but her intelligence and skill was undeniable and earned her respect despite it all. Her last name had something to do with that as well. On sight, Veronica was her own woman who belonged to no one, and soon, Chad started to take issue with that.

He was essentially the epitome of a social climber. He’d been pushed towards Veronica by his power-hungry mother, a trait which he admittedly shared. They were a family of prominence, but nothing compared to the Lodges. So, irritated by Veronica undermining and one-upping him all the time, he took action. It started with a demand for Veronica to change her last name to Gekko. They fought about it, but after a while Veronica gave in. After all, she didn’t need her last name to be successful. She could do that all on her own.

Gradually freedoms were stripped away from her until she was little more than a house-sub who only left their townhouse for social events where it would look good on Chad to have Veronica clinging to his lanky arm. 

How the mighty had fallen. Veronica Lodge was miserable. She felt trapped and obligated to do Chad’s bidding for fear of breaking the claim and having only a year to find another one. Of course, the idea crossed her mind plenty of times, but then she’d think about him. No one would ever measure up, so breaking this claim just to be miserable in another one would be a waste of time.

Veronica felt defeated, but she couldn’t bring herself to tell her father or even her brothers about it. They all had their own lives that came with individual stressors and the last thing she wanted to do was add to it, or even worse, demonstrate any amount of weakness. She could brave the storm that was her ugly, love-less relationship with Chad Gekko...but what she didn’t realize was just how close she was to snapping.

Currently playing the lead in a revival of a revival of Funny Girl, in drag, of course, and anticipating another Tony nomination for the fact that he performs to sold to a packed house six nights a week.

3x Tony Nominee - due undeniably to the politics involved in awarding a submissive what only Dominant’s are privileged with. (This is a stance Ross feels very strongly about. He leads seminars and rallies to abolish and re-staff the academy with members that prioritize talent over a person’s mark. This, in addition, doesn’t help Ross’ standing with the academy, but of course, he doesn’t relent.)

On top of his occupational success, Ross is also happily, proudly claimed by Logan Lodge. When he’s not in Manhattan working and staying at their townhouse on Park Avenue, he’s at the Lodge Manor in Albany, New York, serving the love of his life.

March 16th 2023 - priming in process...

Owen graduated a little while after Sam, but once they were both done with their education at Stonewall, they moved into town to start their lives together. Of course, they were intertwined with Hunter, Delilah and Sky, so moving far away wasn’t at all practical. Luckily, they were in the age of remote work and learning, which meant Sam could continue his successful career as a content-creator on OnlyFans while Owen, to his own surprise, managed to get accepted into Harvard University’s business program. His Elle Woods fantasy had become a reality! He didn’t get a full ride or anything, so tuition was beyond expensive, but with the kind of money Sam was pulling from OnlyFans (tens of thousands per week) they managed just fine. 

Years went by and eventually they decided to move out of their apartment and take on a new, albeit risky business venture. With Owen brains and Sam’s brawn at the helm, they felt unstoppable. Sam, being the incredibly selfless person he was, never felt satisfied accumulating wealth without putting it towards the greater good - and Owen concurred. So, they hatched a plan. There was a Holiday Inn that was going out of business and in desperate need of repairs. Given the discounted price and the possibilities, Owen suggested they take a leap of faith and buy the property. With Sam’s name on the dotted line, they assumed possession of the run-down hotel and began to work their magic.

It was hard work, but eventually they were up and running. There was just one thing left: slaves.

Yes, slaves.

Sam and Owen wanted to make a difference. They wanted to change the landscape of their fucked up world as much as they could, being only two people. To do that, they decided to convert that run-down Holiday Inn into a safe house called The Evans House. 

Slowly but surely, Sam accumulated slaves; a few of which they knew well; Archer Clarington, Violet Cooper and Danny Andrews. All in all, Sam topped off his harem of slaves at about 20. They each had their own, lavish living quarters and were granted a bevy of freedoms within the safe house. Of course, even with Sam’s income, owning, feeding and providing for this many people on top of running and paying rent on the hotel was a massive, financial undertaking. So, Owen had the idea to put everyone to work.

A vast majority of the slaves were...sexually eager to say the least, so it made sense for most of them to serve as sexual slaves. The plan was for the safe-house to operate like a brothel of sorts. High-paying Dominant clients could book a stay and a slave of their choosing, or at the liberty of the hotel, given the kind of things that client enjoyed. The difference here was that the Evans House was staffed with ample security, all there to benefit the slaves. If a client overstepped, ignored a limit or anything else to make a slave uncomfortable, they were all at liberty to sound the alarm and the situation would be shut down. 

One might wonder; why would any Dominant spend so much money for a limited time with a slave under so many rules and regulations?

To Owen, the answer was simple, proved to be true and essentially flipped off the entire system. The slaves here were happier. And thus, the services were better and the clients enjoyed themselves more. Truthfully, unless a client was a complete monster who got off on the misery of their partner, dominating a willing, eager slave was bound to be more enjoyable than the alternative, especially when they got to enjoy all the amenities offered by the hotel, as well.

The government was hardly happy with them, of course - but their scope wasn’t quite big enough to derail the entire slave-system. Yet. Owen had plans to franchise out in the future, but for now, the project ran smoothly in it’s confined state.

Owen doubled as the head of the financial department, the front-desk person, and occasionally he assisted Sam and the slaves with the prospect of entertaining the clients. It was a busy life he led, but he felt perfectly purposeful and happy.

On top of everything, his other Dominant/boyfriend Hunter Clarington lived close by with his sister and his nieces and nephews. And it would soon appear there was even more good news on the horizon... 

Owen’s life was a lot of things, but dull was never on that list.
