Desmond as a maned wolf for the animal desmond asks?? With their long legs, they're so elegant looking!

(One of these days, I will tag all the Desmond turns to an animal ideas but today is not that day)

Oh my god. Look how elegant maned wolves look:

Unfortunately, this does mean that Desmond would be eye-catching, especially if we take in consideration how they’re native to Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, and Uruguay so… any timeline we put him in, he’s gonna catch people’s attention.

Unorganized Notes:

Altaïr would definitely try to keep him in Masyaf because he’s so eyecatching. Desmond starts making noises that sounds like he’s dying whenever Altaïr tries to leave him behind so he gets to come along but they make a compromise and Desmond needs to stay in the bureau. Desmond does use his long limbs to jump out of the bureau using the rooftop exit and guards who see him just freerunning on rooftops would swear they have seen a devil dog who can ‘fly’. Altaïr ignores all that rumors because he’d just get a headache if he admits Desmond has been leaving the bureau and the Rafiqs (and Malik) don’t bother to tell Altaïr what his ‘pet wolf’ has been up to because they know Altaïr knows.

Desmond would stay in Monteriggioni because Ezio asks him to protect his mother and sister. He likes to hunt birds and the servants in Monteriggioni knows that he’s requesting them to pluck the feathers whenever he brings his prey into the kitchen. They would give him a basket filled with the plucked and clean feathers that he would give to Maria in hopes of helping her. Everyone is wondering how Desmond knows about Maria’s ‘feather collection’ but they just try to reason that the wolf must have seen Ezio do it and is copying his ‘master’. Maria doesn’t miraculously get better but Desmond is sure he’s doing something good because Maria had started petting him whenever he brings a new basket of feathers. Plus... The kitchen staff always have fresh birds to serve.

Ratonhnhaké:ton definitely takes him with him but he always asks Desmond to stay in the forest if he’s going to cities. Desmond stays… for an hour then uses the rooftops to navigate the city where Ratonhnhaké:ton is. Ratonhnhaké:ton is never surprised and, really, Ratonhnhaké:ton is sure Desmond is more intelligent than most animals and treats him like they’re equals, much to the confusion (or derision) of others.

A lot of the early doodles of my Sonic stuff, you can tell I’m still trying to figure out the style as well as the characters. Let’s see-

1: This was right around the time I saw the second movie and my eight-year old heart was so excited by the end credit scene that I thought I’d make a proper oc for my favorite boy. But I did also have an old ass oc from the eight-year-old brain that I wanted to bring back and give her more of a story. To be fair, she was just originally Hannah Montana the Hedgehog, because for whatever reason I wanted to be her (then again who at that time didn’t?). At the time of this drawing I hadn’t really begun to flesh her out. Now, Nex is not a fox. He LOOKS like a fox, but is much taller than normal mobians and darker shades on his fur - he is a Maned Wolf. And a total gay disaster! Clara there is a really early design I tried for my brother (it’s his oc) but she has a updated (and much better) look now, so look forward to that!

2: While the details of their meeting are still iffy as I write them, Nex and Shadow meet while Nex is still under Eggman’s “care”. Nex has known about Shadow and the events of the ARK thanks to all the files that Eggman had on them, and while he read every detail he could he couldn’t help but feel bad for those involved. He wonders what kind of person Maria would have been if not for her untimely death, if her disease could have been cured with the aid of Project SHADOW, and the ultimate life form himself! It must have been terrible to have your whole world ripped out from under you like some sort of circus act. Imagine his surprise when Eggman, his self-appointed new father, suddenly brings the very ultimate life form that Nex had spent many obsessive grief-filled nights over to their base! If only he wasn’t so socially inept perhaps he could… befriend him. (Or maybe date him or whateva lmao)

3: Hannah and Sonic are best buds. Hannah herself is a very famous singer, going all around Mobius preforming songs to breath hope and determination into the fearful citizens! She respects Sonic as the saviour of the world, but also knows just how fucking uncomfortable it is to be fawned over every waking minute - so she just treats him like a regular dude and in turn he does the same. Together they just get to be normal kids, doing whatever they feel like at the time, and if Robotnik comes out of nowhere to fuck them up their Speed-Power combo has most botniks out of commission in seconds! The purple one is Anti-Hannah, that’s right baby Anti-Mobius is a thing in my weird fucked up world because goddamn it I love the little fucked up versions (please no one tell Man Blenders (iykyk) about this). She’s Hannah’s opposite (duh) and is all in all a rude ass bitch. More on her later I suppose.

4: Nex is a genius. He was raised (if you can call it that) by Eggman, taken under his wing as a potential prodigy. The only problem, Nex hated Eggman. In his defense, Eggman had wiped out the entire Maned Wolf tribe Nex was apart of just because he was having a bad day - the only reason Nex was spared was because he showed great promise of ingenuity and brilliance at the young age of three - enough it reminded Eggman of himself and decided to spare the Maned Wolf and take him on as a son. Nex however never wanted to be his son, but knew that if he ever acted out, he would kill the young Nex without a second thought. Also Hannah has some real bad family trauma, more on that later as well.

5: Yin is one of two, and since her brother isn’t here I won’t go into to much detail about her just yet. But look forward to it ;-)

6: Hannah and Miley (Anti-Hannah) are both singers in their world, I imagine Hannah is more likely to sing songs like “Nobody’s Perfect” and uplifting shit like that whereas Miley is a total slut and will totally sing shit like “Gimme More” or “Radar”.

A werewolf in Roswell (Liz Ortecho x male reader)

Living in Roswell came with its perks, the main one being the abundance of desert land you had to run around in when you shifted. 

You had been born a werewolf, where the gene came from in your family bloodline was a mystery but unlike those silly stories mundanes had been telling each other for centuries you were in fact not confined to the glow of the full moon however it was much easier to conceal yourself at night where in the darkness you would appear to be like any other wild animal that called the desert its home. 

To the world you were just a normal guy, keeping out of trouble and your head down low, despite your lifelong secrets.

Arturo Ortecho was happy to give you a job as a busboy after high school, you and Liz had been friends since childhood so he already knew you would be a dependable worker and a decade later you were still cleaning off tables at the crashdown Cafe. 

You kept in touch with Liz while she was away at college but drifted apart as sometimes friends do though when she returned to Roswell your friendship started to rebuild. 

A lot of weird things had been going on in Roswell lately, the deaths of Noah Braken and Jesse Manes, the white supremists running around with guns and alien masks supposedly protecting their land, Maria DeLuca going into a mysterious coma and Arturo's niece Rosalinda who looked an awful lot like his daughter Rosa who had died shortly after high school coming to town just to name a few. 

You needed to clear your head so you went outside the city limits and with no one around you shifted into your werewolf form. 

Running around the desert always gave you a certain kind of clarity but tonight was different. 

You accidently stumbled across a couples campsite, the woman screaming in terror and the next thing you hear is a gunshot accompanied by an immense searing pain coursing through your shoulder.

*morning* 

Liz walks into the cafe, taking a seat at the counter and Rosalinda pouring her a cup of coffee. 

She notices how a lot of the booths are covered with empty plates and coffee mugs from the morning crowd with you nowhere to be seen. 

"Hey where's Y/N?" She asks. 

"I don't know he was supposed to be in three hours ago," Rosalinda replies. 

There's two guys sitting a couple seats down from her at the counter talking very loudly so of course Liz and Rosalinda overhear their conversation. 

"Man did you hear what happened to Billy last night?" One man says. 

"Didn't he and his girl go camping last night? What did the drunk bastard do, fall into the fire pit again?" The other laughs.

"Nah they got attacked by some crazy animal! Billy says it looked like a wolf but was the size of a bear! Says it might have been even wearing pants." 

"Don't be ridiculous, they probably just drank an entire bottle of whisky and were seeing things." 

"Either way Billy said he shot the thing in the shoulder and it ran off, they packed their shit up and got the hell out of there," the first guy says stuffing his face with his pancakes. 

Arturo comes out from the kitchen, tub in hand to collect the dirty dishes himself. 

"I'm worried about Y/N," Arturo states, "it's not like him to not show up to work, in ten years he hasn't so much as even been late for a shift." 

"Let me call him," Liz suggests, taking out her phone and attempting to reach you multiple times with no response, "maybe he just decided to have a little too much to drink at the pony last night and overslept." 

"Can you go check on him Elizabeth, something just feels off," Arturo asks. 

"Of course Papi," Liz says, kissing her father on the cheek before she takes one last drink of her coffee and heads to your place. 

Arturo was right, something was off, Liz spots a trail of blood going to your front door which wasn't even closed all the way.

"Y/N?" She calls out, cautiously stepping inside. 

There's no response so she calls your name out again and this time is met with the sound of a struggled groan coming from your bedroom. 

She finds you on the floor, shirt gone and pants ripped to shreds with blood pooled around you who's barely conscious and what appears to be a gunshot in your shoulder.

"Oh my god Y/N," she says rushing to your side, "you're going to be okay I'm gonna call 911." 

With the little strength you have you grab her arm, "no don't." 

"You've lost a lot of blood, we have to get you to the hospital," Liz replies.

"No hospital, just need to get the bullet out and I'll be fine," you explain.

"That's not how that works Y/N," she says, spotting a pair of pliers covered in blood that you had clearly been using to try to pull the bullet out of yourself with.

"Liz, please just trust me," you beg. 

Against her better judgment Liz grabs the pliers and huffs, "this is really going to hurt." 

"I know, do it, please," you struggle to get out. 

Liz gulps, and sticks the pliers inside your wound, digging around for the bullet. 

You howl in pain but Liz continues until she feels a tap of hard metal.

"I think I got it," she says using her free hand to hold you still as she pulls the bloody bullet from your skin. 

The pain immediately starts to soothe and Liz sees your wound healing itself. 

"What the hell was that," Liz says in shock, "your shoulder, it's like you weren't even shot. Wait, two guys at the crashdown were talking about their friend shooting some wolf bear thing in the shoulder last night." 

"I'm not even going to try to lie to you Liz, I'm a werewolf." 

"Oh… okay… that makes sense," she says oddly calm. 

"You're not freaked out by this? I just said I'm a werewolf," you say confused, your strength starting to return to your body.  

"You being a werewolf is one of the least weirdest thing that has happened to me in the last few years," she tells you.

"What does that mean?" 

"Y/N… do you believe in aliens?"

SPEECH MANNERISM: Nick has an exceptionally deep and soothing voice and an unhasty, very deliberate way of speaking. It becomes obvious that he thinks before he talks, though when he’s overwhelmed by emotion, he tends to stumble and trip over his own words leaving his utterances often a bit of a jumbled and incomplete mess. He deliberately slips into Portuguese when cursing, and accidentally so when he feels overwhelmed or exhausted.

STRENGTHS:  Being a werewolf, Nick is more resilient and physically stronger than humans, and has shown an accelerated wound healing; his aural and olfactory senses are also more advanced

WEAKNESSES: Silver. On open wounds silver acts like poison, causing the werewolf pain and making him weak. On bare skin, silver can leave a chemical burn, and bindings of silver will make it impossible for Nick to break free without help.

INTERESTS: as much as he loves books, being surrounded by them in his bookshop for most of the day leaves him to appreciate more passively consumed arts even more: lazing on the couch enjoying a movie or listening to music tops the list, even better when he gets to sip a hot cup of coffee or a cold beer while at it.

Maria has magical tarot vision she discovered with little effort and might have been nice of her to try before endangering people's lives and careers earlier; Maria cautioning Kyle about Is being happy, like he shouldn't interfere, is some fucking aneurysm-inducing hypocrisy; no one worrying over kidnapped Michael as much as fixing Max; Michael is at the fucking bunker the whole time which should be obvious; Alex spends more time consoling Max than them discussing Michael; Eduardo apparently tells Alex about Michael and we don't see it; Michael reunites with Alex bloody and nearly dead and we don't see it; Echo gets to talk and reassure other for the entire 2 hours with sweet scenes while Malex got maybe 3 minutes (Chris Hollier you are full of shit); Maria finds Michael and I reach a personal record in the octave hit with my internal screaming; Isobel is suddenly a lone wolf when since S1 she has always emphasized keeping her brothers close; Isobel's S2 progress erased so Maria could have a sister moment; the bracelet, that wasn't deliberately not used all season is suddenly reason that Is owes Maria an IOU; not even getting 5 secs of Kylex joy when Alex teasers Jones; Eduardo confronting Jones makes no sense; Michael's trip to the turquoise mines when time is precious to do therapy mining makes no sense; but Michael can apparently teleport now too; constant pep talks for Max, Liz, Heath, and Is by everyone; No one feels the need to check on the mental health of queer couple, one of who was stabbed and kidnapped and the other their soulmate; Kyle still not getting either a happy ending or acknowledgment besides Isobel; the ridiculousness of "the science" and the show's idea of how long experiments take; Max calls Michael "Guerin" during the Jones confrontation (when the fuck was that a thing); the frequency forcing body swapping is dumb; Rosa is completely underutilized; Finally Malex, still can't exist in public with the main group and Alex can't exist almost at all, even in the areas where his story arc takes place. Sorry this is long, it's been probably not even a complete list, but the finale seriously has me asking how much do I actually enjoy this show if this is how i feel at the end of every season. Is Malex being happy finally supposed to let me ignore how they are treated? I'll go catch up on weewoo show now friend, keep on salting!

Hello my friend! I'm still working my way through my very full inbox (this is what I get for taking so long to watch the episode) but I wanted to make sure I got to yours before tomorrow is taken up with the wee woo show my beloved, especially because my sparks/not spark joy post will probably still take me a bit to work up because I'm running so late and it was a double episode with lots of frustrations.

So thanks for your list! and wow, it is...hard to look at it all laid out like that. There were so, so many missed opportunities in these episodes and some straight up weird choices/pairings that were made. It all felt soooo rushed. If only there were some earlier plot lines that went nowhere and affected nothing that could have been cut earlier in the season to make time for this main plot to come together 🤔🤔🤔

It's so frustrating that by cutting that vision plot (whoo boy do I have a post in the works about that!), that a lot of these other issues could be solved because one of the big complaints (again, still, always) is the writers telling instead of showing important things and with more time we could have had that. And unfortunately since they still don't know what to do with m*ria or how to make her useful she ended up just stealing moments that should have gone to other characters, or Isobel had to regress in her progress to give m*ria something to do.

And the "science" 🙄🙄🙄 Look. Yes this is a show about aliens and a very smart scientist. But the science isn't real. So it doesn't really matter if we know "how" it works. Because a) people who actually know science are going to want to tear their hair out when it's incorrect, and b) people who don't know science aren't going to care because it's not real anyway. Just have someone holding up a cool looking vial and saying "the gobbledygook worked!" or dramatically throwing a clipboard down and saying "dammit! The blah-de-blah failed again!" We don't need an hour long lecture on how the fake science works! Keep it vague, make it visually look cool, and show us actually important character interactions, and it will all flow so much smoother!

I'm so sorry you feel that way and man has it difficult to find any joy and excitement after that finale fumbled so badly again. It's a curse with this show, I swear. And it's extra frustrating that we did get to see some glimpses of happy Malex and a lot of people don't understand why that isn't enough but like, *gestures wildly at the finale with less than 10 min of screen time for Alex and all his big moments going to m*ria*. The journey matters, and what they show us on screen matters, and damn I sure bet Chris is regretting saying the words "same level of importance as Echo" in regards to Malex because that receipt is going to be brought up a LOT after what that finale served.

So I'm legitimately glad RNM's promo department listened to the POC criticism and is making clear that the only African-American character in RNM has a story instead of being a prop (just not that Greg is involved because its really, really gross and from what little we know of Greg is completely wrong for his character). But the same promo department must have heard the equally-if-not-louder criticism that S2 was severely homophobic and so far on the LGBTQ+ promo side there's been nada. WTF?

I mean, yeah seeing the backlash of not just RNM but of SO many CW shows on the unfair treatment of POC characters, it makes sense that they'd be given Maria a bigger role this season. Plus we know BLM/racism is going to be a hot topic for season 3 and since Maria is STILL the only black lead on the show (again, CW, wtf), she may be involved with that as well, along her visions storyline. I will not ever be cool with her pursuing Alex's brother- she's done enough damage, please leave the Manes men alone.

The CW/Warner bros. is known to be homophobic with it's storytelling/representation. If anyone's seen a CW show you know what I'm talking about. If they don't have LGBTQ+ representation, then they'll just write in queer baiting scenes for same-sex characters (Supernatural, Teen Wolf). If they DO have representation then don't get attached folks, one of them is gonna die (Buffy, PLL, the 100, Walking Dead). It's why the CW is known for the "bury the gays" trope. At the very best what we can hope for is a gay/queer couple that receives limited screen time or is poorly developed in comparison to the straight couples (Riverdale, RNM, Supergirl) but still stays alive. It's very unfortunate, but it's on the network not changing their homophobic stance. It's also why RNM is my last CW show as I don't expect Warner bros to change their ways anytime soon and I'm not giving them any more chances.
