Never gonna get over how the anime made this scene just so,, haunting and elevated. Like I love the manga but I love how the anime has taken these scenes and elevated the themes of death and rebirth with simple shots like this and it’s why even after reading all of the manga I still get excited for the anime because I *know* the anime will not only be a faithful adaptation, but also an artistic masterpiece as it uses the medium to its advantage

While in Marie’s dungeon Tiefsee wonders and fantasizes, the creamy light orangish yellow skinned dumbo octopus Metaverse creation with elf/like ears long vibrant orangish yellow tentacle tendril hair bright reddish pink eyes covered up by a golden sharp point of a trident shaped masquerade mask, he’s wearing a grey trenchcoat with golden buttons and a skull and crossbones badge on it complete with a white collared shirt underneath with a light reddish pink tie, he wears grey pants and white boots with golden buttons on them.

“ Hmmmm.. Morgana would make for a good partner…” Tiefsee says as the fantasy begins.

Tiefsee and Morgana are in a wedding chapel with a primarily white pink and gold theme with pink glass artwork on the glass.

Tiefsee has his tentacle tendril hair tied into a ponytail by a bright reddish pink scrunchie as he’s wearing heavy eyeliner, he’s wearing a white collared shirt complete with a bright reddish pink tie with a x pattern on it wearing a white vest white pants with a golden belt around it and a white gangster scarf around his neck with a reddish pink skull and crossbones symbol on it.

Morgana on the other hand has his black fur slick refined gelled and raised up giving the appearance of fashionable and slick hair, as well as him wearing a black collared shirt with the collars raised up around his neck black suspenders with gold bits and a bright cyan blue bowtie.

“ Tief I can’t believe we’re getting married… I love you and appreciate you so much!” Morgana coos in appreciation as he meows flirtatiously.

“ Yes indeed.. I hope we’re able to live a long and prosperous life together… and I know we will.” Tiefsee says sternly earnestly smiling as he looks up to see Yaldabaoth as the clergyman reading a book.

“ In good health and sickness would you stick by your husband’s side?” Yaldabaoth asks as Tiefsee nods.

“ I will! I will!” Tiefsee and Morgana nods in agreement as Yaldabaoth announces.

“ Then.. I hereby announce Morgana and Tiefsee as husband and husband!” Yaldabaoth announces as Tiefsee and Morgana sloppily make out Yaldabaoth smiling at Tiefsee.

“ Go get him my sweet prince…” Yaldabaoth says as Tiefsee hears someone waking him up from his daydream.

“ Tief? earth to Tief?” Morgana says as Tiefsee blushes.

“ G-Get out of here!” Tiefsee says as the two of them are inside the safe room.

“ after all we’ve been through together your still this closed off? that’s kinda charming~” Morgana smirks as Tiefsee groans.

“ The rest of the thieves are going to confront Marie.. feel free to come with if you’re ready.” Morgana says walking off.

“ Ugh.. I’ll show Mona! For Yaldabaoth.. for Akechi..” Tiefsee Laments as he runs after Morgana Chasing after them as always, he’ll catch him eventually.

mary ann introduces gorgug as her best friend to every person they meet

you know what i think is really cool about dungeon meshi? the fact that it really handles the whole 'how our food is made' so gracefully. in this day and age, we've become so disconnected from how our food is produced and distributed that the thought of how our food is obtained brings disgust to many people (and for the big industry farms, it honestly should! but im referring to our existence as omnivores in the food chain). marcille acted ridiculous whenever the thought of killing a monster for food is brought up, but honestly, she's a great model for how many people nowadays react whenever they have to truly think about what they are consuming/are brought to a meat farm.

senshi shows the characters (and us, the audience) about the process of making food in a respectful, genuine way to the creatures he has used to produce nourishing meals. by explaining the nutrition and benefits of each creature, he creates and healthy relationship between the consumers and the meal they have. the show really brings a new dimension of respect for each of our meals. truly the bob ross/marie kondo of cooking.

King Laios x succubus!reader who are both doomed by the (my) narrative™️ because: he is being pressured to find a wife to secure the future of the kingdom but he simply cannot help his fascination with the only (not so) monstrous creature that managed to bypass the Winged Lion's curse— a succubus who was shunned by her coven because of her lack of appeal and inability to seduce victims.

You swore that you weren't there to steal his life force, which easily convinces Laios to strike up a friendship with you (despite Marcille and Kabru's dissuasion). You visit him every night to converse with him about kingdom affairs. He doesn't ask questions about how you feed and maintain yourself since he considers it a private matter. You bond over his desire to see monsters again and your wish to form a more meaningful tie with humans.

The more time you spent together, the more you realised just how enticing his energy was to you, so you disappeared— not wanting your growing desires to pose a threat to the only human who saw you as an equal, who saw you as a friend.

Many years pass but Laios never married, opting for the wisest men of the kingdom to select his successor among the most brilliant men of the land instead. He often wondered where you were and what you were doing. Some nights, you let your curiosity get the better of you and check in on him, and you feel somewhat relieved that he shared his bed with no one else.

One night, he caught you leaving through his window and cornered you. He asked you where you've been and what you've been up to, and even commented about how your beauty hasn't changed even after all those years. You remarked on how handsome he still is even though he is already an old man. He finally asked you the most taboo thing of all: what did you feed on?

(You tell him the truth: You fed on the life force of living creatures— not enough to hurt them, though— rather than having intercourse with men. How could you bring yourself to harm humans after being friends with one?)

Laios was both pleased and relieved with your answer. He then offered you to take his remaining life force, eventually admitting that he wanted to offer it to you long ago but was afraid you'd rebuff him or be offended. You granted him a night of blissful dreams but not enough to bring him to his grave and vanished from his life for good— in fear you might kill him from loving him too much.
