do you have any headcanons for like neuropsychiatric disorders for stan and ford? like whether or not they have autism or adhd or bpd or something? i was thinking about how i sort of project audhd onto stan and became curious about other people's takes on the characters, especially people with personal experience etc. and how it would intersect with other parts of both of them (queerness and upbringing and trauma and so on so forth) also realizing this is a long ask just wanted to hear your take...

Both Stan and Ford are BPD kings in my mind. They have the right collection of family/life trauma for it to manifest and they show off many of the symptoms, both negative and positive. Lots of their behaviours align with BPD.

I think Ford is also autistic, personally. He reminds me a lot of my partner who is, and he just holds a lot of traits that go in line with it.

Listen, I LOVE when people project their own mental illnesses/divergence onto fictional characters. It's my favourite thing. I do think you have to be careful of how much you do it/maintain a boundary there, but it can be really fun to play with otherwise.

I also think it helps with writing them! I write my version of Ford with BPD and autism, and it helps to no end when I'm trying to figure out how I think he'd react to a certain situation. Considering a character within the bounds of their traumas is actually a super useful way to pin down how they might behave.

I don't know if it was the audio quality or not but it's so hilarious that Eddie just goes BUCK in such a loud voice. It's giving me 'I'm so cool with my queer best friend I'm so supportive' 😭✋🏽. "You look great together" and he sounds strangled, still talking in a high pitch voice. "Have fun, stay safe!", he probably says as he grins too wide while clutching his forgotten girlfriend's hand tightly.

Personally I don't think Animation vs Math is connected to anything, and that's okay.

AvA1, AvA2, AvA3, and debatably AvA4 and the first AvM and every standalone "Animation vs" video were all made because Alan thought it would be neat. They didn't mean anything or have a point in some greater design until significance was retroactively applied to them years later.

He's allowed to still do that, even though he has multiple series now.

This video doesn't have to connect to AvA6 any more than AvPokemon or AvArcade or AvMario or any of the others have to connect with previous episodes of the main series. If you're expecting something on par with AvLeague, as far as continuity relevance, remember that that one's actually an exception to the norm XD

The secret to advanced math is to sacrifice your ability to ask anyone you know for help with a problem, in exchange for the ability to say "Oh the thing I'm working on is [relatively simple math concept]" and have literally no one bother you for the next 5 hours because they'll assume whatever you're doing is Difficult and Important Work

wait. theres an npc in oxia who goes "ive already wasted the entire year! only half of it has passed" hmm hmm. then Giuseppe is 15 martian years old but behaves like an earth 15 year old. and martians normally live to 90. and chenxue mentioned giving health checkups to entropy who was in diapers at the time. then chenxue is in her 50s in earth years?? well that makes. sense.

orrr hear me out. time in langqiu runs 2x faster than oxia since the great eruption but their perception of time stayed the same. this is how we fit 200 years of technological progress in a century. this kinda falls apart via some canon fact i think.

theres just too many inconsistencies in oxia for it to not be a dream. it might be ajita's stigmata space?? that's if ajita is chenxue. is she, though?
